Obviously, I watched cupcake wars on Netflix and when I heard she was in Marietta, I had to go... So, they are not open on Sundays, and close by about 7 on most weeknights, because of this it took a little bit longer to get here than I would have liked, as I was very excited to try them out. The inside is equally as cute as everyone said. The cupcakes are good, but vary widely in flavor and good-ness. I ordered the Cranberry Margarita, Chocolate Peanut Butter, and Rosemary Tangerine Cupcakes. The Rosemary Tangerine was by far my favorite. It was filled, giving interest to the cupcake, was not overly sweet, and the frosting was creamy. Cranberry Margarita was my next favorite. The flavor was spot on, but the frosting was a little grainy. Not sure if it was the particular day, or just a different type of frosting that I do not enjoy as well. I say all of this, but I still finished the cupcake so it definitely was better than 75% of the cupcakes I have ever had. I just had high expectations than I would have if I had just stumbled upon the store. Chocolate peanut butter was my least favorite. I ate half of the cupcake and was done. It was rich, and good, but not as good as the others. Again I would still serve it to friends and recommend them, but after the Tangerine Rosemary, there was just no comparison. Definitely give them a shot! I would also recommend a weeknight if you can, just so it isn't crazy crowded.

I am not a fan of the cupcakes. I drove to the Marietta Square and located this quaint cupcake shop. I love the decor however, the cupcakes were a bit heavy. I tried the vanilla cupcake with the chocolate icing and the devil foods cupcake with the vanilla icing. What I can say is the icing is not sweet (which I like) however the texture of the cupcake is a bit greasy and heavy. I will try this spot again in the future. Hopefully the next experience will be better.

I am a self-proclaimed 'cupcake connoisseur' and have eaten cupcakes from all over the US as I travel. Mamie's are hands-down my favorite in this area for the last 4 years! Love the flavors, presentation and quality of each sweet treat I bite into. Can't hurt that they won Cupcake Wars either-they definitely earned it! Keep up the good work!

Miss Mamie made the cupcakes for my daughter's first birthday, and everyone kept saying how they were the best they've had. When I mentioned they were also gluten-free, they were even more shocked. Well done!!! We coordinated them in the theme of the Very Hungry Caterpillar, and from some pictures sent through email, she was able to deliver exactly what we needed to set up the table in that theme. We were super pleased and will be stopping by for our sugar rush very, very soon. I'd recommend them to anyone, hands down!

Miss Mamie's won the famous Cupcake Wars. Too bad I didn't see the show before I came here, or else I would've tried to look for Miss Mamie herself. There were a few young women there, maybe one of them was Miss Mamie. I think it could've been the black girl. Miss Mamie's is a cute little cupcake shack. Cupcakes aren't really for manly men like me. Cupcakes seem to draw in the females more. Heck, while we were there, only female customers came in. The place looked all cutesy and feminine. If you wanted to dine in, they give your cupcake in a fancy-smancy looking plate. I felt like I was in a Jane Austen novel. Miss Mamie's offers a good selection of cupcakes. She had S'mores, Guinness, strawberry, Red Velvet, Coconut Lemon, German Chocolate, and many others. All of the cupcakes look professionally designed and looked yummy. I liked the look for the S'mores cupcake. The melted marshmallow and the Hersey's bar on top made it look extra delicious. I tried their Guinness Cupcake. The woman at the counter said it's one of their popular flavors. It comes with a Guinness flavored cake, topped with cream cheese spread, and sprinkled with chocolate chips. It tasted good. I didn't think they were moist enough though. I could tell some parts of the cake were dry. In the end, I liked it. Sure the cupcakes weren't perfect, but it was good enough. I give it about 3.75 stars.

We were on our way to the airport and my sister had a sweeth tooth and found this place on Yelp. The cupcakes are so fresh & moist. I tried the Vanilla, Carrot & Red Velvet. My sister is a chocolate lover and bought the Guinness, Lava and few others. I enjoyed the friendly southern hospitality. I will definetly stop here again next time I'm visiting Atlanta..

A friend and I both tried the S'mores cupcakes and were very disappointed. The cake was moist and that's the only good thing I can say. The icing was dry and grainy and the graham cracker on top soft and stale. We were there early afternoon and the lady helping us said everything is made fresh daily so we were surprised it wasn't good. I ended up throwing half of it away. I'll stick with Sprinkles, Crave Cupcakes (when in Houston - they are DIVINE) and even Publix bakery cupcakes.

