So I've been to quite a few Thai restaurants all over the States from California to Maine. Being exposed to that much diversity in Thai restaurants has allowed me to sift through the good, bad and awful. I must say that Lemongrass Thai Bistro falls into the latter: of the 20+ Thai restaurants that I've eaten at, this is definitely the worst Thai food. I ordered the Pad Si Eew Moo to go and it was ready in about 15 minutes for pickup. Quick enough right? Awesomeness! But that's where the compliments stop. According to the menu, the Pad Si Eew Moo contains: Broad noodles, broccoli, egg, tender pork, rich brown sauce. I found overly dried broad noodles, no eggs, big chunks of pork that weren't cut into smaller pieces, and no "rich" brown sauce. Whatever brown sauce was cooked in this mess had already dried into the noodles (this rich brown sauce tasted very reminiscent of your average soy sauce). Everything was very clumpy, dry, overly salty with no texture, flavor nor taste. Did I mention the food was really salty? I was passing the Macon area, but will never be stopping by here again. Panda Express tasted better than this; definitely do not recommend to anyone.

Zero stars: Bad service, bad food, poor atmosphere, and atrocious food. Roast duck is expensive, but must be done right. When it came out it was beyond dry. The one potential saving grace only condemned it more. The sauce was so sweet and salty it was worse than cheap Chinese take-out. The owner never came back with a drink menu and it took 10 minutes to pay with mostly empty dining area. Never coming here again. Waste of time and money. Had to go get something else to eat for dinner because the taste was so bad and not filling at all

Lauren my daughter wrote this review. We came here for her 10th birthday !! Lemon grass is awesome! I came here for the first time and it was great. For appetizers definitely get the dumplings. They are so good. My favorite main dish is the chicken pad Thai . It tastes so good. Come here if you want a great meal. They serve brunch lunch and dinner. Lemon grass is great.

I was a huge Ladda Thai fan and very frequent customer. Tom is such a wonderful chef. I was soooo bummed when they closed and moved their restaurant to Macon. However, we go to Lemongrass a lot now. I prefer to go when Tom is in the kitchen. He will come out and catch up with us and he will make the dishes Ladda style for me if I ask...now that is customer service!! This is a great restaurant. The staff is always so nice, friendly and solid. The food is wonderful. Our favorites are the spring rolls, summer rolls, pad thai, panang curry, pad prik, tom khai and of course the fried ice cream. They also bottle "Tom's Sauce" for you to use there and also to purchase a bottle to take home...which we always have one at home!

It is a cute, cozy little Thai Bistro that provides excellent Thai food. Its contemporary dinning area draws young crowds. Accompanied by their energetic presence, they influenced us memorized the Lemongrass' night as one of the best road trip dining experience. Although it is almost 5 hours driving distance, I would like to stop by Macon GA just to try this bistro again on my way to North. The bistro has an interesting menu. It combines traditional Thai dishes and fusion serves in regular and tapas size. We liked the idea of tapas and we ordered few regular dishes such as spring rolls, fresh rolls, satay, Tong Yum soup. The flavor and freshness of the food impressed us. Ingredients of these rolls are well balanced of meat and vegetable spiced up with Thai basil leaf. It is not compact so the flavor is like perfume flows freely in my mouth . I can taste and smell the food simultaneously. That is what a perfect product from a talented chef. The Tong Yum soup, however, is on the mild side for my taste. We prefer Thai hot and this one rate to slightly hotness. I guess it is a Georgia standard. We ordered a bottle of French white to go with the dinner, and its price was very reasonable quality wise. Nonetheless, this is one of the best Thai restaurant I had tried in USA. The restaurant is locate at downtown Macon and is not too far from I-75. When chance presents, I will go back to try other dishes and see how chef works his magic to keep me going back.

