Not my kind of place, its too big dark and impersonal. Parking is really great. Lets just say I would not take anyone on a date to this place. Never ate hear Just drank some local brews until a friend and I were chased out of the place for calling the bartender a bigot....or faggot or something like rhat it was a while back... maybe I will poke my head back in to see if they remember me !!

If you are looking for a great bar to watch a game, a place that has yummy food, and great drinks... Then Mazzy's might be the answer if you find yourself in the Marietta, GA area. I've been here twice and each time has been a great experience. The decor is "sports-bar-esque" yet this place is a little nicer than your run of the mill sports bar. No nasty, sticky floors...no funky odor. Just a clean, well-kept sports bar with great service and might I add..the food is pretty good too. There is a little bit of everything on the menu ranging from cheeseburgers, to chicken fingers, steaks to salads, chicken sanwhiches to great appetizers plates. This place even has pasta dishes. The french fries are yummy! I suggest asking for some ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing for some dipp-age. And the buffalo chicken tenders are pretty damn tasty too. Large flat screen tvs, dart games, pool tables....& a great bar. Recommendations: Wine by the Glass is very good. Buffalo Chicken Tenders All in All: Seriously, A Great Little Neighborhood Sports Bar!

Once a month I transform into a rabid UFC fan. I like Mazzy's because they do a great job of hosting UFC pay-per-view fight nights. Good quality bar food and drinks. I'm a big fan of the buffalo wings and batter fried mushrooms. Good place to wave a chicken wing around and shout at one of the many TV screens. Plus, they have the volume turned up enough to actually hear the action.

Pretty good food but there prices are what makes them great

Great atmosphere for watching football. This is a great Iowa Alum bar location to watch the 2009 Outback Bowl. Affordable prices. Many HDTVs. Pool tables and darts. Looking for more Iowa Natives to review this bar, though.

I make it a habit to visit a different sports bar at least once a week, due to the fact that my life does somewhat revolve around watching sports while drinking beer. Mazzy's left a good impression on me after watching a Braves game there recently. Usually a sports bar always has some kind of funky odor from all of their customers living and dying with their teams while drinking beer and sweating a nervous storm; however, Mazzy's looked extremely clean on the inside, having no correlation with a typical sports bar appearance, with a dark polished oak bar and shiny stainless steel bar stools. The inside of the bar was also adorned with big screen plasma TVs ( a major plus for those avid sports bar enthusiasts and customers.) The food was typical sports bar food: Philly cheese steaks, chicken fingers, hamburgers, etc. But the quality of the food was an important separating quality for Mazzy's; because the preparation and quality, again, exceeded a typical sports bar and grille. So, despite the Braves losing to America's favorite team, the Boston Red Sox, I had a pretty good experience at Mazzy's, and I plan on going back in the future.

I often go to Mazzys to get a drink and possibly a bite to eat. The staff is always nice and attentive...and will probably know you by name, or drink, after only a few visits. As far as the food goes, it is what it is...bar food...with the exception of a few great items (cajun chicken pasta, lemon pepper-ranch wings (these are not on the menu but were suggested to me by a great bartender) and a few others that have slipped my mind). Drinks are made well...and priced very reasonably! They have two separate, very different, rooms. The front is a little darker and more geared for people who want to sit and have a meal or play darts; and the back is a large room filled with pool tables, high top tables and a second full bar which you can smoke in. What they do have in common are the great servers and all the large tvs for watching the game of your choice. Unlike most sports bars, especially the ones closest (Sidelines & Wild Wing), this place always looks clean. Overall, Mazzys is a fun place to go to unwind, have a drink and gang out with friends.

Strangeness! We went here to meet a couple pals that are into UFC (Ultimate Fighting). So mainly we watched so guys bloody themselves up on the ground on any one of the 30 TVs right there. Drinks were reasonably priced, although my friend and I ordered lemondrop shots - I braced myself for the vodka before slurping, but I never tasted it. Like plain lemonade! So I don't recommend that one. It's a really huge place with lots of tables and booths out front, and many pool tables and darts in the back area.

I have no problem admitting that I'm a regular here. My question to you, the reader of these reviews is how have you not tried Mazzy's yet? Looking for a sports bar to watch your favorite team? Try Mazzy's a place to have dinner with your kids? Try Mazzy's a place to play darts? Try Mazzy's a place to play pool? Try Mazzy's a place to smoke and drink with your friends? Try Mazzy's Bottom line this is a great spot with excellent food, excellent drinks, and a fantastic staff which does their best to keep things running. Give Mazzy's a shot and my guess is that you'll be back.

