We had a birthday gathering to celebrate 2 aunts birthdays (one turned 90, the other 85). We had the party at the assisted living place then afterward about 25 of us decided to go somewhere to eat. Vincent's was nearby so we converged on them! They handled our large party flawlessly and everyone was pleased and impressed with their orders, the serving sizes, the yummy garlic roles and the great salad! I think we ordered just about every entree! I ordered the seafood fettuccini and it was wonderful! Large meaty scallops, large shrimp, mushrooms, noodles and yummy sauce! Enough to have for lunch the next day! Very very good service! Our server was awesome!

So we came here on a whim for our first time on a Sunday night.. First impression? Not the best, we stood at the counter a good 5 or so minutes before anyone bothered to acknowledge us, even though servers and bartenders could see us from the bar. We almost left, almost, but I was craving Italian and it's Sunday evening, whatever we'll let it slide. We started off with the mussels in the white wine garlic butter, the mussels had a wonderful texture and were quite plump, the sauce was quite decadent, and delicious to sop up the rolls in. On to those rolls, they are WONDERFUL!! The salad was just okay, simple, but make sure to toss it (bring on the jokes) well to coat it in what I think is a red wine vinaigrette. I think I would have just loved to see some chickpeas on it to complete the package. I did something I NEVER do, in fact I generally scoff like a giant snob at the idea of ordering alfredo. But I ordered alfredo, the Seafood Fettuccine Alfredo to be exact. I wanted something my pescatarian boyfriend could sample, and the man loves alfredo.Since he's buying my dinner, it's a small sacrifice to make, right?! What I got was a I giant portion with giant juicy scallops and large succulent shrimp. It was really quite good, and I now have enough for lunch today! WIN! We'll definitely be coming back, and I can't wait to try more of all the tasty things!! OH LOOK, IT'S NOON, TIME TO GO HEAT MY LUNCH!

Went for the second time last night and had a nice meal with a friend(hoping for a nice relaxing dinner)...had an appetizer of an antipasto...the server seemed to be in a hurry, asking us every 5 minutes if we were ready to order, even before the appetizer came. The antipasto was huge, very good, so we ended up sharing an eggplant dinner that was just ok, then ordered coffee and a cannoli to share. I asked for a second cup of coffee and was shocked to have the server quickly snatch up the check to add the full price for the second cup, without informing me...she said they only give refills for water and tea...I have not been to any other restaurant in Atlanta that charges for refills of black coffee. I can understand cappucino or latte...it left a bitter taste in my mouth. May have to be convinced to return. WANT TO ADD...I was contacted by the manager who was very apologetic and sent me a $30 gift card. Will return soon and am very appreciative of this gesture...good marketing!!!

The ambiance of this place for that quiet lunch break or romantic evening highlights the quality of aesthetics that the Italian culture has to offer. This is what I noticed first and felt quite comfortable for my lunch break right away. I can't say that I was very impressed with the knowledge of the waitress that day when it came to the menu options. There were some dishes I was interested in and she seemed to have a hard time explaining them to me. This made ordering just tea even a bit of a challenge as I wanted to know if it was house-brew or created handmade or was a brand I could pick up at a local store. As far as the dish goes, I must say was very salty and cheesy. I don't think this would be the very healthiest of places to dine but it tasted good nonetheless! Just keep in mind it is for an evening diet-wise to splurge on. Pros: -Great environment for family or solo -Great music choice/volume level -Restaurant is gorgeous, visually speaking. Cons: -Could use a bit more time to inform staff of menu and dish descriptions. - Very oily food.

Been here 2x, and I should mention it was under duress. Service was OK, let's just say it was better than the food...Calamari had no flavor what so ever! Spaghetti & meatball lunch was so so.. You can tell that food had been frozen prior to being cooked, not homemade meatballs here ...Overall, I would only recommend if you are suffering some type of serious hunger issues where you can't manage to make it any further down Barrett Pkwy.. Also, it's never a good sign when a business is constantly looking for staff , as its advertised out front every time you drive by. If you want to laugh, go into the women's restroom and check out the size of the toilets... I haven't seen anything this small since my kids were in daycare..lol

The garlic knots are to die for and the food is amazing. I got a sampler platter and was stuffed at the end. Get seated before 6pm and there is happy hour meal prices!

I am writing this review mainly because I am stuck inside and it is raining out. So out of boredom I am catching up on my reviews. Vincent's has some really great food, however, it was better five years ago when I first started going. I do love the salad and garlic bread. The entree's are were the flavor has suffered. It is just not as flavorful as it was a few years back it is sort of bland comparatively speaking. I will continue to go but not as often. I recommend it if you leave nearby but I would not travel from afar to try it out, unless you just need to give it a try for yourself.

