The creators of Figo must be Rocket Scientists or Quantum Physicists! I love the radical concept at Figo Pasta: 1. Pick your pasta 2. Pick your sauce 3. Done. Game over. How ridiculously simple is that?!?! With plenty of locations in Metro Atlanta, it's hard to pass up a good italian pasta dish. Might I add, the pasta is served "al dente", magnifico!

My all time favorite pasta restaurant. Anything on the menu is amazing. There is a great relaxed atmosphere. The service is good but not over the top, which I like but others might not. All of the waiters I've encountered have had helpful and welcoming attitudes. The affordable pricing is also a bonus. I would most definitely recommend it for a family, couple, and even for business.

I know. A chain, and 5 stars? But it is a local chain. And seriously, you have to try their arrabiata sauce. Pretty much on anything. Like you could even try it on an old piece of tire from the side of the road and you would be like, "Damn, I never knew tire was so tasty!" I like it on Figo's cheese ravioli. Oh. My. Goddess. I've seriously never had a bad meal here, and the pasta is always perfect. I'm pretty picky about texture when it comes to pasta. Al dente has become a pretty common catch phrase, but for real- if it's gooey and overcooked I'm over it. Figo never disappoints on this point. Their pastas are always freshly prepared, and their sauces are killer as well. Salads are not too shabby either: the Caesar is topped with shaved Parmesan and the spinach salad is quite tasty with goat cheese and golden raisins. Yumm. The prices are pretty reasonable. I mean, I've been to Little Azio, which has a similar order at the window and choose your pasta and then your sauce setup, and Figo not only blows them out of the water in terms of taste but their prices completely knock them out as well. As for service, I've had variables here. The servers are mostly youngsters, so it can go either way. The music has been a little loud a couple times (while sitting inside). But when the food is so killer, it's hard to complain too much, and it's never been enough of an issue to make me say, "No more!" Much love to the Figo.

This is a great little pasta spot in the city of Decatur. Basically, you pick your pasta and your sauce...and it's made to order. Take out wait time is about 10ish minutes, dine-in is about the same. The workers are very friendly, and will help you with your selection. My fave dish is the Penne with Checca Fiorentina and a Pellegrino Limonata. Can't go wrong with that. :) In a nutshell, this is a great place for a meal that's low-key and budget minded with a great atmosphere. Check it out.

The braised short rib ravioli were very tasty and went quite well with the arabiatta sauce. I also had the Fritto Misto di Mare a nice blend of seafood and zucchini lightly battered and fried. The service was great; I ordered an unsweet tea not realizing it was flavored and when it was obvious by the server that I wasn't expecting and did not like what I got he quickly offered to replace it and when I chose to stick with water he reran the check to remove the tea. Very nice people and a nice little pasta shop.

The pasta at this place is excellent. Also, the first time we went here to eat, we got a free dessert from our waiter-like person, who then asked me out, which was flattering and everything, but we were pretty sure that he had a fake italian accents, which is just weeeeeird. Seriously. A fake Italian accent?! Creeeeepy! Um, and then the second time I was there I was basically assaulted by some other guy that works there (who granted, does NOT have a fake italian accent) who tried to claim that I had been to the restaurant sooo many times before (I had been two other times - in my entire life), which was a little stalker-y. That being said, their food is good, and I'm sad that I am now scared to go there.

Figo's is not my favorite place but my wife is in love with it. There's nothing wrong with it at all, the taste is great, the price is good and it's always wonderful, it's just not my favorite. You feel like you are dining upscale for a reasonable price.