Saw the claim in the window that they won Cupcake Wars, so I had to mosey on over to check this cupcakery out. I was so excited about spending the afternoon in Marietta Square that I promised to eat just a bite of each cupcake, to be able to try other goodies in the immediate vicinity. Bf and I chose strawberry and sweet potato. We started with the pink one (can you guess which flavor this one was?) and I really liked it. It was dense but moist and the frosting had a good strawberry flavor. Sig. other thought that the icing was cloyingly sweet, but he almost has an allergy to sugar, so take his opinion and do what you will with it. The next one was heavenly soft and he actually preferred this one to the first one. If you love pillowy fluffy cake, you will love this one. The frosting was a bit runnier (not melting off the cake's dome, but it had the typical cream cheese frosting consistency) than the strawberry one, but it complemented the sweet potato cake. I would recommend this sweets shop to any lover of cupcakes who happens to be in this great city square.

Miss Mamie's is a cupcake shop located at Marietta Square. Miss Mamie's won Cupcake Wars on the Food Network so congratulations to them for representing Marietta and the greater Atlanta area. This is a good place to stop by if you're at the Square, whether you want dessert after eating at one of the Square's restaurants, just stopping by for a snack, or picking up cupcakes to-go. These are gourmet cupcakes, among the best and most decadent I've tried so far in Atlanta, and they come at a premium. Cupcakes are $3 each. Buy 5 and get 1 free. Made-to-order jumbo cupcakes are $10 and a dozen mini cupcakes are $12 (up to 2 flavors, also made-to-order). You can also get custom cupcakes and regular cakes. For regular cakes: 6-inch cakes are $50, 8-inch cakes are $75, and custom cakes are $100, though you should call for current pricing. Cupcake flavors available on one of my visits included: Yellow Sweet Potato White Chocolate Raspberry Red Velvet Devil's Food S'more Caramel Spiced Apple Turtle Carrot Pumpkin German Chocolate Coconut Lemon Strawberry Chocolate Peanut Butter Guinness I once asked one of the staff which cupcakes she recommended and she said the Guinness was the one she recommended the most. It's their most popular flavor. It's a chocolate cupcake named after the beer it's made with. It's topped with cream cheese and chocolate chips. I've tried many of the flavors including the Guinness, S'more, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Strawberry, Turtle, Key Lime, Coconut Lemon, and Chai. Some flavors are seasonal/rotating. They're all delicious. I couldn't really taste the alcohol, if any, in the Guinness cupcake. It was pretty sweet and chocolatey. The S'more cupcake looks and tastes amazing. It's a chocolate cupcake topped with a marshmallow filling, chocolate buttercream, a mini graham cracker, and a mini chocolate Hershey bar. It's easily one of the most beautifully presented cupcakes I've seen. If you're ordering cupcakes for someone, you should get this one for the "wow" factor. The Chocolate Peanut Butter cupcake is a good, all-around cupcake. It's a chocolate cupcake topped with peanut butter buttercream and drizzled in melted chocolate. Very rich and super sweet. It should fill anyone's sweet tooth. The Turtle is a great flavor to get. It's a chocolate cupcake topped with caramel buttercream, pecans, and chocolate and caramel syrup. The Strawberry cupcake has real strawberry on top. I'm not a huge fan of the Coconut Lemon (taste/texture) or Chai (bitterness), but that's just me. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you order cupcakes to-go, they are placed in sturdy, snap-lock plastic containers. They have containers for single cupcakes and containers for half-dozen cupcakes. If you "dine-in," they serve the cupcakes on these cutesy saucers. This whole place reminds me of a little girl's tea room or doll house... or something. The table cloths have floral patterns and each table has flowers as the centerpiece. Yes, it's very much a girly place. Free parking is available directly on the Square. If you can't find any there, free street parking is available on surrounding streets or you can park in some of the free lots. My favorite is the one near the intersection of North Marietta Parkway and Mill Street.

Pretty disappointed with these cupcakes. I have never has Miss Mamie's but knew of them so I decided to get them for my gender reveal party. The baker was told what color to put in the center and what cupcakes I wanted.. Well first off it was done so sloppy that you could see blue coloring on the outside of the cupcakes, almost like they has some on their fingers and it went onto the cupcakes when being moved. So needless to say people knew what it was before biting into it.. The frosting was pretty good (that's why I gave 2stars instead of 1) but the cupcake was dry. As if all that wasn't pretty disappointed already there was barely any blue inside the cupcakes and some people hade to take 3 bites before even seeing blue!!!!!! EXTREMELY UNSATISFIED with my first & only experience there, as was everyone else.