The food here is generally pretty good. I like the Thai fusion style of cooking and think this place does it pretty well--not stellar, but good. I really appreciate how their vegetarian options are clearly marked. There's a decent selection of veggie starters and salads, but zero vegetarian entrees. Guess they don't expect their vegetarian customers to be hungry enough for entrees? Weird. Hubby ordered the mussels in red curry sauce, which was one of their specials. It was literally a pound of mussels piled into a bowl with soupy sauce in the bottom. He didn't notice the sauce until he'd gotten to the very bottom of the pile. It was just straight mussels--no veg, rice, or anything else. Kind of an odd presentation, I thought. For dessert, we were offered an orange creme brulee. It turned out to be a regular creme brulee with a slice of candied orange on top. Kind of disappointing. I felt misled. ******************************** In response to the response from Lemongrass Thai Bistro: Neither I nor my dinner date could tell that the creme brulee was infused with orange liqueur. It tasted like regular creme brulee to both of us. Your menu is actually a little confusing about what's available for vegans. There's a green V at the end of the menu next to a statement that says "Make any Thai favorite vegan." I assumed that the green V stood for "Thai favorite." Since there are only a few items on the menu with that green V next to them, it seemed like those were the only items that could be made vegan.

There's nothing I wouldn't recommend from this restaurant. The pad Thai of course is a must try as well as their spring rolls and chicken satay. To die for. Just perfection. Order a cocktail if you can as well! Top notch.

Coming down from Atlanta, I had high expectations and they didn't let me down. Very authentic and the service was great also. Very small place and it fills up.

Stopped by for dinner on a Saturday afternoon. Cozy, trendy music selection, service was good but the staff was a bit noisy while chatting with one another. Curries were way too mild for my taste but flavorful; presentation was a bit sloppy. Chicken skewers were on large piece of chicken-on-stick with seasoning and did not look as expected, but were attractively presented. If you are here for cocktails and tapas, you will probably be satisfied. The bar was well-stocked if you prefer mixed drinks that entail flavored vodka (not my thing). They had three beers available, one local and two Rogue offerings, and two readily available single malt Scotch whiskys. Not bad; I would go again.

Reliably good thai food in a cute little nook on Cherry. Sake flight is a great bet if you want to taste more than one - Bride of Fox always comes out on top for me & you can follow the flight with a 5 (or so) ounce flute of your favorite! The tapas are also go-to menu items, never had one I didn't like, and the pork cigars are a favorite. The sushi is what I like to call "Maconized" and should therefore be avoided by anyone (like me) who is a sushi purist (see my review of Ninja sushi in Macon, another place where I experienced this phenomenon - it involves sushi adulteration of the worst kind in which either raw fish is contaminated with cream cheese and/or cooked fish is disguised as "sushi" - apparently Maconites don't like real sushi but they like to be seen as sushi-eaters, go figure, LOL). Cute outdoor seating on the sidewalk, great for watching the show that is Cherry street - always entertaining. Very attentive (sometimes overly attentive, but all good) service. Nice folks, good food, great sake!

I am an old Ladda Thai (Warner Robins) customer and so after waiting eons to drive up to Macon and try it, I finally tasted the hype. Though I didn't fall out my chair and roll off the curb (outdoor seating), I did enjoy my meal - great spring rolls, good pad thai, awesome Peach Martini. I may be biased because I have never had bad Thai, so this tasted the same. Yummo! I will be back.

This is a very good Thai restaurant located on Cherry Street. This wast first visit so we decided to try the Tapas servings which was a great choice.. The Summer Shrimp Basil Roll was very good as well as the Spring Rolls. The Kang Jeud Tao Hoo soup which was a clear soup with tofu, glass noodles, exotic mushrooms and scallions was excellent. You have to finish your meal off with the Thai Fried Ice Cream which is flash-fried creamy vanilla bean ice cream served with a fresh strawberry coulis. Will return to this restaurant the next time we visit with our family in Macon.

Thailand in a glass? Very strange combination of all the flavors you associate with thai food- kaffir lime, lemongrass, coconut, ginger and a little heat- sounds gross- but it's interesting. They have some creative mixed drinks for sure. So, we sat outside and enjoyed the joy of being in downtown macon(smirk). This is a cute place....love that they are open late, and that you can go and get a bunch of yummy appetizers for cheap. I wasn't that hungry, and my friend just wanted to get out of the house. I secretly suspected that he consented to Thai just to avoid my whole "how do you only eat american food?" routine, so I didn't get buck wild with the ordering...just drinks and apps...lemongrass has a lovely tapas menu with some yummy treats. my favorite was hands down the bamboo shoots. omg. so yummy! i wish they didn't give you so much meat, but i am likely to be the only one making that request. all in all, lemongrass isn't going to replace my favorite atlanta thai restaurant, but service was friendly, i love eating outside and my appetizers were tasty. drink menu is fun and sometimes, you just want to eat somewhere that has a little jazziness and isn't serving a meat and three. i would def go back and try an entree. oh wait...omg....fried ice cream. i so don't normally eat that... but at lemongrass...so delish. the battered outside part is delicate and yummy, the ice cream inside is rich and creamy, and the strawberry sauce.....i die. yay.

