I'm a huge fan. First off, it's open 24/hr. Secondly, it's consistently yummy. I've never gone here for bbq. I'm sure it's good because I've never been to a Korean joint that fux up the bbq. (we take it seriously), but service is ahjumah power! BOOM BOOM I love their traditional dishes, my fave is the sulleong tang, a delicious white creamy broth, they load you with all the exact condiments of salt and plenty of green onions and LOTS AND LOTS of variety of Kimchi (our national treasure). It tastes like my grandma/ladies at church made it. After coming back from Paris, no joke, I swung by my dad's and then picked up my favorite soup to go. (And they're fast!) And this is key: I only go here at odd hours and times to get an occasional homey meal TO GO! Yay anti socialism!!! I try to avoid the drunken crowd at 4 am. I sped home and gobbled that goodness down. Oh my. I missed Atl if only for the food :) SO SO GOOD.

To be honest I don't eat Korean often enough to know really really great Korean. However, I've had it enough to know bad. This place is not bad, but if I could use 3.5 stars I would. I ordered the fried dumplings and bone soup with tripe, knee tendon, and tongue. The dumplings were ok; pretty average. The soup and dipping sauce that accompanies it was delicious. FULL of huge chunks of tendon and tripe, with tender slivers of tongue. Reasonably priced for what I ordered and friendly waitstaff. To be fair, their main entrees look fairly extensive. I also like the fact I was the only American in the place. I think it's a good sign when people who know what the cuisine should taste are filling the restaurant I'm eating in.

WHAT A RIP OFF OMG. It's unreal. Spent $50 on 2 plates of meat (we were really just provided with 2 plates of meat, not exaggerating). It did say "no unlimited bbq" on the menu, but I was expecting something more than just 2 plates. The quality of the meat was OKAY--very similar to Iron Age. Should have just gone to Iron Age instead of trying somewhere new. I've never been this unhappy at any restaurants before. MAYBE there was a miscommunication on whether if we could have gotten more meat. But they did in fact turn off the leave us alone after cooking the 2 plates of meat. When my boyfriend tried to ask the server if we could have more meat, she left for a few minutes and came back to say no. -______________________-!? Maybe she didn't understand what we were saying??? She seemed confused. Ok, I'll just stop the rant here. Excuse me--I really had to get it out somewhere. NEVER. COME. HERE. FOR. BBQ. Unless you're just rich & dgaf.

Decent food with underwhelming service. We had number 12, number 75, and number 79. However, they did offer a nice set of side items, including octopus. It was delicious!

Myung Ga Won is one of the nicer Korean BBQ restaurants in the Atlanta area. In terms of ambiance and decor, I put it in the same tier as 678 and Honey Pig. It's classier and more sophisticated than other Korean BBQ restaurants so it could be ideal for introducing Korean BBQ to those who haven't tried it before. The restaurant generally caters to the middle-aged Korean crowd. It's not as loud as some of the other places and there's less likelihood of smelling like cooked meat upon leaving. Outside, the restaurant has a sign that says "24 HOUR OPEN," but I don't believe that's the case anymore. At night, this sign is no longer lit up. Call to confirm hours. Multiple Korean restaurants in Duluth are open past midnight (e.g. Star Daepo), but Seo Ra Beol is the only one I can think of, last I checked, that operates 24/7. Myung Ga Won doesn't have all-you-can-eat (AYCE) Korean BBQ. You have to order a la carte. It also isn't as cheap as the AYCE places. Local competitors like Song Do BBQ, Gobawoo, and Sun & Moon Cafe charge less than $20 for unlimited BBQ. However, Myung Ga Won's meat is less fatty and higher quality. If you want better meat, the price difference is justifiable. A good meal here is about $30-35 per person, after tax and tip, and includes multiple orders of BBQ (typically beef brisket and pork belly) and alcohol (beer, soju). Gas grills are installed at every table. You order raw meat which is sliced and cooked at your table. You can either cook the meat yourself or let the servers do the cooking. I prefer to let the servers do it. Korean BBQ is always a fun, interactive dining experience. Exhaust systems are installed above the grills to help clear out the air. The grills at Myung Ga Won are one of the more unique sets of grills I've seen along with 678 and Honey Pig's grills. The grills are actual grills with a gridiron pattern installed directly into the tables. This is opposed to the small and portable grill pans or griddles used at some of the other restaurants. Not only do you see the traditional grill marks on your cooked meat, but I think this style of grill results in a smokier, better-tasting meat. Order the beef brisket and pork belly. They are tender, full-flavored, and delicious. You can start with higher quality, unmarinated meats first. The lower quality meats are marinated to mask the decrease in quality. Marinated or unmarinated, I think all of the meats taste fine. I do like how the meats aren't too greasy here. You can wrap the meat with the supplied lettuce leaves and add sauces to them for additional flavor. The sauces include a seasoned oil and a fermented soybean paste. Several banchan (Korean side dishes) are served with the BBQ. They include an assortment of spicy and pickled vegetables including kimchi (cabbage), cucumbers, bean sprouts, black beans, and daikon (white radish). Other examples of banchan may include broccoli salad and an egg-veggie pancake. It's all good stuff and free refills can be requested. Salad and boiling bowls of tofu soup are always included. Service is a common complaint for this restaurant, particularly among non-Koreans. The servers are usually older Korean ladies who speak very little English, so the communication barrier is the main culprit. Other restaurants like Iron Age and Oh! My Samgyupsal employ younger servers who seem friendlier and speak better English. Aside from this, I think the service is fine. The servers are quick, attentive, and do a good job cooking the meat for you. As with other Korean restaurants, there's a button at each table which can be pressed anytime to call a server. The restaurant has two floors. The upper level has private rooms for large groups. Reservations are accepted. Myung Ga Won is conveniently located just off I-85 at exit 104, Pleasant Hill Rd.

In the words of Jimmy Fallon, "ew." This review is based on multiple visits here. Myung Ga Won is a good place if you're really looking for Korean food and nothing else is open, but otherwise, there are so many other places that you can get a cheap, decent Korean meal. First of all, their service is pretty bad in that after they've taken your order, they disappear. Most Korean places will refill your banchan (side dishes) or ask you if you need anything. They also skimp on ingredients like crazy. My friend recently ordered a kimchi dol sot bap (kimchi fried rice in the hot stone bowl), and it came with no meat even though the menu included meat in the description. My friend's mandoo gook (dumpling soup) had the cheap, frozen dumplings, and my mushroom tofu soup left a ton to the imagination. The banchan is ok, but nothing to write home about. The food is also very one note, and it's clear they use MSG as their primary flavoring. I don't mind it too much if they use it to up the savory factor, but the way they do it here is pretty off-putting. All that said, the reason for the 2 stars and not 1 is that the time is convenient, and if you come with very low to no expectations, then it's not a big deal. Just know that this place is in no way representative of good Korean food, and you'll be just fine.

The staff here was nice. The last time I was here was probably 2010, and so yesterday's visit was basically like a first time visit. The beef bulgogi (?) tasted very average. I can't remember the exact number on the menu, but I think it was #12. The marination wasn't anything different than what can be spruced up at home. The beef soup was plain as well. I think the number was E something. They did include a good amount of beef bones though. The only really delicious thing was the pancake, and that thing cost about $16. The hot tea they serve was good too. Oh. The squash side dish was delish and different. The complimentary soup at the end of the meal had a very potent taste so watch out for that. Overall a very pleasant place for a meal. Parking was plentiful, and service was nice. The food sits right at average with the price being a tad on the higher end. I think this place opens 24 hrs. so that could explain the price hike. The restaurant is across the street from Mozart café. It is in the complex that's directly behind McDonald's.

I started coming here when it first opened and still recall the first visit being one that impressed me in so many ways. The unique side dishes and quality of meat. Only many many years into the current day and it has lost a little bit of the charm and quality of food. I have been told by Korean friends that the food is authentic and that this same restaurant exists in Korea at a few locations and this is the lone US location. I personally feel as if they offer a good menu for large groups or a night owl like me that craves Korean food at 3am on a Tuesday. I have been impressed with its ability to keep a somewhat consistent menu through the years, but a little disappointed to see changes like adding of Teriyaki Shrimp or the white paper taped when you enter stating that they intend to charge you a dollar for an extra side dish past two. While I don't intend to need or want a second or third side dish I feel they can keep it classy and just tell someone it will cost them and save the tacky paper and can see that the feeling of being the lone non-Korean patron was a thing of the past. Other than the hanging white page this has always been a very classy establishment, but in my more recent trips the quality of the food has gone from great to mediocre. In particular the squid on one occasion which was like eating plastic or the meat on others that was dry and overlooked. The atmosphere is very calm and relaxing with a staff whom is very accommodating and can be summoned to your table with the handy buttons on each table. So, while the quality is not what I recall it is still a good spot in the late hours and is still worthy of three stars.

Went to get some lunch with my family. We ordered some jeons (Korean pancakes). When we got they were precooked food what was reheated then served to us. Jeon tasted very stale and old. I asked the waitress about the issue and she took the food back. Few minutes later she brought out the same plate of jeon and told us that they taste alright. I was baffled and furious how they handled thos issue. We wont be back. Never, ever!!!
(1)Lucy C.
So much on the menu. I liked my beef tendon soup but it was a bit bland. The pancakes were really well made. The appetizer dishes were okay, but they did bring out plenty more than I expected, yay! We got many dishes to share and while I liked them all there was really nothing special.
(3)Nancy N.
Not the best Korean BBQ that I've had, but pretty good for a 24hr place. PLUS, they give you a zillion ban-chan dishes! With that said, I got full mainly based on the ban-chan and not so much the meats. The portions aren't very large, which wasn't too unexpected. There's too many Korean places around the area to have to settle for this place. It's decent, but I'm sure I can find better at a more reasonable price or possibly bigger portions. i'll have to try a different place next time I'm in town!