I expected good and I got fantastic! We ordered to go and it was ready in 15 minutes. I ordered the seafood fettuccine which consist of shrimp and scallops. The scallops were huge and meaty very delicious the shrimp was quite large as well very well also mushroom which I love worth the buy!!! My husband ordered the chicken Gorgonzola which he said was very good. The garlic knots were okay not bad not good just okay. The Italian salad was mediocre could have been better just looked like a tossed pre-made bag from Walmart with chickpeas thrown on there. I would try to dine in next time to rate the service but overall worth the go if your feeling Italian and are tired of olive garden.

Amazing dinner, had the salmon dish. Very enjoyable atmosphere. Really wish they would have had organic lettuce so I could enjoy the large salad they bring out!

Excellent Pizza, from a NYC girl, this is as good as it gets in West Cobb, or anywhere actually. All the other items on menu ( have had quite a few ) are excellent also. Enjoy !

The food was decent, the menu is pricey, and the bread and salad is horrible! If you are a fan of scalinnis you will not care for this restaurant. The bread is complimentary I think but the salad is Ala cart. To make adjustments to the salad even though you are willing to pay the difference is like pulling teeth either that or our waitress just wasn't interested in doing her job. Me and my companion took his family and his pastor out to dinner here because it was closer to his pastors house. I would've given everyone $20 in gas to drive to scalinnis on cobb parkway. The check was like $130 we tipped $40 and the food wasn't really that good. My first choice was treating everyone to ruths chris which i knew wouldve been good. I only went once, but I would dine at olive garden before I ate here again. The waitress sat us in the front I guess she feared being we are people of color we would've ran out on the check. She didn't become pleasant until she saw she had a 40 tip for only serving 5 adults and 1 child and then asked did we need to go drinks or boxes. But I can expect that type of bigotry for "kennesaw". I didn't want to make a big deal about it because it was my companion entertaining his family and pastor, if had been me and my family we would've complained to the manager and left. If we were in New York I'm sure the service would've been better and the food would've tasted more authentic. I don't understand why people are raving about this place, I guess they haven't had real italian food nor share my complexion therefore their service was better.

Expecting a pasta dish and getting what resembles soup definitely jilts a first-time experience at a place that considers pasta a specialty. I went into this meal so excited to have found an Italian place with gluten-free pasta and a restaurant name not off of the regular list of chain restaurants, but I left with a belly full of disappointment. Since changing my diet a little over 2 years ago for medical reasons, I've eaten my fair share of gluten-free pasta. It's safe to say I am familiar with and well-prepared for the differences found in gluten-free varieties and their gluttonous counterparts. So when I try to find a polite, indirect way to address the fact that my penne and scallops are drowning in what looks like watered-down split pea soup rather than pesto and I ask the waitress if this is typically how the pesto dishes are, I don't expect to have to call bullshit on her response that: yes, the gluten-free pasta doesn't absorb the water and always turns out as this weird, relatively tasteless concoction. And while I understand the aversion to gluten-free customers that prevails throughout the food industry due to the ongoing fad diets that typically attract the more demanding and demeaning types, I also understand the attention to customer satisfaction that should drive a server interested in generating the greatest possible tip percentage. Luckily, I've waited tables for the past 14 years of my life, and would never dream of leaving less than 20% on a check, but the least a server can do when a customer suggests that the meal is underwhelming is to notify a manager or offer a solution to the problem. The best answer is definitely never to leave the customer with a "Sorry your $20 pasta dish sucks, it's just always that terrible" attitude. I mean, there's no way that their pesto sauce is that watery normally-- my penne was literally floating around in the bowl. That kind of food quality puts restaurants out of business. Well, sometimes it puts them on that TV show, Kitchen Nightmares, first, but eventually out of business, nonetheless. Get a grip, Vincent's. Or possibly a strainer.

We've been going to Vincents for years. Love the pizza, but I don't eat it much. Glad to see much healthier options on the new menu! WE ALL MISS THE BEETS on the salad. We were told by the waiter that there were complaints on Yelp so they stopped putting the beets on their salads. Can't the one person who doesn't like beets pick them out? Great service, good food...bring back the beets please!

Hungry? This is a great place to get cheap Italian food. Their "Construction Menu" is the way to go. With choices like $2.99 baked ziti, ravioli, spaghetti, etc., you really can't go wrong. Add in a salad and drink, and you're in and out for well under 10 bucks. Notably, the portions were large, for such a small price. Service was so-so; the waitress missed a few of our requests, including meat sauce for one in our party, and when we asked for bread. For the most part, though, it's a fairly decent choice if your palate isn't feeling particularly discerning, and you're looking for a quick, cheap lunch.

I tried to give it another shot. The wait staff is all so nice and helpful (extra star for service alone), but at the end of the day the food is still just meh. I've gone back 3 times since my last review because it's literally minutes away and by far the closest Italian for me in a pinch. But it's just unremarkable at best and not good at worst. Sorry! But it's da truth! ~~Feedback is a Gift~~ it's an opportunity to get better.

