The still cozy Lattea Cafe is conveniently located across Gwinnett Place so you can get a refreshing drink or meal after shopping. They have at least doubled the menu size and now offer cheaper prices. They now have lunch specials from 3-5 PM as well. They have wings, fries, sandwiches, and BOBA! I had gotten the coconut milk tea with tapioca pearls and rainbow jelly. My brother had gotten the Kiwi iced tea with bursting orange boba. The drinks didn't disappoint and I definitely will be coming back. Last but not least, they have a frequent buyer's card,so for every $5 dollars you spend you get a hole punch. After $30,you get a free medium drink. This is definitely one of the best Boba cafes in the area.

Not bad, but not my favorite for a classic black milk tea. I typically head over to Buford Highway for bubble tea, but I didn't want to drive so far, and this place had good reviews. It's not bad at all, but not necessarily my cup of tea. (However, I took both of my parents, and they loved the custard and the honey lemon, so this place definitely has some perks if you're willing to branch out more!) Something about the taste of the black milk tea seemed a little off to me - and it wasn't a strong or weak tea taste. Aside from that, the boba was soft and seemed fresh, and the grass jelly came in small chunks (good taste, but the texture wasn't as soft as, say, Quickly - it was more like Sweet Hut's but it wasn't as large a blob). Aside from the drinks, the store is small - very cute, but it might be difficult to find a seat if you come with a large group or if you come during a busier time of day and need a seat to work or study.

Great place to eat some fast-food snacks with your bubble tea or coffee! The chicken nuggets were made fresh, Thai tea was very good, and staff really nice. My friend's mozzarella sticks were perfect! The decor was a bit mismatched but charming. Another customer was rude to me but it wasn't the establishment's fault per se.

Visited this place for the first time yesterday. Will post pictures of the menu! I tried their Thai Tea with Boba (tapioca) and it was average. It tasted like Saigon Cafe's Thai tea. The place is small but very clean. There are cards and poker supplies to play in their dinning area. I first heard about this place when there used to be a car meet on Thursdays and Saturdays, everyone would meet in front and everyone raved about it. I haven't tried their food but the Thai Tea & Mango Milk drink was okay. Still looking for a place with good Thai Tea.. I LUV PHO still has the best, but I'm still looking!

The lady working their was very nice but.....sorry, I have to be honest. The food and boba sucked. It was worse than small town tallahassee and thats saying something. The boba was that old boba texture when its been sitting for a while and the outside is rotten and mushy. The tea did not taste good either. I took one sip, and there is out when I got home as not to offend the kind lady working their. I have no idea why but we ordered the wings and fries and that was pretty meh also. If I can cook it better, sorry, I'm not going to like it, period. The location and interior design should have let me know this place would suck. Its dated and looks like a boba place for american that smoke e-cigs or hooka. Sorry but I do not recommend this place. Food and boba def 1 star, I'm giving two for the nice lady that was helping us.

Staff was super friendly, especially since we came ten minutes before closing time (whoops!). The menu was very extensive - they offered desserts, wings, appetizers, coffee, fresh fruit smoothies, and of course milk teas with tapioca/boba. I ordered the fresh fruit smoothie, strawberry and blueberry with lychee jelly while my boyfriend ordered the green tea milk tea with grass jelly and tapioca. The green tea milk tea was delicious! We've ordered it at a lot of boba places and this one was one of the best. My fresh fruit smoothie was also good - tasted exactly like what I was expecting since it was just fruit blended together, lol, and nothing too complicated. I would definitely recommend and be coming back. Oh, and they also have happy hour on drinks and 50cent wings certain hours of the day! Yum. Also, make sure you get their punch cards.

3.5 out of 5 I've always see Lattea when I go to Ming's BBQ but I never thought about going on. First of all, I'm not a fan of boba tea at all, I don't care for it. However, I decided to give it a try since one of my friends told me to try it because of the "popping boba" - I was like what???? So yes, Lattea is located a few doors down from Ming's BBQ off Pleasant Hill Road, behind Bruster's. It's a really small café but modern and cozy enough. I just ordered the pineapple smoothie with no boba. It was refreshingly good. I wish there was more variety though. I ordered my daughter the strawberry popping boba tea. I tried one of the boba and it didn't really pop in my mouth but it melted and tasted kinda like grass jelly. It was different. It's actually better than regular tapioca boba balls. We both agreed on that. I would go back to try more flavors because it was a good experience. Service was fast and friendly. I want to try their food dishes next time.

The owner was very nice and made me a fresh taro milk tea. I thought the drink was alright, tasted kind of powdery, compared to my usual spot (Boba Mocha). This is a decent place to get takeout from, not really an environment to hang out in. The drinks are also slightly more expensive. Nice owner though.

I love Lattea! It's a very small place I discovered through Scoutmob (50% off your purchase) and I'm really glad I did! They have many, many different flavors of bubble teas and yogurt smoothies to choose from. They also have sandwiches and other food as well. I came here 3 times so far and haven't been disappointed! I love the Honeydew Milk Smoothie with Tapioca, of course, and yesterday I tried the Fresh Fruit Watermelon Smoothie with Tapioca! Both drinks were phenomenal and somewhat healthy! They have a smoothie program which you order 5 smoothies and get the next smoothie FREE. I will definitely be coming back here soon!

Hadn't been there in a while and found out it changed owners. The interior is much cleaner than it used to be, but with less personality and charm. The drinks... Oh boy. I ordered an Oolong Milktea and what I got was something with very little milk, and a whole lot of burnt coffee flavoring. Dear Husband ordered an old favorite, Mango Sunset (I think it was called) and while the tea was in it, it tasted overwhelmingly of passion fruit. The service was significantly slow for two drinks and as few people were there, but the food offerings looked interesting. Not sure what to think anymore but will try again in future.