Visited in a slow Tuesday--- food was awesome, drinks were perfect. The place smelled like a Buckhead bar at the end of the night after college kids ham rammed it with throw up and messes & feces. The service was not all the way amazing either, it was a Tuesday night, it was slow and the servers were ready to go home.

I live down the street from this place and although the food is good. I've never had good service at this location. The bartenders are always rude and the service is slow. I guess this is why people prefer to drive to the Kennesaw location.

We are still waiting after 50 minutes. First ten minutes They didnt even give us a menu. Our table is very dirty. When we ask about our food they said there was a large party which is a lie. Now we are leaving without food. Service is terrible

This was the worst dining experience I have had in several months. A friend and I were craving wings so we decided to give this place a shot. Our server took our order and we waited patiently. A friend of ours came in about 15 minutes later and ordered his food, which came out before ours. We then continued waiting until our friend finished his food. By this point we were sufficiently pissed. We spoke with a manager who presented the food. As he was putting it down he said it was only in the system 30 minutes. Now I'm not sure how long it took her to put it in the system, but it was certainly longer than 45 mins. I've also worked in food service before. If your food takes longer than 20 minutes you're not doing something right. We won't be back.

I am newer to the area and am scouting places for football season. Prior to Mazzy's I had found one good place, but I like to mix it up and Mazzy's seems to be a sure thing. Great variety on the menu, low prices, and plenty of tvs. I plan on watching a few games from there this season!

I went there with Ricky R. and was the friend that came late and got my food first... I have never actually been to Mazzy's on a non-poker night (they host poker weekly) and the waitress's that work the games are awesome, and the management always treats us well; the way that my friends and I were treated by management was unacceptable this past weekend. I arrived at 6:15pm and my friends had nearly finished their beers and their food order had been placed at 6:00pm, but I decided to order anyway. I got my food at 6:30pm: my friends still only had their one beer. 7:00pm rolls around and I am finished with my meal, so my friends decided to try and pay for his beer and leave. It had been an hour and we were all on a time schedule, trying to get a meal in before 7:00pm. As we were trying to pay and leave the 'manager' comes over and starts off with: ***enter 'manager'*** 'Manager' - "Just so you guys know, I checked the ticket and it has only been thirty minutes." Us - "It has been more than an hour, we just want to pay for what we have had so far and leave.." 'Manager' - "It has only been thirty minutes and I have your food right here: what do you want to do?" Us - "Pay for what we have had so far and leave, we are on a schedule, and it has been an hour." 'Manager' - "It has only been thirty minutes, but no worries, I'll use this food to feed my kids tonight." ***exit 'manager'*** Really? You have to make a comment like that after you insult us? Beers are all cashed out (and I even left a tip for the waitress because she was nice and kept my sweet tea refilled) and as we were IN OUR CARS LEAVING, the 'manager' comes running out with some other guy: ***enter 'manager' and other guy*** 'Manager' - "You guys didn't pay for everything, you can't leave!" Us - "Yes, we did...it's on the table..." 'Manager' - "Stay with them and don't let them leave until I check the table." (he says to the other guy that works at Mazzy's) ..... 'Manager' - Comes back out and says: "Bye." ****exit 'manager' and other guy*** Like I said, I have been to Mazzy's many times and the waitress's that work there know customer service: this 'manager' does not.

Great place to watch games, drink, and have good time with friends. I love the cheese fries here. Servers are friendly and great. Best part is can smoke inside yet it doesn't smell at all. Love this place!

  • Dane R.

Great for watching the game! Awesome selection of beer. I think there were at least 20 draft beer choices, maybe 30. Service from the first waitress was prompt and friendly. When she left, she brought over and introduced the waitress that would "take care of you" for the rest of the night. Ha! Never saw her for the next half hour. At that point, I asked if she forgot about us and she acted as if she had no idea what I was talking about! Said that she COULD take care of us if we wanted. After serving one drink, she was scarce. Despite the issue with the waitress, I'll go back. Although I didn't try it, those around me claimed the food was excellent.