I went here with my family a few days ago. I'd say this place is OKAY. Not one of the better tofu houses I've eaten at, but it was decent. They also serve Korean BBQ and it is 24 hours, so if you have a craving, this is the place. However, it is a bit pricey than other tofu houses. SIDE DISHES - Of course, to any korean restaurant, there must be a comment about the side dishes served before your entree/big meal. We had kimchi, pickled radishes (2 kinds), acorn jelly (savory), sauteed veggies, and others commonly found and served at other korean places. They were decent, but didn't make a wow factor for us. Even before the side dishes are served, they gave us a small serving of this warm, yet bland soup. It's creamy and has substance, but I did not know if it was potato or creamed radish. With a bit of salt and pepper, it was delightful and tasty. THE FOOD Dolsot Bibimbap - One of my family members ordered this and I think this is the regular bibimbap with veggies and rice. This person eats anything and everything so I didn't have a clear idea if it was good. However, it seemed like any bibimbap that you'd order which comes with the cold soup on the side and hot sauce Kimchi Dolsot Bibimbap - Basically what I said above, just added with Kimchi if you want more spice or just a kimchi lover. Kimchi was okay Tofu Soup - In our entire stay, I don't know why it was so difficult for them to put together a meatless and veggieless tofu soup? Maybe it was the waitress that we had who didn't really understand us clearly, but it was giving us a hard time to order, for some odd reason. Anyways, it was decent and the tofu was nice and smooth. Beef Tofu Soup - This is what I usually order. However, I had eaten a little bit before so, this is probably why I thought the tofu soup was OKAY. There was a good amount of meat which I was happy, but most of it were small pieces that were a bit chewy. The egg did not come automatically with it so I had to ask for it myself. I ordered with regular spicy and it was okay. Again, the tofu was still silky and smooth, but I could not finish it and it was a bit bland even though it was a bit spicy, with an egg. It wasn't as flavorful as I would have hoped. At the end of our meal, they serve us a Cinnamon Ginger tea. It's served cold, or ours was a bit cold but it has the cinnamon aroma and sweet when you drink it. Though you have the bitter aftertaste of the tea. Otherwise, it was refreshing to have after a spicy meal. The interior of the place is impeccably beautiful. It looked very modern and clean. There was enough seating that I could see and the chairs are comfortable. We were greeted nicely and enthusiastically by the person at the front, even though it was rainy. The waitress that we had was okay. She sounded like she wasn't able to understand what we wanted specifically changed in our order, again like the e tofu soup I mentioned above. That was the only issue we had in our visit.

Oh boy. Where did the Myung ga won I used to know go to? My wife and I stopped by for a quick lunch and ordered a Galbi tang(soup). What we got was a soup filled with a left over bones from Galbi and a tiny bit of rubbery meat. What's worse? I had servers seating across the partition and chatting about their personal life story. Why do I have to hear this when I am eating in the restaurant? Made me feel like I am disturbing their good chat time when I needed to get my check. While we were walking out, we mention the chatting part to the front host, and immediately all servers' eyes are upon us. Oh great. I am not coming back here. Ever.

This restaurant has a fancy vibe and well dressed servers. You wouldn't feel comfortable coming here if you are super casual. Overall, the service was good and prompt when we went. They might not be smiling all the time, but you can't expect that when dining in an authentic place. We were the only non-Koreans in the restaurant and we went with the regular menu. The food is pricey. Here is the breakdown of the food: -The seafood and scallion pancake appetizer was very good -The fried dumplings were also nice. -We enjoyed the nice variety of kimchi banchan -The spicy squid was overcooked. The squid was rubbery and chewy -The beef bulgogi was very tasty, but note that you can buy the premarinated steak from Super H to cook on a skillet (a ton of it for $7) and it tasted just like the Super H Mart bulgogi that I cook at home. -My soup of beef bone and cabbage in a pork broth seemed promising, but it ended up tasting very bland. It would be a good soup if you were sick, but not a craveworthy soup.

Saw this place while pumping my gas at the BP across the street, was looking for lunch and behold...Korean BBQ-24hrs!!! I had the bebimbop in the stone bowl, a shot of makers mark and some kimchi. It was great. Menu is mostly Korean, basic English description. My friend ordered a been curd stew and beef short ribs. Everything was great, I'll be back.

It was a long New Years Eve. After a night at the club, we decided it was time to get something more substantial other than water or alcohol into our systems and our stomachs. One person threw out the idea of Myung Ga Won and all of a sudden, here we were at 3:30 AM New Years Day. This 24 Hour Korean BBQ is located off of Pleasant Hill. I have been here way too many times, as my food baby can tell you, unfortunately. The restaurant always seems silent when I get there, and it seems frowned upon if you make too much of a ruckus. I don't understand. I always get the tofu soup out of comfort food feels. Nothing special and slightly overpriced compared to what you can get at other restaurants. However it is spicy and filling and hits the spot. It can be hard to get the attention of a server so keep an eye out for whenever they make their rounds. I wonder how service and the atmosphere is around Myung Ga Won during conservative hours. I'm not sure I'll be around to see it.

This place was a complete bust. The exterior and interior of this place is modern and probably is one of the nicer "looking' korean place in GA. Overall, food was not that good. Seafood dolsot bibimbop was extremly bland and we could only find small amount of low quality seafood in the dish. LA Galbi tasted decent but the portion of the dish ($ for $) was pathetic. Lastly, the service was below average. We always had to ask for things and our server only came to our talbe to drop / pick up the food / check. I can't understand how this place is still in business. There are many good korean places in Duluth area. Stay away from this one and try other places.
(1)Karly G.
Expensive. Anyways, the interior is really nice and fancy and it's a story restaurant. It's nice aquiet on the first level. Ive never been upstairs. I wouldn't go here for tofu soup of any sort because they obviously do not specialize in it. It was quite bland and I had no egg to crack. I'm not Korean, but I've eaten enough to know some sort of restaurant tradition. I like a raw egg to crack in my tofu soup, thank you. I wouldn't go here for dolsot bibimbap because it is boring. There's nothing exciting in that stone bowl, not even the sound of crackling rice at the bottom of the pit. The disappointment is similar to that of pouring milk onto mute rice krispie cereal. I have to say that we never had poor service and I've been here twice. Everyone was very friendly. Although they spoke little English but they understood our order fairly well. I mean, you can't go wrong with pointing at pictures now can you?

Myung Ga Won looks like an old-school, fancy Korean BBQ place. It reminds me of places I used to go in Korea in the 2000's. The taste, the staff, and the decor reminds me of 10 years ago. I don't know how long Myung Ga Won have been around, but it is probably 10 years old. The food tastes good. You can't go wrong with the BBQ here. I liked it all. The marinated ribs tasted the best. It had a good, sweet, and beefy flavor. They cook the meat on propane flame. So you don't get the smokiness, but it doesn't need to. Their banchans were standard fare. One odd thing I found out was you have to ask for rice. The rice is free, but you have to ask for it. Also, they give you purple rice if you're Korean. I was the only one who got purple rice (since I spoke Korean to the staff), but everyone got the pedestrian white rice. Unfortunately, I don't like purple rice. I like humble white rice. The price seemed expensive for the quantity of food you get. That's one of the downsides of this place. I thought it was on the expensive side. But that's Atlanta Korean BBQ scene. You probably can't get good marinated beef ribs for a decent price in Atlanta anyway. The staff was Korean. They were polite in language but seemed busy and cold. I know they weren't busy because we were the only ones there. I guess they were ready to go home. They did their jobs well, but they did it with scowls on their faces. Myung Ga Won is not bad. It's comparable to the other Korean BBQ places in Atlanta: expensive, Korean treatment in service, and decent food. I give it about 3.75 stars.
(4)Laura N.
Great food and open 24/7. So far, I have tried the sullungtang, tteokgalbi, galbi, soondubu, and the mul naeng myun. All were delicious and authentic. They were served with eight very different and awesome banchan dishes, including fishcake, spicy fish, potato salad, kimchi, sauteed onions, spicy broccoli, bean sprouts, etc. Myung Ga Won is a clean, beautifully decorated, and relatively large Korean restaurant. I arrived at 11:30 pm at night and had to wait 15 minutes because every single table was occupied by hungry Koreans! Prices are fair, ranging from economical to expensive.

GET READY FOR CRAPPY SERVICE & FOBBY SERVERS! when I lived in gwinnett, korean BBQ was a frequent stop for me. this was one of the places. I've always had mediocre/decent service here.. 'til one unfortunate night.. came here after work and it was only about 10pm. this is a 24 hr restaurant, so their service shouldn't get worse as the day gets later. the servers here are all women. like I said before, they're all super fobby (look it up on urbandict, if you don't kno). I just attempted to pronounce the korean words correctly and mostly point. I just dreaded everytime one of them spoke. it was just nowhere close to english and the tone was just awful. they were always so snappy, rude, and loud! they get so mad at you when you try to cook your own meat. like really? you get mad about having to come over and cook.. yet you also get mad when I try to make it easier for you~ oh here's the best part. when we were done & handed the bill... we paid our part and left our tip. keep in mind that we had a horrific time and the service was one of the most awful ones I've had. therefore, you can get an idea of how we tipped. we didn't leave them empty handed though.. just not the 18-20% that they THOUGHT they were going to receive. so we were finally treated nicely since we were leaving & gave them our $$ already. we were just minding our businesses and walking to our cars, when a waitress runs out rapidly towards us. she runs out to our car and HOLDS OUT BOTH her hands like some beggar.. and DEMANDS more tip!! she even had the audacity to tell us the EXACT amount that we NEED to tip! I was so appalled.. and angry.. I told her that the service was terrible and her tip was already on the table; nothing more....went into the car and drove away.
(1)Mindy R.
So the foods pricey, but its good. Feels fancy compared to the other Korean BBQ down the street. Service is okay. I like the upstairs dining (only for large parties) because you can see an overview of Duluth. Very pretty. Just another upscale Korean restaurant.
(4)Zach H.
I ended up here with a group of friends after a night on the town. From what I can remember, the food was pretty good. What's better is that it's open 24-hours. Any Korean place that never closes automatically gets brownie points in my book. We ordered several things... Duk Bae Gi Bulgogi (Bulgogi Soup), Doenjang Jjigae (Spicy Bean Paste Soup), Naeng Myun (Korean Cold Noodles), and Dumplings. The Bulgogi Soup was, by far, my favorite of the things we ordered. I could eat that stuff everyday. The dumplings and Spicy Bean Paste Soup came in tied for a close 2nd place. It was all-around great Korean comfort food. Overall - the service was really lacking, but the good food definitely made up for that. I think the next time I come here, I'll probably have to be incoherent again for no other reason than to be able to overlook the poor service.

This is my very first yelp rating because I have to rate...his place is crappy Their food taste like crap. They won't let you return or exchange even if you're unhappy.they give false advertisement. All they care about is.money and not the wellbeing of the customers. Don't ever go.here . They are just straight up crap. If I could rate them with a negative I would very well.do so.