The best thing about Lattea: it's open late. Monday-Friday: noon-2am. Saturday and Sunday: noon-3am. Lattea is a bubble tea shop cut in the same Chinese/Taiwanese mold as Quickly and Sweet Hut. They have a solid selection of teas and smoothies like Quickly. No buns and pastries like Sweet Hut, though. They do have fried snacks -- for example, fried squid, chicken nuggets, sweet potato fries, fish balls, cuttlefish balls, etc. Like the Quickly location in Duluth, Lattea also offers more traditional sized "meals" such as rice plates like mapo tofu and, uncharacteristically, a veggie plate. So there is some food to speak of. The rice plates are affordable (up to $8 per). There are over a dozen milk tea flavors. Smalls are only $1.50, mediums $2.45, and larges $3.45. House special teas are more expensive. Toppings include the traditional tapioca pearls (or "boba"), mango poppers (little chewable balls with mango juice in them), jellies such as lychee jelly and grass jelly, and egg pudding. By default, all teas come ice cold, but any one of them can be prepared hot as well (at your request). The teas I recommend are the roasted black milk tea with grass jelly (house special) and the taro milk tea. The milk tea quality here is among the best in Atlanta, potentially *the* best. It's smooth, fresh, and not powdery or overly creamy. Well-balanced flavors overall. I'm impressed so far. The store is small and cute. You'll find random things at each table like a trash dispenser that looks like a pig or set of buttons that look like they were taken from a giant computer keyboard. There isn't a whole lot of seating inside. There's additional seating in the back in a sort of "private" room. It's not really private, but it just feels like it. IKEA furniture throughout. There's a TV in the main room that plays a random variety of music videos. By random, I mean everything from mainstream American music like Beyonce to up-and-coming Japanese pop stars of yesteryear that never made it (Mai Kuraki). Staff is friendly enough. They work hard to get orders processed quickly and efficiently. Free Wi-Fi is available and the password is written on the wall behind the counter. Lattea isn't as conducive a place for hanging out and/or coming with your laptop or iPad to chill (or work). I prefer Sweet Hut's atmosphere (bigger space with more comfortable seating). One thing I don't like about Lattea is that it can get a bit dirty and sticky from all the foot traffic and some of their tables are about to fall apart. Minor gripes aside, they excel at what counts most: making good milk teas. Credit card minimum: $10.

This place was surprisingly delicious! I didn't expect too much from the place upon entering. There's no bells or whistles here, just a counter and a fridge of drinks. There are a lot of intriguing options on the menu, but I went with the lychee smoothie and the churros. The lychee smoothie was delicious! The churros with condensed milk dipping sauce on the side was also a pleasure to eat. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be visiting this place again as soon as possible!

My boss recommended this place to me after we discovered our mutual love of all things boba. I finally got to check it out this weekend as when I'm in this shopping center I'm usually at 'Iron Age'; and after Iron Age, I'm about ready to slip into a food coma. The cafe itself is cute, its pretty small - roughly about the size of the Quickly on Buford Hwy. They have a table off to the side with a few games, including playing cards (Hello Kitty playing cards - points there!), and other Chinese trading cards. Unfortunately, I wasn't too impressed with the bubble tea. I had the 'Thai Milk Tea' and I tried the boyfriend's 'Strawberry Milk Tea' - meh - both were pretty mediocre. He agreed. We also ordered the fried ice cream, which thankfully was a lot better than the tea and is also quite a generous serving. The staff was pretty friendly, however they were too slow on getting our orders out; especially considering we were the only customers in the cafe at the time. I couldn't help but think of 'Sweet Hut' - with a line perpetually out the door yet they get their orders out faster! How is that possible? I'd come back though, their other desserts and snacks looked pretty good, and they're open so late; perfect for night owls! Plus, I noticed when I checked in on YELP, I got a reward of 20% off my bill! Great deal. But 'Sweet Hut' still reigns supreme in my book.

I really liked the fact that this place was open so late. The girl that took my order was patient with me, for I'm new to boba tea and am venturing out to try newhings. We went late so the pastry selection was sparse (it was 11:30 PM though). I wasn't a huge fan of the topping I picked, green tea jelly and taro pudding, but I think thats a personal prefecence, because sadly they were out of tapioca pearls. I liked the environment- I feel like this is good place to go on a coffee date, day adventure through Gwinnett, or read a book/write a paper. I will definitely be coming back. :)

I am giving this place a three star rating off of one experience. I don't know if in future visits the experience will be better- but as now, this place didn't really impress me. It has a nice interior. Cute... Bright and open, plenty of seating. It was empty and so service was good since we were the only customers there. The selection was average- bubble teas, smoothies, toppings.... Great. I ordered the Thai milk tea with bubbles. Cliche I know, but I have a soft space in my heart that constantly aches for Thai tea. It came out to me, really beautiful color. I tasted it... And well, it isn't quite right. It doesn't taste strong enough, too much condensed milk or something. But it was sweet and good enough for the moment. The bubbles though were just.... Yuck. I mean don't get me wrong, I ate every one of them but they weren't made right or something. They weren't delightfully chewy, they were smushy... Like they were overcooked. Almost slimy. They were so tiny too. I guess I like a nice, strong pearl that provides a pleasant 30 second chewing experience before you can swallow without choking to death. These pearls could have been swallowed whole without any repercussions. I am not an expert at all when it comes to bubbles so maybe these are right and the ones I like are wrong; however, it still wasn't a five star experience. Pretty good, but I'd much rather go to Sweet Hut.

I always end up coming here after eating at either Ming's BBQ or Iron Age, which are both located in the same shopping complex. Also the ongoing Scout Mob makes it very, very tempting. Shop is small but there are plenty of tables and I have never seen this place busy. They also have playing cards for you to borrow. They use to play really good music videos ranging from K-Pop to old school 90s, but have since switched to just Pandora. Lame. Service can be spotty. They are all really nice, but get confused when you try to customize your drink. I usually get jasmine green milk tea with no ice or tapioca and will end up with ice or tapioca in it atleast every other time I come here. I can only comment on the milk teas here. For my taste they are too milky and lack any tea flavor. I tried the thai tea and thought the same. Just not a fan of their drinks. Have yet to try their food. After my last visit, I think I'm just going to make the quick drive down the road to Quickly or Boba Mocha next time to get my bubble tea fix.