So a few years ago I tried a couple varieties (I think one was waffle flavored) and they were all pretty dry and had a shockingly sweet chalky frosting. Always willing to give sweets another try, I recently came and had a Guinness cupcake, and my am I glad I did. My taste buds were ever so thankful for the oh so perfect blend of beer and chocolate cupcake. I am a tough chocolate critic too as I don't really like it. Yes, I just said that. Its true, but does not apply to this cupcake. The frosting was great and has really improved as its creamy and not too sweet. I also had a bite of the tiramisu cupcake and it had coffee soaked batter mixed with a creamy batter. Would be great for a cupcake breakfast. Yes, I think I just might...

The owner was rude, messed up my order, no true assortment in my order, and the cupcakes... All 3 dozen were dry at least the icing was good! Waste of money! I will just order from Georgetown cupcakes going forward for the additional $20! If I could not give them a star I'd take this 1 star back.

I'm a fan!!! I order a german chocolate cupcake, even though I was told the guinness is the most popular. The cupcake was delicious!!! I can't wait to try the guinness cupcake next time. It's officially my favorite cupcake dessert spot...

Mamie Doyle catered my wedding desserts and Lord have mercy she did an amazing job! From start to finish, Miss Mamie truly gave us a wow experience. My mama suggested we give Miss Mamie a shot after reading about her in Cobb Life magazine. We scheduled a tasting at Mamie's shop and she told us we could BYOB! On a weekday afternoon, we arrived at Miss Mamie's on Marietta Square with a bottle of champagne ready to sample some cupcakes. There were more than 20 flavors of mini cupcakes waiting for us to sample. Since it was the end of the day, Mamie kept bringing us different cupcakes to try. And oh-my-goodness-gracious they were all phenomenal! We ended up selecting seven different flavors for our wedding: Oreo, Reese's, Guinness, Mint Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin, Cheesecake and Strawberry. Everyone loved the desserts and Miss Mamie's level of service totally exceeded our expectations. I would recommend anyone looking for a sweet treat for their next event to use Mamie as a caterer for the desserts.

I haven't been here any other time but the event she hosted for us, but she was very generous to put out a spread of cupcakes, and she has some tasty combinations. There were alteast 6-8 cupcakes minis she had bakes for us and they were moist and frosted/decorated with care. You can tell that she loves what she does and takes pride in her store, her prices are reasonable and well worth the drive. Also a good thing to remember- they sell fondant, and tasty fondant... :) we will be back. The reeces cupcake is sinfully delicious!

I had such high hopes, from hearing about them on cupcake wars. Unfortunately I was very disappointed, the cupcakes were very dry and gritty. The red velvet was a complete let down. Very nice appearance though.

Seeing the sign saying "Winner of Cupcake Wars", I had no other option but to try this out. The displays are very beautiful. Best looking cupcakes I've ever seen. I went and bought 2, the blueberry and the strawberry. The blueberry was something I've never seen before. The only gripe I had was that it was a very dense cupcake and it lacked the moistness that I am used to. The strawberry was ok. Will I try them again? Yes...I want to see if I went there on an off day. Don't want to quickly judge and say this place is sub par because I doubt it. UPDATE: The first time I went there...must have had a bad batch..cuz I love them now! That Margarita cupcake tho??? Best I've ever had. Big fan

I recently worked with Miss Mamie's for my daughter's Sweet Sixteen Birthday party. I ordered the mini cupcakes in various flavors. The cupcakes were a HUGE hit at the party! I also rented the cupcake stands that are available at Miss Mamie's. We had a Gatsby themed party and the gold stands were PERFECT! Not only did the mini cupcakes look beautiful on the table, they tasted delicious. The party guests loved tasting the different flavors. Favorites were ... guinness, raspberry champagne, strawberry, s'mores, and margarita/lime. I highly recommend the mini cupcakes for parties. Whole cupcakes are too big. Small ones were moist and delicious and offered the opportunity to try several flavors. Ordering was easy and the staff was very helpful. Highly highly recommend Miss Mamie's!