Myung Ga Won is beyond convenient. A multi-floor complex with comfortable booth seating, right next to i85, and open 24 hours a day! To me; this is a three star place. But, since I can come here for breakfast, I am adding a star. For anyone that has watched the drama Shining Inheritance, MGW looks almost identical to the restaurant that is featured. Which also happens to be a Sol Long Tang place. While the sign on the front of the building denotes in English that they are a "Korean BBQ" restaurant, the interior logos note in hangul that they are a "Sol-nong-tang" joint. So, I come here for breakfast and destroy some silky beef bone broth, packed with an abundance of sliced tender beef. So far, this is my favorite Sol-long-tang soup in the area... yes, even better than the place up in Suwanee. Sure, they are open 24 hours a day. However, not all menu items are available at all times, we don't live in a perfect world by any means. So--- if it is summer, and I want bibim naeng myun for breakfast, it is just not happening. Why can't someone in the kitchen whip together some cold noodles for me? It is either because the ajumma hates me, or someone really cannot make noodles when I want them. The breakdown: 1. Don't order BBQ here 2. It is a Sol Long Tang joint. --- You will need to add your own coarse salt and green onion to this dish. Season it to your taste. 3. Their Kkak Du Gi (cubed spicy radish panchan) is the bomb. 4. Not all dishes are available 24 hours a day. 5. Atlanta needs a BiBim Naeng Myun restaurant that just serves Naeng Myun at all times during the summer. Someone open one please! 6. There is hot pepper paste on the table for a reason. 7. The 2nd best item is their soft tofu stew, but don't expect anything exceptional. You will need to ask for egg, because it will not be given to you. 8. Eat breakfast here, and the eat somewhere better for lunch and dinner. Or, you can just go to the Waffle House or Mcd's next door.

BUG ON FOOD! I ordered today and chewed cockroach. The restaurant never apologized and said the bug should have somehow landed on my food. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.

The typical come here and eat after a night of clubbing. Place has good food but not for the price.
(3)J S.
Most Korean bbq places have unlimited meat, found out I spent 60 bucks for seven pieces of meat. Don't come here, every other place is cheaper, better food, and unlimited. Never been dooped so bad before, jokes on me
(1)J L.
This place was just disappointing. The waitress was nice but I can tell they were understaffed. We ordered two portions of galbi and fried dumplings. Both dishes were mediocre. Beef was kind of blend and tough and fried dumplings were not crispy enough and the ingredients did not taste good. And they were very pricey. There are many better Korean restaurants in the area so this would be the last time to try this place.
(2)Thanh Thuy P.
for their late night availability and for the waitresses to be so patient with drunken 4am customers, i def have to give myung ga won 5 stars. the tofu soup is pretty good and they have the standard side dishes, everything you might crave at any hour you crave it along with great service i don't think theres more i could ask for!

I've been working for a large Korean company for over a year now and have yet to eat any Korean food (although some co-workers regularly bring some in for lunch from home). This was my first trip to experience Korean cuisine. So, I'm going to preface this review by stating that I have nothing else to compare it to :) We came here with one of my Korean co-workers who ordered for us. So, we started our meal with the Seafood pancakes. This was probably my favorite of the entire meal and I wish we had ordered more than just one! Yum!! We did the BBQ, which is neat. There's a little grill in the middle of the table and your server will cook the meat there. For meats we had the marinated Galbi. I'm told that this restaurant has one of the best Galbi in town. I really enjoyed it as well. Along with the meat, we got about 10 or so small side dishes with various Kimchi. I didn't care too much for the "original kimchi", but there was one with spinach that was quite tasty. Most of my fellow diners were big fans of the bean taste, but I preferred eating the meat without it. The service was not the best, but thankfully our Korean friend was not shy to yell for our server across the restaurant. And in emergencies, there was a bell at the side of our table to get their attention. What a great idea!! All in all, I think this was a great way to get introduced to Korean BBQ and I will definitely have to have some more soon!

First time writing a review on yelp, but I had to let you guys know. This restaurant used to be alright a few years ago, but it is completely different now. This is the worst quality beef I've ever eaten at a korean restaurant. You can smell and taste the raw fat that is associated with undercooked or low quality fish and meat. I'm not sure if it's just their joomooluk which I've tried twice in the past year to give them a chance, but I would honestly rather buy some filet mignon at kroger or even some thinly sliced pork belly at Assi or Megamart rather than eat at this place.
(1)Kristen C.
I love that this place is 24 hours! We've been here a few times when we crave korean food when all regular places are closed. The galbi here is pretty good! I've also had the kimchi jigae and bibimbop- The food here isn't bad, and the servers are usually pretty good. A little pricey than some of the places in Duluth, but it is 24 hours.

-This place is another option for a late night eat. I love the decor and atmosphere of this place, its so nice and kinda feels like I'm in Korea. I can't comment much on other items on the menu because I always get the soondobu here. I have tried their ko

While the service was not the friendliest the food more than made up for it. I enjoyed it very very much- just wish it wasn't quite so expensive so it could be a regular part of our restaurant rotation experience.

This place was beautiful inside! Modern looking and clean. We ordered 3 meat entrees and the waitress grilled it for us. There were LOTS of delicious side dishes. I haven't even tried most of them before but they were all delicious. The waitresses were extremely nice and efficient!

According to my Korean "friend", Min Y., Myung Ga Won is actually a chain originally from Korea. There are only 2 locations in the US, the other one is in L.A. The nice ambiance startled me bc I didn't know Min Y. ate at nice places. I'd say this is one of the nicer looking Korean restaurants in the A, especially for a 24 hr one. There's an upstairs and downstairs dining area. The upstairs area is primarily for large parties who want bbq. Apparently, there's a minimum of 3 bbq orders for them to use the grill. I recommend coming with a large group unless you're ballin'. I enjoyed the bbq we had here. The meat is a bit better than some other restaurants. However, you better savor every bite because this ain't all-you-can-eat! I totally digged the banchan here. I'm sure they rotate their banchan selections, but I had the pleasure of enjoying the nokdomuk, or the jelly looking thingys (one of my faaaavorite), mung bean kimchi, potato/apple salad, kimchi, pickled daikon, among a handful of other dishes. This restaurant offers more banchan than most other places and they're definitely better quality. That's probably the most outstanding thing about this place for me. In addition to the banchan, we also go tofu and kimchi broth with our bbq. They do have an expansive selection of soups. I recommend them all. why not. Just kidding, I had the beef tendon soup. It's pure tendons, so it might be overload for some people. The soup also had enoki shrooms in it. Don't take it personally if a server snaps at you. The vents here are good; they're not loud. They'll split checks for you, but don't get fancy and try to add tip before the charge because it confuses the servers and they'll freak out at you.

There are two choices for the restaurant. One is non-BBQ, and another is the BBQ. We chose the BBQ style and were ushered to the second floor. The environment is ok, --separate rooms for different parties. However the food is ridiculously expensive. Two pieces of beef is ~$30 (much less than a longhorn 12oz ribeye beef). Me and my girlfriend needed to order 3 of those to be able to feel full. It's just too expensive for the BBQ beef for which I can get the similar quality but 1/3 of its price. Besides, the service is really bad. I guess non-korean people will have a hard time dining in.

Absolutely best Korean BBQ in Atlanta. Loved the banchan kalbi and nangmyun. The meal was so good we will be going back for more.

Well, I am not really all that qualified to give critique on this place (not that THAT has ever stopped me before), But, I have never tried Korean food at all...so I thought I'd give it a shot. First of all, the food I ordered, a rib eye, marinated and cut paper thin was not something I would eat again. Now, this is not to imply that the food was not authentic and/or properly prepared. Just not something I liked. My main problem is that I felt mis-treated by the staff. I simply do not believe that the 20-something ladies working there do not speak English well enough to answer my questions about the food and the plethora of side dished which came with my meal. I might be wrong on this point... but I doubt it.

the food is very delicious and fresh and service is so sweet and awesome =) i will come back again!!!! best restaurant in k-town!

This place has the worst service in the whole wide world. They never once smiled at us, and we had to get out of our booth every single time to ask about the menu, for water, etc. They didn't even talk to us. They treated the korean people that were there, so much nicer to them, then to us. They smiled at them, and actually talked to them while they never said a word to us. I definitely would not recommend this to anyone. The food overall was O.K. I would've gave them a $1 tip, but we gave them a $6 tip instead. It would help a little if they actually knew their meals, and knew how to explain them. This place is very expensive. We ordered some spicy soup, and it was so small for $10. The only person nice in there was the cashier. She actually knew the food, knew english, and was actually nice, and smiled.

Came here after kicking nearby Seo Ra Beol to the curb after receiving horrible reservation and seating services there. We moved our party of 7 to your establishment. You guys are a little better but only by a small margin. It was pretty much POOR service from beginning of our meal to end. Look, you have a nice setting with decent food but your service is pretty AWFUL. We were on the second floor on a Saturday night and you were NOT busy. However, you managed to screw it up because most of our waitresses were rude and lacked proper service etiquette. It is NOT okay to pass out your small plates like cards by sliding them across the table. It is NOT okay to put your knee up on a chair as you are taking our order. It is NOT okay to just refill one tea cup when we ask for a refill of tea. Just open your eyes and look at all the empty or near empty cups on the table next time before walking out after only filling one cup; that will save us the laughter in amazement of such poor aptitude. But, to your credit, when we ask for the bill you promptly returned with it. You also promptly returned to take our bill to the cashier/register. And, you also promptly returned with the credit card slip. And, finally, you also promptly returned to take away the signed credit card slip. Wow-oh-wow, you managed to show your face four times to us in a matter of minutes WITHOUT any call for service. But...I hate to say it, your waitresses require a lot more proper training. Not showing your face without a service request throughout the meal but constantly showing your face when it comes time to paying the bill is a MAJOR NO-NO!! I don't want to be served by waitresses who are only VULTURES TO MONEY. Take pride in your work! To boot, the kalbi is EXPENSIVE and small in portion and mediocre quality. Ordered other non-BBQ entrees and it was meh. Pass. Will not return.

This place is like the granddaddy of Korean BBQ places in metro Atlanta. It's a huge restaurant with seating on two levels. Upstairs has several large private rooms and this is where I've ended up on several occasions. The table service at Myung Ga Won is quite good. The banchan spread is large and high quality. Meals come with soup and after-dinner treats. The servers are friendly and willing to help non-Koreans navigate through the variety of options. The meat is great! Make sure you come hungry, you're going to leave sweating garlic, gochujang and beef/pork through your pores...and you'll be happy about it! This place is pricey, come prepared to drop some dough...but you'll get the experience you pay for!

I'm too white to correctly pronounce the name of this place, but i'm not too rich to know when I'm paying way too much for Korean BBQ. Now I know this isn't all-you-can eat BBQ where the cuts of meat are cheap and you give up amazing meat in exchange for a great price... but this isn't a five star restaurant either. In a large group, we ordered 3 rounds of meat (1 marinated and 2 sans) with all the sides and fixins' that come standard, a beer each and a round of soju. The tastiest side was the pancake, which was gone after one round and supposedly "no longer available". The meat itself was very tasty and the rest of the sides were standard as any other Korean BBQ place. At the end of the meal we were left somewhat satisfied but definitely not full- I could've kept eating, had dessert or another round of meat. However without tip, the bill came around to $60ish per person. WTF? Although decent, the meal was not worthy of the price and I really felt like I was getting robbed here. Based on this fact alone I would not venture here again for fear of getting price-punched, or maybe I'll have to find an English-speaking server that can tell me straight-up what to expect. Shady.
(3)Andrew D.
Pretty darn solid BBQ, and really good high quality exhaust makes this a solid KBBQ place. Poor service, and a bit higher prices knocks the review down to 3 stars. We had Kalbi on the bone and Kalbi sliced off the bone. Both were very good, even if fairly small portions. Very high quality meat. I'll be back to try it again, but with so many other options, probably will not be in a rush.