This review is strictly for the restaurant side bar, as I didnt go over to the other side. Came in to watch some playoff basketball and sat on the side of the bar closest to the restaurant. There were maybe a total of 10 people, myself and my friends included, for one bartender. It took him a while to get to us. But, when he did, he was friendly. However, he was the absolute slowest bartender I have ever had anywhere. He paid most of his attention to the 2 bottle blondes sitting on the other side of the bar that where downing white zinf like they it was their job. 15 minutes after ordering, I pretty much said out loud, 'I guess I have to have tits in order to get service'. The beer I ordered came about another 5 minutes after that. I ordered the shrimp and grits plus hot wings. I asked for side of their hottesdt sauce, which is diablo. It's hot! I mean, it's not burn your face off hot but, it's perfect for wings when you want some heat. So, well done there. The wings were also crispy and a decent size. Overall, the wings are top notch. They serve it with ranch which, in my opinion is a crime against hot wings but, they do offer blue cheese as well. While we were there a couple bellied up tot he bar and had a good wait to get service, too. That coupled along with the fact that my check, credit card and empty beer glass sat on the edge of the bar for another 10 minutes (the bartender walked by and looked at it a couple times) proves to me that I wasnt imagining the slow service at the onset of the night. Overall, I give it 2 stars because...yeah, Ive had better but, I would go back. The beer selection was decent and so was the food. Very good prices for what you get. The only real problem I had was with the lighted tri-level booze shelf in the middle of the bar. I would like to see what's going on on the other side of the bar and not a bunch of booze bottles. But, that's just me.

Decent food and good beer specials. Typical bar atmosphere. Tons of TV's, so it's a great place to watch big games w/ friends. Fav app: bacon wrapped jalapeños- super tasty! Fave entree/app: Chicken Nachos. A ton of food! It even comes with it's own bowl of queso. It's enough for 2 people and a great price.

Just move to this area close to Mazzy's. We've ordered food for pickup twice and have eaten inside once in the 3 weeks we've been here. Reasonably priced and excellent service. Large variety of food choices and so far everything we tried is so good. My daughter and I love the wings! My six-year-old is a fan of their burgers. My very picky 13-year-old loves the shrimp pasta. Husband always tries something new but has liked everything he tried. It is also a bar but during normal restaurant hours it is very family friendly. We plan to be regulars there :-)

Wasn't impressed. As far as sports bars go and the area I prefer The Wing down the road. Price is better here but the service was below average. I hate doing bad reviews. I wouldn't say this place is bad I just wish I spent my time somewhere else. Maybe it was an off day? Sorry!

IMHO, this is the best local bar in Marietta! Here's why: there's a game room in the back with pool and a bar (albeit smoking, boo), there's lots of seating in the non-smoking section that is surrounded by TVs of various sizes showing various games, and the drinks are cheap. The food is pretty decent for bar food (I'd suggest the covered potato tots, queso fundido, or the wings with extra celery), and the staff is always friendly (although their turnover rate seems pretty high, so we often get new waitresses). There's a relatively large bar and darts, too, and it seems they have poker or other activities on various evenings in a side room. Big bonus for us -- kitchen stays open late, until about 1am!

We wanted to try this place for the first time and we were really disappointed. We sat down, Sunday afternoon, pretty slow, and the first thing we saw was one of the waiters cussing a throwing a box into the lobby. He later brought us our menus and another girl brought us some waters. About five minutes later another girl tried to bring us water but realized we already had it. Cussing waiter from earlier was cleaning up spilled water on the floor and yelling loudly about how busy he was and how he didn't have time to clean that up. We waited for awhile, but none of those three people came back to take our food orders. They really just seemed like they didn't have their act together and it was really unpleasant to have the swearing/yelling guy working there. It pretty much killed any good vibe the restaurant could have had, so we left.

Let's set the stage here. I only go there during football season to meet up with friend. The food is just good and the beer is cold. What more can a guy ask for. The servers are very friendly and I have always got excellent service. I like the place and it is a great sports bar in East Cobb. Between myself and my 2 friends we had 3 pitchers of Amber Bock, some Chicken Wings and some special egg rolls.

A large sports grill with lots of seating. There's a few areas to hang out in - dining area, darts, a whole separate room with smoking that has the pool tables. It's pretty nice, wide open, good selection in the bar. I'd recommend you at least check it out. Food is decent. and not too expensive.

I have been going to Mazzy's on Roswell Rd on an occasional basis for over ten years. It is a great place meet up with a friend and shoot pool, have a meal, a beer, or watch a game on the big screen. If you are a pool shooter: The dozen or so 8 foot tables are fairly well maintained, level, and decently spaced with no obstructions. The pool tables are separated from the rest of the bar area by a 4 ft barrier wall, which serves nicely to keep other patrons from interfering with the players. Free pool with a lunch purchase. The food is much better than "bar fare", good enough that it is the primary reason that I drop by these days. I happen to be a fan of their burgers and fries, particularly the Mushroom & Swiss burger. I find myself comparing burgers bought anywhere else to theirs, and usually the others come up short. My companions order many other menu items, I have never heard a complaint from them. The service can be spotty, depending on the particular server and how busy it is. Having to chase down utensils, or salt & pepper, etc can be irritating. This is a smoking establishment. When it is not busy, it is not a problem for most non-smokers. When it is busy (late at night), those sensitive to smoke will not be happy. Parking is excellent and the restrooms are very clean.