Sidewalk candlelit table for 1. Sad maybe, but pleasant surroundings in historic downtown Macon. Prompt service. Amazing crispy duck. Manager checked on me twice. A 6th sense for yelpers? Extensive cocktail list.

Ok, add a star if you dig the way a place looks more than you care about service and food. The appearance of the place is top-shelf. Add another star if you only want a trial-sized lunch instead of a true meal. I had the red curry, and it was okay. When I asked for it to be super-duper hot, the waiter said "I'll bring you some hot sauce." Wtf, mate? The Thai Iced Tea was tasty, and they take Amex, which is a plus. Overall, this place was a disappointment: I left hungry and underwhelmed, and parking at lunchtime was crazystupid hard to find. This place is not on my to-be-repeated list, which is a shame, because I love Thai. No, I take that back: I'll repeat this place if someone else buys, and when we're done, we can hit up a fast food spot for the rest of our lunch.

The food was fantastic. You can tell everything was made fresh. I was very impressed with the food and even the vegetarian options. Only complaint would be the place is a little small and they put egg on one of the vegetarian dishes we ordered. We will definitely be back!

Our experience started off fantastic. The staff was very kind and sociable, but not overbearing. The drinks were great - my favorite was the Thailand in a Glass, which was sweet with a zing. We ordered the mussels in a red curry for our app. It was wonderful, the red curry was great- I would have soaked it up with rice when the mussels were gone because it was really tasty. I assumed the rest of the curries would also be flavorful so I ordered a curry (forgot the name) with pork that was supposed to be really spicy. It came out and I literally thought I had gotten the wrong order because it just tasted like ginger and soy sauce - not a curry at all! It wasn't terrible, it was just not at all as the menu described it. My husband ordered the Tour of Thai and was not impressed at all. It came with several "thai favorites", none of which we enjoyed. The atmosphere, staff, and drinks may convince us to give it another try, but instead of ordering an entree we will probably just stick with apps and/or sushi because the table next to us ordered sushi and it looked good.

This was a solid option. Very trendy and cool for Macon, we were super-impressed. Gorgeous decor, good service. Pad Thai was a little sweet for our taste, but was fantastic balanced with the "hot tray" spice which is mandatory for a real Thai food experience. I'm not sure how it could have been better, yet I'm not sure why I'm not moved to give them 5 stars. They have a limited menu, but I respect them for it - they do it well.

Something about this food makes me happy. I am a creature of habit and so moving from one city to another is hard enough. New streets, new people, new house. But the worst is new favorite food. I left a Thai place in Savannah that I loved. Same order, all the time, just right. I have been to a few Thai places in Macon but this is THE ONE. If you like your pad thai (my favorite) spicy then this may not be your favorite dish but if you like it peanutty and a little sweet with awesome tofu then welcome to the party in my mouth. This place is very small and half bar (a plus in my opinion) so if you want to go for lunch you may have to wait a few but it's worth it. The vegetables are fresh, the food always looks perfect and the portions are that perfect size that is somewhere in between "I think I've had enough" and "I'm totally stuffed." I love it there, could eat there all the time, I just wish they would pick up the phone so I can get take-out for the long study nights! Try it out. Like it. If you don't then get up. I might be waiting for your table.

I stopped in with my fiancé for a bite on Saturday afternoon. We weren't terribly hungry so the Tapas option was perfect. It was the right amount of food for 2 and very reasonably priced. T he service was good and they were knowledgeable about the dishes. Generally I stay away from spicy foods, but this was a deserved exception! The chef's special hot sauce was excellent, and the different dishes had a wonderful array of varying heats. The Chicken Satay with peanut sauce was the best I have had in middle Ga, and the tiger shrimp were cooked to perfection. I liked all of the sauces! Well done Lemongrass- I wish you the best of luck.

