Let's get the most obvious thing out of the way first of all: while delicious, this is not Mexican food. I know the word "Taco" in the name is going to lead some diners to anticipate a familiar type of ethnic cuisine, but they are going to be disappointed. Yes, there are chips and salsa on the menu, but even Applebee's serves that. Twisted Taco is a sandwich shop, and a good one at that. Instead of rolls or buns, the sandwiches are served in tortillas, and the effect is nothing short of magical, if my experience was typical. I ordered the Cuban, the Monterey, and the Greek tacos. The Cuban was a pork sandwich with plantains, the Greek was basically a gyro, and the Monterey was most taco-like. My companion had a fish taco and a Monterey as well. Each was as tasty and satisfying as we hoped it would be. I had refried beans (too runny) and rice (too bland) for sides. The chips and salsa were better than average. Our service was fine. The beer selection was good, but not great. However, some of my favorite brews were on hand, so I shouldn't complain. I had a Terrapin Hopsecutioner. We are looking forward to a return visit.

Service was slow. Food was cold and not cooked well. Waited 35 minutes for half of our party to get their food and another 10 minutes for the rest of the party to get their food...only after asking what was taking so long. Won't go back.

Food is good for a tex-mex place. Service is much better now that they have servers. It'll better when they have tequila

As a big TT fan, is was very disappointed when we walked in and found out that instead of it being like the other locations, this is a mini version. This is self service with a very limited menu. Frankly, we didn't even bother to order and walked out. The whole reason I love TT is because of the huge selection and great service. This location might as well be a Moe's.

First, their food is great. We've enjoyed it and like the tacos. Second, they have remotes at each table which is nice when you want to watch a specific game. The only thing that's really missing here is the service. We've ordered take out from here and 2/3 times the orders have been wrong. We've eaten at the restaurant several times and the service was okay. They just seem to be trying to get their feet under them at this point. Hopefully this location figures it out before football season. This could be a great place for a Saturday or Sunday to watch the game.

Put quite simply this place is terrible. The Queso dip was the worst I've ever had, was watery, and did not stay on your chip. My tacos were fair at best. Two other people got nachos and both complained about the terrible quality, the beef was tough and again the watery queso. You'd be better off at Taco Bell, or home eating PBJs, or anywhere else for that matter. I 'd be surprised if this place stays in business much longer.

Poor service. Not sure whats the deal with this place but man what a let down. They really need to step up the service at this location. And who wants a Margarita made with wine

I don't usually post reviews, but I feel like the owners need to know what's going on. Our party of four was quickly seated. This was our second visit and now it's full service, which is great. The waiter took our drink order. We also order some queso. When he came back to take our order we asked about the queso. He had forgotten to put it in. We ordered and waited...and waited...and waited. About 30 minutes. When the food finally came out, not everyone got their order. The food that did come out wasn't hot and some requested items were missing. My quesadilla came out 5-7 minutes later. It was cold and the vegetables weren't sautéed. I ended up taking it home because everyone was done. It was an awful experience. I don't blame the waiter. I blame management, which never came over to check on us or explain the delay. I really wanted to like this place, but we won't be back. It

This is my first time being at a Twisted Taco and I was impressed! Tacos were great! Beats Chipotle and Moes for sure!

We enjoy coming here with our kids. Never had a problem with food or service (in fact management has always been super nice). I really wish chips and salsa were free...I can't bring myself to pay for them.

Guacamole was bland. Sour cream cost $1.50 each and the cups were very small and not worth the money. Overall, the tacos were good - The Cheeseburger was the best of the ones I got. They have a nice $2 taco deal which is why we came here so I didn't completely waste my money but I won't return. The staff was disinterested and seemed annoyed.

My family and I went here because we like TT but we will not return to this one. The services was horrible. The staff is unpleasant and look like they hate there jobs. Clearly this is a case of poor management. It is sad to see because this could be a really nice place.

First things first, the food was delicious, enjoyed it very much, however... Went there with a group for team trivia on Thursday. Have eaten at other Twisted Taco's in the past and enjoyed them very much. Very, very disappointed! Big sign out front that says "Full Service", absolutely false. It's a fast food place with restaurant prices. Was not aware that I would have to go to the counter and order until the others in our group pointed this out so I headed to the front where I waited for over 15 minutes to place my order (only 7 people in line in front of me). The young lady taking the orders was so slow and kept making mistakes (charged one lady for a pitcher of beer when she ordered a single beer so the manager had to come void the credit card charge and redo the order). Another lady opened the second register for one customer and then stood back and did nothing while the rest of us waited. Finally ordered and paid almost $13 for two tacos, a cup of rice, a cup of beans and a soft drink. Another member of our group tried to order a few minutes later and waited almost 20 minutes and gave up due to frustration. As I said, the food was good but, for $13 I could have gone to a full service Mexican restaurant and had a meal without having to stand in line to order or get my own drinks and I would have also received free chips and salsa. We won't be back, we even went so far as to miss the last trivia question so we wouldn't win and receive a gift card as we all agreed that we did not want to patronize this reataurant again.

I have nothing positive to say about my dinner at TT. My kids LOVE LOVE LOVE cheese dip. If your queso is lousy, I have no use for you as a Mexican restaurant. We ordered the large queso and it was served in a caste iron skillet. The dip was so watery that it wasn't sticking to the chips. We complained and the waitress suggested that the skillet may be too hot and that after cooling down a bit the dip would be better. This was not the case. Cooling off did not improve the consistency of the dip. My mom ordered nachos. Sorry, are are out of ground beef. Seriously? Go buy some and cook it. Mom got steak on her nachos instead. Regardless of the meat, the nachos were bad because they were swimming in the same terrible cheese dip that we were served as our appetizer. The kids got quesadillas which were fine. Everyone else got various tacos. They were ok but not good enough to make up for the cheese dip or the lack of caring about our unhappiness. We complained twice on the dip and once on the nachos. They comped the dip but I thought a manager should have come over to talk to us. What kind of place leaves the wait staff out to dry when customers are complaining multiple times? There are too many other Mexican restaurants around for me to bother with TT again.

Never got to eat! Went in on Memorial Day and the place looked like a tornado hit it. Obviously short staffed. 3 of us waited over 45 minutes for tacos with chips and salsa. Finally my friends food comes out. We see ours sitting in the window but the guy runs it to a table that had just sat down. They ended up keeping our food. But when the guy realizes they weren't his tacos he took it back. The dude asked me if I still wanted them and that he didn't think they had touched them. No way. After 45 minutes I had enough. How long was it going to take to get our food again. We asked for our money back and left. How long does it take to put together a taco? I can make them at home from scratch faster than it take their kitchen to put an order out. Terrible.

This is nothing like the other TT restaurants, basically fast food with bad service..

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