Tonight was our first visit to Vincent's, after finding out about it on Yelp. We were seated relatively quickly, in a nice booth. The place was hopping, busy with folks eating and enjoying food and wine. We ordered our food, a glass of wine, and before long fresh garlic rolls and house salad were brought to the table. The house salad came in a large bowl for sharing, traditional Italian style salad with garbanzo beans included. The garlic rolls were heavy on the garlic, but really tasty. I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana, because, well, that's what I love. My wife ordered the Lasagna. The food came out in a reasonable time, and was still nice and warm. So much so, that my wife had to wait a while for her lasagna to cool off enough to eat, which isn't a bad thing. She said it was really tasty, heavy on the meat and loved the portion. My chicken parmigiana was ok, definitely better than most places, definitely didn't taste frozen and heated up, and tasted relatively fresh. One cutlet was tender, the other a bit more hard, but both were good. The tomato sauce was very tasty, a good sweeter marinara. Cheese was perfectly melted. The service was attentive and friendly. We had a great meal, and will definitely be back.

My first experience there. After slogging through horrible traffic at 5:30 pm, Vincent's was an oasis of great food and service. Well worth the trip. We were fortunate to get there before 6pm and enjoy the EarlyBird specials. This included endless salad, garlic bread knots, and chocolate cake dessert. The prices were totally reasonable. I had the chicken piccata over linguini. Wonderful. My wife had the lasagna and reported that it was great. Excellent service. Never wanted for anything. Hope to see you there because I'm going back.

I went to Vincent's for a late lunch and it was my first time to eat there. And, The food was delicious and excellent. The menu is filled with awesome Italian dish, which made my choice of entre hard. I got the lasagna, which was part of the before 3pm special that included an entre with salad or soup with a dessert for $10!!!!! And, their bread with the garlic sauce is beyond excellent! The lasagna was served in a huge portion and it was loaded with meat and topped heavy with delicious mozzarella cheese!! Then, for the final course --- the decadent chocolate cake with chocolate icing slice was served!! That cake was so good. Having lived in Chicago for 10 years prior to moving to the Atlanta area about 2 years ago, I was wondering if I would be able to get a taste of Chicago in Atlanta. I have found it!!!! The place is bigger than it looks from the outside and it has a nice cozy atmosphere that is perfect for a causal nice lunch with a friend, to a business lunch, or a special occasion dinner.

Count me among the detractors of this place. So the story I've been told is that when the Frankie's family biz split, this is supposed to be the one the original owners kept. Not sure if that's true. The Frankie's on Canton & this place both fall way short of just good, basic family style italian. The pizza here is bad, really bad. "Best pizza in West Cobb?" That's like saying best pizza in Syria. To the knucklehead who claims that here, do not believe him. Every single thing my wife & I have had here - 2 visits - was mediocre at best, and way below what you get at the Frankie's on Roswell. This place averaging 3/4 stars is a quintessential example of why Yelp can be so, so lame. There is no way in hell that it deserves that rating.

Brought my visiting relatives here for Dinner. This was the first time for me & my Family as well. I thought it would be cute because their last name is Vincent. Being from NY it has been difficult for me to find good Italian food. I was typically making better in my own kitchen. Upon entering we were immediately greeted and seated. The restaurant was clean with rustic décor. The smell in the air was as though my Mother was in the kitchen cooking for me. We started with Calamari and a small Pie to try the pizza. The 7 of us cleaned our plates. We then were given our soups and salads served with piping hot delicious little rolls served with a Garlic dipping oil. The soups were wonderful and are definitely fresh and homemade. The Salad was fresh and crisp with a wonderful dressing and sliced Beets. I ordered the Seafood with the Alfredo sauce and it was Delicious. My Husband had the Veal Parm. and said it was one of the Best he has tasted since we moved from NY. Everyone ordered the Chocolate cake for Dessert and Said it was Delicious. I was too full to eat some. The Waitress as well as the Manager and staff were very attentive and always making sure we has everything we needed. Never once did we wait for anything or have to ask. Unfortunately, I lost my pictures but will post on my next visit here. This is definitely a new "Go To" for us. The Prices were very reasonable. The portions will fill you and then some. Thank you so much Vincent's! We will see you soon! :)

My husband and I love Vincent's! We eat there at least twice a month and have always enjoyed our meals. Over the years we have brought friends and family members to Vincent's to celebrate different occasions and everyone has been impressed with the food. Their early bird specials are a great deal and their pizza is the best around.

  • Andy L.

Best pizza I've had in West Cobb. Ive also had their spaghetti and meatballs and their red sauce is really good, just enough sweetness and spices so it doesn't taste like tomato sauce and no too much so it tastes like ketchup.

The pizza is awfully decent and both cheaper and better than most delivery alternatives. Getting significantly better pizza will require a serious drive.