I went to Lemongrass for lunch this week and loved it! I had the Pad Thai and a basil roll. The basil roll was fresh and delicious! The Pad Thai was also great, and I like that they give you the peanuts on the side. Service was just ok, had to ask for napkins and silverware twice, but they were friendly. The only drawback to this place is how small it is. Very cramped feeling with people sitting right on top of you. Definitley not the place to come if you want to have a private conversation. I hear the bar is also a hot spot in the evenings, so I will have to come back one night to check it out! Definitley coming back here, as the food was great!

The food and drinks were awesome here. The service was awesome and the decor of the place is very modern which is impressing to be in Macon. Just like everyone else said that the place could be a bit bigger. I definitely recommend eating at this place. I would hate this place too get too popular which means long waits but I think I will be willing to wait to eat here if that was the case.

Don't be afraid of this minimalist restaurant. The food is fantastic. Lots of authentic Asian recipes. Plenty of vegetarian-friendly dishes, too. Don't forget to try one of their cocktails. Nice place to stop if you are taking in a play at Theater Macon.

As a follow-up to my previous review. I haven't been back to Lemongrass again yet, but I would be happy to go now. The proprietor personally contacted me recently when he found out about my experience with undercooked food, which really impressed me. I've worked in enough kitchens in my younger years to know anyone can have a bad night, and I'm glad to know the owner cares enough to follow-up with a grumpy business traveler who could conceivably only be in town once or twice a year. Any reservations I might have still harbored are assuaged.

I'm a regular customer at Lemongrass for several reasons. Everyone loves to talk about their tapas and their drinks-which are great, but it seems people overlook their traditional dishes and Fusion foods. This is a pity, since they have the best Massaman Curry and Khao Soi I have found anywhere in the US since visiting from Thailand. In addition, their Americanized spin on Thai noodle bowl (a hot stone pot which is first lined with bacon, then filled with glass noodles, veggies, and meat) is brilliant, inventive, and delicious. Give them a try for dinner sometime, but be wary of the nights that Theatre Macon is running a show--it is right next door and the tiny kitchen at Lemongrass cannot sustain two dozen orders in the span of half an hour.

Great drinks and food. The cocktail list is innovative and interesting to an adventurous palette like mine. I had a simple salad to start and the red curry, and it left me full, with a happy mouth. I will definitely be back to try their other dishes. And I love the clean, modern ambiance of the restaurant.

I come here regularly on the weekend to spend time with my friends and enjoy the amazing tapas and drinks. I've yet to be disappointed by the food, and the drinks are some of the best I've ever had. It's noteworthy to point out that the drinks are a bit pricey, but terribly strong - the Nutty Squirrel is my favorite, but beware - you will not need more than 2 (I usually stop at 1). The inside is usually very clean, but I like the patio out front, especially when the weather's nice. They have two bathrooms that are much nicer than the surrounding bars. The service can be a bit slow sometimes (hence no fifth star), but that's just because they tend to get very crowded on the weekends. Michael Y. and Andrea both deserve shout-outs for being great servers. Really, my only gripe is that the place isn't bigger. They have a fantastic selection of top-shelf liquors that are hard to find at the surrounding bars, and since the place isn't dark and smoky, you can see them make your drink so you always know you get what you paid for (more than a handful of times I've watched bartenders at surrounding locations pour drinks using very cheap liquor when top-shelf was ordered). I love this place and always have a good experience.

Came back after a wedding at the hay house. Had some "dranks" place was packed. I guess i'll update my experience. Young, fun staff. Although was packed... the staff is good about crowd control. Did not try the food though. Maybe in the future.

While staying overnight in Macon we found our way to Lemongrass via a local at our hotel that was getting married that weekend......This restaurant was amazing!!! The food, the staff, the drinks...it was all perfect!! I tried the green papaya instead of the noodles on my dish and it was outstanding....Makes me want to drive back to GA for a great meal!

Lemongrass would be MARVELOUS if it added some kick to the red curry. Also, I ordered a mojito but if I had been blindfolded and told to guess what drink it was I would have said a kids sweetart flavored koi laid. It was so sugary and had maybe a food coloring drop's worth of alcohol. Don't even ask what they charge for those puppies. Save your money and hit up Thai pepper on russell in Warner Robins.

4-stars by local standards, not big city standards. That being said, food was very good. I didn't have the sushi because I was put off by the non-standard way it's presented on the menu...Sushi: $9. What is it? How many pieces?

