First off, let me say that the food is AMAZING! And the prices are very reasonable. The Brunswick stew is some of the best I have ever had. BUT I do have just one complaint. The lady that works the drive thru is not very friendly. In a good southern family restaurant like this, I would expect southern hospitality, but not quite what I seem to get here every time.

To die for biscuits and they are as big as a baby's head. Get the crabcake biscuit sandwich or the bacon egg and cheese. They have a line wrapped around the building on Saturdays but it's worth the wait.

This is the Holy Grail of small town Breakfast Biscuits!! I lived in Lawrenceville from 1993 to 2000. Every Friday I went to pick up biscuits for the office. They only serve until they start to run out of food which can be early after opening, so that line wrapped around the building going to the drive thru and the parking lot full of cars means food goes fast. Don't be surprised if you get there later in the morning and they ran out. They run out do to a lot of orders and not to a lack of planning. Years past I ate here weekly and had great service. This last time I ate here I dealt with 3 different people at the counter and clearing tables and everyone was great and really nice. If I am in Atlanta I will always try to make it out here for breakfast. My last trip to the A T L I was staying in Dunwoody and did drive all the way out there at 7AM in the morning just to eat their biscuits. So they also have additional breakfast items but as far as the biscuits here is the break down and you can add Egg or Cheese to everything! Sausage Steak Tenderloin Chicken Country Ham Red Link Spicy Hot Salmon (the L is not silent in the South) LOL! Bacon Gravy Biscuit Plain or Buttered Egg Cheese Bologna and the occasional specials like Philly Cheese Steak and Crab Cake as well as others.

We tried Little Barn last weekend for breakfast. It is quite a haul from our house but we saw it one night on our way home from Mccray's and decided we needed to give it a try. I had the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit and it was good but a little too salty for my taste. Bob really loved his steak biscuit and is definitely hooked. We will more than likely be back to sample the rest of the menu. Sorry LB, my heart and belly still belong to Fagan's!

Really good biscuits with sometimes surly service (oddly enough, they really do seem to treat you better if you are more blue collar: wear coveralls - they smile at you, business casual - you get your food shoved at you. They are in an insanely great location for selling breakfast biscuits. Their BBQ and other lunch items are so-so at best, but the biscuits will remind you of the favorite local place from your youth. 4 stars for breakfast, 2 stars at lunch

When thinking about what the last places I would eat in the south before leaving Atlanta (as seen on talk threads) I mentioned this spot then went to look it up. I am shocked that no one has ever reviewed this place. I love it. I mean I love it so much that I broke my Yom Kippur fast. Basically I have to drive past Little Barn to go pick up my mom before heading to synagogue. The whole way before I got to the Big L, I was thinking "Steph this is a trick, don't stop, whatever you do keep fasting". That lasted until I saw the best biscuit place in the south. Then I realized I had to stop, but even worse is that I had to bring my brother and mom down with me. I got my favorite: a chicken biscuit, though their egg biscuit is good stuff too. You can get all other things on the biscuits like bacon, sausage, canadian bacon, and random other stuff that I never get because I dig on chicken. They also serve bbq for lunch, but I have never had that either. From about 5:30 until 10 they serve breakfast and if you go be forewarned that the line inside the building will be long and that the cars waiting in the drive through will be wrapped around the building. Anyways, go and get some kick ass biscuits and check out the newly revamped Lawrenceville city square; after 80+years (not really sure, but its been a long while) they now serve booze in the city limits. Woo HOO!!

Cat head biscuits with a nice selection of fillings. Bar-b -que is not the best. You can find better, but you will have to drive a ways. It ain't bad, just not going to win any awards. Breakfast is the thing to have here.

I haven't tried the breakfast menu but the BBQ sandwich was just ok and smaller than expected. The stew looked like it would be great (finer consistency except for a few large shreds of chicken), but it surprisingly tasted too much like black pepper. The peach cobbler was cheap and decent for the price, but too syrupy to be considered GOOD. Overall I'd say its OK but the BBQ fare ain't comparable to others around. I planned to get breakfast food but that menu stops being served at 11AM, so I'll have to come back for the biscuits.

