My dad and I were driving through Georgia when we suddenly were STARVING and so we saw this Longhorn and decided to give it a whirl. Both our hostess and our server had these completely precious Southern accents and were very friendly. We were seated promptly. I mean, it's a Longhorn, so there aren't many surprises here. Food is good, not miraculous. Drinks are fine, not spectacular. Service is consistently great. I ordered the Filet, my dad ordered the Salmon. We were both pleased and left happy. There are probably better steakhouses out there, but this one was convenient and got the job done.

The place was packed and we sat at the bar. The bartender was more interested in texting someone than serving her customers. Once the food arrived, my medium rare was very well done, The mgr was very nice and wanted to replace the steak - he tpoo agreed they screwed up. Given we had been there already an hour before the food was finally delivered we elected just to leave. We were surprised the mgr had removed the cost of my steak from the bill without our knowledge (I didn't eat any of it). The mgr got the 3 stars - but we'll probably avoid this location for a while.

I am in the Dalton/Calhoun area once a year, and I decided to go to Longhorn Steakhouse this time as I often go to Longhorn where I live. If I'm not mistaken, this was once another chain steakhouse, but has been replaced by Longhorn. This one was definately very good. Service was excellent, food was done just right, decent drinks. Very nice people working there. And those Firecracker Chicken Wraps are indeed the best appetizer on the menu, methinks. I always get the Outlaw Ribeye; it's perfect! So I'll definately go back to this Longhorn the next time I'm in Dalton.

Its a chain and therefore not likely to be anything really special but also you can usually count on a good meal here. I really like their salmon salad for lunch as it is a healthy alternative to a big heavy lunch with fries, burgers etc. It is almost always very good here and they are on my short list for a business lunch in Dalton. If I could give a 3.5 stars I would.

The food is usually ok but the service is a train wreck. I've been served a plate of shrimp that was left under the salamander too long so the plate left a first degree burn when I touched it. I've been seated for 20 minutes only to find out they forgot someone was at that table. They moved us, got confused and still didn't take drink orders for another 15 minutes. Got comp'ed food that night. On another visit I won't detail all the order mix ups but when we told the waiter the oranges on the salad were fermented he asked if we'd had Mandarine oranges before (wtf?). My in laws like to go there for special occasions but I'm done, no more.

decided to glive Longhorn a second shot... glad I did... as the wife is in Mexico, I get to hit all the hot spots in town. Had a Martini, rib eye steak and a salad. Sat at the bar. The bartender was a bit overwhelmed when I got there. Lots of empty plates at the bar and no one to help her clean up. When I walked in approx 9pm about three other couples entered and also sat at the bar... Now it was starting to get busy. The bartender jumped into high gear and cleared all the empty plates quick... hit it all with a spray and rag... and she was rockin. Gave everyone menus and started working on the drinks... all was good. My martini was terrific and the rib eye steak was trully outstanding. Salad was also a homerun. crisp, cold with all the ingredients a plenty. Dressing was great and on the side. Must admit, I was impressed with this visit. Will certainly come again.

I like Longhorn. This location was as good as many others there was nothing spectacular about this visit. The Filet was cooked right and our server did her job but was not always available and wasn't as cheerful as I like. Maybe just a bad night for her. The onion soup was the best part of the meal. Man! If only I could live on chocolate stampede alone.

Food is good, just like what you expect but the service is so incredibly slow. I've been here multiple times. A few take out orders on my own, a few times with a small group of 3-4, and a few times with a large crowd of 10+. And every time... It take forever. So if you're going to go, don't be in a hurry.

The food was great but the service....... The lady who was serving us had a lousy attitude and got our order wrong in two separate occasions. The manager tried to be helpful but didn't make up for the inconvenience. The atmosphere was decent and the the drinks were tasty. I recommend outback stake house located just further up the road.

The appetizer bread was meh- pretty tasteless to start...nothing like Texas Roadhouse's bread! I got a 6 oz parmesan crusted filet. It was tiny for $18! It tasted O.K..... not much else to say. The salad was very big and pretty good. I had a french fry from my coworkers plate... as soon as it hit my tongue, I realized how salty it was and that I was glad I did not get that as my side. I got vegetables... I can't really judge them bc I was too full to eat them. The staff were all very friendly. Maybe 4 different staff said bye to us on our way out... that was nice of them!

I had a late lunch today and I had the French Onion soup and the chicken fried steak that I shared with a friend and both were excellent. The chicken fried steak was actually very good for a restaurant and was close to tasting like homemade, I would recommend this to anyone not wanting just a steak dinner or chicken.

I visit this Longhorn at least once a week. I keep returning because the staff is attentive and friendly, and the food is delicious. If you visit, you've got to try the Firecracker Chicken Wraps. Spicy, cheesy, chickeny, all rolled up in a flaky crust. Addicting! And just enough heat without making you cry. Even though there is plenty of variety on the menu, I almost always get the Flo's Filet, which has always been cooked 'medium,' just like I like it. Very good steak!

I will admit that it's been a few years since I went to Longhorn Steakhouse. I was in Dalton for work, and was ready to kill myself if I had to eat anymore fast food. Honestly, Dalton is not a cullinary center. I definately had my fill of Waffle House and Arby's (barf, I hate fast food!) Longhorn saved the day. I must say, it wasn't the best steak I've ever had, but it was pretty darn good. Might have given it a 3 if it was anywhere else, but considering this place was in the middle of freaking nowhere, it gets 4 stars. Most memorable item.......fried cheesecake!! They have cubes of cheesecake coverd in graham cracker crust, and deep fried. The cubes of deliciousness are put in a big cup and covered with strawberries and whipped cream!! I was on the treadmill for a week, but it was definately worth it!!