I love this place. They are opened 24 hours! I've been here many times. I've done BBQ grill each time, except once. It looks like it has two floors, but I've never been upstairs. I've always visit after 10pm. The place is very clean, spacious, brightly lit. I think they give a lot of good side dishes such as kimchi. The side dishes varies each time you go there. The server cooks the meat right in front of you on the grill and cuts the meat also. There's been a time that one of the servers gave us spicy tofu soup, free of charge. They are really nice, however, they don't speak much English. I've also tried their spicy beef tofu soup. It goes well with the rice that comes with it. It's good to have on cold, winter nights and warms you up quickly. The Korean BBQ spare/short ribs are also good here. It is served on a hot plate with white onions and chopped green shallots. It is a must order Korean dish.

I want to give this place more stars, but don't they understand we are in a recession and you can't be charging us an arm and leg for dinner? I've been here a couple of times, the decor is nice, the service on point and the food pretty good. It's just soooo expensive compared to other Korean BBQ places that this place never comes to mind when discussing dinner options; especially when it is right across the street from iron age and sun and moon.
(2)Dio S.
This is a spacious place that looks very much like a chain restaurant. Every time I ate at Myun Ga Won had been because it was 3AM and I wasn't feeling Hae Woon Dae. The banchans are so so. I can easily think of a handful of Korean restaurants with better to much better side dishes. The DSB3 is decent but uninspiring, and the gut stew is disappointing. Normally I like gut stew, but the version here is way too bland (I've had it twice, with the same problem), that it required very liberal addition of the table salt to make passable. The best dish to me is the bulgogi vermicelli soup. A little too sweet but very tasty broth and good amount of meat, not too expensive either. Overall it's probably 2.5 stars bumped up to 3 for its convenient hours. At normal dinner hours there are better options.
(3)Brian K.
Hungry for Korean food late at night? Although the food here is not bad, the complaints start with their service. Their service is atrocious. If it weren't for them being open 24 hours a day, I would probably never even consider eating here. Drinks are never refilled unless asked for, the staff is no where to be seen unless you call them over, and their limit to one refill in side dishes is just stingy. With all that said, their (a beef dish served hot in a large pot with an assortment of vegetables, spices, and rice noodles) is one of the better ones I have tasted in Atlanta.

Wow - with all the disparaging reviews I have been writing lately, this is almost like a breath of fresh air! Came here with 2 buddies of mine last night - we had raided Super H Mart on Pleasant Hill for their half-priced cold noodles, but since there was no meat in the noodles, we decided to bring them home to the wives, and go to Myung Ga Won for dinner instead! I got the beef and tofu galbi combo. Both of my other buddies got the cabbage with beef rib soup. Their side dishes were okay - not the best I've had, but pretty good. Their bean sprouts were good, and their pickled radish kimchi was better than the cabbage kimchi, and their potato salad was quite tasty. 3.5/5 The beef and tofu soup is good - really good. Strong beef flavored broth, with a little kick, and just very VERY comforting on a cold COLD night! perfect with the white rice too! 4.5/5 Also, the galbi came out sizzling on its hot plate, and tasted just as good as it smelled. juicy, fatty, tender, flavorful. 4.5/5 My only complaint is that I wish the serving sizes were bigger! Well - maybe that's also why I, being Chinese, am gaining weight - and most of my Korean friends are still skinny. LOL

I really want to give this place more stars but I am unable to do so due to the horrible service I received here (twice). I understand if the restaurant is busy that service will not be up to par however both times the restaurant was nearly empty and the waitresses were still terrible. It took 15 minutes to get our order taken, 10 minutes to get our drinks, zero water refills, and multiple button presses to get the attention of the waitresses. I can't remember much about the food except the tofu soup was a bit on the sour side and not so flavorful and the bulgogi was a bit too sweet. 1 star for being open 24 hours and having food that is edible.

When I arrived here around 8:30PM, the hostess asked if we were looking for Korean BBQ or regular food. We were just looking for some regular food so she took the menus went to a table threw the menus down and continued walking. She never stopped and said nothing to us. What I really enjoy is the decor of the place. Many restaurants tend to over look this important part. The place seems a little on the fancier side but I saw people wear flip flops, sweatpants, pajamas, so wear whatever you want! We had ordered the L.A spare ribs and some sort of Ground Beef. Our waitress was very nice but don't expect many english speakers. We had a hard time understanding what she was saying. Something to watch for! Our food came out with several different side dishes. A salad, kimichi, seaweed and some other item which I was unable to identify but didn't taste bad. The food was not bad but some what expensive for me anyways. I didn't feel stuffed and I wasn't very pleased. By the end of dinner and wanting the check, I did a test to see if anyone would come and check up on us. A couple times I would look around looking to see if anyone would notice us looking some what lost and needing of assistance. I made eye contact with someone working at the front table and my waitress. No one ever came. We ended up having the press the button asking for the check. It's not a big deal but it says something about customer service. There is a slight chance I'd come back. Customer service is a large importance to me and they didn't leave a very good impression.

Disappointing with a capital D. We ordered just two dishes - "galbi" (marinated beef short ribs) & "o-jing-uh-bokeum" (spicy stir-fried squid), and both had zero flavor. I'm not exaggerating. First the galbi - this restaurant touts itself as a Korean BBQ restaurant. Naturally you'd expect the galbi to be one of their best dishes. But the galbi had zero marinade flavor & zero seasoning. We paid $19.95 for what the menu described as "marinated boneless beef short rib" but the galbi fell short 100%. I think meat tastes gross when there's no flavor. The o-jing-uh-bokeum was super bland, too. It had a slight rancid taste, too. I'm just hoping I don't wake up feeling sick tomorrow morning. $11.95 also down the drain. Banchan selection was pretty poor but at least they were more flavorful than our food. I do want to call out the potato salad covered w/ something that looked like cheddar cheese but tasted very sweet ... turns out it was pumpkin. Points for trying to offer something "different" but wasn't too crazy about that combo. Service was lacking, too - they just showed up to take our order, bring the banchan, and bring our food. Oh - and they brought our check before we even finished eating. Drink refills - yeah, never happened. The only good things I can say - restaurant space is nice. Kinda fancy compared to other Korean restaurants in Atlanta. 2 floors - upstairs is the BBQ. Lady at the hotel-looking front reception desk was very friendly, too. Also, prices are reasonable - I'd heard from others about how their food is really pricey but it's comparable to other Korean restaurants ... of course you're not getting the quality though. FYI - outside restaurant sign doesn't say "Myung Ga Won" in English. Only English words are "24 hour Korean BBQ". Just make sure you're in the "Monarch Hall Banquet Hall" strip mall, and restaurant is on the far left side.

I wish there was a less than one button. Growing up in Gwinnett, I have become well versed in Korean cuisine. Maybe it was the time of night that we visited, maybe there was a bad chef that night but this food was absolutely horrendous. I ordered the bulgogi my friend had chicken teriyaki. My bulgolgi was over cooked and extremely greasy like I had used a pile of napkins to blot the oil from the meat. The side dishes were the best thing. My friends teriyaki tasted disgusting like straight soya sauce and sugar. After this experience I will definitely not he returning ever. The quality of food for this place is targeted for late night drunks returning from Atlanta after a night of partying who just want something to eat. It. was very over priced. We spent 40$ on bulgogi, chicken teriyaki, dumplings, and a can of coke. NEVER AGAIN!

Love this place. The food is delicious and I have some phases where I would come in every day for a week. I'm pretty sure they know my face well by now. Only thing that I don't like is that some of the older ladies have stank faces and stank attitudes. But that's kind of a problem with a lot of Korean restaurants. It's also a little pricey but everything is of higher quality than the other restaurants around.

I've eaten here 3 times already. Two times I can't remember but there are pictures of me just grubbin' out (it *IS* open 24 hours after all), the third time I dined with my parents and sister. I remember they gave out these raw crab pieces COVERED in red, semi spicy sauce as a side dish. It was ABSOLUTELY delicious. Yes, I said RAW CRAB. I grabbed a piece and just ripped into it. I'm not sure if it's my weird fetish for raw things (raw fish, raw aka extremely rare meat, raw anything) but this crab dish was just soooo good! For an appetizer, we also ordered this raw ground beef dish. I really wish I remembered the names, but that's all that I can describe from it. I freaked out at first but my sister insisted on me trying it. So I did. Raw beef = 2 thumbs up. The soup is subpar. I didn't really think much of it because the broth seemed a bit bland to me. The meat was pretty delicious. I just kept going back for seconds, thirds, fourths, until I was so stuffed I really couldn't eat anymore without bursting.

Cabbage Galbitang- you must order this. I don't care if there's MSG. This tastes so good. I can't believe I'm giving out another 5....

I've only had Korean BBQ 4 times prior to this and I must say this place ranks at the bottom of my experiences. Like others have said, the service is bad. But I could live with that if the food was better.. And it wasn't. Asking for help ordering was no good so we ended up getting a beef dish and a soup and dumplings. Things tasted pretty over salted because the flavors were bland. Maybe we didn't order the right things but we ordered the "suggestions" by the waitress. The food ended up doing a number on my stomach the rest of that night. I've had Korean BBQ in Korea Town in LA before, so I had a good idea of what the standard was and this place just fell short. On a brighter note...the 70s chic interior looked pretty kewl.

Well, well, well. After all my Yelp bitching about my high standards for korean food, I think I finally found the place in Atlanta that I can refer people to with confidence. Myung Ga Won is apparently a restaurant chain in korea that branched out to america. Never heard of it myself, but how can I resist potentially bashing a korean BBQ place? No such luck this day... We walked in and the layout was very nice. Almost like i'm walking into a hotel actually, since many of the places are private rooms for large groups of people. We requested korean BBQ (separate from normal tables) and were seated upstairs. The place is very clean, very nice, and the "regular" BBQ tables can seat 6. You can also request private rooms for larger parties. As soon as we sat down, they brought us a huge array of banchan (side dishes), and I dug in. I have to say, my biggest knock on korean restaurants in atlanta is the lack of quality side dishes, but this place brought it strong. I'd say something around 20 side dishes and all of them very tasty. One thing you have to note is that you have to mention if you want white rice... no additional cost for the rice, but they don't bring it out unless you request it. We got marinated galbi and unmarinated, and they were both very high quality. Basically, I was in korean food heaven the whole time. It's good. Oh, and as is typical of most korean bbq places, you have to place 2 orders for BBQ no matter how big your group is. A common complaint about korean restaurants is the poor service. I have found this to be true in atlanta (read previous korean restaurant reviews of mine), but this place was very nice. I had 2-3 waitresses constantly checking up on me (but not intrusively) and they were very very nice and polite. However, I could tell that they did not speak any english... so perhaps the language barrier might be difficult and come off as rude to non-korean speaking customers. Since I can speak it, I don't have that perspective... they were nice to me at least. The ONLY knock on this place is the price. It is very, very expensive (20 bucks each dish)... but I guess you get what you pay for. It was expensive, but high quality and I brought my appetite hardcore and left satisfied. The combination of the numerous side dishes plus the decently large portions of meat led to a great dining experience. I will DEFINITELY be back here. Only knocking it down 1 star because it's expensive, but other than that, I highly recommend the place.

