A decent place to grab a smoothie after a work out. A wide variety, and I mean spans the whole wall wide, of mixtures you can choose. The smoothies can be pricey, but buying fruit and yogurt are not cheap anymore either, keep that in mind. I like to drop in every once and awhile to support my local community.

This place well....it sucks. It's the only smoothie place in Douglasville though, so I have to make do with what's available. They're EXPENSIVE - for my son & I both a small (20 oz) smoothie - was $9.15!! However, they will make you whatever you want and their variety is pretty vast.

The Mango-Rific and the Crazy Coconut are both delicious picks. I can actually taste the fruit. The girls working were friendly and cute. They have power bars, snacks, protein powders plus other small items. If you're in the area and looking for a smoothie place I'd give this place a try

There are very few smoothie spots in Douglas county...Tropical Joes pretty much gets the job done...fresh fruit and a plethora of choices for those discriminating tastebuds...even when it's a little crowded, there is no wait...in and out in a jiffy...try them out if you're in the area!

Venue: Tropical Joe Smoothie's Decor: If you ever been into a Smoothie Place, they all look similar Service: It was ok. Sorta friendly. A little knowledgeable, had better. Environment: Laid back, Casual Food: Casuals Prices: They were ok Huge Pros: Location, multiple flavors Debbie Downers: The smoothie I had was simply not good in taste. Conclusion: I had the Acai berry flavored smoothie from Tropical Joe's. I've had this type of smoothie from other venues like Planet Smoothie and Smoothie King in the past . Both of theirs were very good. Tropcial Joe's......not so much. Along with the poor smoothie, I felt the service was average at best. The location is great surrounded by other stores and services in a major area of town. However, I may try another smoothie in the future to update this review. Off to a bad start. Overall: D

I got their green goddess "juice"-- and it's not so much a juice as it is a blended greens smoothie, but either way I'm getting my greens and its delicious!! I added ginger for some extra kick, and kicked it with a smile on my face while I enjoyed my little super "juice" blend. ;) yum! The only bad part is that the chunkiness at the end isn't drinkable... So minus one star.

After taking a small jog and feeling kind of hungry, i looked around chapel hill road for something to eat. I did not see much that fit my extremely healthy life style, until i looked into the old plaza between Johnny's and Provinos and read the sign that said "Tropical Smoothies". I am always skeptical about smoothie places with all these "flavorings" out now, but i figured i would give it a shot. I walked inside and felt a little more confurtable as i looked along the counter to see adds for marathons coming up and health foods along the counter and in the cooler. The menu made me feel even better, as the ingredients for each smoothie were all listed and were all very healthy. I ordered the blackberry bird, which was strawberry, blackberry, banana, and non-fat milk, and i also ordered a shot of wheat grass. I half expect her to use all of those flavoring pumps on the counter (which later i found out to be all natural juices. Sorry for making such quick decisions) but instead she grabbed some fresh fruit from behind the counter and threw it in there. It was awesome. And then came the wheat grass. I was very much suprised when i witnessed the lady behind the counter get actually wheat grass and grind it up until it was juice. Amazing! Though it was a bit expensive (about $6.50 for a medium), the portion size is huge! A small looks almost 24oz. And the medium was about 32! After paying i tasted the smoothie, and it was delicious. I drank down the wheat grass shot, and even it was not half bad. Next time, i will have to try one of the "Naturally Delicious" breads they had packaged on the counter (i read the ingredient list, and could actually understand most of them!) like banana nut, low-fat pumpkin spice, or one of the health cookies they had. So whether you are a very active person in need of a power smoothie, or if you just want something yogurty and fruity, i would recommend this small restaurant without doubt as probably one of the healthiest meal or snack places in douglasville. -Andrew D.