I like going to Quicklys and Boba Mocha atleast once a week and I was surprised there are more joints like that when I came across Lattea in Yelp. So on a day we didn't want to spend whole lot of money for dinner, partner-in-crime and I decided to give a visit. Eventhough it's in the complex as starbucks and Bed, bath and beyond, it's easy to miss this place. There were two guys chatting at the counter, greeted us. Good. The interior is nothing to brag about. I mean, they went out of the way to paint walls with nice colors only to furnish with tables that belongs to a restaurant from 50 years ago. But i won't hold it against this place - it's supposed to be quick snack/dinner place that doesn't blow hole in your wallet. We both ordered chicken burgers and chicken nuggets. Right of the bat I noticed the chicken nuggets are bit expensive than Quicklys and Boba Mocha and soon I realized for a good reason. It's more of a lightly breaded pieces of chicken breast than salt&pepper chicken. My boy loved it and while I liked, I really was just craving for the crunchy salt&pepper chicken. And the chicken burger was good enough for a burger that costs 3 to 4 dollar - better and healthier than BurgerKing or McDs. And bubble tea tasted like any other place, which isn't surprising given they all use similar flavored powder to make this. Overall, I like this place. Not a must go, but definitely to be considered if you just want to grab some snack or quick food. Nothing fancy here. it's a local business, I would take this anytime over chain fast food restaurants.

Well... I've heard good things about this place, but my first time experience here with my friend would beg to differ. The jasmine milk tea with grass jelly my friend had was slightly better than mine. I had the taro milk tea with tapioca pearls, and I distinctively made a face when I had the first sip of this. As soon as this hit my taste buds, the taro powder was what I clearly remember tasting. Unfortunately, my friend agreed with me that mine tasted the worse out of the two. I also remember clearly a girl behind the counter who had the most unpleasant look on her face. My friend said she could have been the employee's gf since he heard her say something. Who knows... But she had a really annoyed look on her face while she stormed out of the store then came back 10 minutes later. Regardless of who she was, if you're going to be behind the counter, put on a pleasant demeanor because guests will adopt the same vibe you're giving off. The actual employee ringing us out was fine. No complaints here. One positive thing about this place is that they give you a 10% discount if you check into Yelp. A good thing I suppose. Other than this, I don't think I will be returning...

Lattea is an intimate dessert shop in the same vain as Sweet Hut, Quickly, and Boba Mocha. They sell boba teas, smoothies, other Asian dessert items, and Chinese snacks. They have XL as one of the boba teas sizes . That is a lot of boba tea. If you want to over-indulge in your boba tea, get the XL size. I assure you you'll get sick of boba tea afterwards. I like how they have avocado smoothies on the menu. Even better, they actually had avocados to make smoothies with. Most places that I tried ordering avocado smoothies never had any avocados. Props to Lattea of having them. I didn't like how the whole atmosphere felt ghetto. I think it was the gangster music they were playing on the TV screen. I'm more used to cutsey K-pop, J-pop, C-pop music playing at these tea places. Instead, I see Soulja Boy cranking and supermaning hos. I guess it's a nice break from the ultra-cutsey, girly tea places. I liked my avocado smoothie and the boba tea I tried. They tasted fine. The service seemed friendly and casual. At least I got some laid back dude taking my order instead of loud, obnoxious, fobby, Chinese girls like Quickly. Another plus is that they have several deals going on with Yelp, Scoutmob, and possibly other coupon places. They open late as well. So far I like it.

The first time I came to Lattea must have been soon after it had opened. Not realizing that they were fairly new, I had zero expectations. I had ordered the regular Black Milk Tea with boba, but I recall it tasting less than mediocre. So I had no interest in returning. That is, until very recently. Knowing that several of my friends and fellow Yelpers really like Lattea, I decided to give them one more try after well over a year. I'm really glad I did! Recently, I went to Lattea on a Sunday afternoon. I wanted to give the Black Milk Tea a second try, but the employee suggested I try the House Special Milk Tea. When I asked what made the "House Special" different from a regular Black Milk Tea, the employee told me that, to put it as simply as possible, the tea leaves used for the Black Milk Tea are from California while the leaves used for the House Special are from China. So I said sure, why not? At $2.75 for a regular size, it was the same price as a regular Black Milk Tea anyway. There were no other customers, so I got my House Special Milk Tea really fast. I tasted it and immediately loved it! It was the perfect sweetness, and the boba balls were smaller than I'm used to but had the right texture. I'm really glad the employee recommended I try it. Overall, Lattea gets 4 stars for their tasty House Special Milk Tea and friendly employee. If only they had a frequent buyer card... Now THAT would be super awesome. I haven't tried any of their snack or dessert items, but I'm sure I will very soon. I will definitely return when I'm back in the Duluth area and highly recommend their House Special Milk Tea! A lot of people I have noticed try to compare this to other places, but I find it hard to do so. While most other places that sell mostly bubble tea, or bubble tea and baked goods and some food, and others, well, who knows, I have realized this place would be categorized best by desserts and late night snacks. Hell, it's the only place in the metro I have seen that does bubble tea until at least 2AM on ANY given night (3AM on the weekends, Sweet Hut can't even say that!)! Housed in the Mall Corners shopping center in Duluth/Gwinnett Place, there are plenty of places around to eat before you come here. Or hell, you can eat here if you want. I have been here twice, both times on Saturday nights. One thing I noticed in the parking lot is a "fast and furious" style car meet in the parking lot. The cool thing about Lattea is they cater to them. Speaking of catering to people, each Yelp check-in, you get 10% off your purchase. Not bad, if you ask me! They also have free wi-fi. So far, so good! The second time I did come here (last Saturday), it seemed like the AC was out, and even more unfortunate, their health score went from a 100 to a 90 (I didn't look at the specifics though). The menu here is pretty large, and offers a bunch of things you don't see every day- like banana splits, fried ice cream, etc. As I said earlier, you get your sweet tooth fix here. All of the drinks they make to order, and I have noticed can take a little longer, but thats ok- because they have an XL size (40oz), that I haven't seen anywhere else. You better believe I get that! Another thing I noticed, they have a bunch of random stuff around, and they say that EVERYTHING is for sale. Great gimmick for someone who wants to practice bargaining! Hell, they even sell cigarettes! I have had the jack fruit smoothie here and the chocolate milk bubble tea here, both weren't bad. Not bad trying something different every once in a while! They need to get that damn AC fixed though, stat! A solid late night spot, which isn't nearly as crowded as other places...