Okay...this was my second time visiting Lemongrass. As before I enjoyed my dish. This time around there was a different crowd than before...the after hours crowd. I love the fact that the restaurant stays open later on the weekend (1am). And did I mention...my food was delish? :) The service was still a litte slow BUT I assme that each dish is being prepared as ordered. Either way...MY FOOD WAS DELISH!! As I mentioned in my first post, there isn't much to experience here in Macon. This place is really like a fresh breathe of air; it reminds me of one of the little Thai restaurants in Atlanta and NY. I will be back. :)

I believe in going to a new restaurant a few times before deciding if they are on my "it" list. The same rule does not however apply to established restaurants because they are just that...established. Having grown up in some of the best resorts and restaurants Scottsdale has to offer I know how things are run, or at least how they should be run. Tonight marks the fourth time that I have been to Lemongrass-A Thai Bistro. I have yet to be disappointed by their service or food. It has always been top notch. Tonight was the first time Lemongrass offered a happy hour. Of course I decided I HAD to check it out. With Jimmy Leg being out of town I called Terrell to accompany me. Upon entering I noticed that the first two HH patrons were both wildly attractive and hip (ok, they were me and Sweet T). Being the first to arrive, we delighted in the fact that WE busted their Happy Hour cherry. It was still early in the afternoon as their Happy Hour is only from 4-5pm, which had to be the reason for the small numbers. Wine and martini specials were to be had and some oh so tasty Tod Man Gai to snack upon. Sadly though, their signature Thai in a Glass was not a drink special. That however did not stop us from ordering one (or make that 2). Once people ended their workday, sure enough, the restaurant filled as the evening progressed. While sipping cocktails and chatting with the effervescent Ashley we decided on ordering tapas and started with the Summer Shrimp Basil Roll. I have ordered this every visit and it has never disappointed. Each time it has been flavorful, fresh, and exploding with goodness. My mouth can hardly contain it's glee when I eat it! We also ordered the Larp Moo (always sublime), the Sour Bamboo (pickled bamboo,Thai basil and chopped beef), and Angel Wing. The sour bamboo was lovely but being a Latina I like a little more spice. Ask (for hot sauce) and you shall receive! A secret concoction of spiciness was brought out that made this "chica" feliz. I did wrinkle my nose at the angel wing simply because I am not a wing girl, but this was a boneless wing stuffed with ground chicken, glass noodles, onion and ginger. I am always open to try everything. While this wasn't my favorite, it was quite nice. After we finished our tapas and ordered another round of drinks we decided to have an entree. I was reminded of a scene from "When Harry Met Sally". I heard "oohs" as a dish was presented and I said "I'll have what he's having". What whet my appetite was the wafting scent of ginger, Thai spices, and shrimp. It enraptured my nostrils and tastebuds. The dish consisted of an onion with a meat (ground chicken) filling surrounded by black tiger shrimp. It looked amazing and happens to be Carla's favorite! I learned it is called Pad Nan Prik Pao Gai & Koong. Being a 15 yr old boy at heart, all I could remember was that "prik" was in it's name (Beevis,Butthead and Eric Cartman would be proud). But South Park humor aside, the dish was one I REALLY enjoyed. After sitting there completely satiated, Gary came by to ask us how our meal was. We told him we had the Prik dish and he asked "Which one?". Holy cow there's more than one?! Gary then told us about the Moo Pad Prik King. This dish was absolutely incredible. Slices of pork sauteed in a (spicy for me, that's hot!) red curry paste with long beans. It left me in a gastronomical stupor, mouth burning and nose a little runny. All good things! As we left the restaurant once again I was completely satiated, happy, and looking forward to the next meal.

Wasn't sure what to expect after reading the reviews but the brunch menu looked so good I decided to give it a shot. I was not disappointed!! The place is small and was pretty crowded when we arrived but we were seated immediately and had drinks within seconds. We ordered the Charleston nasty and the creme brûlée French toast. Our food was really, really delicious and service was attentive. We had a great experience here and I definitely wouldn't let the reviews deter you from giving this place a try

Would give 4.5 stars if I could. Went for dinner on a Friday night and we were pleased to see a small table open. Our server promptly took drink and appetizer orders. We both had a lemongrass and ginger martini, which was awful. Way too sweet and not enough ginger. On a brighter note, we shared the Larp Gai (salad) and Thai-style dumplings. Both were fantastic, but the Larp Gai stole the show (A+). For our main course, we split a Teriyaki Filet Roll, which was good, but not great. We also shared Pad Ki Mow Nua, which was good, and a huge portion. Overall, mostly great food and reasonably priced. Our server was very nice, but slow to refill water and had to track him down to get our bill. Would definitely go back.