This place was really fun. My brother and his wife took me when I visited them in Atlanta. It's a little bizarre. You order at a counter when you first come in. The menu is large and includes antipasto, soups, salads, panini, mix and match pastas/sauces, and desserts. They even have a wine list. We went with the mix and match and salads. Choice of pasta, choice of sauce, go get seated. Bread and olive oil/balsamic vinegar are brought out. My salad was the Mista di Campo. Mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, carrots, olives with a balsamic vinaigrette and shredded ricotta cheese. My brother got the Insalata di Spinaci e Caprino. Baby spinach with goat cheese and golden raisins topped with a honey balsamic walnut vinaigrette. The list of pastas and sauces is daunting. I picked a winning combination though. Tuscan sausage and apple ravioli with a Pecorino Romano cheese and cream sauce with lemon zest. Sounds good right? MAN, was it ever. My brother got a Carrot Ravioli with a fantastic sauce I can't remember and his wife got her favorite chicken alfredo served over penne al dente. I loved my dish and have been searching for a similar pasta experience back here in Detroit ever since. Just check out some of these dishes. Ravioli di Aragosta - Maine lobster ravioli in a light creamy lobster sauce with a hint of Sambuca. Zucca - Butternut squash and amaretto ravioli with a mascarpone and Italian red chicory radicchio sauce. Broccoli e Gamberi (sauce) - Broccoli, sun dried tomatoes and sautéed shrimp with minced garlic, red pepper flakes and white wine. Agnello, Olive e Rosmarino (sauce) - Ragu of lamb with kalamata olives and rosemary with Sardinian pecorino cheese. MAN, I want to go back so bad. And this is all from their winter menu that came out November of 2009. They should be switching it up soon for the spring and summer. Most dishes stay the same but some change. My only wish was for a slightly less expensive price. The mix and match pastas and sauces come out to $9 and other normal dishes can be as much as $12 and that's not counting any drinks, desserts, salads, etc. But to be fair, the quality was really good. I've never had a better tasting pasta/sauce combo. When I head back for another visit, Figo is tops on my list for dinner.

Good concept. Mediocre in execution. In general, pasta is consistently prepared. I will acknowledge that cooking fresh pasta in a fast paced environment is tricky. Unfortunately, the flavor is ho-hum. I feel it is over-priced. I also feel that their wine selection is absurdly poor. there are so many great italian wines that retail between $6 - $15. why sell crap? their wine rep is doing them a significant disservice they need to add a classic italian dish for those who want to dine on light, but flavor packed nirvana - Bresaola with Arugula

Have always loved this place. The soups, the salads, the pasta, and the service are all good. The prices for what you get are great. Oh by the way they are about to have Lavaza Coffee. I cant wait to try it.

I'm giving this place only 3 stars simply because my entree did not impress me. It was indeed the pasta del giorno, BUT here's the thing. You order at the window and then you seat yourself and they serve you the food. They have blackboard specials or concoct your own pasta or salads and what have you. The environment is warm with shattered pottery walls and a golden din of restaurant noises. The service is excellent. It is Italian by way of pellegrino aranciata and limoncata (something like that). The walls are deep orange with vintage Campari posters and the like. They serve bread and olive oil. The BREAD was killer. I wanted to order more and more BREAD. But, I stopped myself and just tried to slowly savor a couple of pieces. My pasta du jour turned out to be POTATO ravioli. It smelled lusciously garlicky BUT, there was also a faint seafood thing that I was getting out of so I was kind of confused and ended up eating only half the dish. The seafood thing started to weird me out since it was POTATO ravioli. Maybe they gourmet 'd it up with some oyster sauce or something...anyway, the yuppiness and hipness of it all definitely makes me want to give it another chance. See for yourself and give it more stars than me. :)

Like Fellini's in my last review, Figo is another Atlanta mini-chain. I'm going with three stars, even though this is one of my girlfriend's favorite places to eat. The lasagna is pretty good, but without fail (at multiple locations) they always burn the edge of it and I end up having to carve those parts off. The egg pasta is tasty, but for whatever reason it seems to give me a little bit of heartburn. The cheese-stuffed ravioli has been the surest bet for me here. The tirimusu for dessert is a highlight, it's excellent. This location has cramped seating inside, though that hasn't been an issue at other locations. All locations irritate me a little with the pay-first model. If I don't have cash for a tip, I end up having to tip beforehand, which irritates me because I end up giving an average tip before I know how the service is going to turn out. Most of the time the service is good to above-average, but once or twice it hasn't been good.