Wonder where all of the trendy kids are after those late-night meals and drinking? They are over at Lattea, of course! Lattea is my favorite go-to place for Taiwanese style bubble tea, snacks, and desserts. Also, you can catch the latest TW pop music videos on the TV here. The location is great and the staff is super sweet. This is also a great place to hang-out late at night with friends because they are open until the wee hours of the morning on the weekends. Strictly tea and savory snacks are more for me. Their Crispy Basil "Pop" Chicken is slightly sweet and addictive, especially when stabbed with wooden sticks to make it all-the-more fun. Sometimes I splurge and get the frozen desserts, which usually involves shaved ice, coconut milk, and fruit. However, no dessert is complete without being covered in Sweetened Condensed Milk. The desserts at Lattea are what make them truly unique, compared to other bubble tea places in the Atlanta area. Just like I always say: "ask for less sugar." Otherwise, you will just rant and complain--- when really, it is your own damn fault for not knowing any better.

Lattea used to be one of the better bubble tea places. Now under new management, it's one of the worst. Fake powder overpowers the drinks making it feel grainy between your teeth. You might as well drink sand.' There's a reason why they cover up the glass which allows you to see how they make the tea. What's the secret guys? If you're hiding that you put dust in your bubble tea, secret's out. Also, please don't have the same guy painting the walls, make my bubble tea. Honestly, with the new management came a new inventory of tea and how it is made. I hate to be so harsh since this really was one of my favorite places. Not anymore. Stick to Sweet Hut or any other place.

The address of Lattea kind of threw me off because its for the entire shopping plaza. It's located behind Brusters and near hhgregg (so you don't get lost like I did). I used scoutmob to find this place and got a free drink, which is always fab. I'm currently drinking a peach smoothie from here and it is delicious! It's really sweet though so if you aren't into that kind of thing you should avoid. I happened to also love the music they were playing. It was all 2000s rock... took me back to middle school days watching TRL lol

The decor changed and it was a tad bit better, but honestly they need to find someone who knows what theyr doing. Their drinks are sooo good and fresh. REAL FRUITS! u don't see see a lot of those! I tried multiple drinks there and everything is good. Last time I tried their wings it was horrible but I really bought honey mustard wings n it was so freakin good. 10/10 would buy again!

Upon entering, Lattea doesn't make the best impression due to its rather dark, worn atmosphere (I can't even remember if the lights were on... maybe in the hallway but not in the main area). It doesn't have that shiny, bright, new appeal to it. But that is not the most important thing. What about the tea??? When I saw they had matcha milk tea on the menu, I was intrigued. To clarify, this is matcha-FLAVORED (using powder, I assume) jasmine milk tea. The guy asked me how sweet I like it. I said "Not too sweet." I know that is open to interpretation. Shortly after, he brought out the tea to me (I was standing across the room, so that was nice... I was expecting him to call me to the counter). The tea itself was on point. Not too sweet, just like I wanted. It was creamy and smooth... perfect. I don't know any other places that have matcha-flavored milk tea so I will definitely be back for this drink. The tapioca was a different story, however. It just... wasn't good. It was way overcooked and some balls were tasteless while others had a very weird overly sweet taste to them. I ended up finishing as much of the drink as I could and leaving most of the tapioca in the cup. I would say next time, I would either skip the toppings altogether or go for jelly, but definitely not tapioca. They do 10% off your purchase for every check-in, so that is nice.

Lattea is one of the many cute Asian-influenced cafes in the Duluth area. In addition to boba, they also have ice cream, fruit teas and many of the typical Taiwanese street snacks. The bubble tea here is mediocre. Personally, I think the drinks are a bit on the sweeter side, and I also don't particularly enjoy the way they cook their tapioca bubbles - they're miniature sized so you always get a huge mouthful with every sip. As a result, I usually get a simple taro milk tea with grass jelly here. Based solely on the drinks and snacks here, I would've given Lattea a solid 3-stars. However, their hours and environment caused me to bump the rating up another star. Unlike Boba Mocha and Quickly, Lattea has late hours. They close at 2am on weekdays and 3am on weekends, so it's always convenient stopping by for a late night snack. As for the environment, I agree that the lighting isn't the most aesthetically pleasing, but I love the fact that they have an entire corner dedicated to playing cards to encourage customers to stay. After a double date at Dave and Buster's across the street, we decided to drop by Lattea for a quick, refreshing bubble tea before ending the late night - thanks to the playing cards, we ended up sharing another good solid hour of fun. :)

I discovered this place from ScoutMon that offers 50% off deal. It's located on busy street of Pleasant Hill Rd. in the same plaza as Sydney's Buffet, across the street from Gwinnett Place Mall. The inside of the store could be more brighter and cheerful which is why I am giving it 4/5 score. I love their taro bubble tea :) I like mine without boba (black jelly balls on the bottom) and light ice. For my friend and I getting small taro bubble tea, using the ScoutMob deal, our total was around $3. Not bad.

Absolutely one of the best little shops in duluth. Great atmosphere, great customer service, and great product. Im a regular and im obsessed with the house (black) tea with tapioca bubbles. Its my weakness. The fresh baked cookies are some of the best ive ever had and you truly havent lived until youve tasted the unbelievable cake. This is THE go-to tea place for anyone who likes bubble tea, quality real fruit smoothies, milk teas, or even hot teas. And lets not forget to mention 50 cent wings on wednesdays!!!!!!!

If you live in the Duluth/Lawrenceville area, this is a great place for boba. I've tried a few different flavors but my favorite is the Mango Fruit Tea. It is freshly blended with real fruit. It is delicious.I discovered it through Scoutmob (50% off your purchase). There are so many flavors of fruit teas, smoothies, milk teas, yogurt teas etc. Definitely worth a shot if you want boba teas!