Fish cakes, fish cakes, flat and fishy fish cakes. Fish cakes, fish cakes, eat them up, YUM! If you ever are blessed to work with two wonderful Korean guys who take an avid interest in sharing their culture's culinary delights like me, by all means, have them take you to Korean BBQ. It's something you should try just once. I had just such an opportunity, and a group of us from work made the long trek to Gwinnett County to eat at Myung Ga Won. The place was quiet for lunch -- a few other business lunches appeared to be going on downstairs. Our group's Korean spokesperson asked for a special room upstairs for Korean BBQ. A few minutes of waiting later, and we were led up a very steep staircase into a similar looking dining room. At the back, we were led down a hallway with wood paneling that COULD have been ripped out of James Bond's "You Only Live Twice." Our hostess opened one of the numbered doors and led us into a similarly wood paneled room with a tiny BBQ oven inset in a table surrounded by chairs. Overhead, a large fire suppression equipped range hood. We took our seats. At this point, words were exchanged in Korean that meant nothing to us, and the hostess departed. A few minutes later, drink orders were taken, and, again, our wait staff disappeared. At this point, I took a moment to contemplate the "B" health department rating I saw downstairs and immediately tried to put it out of my mind. I wanted to enjoy this experience. Even if it wrecked my wee little stomach. We got drinks and flatware, including stainless steel chopsticks (kewl). We were chatting so much about the decor and the cool little room that we failed to inquire as to what my co-worker, Jae, had ordered for us. He told us we were getting Korean BBQ ribs for about $20/person. Wait...what?! This was a little bit of a surprise, but he could've also ordered BBQ versions of tripe, intestines, and scarier things off the menu. We let it slide, 'cause we were here for the experience. And what an experience it was. The waitress slowly filled two sides of the table with all manner of dishes. Squid, salad with spicy dressing, squares of fish cakes, kimchi, and more. There was enough on either side of the table for two people to share. The fifth person in our party (Joe, my other Korean co-worker) had ordered something vegetarian and skipped most of the things sitting in front of us. I loved the salad with the very spicy dressing, and I tried some sort of potato salad as well. I never tried the squid or the kimchi -- Joe ruined the latter for me by reminding us all what it was -- rotten cabbage. Dang it. I couldn't put it out of my mind. maybe next time. At some point while we were sampling all this stuff, the waitress brought a platter of raw rib meat and set it between me and another guy. It was cut thin, and she spent 10 minutes trimming it into tiny little strips that she placed on the electric grill in the center of the table. She would come back every few minutes to turn and cut the finished meat and put it on the edge of the grill for us to pick at. She repeated the process 2 more times before all the raw meat at my left elbow was gone. The meat wasn't very fatty, but it still was very tasty. I tried it with some hot sauce that we had as well as some soy sauce. In addition to the side dishes, we were also offered a bowl of white or brown rice. I ordered the brown rice and immediately regretted it. It was purple, and full of testicle-like beans. That was just freaky. I had to get the white rice. It had less of an earthy flavor and more just like plain rice. That's all I wanted. Towards the end of the meal, I realized two things. First, the hot soup that I was sharing with Jae was like a super spicy curry would've gone horribly with the purple-not-brown-gonad-bean rice. Secondly, I was the only person at the table that had taken a liking to the fish cakes. I ate nearly two plates worth -- 50 pieces! WTF?! As I pondered the last fish cake on the table (everyone else had stopped eating 10 minutes before), I thought about my first Korean BBQ experience. It was a cool thing to do, albeit a little expensive. I couldn't wait to come back and try it again with a little more food bravery under my belt. And I was very thankful for Joe and Jae for guiding us to one of the best team lunches we'd ever had. By the way, I didn't eat the last fish cake. I'm a pig, but even pigs have their limits. Next time. With kimchi. Shhhh! Don't tell me what it is!

The best Gal Bi Tang I've had so far, still haven't had anything better! That's really the only thing I order here...but my family has ordered plenty of other dishes and it's always been good. The typical korean prices....expensive....and same decor...same service...

This place is da bomb... We've been here about 3 times, and everytime we've been very pleased with the food. The tofu soups (soondubu) are super flavorful and have no jalapeno peppers, nor do they skimp on the goods that go in the soups (be it seafood or mushrooms, depending on what you order). We also tried the beef (galbi) soup with cabbage. That soup was also very flavorful and homey- reminds me of what a Korean mom would make (not that I'd know because I'm not Korean...but just imagining). The soup/jigae also had 4 huge pieces of beef-- that's awesome!! We ordered the seafood pancake too, but that was the only meh part of the meal. It wasn't crispy enough, and the dipping sauce was a little too sour. But we'll definitely be back. I think this is quickly becoming our favorite Korean place in ATL. Too bad it's not closer to Decatur :)

I went here with my folks and my boyfriend because his favorite thing is sullongtang. As soon as I tasted mine it taste like it had cream or milk in it. Apparently it is customary for some places to put coffee mate in their soups to give it that signature white broth that's supposed to come from bone marrow. My dad didn't taste the cream flavor and my boyfriend didn't either. My mom thought the same thing I did though. Kinda makes sense because we were the two at the table that actually cook. I could be wrong about the addition of cream flavoring, but that's what my taste buds thought. My dad did say that it wasn't as good as it was when he had it during the week. Maybe the kitchen staff was different that day? We went on a Sunday. They weren't very busy, but steady. The banchan was ok. The service was slow. But the restaurant's seating is roomy and comfy. My mom's bibim naengmyun was pretty good. All in all really not bad. It was just okay. No major complaints, no raves either.

Service is super inconsistent. Food good, but not significantly better than many other options. Good if you need a larger menu.

My family and I have gone here last night to celebrate my birthday. This place is big and has two floors unlike other Korean places. The atmosphere is nice and interiors are classy. HOWEVER, when it comes to 1. Service- there's one lady who was super rude. I didn't get her name cos it was spelled in Korean. If she doesn't understand customers, she shouldn't just walk away. There was a huge language barrier. I'm not judging her, just the way she acted. 2. Food- EXPENSIVE!! I've had better kbbqs before and had it for a lot less. Not coming back. Sorry.

This place sucks so freaking bad! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE service and not too mention that they ONLY favor their own kind (Koreans). All they care about is money. They don't know how to serve for shit and expect us to tip cause they're stupid as hell. They weren't even busy and couldn't even refill our water at all. Not once have they asked us if we were doing okay or not. But wait, they did great service for whomever was Korean or spoke Korean. We rang the bell twice and they didn't even come to us at all; mind you, they weren't busy at all. Ugh..........FUCK THIS PLACE and the server Jin Lee.

When I hear the words "24 hours" its like whispering sweet nothings in my ear. Its very decent and clean. Its located behind the McDonalds, across from Mozart. Its fairly new, built within the last 5-6 years or so. Its 2 level, although I've only been on the 1st floor. Its well decorated and modern compared to other Korean restaurants. On the weekends after a certain time you can see some faux k-gangsters in here, also some drunk middle age people who probably were at the NRB (karaoke) too long. Last time I got a to go order and saw approximately half the place was non koreans. haha poor ahjumas have to try to speak english :( I see a lot of people are feeling uncomfortable about the staff at korean restaurants. I understand because I feel alienated at other restaurants where I don't speak the language. I hope this doesn't negatively impact your experience. actually they are just probably feeling inadequate or frustrated themselves from communication barrier. Just try to be friendly, use hand motions, and point. Maybe research a little before you go. FYI They have a little button on the table you can use to call your waitress over, or sometimes I just wave to get their attention. Its a little different from American service. Not all Korean restaurants are like that, some are more attentive than others, but some will assume that you don't need anything if you don't try to get their attention. Soon dubu aka tofu soup is fine, nothing amazing or terrible. It really hits the spot though! Yukgaejang (spicy beef stew/soup) was good also. Apparently its called something else, silly korean dialects. She gave us plenty of banchan and the gakdugee (radish kim chee) was good, sour and spicy. baechu kimchi, and something else. I don't even remember the other banchan, all I wanted was the gakdugee. Of course the down side to take out is no endless supply of banchan. It seems like they are being a little western, charging for extra ban chan. I think I saw a sign in the front. Plus its close to the hwy for a quick stop so I could run in and out and get home. Total I paid 18.98 plus a few dollars tip for takeout on 2 entrees and a whole bunch of banchan. Not bad at all.

They have great tender beef although their prices are little higher than others! It's opened 24 hours. That's really convenience. Nice decor. The only thing I don't really like was SERVICE. The waitress served our table was ok but not the hostess (I thought she's the boss??) She just showed customers "poker face" most of the time. When we left, she didn't say anything such as thank you or bye. I was like... even though your food is good, you should have good mannar to welcome customers.

Good Korean food and it's open 24 hours, what else is there to say. I just wish it was closer to my side of town.

Korean barbeque in a modern setting... and 24 hours! Huge, clean and very new feeling space where you can get your korean foodie fix with bbq and also a variety of noodle dishes and more. The usual kimchee to start and a sort of dessert rice drink they give you to polish it off. Soups and noodles are reasonably priced around 10 or so bucks, and many of the bbq dishes for two are under 30. If only it was closer. But if you get a insatiable meat craving at 4 a.m., the drive up to Duluth will be all the shorter.

I guess I would've rated it higher, but since I was there with a very large party, the food and service was not a 4 star rating. FOOD: I had the bibin nengmyun, which is buckwheat noodle mixed with hot and spicy sauce. This had a touch of spiciness and sweetness, but just enough flavor to give it a good taste. This came with an order of kalbi, which is marinated short rib barbequed/grilled with the bones still in tact. This was very fatty and little rib on the bone. The food all came in spurts, so some ppl were eating while others were waiting. At the end of the meal, we got the complimentary shikhye which was okay. It seemed watered down with very little rice in it. Overall, it was ok. I may give it another try.