Amazing flavor, super moist, so yummy!! These delicious delectiables are so damn good - yes, they're $3 a pop, but wow - so worth it. I am a fan of the S'mores, Turtle and Red Velvet cupcakes. Very cute, yet little ship, but a new favorite of mine.

Stopped in today. They won Cupcake Wars so since I stop at cupcake shops anyway, had to stop here. They were the ones with the shoes and the different colored tall socks (I actually saw that episode and remembered seeing the shoes). I tired 6 cupcakes. German Chocolate - Awesome! S'more - ok, not sure I like the graham cracker on top, was soggy. Red Velvet - ok, but not one of my favorites, didn't like the walnuts on top. Lemon Coconut - THAT WAS A GREAT CUPCAKE! Blueberry Peach - a bit weird but good. Turtle - pretty good if you like Turtles. All of the cupcakes are very dense, which I like. Definitely worth stopping in for a cupcake if you are nearby.

I love cupcakes so whenever I see a cupcake place I always have to stop by to check it out! I was in Marietta, GA for business and saw this cupcake place so I had to stop in. The store was very cute and had many pretty and delicious cupcakes. The guinness cupcake is amazing! Not dense, not too sweet and very flavorful!

So, like everyone else.....we saw that they won Cupcake Wars and had to stop in....was so excited that it was the anniversary of their win, and got 4 cupcakes and 2 free ones....so we picked our 6 and headed out.....Maybe we just aren't cupcake people but most of them were too sweet for our taste, the Strawberry tasted like Nestle Strawberry Qwik and the Carrot Cake was tasty...The Lemon Coconut was too lemony and the one with the coffee liquor in it was the favorite of two of us. We probably won't be back, but I am happy for her win, and her business...Good Luck Miss Mamie....

Wow... I only popped in with a Living Social deal to score six cupcakes and didn't spend a lot of time here... but when I got home and tasted the quick selection of random and best-sounding cupcakes they had.... These cupcakes were outstanding in my opinion! I cannot claim to be any sort of connoisseur of cupcakes but I do know what I had was delicious. People on Yelp are complaining they were dry. Again - no cupcake expert here - but I don't recall them being dry or dis-likable at all. Their flavors were very creative and fun and I just really enjoyed each one of the flavors I had. York Peppermint Patty... whew! Give this place a try!

My wife had the coconut lemon and I had the Guinness. Both were moist, rich and very good. We spoke to others eating beside us and they all agreed that the cupcakes they tried were really good. Will have to come back and try more varieties and as a side note they were on Cupcake Wars on Food Network and won their episode so they really seem to know what they are doing. Service was pleasant and the woman behind the counter was very helpful.

You can special order both vegan and gluten free/dairy free cupcakes here. The GF/DF chocolate cupcakes with icing were scrumptious, and hands-down, the best GF baked good I've had since going gluten free. I asked about the flour substitute b/c it was just so sticky and moist, it was hard to believe that it could be rice flour. it turns out it wasn't. she used crushed almonds as a flour substitute. OMG. Delish. Also, all her cupcakes are artfully dressed and fun. Her shop is perfectly decorated with that french country feel. definitely worth checking out.

Went in at the end of the evening right before they closed. Wasnt expecting much since I figured what cupcakes were left had probably been there all day. I am an obsessive baker and am rarely happy with the cupcake places that have sprung up...but I was ver pleasantly surprised!! They only had banana pudding or german chocolate, so I opted for the chocolate. It was the perfect ratio of cake to frosting. Frosting was sweet...but not tooooo sweet. Coconut filling was perfect. But the chocolate was better than perfect. It was a very deep, very cocoa-y, and so moist that you could smush up the crumbs with your fork...and believe me, you will want to! Just perfect!!! To top it off...this piece of heaven was under $3. I am a happy camper!

Miss Mamie's tries so hard to be a precious little southern small town square treat shop, but the proprietress is originally from Michigan, so... It's a little over-the-top, and her expensive cupcakes are just awful. But the transplanted Yankees here just eat that crap up, so I'm sure her shop will do just fine. Ah, cupcakes....isn't this trend over yet? Let's be honest here - if not eaten immediately upon removal from the oven, most cupcakes are dry, and they get drier still after being exposed to air and sitting under lights for several hours. Miss Mamie's cupcakes are terribly dry - her website touts them as "moist and delectable" but that, honey child, is most certainly not the case. Obviously, her flavors must have a Yankee bent to them, because I had the turtle flavor, and I don't know what passes for "turtle" a-way up there in Michigan, but here it means chocolate and caramel. This thing tasted nothing like chocolate nor caramel, not even close. The closest flavor I could assign it was burnt maple syrup - yuck. My husband had the Reese's cupcake, and agreed that the cake was very dry, and said that his frosting tasted like straight cocoa powder. I guess I should've just said, as a polite true southerner would when they can't say something nice, well bless her heart.