Since snow mountain is so far away and quickly is just alright... I manage to find another favorite bubble tea place! Lattea is now my go to place for bubble teas! I love love their house special black milk teas with red bean budding. My boyfriend is also a fan! He is addicted to their fresh fruit slushies! Its just soo goood! :) Give it a try! I didn't give this place five stars because I don't really like their tapioca. Its not consistent. One day I will get soft tapioca and the next really hard ones. So now I just usually get other stuff besides tapioca. Oh and whenever im sick I always get the honey aloe green tea! Its best hot or cold. :)

Updated review! I stopped by last night after Iron Age with a few friends. I ordered the Mango Milk Tea, and so did my other friend. When he got his, he couldn't stop raving about how delicious it was, which made me excited for mine (I ordered after him). I wasn't disappointed! The only thing I wasn't too happy about are the bobas. They were a little chewy for my liking, but I didn't mind it too much. This was a big upgrade from my last experience! I also love how they have cards available for us to borrow. I'll be back for sure!!

Came here because of scoutmob. Mango yogurt tea- reallyyyyy sweet. I couldn't finish the whole thing and I have a pretty big sweet tooth. fried shirataki mushroom- overly greasy but has a nice texture. I wish they would cut the mushroom into smaller bite size pieces though. The giant chewy pieces kinda ruin the eating experience. Fried Ice cream- nice crispy exterior which is something I look for in a good fried ice cream. But the dough was so thick. Not only that, it was also salty? I think the oil they use to fried it in is old because the ice cream dough picked up the residual flavors from the fried foods. My bf also ordered a drink which he only drank a third of. It had no flavor what so ever. This place has the weirdest music. It alternates between korean pop, and R&B or hip hop.

I've been a regular here since latte a first opened. The place started with a great boom. The drinks were awesome but slowly after time they didn't put effort into their drinks. I stopped coming for a while now. I found a scout mob for this place and I thought I'd give it a try again. I found out they changed owners 9 months ago. Great news! Maybe their drinks are better. I walked in and felt like I was attacked by all the things on the wall. There really wasn't any organization. I ordered a peach mango pineapple smoothie and re consistency of the drink was great. It wasn't too icy. And the drink it self was good. The only thing was that it felt like I had to put in extra effort into drinking it. This place isnt really outlet friendly nor is it a place to study. This was one those places I'd stop by for a drink and not spend time there.

Great bubble tea and snacks I got the chicken nuggets which were great and always go for the taro milk or tapioca milk tea. Big portions, very cheap and the best tea / snacl house ive found in this area thats an easy stop off the 85

After seeing a Scoutmob deal for Lattea, I decided to stop by. Couldn't hurt, right? Well. Let's see. My family and I ordered a taro milk tea with pudding, a taro milk tea with tapioca, a honey ginger green tea, and two orders of chicken nuggets. Starting with the taro milk tea - my dad said he prefers Quickly and Sweet Hut. As for the tapioca, my mom had to switch out her drink because the tapioca wasn't cooked all the way through and was hard. She switched it out for the Thai tea, which she said tasted like straight powder (if that even exists). My honey ginger green tea tasted like nothing but sugar, water, and ginger. I suppose I need to start ordering less sugar, because 100% sugar was like diabetes in a cup. The chicken nuggets are nothing like Quickly's. They were essentially tasteless and you had to dip it in the hot sauce they give you (which, I will give them credit for). The dining area isn't very cozy and the lighting is terrible. Also, why are napkins kept behind the counter? Every time I needed more I had to go ask. The girl behind the counter was not all too friendly either, but at least they said they would switch out the drink. Oh, don't get me started about the bathroom. Absolutely disgusting. In the women's restroom, the toilet seat was up, and the toilet rim had stains that looked like the thing hadn't been clean in weeks. The floor was dirty and paper was everywhere. For a business that doesn't seem to have man customers the least they could do is clean the place up a little.

when I first tried this place in January, it impressed me high scale, but overtime I would say this place has degraded. idk if the management has changed for this business, but whoever has control now is horrible - I forgot when this was but one day at the end of summer 2013, when I came back here, everything was different, the workers, the tables and chairs, the interior design, the wall decor, the atmosphere, and not to mention the quality of the food. I usually came here for the fried ice cream and now it's not even considered fried ice cream -.- it literally looks and tastes like they stuffed the ice cream in bread and made it look cute with sprinkles and whipped cream and strawberries. I really wished they didn't change anything about this place, I'm never coming back.

At first, we didn't think the place was open - maybe it was the lighting or something, but it kinda felt sketchy going up to the place. The storefront itself didn't really have your typical boba shop feel. The menu are just laminated paper taped to their counter. When it came to ordering, I'm not sure if the guy was deaf or not, but we had to repeat our order several time, and it wasn't anything complicated - just milk tea. My brothers and I order the regular milk tea and their jasmine milk tea. I personally thought it was too creamy and too sweet. I had to let my ice melt a bit and let it dilute a bit so that it would be better. Would I come back here if I was in town again? Probably not.

Went for the first time on Saturday to go out and chill at the new, replacement "BP Car Meet" and grabbed a few drinks while we were there. I would have to say the drinks are not as great and they are pretty slow getting drink orders out. I'd still give this place another try since they are relatively new and still picking up on what business is like. Lattea car meets are every Saturday roughly around 8pm. Don't forget to stop in and support the business :]

This place isn't as bad as some of my fellow Yelpers are putting it to be. Desserts: Their dessert are good and pricing is just right for the portions. I've tried: -Icy Panda (the grass jelly was awesome texture-wise; it was chewy and soft) -Red Bean Sago (sweetened perfectly) -Banana Split (pretty big. I was with my cousin and sister and we couldn't finish it) Boba Tea: I haven't tried any I like yet here. - I tried the House Special Milk Tea with tapioca once, but it really wasn't any different from a normal Black Milk Tea with tapioca. Their milk teas are okay. - I ordered a Thai Tea once and it's just straight up bland. I didn't really taste the thai tea. -I've also tried the Honey Black Tea with egg pudding. The drink was okay, but the server added too much honey, which made the drink super sweet than it should've been. Plus, the egg pudding is made sweet (I think). I'll try other drinks in the years to come, but for now-- not my favorite for boba tea. Desserts: -Nuggets are fried properly and lightly breaded (which I like), but the only problem is that it's on the bland side with the seasoning/spice. If they had a better seasoning then I'd definitely love them. -I also tried the calamari. Perfect sliced chunks deep-fried. BUT, the breading was kind of hard to chew. If it was softer and crispy then it would've been better. -The cuttlefish balls are amazing. No complaints. Overall, not a bad place to hang out and grab drinks/snacks. Still things to work on such as seasoning, breading, and making drinks just right/ consistent.