I've never had a bad meal here. I love Italian and hate tomatoes, so Italian is tricky for me. The crab ravioli with zucchini & shrimp white wine sauce is so incredible I order it every time. I'm sure that there are other delicious things on the menu; I don't care. Glass of wine, bread with a little olive oil & pepper, then dinner: I'm always pleasantly satisfied, never feel over-stuffed or like I need to take a 1,000-year nap afterwards. My husbands loves FIGO too, but for the life of me, I cannot recall what he orders.

Great and cheap italian place. You walk in, order the type of pasta you'd like, the sauce on that pasta, and sit down. They bring it out, and you tip them when you're done. It is very much like an ordinary restaurant with a little more "tasty" and "mmm hmm." Pasta $3, Sauce $3, Salad $3.

This is a nice alternative to dining out. You may need some time to decide how the menu works though. Ask questions, the folks who work there really don't mind.

I love this place! It would be great for a first date for a college student, because it has good ambiance, and the food is pretty yummy, and it's reasonably priced. Plus you get to eat bread dipped in olive oil, which to me seems fancy. All that for around $10 a person. I went on a Friday night, and the place was pretty full but not too loud. The food takes almost no time to come out, we weren't even finished with our salad when the entrées arrives at the table. Most importantly, the food was yummy! I had a spinach salad with golden raisins and goat cheese. I hate raw spinach, and am not a fan of salad, but this was really yummy and very light. FYI, the "regular" size salad was big enough to be shared with another person. A small is probably enough for one. I also had a daily special, which was a mushroom risotto. It was very good, but the rice was a little crunchy and there was a LOT of cream. I couldn't eat more than 10 bites because it was pretty heavy. My friend had the eggplant parm, and it came out without any pasta. He was disappointed that for $9, he got a big chunk of baked eggplant and no pasta to go with it. I tried some, and the eggplant was really really really good! I loved it! Overall, I loved the good service, good food, and bread with olive oil! Def will go back!

Im the duke! I love Figo, I got turned onto it at the Vinings location because its next to my office and has a big patio with a big tree over it (that could even make McDonald's appetizing). Thankfully this place doesnt really need that to make me eat the food. Its a good deal, its a little different layout for most people so expect a long line at lunch time full of people trying to figure out how to order. Once you get up there its mix and match on the pasta (can end up being more expensive than you intended) or you can get one of the awesome paninis. Wash it down with some Limonata. That is pretty much all I do, sorry I cant speak to the breadth of the menu as I am a creature of habit. You tip at the counter (and you should) and then its table service from there. They bring your drinks, food and refills from there on. Ive always had a good service experience there, another one of those "nothing to complain about" scenarios. This Decatur location is tucked away so it seems to be always dead, hope it survives. Its really clean and new and their patio is more of a 3 season setup (roof, heaters, enclosable wall) but its still open enough to watch the little lizards dart around the rock garden out front.

Went with my husband and two year old son around 830 on Friday night. Staff was friendly, not too crowded. (They close at 930)... Ordered the mozzarella in bread carriage- super yummy, not too heavy. Great marinara sauce. Yummy Caesar salad is covered in shaved parm and homemade croutons. Hubby had the traditional lasagna w béchamel. Cheese on top was a little burnt but otherwise it was delicious, and at $9, a steal. I ordered the build your own pasta, with crab ravioli and a lemon Romano cheese sauce- very lovely! Fresh bread and olive oil at the table. If I had checked in on four square before I was seated, I could've used the current four square special, 10% off an entree. We will definitely be back.

I loved Figo when they first opened. Great service, nice atmosphere, decent food. I moved out of state for three years and just returned home. I was in the mood for some comfort food so settled on pasta. I ordered linguini with pomodora sauce. It was sticky and bland. I think they ran out of sauce because my pasta was barely covered with it. I could not finish it. I expect restaurant food to generally taste better than what I can whip up at home. I think my 8 year old niece has produced better food. Waste of money.