If you are in the Marietta area and in need of something to satisfy that sweet tooth, be sure to visit Miss Mamie's!!!! I have been visiting this little cupcake store since it first opened about a year or two ago, and I have never been disappointed. These cupcakes are the perfect blend of flavor, sweetness, and moistness. Opening a cupcake store has become such a fad in Atlanta, but I think that Miss Mamie's will be around for long time.

Cupcakes! I love em! I redeemed my Groupon for Miss Mamie's this weekend. I ordered the pumpkin, the apple, a devils food and a reese's cup. I only tried the apple and the pumpkin - I loved one and wasn't so fond of the other. The apple cupcake tasted more just like a spice cake than anything apple. It was "good" but tasted like something I could easily make myself at home. It wasn't anything to rave about or go back for. Now the pumpkin on the other hand was off the charts good. It was super rich and moist and the frosting was perfect in flavor and quantity. I will definitely be back for this bad boy before the fall is over. I will definitely go back and try some of the other flavors. On my to try list are: cookie dough, cookies and cream, reese's cup and cheesecake...yummm....

Super cute location and decor, and the kids having a birthday party in the back looked like they were lovin' life. But, as others have said, the cupcakes were dry, which was a shame because the icing was delish.

home-girl is 23 yrs old....& killing it! Her supa cute / sweet demeanor covers this dangerously delicious cupcake story. Saw the premiere of the show cupcake wars at the Strand on 3/25/12. Shop is conveniently located off the Marietta Sq. To the right if you're facing the courthouse. Website has great layout with awesome pics of the cupcakes. $3 a cupcake & totally worth it. The Marietta sq is historic but not trendy..until Mami's arrival.

The cupcakes are pretty decent. Lots of flavors to choose from, and aside from their few usual standbys they have rotating kinds. You have to call a day ahead to order also. The cupcakes are so cute, but gosh darn it, I just didn't like them all that much. I'll put it this way: I wouldn't turn 'em down if I was offered one again, but I don't see myself order any from here on my own again.

Loved these cupcakes!! We tried several different varieties and enjoyed them all. They were very moist and the icing was divine! My favorite was probably the white chocolate; the icing was a perfect white chocolate - not overdone, not too subtle. My son's chocolate/chocolate cupcake was great also. It had a really good milk-chocolatey flavor. My 5-year-old said he wants Miss Mamie to make his birthday cake this year!

My daughter's girl scout troop had a party at Miss Mamie's. It was ADORABLE! The girls learned to make fondant flowers, and leaves using cookie cutters and a textuing device for the leaves. Each girl was also given white frosting and a choice of color. I believe they were given two cupcakes, one chocolate and one yellow. I wish there had been a way to share the colored fondant besides tearing off a bit and passing it -- you know how kids lick their fingers while handling food, but other than that it was very clean and sanitary. The girls were also given adorable little glasses to sip apple juice from. It was a sweet touch. As for their selection of cupcakes, they had many interesting flavors -- sweet potato, red velvet, guiness (which they were OUT of!). I ate a GLUTEN free chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting. I thought it was amazing, especially considering it was gluten free, and my experience with gluten free in the past has not been delectable! But these were fabulous! All in all a great outing for the troop and a fun idea for a birthday party. I wish Miss Mamie great success!

This was a pleasant surprise to find on the square. The cakes, taste homemade if not then they have one hell of a box cake recipe. I know others complained and said that it wasn't moist enough. If your taste buds are use to Wal Mart and Kroger cakes then you may have a problem with this place but if you had a grandmother that baked after school treats then you will love this place. Great job!

CUPCAKES! With beer in some! Yum! Fresh, delicious & daring! The best cupcake I have ever had! Which variety? Hasn't mattered- red velvet, chocolate, whatever- it'll be the best _______ (fill in the blank for variety) cupcake you'll ever have! PS- seasonal are always a hit!