I wanted to like this place.... I really did. Especially after the demise of Mr. Tea House, I wanted to find a good Chinese tea place. Unfortunately Lattea was not up to par. The hubs and I came here to try their drinks. He ordered the avocado smoothie and I got the yogurt peach tea. Both were WAY TOO SWEET, having been flavored with syrups (because they didn't taste natural). I could only drink 1/4 of my regular cup, and couldn't drink anymore. The avocado smoothie was also way too icy, and didn't taste like real avocado. Sad... I won't be here again. Oh well.

This place is amazing. They are open till 3am on the weekends and almost as late on the weekdays. Great customer service and great people all around. I've been a fan of Snow Mountain, Quickly and Bento's, but this place is my number 1 spot. House special is great. Tastes a bit like black milk tea but a bit more flavor. Try the taro smoothie, it's amazing. The tastes is all natural (and I mean NATURAL, not from powder) consistency and texture is what you would expect out of a taro smoothie that isn't blended into a complete liquid keeping the consistency. Milk teas aside, I would recommend their sweet potato fries and the fish balls as a snack. All else, definitely should check it out if you're in the duluth area.

I've heard of this place from my sister, Angela H. She told me that the boba drinks were good . The first time I visited I didn't drink any of the boba drink only because I wasn't in the mood. Yesterday night was a great night for me, since my sister, Angela was wanting to drink the boba tea from Lattea and we were also in the area. I looked at the menu. I read the menu and saw that there were some flavors I was interested in trying, but I wanted something sweet and simple. I also saw that they have chocolate milk tea. Yet I didn't choose that flavor. I was about to order the Black Milk Tea, but Angela suggested I get the House Special and it tasted great! My palate was very pleased. Ha ha! So my sister ordered the regular sized House Special ($3.25 each) , three of them for her, my mom and me. Crystal H ordered the Thai Milk Tea with aloe vera jellies. I tried it and it tasted a lot like a familiar candy I once ate when I was a little girl.. weird... nonetheless, I enjoyed her tea, too. Since I really love the little boba balls at this place, I want to try the XL size!! Sugar over-load!! And also want to try the other flavors as well.

Delicious bubble tea! The iced matcha green tea latte was yummy, although it seemed more like a smoothie/frappe than a latte. The grass jelly is very soft and delicious. We tried the sweet potato fries, which were sprinkled in sugar. They were pretty good, but adding extra sugar made them a little too sweet. Last time I went I planned to buy the fresh taro smoothie but they didn't have fresh taro :( Apart from food, the store itself is very cute. There is a credit card minimum, and the seating availability isn't great. It should be possible to find a seat, but it can get crowded due to the small seating area and most of the seats are close enough to the door that you get a blast of cold air every time somebody walks in. They stay open so late! Excellent for a night of studying with sweets to get you through. Atlanta needs a 24 hour bubble tea shop!

Beat Quickly by a mile! I am telling ya... Best avocado shake in town. Blended wif real Avocado. Tapioca bubbles are fresh and chewy. 5-stars. Their food looks legit too. Sadly I don't have time for that. Will come back wif a group of 4 next time. Cute place for a date. ;)

Only been here once, but the milk tea is amazing. I got the green tea milk tea warm since it was a cold day out, and my goodness, it was amazing. Although it was a little pricier than I expected (only one size cup, so the large was a little expensive) and it's cash only for orders under 10 dollars, it was definitely worth it. The tea didn't taste like the powdered grossness or syrupy ickiness that it could have been. I was impressed! My friend got the lavender one and it tasted legit. I've heard the fruit teas are the ones that are powdered, so I was advised we stay away from those. The atmosphere was a little more sketch than I would like... maybe it was because it was after midnight. Which is another plus about this place, its open real late as well, later than Quickly's. I still prefer Quickly's... but this place wasn't bad, I'd like to give it another go whenever I'm in Duluth again.

I am not impressed with the place. The place is dirty and gross. I wouldnt sit there, i'd order to-go. Remodeling is a must. The night i went, they ran out of boba. i dont understand how a store that sells the stuff would run out. They should have continuously made batches throughout the day. I dont plan on going back.

I've left this place with some average bubble teas and with some exceptional ones. My last one, a matcha milk tea was sublime. And, I really like their tapioca pearls here as they are softer. Nothing worse than a chewy, hard bubble tea. The vibe has changed with the new owners of several months ago. It is friendlier these days. Their menu makes the whole place look cheap and cluttered. They would benefit from pulling an a professional designer for a consultation. I never feel like sitting here- not for a moment. It is a take and go type of place for me.

Over the winter break my brother and I had some time to kill and since Lattea had some good reviews from other yelpers, I decided to check it out. Since it was cold out, I didn't go for boba tea but got some citron tea. We sat down to work on our laptops and several of the tables were sticky. I think the guy was cleaning the grill or something. The place is a little on the small side IMO and the walls were harsh on the eyes. There was a tv playing random kpop videos. Did anyone else think it was weird there was that random room on the side hallway on the way to the bathroom that looked like a guy den? I do like that they have late hours. However, it was hard to get my work done because it was so small and every person who comes through is pretty close to you. I'll give it another shot sometime but its hard to say how it'll fare to its bigger competitors.

