Visiting the area and decided to stop in. Had to wait a few min at the front because no one acknowledged me, but from then on out I had excellent service. Got steak and shrimp (not at the grill). Soup came out right away, very flavorful. I am from farther north and typically the soup is very bland. The salad came out with an unrecognized dressing. It was their house dressing, creamy white or something? Idk, had never heard of it and they didn't have my typical ranch or ginger. It was okay, had a tad oniony taste to it. Food came out shortly after my salad (and was hot!) and it was nicely presented. Steak was a perfect medium well, shrimp was 1-2 min over done (but u know I still ate it ;-). Plate came with a lot of rice (delicious), a small amount of zucchini and onions (still deliciously crunchy) and some cooked shredded cabbage. They did have ginger sauce and some kinda mustard sauce (yucky), I actually tried some of the house dressing on everything was pretty tasty. Had they had my typical delicious white sauce (idk what it really is) they would've had a 5. Will return if in the mood for Japanese.

For pretty much the only Habachi Japanese Restaurant in town - well needs much improvement. They are either under staffed or just not trained properly. Would t mind the chefs add a little more entertainment while cooking. The Habachi food I will say is very good and always cooked correctly. The sushi is sub par and won't order Sushi from their anymore

My husband and I tried our banzai again after a year or so. Although they cleaned up the inside the food was horrible! Vegetables were bland, rice was under cooked, steak tasted weird, and I think the shrimp was bad. We will not be going back anytime soon.

I grew up on Banzai in good ole Lagrange, GA. It is truly your typical hibachi grill with "Japanese Cowboy", flaming volcano (onion), and two pieces of mushroom chicken broth soup. Don't forget to eat your iceberg lettuce salad with gobs of ginger dressing. Man o' man, bring back the memories. It is really a 3 star experience, but for the nostalgia you get 4.

This a great place to eat! Steak and rice is awesome. Good prices for lunch too.