Before I begin my review, I must warn you I am not the biggest fan of Italian food! However I was with my 2nd mom and little brother and it seemed like everywhere we tried to go on Friday night had a least a half hour wait. I didn't have time to wait as I had something else to do so I called Vincent's since they were in the area and they said they had no wait so we went there. Service was fast, they brought out garlic rolls (which were not hot the first batch) and a family-style salad with chickpeas which I hate, but managed to eat around them and the salad was good. The sweet tea was okay, although I had to add more sugar to it. I ordered Pasta Vodka with Sausage (which was an additional $2 for the sausage), my mom ordered the same thing, and my little brother ordered Eggplant Parmesan. The server offered to refill the salad and bread which we took him up on the bread but not the salad. The second time the bread was still not hot but not as cool as the first bread so it was fine. Food came relatively quick and the portion sizes were very decent. I didn't eat all of mines there so I took most to go, and the server boxed my food for me, which I love at restaurants! I absolutely hate boxing my own food. 3 meals, with salad and bread, 1 sweet tea, out the door $59 (tip included) I only gave 3 stars because I am not the biggest fan of Italian and I honestly feel like the food should've been hotter (temperature wise). Will I return? More than likely no, because Italian food has to really wow me for me to go a 2nd time and I also live nowhere near here nor do I work near hear so really no reason for me to return.

Awesome find! What a great lunch! They have a special lunch menu at a cheap price for amazing food. We got chicken parmesan and pizza both we excellent. Service was very friendly and fast. Can't wait to come back for dinner. Great food at a reasonable price. Dont miss this place.

This restaurant recently changed hands. Original food got 5 stars, now it's at a 3 and heading to a 2 if they keep being cheap and bland. *) Shrimp Scamp sauce was bland & watery, and they only served 6 shrimps with the pasta for $17.99 They coated the dish in minced parsley. *) Calizone was bland as well. It came with marinara sauce that tasted like it was made using canned tomato sauce. *) The famous rolls and garlic butter have taken a hit too. They have been over baked the last couple of times I was there and the garlic butter is mostly minced parsley. It's like they're hiding the fact that the are not using much actual garlic. I left this same review at the restaurant since they gave us a piece of paper asking for one. I hope they read it. They need to go back to using the original chefs recipes! UPDATE: Saturday - July 26, 2014: Drove by the restaurant twice (6:00pm and 8:15 pm) and the parking lot was half empty both times.

Came here with my friend on valentines day. It was a place I always drive past but hack never been to. I wanted to try something different and it paid off! There rolls are heavenly and I got the Chicken Rollatini and it was fabulous! The house salad was delicious and I don't usually like salads. Their appetizer of calamari was huge! Only thing I say, is as a heavy beverage drinker, the cokes are small for my liking. But the waiter refilled them constantly so it partly made up for it. We will be going here again very soon! A little pricy but worth it! P.S. ALWAYS TIP YOUR WAITERS. Just my side note as a former pizza delivery man.

I was unfortunately disappointed with the food at Vincent's after reading all of the glowing reviews on Yelp. Positive: The service was great and the food came out really fast. The rolls were really delicious. Hot and garlicky! Mmm. Negatives: The restaurant was REALLY cold. We were all drinking hot tea in the middle of the summer. The hostess seemed really young and a bit unprofessional. My biggest problem had to do with the food. We all ordered meals that came with the family salad and rolls. The family salad was really mediocre. It was iceberg lettuce with a few toppings thrown on top with some italian dressing that could have come out of a bottle. The bigger disappointment was my seafood fettuccine. If you come here, do NOT order seafood because the chef does not know how to properly cook it. My scallops were chewy and my shrimp were really tough. The pasta and sauce were fine, but nothing special. My mother had the veal piccante, which she said was average. The side of pasta that came with it was very, very bland and a big disappointment. Bottomline: Rolls are good, but don't come here if you want good Italian food.

Really good Italian food in a nice subdued atmosphere. Generous portions and friendly service. Can serve large groups. Has a big bar and can provide carry out meals.

We often stop by Vincent's for dinner after our son plays baseball in the area. It's your typical family Italian restaurant. We haven't had anything here that wasn't good. The garlic rolls are great and the portions are very ample. A great place to take the family!

I can't believe they still have the $2.99 lunch special. It is so good. I am there for lunch at least twice a month. I love the owners, Rocky & Paul. They send this very southern girl straight to NY every time I am there, so delicious!

  • Greg H.