Totally overrated. I came here and got the lattea bubble tea and the chicken nuggets. The bubble tea was extremely sweet and the tapioca balls were overcooked.Maybe their house special bubble tea just isn't my thing. I would skip it. The Taiwanese chicken nuggets were served in this cute dish with a plentiful dusting of spicy powder. Unfortunately that's where the good news ends. The spice was non existent, the crust on the chicken was overly hard and not particularly crunchy, and the meat itself was pretty dry. In my opinion, both the bubble tea and Taiwanese chicken nuggets are better at the Duluth Quickly. If you want your taiwanese fast food fix, head there.

  • Joanna Q.

I've been to a lot of the bubble tea places around the area and this one is not my favorite. If I have a better experience I'll think about changing my review but I probably won't go back. What I like about the store is the service, its location, and its hours. The service was very friendly, apologetic when they had run out of tapioca balls, and offered service if we needed help. The location is also very close to the I-85 exit which is convenient. The place stays open VERY LATE. So if you're looking for a late night snack Lattea is always an option. What I didn't like so much was the atmosphere and the bubble tea. It seemed very cluttered with everything lying around like random toys and such and post-its all over the wall. The decor itself doesn't really go together either. I'm not a big fan of the bubble tea. The tapioca balls are mini and not to my preference.

I love this place! I just wish they wouldn't run out of the custard jelly so soon!! The new decor makes me sad as well because the colorful sticky notes were fun to read and look at.

Oh Lattea, I loved this place during 2011 when it was new. The House milk tea was the only reason I stopped by, and when they had the ruby jelly. Now, It went downhill maybe because other bubble tea places opened up. Last time I was here was when I tried the twilight mango, the most awful drink I've had. it wasn't sweet at all, i couldn't finish it. I thought the place is cute though, the interior is really bright and fun to look at. The people who work at the place are very friendly as well, which is why I gave 3 stars. They open until 2 a.m., which is great if you want to stop by somewhere late to get snacks or late desserts. I haven't tried any desserts such as fried ice cream and others, but the snacks such as the nuggets are pretty salty. I don't know when i'll be back, but if I am, I'll be sure to play it safe with the House Milk Tea. :)

Awesome Late-Night Hangout Spot!!! :) not only is this a place to go when everything else is closed, but it's a great place to get drinks and snacks. Tried: House Special Roasted Milk Tea w/ Grass Jelly Thai Tea Taro Milk Tea Virgin Lime-Tea-Nii Flaming Ice And bunch of others ! :) and no drink has let me down. They all are great! :D Not only are the drinks amazing, but the snacks are too! Fried calamari & Cuttlefish balls are some of my favorites :) along with Banana splits and Fried ice-cream! I have to give Lattea FIVE STARS because the drinks and snacks are AWESOME, LOW-PRICED, and the customer service is FRIENDLY ! :)))

This place is in the big shopping plaza behind the post office and Taco Bell, next to Ming's. I've been here twice and each time turned out to be mediocre so I probably will not be coming back for the bubble tea. In an area teamed with bubble tea/cafe type shops, Lattea's gotta step it up if they want to compete with Quickly's and Boba Mocha. The first time, I got the fresh taro after reading about it. It may be an acquired taste or I ordered it wrong but it tasted very strange to me. The bubbles were hard in the center and not at all fun to eat. I'm not sure if I finished the drink. It was a "1 star cautious sip drink." Second time, I checked in and used the 10% offer. I got a house special milk tea, curious to try the Chinese tea. This one was better, but it tasted really similar to Ming's Hong Kong Style Tea. I got grass jelly with it but some of the jelly had a coarse texture, which was weird. The drink was an overall 3.5 stars - average. While the interior ranks as one of the more cheery and interesting places I've seen (think Dan Moo Ji without Korean influences), the drink is not something I will be trying again. I may come back for the snacks in a couple of months.

Pretty good place. Not the cleanest place, but its open till 3am, the prices are reasonable. The boba is fresh and not old. Been here a handful of time and will continue until something else pops up to try. Definately give it a try.

As of this writing, I've been to Lattea 9 times and have only ever had 3 things: the black milk tea, the house special milk tea and the jasmine green milk tea (all with boba). It's not that selection is limited; they have pages and pages of menus on the glass at the counter. I've seen people get all sorts of drinks that look great, but I guess once I find something I like, I stick to it. Why change a good thing? As you can see from the Photos page, the inside of this place is all "cutesy." Ikea furniture, animal themed trash cans on many tables, Post-it's from customers envelop one of the walls (fun to read and look at while you're waiting for your order) and Chinese and hip-hop music play on the TV. Again, I've only ever had a few drinks, so this review is for those only. They do also have food available that maybe I'll try some day. The menu and (bubble) teas are pretty self explanatory. Lots of choices and combinations available: traditional tea flavors, fruitier flavors, milk tea/non-milk tea, less/more sweet, less/more ice, boba/grass jelly/etc, various sizes. Everyone likes their bubble teas a little different (less sweet, less ice if you're picking one up for me), but this place does their teas well, in my opinion. I think it's right on the same level as its popular competitor/high school hangout at Old Norcross Rd and Steve Reynolds Blvd. The service here is great too. They welcome all guests with a resounding, "Hello" (think Moe's, but less annoying) and the staff is super friendly. I wouldn't say I'm a regular by any means, but one girl I see working there almost every time I go in can already guess my order now. Fewer words spoken = bubble tea in my hand sooner. One final thing...this place has a 100 health inspection rating as of this writing. That's pretty damn hard to find these days. Wait. Two last things...this place is also open really late every single night. I don't live in the area, so I may not go there at 1am or 2am, but it's nice knowing that the option to get quality bubble tea is virtually always available.

Worse drink place I had in Atlanta ever!!! The stuff taste so artificial and like cough syrup. We ordered peach yogurt tea and my hubby and I both got stomach ache right afterward so does my friend who ordered panda milk. Never go back again. Be warned...

It's a nice place to just chill, chat with friends, and have some bubble tea. I like that they have a small separate room in the back where a small group of friends could have some privacy. They have cards too if you ever feel like playing 13 or speed with your friends :) Overall nice place, good food, and nice workers.