My favorite place for lunch! Great food at great prices and service to match! Free billiards during lunch...IF you eat! I've come several times at night. Fairly busy sports bar. Food, drinks and servo still good, though.

I don't drink much in the OTP, but after a dinner in Marietta, this was the next stop along the way. Open late, til 2AM, I believe, the parking lot was packed around 10:30pm on a weeknight (CRAZY). It's very laid back inside, with a central bar with barstools as well as tables littered on either side. TV's all around for easy and convenient sports viewing. We sat down for a bit with one of our good friends who lives less than a mile from the bar. He's a regular here, so all the bartenders recognized him. He didn't need to get carded ("Oh, I know your ID, I don't need to see it") but my dinner companion and I were still carded. We ordered some cheap house cocktails while my friend ordered a draft beer. There are quite a few beers on draft for cheap, although none I prefer. I'm a craft beer girl, myself. After spying the full bar, I ordered a Mai Tai for $5.45 (unheard of!) Even after a full meal less than an hour before arriving at Mazzy's, we talked ourselves into ordering a basket of fries ($2.95) and proceeded to devour the basket quickly. The fries aren't anything special but omg they were good when drenched in ketchup. It really hit the spot. If I'm ever in the area and need a place to get a cheap drink or bite, I'm definitely stopping by here again.

First time going here. I wanted a late night meal and went there about 1am. Wait was long but I enjoyed some darts for $1 as I waited. I ordered wings and they were ok. Seems like it's a nice sports bar.

I came here with friends on a Friday evening, with several of my friends, and was surprised to find the place not terribly busy. I'm not entirely sure why this was the case, because my overall impression of Mazzy's was pretty good, but whatever, I don't mind knowing places where I can go at on a Friday night that's not going be packed and have massive waits. Mazzy's is a pretty easy place to get to, as it's right off of Roswell Road, and there's plenty of parking. Oddly, the parking lot was full of way more cars than there were people inside, but usually that just makes me think that lots of people meet up here. Upon entering, Mazzy's is dimly lit, but it's still clean and well organized. The place breathes well, and the tables aren't crammed in, so even when the place is ostensibly busy, it still seems like a comfortable place to dine at. Naturally, being a sports bar, there are large televisions everywhere, and the baseball fan in me was thankful to see that they actually bothered to have a few on MLB Network, so I could see some playoff highlights instead of having awkward conversations with my friends. Service was quick and friendly, and I had no problems with them throughout the evening. They were quick and courteous enough to save us a few bucks by suggesting pitchers as opposed to the drinkers in our party getting their own pints of beer, which is always welcome. The menu is fairly expansive, and has a wide variety of options from the typical bar-food things like wings and nachos, to some lesser-seen entrees like stroganoff. I have this tendency to gauge places by the quality of their club sandwiches for some odd reason, so that's the route I went. Needless to say, I wasn't disappointed, and as is often the case with Atlanta eateries, I was delighted that they offered tater tots. Furthermore, the general prices of food and booze aren't unreasonable at all. Overall, I liked Mazzy's a lot. If I lived in the area, I could easily see this place as the kind of regular hangout, where I could watch sports, eat unhealthy bar food and drink booze.

I'm updating my review since I have visited several more times since my original review and based on my recent visits I think this is a really great sports bar. The best thing about it is the layout and quality of the viewing screens. They also turn on the sound for the games. For major events like NFL playoffs and so forth you'll get a really good crowd here who gets into the game with clapping and cheering, so it's a great atmosphere for sports fans. The food is really decent and they have a good selection. There are options for people who want something that isn't a calorie bomb. I really like their platters that are served with wild rice and steamed vegetables. The bourbon chicken is a specialty and is excellent, with a very tasty sauce. The grilled chicken platter is also really good, with a flame broiled 7 oz chicken breast served on top of wild rice with vegetables. You can add a salad for only $1.99, and the salad is a pretty decent side. The beer selection is not large but it's decent, and the prices on the drafts are below average. One warning is that the appetizers are really large. If you come by yourself and order chips and salsa, you'll get a huge plate of chips. They're really designed for two people. The price to value ratio is really high here. I really recommend coming here if you want to watch a game while you enjoy a meal. If you're not a sports fan, well then it's OK to visit but you might want to go elsewhere.

I've been here several time on slow nights, and each time it seems to take about 15 minutes for a waitress to notice you. Besides that, the service and food are great. I recommend the pot roast.

