Marlows has really good food, and it is consistently good, however this certain location can be completely packed depending on when you go. Its a pretty small place. The service is also a little on the slow side but the food is pretty good so I continue to go here.

This was our first trip to the Tavern here in Cumming. It came highly recommended from our parents. We went around lunchtime...definitely a hot spot! After a very brief wait, we were showed to our table by the very friendly greeter. Our waiter, TJ, was both prompt and courteous. He recommended a few items, which we were happy to try since this was our first time at this establishment. We started off with the humus and pita bread. Delicious! The pita bread came out warm and the hummus (made in house) was probably the best I have ever had in a restaurant, let alone a "tavern". TJ was great about keeping our drinks refilled and full of ice. I ended up getting the open-faced steak sandwich and my wife had the black and blue steak salad. The steaks in both dishes were cooked perfectly. As such, the entire meal was outstanding. The atmosphere complemented the entire experience. The greeter, whom I believe was the manager, stopped by the table and ensured that everything was to our satisfaction. My wife and I were both delighted to see that, even during the lunch rush hour, the staff was punctual and incredibly courteous. We highly recommend this to anyone for lunch! Now, we have to go back for dinner! P.S. The Jalapeno Corn Grits are amazing!

We like Marlow's because, while the food isn't out of this world, it is consistent and the management is very watchful and involved in the restaurant. It attracts a nice mix of people because it's one of the few cool, fun places in the area right now. I give it two starts for to reasons: the prices, which I think are marked up on everything from the food to the drinks. $15 for a sandwich? Come on. The next non-star comes from the littering of televisions wall to wall, everywhere. It's chaotic and distracting in an otherwise nice environment. Marlow's isn't a sports bar or a place where I want to see women's asses jangling in thongs or commercials for nose hair trimmers over my $15 sandwich. I find that irritating. Also, despite the fact that they claim to be burger experts, they don't have American cheese. To that I say, foo! Give me processed American on a burger or give me nothing.

This is a popular place to eat and therefore dinner hour on Thurs, Fridays & Saturdays can often be hard to get seated without a wait...but that's because this is a great place to eat and drink. The servers and bartenders all are very friendly and of course the reason we all keep coming back is the food. I enjoy the burgers... I really love the desserts I've had each of them and I love the ambiance it's not a large restaurant space so it feels intimate. The outdoor patio is a hopping place in the evenings.

This is a great place to meet for drinks or have a complete meal. I am excited that there are various locations around the greater Atlanta area, and this location doesn't disappoint. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is awesome. I sampled both the salmon salad and the pita club, both were excellent. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the pita was chalk full of ham and turkey. I'm also happy to report that their fries were excellent, crispy but not over done. They also have a variety of both unique and traditional drinks. I can only comment on the sangria, because it was so good I couldn't see ordering anything else! (I've also had a selection of their beer and wine in the past, they have a good selection) Great for date night, an afternoon out with the girls or happy hour!

Went to Marlow's Tavern yesterday to watch the HEAT game. Only one TV in the far end of the restaurant was displaying the game but we were seated by the entrance and the adjacent TV was tuned to the game for us. My company recommended the crab, shrimp nachos. I found them overly cheesy and very little crab or shrimp at all. We decided to share a Tavern Burger. After waiting what seemed an oddly long time for the burger without any sight of over server we questioned another employee as to the wait and advised we were ready leave and wanted to cancel. He went to inquire as to what was going on and the server returned with half of the burger on two plates and still waiting on fries, with no explanation. The random employee explained that the burger takes longer to cook well done, I guess this was a reasonable explanation except for the fact that the burger was not well done as ordered, the inside was still red andmedium rare?!!?!! The fries were greasy and seemed have been re-flashfried....the food was absolutely horrible and service sub standard. I can only speculate the lack of quality food and service was due to it being after 9 and close to closing time. But I'd rather not take my chances and this will be my first and last dining experience at Marlow's Tavern.

Decent food, but not spectacular. Best for people watching. Apparently, this is where the cool people go in Cumming. Makes me wonder why I was there...

If I were to sum it up: Great looking crowd and location, but the food is average at best and service is rather slow. We dined at Marlow's last evening at around 7:30 pm. This was a Monday night, but it was fairly busy when we arrived, so we ate at the bar. We ordered our dinners from the "specials of the day" menu, which would generally suggest that the kitchen is ready for a lot of these particular dish orders throughout the night. Not so. It took nearly 35 minutes to be served; slow enough that they comp'd our second round of drinks in appreciation of our patience. The blackened salmon sandwich was just ok in terms of taste. They try to stack the sandwich with so much stuff that it toppled over in a mess on the plate. They should consider a hoggie bun or something. My wife had the beef sirloin sandwich and the beef was just ok; tough to cut and chew. I have been to the Marlow's in Alpharetta several times and found the experience to be much more pleasant on all levels. With Ted' Montana Grill literally one block north of this Cumming location (in the same plaza), I would rather eat there next time; it offers a wider variety of quality dishes and just as nice atmosphere.