Service was great, atmosphere was nice but if your specialty is pasta, make the effort! This was my first time here, all excited about the "special menu of sauces" only to find out you barely get any sauce. Not saying you have drown the noddles in sauce but can you at least cover them? I order the sauce with the chicken and bell pepper in it. I had two cubes of chicken and a piece of bell pepper, come on people!

I love this restaurant. It's so cute and has delicious food! The food is uber awesome, so you know if you're in high-school (like me) and have a date or whatever...it's pretty reasonable. Not to mention order the san pellengrino water in orange...it's awesome!

I've been to several Figo locations in Atlanta, and decided to come here last night with the hubby since we had a buy 1 get 1 free coupon. (I don't think I'd pay for a $9-10 bowl of pasta otherwise, unless it was REALLY good). I got the gnocchi with funghi sauce. The husband got a long pasta (forgot the name exactly) with Amatriciana sauce (Pancetta with vine-ripened tomatoes, fiery peperoncino and virgin olive oil). I did not like the gnocchi... It was way overcooked, and the shape kind of reminded me of maggots. It was hard to swallow because it felt so heavy going down my esophagus. The mushroom sauce also wasn't very flavorful. I added a lot of ground pepper to make it more palatable. The husband liked his selection for the most part, but wished for more goods in his sauce (it was basically an all-carbs meal). We also wish the portions were bigger. It feels like every time I go to Figo, I'm disappointed. Sure, I may not be the biggest pasta lover in the world, but I still can appreciate good pasta. Unfortunately, Figo's pasta just doesn't cut it for me.

Every now and again I get a hankering for fresh pasta. Having been to a Figo Pasta location before, I remembered that they have fresh pasta. But I could not remember if it was good or not. So I decided to make a return trip to the chain. I went to the location near downtown Decatur since it is close to home. I actually like the order and pay first concept...keeps things moving quickly. The person at the register greeted us quickly and offered to help explain anything if needed. The person I was with wanted chicken alfredo but it wasn't listed on the menu. The cashier said that they could create it by using their alfredo sauce with whatever pasta he wanted and they would bring out some sliced chicken that he could add to the dish. This seemed like an easy enough fix so he ordered the "chicken alfredo". I ordered the short rib ravioli with arribiata sauce. The ravoli was tasty. Not as good as the raviloi that I have had at Maggianos. But you could taste the freshness of the pasta. The arribiata sauce was really good; imagine a good tomato sauce with a little heat and slightly chunky. I will definitely try this sauce with other pastas. My friend's chicken alfredo was not as good. The chicken was tender and seasoned well, but the pasta was dry (could have used more alfredo sauce). Also the sauce itself was a bit bland. We found that adding some of the fresh ground salt and pepper went a long way in rescuing his dish. The morale of the story: if they don't have it on the menu, it is best not to order it. The service was definitely four star and the place was not too crowded or noisy. A great spot if you just want to get out on a Saturday but avoid the crowds and get some grub quickly. I will be back to try other pasta and sauce combos. The food is good. I'm sure that it is all about finding the right combo that suits your tastes.

I've been a devoted lover of Figo since I discovered it in college. I was lucky enough to go to school at Agnes Scott, so I could walk to Figo. The pasta is always amazing and the price can't be beaten. My favorite is the gemelli with the funghi (mushroom alfredo) sauce. For $9, I can eat two meals from the portion they give me. I would also recommend the caprese appetizer. It also easily makes for 2-3 portions. It's great for families, couples, or anyone who loves good food and a friendly place to eat. If you don't feel like sticking around, their takeout is just as good as what they serve to the sit down customers.

So, Emily K. who is an IRL friend of mine, loves her some Figo. Figofigofigo. Figofigo. It's kind of like that scene in Being John Malkovich, but it's Emily and she's talking about Figo. I like it alright, it's not my least favorite pasta place, but I think that the simple fact that it is a pasta place means they need to step it up to make it a unique experience. I feel like I could probably make half the menu at home and for less money. DISCLAIMER: I haven't been in a while and a glance at the menu makes me think they've changed the pricing structure a little... that, or I was always too intrigued by the specials board. That being said, if you decide to try it out (and by all means, do, I don't pretend to know what's best for anyone) I recommend the raviolis and the Bolognese and Amatriciana sauces. Yeah, I know, this one's short-- good news, I've got other reviews!

