I'm mad as heck. Ya'll den found out about my spot. Yelping about great this place is will make it crowded and lines out the door. People will find out about how nice everyone is here and how they make sure everyone is taken care of. That there are no hipster or goth or fake perky help. Oh ya'll thought I forgot to talk about how this is like breakfast Mama used to cook on the weekends. This is solid home cooked breakfast. No hibiscus pollen or kale available here. Yes, they have to go orders so don't be hogging up the line when I call in and whip around here for a bite to take to work. All kidding aside I really love this well-run family owned and run restaurant!

Soooo good! Everything is made fresh to order, so be patient! I got the vegetable omelette with cheese grits! My boyfriend got biscuits and gravy alongside a eggs and bacon simple breakfast. The only thing was that their gravy was plain and didn't have sausage. But I can't wait to go back.

Im furious with myself for not coming here before! Ordered a veggie omelette which was amazing. Stuffed with fresh veggies and whole leafs of spinach. The grits were perfect and the lemonade good and sweet. Only gave it four stars because I wasnt crazy about the daily specials. But for brunch i'm all in.

I had fish and grits. Delicious! The service is excellent! Everything is cool to order so I will take some time to get your food, but definitely worth the wait.

Great coffee from Atlanta coffee and tea company. You walk in to this establishment and its like going back in time. Pink and white checkered plastic table cloths, laminated menu's, one waitress and the clientele is mixed. In this area your choice is the waffle house or very over priced places for the location. This was a pure find and Im so happy I found it. The breakfast was yummy the coffee was great, the service was excellent and Ill definately be back. Breakfast for 2 $17.00 cant beat that. The next day I had breakfast for 2 for $40.00 only 2 miles down the street. Everything I've tried here is great. The clientele is regulars as it's easily missed even though it's on the main road. Plenty of parking. Don't forget to tip . She works hard.

I've been in here a few times now. This is all very basic diner type food, but for what it is, they do it well & the prices are great. I spent a few years in Detroit & this is like a typical diner there, even the hours are the same as diners in Michigan :) The service is always friendly, pretty quick & one of the few places I've found that you can get a filling breakfast for a few bucks. I've had the Greek omelet and a cheeseburger before, both were quick, tasty & cheap!

I literally live 5 minutes from here, yet for my 7 years in Decatur have never gone here? No good reason why, just wasn't on my radar. My wife saw a bunch of positive yelp reviews so we made a point to check it out. This is a no frills , locally owner for 17 years, place. Menu was similar to a diner, but heavy on breakfast, which is what i love. I asked our waitress how long it's been there, she said "i've been here 15 years, so at least that long". She was the only waitress but worked it hard, everyone got served in a fast and friendly manner. Even the kitchen guys were friendly. So, good fast hot breakfast food, near my house? Hells yes I'll be back, i look forward to it!

I'm from south Georgia and it is EXTREMELY difficult to find truly good southern comfort food (in my opinion). This place nailed it with country fried steak--perfectly fried and juicy. Mmmm and that gravy.....Collards and everything else was delish. Excellent service, extremely fair prices, and adequate parking. It might be hard to get a table because it is soooo good! Seems to have a lot of regulars....not surpised!!!

I've had pancakes at Egg Harbour and flying biscuit. And I believe Demitris beat them hands down for its texture, the dense, soft pancake. The prices were really good too! Where else can you get 3 huge pancakes for under $5? This place is A "Must Go!"

I have lived in this area my entire life and this is my first time visiting here. Such a shame because this place is a gem. We normally do to waffle house on Sundays but no more. The food here is simple, fresh, filling, and delicious! The service is fast and friendly. The prices are perfect and extremely affordable. My husband had an amazing fish and grits breakfast and I had a country fried steak with hashbrowns. The platter was huge and I couldn't even finish the loaded hashbrowns. I loved my breakfast and this is our new spot.

Great restaurant!!! This was my first time here and I was impressed! The staff is wonderful and your coffee cup or sweet tea glass will never be empty! The pork chops are incredible and even though I rarely eat a sweet breakfast, I always order the French toast. Try the deluxe hash-browns, too! It's super cheap, clean, and overall, a lovely place! Enjoy!

Love their French Toast, omelettes, and cheese grits! Now, if they had fresh squeezed orange juice, I'd give them 5 stars.

I stopped by here one morning and I got the fried chicken breast with scrambled eggs with cheese and onions and hash browns to go. The chicken was good. The breast was juicy with a good batter. The eggs were alright. They were scrambled kind of hard and I really couldn't taste the cheese even though I could see it. The hash browns were crispy soft, dry and had no flavor. Overall this place is alright. I noticed a lot of people getting the grits so if I ever go back I will try those.

  • Shervonn R.

The service was bad, we waited 15 minutes before someone took our order, and the place wasn't crowded. The food was cold and half cooked and the cooks idea of an omelet is nothing close to the actual thing. Upon leaving the restaurant I noticed that they scored an 70 -C rating, which I wish I had noticed before my family and I ordered our meals.

This is a small diner that serves food as your grandmother would, with less salt. The food is delicious. I am a fan of their omelets, the deluxe hash browns, hot chocolate, chicken and rice soup, bacon, fried chicken salads, pancakes, etc.

Good, inexpensive food, and fast! The staff are friendly and greet many customers by name. The diner is clean and serves breakfast all day. Nice, old school diner for a hearty and quick meal.

The service was excellent! Breakfast was standard fare. All in all it was good. Prices are really reasonable. The hashbrowns could use a better cheese, otherwise no complaints at all. Veggie omlet was perfect! Coffee was good. Casual place with yesteryear feel. Clean environment.

So Demitri's had a lot of great reviews on Yelp, thought I would give it a try for breakfast. I ordered a couple hotcakes, scrambled eggs and country ham. The atmosphere was like a diner with your standard issue red checkered table cloths. Took about 10 minutes for the food, which is great. The food for me was just average. I've definitely had better hotcakes. The country ham was really good. Nice and salty like I expected. Eggs were cooked good but really no seasoning. Looking at the average age of the guests, thats probably on purpose. My recommendation is this is a place to take your mom or grandma for a casual, inexpensive breakfast. Probably not somewhere I would come back to, but that's not because the food was bad, it just wasn't great. There's a lot of breakfast joints in Atlanta to choose from. When I was leaving I did see some greens, and mac n cheese that looked really good. So maybe their lunch is a step up.