This was soooo good! Very good Thai food! I got the chicken pad Thai, without chicken. It was yummy! I could have done without the salad.... It was too leafy for me! I'm an iceberg girl! I'm giving it 4 stars because the service wasn't the best, but they were really sweet college girl. Should defiantly try!!

Delicious lunch last Sunday, one had traditional brunch and the other two enjoyed a prix fixe Thai menu. Grits bowl won eve reviews for being tasty, flavorful and hot. The lemongrass Thai salad sports a homemade dressing that's light, lemony and delish!

I've been to Lemongrass three times and have found the food and service to be inconsistent each time. I've had a great meal there with great service, which made me excited to return, and two less than stellar experiences (one of them just this week). The atmosphere is cozy and cocktails are good - but there are many other Macon restaurants that don't sacrifice great ambience, service or food. A friend and I ordered one dish each - both stirfry noodles. They look very similar and can be easy to mix up. When they arrived, the server had accidentally switched up our food (but we didn't know this at the time). My dish was supposed to have tomatoes and spice, with a different protein. When we told our waiter, he said the server didn't make a mistake and that the server saw we had switched the dishes ourselves. We had not (and this is a strange excuse or answer to their mistake. Blaming the customer. Nice). First red flag. The dish I ordered had also arrived with the wrong protein. The waiter explained somehow the dishes got mixed up and was trying to determine who was at fault (us or them). Second red flag. The waiter told my friend, who had already dug into her plate unaware it was not what she ordered, that she could continue eating that plate or get what she ordered. However, he said it had to be one or the other - one of which would get thrown out. The waiter later apologized and said the mistake happened because we arrived close to the kitchen closing and there were a lot of customers. All in all, we were there for much longer than anticipated, because of the kitchen/serving confusion. This was my friend's first time trying Lemongrass (on my recommendation) but this experience made us not want to return. I've never experienced blame for switching a dish or a restaurant not taking accountability for their mistake and offering some way to compensate for it. Had they done so, it would have been fine. I enjoy Thai food and have suggested Lemongrass to many in the community, but I am very disappointed by the poor service we received this time around and will be hesitant to continue recommending to others.

Great food! The service was little scattered! They were semi-busy for brunch! We actually got up and went over to the cart and got our own sauce caddy. The fried green tomatoes were excellent at brunch!

The food was good. We had the crispy tofu with peanut sauce, crispy calamari, and the crispy duck. We also had Thai tea which was extremely too sweet. Overall the food was great, but the service was horrible. The server took too long to get our order. Then after a long wait to get our food, we didn't have any silverware. We had to ask a couple times to different staff members about getting silverware. We ordered a crispy duck for our main entree. By the time it was ready, we were tired of waiting and asked to take the order to go. Again, the food great but the service needs some major improvement. Staff should be more attentive with customers. I've been here before and had the same experiences prior. I assumed it was a fluke and gave it another chance.

Service: We sat at a table for two with only 3 other tables surrounding us. There were two young ladies working Sunday brunch. It took about 20 minutes before one of the servers took our order. The wait for the food was ridiculous. The table of four next to us finished their appetizer, entree, and a lengthy conversation way before we saw food to our table. A couple that walked in while we were ordering received their appetizers before we did. Needless to say, we were 2 seconds from walking out. Food: we ordered the chicken fried shrimp and waffles, fried green tomatoes, pad Thai koong, and pork cigars. The Pad Thai was unpleasantly sweet and lacked that Thai spice and flavor I was craving when we found this restaurant. Everything was also cold when it came out. But... everything fried is crispy.. so.. that's good. Lemongrass had the potential to be great, but they Have to get it together for Sunday brunch.