Good atmosphere and decor. The Tortellini and Spaghetti we had on our first visit were excellent and the portions huge. With many full means, you are served a small bowl of the house soup (so-so ok), a standard house salad (standard), your entree, and afterward, a small dessert (A+ chocolate cake in our case). Owners were there and seemed personable. Service was ok, but when I asked the waitress what exactly was in the Tortellini she said, "I've only been here a few weeks so I'll have to ask". Gee - after a "few weeks" they haven't trained their folks in what the ingredients are in everything on the menu (?). She was otherwise however, very friendly. Other than that, my only complaint is how dark the place is; it adds to the NY ambiance, but it's not "dimly lit"... it's DARK, as in, we could just barely see our food and had to use light apps on our phones to read the menus. Turn the lights up about 15% please. Other than those couple of question marks, the overall experience there was good and we will be back again. Note the early bird specials on their web site if you wish to save a few dollars (and don't forget to tip properly even if using coupons, etc. duh). UPDATED (9/5/2012): We've been to Vincent's three times since I wrote my initial review above, and I'll keep it at a good solid four star rating. So far so good, with good food and good service each time since our first visit - they even have it lit a bit better in the dining room since the first time, too. My one concern MIGHT be that they tend to put a bit more garlic in the sauces than I personally like, but the spaghetti, lasagna, and pizza have all been/remained excellent.

Anything less than 5 stars is uncivilized. I've been coming here for several years. We love it. The service is great. The VALUE is amazing. I love their salad and garlic knot rolls.

  • Larry T.

Appears that new ownership brings with it different food and service quality. We hope that both are improvement but sometimes it's the reverse. In this case I have to say that food quality is on the downward slope with service following close behind. Too bad! This was one of our favorites! The previous owners closely monitored consistent quality and delivered it in the food and service! Don't expect Vincent's to be the Vincent's your accustomed to. You'll be disappointed!

  • Heather S.

Not impressed. I ate the early bird special, which comes with soup salad, and rolls, which were good. The rigatoni with vodka sauce and chicken, which cost a hefty $14, was so bland I could only eat a few bites. And I'm a woman who loves her pasta. The service was really good, and the atmosphere was perfect, but the food wasn't good enough to justify the prices. Won't be going back.

Do these other people's taste buds not work?!? The rolls could be better. Swimming in too much buttery grease and bland. The garlic seemed like the kind pre chopped you buy at the grocery store. I got the chicken piccata for $17(Only veal is offered, but u can get chicken on this dish. Should I still pay veal prices?). I don't have thesaurus handy to describe in a lot of words how BLAND this was. My chicken on the airplane was way better. Airline food over homemade, hello people!? We even had a buy 1get 1 free coupon. Thank goodness, because $17 for a small chicken boobie cut in half, is NOT worth it. If you don't like beets, mention for them not to put it on the salad. Who puts beets on a salad, anyways? Waiter was attentive for a 7pm Friday meal. All in all, I'd rather go to Olive Garden and I dislike it too. At least I get value for money.

We have visited Vincent's about six times. The food & service is always very good,Especially the prices. We order the pizza to go. It's great (New York Style) I know that word is used often but this is for real. My favorite is the susage, peppers & onions over pasta. This is the type restaurant needed in west cobb.We get tired of the usual suspects.

First time dining here. Food was ehh . . So so. I've had better. Service was AWFUL. I was put off by several things. Sarah was our waitress and she couldn't have tried to be less attentive. Apparently there were specials, which we only found out about when the manager went to every table BUT ours, and we overheard him telling another table AFTER we ordered. Sarah asked if we had a coupon before even taking our order(we did) which made me feel like we got lesser service as a result. I always tip on the original bill so this upset me greatly. I would have to be convinced to go back. Rosario's in Kennesaw has better food and service and I would recommend that over Vincents.

The rolls and salads are the best thing here. After eating them, the rest of the food just seemed adequate. They've done a good job on the inside of this place, there's a lot more space on the inside then what you would think from looking at the building. I'll probably be back, but they really need to get coke zero.

This place reminded me of an Italian place in Ohio that I grew up going to, although Vinvent's sauce was better!! Went to a lunch baby shower here and it really fit the bill for delicious American Italian food. While I was swayed by their $2.99 lunch special, I ended up paying instead for the $10 early bird special which had more entree options and came with soup, salad and dessert.I felt I easily got my money's worth. Their soup course was flavorful, the salad was basic, but good and my lasagna was great! Just what I wanted. Our dessert was a thin slice of chocolate cake, but it really hit my after meal sweet spot. The place is actually really cute inside. Could even be considered somewhat romantic in the evening and their regular menu prices are not bad at all for dinner starting at around $7 and going up to $14. We will definitely be back.

We keep going back because the salad and rolls are sooo good. The service seems to get weaker unfortunately. The hostesses are childlike, timid and unprofessional which makes for a terrible first impression. The servers appear stressed, disorganized but desperate to be pleasant. The guys in ties serve only as ambassadors of the dining room. Before we were seated, we heard 2 ties and the guy with the pompadour complain there was no silver, meaning none was rolled in napkins for new guests arriving. Should have been a red flag to leave. We stayed as the tall older gentleman always smiles and is very gracious. Might be a family business, but there is no professional teamwork or formal training. Go for the good food, but expect little else.

