Gray's Mill Coffee has an awesomely unique cinnamon roll. You MUST try one, or several! The rolls pair really well with the best coffee Paulding County has to offer, which Gray's Mill also serves. And if you aren't in the mood for coffee or dessert, try their tomato bisque soup.

I wanted to love this place. I've watched the build, followed on Facebook, etc. New local coffee shop...what's not to love, right? It had decent chai, but the ambiance and atmosphere was full of negativity. I came in on a late afternoon ready to sit down for a bit and do some writing, but it was impossible to concentrate. First the music was way too loud, then the person working was sitting on a couch instead of at the counter. It was immediately off putting. The shop I believe is owned by a husband wife team...well team is a strong word. For the first 20 minutes I was there the wife talked on the phone loudly to someone complaining about the husband, then he came in and she talked to him like he was a kid. Following this she continued to talk loudly on the phone about some local town politicians, her husband, her kids or employees (not sure). I stuck around for about 45 minutes trying to will myself to ignore her distracting behavior and wanting desperately to fall in love with the place but I couldn't. Place has an amazing steam punk set up with what looked like some nice seating, but I didn't get a chance to try those because owner (wife) was sprawled out on one and the (kids and/or employees) were on the others. I thought about getting a snack at one time, but the person working the counter spent a good amount of time outside on the phone. I was disappointed. I know I'm not in Decatur anymore already, but I was hoping this would at least offer me some of that feeling I used to get from a # of shops there. Wanted to give more stars, wanted to have a locally owned place to go for a chai or coffee and spend time reading, working, and studying...search is still on.
