Me and the cuz ate here some time ago. Believe it or not, this was my first time ever eating at Cracker Barrel. They have some good food. Forgot what my cousin ordered but I had the catfish with grits along with some biscuits and hushpuppies. They give you quite a bit of food at a decent price. The servers do a good job in checking with you to make sure everything is okay. While I only had one meal, it was a good enough impression for me to return. I'll update the review after I've had more items on the menu.

I am from San Diego. I was in Atlanta so I THOUGHT I would get the best of the best from CB. NOT! Service: My iced tea was empty most of the meal and I couldn't get anyones attention. Food: I've eaten at several Cracker Barrels around the country...this was the worst. Corn Bread had a weird taste. Biscuit was extremely dry. Okra was ok, but cold. Staff: They were SUPER kind and friendly. This is what saved them from a single star.

This is my second time ever eating at a Cracker Barrel. I was in the mood for some pancakes and didn't want to hit up the normal spot that everyone runs to when they get the urge. Not too far from my house, so I gave it a shot. Food wise, nothing stood out from the normal diner looking food. I had some pancake special that had berries in them (came with eggs and bacon). My scrambled eggs were a little too soft, meaning the white parts were still kinda runny..and I don't dig that at all. The bacon was thick and crispy. Pancakes were good, on point. Came with some type of berry syrup. I would have preferred a normal maple syrup, but I didn't ask so thats my fault. Cool spot to bring your family for a down south traditional breakfast with no flare.

Obviously they are having help turnover problems again. Very slow non attentive service Out of dinner menus I hope the food comes as ordered Film At Eleven

Old time feel, melt in your mouth pancakes, thick country bacon, AND great customer service!!! My favorite breakfast spot by far! Never a disappointment. Only issue is parking cuz it's always packed... it's too good

I love Cracker Barrel in general & this one is our closest. We don't eat here often but when we do, we always have tasty food and very good service. This evening was no exception. We met friends for dinner and arrived right at 6 pm. We weren't sure if we'd be seated right away with it being a Saturday night but we were able to get a table immediately. The hostess was incredibly friendly & so was our waitress. Food was great & came out hot, timely & delicious. We will always return here when we're craving comfort food. Love looking around in the store afterward too!

I'm a southerner who currently lives in Chicago, so I don't get cracker barrel as much as I used to (it's a bit of a drive!) but when I'm on a road trip- cracker barrel is a MUST. eat the pancakes with a side of sugar ham. also the biscuits. or the corn muffins. so yummy with wonderful service.

I only come to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Specifically for pancakes which are really good. And relatively cheap compared to other places in Atlanta where for even more money you don't get eggs & bacon/sausage like you do at Cracker Barrel. Again...pancakes are great. The smoked sausage is just ok and nothing too special with the eggs. Food came out quickly after we placed our order. Service wasn't bad, but I felt as though the server was trying to get us seated, fed, and out the door. But she wasn't too pushy. This is my go-to breakfast spot on weekends when I don't feel like being bougie and going to a pricey place in Atlanta.

Well, what can I say...I love my occasional trip to the ole Cracker Barrel and whilst here in Atlanta on business several colleagues of mine and I went over to the local Barrel for lunch. Generally my experience is pretty good, this time...eh. We sat down immediately and were greeted by a lovely server as we waited for the #4 of our party to arrive. Once he arrived we ordered. I, of course, asked for a basket of biscuits and cornbread to come to the table prior to our orders. One of my colleagues decided against a salad and instead ordered the Buttermilk Oven Fried Chicken breast and was told that it would take about 20min...We were all fine with that. Another colleague ordered the Country fried Steak, and I along with #4 ordered the chicken pot pie. Now, my first instinct was...since my colleague's chicken will take 20 minutes, all of our food will come out at the same time- WRONG. All of the entree's came out except for hers. So, because we are gentlemen, we waited. First strike- bring out everyone's food together people...seriously??? Well, once her food arrived we dug in. NOW- I sure likes me some chicken pot pie and I was surely excited to dig in until I dug in. I swear a puff of smoke rose from the driest chicken pot pie on the planet. There was no sauce? Did I let it sit too long??? YIKES. So, I sent it back and ordered the country friend steak, which of course arrived nearly as my guests were finishing. They enjoyed their meals though colleague #4 noted that his pot pie was very dry, he proceeded to eat it. NOPE- not me, if the food isn't right it goes back. It's my hard earned money and sorry folks- but I want it right. All in all, the experience was ok. The server was attentive and the refills on the drinks just kept coming. I can't give it less than 3 stars because my friends did enjoy their food for the most part and most all of my visits have been better than this particular one when it comes to the food!

