Good atmosphere and good value but not the most exciting menu or flavors. From my experience, the service is fine but the servers seem to get confused easily. The lunch special is a great deal! Also they have 1/2 priced sushi.

I'm on a quest to find my go-to Chinese take out place. This place is the best I've tried so far out of 4 places, but still only ok. I appreciated the spring roll and crab rangoon coming with the lunch special, but the General Tso's chicken wasn't awesome. The fried rice was kinda bland, the sauce was kinda weak, and the prices were kinda high. Overall it was ok, but I hope I find something better as I continue to search.

Terrible, pad Thai should be a basic offering. It reminded me of eating ragu out of a can. Nothing fresh about it. I would pass

A couple co workers and I ordered delivery from here today for lunch. We normally order from China Garden but wanted to try something new. I'm always a little disappointed when our chinese food doesn't show up in chinese boxes. I still haven't found a place in Cumming that delivers lunch that way yet. Pacific Spice serves chinese, thai, and sushi & teriyaki. We all ordered from the chinese menu and I also ordered a side ginger salad for an additional $2.50. It was nice being offered the ability to order from any category. Lunch specials average $6.50 each and come with your entree, fried rice, a spring roll and crab rangoon. You can add a soup for 75 cents. Anywhere else I've ordered from has always had the sides being rice, soup and an egg roll. Delivery time was faster than quoted over the phone. The portions were a good size, not a a huge amount, just right. Everything was packaged nicely so that our food wasn't sloshing out the side like we've experienced from other places. The crab rangoon had like five times the filling than other places I've been to, it was delicious. Next time we order, I may just order them instead of an actual meal because I liked them that much. The spring roll was nice and crisp, and my spicy garlic chicken was good, lots more vegetables than i expected it to have.

I almost want to give this place 2 ratings - lunch would be a 4/5, dinner a 2. The lunch specials are good, nice value perfect amount of food. You can do Chinese, Japanese, or Thai. Nice variety. However, dinner is a big disappointment. The portion sizes do not seem much larger for dinner yet the prices are. I love going to Chinese and sharing but not too possible here. The food is fine, but nothing too special. The decor is nice but if you like to have soup, app and entree it would be too pricey for what it is. Lunch is a much better value. As always since it is Asian there are lots of meatless choices. The staff is nice enough but keep your visits to lunch and you will probably be happy :)

Avoid! The food is terrible. We tried their seafood special with scallops (undercooked), shrimp (overcooked), and crab ( in shell with no utensils to remove). The dish included vegetables in white sauce. There was absolutely no taste to the food. It was either steamed to death or the white sauce was deliberately bland. Chef Ramsey's rule to taste everything served was not followed. No salad, no soup, and wait staff too scarce. When thru finally asked how the food is, we said it was tasteless. They smiled and said ok. We reiterated it had no taste, and left. No suggestion. No I'm sorry. Nothing. The male owner manager kept pushing his customers to eat, and by his actions to leave. We paid and left. It is terrible. We wished we had read these reviews before wasting our time and money. Go next door to Publix and by a Chinese meal to cook at home. It will be ten times better!

Imagine walking into the front door and you are greeted by another door!!!! You are immediately transferred to island paradise with soothing waterfalls and smooth stones as if you are walking into a remote jungle. You open the door and suddenly you are in a modern New York- styled fine dining! It pleases the eyes!!! Follow the walls and you'll see rocks adorned the bar ceiling overhead and shiny dragon lair-ish lights then your eyes sees half wine barrels embedded in the walls. You eyes slowly takes in the travels along to the walls until your host greets you. You get seated and take in the menu. Japanese, Chineses, and Thai, even Sushi grace the menu of this trancedental place. The first time I visited I ordered Chinese with eggplant and broccoli and even requested shrimp to be added to the vegetables. I was in heaven!!! Second visit was yesterday, with my daughter and I eating hibachi for lunch!!!! My daughter was impressed by the decor and that was very unusual to hear her say WOW!!!! We had a blast!!! We ordered appetizers prior to ordering hibachi meal: we had pan fried dumplings and Sushi California Rolls with Nigri Sushi (raw fish on rice). Delicious!!! Our hibachi meal was shrimp hibachi for her and I had shrimp and chicken hibabchi!!!! We enjoyed chatting up stories with the hibachi chef and had a blast!!!! The hibachi is about under $10 ($1 more if steak) for lunch and comes with broth soup, ginger salad, mixed vegetables, fried rice!!! Not bad at all for under $10!!! The only thing I did not see was desserts but hey, Publix next door so grab some ice cream!!! Pacific Spice, we had a great time and you keep up the good work as you are beating out Kani House for now. Thanks!!! (This review is for the Winderemere location.)