Occasionally when we want good pasta, great sauce, and a nice-enough atmosphere we stop by Figo, but after our last visit, I think we might start coming more often. You walk in, look at some menus they have laying around, and then order at the front. It's not fancy, but the lighting and pretty outdoor sitting makes up for it quickly. The spinach, feta and cranberry salad is one of my favorites. I order it almost every time I go, and I don't even remember the other salads on the menu. If you want something a little sweet but light and refreshing, I suggest this salad. The Zuka (spelling?) pasta is my mom's favorite, and I have to admit the sauce on it is very good, even if I'm not a squash person. I've ordered the four cheese ravioli several times, with different sauces and I have to admit it's very good. Last night, i was on a bit of a budget, so i ordered the artichoke ravioli without any sauce (since sauce is an extra 4 or 5 bucks) and I just had them put a tiny bit of butter on it. I have to say, I can't imagine ordering anything other than the artichoke ravioli from now on. It was SO CREAMY! The ravioli was spinach (i think) and inside the creamy artichoke blew my mind. Just a little bit of butter and some of their freshly ground pepper sealed the deal for me. I will be coming back more often, after that artichoke ravioli.

I am a huge fan of the Figo family of restaurants. This was my first time at this particular location but they did not disappoint. This is a great place to get a good pasta meal at a great price. The gnocchi is done right, which is hard to do on a large scale. All the sauces and pastas are well done you just need to find the one you like. This is not a table ordering type of place. I like that but I guess some don't. I have actually seen people walk out because of this. However it does make it easy to split checks. I have had great service at every location.

I've been eating at one Figo location or another since I moved to Atlanta, but this was my first time at this location. Figo is known for handmade pasta with a variety of sauce options served up with a casual hipster flair. This particular incarnation is true to form, but thing just seemed a bit off during my visit. The tables were sticky, the staff was less than attentive, and although it was still tasty, my lasagna looked like it had spent more time than it deserved in the warmer. On the plus side, the bruschetta was delicious, and my wife's pasta with mushroom sauce was top-notch. I'm willing to give Figo the benefit of the doubt, because I always have such a great experience at their other locations, but I notice I'm not the only reviewer who finds the service to be a bit spotty here.

Really good bread with olive oil. This place is pretty laid back and smelled delicious, but it was a pretty standard casual pasta place and quite pricy!! My entire group of friends was sooo freezing in this place on a hot summer day, it took us about an hour to thaw out after our dinner. Good to try once but not more than that.

Great variety and selection of different pastas and sauces. Good service and nice areas to sit and eat. They have specials which are always interesting and you can choose where you want to sit. Instead of a number to let waiters know where to bring food, they give you a hand-painted pepper grinder.

Figo on College Ave is a little bit of a paradox, set in a rustic-styled wood paneled structure, and adorned with art objects recalling the homeland, yet with art-deco-ish signs and displayboards. Modern twists on traditional styles of decor. Strangely, that describes the food quite well too! The food is mix and match -- giving an assembly line feel to what is normally presented as dishes unto themselves. The food is flavourful and zesty, but not particularly complex/subtle in its nuances -- the food is available for reasonable prices. We've had take out from Figo a number of times, and it has been met with approval. I can't rave about it though -- and I'm torn between giving it a 3 for the food quality, and a 4, when factoring in its price point (low end of 2 dollar signs). Let's call it a 4 minus.

Casual atmosphere with an unmistakable aura of elegance. Five star fare at a three star price. The food is excellent and the service is fast and friendly. I highly recommend the dry capellini pasta with lemon pecorino sauce. Nice and light but very filling.