Dirty coffee cup Cold food Started out with one star but now they get one more star because the server handled the situation with the upmost professionalism and the manager came by to apologize. I still will not be able to return to this location ever again.

Food was consistent with typical chain. Great price. Warm/hot. Plentiful. Never been to this location before. Server was sweet and attentive. Maybe she had lots of tables, sometimes we had to use signals to.get her attention for more napkins and such. Demonica (Da-monica) Only complaint was cashier/manager Caucasian short guy was a little rude. Very dry personality. Little to no eye contact. Makes you almost not want to pay him. Why be up front if you're not friendly?

Great place to come early in the morning. They serve very good breakfast. At times, they are very busy but service has always been fast as they always take care of me. It's very convenient to get to from the Interstate 75 at exit number 261 which is the Delk Road exit. I never have a problem parking and they even have parking got recreational vehicles like most Cracker Barrels.

First time to Cracker Barrel in years because of previous bad experiences... but this one was amazing! Came on a very busy Sunday morning, but the waitress was on her game, attentive, and sweet as could be. Definitely making this a monthly visit!

So we are an hour early for a work-related meeting. What to do? What to do? Hey let's go make fun of country people at Cracker Barrel. Wow, was I wrong. What country people? It's been at least fifteen years since my lardy-self has graced one of these roadside attractions, and maybe it will be fifteen more, but the restaurant isn't why. If you've been to one Cracker Barrel, you've been to all of them, and by that I mean consistent in style and service. The food was never anything to write home about, but who writes home about anything anymore? We complain on the intArwebZ because we didn't like the server's hair-style. I fully expected to see Marietta's finest perusing the stereotypical menu, and what do I find? A bunch of hard-working dudes just like me, all looking for a consistent breakfast to fill our tummies. Yeah, the food isn't twelve-star Michelin, but if you expected all those stars, then you stopped on the wrong exit off of I-75. You are looking for Casa del Waffle (you know, the Latino one) and have expectations far superior to anything I can type about on this-here Yelpervision. Pancakes were good, gravy was better, but trust me when I say don't combine the two until the bathroom trip later on. It's for your own protection. Server was above par, and made some witty banter with us "city folks" which soured my quest for Deliverance. Alas, the hunt for stereotypical country people isn't in Marietta, Georgia, and it certainly isn't just off a major interstate.

Service was too bad. I guess when they swept the floor the broom straw and trash is stored under the table I was sitting at. One side of my peach topped pancakes were perfect the other said had a onion taste to it. I guess the grill wasn't cleaned or the spatula was used in onions. Waitress finally refilled my water after I was almost done eating. Small things they need to work on

Nice country breakfast. Now already come up with calories count on some of the breakfast menu. Nice breakfast as usual. Good experience for those who like the taste of real American country breakfast

Just visited Cracker Barrel and I asked Lavette twice to give me soft biscuts. She brought me hard biscuits and my corn was so cold. Pls managers help them improve with giving customers fresh biscuits. I always visit this place but I am so disappointed for my experience today. My trout was delicious but the corn, biscuits, and beans bad experience

Once again I came to this ghetto, unprofessional and horrible cracker barrel of all time! To go order pancakes greasy as a container of Cisco! Looked as tho someone took a piece of my ham ams the eggs weren't done over hard as I asked! The togo person is constantly asking for you to repeat your order because the workers are always yelling on the background...worst place ever! !!