Vincent's food is amazing. A few years ago, I didn't think so but now, I can't say enough good things. Their spinach and gorgonzola salad with bacon and grilled chicken is just amazing. Their appetizer with fresh potato chips with gorgonzola and balsamic glaze, insane. My mother in law loves the grouper no matter how its cooked. She's happy with it every time. Lobster ravioli, well, incredible. I love this place and miss it since I dont live there now.

  • Stephany V.

Much better than I expected! The rolls are amazing and the salad fresh. We had gnocchi with sausage, peas and a Gorgonzola cream sauce that was excellent...lasagna was average but not bad...maybe a tad mushy (and I'd like the cheese top to be more browned and bubbly). I give 3 stars because this is more of a home-style, no frills place, but for this category restaurant it does a fine job. If you're in West Cobb and in the mood for Italian this place should fit the bill.

Well executed local Italian. Fettuccine Alfredo is right up there with our fav. Baked ziti was perfectly executed & exactly what I expected. Salad is very good, rolls a tad too toasted on bottom. Minestrone soup was good with lotsa veggies in a rich tomato base. Service is good- thoughtful & experienced enough to anticipate your needs. We'll head back!

The decor on the inside needs a little work I think but the food is great. They are family owned and very busy. Must try if you like anything italian.

I've been going to Vincent's for a while now and think if you want good Italian food then this is your place. The service in general is very good. In particular I'm pleased in that my favorite dish at Vincent's is a special (Penne a la Sambuca) and usually isn't on the menu. However every time I go, I ask for this special and they are willing to accommodate me. I think this is really where they shine, the general Italian fare is decent and definitely tasty but to me what makes Vincent's food better than the other restaurants are the specials. I already mentioned the Penne a la Sambuca (a delicious serving of penne in a sambuca cream sauce with pancetta and italian sausage) but have also tried other specials such as the lobster ravioli and some dish named after Grandma. I have only tried dessert once there but have to confess found it a bit lacking. I had the cannoli and only got two small cannoli which I didn't feel was a good value. The decor is pretty fitting for an Italian restaurant and the music reflects that, with the traditional Italian crooners playing in the background, so I feel it has enough ambiance for a family meal or a date night. So in general, for a good Italian meal you can't go wrong. I definitely would suggest trying a special vs the regular fare though.

Local Italian restaurant . Place could use a little sprucing up. This is a good solid choice if your not in the mood for fine dining. Service is tight and you get a lot of attention. Food is good not great. One real plus. They understand how to cook pasta correct. Everyone seems satisfied . Everyone has different taste so no recommend dishes. Go ... worth the effort and we have always left smiling and full.

Very yummy rolls...those were awesome. Heather was our waitress and she was excellent. Salad was really good too. I had the Chicken Piccata. Sort of boring meal. Hubby had chicken mediterean, I can tell it wasnt his thing though. Soup of the day was ministroni...yummy. Not sure what to order next time but will go back.

Very good authentic Italian food but the pizza was AWESOME . I am from New York and I think I really know pizza and this was really good, the best I have had in the Atlanta area. The key here is authentic, fresh ingredients with an understanding of what food should be! Enjoy!

Our favorite restaurant in West Cobb. Great Italian. The garlic rolls are ridiculously good. The salad is great - all you can eat. The white pizza (Pizzeta) is super good. And all the veal dishes are my favorites, especially the Veal Gorgonzola. The owner and his son are usually there and are super nice. Walked us out to our car with his umbrella the last time we were there.

Pass this place all the time. Saw a sign for the $2.99 lunch special. My husband, said it's probably just 2 slices of pizza and a drink, no big deal. I said, you don't know until you try it! So in we went and were surprised by the selections on the $2.99 lunch special!! You had to purchase a drink, no big deal. I chose the Ravoli and paid .99 extra for meatballs, and a $1.99 extra for a salad. First the salad came out and you would think it would be a side salad, tiny, NO! It was in a larger bowl with lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, chick peas and onion! Then the garlic rolls came out, omg - yummy - then the main dish - 3 huge Ravoli, and 3 large meatballs! It was almost to much food for lunch. Food was really good and the service was great. Can't complain about the portions, taste and friendliness! Great food for less than $18.00 for my husband and I and if I didn't add the add ons it would have been much cheaper. I hope they continue the special b/c we will be back!

Old school Italian restaurant. Great food. Great hospitality. We came to Georgia from Nj and couldn't believe the gem we found. Don't pass it up.

We were driving by and decided to try out a different restaurant. I ordered a calzone with spinach, tomatoes and onions. There was a good bit of spinach, only 3 thin sliced tomatoes and I never saw or tasted the onions. Way too much bland ricotta and very little mozarella. Absolulely no seasoning/flavor in it at all. Side salad is $4 - seriously?? My dinner parter had fettucini alreado with chicken - sauce was great but didn't warrant $16. Waiter was good - very attentive in the beginning but once more guests came by, he was almost invisible. Meh - definitely don't see what these other higher-rating customers got because our meals were blah. We'll keep driving past this place next time!