Service: Like others mention, it's a pay first model and then you seat yourself; the down-side is you have to guestimate a tip up front if you do not have cash. Then water and bread is brought out to the table. Unfortuantely, they have not figured out it would be better to add ice to the cups then to allow all the ice to go in the first glass that gets served water. Pricing: Entrees will range from $8-$12 depending what you order. Every component is individually priced from salads, to additional meat on the salads, pasta, and sauce types. They have a few entrees, like lasagna, that are a flat price. Atmosphere: Location offers in-door and out-door seating. I found in the indoor dining area to be a bit cramp. If you sit at the booths, it will be constantly be rocked as others come and go. The place looked clean. Food: The waiter(-tress) brings out bread and places a place down with olive oil to dip. Unfortunately, they have not learn the art of "seasoning" the olive oil with crack pepper and other spices to give the dip a kick. The bread they use is very oily and bland. Perhaps a classic french bread would have been sufficient and good with or without the oil. I selected lasagna for my main course. The portion size was "bleh" given the $8 price tag. This will not have any ricotta for you die-hard hearty lasagna fans; it is actually very "light" since they use the egg-noodles. The taste was okay but nothing extravagant. The sauce was just okay too. I will not rush back to this place but likely would go again with a coupon or some sort of discount. It's not the worst and not the best. The atmosphere is relaxed and it's right outside the Square. I recommend with average reservations; if you are expected just an average pasta meal, this will fit the bill.

I love this place. The caprese salad, the mushroom sauce with ravioli. One of my favorites. You order at the counter. Pick your pasta and a sauce you would like on it. A waiter will bring your drinks, bread for the table, etc, unlike some places where you order at the counter and then you are on your own, the staff here tries to make sure you are taken care of. Sometimes the service leaves something to be desired. And I always have to ask for the balsamic vinegar for the bread/ olive oil plate. But it's still really yummy.

I usually go to the edgewood location and love it! However, beware of this location. The service is extremely spotty and one time I went in the middle of finals (not a lot of time, hence why I didn't cook pasta at home myself) and they got my order wrong. They didn't even offer to fix it and it is just annoying when customer service is that bad, especially when you can tell the customer is upset. Also, the food at this location is not as fresh as the others.

More disgusting tales from this dump called FIGO: So my friend didn't believe how terrible this place was. She was not convinced about the hot garbage they shovel onto plates and charge money for. She had to see this shit show for herself and man, did she get an eyeful. She went last night and was totally grossed out! Not only was the service still terrible and rude and slow, but the food disgusting and a HAIR was in her salad AND there were human feces smeared in the bathroom and evidence of roach droppings as well. The owner is a complete liar and shyster, told us they'd refund the money we spent on this horrible crap and it's been two months and still nothing - no call, no email, nothing. Completely shady untrustworthy and for cryin' out loud - DON'T EAT HERE! So, to recap: Bad food Bad service Filthy conditions Roaches Complete liars as management to handle PR Sounds like a winning combination to me!

I had every intention of posting my review here anyway, and after reading the most recent post by someone else I felt I HAD to- it was so incredibly offensive. I ate there with hubby on a recent Sunday night- it was quiet, which is what we wanted anyway. I've eaten at several other locations, and found the experience on par with the rest- which is to say pleasant. Mind you, a 20+yr veteran of the industry, I can walk into any restaurant and see how it's run I'm the first few minutes- this place has a few hiccups in it's efficiency, but the staff is sincere and the food is good. Mozzarella in Carozza? Dangerously yummy fried cheese! The bread was room temp, but fresh. Ravioli in a butter sauce- rich and tasty, not too much, just the right portion size. It's a small dining room, but it's got a lot of character, and a brief chat with the manager, a friendly gentleman, revealed an upcoming renovation. Can't wait to see that! And by the way? The bathrooms were spotless- some people just don't realize you get way more flies with honey than with vinegar, and using foul language in an online review of all places accomplishes nothing. Don't mind the haters, this place has authentic Italian character.

Above average lunch. Good salad, good fresh Ravioli, and good quick service. I will be a regular here.