Apparently I'm not ordering the correct dishes. I've been here 4 times and always order something called jeongol. Its a pot of broth in which noodles, veggies, and meats are cooked in front of you like shabu or hot pot over a gas burner. I've tried the beef and mushroom 3x and the beef and octopus (spicy broth) 1x. They are about $30 and intended to serve 2 people although it's large enough for 3 adults or 2 adults and a child (us). I usually end up here around 2-3AM so I'm giving the 3rd star for being able to find decent food at that hour. After a night of heavy drinking I recommend the beef and mushroom jungal to share with someone. It isn't spicy, comes with clear noodles, lots of beef and vairous mushrooms, and has a very comforting flavor like beef stew. The octopus+beef comes with udon noodles and spicy broth and more greens than mushrooms and way more octopus than beef. I didn't like this one because the broth and each bite ended up very fishy, and the octopus was pretty tough/chewy. I'm quite used to squid and octopus but this was the fishiest octopus ever. I probably would have loved it if it were baby octopus rather than a huge octopus but oh well. I believe both broths have a decent amount of MSG though which I keep forgetting to ask if they can exclude. Whenever I go everyone is asian and they get personal clay pots or metal bowls of something? Next time I'll either try those or sit at in the grill table section. This place does serve my favorite banchans although I've only been to 4-5 korean restaurants in the area. Usually they gives us about 6-7 of them. Fishcakes, mashed potato, collard green, and acorn cakes are my favorites. They change everytime and this time no mashed potatoes but the collards and another green veggie with something like feta were interesting.

There was a slight language barrier with the waitress so ordering was a bit of a hassle. We decided on the pancake (#4) which had nice crispy edges and two orders of the boneless marinated beef (#36). The marbled beef was good and there was a decent selection of small dishes but nothing particularly crave worthy. The sweet rice drink at the end was a nice finish. I like that it's open 24 hours, but I think I prefer other places.

I am writing for Korean people by Korean. This place reminds me of actual "korean located" resturant. Place seems clean and distintive with orange/wood colors. I am not too impressed with service nor food here. It's definitely designed for people who doesn't know or care about how Korean food should be tasting. I couldn't think of one dish I liked here... Korean side dish is worst part of all.. It almost seems that manager/owner dosn't care about taste at all. For those who wants something special...this is not the one you should go. This place is 24hr open....so sometimes I go here but disappoint me everytime.

This is a Korean restaurant located in Duluth that is open 24 hours. It is a very convenient place to go if you have late night cravings. Additionally, the restaurant is very clean, and the wait staff is efficient with the "waiter bells" When I want "Sulungtang" (a beef broth with beef brisket, mushroom, scallions, etc.), this is the place to go. This restaurant's version of this soup is the way Korean restaurants in Korea make. This place's Sulungtang is better than Bonga or any other restaurants in Atlanta. The soup is filled with flavor and the meat is very fresh. All the ingredients used for this dish is very clean, fresh, and refreshing. I definitely recommend this dish if people visit this restaurant. The spicy garbi jjim (Spicy Beef) which feeds two to three people is pretty good. It's not your typical or traditional garbi jjim. It is this restaurant's interpretation of the traditional dish. I haven't met anyone who did not like this dish. It's spicy, meaty, and filled with other good ingredients such as chestnuts, noodles, mushrooms, and etc. I also recommend this dish if people want to share food. One dish that I do not suggest getting in this restaurant is the spicy tofu soup. This dish is not their forte nor specialty. If you want this dish, then you should go to Well Bean or Jang Su Jang. I would stay away from this dish in this restaurant. The Stone Pot Bibimbob (vegetables, beef, egg, rice, and etc. in stone pot) is a good healthy dish that this restaurant offers. It's light and very healthy. Additionally, it is low in calories. You can control the spice by modifying the red chili paste on the side. The Stone Pot Bulgogi is a good hearty dish. It has the exact same flavor that the Korean BBQ contains, but this is boiled, instead of fried. It has a lot of juice, and people mix this with rice. If you are looking for a hearty dish, this is one. The restaurant also offers Korean BBQ, and the restaurant cook the meat in the middle built in grills for you. Of course, you have your side dishes. Their side dishes are great, and the venue can hold large parties for any type of occasions. Overall, this is a good restaurant to go to at anytime of the day. You can take you dates here or your significant others. I wouldn't call this place a date place if your date is Asian.

Got a chance to check this place out because I was in the area. I will say that the service was quite good and quick while they were busy around dinner time. The banchan was decent, but nothing to write home about. Ive had better in other places around duluth. As always, I got the galbi and I was happy with the dish. This place being 24 hours really makes it worth your while to check it out. Go see for yourself, the other traditional dishes might be the bomb I just always stick to the short ribs and at this place they weren't the best but definitely good.
(3)Benjamin Y.
Galbi and yook-hwe are amazing here!
(4)Cheff W.
Food Bulgogi, was ok, very generic but no special. Friend corn cake, mushy, wet, blend and greasy. Staff Flat face cold, maybe I'm not Korean and did not understand their culture. However, very attentive if you call them. Price For both dishes was over $20-22? plus tips, was over $25 I will try other places but not here, especially it was so far from ATL and with $4/gallon reg gas, even on my Toyota Prius, this place was not worth it especially in rush hour on I85.

FIRST IMPRESSION: The most average Korean restaurant that I've ever been to. AMBIENCE: Wonderful. The design of the place pleased the family. A very modern twist to the traditional Korean architectural design. SERVICE: The waitresses were great. The first one who took our order had a headache, so I think that's why she was kind of moody, but the second one was wonderful! We asked for more side dishes, and the lady waitress was very kind and always checked on us. We gave an 18% tip. FOOD: We had Bibimbap, Suleongtang, Naengmyun + Galbi Combo Bibimbap: Tasteless. We had to add more of the gochujang (slightly sweet-spicy red sauce that comes in a ketchup squirt-like bottle) Suleongtang: Okay. The korean dad wasn't disappointed but said it could do much better in terms of the broth taste. I tasted and was very unimpressed. Mool (water) Naengmyun + Galbi: Bland- the galbi saved the dish but unfortunately couldn't save the whole experience. It is true that naengmyun is typically eaten in the summer, but it was bland and there was no taste. In terms of the galbi, this is supposed to be the highlight of the place, and I have to say the galbi was pretty good. I don't think they have the logistics or time to marinate the meat for longer than a day (typically to get the meat marinated and tasteful/savory... you want to marinate the meat for 3 days). The meat wasn't very savory though--meaning that there wasn't enough lasting flavor to the meat. You ate it and then the taste vanished. LASTING IMPRESSION: The food couldn't save the experience.

In need of some SERIOUS food after a long night of drinking. We strolled into this place at like 1pm. Even though the plan was to go last night at like 2am. We were happy to just walk in at all. I have been to a few Korean BBQ's and this one is pretty much middle of the way for me. It was all VERY good..but not amazing. And the bill did not match up to the quality. I mean the bill was like $42 and I feel it should have been more like $30ish. I will definitely come back but only if its 2am :) 22/365 #Yelp365

A fellow Yelper told me that I'm being too critical for Korean restaurants. Maybe I am. Since I'm from Korea, I'm just really used to great quality and priced Korean food. But what's wrong with expecting the first-grade dishes? Shouldn't tasting a five-star dish be a part of the joy of dining out? In my years in Atlanta, however, that theory has been challenged many times especially in Korean restaurants. As I was about to give up all hope, I read that Myung Ga Won, a famous franchised restaurant in Korea, opened a new location in Duluth. I could not believe it. My family used to (and still do) go to Myung Ga Won in Seoul, Korea. Why and how did it get to Duluth? Somehow they did and I'm glad they did. Now, this is what I call authentic and good Korean food. Every dish I ordered was great. Flawless. On top of that, very friendly service. My waitress didn't see us as a couple of young kids; she actually respected us and treated us as a customer. If you want to have a taste of traditional Korean cuisine, stop by here any time of the day since they are open for 24 hours. Unlike some other restaurants, they serve the entire menu even late at night. Their Korean BBQ is great, but Myung Ga Won is known for their Sullongtang in Korea.

I almost feel bad for making this my 1st 3 star review, but my past several visits have really been more like 2 star reviews. These days it seems I only go to this place as a last resort for Korean food after work since they are 24-hours which seems to be the only positive point of this place lately. My most recent visit consisted of buh-suht soon-du-bu (tofu stew w/mushrooms) a great deal pricewise as it's both filling & maybe the cheapest meal item on their menu & my wife got some spicy pork called Jae-wook-bokum (maybe one of the most expensive menu items) but quite tasty. The good news, they both tasted good and filled us up. The bad news, my wife and I were both in the restroom that night several times due to bad cases of sulsa (translating to die-uh-ree-ah). What'd they put in those things we were asking. I agree with a lot of the yelpers who talked about the poor customer service during later hours. I think a few times i was an invisible man to them, esp. when they're busy. Not being checked on once in a while isn't too bad, but when your actual bell rings (yes, they have a bell to call waiters here) are blatantly ignored, this is another matter entirely. I am only not going to dock their very slow and lackadaisical customer service to a 1-star review b/c of my several past positive visits during non-owl like hours and i empathize with the waiters who are probably overworked and tired and just want to go home during some of the cruel hours i come visit them, but hey, it is a 24 hour joint. The food? Again, the past several visits have been more like 2 star reviews, particularly since i've learned that some of the ingredients in their sullungtang (their staple beef stew menu item) are not common in authentic korean beef stews, and of course b/c of my sulsa aftermath experiences. I have enjoyed their mool naengmyun on prior occasions, but again, it seemed there was a lot of sugar to make it sweet as it was.. not a common thing in authentic naengmyun as i know. Since I am familiar with their branches in Korea, and my not so good experiences with them, even while abroad (again, particularly due to customer service issues, and reports of milk like substances being used in their sullungtang stews to give it a whiter color and more pleasing taste w/o having to cook it longer as normally done in authentic sullungtang stews) i must say they have emulated their korean store model almost exactly. I don't know if that's a good thing, but it seems to be working and customers keep coming. Unfortunately, I can not give this place my seal of approval for the above mentioned reasons, but the sad thing is, i'll probably be back on a hungry late night due to lack of options. Hopefully, i'll be able to update my review after a good number of positive visits, for now, my 2.5 star rounded up to 3 star stands. Happy eating!

The food is tasty, but the service totally ruins it. Considering that this place is open 24 hours, I try to cut them some slack, but why should I? I'm paying for the food and service. They really should rotate and shift the servers as I see the same ones nonchalantly walking around when there are people that have been waiting 15 mins. for their first round of waters. This place is always my last resort.