4 or 5 stars for the sports viewing and friendly staff. 2 or 3 stars for the food and length of time it takes to get it. Mazzy's is the best sports bar in the area -- it's where my coworkers and I have been coming for years to watch sports during lunch. I can't tell you how many free lunches I've earned through Mazzy's Lunch Club cards (buy 6 lunches, get 7th free). A whole bunch. The food isn't great here, but it's reasonably priced, especially at lunch. The restaurant is starting to roll out new specials, which are different than the typical bar food they normally churn out. In fact, I was the first person *ever* to try out their new/experimental "Gyro Platter" ($6.95) last week. It was pretty good. They made a gyro wrap complete with gyro meat and Greek tzatziki sauce with a side of tots. OK, tater tots aren't traditionally served with gyros, but it works. It's hard to mess up tots and Mazzy's version is fine. I did try their Grouper Platter ($8.29) the week before last and it was awful. Two of us ordered this and the order came out wrong. Instead of grouper with steamed mixed vegetables over a bed of rice, we got no rice and a few shrimp instead. By the time I was able to notify our server about the mistake, we'd already finished our grouper and veggies. She brought us out plates of rice anyway. This was annoying, but wasn't a huge deal. What was terrible was the grouper itself. It was incredibly salty. So salty to the point of almost being inedible. Sports viewing is still top-notch here. They've been using the same HDTVs and HD projection screens for years now and the images still look bright and crisp. One thing I appreciate is oftentimes you can hear the audio from the TV feed. Most sports bars don't do this or the atmosphere is too loud to be able to hear the sound. Not at Mazzy's. The managers are also amenable to channel change requests. Mazzy's is a spacious and clean sports bar. The chairs aren't very comfortable and the place sometimes has a generic, uninviting feel to it, which is hard to put into words. My coworkers and I are always mystified how this place remains in business since it always seems like we're the only customers during lunch or happy hour (~6pm). We assume they get most of their business at night and on weekends.

Watched the Falcons' 2013 NFC Championship game here, and I've also been here on a handful of occasions in the past. The food is what you'd expect at a bar - edible, but not notable. They have reasonable beer specials. Our server this time was excellent; attentive, but not pushy. The negative: One of Sunday's managers, black Matt Ryan jersey and black beard, seemed to forget that we were the customers, and he was providing the service. Two of our party of 7 were late to the game. When those two hadn't showed up yet and another patron had been eye-balling our two extra seats (and complained about it to said manager), the manger told us to, "get them here, ok?" In hindsight, his attitude came off as unprofessional and condescending. Because of this, I'll try to avoid this place in the future.

One night my good buddy and I were looking to get trashed. We stumbled into Mazzy's. We were not disappointed. We were served by Sammie. With an "ie". Not with a "y". She did a total of 42 shots to my 20 beers. She has a corridor; a hug vortex. When people stand there, she gives free hugs. She invented the Popper burger and it is delicious. Being from Palm Beach Fl, she was well versed in really upbeat music with lots of audio tuning. I will be back often. Even though it's a 4 hour drive.

5 Stars for Sports Watching. They always have the sound up so you can hear the game!!! Awesome place to catch the UFC fights too. Pretty clean and no smoking in the man area. 3 Stars for Food. The food is bar food so it's okay for that. The fried Grouper Sandwich is damn good....just skip the bun. But I would suggest to pass on the Wings...not good at all.

decent place with decent food and friendly service. the pool area is separate from the dining area, which is nice, since it keeps smoke locked away in the back. there's something about it that isn't quite the same as the roswell location -- other than the fact that they aren't the same. har har. pool tables are spaced nicely apart, providing plenty of room to play. could use a little maintenance since the pocket leather is worn out and sometimes the ball will fall out of the pockets. however, it's still plenty nice...

80's flashback at Mazzy's. It's smokey, pool, darts, juke box and projection screens abound. The food will surprise, the staff is good, and overall it's not a bad spot.

I've come to Mazzy's a handful of times on days that it hasn't been busy. Mostly days when I'm looking for some good wings during off season. Their lemon pepper wings and fries are really good. They're crunchy and well seasoned on the outside while still being moist and tender on the outside. They give you celery and a side of ranch or bleu cheese with them but we had to order the fries separate (which is normal at a sports bar). Their service isn't great but it isn't terrible either. They stopped by maybe 4 times. One to take our drink order, two to take our food order, three to drop off our food and drinks, then four to drop and take the check. I'm a low maintenance person when it comes to restaurant so it didn't bother me too much. They give you everything you need and leave you alone which is nice if you just want to eat and not be bothered. The service for me was fine, but if you like your server to be more attentive and amiable, you may have a different opinion. Overall the food was good and the service was decent so I'd come back another time but not in any hurry. -A

Mazzy's is a pretty good sports bar. I like that they have the big screen and, when asked, will turn the sound on the game. The food is average for a sports bar, and so are the drinks. The servers seem to be a bit scattered, but the management is very attentive. Once after a work Christmas party, coworkers and I went to Mazzy's and were given free shots by the manager. That was fun. However, it seems some people go there for a nice romantic outing because our arm wrestling match was interrupted by a girl who asked us to keep it down, she was trying to enjoy her lunch. Every etiquette book I've ever read clearly states that arm wrestling tournaments are completely okay in restaurants, so she needs to simmer down. Anyway, Mazzy's is great for groups to watch sporting events. Just don't go for the food.