To sum up my experience here during the second day of Snowmageddon...disappointing. Attentive service, but subpar food. Went with the Country Fried Breakfast: chicken fried steak, grits, biscuits, gravy, and hashbrown casserole; 1 bite in, I wished I hadn't. Unsure if the biscuits were stale, or the "heat & eat" variety, but they were crunchy on the outside and doughy on the inside. The hash casserole was somehow dry, and had hard bits all through it, as if they'd scraped the burnt edges from the sides of the pan. Grits were actually pretty decent, and the CFS, while extremely underseasoned, did the job. I stopped here because it was the only place open for 3 miles, and likely won't do so again.

Service was poor. I was with a group of people and we decided to go to Cracker Barrel. We sat down and ordered quickly. Server was friendly. We waited for a while and after our food came to the table the server brought out bread. One in our party did not get his meal until we were all done eating ours. We asked a couple times about his food and were told they were working on it. We were surprised the server charged him for his meal since he had them box it up to take it home (everyone else was all done and we were getting ready to leave by the time his food arrived). We flagged the manager down and he corrected the problem but if we hadn't, no one would have addressed the issue. The same individual did not get his drink refilled until we specifically asked. Really surprised by the service. As for the food, it was just okay.

Horrible experience. Won't be going to Cracker Barrel for a while. Greeting by our server was very delayed. Temperature and quality of food was very bad. My daughter couldn't even eat her breakfast due to the taste. I informed server everything was cold and gave back part of my meal because it was cold, and she "graciously" removed $1 from our bill. I paid for my meal and informed the manager about our experience and all he did was apologize. We also over heard another table complaining about cold food. This is the 2nd bad experience at this location. Very disappointing "customer service" has come to this.

I had never been to Cracker Barrel before, so I think my expectations were a little high. We went for a late breakfast one work day, although I was pleasantly surprised to see that the menu said they serve breakfast all day long -- gotta love that! The waitress was pleasant and made sure our drinks were always filled (coffee, please!!) but the food was just middle-of-the-road. The eggs didn't seem particularly fresh, the biscuit was passable but not delicious, and the casserole needed lots of ketchup. I've heard great things about their Sunday brunch and fried chicken, so I'll have to stop by again then and get the full experience. For now, it was A-OK.

I really like Cracker Barrel. After eating here, you're most likely gonna have your pants unbuttoned, a stomach that's intent on hanging out, and a full tummy for, perhaps, the rest of the day. Laziness may occur, as well. I'm always tempted to eat lunch/dinner in the morning, but I thought I'd stick with breakfast this time. I ordered pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, and grits. The pancakes were okay- nothing special. A little fluffy. You can't go wrong with pork sausage. I prefer the sausage patties, not the links. So it was a plus that they had the patties. The grits were GOOD, and not many people cook grits the right way. They were not watery but not molasses-thick either. Perfect. Buttery. Mmmm.. The biscuit tasted so processed and floury, it wasn't even funny. I did not finish it. That sweet tea.... my gosh. So sweet and made just right. I'd come back for sure. Just... not too often. That gut-busting feeling doesn't feel so hot. (big portions alert.) I know, I should have just saved the rest, but oh, well... *shrugs*