The food is palatable but nothing to write home about. Just plain ho-hum. In our grand search for the perfect sushi spot we tried Pacific Spice but it just didn't cut it.

Been coming here since 2007, they always remember us when we arrive. Food has been consistent every time we come. I get take out often, one time they forgot an order of crab roll, not the end of the world. Next time I was there for lunch the young man told his mother that my order was wrong last time. I did NOT CALL OR TELL THEM THERE WAS A MISTAKE. They owned up to it! Sent me home with what I was missing plus more. I've never had any issues with the service when we have eaten there for dinner or lunch.

This place is decent enough most of the time. I have had sporadic service and in the food. Sometimes whats listed in the menu is a little different than what shows up. I have had super spicy pad Thai and bland boring pad Thai within the same month even though I ordered it the same way. Fixing some small mistakes would vastly improve the overall score of this place. I'm likely to try it again.

Sushi is excellent. Especially is 50% off. The service is good. We enjoy the diner. It is our first time dining In pacific spice. We will be back again.

I like the spicy and flavorful Kung Pao chicken, honey chicken, and beef pepper steak.

Half price sushi Sunday through Thursday and 30% off take out. Best deal ever. Really good rolls. I don't know why more people don't go here as regularly as I do.

A lot of the reviews here are rating pretty harshly on the service of this place. I haven't had too much of a problem with service, though I have mostly eaten here during lunch when there weren't too many people to serve. That being said, I think that the atmosphere is good and the food is pretty great for the money, but only if you go for lunch. I almost always order a lunch special, which gets you a bowl of soup, a crab rangoon, an egg roll and a good sized entree with rice for around $7-8. I would recommend the Mongolian beef and the sweet and sour soup as a combo. The Crab Rangoon is unusually good here, as well. I can see where the service may potentially have a breakdown, as the wait staff sometimes have difficulty answering questions about dishes and describing what kind of substitutions you can make with your meal. All in all, this place is a pretty good value for lunch and the food is quite good.

Food is acceptable, service is not. Ordered delivery for less than a mile away (not the first time) and was told about 40 minutes. After an hour, I called to check, they said should be there any minute. Another 30 minutes and still no food. When I called back and complained they said the driver was at our door. I answer the door, with them knowing I was paying cash, and the driver says he has no change. Sorry, this is unacceptable. Will never order or eat there again.

Consistent Chinese take-out. Pretty good and staff friendly. My boyfriend and I usually get general Tsao chicken and sesame chicken :)

I'm done. While it is close to my house, it is expensive and the food is only ok. For the EXACT same price, go to PF Changs!!

no. just no. I've eaten at a lot of chinese places. It's not supposed to be amazing but it should at least be decent and at a good value. The price was decent but the food was pretty bland. I ordered the beef lo mein for lunch. the egg roll was bland too and thank goodness for duck sauce because without that I probably would never eaten the egg roll.

We eat here often and enjoy both the sushi and hibachi. They are very accommodating for special diets and children. We enjoy it with friends.

  • Mark T.

While I like the food, I do find it inconsistent. Some days it has been great, others.... Not so much. The real problem lies in the attitude surrounding the place. My wife and I sometimes stop in for a roll or two, and the wait staff chides us for not ordering more. Once when we ordered a sampler tray and a couple of rolls, we were almost yelled at for ordering too much food. And don't even try to use a coupon! There are way too many options for sushi in the area to tolerate this behavior. Our business is going elsewhere.

Between my date (my mom) & I, we're torn. She would likely go with 2 stars, I'd go with 4. It gets a solid 3. We went on a not-too-busy Saturday evening for a girl's night out. She really enjoys Thai food. I spent a few too many years serving Thai food, so I'll stick with the Japanese side of the menu. Our service was good - prompt & attentive. The green tea tasted delicious (not the steeped-for-5-years-tea). Our entrees came with salad with a ginger dressing & the greens and veggies were crisp and fresh. Perfectly dressed. Here's where dear mom & I differ. She ordered Pad Thai, which she described as overly dressed & noodle-heavy with not enough meat. We are also accustomed to fresh sprouts or carrots on top and there were none. Just LOTS of peanuts. I had the sashimi combo which was a gigantic portion for one and was delicious. All of the fish tasted fresh It was a great value compared to other places that I have ordered sashimi. I'll likely return. Mom likely won't.. but she does live in VA, so I can't really blame her. Give it a try.. the menu is lengthy. Something for everyone.

