OK, went here for lunch on a Saturday as 6th Street Pier was closed. Decent bread arrived with Land O Lakes "Fresh Buttery Taste Spread." with this clue, throttled back and ordered French onion soup with Caesar salad and iced tea. The iced tea was OK, Caesar was marginal, and the soup must have been from a can with local addition of salt, lots of salt.

I was pleasantly surprised. We had the prime rib and it was quite good. It was $18 each which is not unreasonable, and it was huge. A big Dewars was only $5 and the pints $3.50. Nice place to eat in Griffin.

Upscale (at least, kind of upscale) dining in a strip mall -- hey, get over it, you're in Griffin. J. Henry's is pretty dependable and reasonably priced. The wait staff is friendly and efficient. I've been here with large groups -- up to 30 people and no hiccups. Should probably rate them higher but nothing stands out except the fried green tomatoes, yeah, 5 stars for their fried green tomatoes (on menu under appetizers).

The service is good. The food was okay. I had prime rib and it was slightly below average. The mash potatoes weren't very good at all. It was good enough though, and I will give it one more shot the next time I stay in Griffin.

Nestled into a strip mall in the heart of Griffin lies J. Henry's restaurant. The service is friendly and efficient, and the place has an elegant, fine-dining vibe. During a recent lunch visit with a client, I ordered the in-house smoked salmon salad with the house-made lemon lime dressing. If you're a fan of smoked salmon, I highly recommend it. My client's pasta primavera looked and smelled amazing, and was loaded with fresh, seasonal vegetables. While J. Henry's does not have a gluten free menu, they were able to accommodate my allergy easily, and my server even relayed information about the cheese they use at the restaurant. Theirs is gluten free because they shred it themselves. However, the chef wanted me to beware of shredded cheeses in the grocery store since many brands add flour to the cheese to help it not stick together. A very nice touch, and good information to have.

Overpriced for the food quality. Located is a strip mall, the interior is blah, but they always have lots of female staff hanging around. Don't get your hopes up.

This is the most elegant restaurant in Griffin, as the prices reflect. However, the food doesn't quite match the price. It's good, that's for sure, but the only time I go here is when everyone at the office wants to "go out for lunch." It's not really someplace I crave to go. If you do go, get the soup of the day (no matter which it is) and a sandwich. Their sandwiches are great.

If you like eating in the dark, it's a great place for you. Food was mediocre for the price.

NIce place, I wish they would turn the lights up a bit. I have a buddy who is a regular at this place (he is like Norm from cheer's) and he brought me here, a little price but not bad to go and have a quiet time out.

This place is great! The food and service are great every time I go. My favorite things to get are the Smothered Chicken and the French Dip. The Smoked Salmon is awesome, as well.

This restaurant is in the heart of small town Griffin. I work in the boonies so I get to try the mom and pop places. This restaurant is considered semi-upscale for Griffin. Talk about southern hospitality...great staff!I have only been here for lunch but if anyone is ever down here...this is the place to go to for some good prime rib!!!!

So, this is probably the nicest restaurant in Griffin. The decor has a casual elegant feel. It's nothing special but nice. The service has always been fine too. They have changed their menu ,since I was last there. When, I have been there, the shrimp were really really good. They are probably the best thing on the menu. They used to have an Italian chicken dish that was good ,but it is no longer on the menu. Their salads are good ,and they put some new ones on the menu that sound really tasty. I would not recommend their steaks ,unless they have changed too. I don't eat much steak ,but my dad does. He has never been impressed or really happy with their steaks.

This is one of the nicer restaurants in Griffin as far as atmosphere goes... then again, it's Griffin, so that's not saying much. Yes, it is nicer than Appleby's, Chic-fil-a, BBQ restaurants and fast food. Woo-hoo. The menu items are incredibly boring in my opinion. Would you care for some boring steak, some boring chicken, some boring pork, or some boring fish? Maybe some decent rolls with MARGARINE (gross)? They do have pretty good chicken tenders, caesar salad, and one of the best things on the menu is the squash casserole (which they actually took off the menu for a while). I know people who love J. Henry's, but I generally consider those people to have very bland, boring, uncultured palates. Dull food for boring people. The atmosphere, like I said, is good, a little upscale, and it's a good place to go if you're dressed up. You'll probably see QUITE a few people you know, if you live in Griffin. However, I go there in SPITE of the food, not because of it.