This place is hidden in the Mall Corners Shopping Center near Ming's BBQ. My usual go-to for bubble tea nowadays is Quickly's but I thought I would give this place a try. Nice variety of drinks to choose from. I tried the mango iced tea with popping boba. It was ok but pretty ridiculously sweet. The popping boba which are jelly things which pop in your mouth when you bite into them are a fun touch. Also a good selection of snacks but my friend and I decided to share a typical order of spicy chicken nuggets. Hate to compare... but I found Quickly's to be better. I ordered the house special black milk tea for my little sister to go. Now that's a drink I would come back for! Smooth and satisfying without being too sweet. Bumps this review up a star. The guy at the counter was also very friendly, which is a plus in my book.

Popped into this place last week and this week as Kungfu had seen on his Facebook feed that this place was opening (I don't even know how but I didn't question it). The first time we went in, we ordered a mango milk tea and a honeydew milk tea. It was the powder stuff (blech) and they gave us ice to the brim. The tapioca was soft and supple but the ice bothered me to the ends of the universe. I almost didn't come back ever again. As my sleeping schedule has been horridly screwed since a few days ago, I got really hungry around 1am, and we decided to give their hot pot a go as Mini Hot Pot 2 now closes at 12am :( We ordered fried squid balls, and for the following in the hot pot: beef tendon balls (4 to an order), fish balls (4 to an order), bok choy (5 pcs to an order), oyster mushroom (5pcs to an order), and corn (2 quarter ears to an order). When it came out, it was already cooked to my surprise. There was little broth at the bottom but it was spicy and delicious. I would recommend against the beef tendon balls and would probably sub either jumbo shrimp and an order of ramen next time. The fried squid balls were really yummy, they were chewy and had a sprinkle of house seasoning that they used to coat them. Definitely recommend getting some if you're dropping in for a snack. I think they're still in the process of getting settled in, so I still have to hold off judgment on their bubble tea but definitely grab some late night snacks here.

i tried to like this place. i really did. the owner guy is really sweet, friendly, and accommodating. he wants to make sure you're getting what you wanted/ordered. the first time i went, i asked for a passion fruit milk tea but it wasn't on the menu. so, the owner guy made it except it was with green milk tea instead of black milk tea. it was still good, though! i remember that the tapioca pearls were a good consistency, too. i don't know exactly when, but it started going downhill from there. i came here several times after my first good experience. the tapioca pearls got just worse and worse - they give SO MUCH (like, 1/4 of the cup!) and they are too soft and not chewy. i had to spit most of mine out. one of the more recent times, i ordered the passion fruit milk tea again. as soon as i took a sip, i immediately regretted it. it was too creamy and NOT refreshing at all. the tapioca was the same - too soft, unsweet, and unchewy (is that a word?). i threw it away as soon as i stepped out and lamented over the ~$3 i just wasted. sigh. when i came here yesterday, i got the house milk tea. the drink itself tasted good, but the tapioca pearls once again disappointed me. i asked for aloe too and there were maybe like 5 pieces in there. a few hours later, i went down south to buford area to get my bubble tea fix. sigh. BUT! the sweet potato fries are awesome here.

I really like this place. So far I have been here 3 times, each time I was greeted by friendly staff and both the drink and food are delicious. Hours: I saw on their door they open from 11am all the way to 3am the next day! Great place to hangout with friends at night! Location/Environment: Their store is very conveniently located on Pleasant Hill Road in the hhgregg shopping center. I like to stop by for a drink when I'm shopping around there. The store is clean, they have an open kitchen so I can see how they are cooking my food. A large TV right in the lounge with MTV playing all the time. They also have a super fast free WIFI available! Staff: There are 3 staffs when I went each time, everybody was very friendly. They give me some recommendations on the milk tea and hot pot since I was having trouble deciding what to get. Food: This is probably the most important. I tried three kind milk tea so far and they are all very well made. Tell them if you want less or more sweet and they will make it to your taste. The hot pot is also very good too. If you like spicy stuff, this is the place for you! They have pretty good portions, I can fill myself up for less than $10. They also have fried food and desert. Price: They have very competitive price. Compare to other Cafe shops I like Latten Cafe because for about the same price I can get much better food here instead of some boring bread or cake. Overall, I love this place. This is probably my new favorite place to go to for both snack and meal.

I'm really sad that some people are giving Lattea such low ratings. You're getting fried calamari for $3.50 a plate. It's not going to be some gourmet appetizer you get at high end restaurants but it is going to be pretty darn good. I've tried most of the things on their menus and they're all really good. I will say this, some days are a bit better than others. Their calamari is dusted with peppers and I think that's it. You can either put some lime on top or you can ask them for their *sweet and spicy sauce. darn good." The chicken nuggets are deeply fried and dusted with some kind of special powder that just makes them flavorful and amazing. Drinks: they have so many to choose from. I usually get their passion fruit x-large with lychee jelly, poppers (mango, lychee, strawberry, whatever they have that day),and tapioca. my hubby lovesss their taro milk tea. Overall, it's a great place to sit and hang out with friends without having to spend too much money. They're also open until 2 or 3 am. Last thing, the owners are AMAZING. they are so friendly and are always up to meet new people. If you have any problems or suggestions, they'll handle it. :)

Horrible... The vegetables are from a can, the meat is old and spoiled, got food poisoning from them. When we told them the food was bad we asked them how was it supposed to taste and the lady at the counter and the "cook" said the didn't know thy never had it. When we told them something was spoiled thy just said oh... Sorry.. We only had one bite... Bad food, bad service, go to one of the many other authentic Asian food restaurants in the area.

I ordered the avocado and taro bubble tea. I know places that make better avocado bubble tea, topped with whipped cream and a cherry too. As for the taro, it is REAL taro... not the powder. It's a good thing it's REAL taro, but then it wasn't really what I want. It was something different, I applaud them for trying to go out of the box. Then again, I rather have my starch on a plate and not in a cup with added sugar. After half way through a small, I got sick of it... and sick. Too much carbs maybe?

Don't waste your time at Lattea. The setting STRAINS my eyes (it's like a pastel Lolita nightmare) and the drinks & desserts are definitely sub-par to the other bakeries nearby.