Visited for St Patricks day and had a decent time with a friend. The main entrance is nice and roomy. We enjoyed playing pool in the back area but didn't realize how smoky it was until we brought it home with us. Willing to visit again to catch a bit to eat and watch a game in the front area.

Mazzy's is probably one of the best sports bars in Marietta. For me, There are 4 main reasons Food: the food is pretty good and it's really affordable. Most dishes are of average portions but they range around 6-9 dollars. It's just good bar comfort food. I'm a really big fan of the chicken parm. The fish tacos taste great. The Beef stroganoff is yummy. There are healthy choices too like the Hawaiian chicken and the chicken teriyaki, pork chops. Most of these options come with wild rice and grilled vegetables. They options for those not wanting to get heavier pasta dishes which compose of maybe a quarter of their menu. burgers are good and their all angus beef. They're worth trying. Most sandwiches come with their thick cut fries which are really good. There's a bit on their menu for everyone. Drinks: the alcohol is relatively inexpensive here. Most beers come in an extra tall glass and they range from 2-4 bucks. The same you would get charged maybe 5.50 at other bars like taco mac. However sometime I feel the drinks has more of a watered down taste. Not sure if that's just my perception because the drinks are always Ice cold and icy. The beer selection is good. Would say around 30 beers on tap and 30 in bottles. If you want to order a shot they come in a extra large shot glass. Haha very good deal. Services: there are maybe 15 TVs in this bar and there's usually a game you were searching for here. There are dart boards for your pleasure. Also in the back of the restaurant there is a large pool hall with 5 tables and projection screens. There are 3 projection screens in the whole restaurant. 2 in the front and one In The pool hall. There is a bar in the front and a bar in the pool hall. The waitresses are all nice and cute and the service I would say is inconsistent but can be very good. Atmosphere: this place has a great sports bar feel. It's usually a place I would gather some friends to watch the game of the week and eat and drink. Usually the bill will not hurt too much either. I wouldn't say it's a place to pick up girls. It's more of a friends and family place. I wouldn't say it's a date place either hah....but more of a place to have fun.

Mazzy's is my Cheers. I have been going to the Marietta location for about 6 or 7 years now. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. The drink prices are lower than any other bar I have been to, well anywhere. The food is good... You are not going to walk out of there saying the food is the best you've ever had.. but it is priced accordingly, very reasonable. It's clean and great to go watch sporting events because of all the big screens in the place. Very cool place to just go hang out.

I love their pot roast dinner. It is just perfect with mashed potatoes & gravy. I only change the veggie choice to broccoli. Staff is super friendly & helpful. I will go back often.

Cool bar if you want to watch a game I guess. Food here was not the worst but no one in our party could say anything about their orders besides "Average."

I really want to give this place a 4, but unfortunately their food is pretty much mediocre. Seems that most "Sports Bars" have pretty mediocre food and Mazzy's is no exception. Where we live, the sports bars range from terrible (Buffalo Wild Wings) to mediocre at best (Mazzy's & Taco Mac). Here's what Mazzy's has going for them. It's big and clean unlike most sports bars. There are plenty of TVs, booths, bar space, and then they have some nice add-ons such as pool tables, dart boards, and a rather large quasi-wrap around porch for al fresco dining. There aren't TVs outside, but they do have outdoor speakers, and besides that, the Metro area is severely lacking on outdoor dining. I've been to Mazzy's twice now, and both times, the place wasn't slammed. From what I noticed, they are a Tennessee Volunteers and NY Jets bar (neither of which were playing), and there was no UFC fight that Sat. late afternoon. I can imagine that it gets packed however, as it's probably one of the better sports bars in the area. Beer pricing is very reasonable. I had a pint of Sweetwater 420 for $3.49 or so and they are served in frosty tall mugs. And they actually put the price of most of their alcohol (except liquor) on the menu, which is great! For a late lunch I had the Grilled Chicken Sandwich with hot buffalo sauce ($0.50 up-charge) and substituted onion rings for french fries ($0.99 up-charge). I'd had the fries previously and they weren't very good, so I thought I'd try and get something tastier. Think of Kroger shoe string fries that you could make at home. The onion rings were hot, but kind of mediocre (batter wasn't too flavorful). I didn't care for the horseradish, mayo sauce that they came with either. Small mix-ups with the kitchen / wait staff occurred when our waitress initially brought the food, the kitchen staff hadn't put cheese on the sandwich (as the menu states) and they forgot to bring me a side of buffalo sauce (as requested). The waitress only noticed it once she arrived at our table prompting me to think that she's not very detail-oriented or otherwise she would have noticed when she picked it up at the window. But also, the kitchen staff made the mistake of not putting the cheese on there. Okay...so in the grand scheme of things, not a huge deal, but the little details of a dining experience do matter. My wife had the buffalo chicken tender platter, but the chicken tenders don't have much chicken, so it's not the most filling of meals. She enjoyed them, but again, there's almost more breading then chicken which is unfortunate because their buffalo sauce is pretty decent. Overall, pricing = great, food = mediocre, over ambiance = great. However, when we go out to dinner, it's primarily for the food and that's one aspect that Mazzy's has a ways to go. We might be back, b/c I loathe Taco Mac, but probably not anytime soon.