This place is really cute and modern. I absolutely love Thai. I've been in Macon a little over a year. I paid this place a visit with a friend. The food had an awesome taste ( Carla's favorite ). It was delicious!!! The gentleman waiting on us were awesome, they were very attentive. Very nice place for Macon. They only thing I didn't care for is the size of the restaurant. It's pretty tiny, it's like you'll sit on top of the other diners. I'm glad no one was in the restaurant at the time of my visit. I felt like I had to whisper the whole time. I don't think this is a good place for a first date or if you're needing to speak about business. Other than that, I enjoyed my food. It was an experience.

I have a love hate relationship with this place. I wanted to give it three stars but I actually LOVE the food, but literally if you are eating here give at least 2 hours. It is a TINY place so when I walk in and I see two other tables I immediately regret my decision to come here. They usually have one server and one bartender, and from how long it takes about one cook. I came here and we sat outside once for 6 people it took 3 hours. I MEAN I WAS STARVING that I had to order fries just to stop me from walking out. Now I will say the food is phenomenal. It is OUT OF THIS world. I love their unique thai dishes. I get the 5 spice soup with beef and noodles this thing is AWESOME! I cannot wait until winter time rolls around. I recently just moved back to Atlanta so if we stop through Macon during the winter I am getting a bowl of this sucker. I have had multiple items on the menu and I have never gotten anything I did not like. My favorite is the Pad Woon Sen Gai but I get beef or shrimp instead of chicken, and they have this SAUCE oh my god the sauce it's crack in a bottle. I always ask for some extra with my left overs. AND YOU WILL HAVE THEM! It is pricey but my husband and I share a noodle dish and I always leave full after splitting it. I love their unique NOLA sunday brunch! I do the Shrimp and Grits with the grilled veggies and an order of the peach french toast. I love love LOVE that french toast! I know I complained about the wait, but if you EAT the food you know it is being made from scratch. And I do recommend this place just be patient and give it a shot!

I love the settings of the restaurant- very nice, clean and trendy. I have special observation about the food though - it has been Americanized quite as bit. This is not real Thai food. Fried rice was great but green curry was super modified. If someone is not super open with Asian food, they will have no problem.

Wife and I are visiting and found promising reviews. The appetizers were awesome. We had shrimp summer rolls, pork cigars and Thai dumplings. The main courses were the let down. We had the shrimp and glass noodle with caramelized bacon in clay pot with extra broth and shrimp noodles with tamarind sauce. The clay pot was the biggest let down. It arrived, lid was removed and revealed 4 yes 4 shrimp on top of a solid mass of noodles. The caramelized bacon was two strips of bacon which was boiled under the noodles. The noodles I was able to pry away from the mass was so salty and tasted of nothing but boiled smoke from the bacon. The waiter then brought out the extra broth that he had to get out of the microwave. (His words) it only tasted of salt. The dish cost $18 dollars. SAD I ate two of the shrimp and left the rest. Wife's shrimp noodles with tamarind sauce was just way to sweet but edible. I didn't complain over bad food and they didnt ask, left nice tip as our waiter was attentive and kept us in water. I have eaten in many thai and fusion bistros in many states. Go here for app's and drinks and leave the rest.

I have been hard-pressed to find a Thai restaurant of this caliber outside of Atlanta. Lemongrass has a handful of great noodle, sushi, and stir fry dishes that will intrigue any Thai enthusiast. The only downside to this establishment is the size. On a Friday or Saturday night it can get very cramped (not good for the easily-distracted guest). The Saturday brunch menu is excellent (I highly recommend the Charleston Nasty Biscuit), and they feature bottomless mimosas. Also, their cocktail menu is not one to overlook.

The owner accused me of writing a "fraudulent" review. I assure you we ate there, if you can call that eating. I give it one star because the system won't let me give it none. While he did offer to refund the money for this meal which I wouldn't accept, even if I had the opportunity to have refused. As Judge Judy says, you ordered the steak, you ate the steak, you pay for it. When I tried to message him that I would return and give an objective review and that perhaps many of these issues have been resolved, I discovered that he had blocked me from sending messages. Therefore, I will tell him here. I will come back, try it again, give it an objective go and see how it goes. I appreciate the offer for a complimentary meal but that may not be an indicative experience of the normal experience of dining there. I don't want special treatment. I will come back, but just won't tell you when. I'll be in and out. I'll just be polite, no fuss, no mess, no issue type customer. That would be an average experience and should reflect the general demeaner. And, if it has improved, I give you my word that the review will reflect positively on that. However, I will save the receipt to back up my review this time.