Miss Mamie's is the cutest, most perfect little cupcake shop! Her cupcakes are so creative and the atmosphere is darling. The venue is perfect for birthday parties and baby showers. Mamie and her staff are super sweet and helpful. If you haven't tried them yet, I suggest the guiness or chocolate mint cupcakes, but honestly, any flavor is fabulous! They are perfect addition to the Marietta Square! Check them out today :)

I have to say, I have seen this store while browing the farmer's market on Saturdays, and have always wanted to go in. When I received an e-mail from Groupon offering six cupcakes for $8, I was completely excited. I bought my coupon and made a reservation pretty quickly, and last Saturday I made my usual trip to the market and then stopped in the store. It's a very cute set-up, and the cupcakes themselves look wonderful. When I called, I had no idea what they offered, so I just asked them to surprise me and was given an assortment of fruit-based cupcakes. I started on the lemon as we left. And it was...ok. The icing was soft, but tasted a little too strongly of cream cheese for my taste. The cupcake had good flavor, but was much more dense than I expected. I was sadly disappointed...althought that didn't stop me from finishing the other five throughout the week.

Meh.....that about sums up my reaction to the first bite of my pistachio with florescent pink (meringue?) topping cupcake. We had high hopes coming here because its so darn cute but this is the second time that I have been disappointed. The pistachio cupcake was dry and flavorless, not a hint of sweetness at all. The pistachios were rather coarse for a cupcake. The frosting was....strange. Hubby had the Guinness cupcake-the frosting was fantab but the cupcake was so hard and dry on the top. Not worth $3 a cupcake.

Terrible. I wonder how they won cupcake wars on the food network. The cupcakes are less than flattering and definitely not worth the money. Plus they were Not customer friendly or warm. They didn't have many cupcakes or flavors to choose from anyway. There were about 20 cupcakes in the whole place. I expected way more. Boooooooooo!

I first moved to Marietta, GA, a year and two months ago received some cupcakes from here. Mind you, I do bake and looking to eventually, one day, start an organic bakery. I received the coconut, peanut butter, red velvet, and strawberry. These were pretty standard and in any bakery, you should be able to master these items hands down. The icing was horrible. All I tasted were some cheap artificially flavored (not even real buttercream) icing made with shortening. You tasted more shortening than anything. The reason why bakeries do this is because it's cheaper and holds it's temperature better than buttercream, and also has a longer shelf life (think old cupcakes). Her cupcakes have no real taste, were dry, crumbly, and just unappealing. Every cupcake was the same base almost but different icing flavor. There was no real strawberry in the batter, nor the icing. How disappointing when he paid $3 a cupcake! They weren't even large for the size! Icing was stacked really high and nothing really memorable other than they were absolutely horrible. I'm a big, big foodie that has dined at some of the nicest restaurants and don't mind paying and supporting businesses that want to offer their customers the best and freshest ingredients. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY NOT ONE OF THEM!! Super cute does not count for taste and offering your customer the best ingredients especially when they are paying $3/cupcake. Kroger cupcakes pack more flavor than these! I was so shocked they won Cupcake Wars because if this is what they voted for, good Lord, people don't know how to bake these days!

The party was just spectacular for a 13th birthday! My daughter and her friends had a wonderful time and learned a bunch about baking and decorating. Thanks to Mamie for her patient hostessing. Her cakes and cupcakes are some of the best ever!!!! YUM!

Though the cupcakes looked beautiful, they were dry, really dry cake. The frostings were tasteless. We ordered 6 different types of cupcakes and they did not fill the order correctly (two of the cupcakes were the same, therefore one was not filled). Miss Mamie came out while were were waiting for our order to be brought out and just looked at us, turned away and walked to the back without acknowledging us. I had even smiled at her, expecting that she was going to say hello. No Southern friendliness or charm there. The young man at the counter, though, was wonderful. And, that's the only good thing that I can say about Miss Mamie's.

I made a special trip to the Marietta Square just to stop by Miss Mamie's. I had never had a cupcake from there, I had only seen the cute little shop in passing and I knew that I would have to come back and check it out. I am glad that I did. It seems like cupcakeries are a dime a dozen here in Atlanta, so I didn't really have high expectations. But I think that Miss Mamie's is going to do well. The cupcakes were all laid out on cute little stands behind the glass instead of kept in a glass cooler like some of the other shops. There were so many to choose from, but I chose the Margarita cupcake. Instead of eating the icing first, I went straight for the cake and it was so moist and yummy. And it closely resembles the taste of a Margarita...a little salty...a little sweet! I wasn't much of a fan of the icing, but maybe it's because it was a lot on there. But I'll definitely visit again to try some of the other flavors like Guiness!