I know there's a lot of Cracker Barrel fans out there, but sometimes I scratch my head as to why because the food here is not very good. I'm guessing it's the charm of the "Old Country Store" and fond childhood memories. I ate lunch here over a year ago with my coworkers and had an unmemorable experience. I didn't bother to review it then. However, I recently revisited for dinner late at night (they close at 11pm) and finally decided to post a Yelp review. Cracker Barrel has an "Old Country Store" attached to each of its restaurants. These stores sell all sorts of vintage merchandise, toys, snacks, and various knickknacks. Outside on the porch, there are wooden rocking chairs, barrels, and games such as checkers. The store and the restaurant have an old fashioned Southern theme and are decorated with antique pictures and ornaments. At each table, there is a small golf tee game you can play. I'm not sure what the name of this game is, but the object is to jump each golf tee on the board until there is only one remaining. I think it's fun. I remember playing it as a kid. You can buy it in the country store. Cracker Barrel has two different menus, one for breakfast and one for lunch/dinner. They serve breakfast all day. You can find all the classic Southern staples on the menu. They actually offer quite a lot on the menu, even low carb options. I'm not going to go into much detail on the dishes I tried because everything was the same: not good. Some of the ingredients like the lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese in the salads are fresh, but very ordinary. This isn't something you couldn't make at home. The cooked vegetables and meats are comparable to those you'd find find in a can off the grocery store shelf. I know I had to force a few bites down and that's never a good thing, especially at a restaurant. Service is average. They sure do hire some country bumpkins to wait tables. You pay for your meal at the registers inside the country store.

OMG OMG OMG!!!! BEST PANCAKES EVER!!!! Cracker Barrel always seems like a hard place to get into. We always want to go Sunday morning (Yes, I know, horrible time) but that is always the time we seem to wait someone else to cook breakfast. But this time we were free to go on a Friday. No wait, seated right away and coffee came quickly. There are TONS of items to order on the menu and I have never had a bad meal at a Cracker Barrel. One of my old favorites that I always remember is the hashbrown casserole(?). Its cheesy hasbrowns basically but they are SO good! For breakfast I ordered a pancake platter (craving pancakes) and I have never had them at a Cracker Barrel before. Well let me tell you! BEST! And I mean BEST pancakes I have ever had! Too bad they're were only two/order. They were so light, fluffy, buttery, sweet, melt in your mouth delicious! Then you top it off with butter and their syrup that is warm and comes in a cute jar - crazy good! It's like a breakfast present for your mouth! I want some right now just typing this review. I recently made a review about a breakfast place in D.C. and ordered pancakes because I couldn't get Cracker Barrel's out of my mind, and I was so disappointed. They were yick and too expensive! Now I know why my first meal back home is going to be. ;) Sorry about the rave of their pancakes. Just order them ok and see for yourself. The other items in my breakfast platter consisted of cheesy eggs, bacon, sausage and ham and all tasty.

Once again I was waited on by a very good waitress, this time named Nicole;who did a great job, just like when I had her before. What was really amazing about this visit was a terrific host, Jasmine, that, after already blessing me through her friendliness & sweet conversation(while waiting for a table/it was 'rush hour'), she actually purchased my dinner!!! Imagine that - "paying it forward" and "doing unto others as you'd like done unto you". Definitely made my night! Absolutely terrific!!

It's always consistent, as is the food. It's basic Southern-style cooking, with no frills. It's a great go-to, also, when you want to eat breakfast for dinner. And most of the time at this location, the service is always good.

No matter what hour of the day the parking lot is 1/2 to 3/4 full. People flock to this place. We go to breakfast here ocasionally and always enjoy the good portions and tasty Southern style meals. On the road going up I-75 we always time our breaks for the Cracker Barrel, usually outside Lexington Kentucky. The staff is efficient and courteous.

Good meal. Kinda warm next to a window with the afternoon sun. The waiter didn't get the order exactly right for my wife. This us.the smallest cracker barrel I've seen.

