This place has really stepped up their game in the past year. I usually get the Texas Fajitas, or Guacamole Mexicano. Drinks are strong, and prices are great for the portion sizes. There are a couple of standout servers that always make the experience more enjoyable, and Tio is consistently checking on guests to ensure satisfaction. It's not too often I experience such engagement from management. I visit this location about twice a week.

According to my wife, they're the best to go near the Outlet Malls. I don't really agree because the food was a little greasy but it didn't suck. The dining area was kind of small, the place looked a little run down, and the seats were not very comfortable. The people serving us were young America girls who looked like they needed a work permit and didn't have much experience. They spent quite a bit of time flirting with other male employees which was kind of a turn-off but they did a good job serving us and the food... The food really wasn't bad. I can't complain because everyone did their job and the food was good. In defense of the staff; both times we were there it wasn't very busy because we were there during the slow time of the day so the staff wasn't really that busy. They were just waiting on the next rush. Also, once it was during a thunder storm and pouring rain so business was slow. I'd go back. .

The service here was so bad that we didn't stick around long enough to find out how the food was. After being rudely sat, we waited for almost 10 minutes while being completely ignored (nobody acknowledged us, no drinks, no chips). We finally gave up and walked out, what a waste of time even bothering to stop by on the way home from Dahlonega.

This place is SO good! I was a little hesitant based on a previous yelp review but this place is very authentic and very good. The chips and salsa are fresh and brought out right away. And the drinks are STRONG! Great food, prices, & they have wifi :)

I'm sorry because I try to support my local restaurants and I'm not an active review writer, but I'm heavily involved in the restaurant industry and I have to make a comment. I think this was the worst Mexican restaurant meal of my life. Horrible, horrible, horrible. I don't know what else to say. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Please guys get it together, how hard can this be? I get the feeling that somebody's parents gave somebody this restaurant and he doesn't really care, no effort. I just moved here and there's only 1 other around the corner that I'll try in a week or 2, but this was just horrible in every respect, and I'm very easy to please. I'll try one more time in a month or two, just in case. Horrible, horrible, horrible.

Yuck. Our meals were all so greasy they were inedible. Our waitress seemed out of it, at best. We had to make requests multiple times for things like silver wear. We left unhappy and with only a few bites each of our orders. I used to love the El Jinete in Marietta. This is nothing like that.

This was our favorite restaurant a few years back so it saddens me to leave such a bad review. We received no refills. I ordered a tamale and got a pile of meat and sauce with not a drop of masa/tamale batter to be seen. Our son never received his beans and rice and the waiter never came back after delivering our food, not even with a check. Needles to say, I will never go there again.

In Mexico, jinete means "rodeo rider", or "cowboy", so it makes sense that when you are this far north on 400 to name a restaurant after the locals who frequent the patio here.. Service is a bit off, but not bad. Food is spot on. Chiles Poblanos, one of favorite dishes, is done well here. If i came here more often, i might even be a fan. Definitely a decent place for Mexican food when visiting the outlets or a nearby nudist colony. Remember, don't squat with your spurs on!

Just about your typical Americanized Mexican restaurant. The service is here and there. Not the best but not god awful.

The worse service of any mexican place I have been to. Gone several times hoping it would get better, but even as they change waiters, it is still terrible. Food is good, but they just do not do a good job with taking care of customers. Very disappointed.

This was the worst restaurant ever. My food was ice cold and dried out. The management was rude and the service was horrible. Will never eat there again.

Came on a rainy Saturday afternoon with a large group. I'm not normally a big fan of Mexican, and this was pretty much the same run of the mill stuff you get eveywhere. Service was pretty good, but the prices are high for what I got. A 3-dish combo, iced tea, and some queso dip came to $19 with tip.

Probably the best dining option near the North Georgia Premium Outlets. Chips and salsa were okay, taco salad was okay, chicken soup was delicious, quesadillas were light on the cheese but heavy on everything else in them (mushrooms, spinach, chicken, etc). Service was sketchy and lackadaisical, so don't come if you're in a rush.

Pretty standard Mexican. Food was good, service was good, and it was cheap. Everything I look for in a Mexican restaurant.

I stopped in here because the parking lot is always full. That's how I can normally tell if a Mexican restaurant is good. It wasn't. Not at all. I went on a Friday night. Unfortunate, because the location is good for me. It wasn't dirty, the waiter was good, and my diet coke was extra fizzy which I love. I hate not having more to say about the quality. I hope they improve.

They have some unique dishes. Some I've never seen in a Mexican restaurant and very tasty. I wasn't really sure who my waiter was though as so many came around and I got the wrong drink and never got more chips. Overall it was good, but service could use a little work.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