Went here on thanksgiving at 1 pm. Initially we were going to iron age which was across the street but it wouldn't be open until 3pm. We we all really hungry n it was open so we went in. The exterior was nice as with the decor inside. However the service was very poor. Usually you have to order two meat to use the grill which I'm accustom to since I've eaten at many kbbq places. But the server was rather rude about it insisting me order more. We kept explaining to her we only wanted two for now and if we like it and wanted more we would order later. After a long wait two plates of barely meat came out. The brisquet was small thin and circular. No flavor at all. The galbi was bad as well. The grill is like an American BBQ grill and the thin meat many times almost fell through. The server barely cooked it for us and just left it on the side feeding us like dogs when the meat was still red. The banchan was small in portion and had no flavor. We left after we were done and the total was 45 when another server handed to us ( our original server told her to handle us instead) when she came back with my receipt it was $52. Okay talk about unprofessional. The guy at the front handed it back. And he included the tip , which was not mention to us nor was it on the menu. You usually only add tip if it's a party of six or more. But I was so piss I just left. Spent 50 bucks on shitty food and poor service. Never coming back there again. We hit white windmill and then iron age when it was 3. For 80$ we ate a lot for for five ppl and had better service. I do not recommend this place at all. Save your time and money. Honey pig had better meat and go by that style of two plates first but they understand we would order more later. :(

We went here for a co-worker's last day yesterday. She's Korean, so she did all of the ordering for us. I should mention that this was my first time eating Korean BBQ, so my opinion might not be worth the web page I'm writing it on - but I'm'a write it anyway. The purple rice was great, as was the beef. I believe we got boneless beef short ribs. We got the cod with tofu as well. The cod was definitely not my thang, as it managed to be really fishy tasting, even with the large amount of sauce on it. The tofu in the dish was excellent, though. I killed that, since no one else in the group eats tofu. My (former) co-worker mentioned that the selection there isn't that good - mostly beef and fish, no pork or anything. I'll take her word for that, since I didn't even look at the menu. I liked some of the banchan (sides), and some of it I didn't. I thought the kimchi was good, and the octopus and broccoli sides as well. I think the only item I found that was truly offensive to my taste buds was the fermented bean paste designed to be put into the lettuce wraps. "Fermented" flavors just aren't appealing to me, unless we're talking about booze. Service was kind of slow and unfriendly, and I didn't care for the decor. I suppose I SHOULD give this place 4 stars. I'm just not feeling it. I could go back tomorrow or never return in my life and be fine either way.

everytime i come to atlanta this is my go to korean resturant.... most of the time its good i get the beef tofu soup combo with galbi.... sometimes the soup comes out very bland but by far the best korean i have had in my taste.... and its open 24 hr.. cant beat that!!@!

I went to Myung Ga Won with some of my friends who drove down from NYC, who are connoiseurs of Korean food. I wasn't expecting much at first, being a 24-hour joint and all. The entrees we ordered were just not very impressive. The bibimbop was extremely dry and not appealing, the LA kalbi was overly greasy for some reason, and the banchan dishes were just blahhhh. After eating here, my NYC friends were not impressed either. Compared to NYC standards, this place was definately lacking. I wasn't particularly pleased with the service either. We came in on a Tuesday evening, and the place was bustling. Even with the crowd, they had a total of 2 servers. Count it, TWO. They could not keep up with the crowd and we had to buzz them on the paging sysem a number of times to get their attention just to do simple things like drink refills. Oh, and did I mention that this place is EXPENSIVE? Compared to places like Iron Age and So Kong Dong, they are charging you an arm and a leg. Although I wasn't particularly impressed, I will be sure to give them another chance.

I had my rehearsal dinner here. They have many rooms for large parties. We had a party of 30. I have eaten here several times before my rehearsal dinner. We wanted a Korean restaurant that had party rooms for a reasonable price. That night I tried a little bit of everything. It was all okay and nothing really stood out. I tried the gal bi, bi bim bap, nang myun, and soon do bu. They also gave a complimentary shik hye. This place is good for big groups. I've been to several big parties here. However, the food and service are okay.
(3)Eva T.
I like this place. It's clean and spacious. I'm told that this is a chain from Korea. Everything I've eaten here have been good- from bbq to the Korean soups. However, I don't like coming here without my Korean friends. I feel like we'd have a better experience dining here if we spoke Korean with the servers.
(4)Kyung P.
Korean food is so delish in ATL! We got off the plane at 9AM, and we were at Myung Ga Won by 10AM, having breakfast. It's all about food, and my uncle made sure that we were gonna eat! The sul lung tang was sooo delish (bone marrow ox tail soup)!!! The food came out super fast too! There wasn't too much variety in the side dishes though...we maybe got 5 different items (2 of which were kimchee). I've had better service at other Korean restaurants in ATL - I had to ask 2 different people for water 3 times. Boo. I'm sure I'll be back on my next trip!
(4)alex j.
I am a Korean girl, and I have visited most all of korean restaurants in duluth and all along buford highway. And I was quite disappointed with the service and the quality of food that I received there. Although the place is brand new and quite large (and you can't really beat the 24 hour aspect), Myung Ga Won is not a place I would ever revisit. 1) side dishes were not very flavorful. Everything tasted quite bland and ordinary. I wasn't impressed with the variety either. 2) i would not recommend the BBQ. The amount of meat that you receive is so miniscule compare to the amount that you pay for it. If you really want BBQ, either just order the dishes that already come cooked or go somewhere else. 3) even at 3AM and with barely any customers there, the waitress forgot to get us chopsticks, water, napkins, and extra side dishes. We had to ask every time when we needed something. This korean restaurant is by far the worst i've been to in Atlanta. I highly recommend that you go somewhere else.
(1)Daniel K.
You cannot expect the best food in the world from here but what I can say though is choose the right foods and what you have here is reliable. Reliable? The reason why is that the place is open 24 hours a day. They don't close on holidays... I know this because this is a place I enjoy stopping by for breakfasts on thanksgiving, after midnight mass on Christmas, and sometimes 4 in the morning on New Years with a handful of people trying to sober up. The interior of the place is neat (as in clean and well put together). They have an area specifically for Korean BBQ, but at the same time at the other tables you can have a small gas grill brought out to you. Now I've only tried the Korean BBQ on the grill here twice. And each of them were two extremes of the spectrum of kick-ass and wtf. Almost everytime I am here I get the suhlungtang. This is a beef bone soup with a few strips of beef, noodles, and scallions. You can add rice to it as well along with the amount of salt you need for it to hit the right spot. Now this soup is not suppose to be some flavor explosion combination. But in the cold seasons it does hit the "I need to be warmed and filled up" spot the only way a bowl of rice and soup can. You know, that comfort of a warm blanket over your shoulders kind of feeling. The banchan (side dishes) variety changes practically everytime you visit. Some days you hit the jackpot and get some really good ones, and other days you wonder what in the world is this crap. It happens. It's like a gamble. But then again I feel as if most Korean restaurants are that way. Overall all the food here is okay. Like I said, nothing that will blow your mind. But when it's the cold seasons and you're looking for a place at 3 am that's open in the Gwinett area, you can always warm up with the Korean soups they serve here.
(3)Jakki K.
This place is clean and good. The food is soo goood. We had the galbi and the galbi sal. The meat was so tender and good. Also we had pretty good service, probably because we went just before the dinner rush of Saturday night. Next time Im in Atlanta, I'm definitely checking this place out!!!
(4)vuong p.
I love really good beef, but when its the only thing on the menu, its kind of a downer. No seafood or chicken. The side items come in a massive quantity, but only a few were delicious. We sat upstairs and the view was awesome. Side note: I love eating yaki niku because its fresh food that its cooked as you eat. But half the fun of it is cooking it yourself. Don't expect that here. Our waitress did cook everything to a degree of awesomeness, but it also left some awkward silences (me and my friends talk about random stuff haha).
(4)Diana C.
I came here, hungry and excited, because of all the rave reviews my friends told me about this place. I left here, hungry and disappointed, because what they told me didn't follow suit. Neng myun (cold noodles) + Galbi (Korean marinated short ribs) is a classic combination & also one of my faves. I was happy seeing it in the menu so I ordered it. Patiently waited for a good 30 minutes and my food arrived. The little amount of meat on the bones was tough to rip out and chew and lacked flavor. The neng myun was decent but didn't live up to my expectations. I did like the interior of this place, and the fact that it's open 24 hours. I will be back to order other dishes.
(3)Chloe M.
This is one of my top favorite Korean joints in town. I love it that they have a more traditional clientele who knows what good Korean food is really like. When I first visited during opening week, the place had a line out the door. I've been back many, many times and the lines are still out the door during peak times. That's amazing considering this place is huge! They have two floors with each floor having its own kitchen, staff, POS. It's like having two restaurants in one. The galbi here is the best. They are meaty, well-marinaded, and of good quality (they only use Angus Beef). The Sul Lung Tang (oxtail soup) and Galbi Tang (short rib soup) are my favorites here. They are full-bodied, meaty, and comforting with that simmered for hours taste. I have to disagree with one yelper who thought the banchan was not enough. The banchan whenever I go are plentiful with lots of variety. As with almost all ethnic restaurants here in the US, service can be spotty. After all, the concept of good service ("the-customer-is-always-right" at least to an extent and only most of the time) was coined by Americans. Having said that, I have no problems asking for what I need and flagging down servers when and if I have to.
(5)Heewon Y.
My go-to Korean restaurant in Gwinnett! Slightly on the pricier side, but you get better quality ingredients and food plus a good variety of banchan. Some never fail dishes: galbitang, galbijjim, and of course good ole galbi BBQ! Maybe not the best galbi in town, but I like that the restaurant is clean and service is good, AND it's 24 hours! Cant beat that! I want to try the daegujorim next!
(5)Si L.
We went in a group of eight for some BBQ. We ordered the beef short ribs which were pretty good but pretty expensive. There were many sides but they did not refill very often. Maybe it was because we were on the top floor in a room. But service was pretty slow. They didnt bring the rice until we were done. Instead of sweet rice drink they gave us a soybean tofu soup. Not speaking in Korean probably didn't help.
(3)Tulie L.
Went here at night like late at night. With a fellow yelper Zack. I have to admit the place is very nice and clean. The side dishes are not as vast as most. Our waitress was not very great at bringing out refills as well- which I thought was very strange, since they are a franchise and should be doing very well. The space is beautifully laid out and very open. The food is pretty much solid but prices and quantity are not as competitive as other places. My friend told me this place is a franchise and it came from Seoul Korea! Everyone wears a cute orange apron, and there is a Huge cart that is pushed up to you, to set you up with the side dishes that come with any solid Korean Meal. Good Place to take First Time Korean Eaters! But it's not the Greatest in Duluth that is for Sure!
(3)Robert M.
We've been meaning to try this one for a while. It was very good. The interior is very nice, nicer than most Korean BBQ in the area. Felt clean and refreshing. They should figure out a way to get the benches closer to the table though! Too far away and we were leaning over the whole time to get to the table with backaches! The banchan was tasty, but the variety of banchan was disappointing. Other restaurants have better variety. There were tons of plates on the table and it felt like you had a lot, but there were a few different pickled radishes and a few kimchees which clogged the table up. We also ordered Pajeon. For entree, we got the boneless galbi, lots of it. It was great, and they use angus which is a huge bonus here. However, I wish they used charcoal grills instead of gas. A nice surprise was the Sikhye brought out at the end of the meal. Sikhye is a sweet rice drink used as a dessert and it is always good. I would imagine that even bad Sikhye still tastes good. This place is open 24 hours...and on that note, goodbye Krystal and hello Myung Ga Won!
(3)Liz D.
Great place! First of all, it's 24hr, which means I can get my korean bbq fix anytime. Second, the marinated meats for the bbq are delicious- great flavor, tender meat. The service was okay the first time I went, great the second time. The side dishes are okay- there is not much selection and I've had better at other korean restaurants, but I go here for the meat anyways. The restaurant itself is beautiful- large, spacious, clean and bright. It is pricey, but solid food.
(4)Christopher P.
I have to give it 3 stars b/c I didn't know what I was getting myself into. When I think of Korean BBQ I think of Bulgogi, which this place doesn't have. Nor do they have any chicken or seafood. This place only serves really good BEEF. If I was in the carnivorous mood at 3am... this place will get 4 stars. But for lunch I would go elsewhere. Service was excellent and 3 beef dishes for 4 during lunch came out to be around 14 bucks each. It's your call....
(3)Michelle C.
The previous reviews are accurate. Ordered Galbi and the meat was ok. More on the fatty side. Banchans were ok, have had better selections. They offered cucumber, turnip, and cabbage kimchi. All were eh. The potato salad with pumpkin? topping was decent. My mom makes potato salad with apples in it so I appreciated the apples in it. The soup before meal was WAY undersalted. Yuck. The sweet drink after the meal was the best part. Yummo. I wish I could get the recipe for that. I would not bring my Korean mother here. *shrug*
(2)Christie K.
The food here is just okay. The BBQ was definitely not worth the price, especially since there are much better Korean BBQ restaurants just a few minutes away. Save your money.