It's not a trip to the South without a stop at Cracker Barrel. I had one afternoon to myself on a recent business trip, so I used my Yelp app to find the closest CB to where I was staying - this was it. By the time I got there, it was around 1pm, and the crowds were in full effect. Luckily, I didn't have to wait too long to be seated. The host seemed worried that I was being made to wait too long, but I wasn't in a hurry and I don't really consider 10 minutes at prime Sunday afternoon to be all that long to have to wait. CB's have a lot of traffic in and out, and a lot of that traffic is family/kid heavy. It didn't surprise me that there was a bit of spilled food under my table. Obviously, the couple that came in shortly after me weren't as cavalier about their surroundings as they both stood at the table, hands on hips, scowling because there were little dots of spilled food (possibly corn) under their table. Considering the fact that they were in jeans and sneakers, I don't really see what the drama was for. Nevertheless, they refused to take their seats until someone was sent to sweep all the offending crumbs away. Whew! Close call! Anyway, it never seems to matter what time of day I hit up CB, I always get breakfast. I was thisclose to not getting bfast when I changed my mind at the last minute and went for some blueberry pancakes with bacon. Pancakes were good, but I always like bacon that is thin and crispy .. I'm not a fan of thick bacon because it's always too tough. Staff here were awesome, IMO. From the hostess that takes names to the guy that worried I wasn't being seated quickly enough to the server that ensured I always had coffee and water. The food is standard CB fare. (Although, I think I'll go back to ordering something that comes with biscuits and gravy next time, because those are always satisfying.)

Cracker Barrel is pretty consistently good. Not great, but good. The other day though I ordered their pancakes and they were the best I have had. Yummy.

We were seated within 5 minutes at 12:00 on a Sunday. Need I say more? Our sever was really patient with us while we waited for a friend that was stuck in traffic for about 25 minutes. I had the country fried steak, scrambled eggs with cheese and the hash brown casserole. The steak was good - not great - but my meal was 8.99 so I'm not complaining. The casserole seemed to be cooked properly on one side and not on the other, but the cooked side was really yummy! My eggs had the perfect amount of cheese and were really delicious. Our friend had the French toast and said it was yummy. Overall, the service was really great and the food was mediocre in some areas and great in others. If we had a great breakfast joint in our area (like Thumbs Up) I would definitely pick that over here ... but alas, I have not found such joint.

I do love some good Southern food. Admittedly, I don't have a great benchmark as I don't have it as often. My bf ordered the chicken fried chicken. It came with three sides -- he got a loaded baked potato, mac & cheese and green beans. OH MY WORD. I'm normally not a fan of super creamy mac & cheese (I usually like the kind with shredded cheese baked on top) but that mac & cheese was divine. The chicken fried chicken was a juicy piece of chicken breast that was pounded flat. It went so well with the gravy, green beans and mac. I didn't try his baked potato, but I don't see how you can mess that up. I ordered the french toast with wheat bread and apples for the topping. The french toast itself... well, I'm guessing it would have been tastier with sourdough bread but I was *trying* to be healthier. It was a bit dry for me, but with the apples it was pretty delicious. I wasn't really a fan of the syrup it came with, though. I plan on trying some of their other breakfast items next :)

  • Lindsay D.

I've always enjoyed my meals here and service is decent, but it's so disappointing that it isn't prepared fresh. It's apple season right now, so they are perfect, but Cracker Barrel chooses to ruin them by slicing them earlier and storing them in lemon juice so they don't brown... What's hard about slicing an apple?! Really gross biting into An apple expecting a sweet crunch and getting a mouthful of lemon juice.

What can I say. I love Cracker Barrel and I love breakfast for dinner. Went to this location last weekend and ordered the Grandpa's Country Fried Breakfast. My goodness that was a big meal they brought out to us. It had everything on it; eggs, grits, gravy, country fried steak, hashbrown casserole and biscuits! I was planing on heading to Dave & Buster's afterwards but was too stuffed to really move and opted for a movie instead. The service at this location was great. We were seated right away and our server greeted us promptly. He made sure our drinks stayed filled and that we were satisfied the entire time we were there. This place is great and the food is great.

Delicious breakfast -- I ordered the Wholesome Mornin' Sampler, like I mentioned in the Check In I posted, and enjoyed it quite a bit.the yogurt and oats was the highlight, but the apple bran muffin was great, too. Beware: like many things at Cracker Barrel, it's much larger than you might first believe! The meal itself is $6.99, but that doesn't include a drink, so if you don't get water, expect to pay a little more. The service was good, though nothing extraordinary. Overall, a pleasant experience. I don't know If the meal I ordered was a seasonal thing or not, so you may want to stop in and try it soon!