Was in the mood for a brisket sandwich. This barbecue place doesn't sell brisket sandwiches. So I settled on two pulled pork sandwiches topped with slaw. I also asked if I could get it on Texas toast. They don't have that either. I asked if they had sweet barbecue sauce they only have original and hot. The sauce was good but the limited selection seems like a waste of space. For a country cookin place they are not warm or welcoming at all. This place is a poor representation of barbecue. I don't know about breakfast, but I don't care to find out.

I like to stop here for breakfast when in Lawrenceville. It is better than many of the breakfast chains I have been to; although, the menu is limited. I have only had breakfast here and not the BBQ. The biscuits are big and delicious, the scrambled eggs and bacon are average to above average depending on the day. Indifferent is probably the word I would use to describe the staff. Get you in - get you out...As long as the food stays good, I will continue to grab breakfast here when I am in town.

This is a pretty decent local breakfast place. They also server BBQ. I really like their biscuits and cinnamon rolls. The biscuits are large and soft. I've tried several of their breakfast biscuits. My least favorite would be the chicken biscuit. It is two fried chicken strips in a biscuit. The steak biscuit is good or just a plain biscuit is great too! It appears to be locally owned and operated. They do run out of stuff, mainly cinnamon rolls and other deserts. They do not serve breakfast all day. I believe only until 11am during the week.

"Yeah".......this is the entire staffs attitude at this wretched place....... Food is alright...but the 'customer service' one receives here is a JOKE!!! WORST 'CUSTOMER SERVICE' EVER!!! Where in the WORLD did they find the horribly mean, rude staff that works here? If the wait staff isn't the owners, whoever the owners are should REALLY look at who they've hired...and put out a request for new help. I wonder if the owners/management have EVER heard the term "Word of mouth"? I will make it my duty to tell EVERYONE I know what a horrid, rude place this is. The food is NOT worth the horrid behavior and attitude you get...PERIOD!!! Don't take it out on the customers simply because you don't like your job...go find another one!!! We didn't choose it for you!!! I just moved to Lawrenceville from Cumming and was told "this is the best place for breakfast around here", so I tried it. First day I visited I went through the drive-thru..."What do you want" is what I was asked on my very first time visit...LOL!!! Okay...I am the type that knows and can APPRECIATE everyone has a bad day every once in a while, so I overlooked the snarky, mean spiritedness of that question and I ordered the country ham breakfast plate...ham was good (I'm used to GREAT country ham biscuits from "That Biscuit Place" in Cumming though...there is absolutely NO COMPARISON...ESPECIALLY when it comes to the customer service aspect of both places!!!) eggs were over done and hard, the grits were the only good thing I got out of my order that day. Two days later I thought I would give it another go and ordered simply a country ham biscuit (ham is my favourite) after yet another rude "what do you want" customer service experience. The biscuit was good that day. I've been back SEVERAL times and every time I go it just gets harder and harder to even want to go back because the service is just HORRENDOUS!!! This morning I decided I'd make one last attempt to get some kind of positive customer service from this place...and one last time I was asked "what do you want" from the outdated drive thru megaphone. I placed my order and after receiving my food I looked the female (does not deserve to be called a 'lady') directly in the eyes and said "I hope you have a great day/weekend" with a genuine smile.......anyone care to guess what I got in reply from this female's pie-hole? "Yeah"....... All I can say is I REALLY miss living in Cumming and being able to frequent 'That Biscuit Place' where the food is AWESOME and the customer service is EVEN BETTER!!!!!!! Maybe the owner should take that entire staff for a 'field trip' to That Biscuit Place and see what genuinely good customer service is REALLY ALL ABOUT!!!!!!! I'll never give my money to this crappy place again...YEAH!!!

This is a review for breakfast only. Really good breakfast. Same price as McDonald's, but you get twice as much food and better quality. The line was to there door and inside all the tables were taken. The drive through was wrapped around as well. I got the sausage egg biscuit and a country ham egg biscuit. I will be coming back. Its a pretty simple thing to make so they get you in and out. Really wasn't that long of a wait after I ordered. They also have plate lunches. Lots of people were ordering the biscuits and gravy. Probably will try that next time.