Wanted something sweet after having dinner in the square, so we dropped on in, and I'm glad we did! As you would expect from a cupcake and pastries place, it's got a very cute aesthetic. From the signs and plants outside, the clean counters, and lots of natural light-- it has a good unifying theme. Seating isn't the largest, but I think it serves the purpose here. You're probably not going to have a crowd of multiple large parties. We came in a little before closing time, so it was just two small families with kids. For my first taste, I went with the Banana Pudding Tart, which the kind gentleman behind the counter explained was more of a pie. He was right, not much tartness to it but a light creamy texture, genuine banana taste, good crust, and perfect amount of sweetness. My girlfriend got the berries tart, and I enjoyed that one as well. I was impressed that these two similar pastries tasted pretty different from one another. Hers definitely had some tart thanks to the berries, but it was still sweet and easy to eat. I would definitely come back here to sample their cupcakes. I saw a nice assortment of flavors that were calling to my inner fat kid with a sweet tooth!

I ordered my daughter's 1st birthday cake and it was a hit at the party! Everyone raved about the taste of cake (strawberry shortcake). The cake design was also well made...colorful and fun. Thank you Miss Mamie's!

I'm in cupcake heaven. Lemon coconut flavored cupcake heaven. I've tried to go to this shop many times, unfortunately, I have poor timing & haven't made it when they're open until today. Adorable little space on the square, beautiful selection of designer flavors & the classics. Cookies, tarts & cheesecake, too. This lemon coconut cupcake tastes like a shortbread cookie in cupcake form, the lemon curd is tart & sweet as it should be & the cream cheese icing isn't overly sweet. The toasted coconut & candied lemon on top show the attention to every detail they've put into making amazing cupcakes. My only complaint is thier hours... I wish they were open more!

Lunchtime treat w my daughter. So fun and delicious. Now they have Raspberry Pomegranate tarts too. Can't wait to try this one. Such a great place to stop for desserts, tea and/or coffee. Oh yeah, they also have really good chocolate chip cookies and IF you're lucky you may catch them when their coming out of the oven. I love that they serve everything on mismatched chinaware because it makes me feel like I'm having a "totally chill" tea party in the middle of the day and that's just the way I roll, ya know? Lol. Is every flavor of my favorite?? well, of course not but there's bound to be a flavor that everybody likes behind the glass. Go to Mamie's if you haven't already! Seriously.

This was the second time I got a cake from this bakery. And it was nothing short of a charm even the second time. The combination of flavors that you can get at Miss Mamie's, I am sure you cant get that anywhere else. Coconut cream with lemon preserve in between layers and candied lemons on top, it just cant get better than that. last time I ordered the Sweet potato with Caramel and it was just delicious. My guests couldn't get enough of it. And its not just about cakes. Their brownie is just too scrumptious, not too hard and not overly moist with just a hint of bitterness to balance the sweetness and of course when you are there you have to try their myriad flavors of cupcakes. Without a doubt I'll be getting my next cake from this bakery.