Small restaurant, yes, but anytime other than a Friday or Saturday night right smack in the middle of dinner time I have not found it a problem to get a table or sit at the bar. The food here is really yummy, as are the cocktails. The pricing is pretty fair, although by Macon standards people probably will find it a bit pricey. Their satay sauce is DELICIOUS and their panang curry (one of my faves that I judge every Thai place on) is SO good. Their ahi tuna roll is a big favourite among my friends. Is their service a bit slow? Yes, given that there is usually just one waiter. Also their bartender might be new because it has been taking her like 10-20 minutes to make a couple of cocktails (although their fancy cocktails are pretty involved with lots of different ingredients- their Thailand in a Glass is SO yummy). Nevertheless, when I go to dinner these days I seldom am in a hurry (it's supposed to be an event right?) so I will continue to come to Lemongrass when the urge for Thai food strikes!

As far as Thai places go, I've definitely had much better. The food is bland compared to other places and not enough spices. I gave it a three simply because the interior is so pretty and they have a well stocked bar. I ordered one of the curries and I couldn't tell the difference between that and one of the Indian dishes my mom makes at home. There's better Thai places out there.

We have eaten here a few times for lunch and it's usually pretty good for the price. It's not the most amazing Thai cuisine I've ever had, but it's still pretty good. I have an aunt from Thailand and I grew up eating her food, so it is probably rather subjective for me as well as a matter of preference. Good lunch food for a good price, so no complaints in that area. The restaurant is small, so if you don't like sitting close to strangers, it may not be the place for you. You can sit outside, weather permitting, if the tables are open.

The food is fantastic, but the service is horrible. I was very surprised by how rude the manager was to a group of girls eating beside us. They had waited over an hour for their sushi, and after asking their waiter about it, it was clear the order hadn't even been put in (the restaurant was not busy either, only 1 other table besides ours and theirs) Instead of apologizing and taking blame the manager had the audacity to say "maybe you shouldn't order sushi." After the girls left, he decided it would be ok to bad mouth them to my table. Little did he know, we actually knew the girls. On top of that, an appetizer I ordered had clearly been forgotten as well, and after waiting over 20 minutes I finally asked about it. At the end when we got our bill, we noticed a 20% gratuity had already been included. I tip 20-25% for good service and 15-18% for poor service, so I was pretty disappointed that I was forced to tip well for poor service. Such a shame since the food is so great, but the service makes me really not want to go.

I know little to nothing about Thai food, so I have no basis of comparison. My date and I ordered an ahi tuna roll, a crispy roasted duck entree, and several tapas: Kang Jeud Tao Hoo (Clear soup with tofu, glass noodles, exotic mushrooms and scallions) Larp Gai (Ground chicken with red onion, scallion, pan-roasted rice powder, lime juice and cilantro) Koong Ka Bah (Black Tiger shrimp in a fried wrapper) Pork Cigars (fried spring rolls with pork, cabbage, onion and carrot) The crispy duck was phenomenal - a hint of both sweet and spicy. The soup wasn't my favorite, but was served piping hot and looked lovely. The Larp Gai was definitely different, but it had a light and refreshing feel and was served in a HUGE portion for a tapas. The pork cigars were served with a sweet and spicy dipping sauce, and the Koong Ka Bah was served with a honey-ish dipping sauce. The restaurant was small and cozy with a modern atmosphere and friendly service.

Tricia O is obviously either completely insane or one of Andrea's best friends determined to cause drama. Maybe both. I actually used to eat at lemongrass once a week, but Andrea was so slow I couldn't bear to go anymore. Many times my group waited over half an hour for Andrea to remember to open our bottle beer and give it to us, even with friendly prompting. It was only after I learned they replaced her that I became a regular again... and no complaints about the new staff. It is also worth noting that Andrea probably told Tricia O to write on yelp because evidently the owner responds to it. This is evident if you look at her profile because she signed up that day and only has one review. Food is awesome, I always get Moo Prik Prad King. Pork and green beans spiced up. Oh yea, and Andrea sucked at service (I guess she spent all her time chatting with Tricia O instead of regular patrons like me).