I have been a customer of Vincent's since they opened about 6 years ago. It says a lot to me that in that time the food quality has remained the same. A common mistake that several restaurants make is cheapening the food quality while raising the menu prices and removing popular items from the menu. I am very pleased that Vincent's has not done any of that. They also have changed the interior to create a more cozy atmosphere. If you have not dined there you are seriously missing out!

I took my wife and 12 y.o. son here today after checking out all the reviews here. We arrived shortly after 1 pm and the place was very busy. The hostess told us that they had a special "Barrett Pkwy, Road Construction Special". I got a bit of a chuckle out of the name. We almost left because the room was packed and there was a wait. But the hostess Lisa, who was very sweet, convinced us to stay. And we are very glad she did. This is a GEM of a value! It cost us $2.95 and we spent another $1 to get the salad with it. And their rolls are delicious!!! Imagine Provinos rolls with a hint of brick oven crispness on the outside. They were perhaps the best rolls I have ever had at an Italian restaurant. Well worth the trip.

My wife and I absolutely love eating here! Over the years we have tried just about everything on the menu but our favorites right now is the chicken scarpariello and the chicken gorgonzola, both exceptional dinners. The garlic rolls are so good and the salad hits the spot every time!

Shockingly good food for this part of town although frankly the food could hold its own even in Buckhead. THE BEST seafood in West Cobb by far. Remarkably diverse menu. You could eat a traditional Italian pasta dish one night, the seafood special the next night and then have their version of a steak on your third night. In the end, you would have had three wonderful meals and felt like you'd almost been to three separate restaurants!

Not super impressed... It's kind of expensive, and my Chicken Mediterranean was pretty small and kind of bland - it was more olives and artichokes than chicken. Service was not so great either - waitress wasn't very good with refills, and forgot to bring back food that we sent back to be put in a box. I also had water spilled on me by the waitress, which I guess isn't a huge deal, but I would've at least liked an apology. The owner was walking around and checking in on everyone, which was nice, but I still don't think I'll be back. Sad, because I really wanted to like it :(

Last minute decision to go there although we pass it all the time. I am so happy I did! Other than a bit of confusion when we first walked in (as to whether or not there was a table) it was a very nice dining experience. The salad and rolls are delicious! We had the Veal Gorgonzola and the Shrimp Fettuchini. Both excellent! We have just gotten back from a trip to NY/NJ and ask tons of good food there, so I was not really expecting to find a nice Italian place locally, but the food was better than the Italian dinner we had in Nutley, NJ...turns out, that's where the owners are from. Not surprised. We will definately go back!

Best Italian in West Cobb. Why visit a chain when you can come here!! I am giving it 5 stars. Even thought it is not fancy, white tablecloth, because for what it is (a great family restaurant, but also quiet and with dimmed lights could be nice for a date night as well, dimmed lights and no TV with football on in every corner -- which for me is a plus) it is great. What a fabulous meal! We went here last night with 5 adults and 2 kids (age 5 and 6). We had reservations and our table was ready and waiting for us. I hadn't been to Vincent's (except for pizza) within the last few years and forgot how good it is!! We got there in time for the Early Bird -- which is really worth it. We had soup, salad, amazing rolls, dinner and dessert. The wait staff was attentive, drinks were refilled quickly, etc. Everyone mmmmmm'ed their way through the meal and was still talking about it this morning! We had a wide array of meals from pizza, to veal marsala, eggplant parm, chicken carbonara....to plain old spaghetti and no one was disappointed. My daughter even said -- "Can we come back here tomorrow?". We also love Vincent's pizza. We often order them carry out -- for sure the best "real" pizza in the area!!

So delicious it's hard to put into words! The salad and rolls are wonderful! The Fettuccine Alfredo is the best I have ever had. My 10 year old son had the pizza and loved it! The atmosphere and service was great too!

We swung into Vincents for a family members birthday this past weekend. The atmosphere is pretty typical of a family owned Italian restaurant. The inside is a bit dark and the tables have those funky green plastic table covers with fake bottles of wine on them. The bottles were real, but they were full of water. What the heck is the point of that? The service from Angelica (our server) was fantastic despite us locking down 10 seats in her section for 2 and a half hours. She was very upbeat and helpful throughout the entire experience. The food was good. Nothing spectacular, but it was good. I ordered the eggplant parm and ate just about the entire thing only to feel ill the remainder of the evening. The prices were right inline with any other restaurant in our area, so no surprise there. I wish Yelp had .5 stars because this place was closer to a 3.5 due to the service, but I don't fee like they deserve a 4 simply because it wasn't great food.

