The food is good here. I usually order the country fried steak, but today, I decided to try something different. I ordered the beef brisket, fried okra, mashed potatoes with brown gravy, and a peach muffin. Everything was good except the brisket, which was fatty and a little tough. On the plus side, it did have a nice smoky flavor. The peach muffins are awesome! The service was pretty good too! I will return at some point, but I, personally, will stay away from the beef brisket!

Great prices, food was delicious, I had the 9.99 special which includes a starter, meal with 2 sides & choice of bread, and dessert. I ordered a salad for my starter, fried chicken with sweet potatoes and corn, and cornbread for my meal and blackberry cobbler. Everything was grwat, no complaints! The blackberry cobbler had no seeds and i added ice cream with it. I will be back Folks!!!

The food was not very good. i had Calabash Shrimp which tasted like something i bought at the store threw in the oven and baked. The wait staff was slow and not very attentive. I used to love eating here but this will be my last visit. Yuck!!

Woa! OK someone has changed cooks! Let me tell you why I'm writing this. A while back I ate here with my parents when dad wanted some "homestyle" fish but we didn't want to drive all the way to Lithia springs or Douglasville for Cracker Barrel, so we dropped in and instantly knew something was wrong. The place was EMPTY. That was around noonish. Long story short, it was AWFUL and we swore we wouldn't go back. Cut to 2 months later I had a craving for fried dill pickles. I had had this particular appetizer at other locations and had great success with it, so I gave this Folks ONE MORE TRY. I was blown away! The place was PACKED! I ordered a hamburger steak, mac n cheese, hush puppies, and of course, Fried Dill Pickles. (I'm wild about these things.. i dont even know why! They're so greasy but so good!) I've had Folks at other locations, this one is BETTER! The burgers taste hand patted where the other loactions feel frozen, the hushpuppies are good, the macaroni hot n fresh, and of course, the Fried Dill Pickles are to die for. (and frankly, with the sodium, fat, and grease in them, you just might! Oh but it'll be with a smile on your face!) Whatever the manager did here, they've done something rigth and in my opinion, have saved this franchise location. If you're in Hiram and/or had a bad experience in the past, give em another try! I doubt you'll be disappointed! I can't give a folks 5 stars. I just can't. If it were a standalone restaurant and not a chain I probably would, but franchises instantly get cut back a little bit for me. That being said, I give them all of the 4 stars I gave them. This location has a competent staff and cook now, and I welcome the change!

We prefer going here over Longhorn, Chillis, and O'charleys. The food is always good and the prices are right. When we eat in the servers are always kind and down to earth. It has always been a pleasant dining experience....not too snooty and the food is good. We have gone next door to Longhorn and wish we had come here. The food and the service is MUCH better.

The food is ok to good. It is not as good as it used to be. The wait staff is very young and not well trained. You will not have a memorable service experience. I would avoid seems to be under-managed.

The food I had today was. . . Ok. I had the country fried steak sandwich for lunch. It was nothing to rave about. The corn nuggets are good. The main thing that freaked me out a bit was a grungy looking guy in a gray sweatshirt with his sleeves pushed up and dirty looking hands, while wearing an equally dirty hat with medium length hair, comes walking out of the kitchen into the dining room. He came out of the kitchen my food just came out of just seconds before. The waitress I had was fantastic. She was very nice and helpful. The two stars given were for the corn nuggets and her.

Went looking for some good ole country cooking and we found it! Our food was delicious and what a value too! We were offered free fried green tomatoes since it was our first visit and they were great!

Southern food is like mothers milk to me. I love it, i was raised on it. Its what my grandmother cooks when we have family gatherings. Its the most perfect food in the universe as far as i'm concerned. I also have weight issues. You can put two and two together if you want, i'd rather not. Folks is good, not great, southern food. The good stuff is breaded in cornmeal and fried (probably not in lard like it should be). Most of the things i've had there are good but could use a little more seasoning, they tend to be a little bland but thats easily fixed with a little S&P. I really like the veggies, if you can call them that since every good southern boy knows that any veggie is better breaded and fried. Overall, i like the Folks but its not a place i go often since i'm trying to live past 30. Its decent food and its pretty cheap and if you count fried veggies as veggies, its pretty well balanced.

Food is fine, not bad and not awesome. This is not the place to go if you are on a diet or watching what you eat by any means as most of their offerings are deep fried, have loads of sugar, or TONS of butter & grease. However, if you are looking for some southern style cooking this place just might give you the fix you are looking for.

So so food for decent prices. Pick up area for to go orders provides a glimpse of kitchen I wouldn't want people to see if I worked there.

I've never ate on the inside, so I can't speak on service. Phone ordering was a breeze and the food was pretty good...reasonable prices as well. My hubby said he doesn't think we'll be eating there again because it was had an unclean appearance.

Just bad! Don't know what else to say. Nothing like Folks use to be.