This location is very crowded around lunch time. My co-workers and I went here to bid our manager farewell as he is leaving to work for another company. I was looking forward to some good ole' Southern eating and had a taste for some fried chicken. To my surprise, they only serve regular fried chicken on Sundays! Disappointed, I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken, which is the chicken equivalent of a country fried steak (fried chicken patty with gravy). It was okay. It was moderately spiced; it had a kick to it along with a hint of garlic powder. The breading was crunchy and the chicken was moist. The collard green side was rich with flavor and almost creamy due to the fact they had slow-cooked it so well. I would skip the mac & cheese next time because there was nothing special about it. Overall, it was a good Southern meal in Georgia. And of course, I ordered sweet tea to go with my meal. =)

To sum up: Good food, filling. Poor to average serving experience. While the hosts were polite enough, we were taken aback at our table by a server whom gave off a bit of the ''I don't care to be here'' attitude setting forth a ''The customer was wrong'' approach to a problem that occurred with my friend's order, rather than wanting and willing to fix it. Did not take careful/attentive notes of order and did not split check upon request. The first part is easy to understand with a large crowd, but we didn't really care for the ''well, you were wrong'' attitude that the server presented with it. Service could have been handled a bit better, but perhaps we caught that individual on a bad day, otherwise service was homely, welcoming! Nostalgic country atmosphere to enjoy. Clean restrooms.

Cracker Barrel is what it is...hokey, cheesy and with a fake country theme. And cheap! You can get a giant meal for under $10. I love that breakfast is available all day and I love a good turkey or fried chicken dinner (Mashed potatoes w/ lots of gravy, mac and cheese on the side....and the biscuits!). The people who come here are a little scary sometimes...but you can people-watch from the rocking chairs on their front porch. The employees' sign-off is "Have a bless-ed day"....apparently, the company has religious roots...not really a proponent of this so I try not to visit too often but good for the occasional gorge on artery-clogging food.

I know - I regularly blasts big box chain restaurants - but with good reason, they suck. Okay? Look. Many of them just plain flat out suck. They suck bad. Now I have a dilemma. The Cracker Barrel rocks. The Cracker Barrel has great food. But maybe that's not a bad thing. Especially considering that there aren't too many other restaurant chains that attempt the same cuisine. Sure, it's all a bit hokey, what with the rocking chairs outside and the whole down home country fakeness. Luckily, that doesn't take away from the food. Some of the items aren't as great as anything that's homemade (the green beans cooked in pork), but most of the items on the menu are more than decent - they're really good. Fried chicken. Mashed potatoes. Mac and Cheese (it's really good here). Pancakes. Nearly all of the main items will not disappoint. It's always the sides that could leave you wishing for something else. But that's okay - breakfast is never a problem. Breakfast at the Cracker Barrel is effortless. Well, effortless as long as you don't mind wandering around their huge gift shop/old time junk store while you're waiting 30 minutes to be seated. Once you're seated though, it's worry free. Unless you sit across from a table where an example of America's child obesity barely fits into a high chair, and then proceeds to vomit all over themself... only to be brought back for more by her mother who is obviously well read on proper etiquette in the same way she understands proper nutrition. (Okay, that only happened once - and it didn't stop me from eating.) Where was I? Oh yeah. Cracker Barrel. The best part is that they're almost always located on the outskirts of town, or at the very least, where the suburbs begin and the city ends - so it's almost like you're actually out in the country. (Well, okay, it's not really like that. There's no magical transportation.) I've eaten many breakfast and had too many great gatherings with friends and family at Cracker Barrel. They're prepared for large groups and they make it easy. So bring everyone. You're not going to have anything unique, you're not going to really remember the food. But you're also not going to worry about it - and you'll be more than fed. So yes... if even I can find something good about a big box chain restaurant - every once in a while.