We ate here about 4 days ago. They were very busy, but we were sat quickly. The menu was pretty good, but as someone who hates alcohol in any form, there was barely anything I even considered eating (I can taste the wine even if it's cooked). I was especially disappointed that only one out of a dozen or so seafood choices was not swimming in white wine. :( I ordered the angel hair pasta with alfredo and mushrooms. I couldn't finish the bowl and I didn't know why until I got the meal home and reheated it a few days later. The sauce was pure butter. The dripping off your plate, coating your mouth type of butter. I had to stand at the sink and drain the plate for nearly five full minutes, and even then I couldn't eat more than a few bites. I had to brush my teeth to get all the butter out of my mouth. I mean, the service was wonderful, the staff friendly, and the menu had variety. I just don't understand how they can qualify pure butter as alfredo sauce. Blech.

I first must confess being a bit of a food snob... Vincent's is a place you can go for top chef quality dishes for a fraction of what they could cost. The specials are always amazing and will exercise your taste buds. If its available you must try the Salmon with Pumpkin Squash Risotto. Would never imagine the combination, but it was if each ingredient was made for this dish...

Perfect atmosphere. Good salad and rolls. Food is NOTHING special. Don't expect Carrabas. I Get coupons in the mail constantly and that keeps me going back.

So after hearing about Vincent's for a couple of years I finally decide to go after hearing by sister ask "Hey Eddie, in the mood for Italian?"... Executive Decision, "I know a place...." Let me start by saying that the rolls are the best Ive had in GA in the last 3 years. The food itself was pretty good. I was born and raised in North Jersey, and these people are doing most of it just the way its done back home. I had the Veal Gorgonzola which was well prepared, my gf had the stuffed shells, awesome!,... one complaint.,.. the waitress had no idea what was good,. her wines, or absolutely anything about the restaurant at all. Her service was phenomenal, always had water, always had bread, but the knowledge was simply not there. Other then lack of training the restaurant was good, and I will def come back for the pie.,

Vincents has been a place for my family to go to since it opened. It is some of the best Italian food that you can get in West Cobb. The Garlic Rolls are to die for and I could eat 100 if they would keep bringing them. I have been there several times and I am sorry to be only giving 3 stars, but the service we had this last time was quite poor. If I had never been there before I would have only given 1 star. We went 2 days before xmas with a party of 5 for dinner and when we called ahead were told that they do not take any reservations and that it would not be a wait or a problem to get a table. When we got there around 6:30pm, the place is full and there is a 30 min wait. They said if we had 6 in our party they would have taken a reservation. When we addressed the Manager with what we were told, he said that he had only been there 3 months and that was the policy, so if we wanted a table we could have a seat and wait. Once we finally got to our table, our server was quite slow and did not seem to have a lot of confidence in what he was doing. He had a lousy wine presentation and dropped the foil of the wine on my plate while I was eating and seemed to have trouble opening it. Overall the food is good. They can make different meat dishes that are not on the menu and will typically work with you. I am sorry to rate them poorly, but service this time was just awful. I hope that if you go, that you it is on a average night, where they are not so busy.

It's not the best Italian food I have ever had, but it is running a close second! This is our second trip to this restaurant, much better the second time around. The pasta fagioli was great and love the buttery garlic rolls. I had the cioppino, would have liked a lil fettucini to go with the dish and a lil less fish. All in all, I would return! Was good to have a place open Christmas Eve!

Love their lunch specials...pasta shouldn't be expensive! They obviously know this at Vincent's. The quality of the food is very good and they even allow you to "create your own" entree.

Good NY style Italian food in Marietta. Pizza is really good and I love the pasta sauce. Great lunch specials if you want to try them out. One of the few restaurants that the owner/manager checks in with your table. A lost art in the restaurant business.

Vincent's is a newer, family owned, Italian restaurant that is RIGHT around the corner from my house. Therefore, I go there quite often because I loathe cooking. The food here is pretty darn good although they honestly could use a little more seasoning, but again, my hatred of cooking forces me to eat anywhere else except for my own home. My oldest daughter LOVES to eat here and my ex-chef (don't think I'm lucky - he doesn't cook at home) husband doesn't seem to mind it either. I've only had fettucine alfredo with seafood (because it is my absolute favorite food and I get it whenever we visit a place that has it) and a meatball sandwich that I got for lunch, which was pretty darn tasty and DID NOT lack seasoning - I felt it all day...thanks to my heartburn! Their calimari is good too...not so much of the squid like pieces that I don't care for. This makes is sound like a cheesy place, but they often send buy one get one free coupons in the local paper, which is cool. It appears to have a good crowd during the evening although my daughter and I were the only patrons for lunch at noon one day. I hope they stay in business though. I like family owned restaurants to stay alive but more importantly, want to have seafood fettucine alfredo waiting for me right around the corner!

My wife and I really like this place. The sauces are not too heavy and there is a very good variety of choices on the menu. It is family owned and the staff is warm and on top of things. They have an excellent take out business with their pizzas which are the best in west Cobb. We eat here a couple of times a month and never had a bad experience with food or service. It is a good place to take the whole family but they also have a bar area that you can sit at and watch TV. I think it is the best Italian in west Cobb.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