I learned about Miss Mamie's via some ATL Yelp Buds. They had a YEE here so I had this place bookmarked for a VERY LONG TIME until I was able to get back and check this place out! It's located in one of my FAV hang outs Marietta Square and they WON Cupcakes Wars. You know that show, where peeps battle to create ZZZ-BEST cupcake? So here is the skinny. They have both jumbo, regular, and mini size CC's. The regular CC's are $3.00 each or you can buy 5 and get one FREE making them $2.50 each which isn't bad. The mini CC's ONLY come in a dozen, made to order and you can get up to 12 different flavors, but you pick up to two fir your order. The mother of all CC's are the JUMBOS and they are $10 made to order so you can pick your flavor. They also do regular or the FANCY-SMANCY design whatever you want CUSTOM cakes that are all the rage these days. The service was GREAT! And the shop is REALLY CUTESY, and has NICE clean lines. LOVE the cake plates that the CC's sit to display the CC's on different levels. It's better than just have them in a display case like some places. Since I was with my cuz we decided to get a few and share them so we would NOT seem like HUGE PIGGIES. Plus I was trying NOT to OVER DO IT since I had just had surgery on my foot which means working out has been put on hiatus for a while. So I need to REALLY WATCH what I eat and I don't mean the SEE-FOOD DIET that I am usually on. Hahaha! Now I am NOT a fan of icing because it usually TOO SWEET and there is TOO MUCH of it so I asked if they had any in the back WITHOUT icing and they had some. There were a few I wanted to try that didn't start, end, translate to, mean or comprise the word CHOCOLATE and they have some different CC's like Sweet potato (must be a southern thing). And it is FAN-TAB-ULOUS! Taste just like sweet potato pie but WITHOUT the crust. I'm NOT sure what the icing for this was but IT WAS GREAT WITHOUT the icing and NOT OVERLY sweet and SUPER MOIST. It's the HOLI-DOLIES so we had to get my FAV Pumpkin. VERY DELISH and MOIST. We also got the recommended CC which is the Guinness. I know that is a beer so I wasn't going to try it but my cuz and the lady said it was one of the most popular CC's so we went for it and prayed it didn't taste like beer which I DON'T care for. It was REALLY GOOD! I don't know what Guinness normally taste like but this was ON POINT and DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I'm NOT even sure WHAT I could compare the taste too. YUMMERS! We also tries the strawberry and got the yellow for FREE! Both were SUPER DELISH and NOT overly lemony or strawberry but you could DEFINITELY TASTE the difference in the flavors and knew what there were! SUPER YUMMY DELISH and NOT OVERLY SWEET but that is probably because we didn't get any with icing. CC should be about the cake NOT just the icing and most places don't seem to UNDERSTAND this part. They make the icing so sweet I feel like I'm going into a diabetic coma from all the sugar. Icing should complement the CAKE NOT OVERPOWER it! Anywho everything was DELISH and I will be back!

(5)Shelli W.

(4)Kris P.

The cupcakes and cookies taste horrible.I ordered a soft cookie the cookie was hard as a rock and tasted like puke. My friend ordered a cupcake that tasted like mold! They are overpriced ! Do not waste your money here!
(1)Keith C.
Simply incredible. Amazing cupcakes. Great quality and flavor. I have had multiple flavored and eaten here quite a few times. All flavored have been great and each time, the quality has been fantastic.
(5)Nida L.
(4)Ryan M.
The owner was rude, messed up my order, no true assortment in my order, and the cupcakes... All 3 dozen were dry at least the icing was good! Waste of money! I will just order from Georgetown cupcakes going forward for the additional $20! If I could not give them a star I'd take this 1 star back.
(1)Karo R.

(5)Karie L.
(4)Will R.
I have only went once. I remember these cupcakes tasting very good, and the atmosphere of this place was nice.
(5)Lane M.
I had such high hopes, from hearing about them on cupcake wars. Unfortunately I was very disappointed, the cupcakes were very dry and gritty. The red velvet was a complete let down. Very nice appearance though.
(2)Tristan A.
Big fan
(5)Chelsea B.
Great place for a sugar fix! The inside is gorgeous with a beautiful display. The cupcakes and the workers are delightful as well; I always look forward to coming here.
(5)B D.
(5)Caitlin B.
(4)Lyle B.
(5)Annie L.
(5)Connie G.
(3)Brandon J.
(4)Cee R.
Cute little shop... Cupcakes are a little dry but not too bad. not worth $3.00 a cup cake, more like $1.00
(2)Fabian W.
Very nice. Very very nice. Guinness is by far my favorite.
(4)Robert A.
(4)Christy R.
(5)Tricia B.

(5)Lisa B.
Cupcakes!
(4)Jessica O.
Super cute location and decor, and the kids having a birthday party in the back looked like they were lovin' life. But, as others have said, the cupcakes were dry, which was a shame because the icing was delish.
(2)Catherine A.
home-girl is 23 yrs old....& killing it!
(4)Kristin K.
(3)Amy T.
(4)Beth M.
(4)Dawn B.
Great job!
(5)Herman W.
(5)Jenni L.

YUM! I was a little skeptical of the Guinness cupcake but let me tell you - it was DELISH! My boyfriend had the sweet potato cupcake and loved it. Cupcakes are also decorated really cute. I'll be back!

Had cupcakes there a few time! All of them have been delicious! Its a great place to meet a girlfriend to catch up or to stop at after a lunch date in or around the square! The best cupcake i had so far was the guinness!! You will leave happy!