Having lived in Lawrenceville nearly my whole life, I find Little Barn being one of the things I miss the most after moving to Charlotte, NC. We came down to visit for the weekend and got in late last night. The first thing we did when we woke up was jump in our van and drive to Little Barn from Loganville. Granted, their customer service sucks, but they don't really do the whole interview thing. It's a family owned business and everyone who works there is some sort of relative. Perhaps rude is just a family trait? Lol. Anyway, the lines are usually wrapped around the building and into the street so I was pleasantly surprised to find only one other person at the drive-thru on a Saturday morning. The chicken biscuits used to be larger. I read somewhere around the store, maybe the website? That they would never make them smaller, but they have. It used to be big enough to fit three chicken strips on there, but now they only fit two same sized chicken strips. I can't really complain, these big fluffy chicken biscuits still fill me up. I like the sausage, egg & cheese biscuits as well, however the hashbrowns kind of suck. I give this place 5 stars because they are the best chicken biscuit place I've been to and have yet to find anything to compare to, especially in Charlotte. For some reason every 'country breakfast' place I find up here doesn't sell chicken biscuits. I don't know how they call themselves country and don't even have fried chicken :/ Anyway, the rating is for breakfast, I've never had lunch here.

I have lived in the area for eight years now and pass by this place every morning on my way to work. There is always a line. I finally decided to give this place a try for breakfast and was very disappointed. The biscuits were huge, but they sucked. The chicken we got in one of the biscuits was so dry it made me think of how a piece of cardboard would taste. The country ham wasn't edible because of how salty it was. I know ham is naturally salty, but this was just stupid! The Philly steak was not steak and not Philly. I find the places outside of the perimeter that have lines like this place generally give a lot of food that really sucks. I guess quantity over quality matters for a lot of people. The only reason I gave this place two stars is because it cost us $10 bucks for four biscuits. Oh, and I did try this place for lunch a few years back and had bbq. We got there around 11:30 and missed breakfast. The bbq was horrendous! It makes Sonny's look like a five star gourmet.

This place has good biscuits and great cinnamon rolls. The dining area is small but people are coming and going frequently enough to grab a spot. Food is good, cheap, and large. The ladies behind counter are super friendly and quick. Check this place out. It is kind of hidden but once you find it will be happy you did. Look for the red barn roof.

Their biscuits rock. It's always a place I bring out of towners. A southern tradition done right

No one will ever accuse the staff of Little Barn of being nice. It's simply not in their nature. It's possible that if you roll up to their restaurant in a 20 year old 4x4 truck, wearing camouflage and having the unmistakable drawl of a UGA fan -- they might favour you with a smile. If you're a normal Atlantan? Forget it. Even worse? Their food is simply not good. If you can catch them after a rush, you might get some fresh food. Otherwise you're relegated to the same batch of biscuits and sausage that has been sitting under their warming lamps for an hour and is burnt to a crisp. I hate to say it - but you'll receive better service and far fresher food at a local fast food joint.

I stopped by the Little Barn on my quest to find the perfect breakfast biscuit sandwiches in the Atlanta area. We put in our order and waited about 10 or so minutes. I overheard someone say that they ran out of biscuits and had to make some more. Based on the fact there was a drive-thru outside, I gather that this was an unusually long wait. A couple of minutes later, they called our number. The biscuits that I received were huge, the size of a large bagel. They looked, well kind of ugly. There was kind of a floppy limpness to how it looked. I was expecting a grainy, dense block. What I bit into though, was pure heaven. The biscuit was buttery, flaky, and salty in a good combination. The biscuit melted in my mouth, but may have been a touch too lardy or something. The sausage was spicy and tasted homemade, not prefab. The eggs were light and fluffy. The cheese was your standard uninspiring American slice. Not bad, but nothing special. The prices were great. The prices were McDonald's cheap which amazes me for homemade fare. The staff wasn't rude, but wasn't particularly nice, either. Basically neutral, which is OK, because it isn't a full service restaurant, but rather just a counter with some tables. I will definitely be back here. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could. I would say it was great and I will be back, but it wasn't so good for me to retire my biscuit inspection project.