Nope, still a 3 star. Went again yesterday and got Buffalo Chicken Fingers and a drink. They don't have flavored Stoli, which was disappointing, and the fingers were a little skimpy. We sat outside - the weather was perfect, so that was a plus. Not saying I won't go back again, but I have the expectations that while the food won't be disgusting, it won't be any better than mediocre, either.

Really good drink specials, cheap food. Need i say more? The manage gave us one nasty cheese dip but was more than happy to get me something else. Fine by me! The rest of the food (burger and fries) was yummy!

I've known the owner for a little over three years now and I must say that he knows how to run a great place... However, I agree with others above that there are always guys in there that want to start fights (mostly in the back with the pool tables). The food is extremely well priced for what you get and the fact that it's still bar food. My favorite thing on the menu would have to be the Cajun Chicken Pasta. The staff there is usually pretty friendly and very professional. My best friend is the head bartendar there, so that never hurts, but in all I would have to say that it's a nice break of the normal sports dungeons...

I had been to Mazzy's a few years ago. The service was good. The Guinness was poured just right and the Jager was ice cold. That was 2008. To the present. I had the best time ever today, October, 14th. I thought the place was closed due to construction going on the parking lot. A nice and very eager staffer assured me they were open. Upon entering, I was greeted by no less than 3 people. The service and level of professionalism was outstanding; I "was" the only person in the restaurant but you would have never known. The prices are exceptionally low ; or shall I say in accordance with the economy of today. There is not a single item over $10.00 Do not worry; the portions are not small. If you have not had the opportunity to try Mazzy's; please DO !! Rush there/run there; the food and sevice is top quality. P.S. Save room for dessert.

I've only eaten here twice, but I've had a good experience each time. The food, service and ambiance are solid. Nothing spectacular, but I've always been happy with my meal. The best part of this place is the pricing of the menu. Pretty much everything is under $10. Also great to watch sports, provided there are plenty of screens to watch from.

Awesome place for an awesome price! The loaded Nachos are the best thing I've had so far. Even their Turkey burger is good, which are usually never good unless from either a high end restaurant or from the store seasoned and cooked yourself. The atmosphere is good, not too much like a bar but it still is one. The staff is always super nice and efficient no matter what time of day/night or how ever busy they are. I would recommend to anyone who wants a fast, cheap, and great meal!

For a 'sports bar' they actually have really good food. The have two seperate areas, the front is the main restaurant area with a bar, lots of TV's and no smoking here which is nice so you can eat without the smell. The back seperated by a hallway with closed doors in the pool room with about 10 pool tables, a big bar, plenty of TVs and smoking is allowed here. They have a party room equipped with its own pool table and secluded by glass doors that you can reserve for parties. All around a great place. Not sure why others are posting about people wanting to fight in the pool room. I have been going to this bar on a regular basis for years and have never seen the sort. I am not saying it doesn't happen, these are the risks at any bar establishment really where some people over drink, I just never seen it here.

Great place to have wings and watch the game or UFC fights. There is a cover charge when a UFC fight is being showed. Lots of TV. Also a great spot for Sunday Football. Great value.

  • Blake B.