I always eat well here.. The breakfast is great I get the blueberry pancakes and eggs, they serve it with real maple syrup a big plus. If you go on Sunday be sure and order the special Sunday chicken, its 2 nice size boneless breasts fried to perfection, man is it good. There is normaly a wait and the service is a bit on the slow side, but you can shop and play that peg game while you wait..

This place is responsible for one of the more hilarious moments of my life. Went here in the year 2001 after a NYE trip to Disney World in Orlando, on the way back up to Chicago, a few hours into a 23 hour drive. Stopped in with a group of 5, sat down. Waitress comes to our table, takes our order, and goes to get our drinks. We wait 15 minutes, no drinks, a different waitress comes to our table with our drinks in hand. She states, "I'm sorry guys, I'm going to have to take your order again, the waitress who took your order has just been fired". Hilarious! The food was good I guess. It's Cracker Barrel after all.

This is the first time I ate at a Cracker Barrel and I really enjoyed the experience. Like some others who have reviewed Cracker Barrel, I did hear the locals talk about certain stories that were pretty funny. The food is good to great. The fried okra was ok. I have had better which may just come down to if the okra was fresh or not.. Now like any place I go to I have to try the country fried steak. This was one of the more tasty country fried steaks I've had and the hashbrown casserole is just yummy. The mash potatoes are good and the saw mill gravy was tasty. Now the biscuits were very light and flaky, like my old cousin used to make and the cornbread is traditional southern cornbread, which is not too cakey like. The only thing they are missing are yams. If they had that I may have given them 5 stars. As for service our waitress was excellent and always made sure my sweet tea was always full. Now if only they had these on the west coast.

Tried to serve half my order and told me the rest would come later. I sent it back and told them to get it all ready at the same time. So I got cold food. Otherwise service was ok

I got dragged here by my husband who loves breakfast food and anything greasy or fried. I nearly had a heart attack just looking at the menu. I have to admit it was tasty but I won't be coming here again. Everyone in the restaurant was very very old or very very obese. We also got alot of stares. But I guess that's what happens when you go to a country style restaurant.

My review is pretty much in line with the other 3-star reviews here. Cracker Barrel is okay, some hits, some misses. The grits were bland, but the fried apples were tasty. The biscuits eaten plain were not as good as elsewhere, better when topped with the apple butter. The hash brown caserole was the best part! And I avoided all the breakfast meat, which was a standard part of most of the breakfast selections. I'd definitely prefer going more upscale (see reviews of Flying Biscuit locations and Artisan Bakery in Roswell). Service was friendly. Atmosphere is a little too noisy for me, seating is too crowded.

The food here IS great. The prices are absolutely amazing. You can completely stuff your face for only $6 or $7 or have a normal sized meal for $3 or $4. Their biscuits are the best things you'll ever have and they come with the best preserves. They are soft and hot and perfect. For breakfast, the sunrise sampler for instance is only $7 and you will get 2 eggs cooked to order, 2 biscuits, gravy, grits, hashbrown casserole (unbelievable), fried apples, a slice of thick delicious ham, a patty of american sausage, and a thick and crispy bacon. All of that for $7!! Amazing! Their pancakes are delicious, soft, and sweet. If you're not too hungry, you can have just cereal with fruit on it. For lunch/dinner, you're looking at some of the best comfort food known to man. Their chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes is amazing, their chicken n dumplings are amazing, the fried steak, the hamburgers, the vegetables, the corn, it'll all make your mouth water. The gift store is a great place to kill time if the restaurant is packed and you have to wait, which only happens during typical peak hours.

Got to try their country fried steak dinner with fried okra, collard greens and mashed potato. Split the entree with my boss and it was the perfect size for me. Everything was decently flavorful and my boss likes to come back when in the area. I love wandering around the front store though, so many little things to check out! Takes card. Always parking available. Service is usually pretty good.