Did the drive-thru on Saturday morning with hubby before he had to go to work. Line inside was starting to form OUTSIDE the restaurant and drive-thru line wasn't much better. We moved pretty quickly, however when we got to the speaker it was quiet. Dead quiet. I figured they must be very busy inside and were slow to greet us. Nope. Sat there for another minute and finally my hubby was like, "Ummm, hello? Is anyone there?" All of a sudden a rather surly voice answered back "What's your order?" Wow...ok. If you were that quick to answer, why didn't you greet us when we sat there in silence for two minutes? Mucho lame-o. Food is very tasty though, with good sized portions. Might come back, as long I don't mind slow and grouchy service.

Decent place to get a nice little country breakfast. Its no frills, like the name suggests the atmosphere is pretty down home and country. Don't expect service with a smile or sunny disposition, its get in, order and get out. Knowing this, I can say I've had no problems personally with the service. As for the food, I can say I've only gone for breakfast so this review is for that only. Their calling card is their biscuits, and they are quite massive. They're very light and not too dense. My go-to biscuit of choice is the steak biscuit, and I especially like it dipped in gravy. To me you simply cannot have a steak biscuit without gravy!! I get that probably 8 out of every 10 times I go. You can't go wrong with the bacon, country ham, chicken, or red hot sausage link biscuits either. Stay away from the Philly steak or crab cake biscuits as neither are at all authentic. A minor annoyance for me is that they only scramble their eggs, which when eating on the go a lot of eggs can easily slide out. I wish they had a choice of fried or sunny-up eggs. Also I wish they offered at least a couple other cheese options other than processed American cheese, but that's just me. As for a rating, I really teetered back and forth between a 3 and a 4, but I chose 4 because the food is simple but tasty no frills country biscuits. Also, there's not too many places that offer this kind of breakfast in this part of Gwinnett county, and besides its a great alternative to the predictable chain spots any day.

Very disappointing. The biscuits were quite large, but incredibly bland. Service was exceptionally slow.

I went in and sat down. But I noticed that most of the business comes through the drive through. The wait seems short either way. It has a fast food feel to it. I was expecting a slow country like atmosphere. The size of the biscuit was impressive. The taste was not. They weren't bad, but they weren't good either. The thing that got me is that they are known for the biscuits, but they didn't have syrup. They had all of the jelly packets you would ever need, but no syrup.

Finally made it to this place for breakfast. The last time my husband went was pre Y2K. We all ordered the sausage, egg and cheese biscuit with sweet tea! The biscuits were huge and kept us full through lunchtime. Very buttery and they don't skimp on filling it up. Be forewarned though, it is truly a "Little Barn" and there are maybe 8 tables. Oh the tea was sweet and yummy too. I liked how it didn't have that floury taste to it like at Chik-Fil-A.

Can you say "Cat head" biscuits!! One of biggest sausage egg and cheese biscuits I ever had.
(4)
Betty R.
These biscuits are as big as my head, and SO good--fluffy, yet firm enough not to just crumble all over your lap. The chicken and sausage were just meh, but the gravy was delicious and the country ham was awesome. I love the hometown, local feel of this place, and I will definitely be back to try more goodies.

Little Barn has the biggest biscuits I've ever seen/ eaten and for such a great price! I'll definitely be back.

Biscuits here are fluffy and filled with goodness. Family owned place that does not have the best coffee, but knows how to make a great breakfast!

Awesome biscuits for breakfast! Wish the drive thru was faster but they have a nicer window lady now and food is getting faster!!!

I hated it. I hated the food. I hate the smell. I hated the kind of people that go there. It felt like it is a step down low class place

Really awesome, always get Bacon, Egg an Cheese biscuit...Yummy.. Ms Laura and her folks have been there forever and it's always good. Look around, you'll see same folks all the time, it's a community staple.

(4)Betty R.

My ABSOLUTE favorite place for biscuits. I can never finish one by myself. The steak and gravy is my favorite to choose and the brunswick stew to being home is supreme. Definitely a home town treat!

i love their breakfast. i suggest the philly bscuit with egg and cheese. i tried their bbq sandwich for lunch and was really dissapointed. i'm not sure if there is any sauce on the meat or not but it lacks flavor and small. Stick to breakfast and skip the lunch