I live very close to the Decatur Figo, so I've been here several times. While their pasta is not award winning, it is undoubtedly above average (at least)... Their portions are just right for one person, and their bread dipped in olive oil is really good. Service is pretty good and the servers are polite and courteous. I am really looking forward to future visits.

It's been a while since I've been to Figo, but from what I remember it was pretty good. The twist Figo puts on its pasta is that you choose your pasta from a variety (including whole wheat), you choose your sauce and then they mix it all up and bring it out to you. They also have all the standard Italian staples too - ravioli, soup, salad, spaghetti and meatballs, etc. But the "make your own pasta" is the real draw. I tend to go for the whole wheat with some kind of protein like shrimp or chicken, so I was a little disappointed that the protein options were limited if you didn't feel like ragu or bolognese or something heavy-ish like that. I went with the broccoli and shrimp in white wine sauce last time I was there. Another nice touch is they bring bread out and olive oil to dip it in. It makes the place a little more upscale even though you order and pay first. It's fine for a quick, inexpensive bit, but not my first go-to when I have a carb craving.

I have been to both the Decatur and Edgewood location and both places have fantastic service and great food. My favorite dish is the crabmeat ravioli with the Funghi sauce. I have also tried their panini sandwiches for lunch. They are always hot and delicious. The people that work there are always very friendly. I will definitely be back for more soon.

For it's price point, this place definitely deserves 4 stars. $8 for a plate of fresh pasta and delicious sauce/topping/etc.? That's a great deal. Especially in college, it's a wonderful place to eat well in a nice atmosphere for relatively little money. As others have said, you pick your pasta and then you pick your sauce. There's waiter service for everything once you've chosen and paid for your main course and drink at the counter. I agree with others that service leaves something to be desired, but again, pretty well priced place so not really troublesome for me. Spinach and goat cheese salad is my favorite. Also love the gnocchi, the bolognese sauce, the spicy chicken sauce, and the lemon parmesan sauce. The sandwiches are not great so I don't recommend them. As many of my reviews state, I'm living in Berkeley, CA and I totally wish we had a place like this!

Late lunch here today at Figo #4. Same menu/decor as all of the other Figos. The difference at this location is that Matt works here. Matt took our order, recommended the proper pasta for my wife's sauce of choice (angel hair for the tomato and olive oil - yep), brought our food, refilled our drinks and cashed us out. All of this with a friendly attitude and a sincere appreciation for our business. Feel free to get your information about the food/decor/price etc... from the other reviews. I just wanted to get on here and tell everyone about Matt - he was top notch.

Great crab bisque. Enjoyed the ravioli and the Caesar salad. If you're an Emory student, ask for the Emory discount with your ID. Great for a low key meal and good atmosphere for chatting. Really like their outside seating. Awesome manager!

We love figo and it is very kid friendly. It is a guarantee that our kids are going to eat well and the staff is always on the ball. Can't beat for price. Love it!

Deeeelicious. So many options. Portions aren't overwhelming, so you don't leave feeling bloated/regretful. Staff is always friendly and patient as I carefully consider all options. Artichoke ravioli with pesto? You need to just put on some pants and head over for that right now.

It almost pains me to only give FIGO 3 stars. This use to be my go-to favorite place to eat whenever I visited Decatur; however, it is just not as good as it used to be. I always get the Checca Fiorentina with either fusilli or rigatoni pasta. This time the pasta was overcooked and the quality of the mozzarella was just not as good as it use to be. Their wine selection is limited and the desserts were just ok. On the positive side, they have added a cover to the outdoor seating so you can sit outside even when it is raining (which we did). They are also under new management/ownership (we met the new guy) so hopefully he can bring FIGO back to it's original quality.

The pasta noodles are not al dente. Twice my noodles come out sticky and mushy. The servings are small.