We checked out this Korean BBQ restaurant late one evening. Finding restaurants that are open odd hours is a challenge and a necessity in today's busy world. The decor is very nice. The restaurant is well lit and clean. It is in a two story building but we have only been seated on the bottom floor. The staff was very attentive and helpful to those in the group that have never had Korean BBQ before. For 11pm on a Tuesday night the restaurant was moderately busy, but the staff was able to keep up with the customers. The menu is not extremely large, but adequate for most any taste. Our group ordered a variety of BBQ items and we were very satisfied by the service and the quality of the food. I would recommend anyone who is looking for a late nite treat to check this place out.

I come here anytime I want to eat Kalbi. This is a higher end Korean restaurant that's open 24 hours. I've been there all hours of the day and night and I never regret going there. Anytime out of town guests or out of country guests come, I take them here. A few months back a couple people from Korea came and they were very impressed with the quality of the meat. One of the few Korean restaurants they were impressed with. This only confirms my opinion. They have a lot of private rooms for large parties. My nephew had his 1 year birthday here and the service, food, and experience was great. Pricier than most Korean restaurants, but you definitely get what you paid for. They also sell liquor by the bottle.

i had the best bowl of galbi tang (short rib soup) here after a night of partying. it was so good that i kept saying "this is sooo good" and even picked up the bowl to slurp down every last drop. needless to say, i highly recommend their galbi tang. can't really say anything about any of the other dishes, lol.

Korean BBQ? More like Korean joy in my mouth! This was my first taste of Korean BBQ, and I was fuhmazed. You get more food that you can handle, the side dishes never stop, the place is so clean I would consider licking the floor, and the service is quick! I'm sure it didn't hurt that I went with a Korean friend that was speaking fluently with the waitress the whole time-I think she liked our table a little more after that, but whatevs. I wish I could tell you what we ate, but frankly-I haven't a clue. My friend ordered everything for us. All I know is that it was like heaven in my mouth. If you have a more vanilla personality when it comes to food, I suggest you put on your adventuresome cap to really experience the place because there are some freaky lookin' things the put in front of you. It was all so tasty though!! My vote-go! Go right now. Do it. Stop reading this. Why aren't you in the car yet?? No really, GO!!!

Food was ok, but they have some ridiculous rules. The outside sign says "9.99 all you can eat", but when you come inside, get seated, and order, they inform you that you MUST buy alcohol. What the heck? Also, "all you can eat" is "select cheap beef with a few slices of pork". You MUST eat all the beef for more pork, and considering my beef allergies, this didn't sit well with me. Especially considering I was informed of this AFTER my food came out. The waitresses are extremely rude on top of that, but I guess that's the limitations of a korean establishment. Overall, food was decent, terrible service.

I've been here several times not because of the quality of the food or the prices, but simply because of the convenient location and the fact that they are open 24hrs. The service here has always sucked, but my last visit it was extra shitty to say the least. Yea, it was pretty late when my party of 3 showed up, around 1:30ish -2:00 am, but hey they're suppose to be 24hrs, the waitress took our orders with major attitude. Everyone knows that there is a minimum of 2 orders for Korean bar b q, but I have never heard of having to order at least 2 orders of chadol bulgi in order to order it at all. There was only 3 of us and each of us wanted different types of bar b q. I was the only one that wanted the chadol bulgi, but there was no way I could eat 2 orders by myself. I have never heard of this here nor anywhere else, and when I tried to ask the waitress about it, she kept insisting that it was a new rule, she barely spoke any English. There was no point in trying to reason with her, so I just ended up ordering something else. The waitress came around a total of two times after that, once to dump our ban chan on the table, 2nd time to drop the meats off. Never saw her after that. She didn't even bother bringing us our check, we had to go to the front desk to get it ourselves. We probably could have eaten and just walked out and no one would have noticed. There are way too many Korean bar b q joints in Duluth to pick from for me to ever want to return to this restaurant with mediocre food, slightly high prices, and horrible customer service.

Among all the Asian restaurants I've been to in Atlanta, I think this place is one of the best one, and certainly the best ones out of all Korean restaurants. It's been only 4 months since they opened business, and I could tell that it was going really well so far. Myung ga won is a famous Korean traditional food chain restaurant in Korea. They just opened it in Duluth as a franchise and surprised me for a big time. This newly built restaurant had a fancy, simple and clean outlook, which is quite surprising for an Asian restaurant. It was even more surprising how beautiful the interior was. The traditional marks of Korea and the colors that reminded me of a traditional Korean house was very impressive. The service was extremely quick and nice especially for a big restaurant like that. Yuna P. and I ordered boneless Galbi that comes with Soy-paste soup and rice. I knew it would be good because of the reputation of this restaurant in Korea, but I didn't expect it to be THAT good. I told the waitress how great it was, and she told me that they only use Angus beef. I took it as an exaggeration or joke until I saw the certification in front of the restaurant. "Wow they DO use Angus beef!" and I'm not surprised after the great meal. You know how if you go to Korean restaurant, they give out some base food that you didn't even order? That kind of side dishes are called Ban-chan in Korean and it's supposed to be good with your main menu. It can be an appetizer as well. They don't charge you for that in most of Korean restaurants but they don't like to refill those Ban-chans in some restaurants. However at this place, Yuna and I finished a lot of those side dishes and they gave out extra side dishes right away, with out hesitation, whenever we finish those dishes. They were very generous about their food and the portion of main menu was also generous. I didn't believe this restaurant open 24 hours and I shall come here whenever I get hungry at late night. If you want to taste real traditional Korean food, you should definitely try this place out.

The decor is very nice and modern looking. We were sat at a BBQ table because one of the people in my group wanted bbq. When they found out no one else was ordering bbq they made us move to a regular table, which stinks because my friend wanted the brisket that could only be ordered when bbqing yourself. The banchan wasn't as vast or tasty as So Kong Dong. The service was slow at first but picked up once we ordered. The bibimbap was different than the bibimbap at So Kong Dong. Myungs version was deconstructed with no rice in the plain metal bowl. I much prefer SKD's version in the steaming pot which Michael L clued me in is called dolsot. Having had both I prefer the dolsot bibimbap but to each his own. The spicy stir fried octopus had the best sauce ever but the octopus itself was extremely chewy with large pieces that could barely fit in my mouth (insert joke here). I wish I could bottle the sauce and put it on something else, because it was spicy, sweet, and fabulous. The seafood pancake was good, but again I thought SKDs seafood pancake was better. The best thing about the meal was going across the way to Mozart Bakery. All in all decent and edible, but neither I or anyone in the party will go back.

Meat was delicious. The restaurant itself has an awesome atmosphere. Much nicer than I was expecting. The price was a little high for what we got. But it was excellent.

This is one huge Korean restaurant where the place is clean, price is decent, and food is fairly above average. It is easy to spot - a two-story building on the side of the road - and the parking is always available. For a 24-hour restaurant, I'd say this place is worth a try.

i've been here a few times and each time i came here i got real good service. i think all the waitress work together b/c when i ask something i just waived and anyone who sees me come over to see what's going on. u do not get superior service like other high end restaurants and u shouldn't expect someone will be checking on u and refill the water every 5 minutes in korean restaurants...but they did their best to give me more rice and side dishes when i asked. the food, i had kalbi (korean short rib) and it was delicious....two thumbs up. also, had beef tofu soup and it was very good...two thumbs up. bibimbop (korean mix rice bowl) was visually very appealing and the taste was excellent...two thumbs up. only problem i had was the beef bone soup. it was good...but it wasn't traditional....they put those long skinny mushroom that japanese people use on their soup...and i didn't like it as much as the traditional soup. i still gave 5 stars b/c they open 24 hours...the kalbi is my favorite food of all time and they had real good kalbi. the side dishes were clean and good. the lunch special is really cheap.

First-timer, loved the flavors, but we didn't know how to properly eat. We muddled thru & later learned we did it correctly. The waitstaff wasn't as helpful as we would have liked, language being the problem. Will definitely eat there again after taking a few Korean BBQ lessons from YouTube.

First time to restaurant as suggested by a friend. I was surprised to see a 24/7 Korean BBQ restaurant! Large, spacious, nice decor, two level restaurant. Tables are long and lots of seating. We chose to order from the menu instead of BBQ. The complimentary side dishes were less and not as interesting as some of the other Korean restaurants I've been to such as Well Bean. The service is ok. Our waitress was in a hurry and didn't speak much English. However, food came quick. I ordered #25 my favorite Bibimbap. The price was a few dollars higher than other Korean restaurants for the same item. The portion size seemed less too. My friend got the beef bone soup, which was just alright, nothing special. If you want the bean rice, you have to ask for it when you order. They give you complimentary lightly sweetened rice drink after the meal, which is okay nothing special. (Hey, it's free what do you expect.) I would probably eat here again when I am in the area, esp. when you are hungry late at night. This is a family friendly place.