While I can't rate this place based on dine-in experience, their incompetent delivery process is enough to drive me to hang up the phone mid-sentence. First it was a nearly two hour wait for them to deliver 2 items when I live a mere five miles from their location. And tonight - the last straw - I was faced with an incompetent woman who obviously had difficulty locating my address in their database. She then proceeds to hand the phone to another (presumably younger) employee. "...address?" Yup. Just like that, no pleasantries. After painfully making it to the part where I order, she bluntly informs me in a tiresome, muffled voice "not enough for delivery." Ok, would you care to tell me the minimum purchase for delivery? No, I suppose that would require them to form an actual sentence. How about indicating it on your website? Again, too much effort. I'd be willing to tolerate this petty hostility, but not for mediocre food. As another review said, this place is wasted potential. But there are far superior establishments in the vicinity.

I'm revising my review after quite some time and trying them again both for delivery and dining in. I rarely have had a problem with the quality. I did have some issues in the past with the consistency and accuracy when getting delivery but they seem to have resolved those problems. I recommend the ahi tuna poke. Keep up the good work!

Their Sushi is always 50%?????!!!!!!????? So I gave it a try, The ingredient was inferior Quality! The pad thai and Chinese food tasteless! They advertised "Sushi chef has 30 years of experience" funny that there all from Indonesian and not Japanese......how funny is that. I will not go back again, as the food is not good and the place was not cleaned, service is just OK. over-priced!!!

So we had a baby and we've been ordering in more often than eating out. We decided to order from Pacific Spice one night and were pleasantly surprised. The fish was fresh and the sushi tasty. Seems like they turned the boat around!

Today I ordered several items from Pacific Spice. However, upon delivery I received half of my order. When I called to say that I had didn't receive a portion of my order I was given rude and poor service. The manager stated I was wrong and had not ordered all of the items.

I decided to try the 50% off sushi deal they have going on this month, and I was very disappointed in it. The yummy yummy roll was over fried and the volcano roll was tiny and barely had any toppings. I definitely won't be coming back here for their sushi.

Though it is not in the Entertainment Book, I did visit Pacific Spice with a coupon (insert sarcastic shock here). Every week without fail they come to my house with a mountain of other coupons. And you know what? I adore "junk mail" that includes coupons! Visited for lunch. If I had visited for dinner, I am fairly certain I would not be awarding this place with 5 stars. However, this is the absolute cheapest meal I have had for lunch in ages, and for that I think Pacific Spice deserves the extra star. After applying a 20% off coupon, two meals came to $10.33 with tax. Come on, that is AMAZING! Had the kung pao chicken. So did my friend. The meal came with fried rice, wonton soup, a spring roll, and crab rangoon. I just couldn't figure out how this place even makes money at lunch, they seem to be just giving food away!! And it was tasty. The kung pao wasn't really "kung paoey" in the spicy sense, if that makes any sense at all, but it was still really good. I will visit again. How could I not? It is the cheapest lunch around. Can't even get sub sandwiches for that price! The atmosphere is great too. Not cheesy, more on the classy side. Visit for lunch. Visit with a coupon. Enjoy!

The food here has gotten progressively worse over the past year. It started about a year ago when I ordered basil rolls - that had no basil in them, only lettuce. I complained and they rudely accused me of trying to get something for free. Basil rolls should have basil in them right? On the menu, a 15 piece sashimi plate arrived with only 13 pieces. When I complained, they said the menu had changed. I ordered Pad Thai tonight and it is the worst I've ever had. Overcooked, oversauced noodles and over cooked flavorless shrimp. No sprouts, peanuts, egg, green onion, NO LIME etc. Not to mention the prices have gone way up and the quality of the food has gone way down. Last time we eat here.

Good variety of Asian food options on the menu. Pleasant decor and atmosphere. Kind of a "go-to" place for us when we can't decide where else to go.