Another one of my favorite places to stop in for lunch. They are usually pretty fast with the service. The lunch special is well priced and easy to order. The only set back that happens some times is they are out of items. Apparently the coconut ginger soup is something that is prepared and sent to the location so they do not make it in house. This was a little off setting for me, but it still has always tasted well when I have order. Usually I will get the four cheese sauce with fussili, it holds the sauce on the pasta well with all the twist. I am also a fan of the cappresse salad. It is a great mouth watering zing of flavors and fresh ingredients. It is a place worth stopping by for a pleasant disconnect from the busy work day lunch break. One caution I would say is the to go order do not always have items correct when picked up and they often forget to send bread and motz.

Came here with a couple friends last Friday for dinner. I think there was only one other table there, which I thought was odd for peak dinner time. But it was also raining, so maybe that kept people home? I was intrigued at first by the "build your own pasta" option, which is a kind of model a lot of places are going with these days. But I ended up being a little disappointed. I was hoping I could choose my pasta, then my sauce, then my meat, if I wanted any. But it was just pasta then sauce - some of which had meat, but most of which didn't. I didn't actually realize any of them had meat until I was quite a ways through the list. They were not organized by meat, which could've been helpful. It didn't seem to be organized in any fashion whatsoever; although I found out later that all the cream based sauces were at the end. Could've been useful to have that called out. Although all the tomato-based sauces weren't together (and the menu was very heavy on these, BTW). Anyway, I really wanted a cream or pesto sauce, and since they were out of pesto, I went with the funghi sauce. None of the cream or pesto sauces came with meat, so i asked if I could add some. They said yes, but only chicken, fish, or shrimp I think it was. There were other meats on the menu though, but they couldn't be added. Guess they just make all of that meat into specific sauces. Seemed a little odd, but whatever. So after taking quite some time to order, I got my fettuccine with funghi sauce and chicken. It was good, and while it wasn't expensive, it was a little much for an order at the counter place, with a moderately sized serving. The food was good though, not remarkable. IMO the menu could be organized a little more efficiently, but not a huge deal.

I went here on my lunch break and paid 17 buck for 6 raviolis and shrimp. I wanted to cry when I opened up the to go bowl. It was literally like a appetizer. The food was mediocre. I'm beyond extremely disappointed. I wouldn't recommend my co workers. Two stars for the good customer service.

Food is always delicious and the service is excellent however I think they have a new manager because we were told today that we could not have warmed bread while we waited. The manager never checked on our table as previous managers have before. We were the only customers in the building at the time. Otherwise it's a treat to dine at Figo's

A big Wha..Wha..Whaaaaaa. The idea of Figo seems fabulous. Unfortunately, it ends there. I placed my order at the counter, ordering an antipasta, custom ravioli and what they listed as "sparkling" (a glass of champagne). The young man taking my order told me they don't have glasses of sparkling anymore but could do a mimosa (Me = Face+Palm.). Ok then, how about a mimosa minus the orange juice. Oh yes, they could do that. We waited at our table for quite awhile before any water was poured. At one point I actually asked if I missed the water somewhere and we were supposed to pour it ourselves. The food all showed up randomly, but missing things. The bread that showed up at our table must have been visiting from earlier in the week. Crunchy and uber dry. Yuck. This bread was also used in our bruschetta, lovely. That mimosa-sans-orange juice came in handy at that point. We asked for three additional things to be brought to the table. Two of which never were. After an additional wait, the fish that was supposed to be on my friends salad finally did show up. The place had four tables besides us. Certainly not packed. This was a disappointment all around. With so many *really* great pasta places in this city, I can't see why anyone would need to visit Figo.

I actually love this place so much that I rarely go there. Too dangerous. They make fried cheese, only it's in pizza crust and not batter. Hnnnggggg. So good. I usually get crab ravioli with lemon pecorino cream sauce, and it's so good you'll lick the plate. And then your friend Adam will too. They give focaccia out, but it's usually room temp and kinda dry. The olive oil on the table helps, and I usually end up eating the bread with some oil and copious pepper. (see? Dangerous) The staff is always nice, it's usually not crowded, and the price is decent. I'd prefer cheaper for an order-at-the-front type place, but the food is very tasty so I ain't mad at 'em.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