You lookin' for a fight? There are almost always dudes here who'll fight. Open later than most of the other places in the local Marietta area, there's a decent smudge of high school duders hanging around here with their pool sticks and their big cars with subwoofers, ready to take it to the parking lot. Not that it's scary here. It's a sports bar. It's kind of huge. They have a whole wing of dart boards where you can go head to head and drink up on a beer. There have TV screens everywhere so you make sure you see all of your games at once. I like to have 17 American games all broadcast to me at the same time so if there's any minute where I start to get bored when ol' Joe Montana is done chuckin' the pigskin, then I can turn and see good old Orel Hershiser burnin' a slider right across the plate. I want to watch the Steelers and the Bruins and the Sox and the Colts and the Packers and the Cubs all at once. More sports! The main bar room is kind of swanky seeming, or could be, with dim lights and very clean, but no one ever seems to be hanging out in that section. Most of the action is in the back where the pool tables are. They have a lot of tables and usually it's pretty jumpin' after 10. Do you like to shoot billiards? You can shoot billiards here.

I would like to state for the record , that I as a rule hate sports, bars full of sports fans and crowds of guys in sports related paraphernalia. With that said, I will also say I really do like this place. It is in fact a sports bar brimming with dudes decked out to support their favorite televised competition of choice. What I think makes it not only tolerable but a destination of choice is that it is run well. The space is very large and well utilized. Even when it is packed , I don't feel crammed in. There are televisions in every nook and cranny, allowing a good view from nearly every seat in the house. The staff is polite and attentive. All of the waitresses are young and cute, which is exactly what sports duders love. What brings me back , besides the boyfriend's love of UFC, is the food. I have thoroughly enjoyed everything I've tried. The wings are fuggin great. Big and crispy. And oh so good with tots! The chef specials are surprisingly well portioned and priced. They offer a lot of choices besides the usual pub grub. Even the salad dressings are plate lickin good. I like it. It's not a bad place to watch sweaty half naked men beat the tar out of each other while enjoying a bite to eat and a beverage.

Mazzy's is a fun late night spot to grab a drink. They also have a large dining room, but I've never visited for a meal. The bar in the front room is lit up and classy looking, surrounded by a dark dining room with large booths. There are quite a few dart boards off to the side and there's usually room to play. The back room, where I usually end up, it more like a pool hall - well lit with lots of tables and a separate bar. There's table service back here as well, but often you'd be better off going to the bar, as it can be a bit slow - I don't think they have many waitresses to deal with the often crowded spot. The drinks are good and the price is usually decent. The place is crowded with 20-and-30-somethings enjoying the evening. It's a good place to watch a big game, because though the TV's are small, there are lots of them around the room. The only gripe I have - as with many bars with pool tables, it that there are so many tables shoved in here that often you have to adjust your seating to accommodate the players. As far as bars in the Marietta area go, this one is a good one to choose.

This building has been so many different things over the years. I hope Mazzy's is here to stay. Nice that there's something for everyone. The front area has a bar in the middle with booths on the right for dining and a more casual seating area on the left with an area for playing darts (find me here). The back room is more casual with plenty of pool tables. They allow smoking in the back so if you're not ok with that you should avoid it as it gets pretty smoky back there. The food is above average bar food. The main dining area is pretty nicely decorated. They even have private event room. Oh, and they have pretty good beer on draft too.

Not a bad neighborhood bar. The bar is kind of a funny layout, but it works well. The front area has a bar with a restaurant area that are fairly dimly lit and a well lit dart area. This area is mainly non smoking or never smoky that I've noticed. In the back is the pool room. It's good sized with nice 8 foot tables that are pretty well cared for. Beware though this area is loud and smoky. The food is above average for bar food, but not spectacular and on the weekends it's pretty busy.

Great place to eat food and watch a game. Bar tender could have used a little help but she still did a good job.

I've been here several time on slow nights, and each time it seems to take about 15 minutes for a waitress to notice you. Besides that, the service and food are great. I recommend the pot roast.

I will go back often.

decent place with decent food and friendly service. the pool area is separate from the dining area, which is nice, since it keeps smoke locked away in the back. there's something about it that isn't quite the same as the roswell location -- other than the fact that they aren't the same. har har. pool tables are spaced nicely apart, providing plenty of room to play. could use a little maintenance since the pocket leather is worn out and sometimes the ball will fall out of the pockets. however, it's still plenty nice...

80's flashback at Mazzy's. It's smokey, pool, darts, juke box and projection screens abound. The food will surprise, the staff is good, and overall it's not a bad spot.

  • Erin Q.

Great atmosphere for watching football. This is a great Iowa Alum bar location to watch the 2009 Outback Bowl. Affordable prices. Many HDTVs. Pool tables and darts. Looking for more Iowa Natives to review this bar, though.

I have attended many a major sports event at sports bars. Never have I been where the customers were so oblivious to what was going on as I was when I watched the Final 4 here. I will say, pretty darn good meatloaf sandwich.