This restaurant was really great when it first opened but we have had several disappointments over the last couple of years. Decided to give it one more shot, but this may have been the worst yet. Portion size is fine, but food is both bland and of questionable quality. Sushi does not seem fresh, the chicken in 2 different dishes was...blech. Indescribable. And when you ask for the manager, "there's no manager here now." Such a disappointment, especially considering that this is not some cheap take-out place. So much wasted potential and lost customer loyalty.

Very disappointed! Saw several decent reviews and it was close, so I gave it a try. I ordered a duck dinner and some crab rangoons as an appetizer for delivery. The young lady that took my order was very polite friendly. The wait for the delivery was reasonable. But when I opened the appetizer, they were unlike any rangoons I have ever had before. They were more like small, puffed up turnovers filled with air and a little crab cream cheese filling. So unlike the light, crispy wanton like ones I'm use to. They might not have been so bad, if they weren't half raw! I had to place them in the oven and finish cooking them. While cooking my appetizers, I opened my dinner, choosing to eat it and not wait. But my duck was dry, sitting upon plain shredded lettuce, with two garnishes of thinly sliced green onions and cucumber. There was only a tiny container of sauce for the duck. I took a bite, not only was it dry, but it was cold. :-( Had to very carefully warm up my duck, I will say the flavor of the duck was very good. Thankfully I had that sauce, cucumbers and onions to help moisten the dryness. All I want to know is since duck is a fatty bird, how do they dry it out?! Looking back at the reviews, I noticed most of the positive reviews were older. If Pacific Spice ever gets back to their old ways, I might be willing to try them again, but not until then. I'll be watching. :-)

Pretty tasty grub here. I rocked out with the Beef Fried Rice and enjoyed it. Working on portion control as part of my diet, so I only ate about a third of it. Pretty large portions here.

We have been long term patrons to this restaurant , since it opened actually. It was a great gem of a place when it first started . But the last couple years , this restaurant has been a great disappointment. My husband used to love the quality of sushi here, it seems to have gone down drastically. It is not as fresh as it used to be. The last couple times we have ordered delivery , they have gotten my order wrong every single time. when i have called them to let them know, they have just rudely told me that it is exactly what i ordered and they will do nothing about it. Today, I specifically ordered for vegetarian basil fried rice , no meat , no eggs, no fish sauce. I repeated myself a couple times because of the previous orders that have been messed up. But instead I get fried rice with eggs in them. I called them up to let them know and they completely denied me telling them that i said no eggs. The rude behaviour of the person on the phone makes me feel obliged to write this review so customers who wish to go back here or order delivery from them are warned. It unfortunate cause we visited them so often that they knew us very well. Never going or ordering from here ever again.

Immediately upon entering the restaurant, we smelled a very strong musty/stale odor. I think that the smell came from the water wall placed at the front door. It smelled like it badly needed to be cleaned and/or the filter changed. It certainly did nothing for our appetites. To make things worse, neither of our dishes tasted fresh and the crab angels were almost cold. We told our waitress about the crab angels and she replaced the three that had been eaten with three hot ones. I'm guessing that she nuked them and put them back on a plate. It was very disappointing. We will not being going back.

If I had posted a review several years ago I would've posted 5 stars but since then it's declining in the food quality. When this place first opened they offered awesome basil rolls, I couldn't get enough of them. Nowadays when I go there it tastes like they took some leftover lettuce from last night and hobbled them together and call it a basil roll. A favorite of mine, red curry, was the bomb when I first went but now the pork that they serve with it is chewy and almost tastes like they just got it from a freezer a month ago. The service is good and prompt it's just that I wish they would improve the quality of the food.

Unfortunately, Pacific Spice has really gone downhill. It is not what it used to be. It is not only the food and dining experience, but the attitude of the management staff and the general lack of concern for customer service that is now very poor.

  • Cory F.

Good service, nice decor, good lunch prices and the food is not bad but nothing to scream about. I do not think I have ever written a review this short, but there simply is not a whole lot to say. It is worth the money for lunch and I have never been here or seen the dinner prices.

Really good sushi. The Tom Kha (coconut) soup is great - not too spicy. Definitely worth it to try this place out.

Visited Pacific Spice for lunch with a coupon which they took and forgot to apply. The one of the pieces of sashimi was questionable. They do make a nice Thai ice tea and have a lovely interior.

I have only had the Chinese food here (they also do sushi, Thai and Japanese). I have eaten here several times as it is so close to home. The ingredients are always fresh and the service is good. The decor is very chic-zen. Much better looking restaurant than your average red with golden dragons and fish tank place. All and all good food for the price.