I hate to write a bad review but Marlows is going down hill. Makes me sad because it use to be one of my favorite places. Early afternoon , three loud drunks at the bar, had to send my hamburger back twice, ask for MW and both times came out raw, and I do know the difference. So I sent it back again and went around the corner to Ted's where your food always comes out right.

First of all, the service was awesome. It was our first time here and they brought out a free appetizer, kettle made chips with some type of sauce on top made with blue cheese. We also got a flatbread appetizer made with chorizo and caramelized onions that was very good. I got the burger which was perfect, my wife got the seared ahi tuna salad which was amazing. The tuna was fresh and came with a really good glaze on it. My father in law got some type of turkey sandwich he really enjoyed. They have a good selection of good beer on draught. Overall a nice atmosphere and good food.

Great food, great service! Had the crab cakes benedict on Sunday, and unfortunately, this was a special, but it SHOULD be a regular on their menu. DELICICIOUS !!! I will be going back again to try their "Buckhead Beef" burgers. Nice atmosphere, but the only problem is that they are SO busy, you have to leave your phone number and walk around the "Avenues Of Forsyth" while you wait for a table or booth. They will call you however, and let you know when they have a table. THAT is a smart way to handle their guests. If they just used the typical flashing coasters that only work in the close proximity of the restaurant, few people would stick around and wait. The way they have it set up, drop by, put your name on the list and leave. Go shopping. Go to Barnes and Noble. Whatever you decide to do, Marlow's Tavern will just call you on your cell and let you know that your table is available. Smart!

My wife and I met some friends for dinner last night and again - this place doesn't disappoint. We've eaten several times at this place and I am a full blown addict to their in-house made kettle chips and their burgers. On peak dinner times, expect this place to be packed and that you would have to wait, but it's worth it! The service, quality of food, and my Captain and coke are all awesome at this place.

I went to Marlow's recently for my first time, the food is great. But my bartender Liz was outstanding, she was so accommodating, attentive, and such a pleasure to deal with. Being in the customer service industry I always look for good customer service. By far I was very pleased. Thank you Liz for the great service.. I will definitely be a coming back.. Also I recommend the flatbread on the appetizer menu.

As we sit here at the bar RIGHT NOW, and the bartenders behave like we are invisible, no eye contact, no acknowledgement; in fact another couple came in and got asked what they wanted to drink. Mind you, we are sitting smack in the middle of the bar. Yippie Hurray! Finally got attention after 7 minutes! Got our drinks. Timeline: 12 minutes later, eye contact. Here's our point: we are people, we are friendly, we love eating out and wholly support the restaurant business and those wbo work in it. A little bit of friendliness goes a long way and would make us return customers.

I've been a frequent customer of the Marlow's on Jones Bridge and love the place. Living in Windward, I decided to try the new location in Cumming. While the food and drink were up to Marlow's quality, the service at the Cumming location certainly wasn't. The wait staff was slow, lacking energy, almost a "we don't care if you come back" attitude. Too bad - this type of establishment is needed in Cumming. Hope Marlow's "management" takes notice of the reviews on YELP, otherwise this place is destined to be "pedestrian".

IMO - not a place for kids. Being a parent myself I get the fact that The Avenues really needed an upscale (in comparison to other options in the area) tavern, which could help families by offering Mom and Dad the opportunity to grab some reasonable chow and a much needed cocktail after taking little Jessica and Chad Jr. on yet another shopping spree. But seriously, have you been to this place? LONG waits, massively noisy, but plenty of booze. Parents - this is a TAVERN, not a neighborhood grille. Pay for a sitter and then go here, or if at the end of your shopping spree then send the kids to the movies (with supervision please) then get your table. This should make the wait shorter for everyone. Three stars due to wait time, noise, and all the kids whose parents don't know any better.

Went there for late lunch on a Thursday. I ordered the burger. Burger ordered medium, came rare. Fries were dry, shriveled and stale. Had to request ketchup, mustard, mayo. Yikes. My friend had the special. The waiter described it as a personal pizza with fresh basil, tomato and mozzarella. Sounds good, but it wasn't. I let my friend eat my fries. 1 star for the pickle. The pickle was good.

Recently grabbed a bite to eat here with my parents and absolutely loved it! The place was packed on the Friday night we went, but it wasn't more than 20 minutes before we were seated. The lettuce wrap burger was fabulous and a great alternative to having the bun. Try the grilled asparagus as the side-- delish! With such an expansive menu I can't wait to go back and try something new!

Good, solid food choice for a shopping mall. We were seated immediately on a Monday night (Saturday's here are extremely busy!). I had the Asian tuna salad. It was good, but not great. Kids had individual pizzas, although they were served with french fries. Seems like overkill to serve pizza with french fries!

As "tavern" fare goes, this was among the best. The fish tacos were excellent, and the only report of the vanishing bleu cheese burger my husband ate was a gutteral "mmhh that was great". Absolutely perfect location a few steps away from the AMC theater for a pre- (or if you're a late nighter, post-) movie meal. Decent but not huge beer selection. Plan to wait for 30-45 minutes if there's a movie crowd.

Stopped by for a late lunch (around 2:30 pm) on Saturday. I'm in the restaurant business myself and always hesitate to go to a new restaurant within the first 3 months or so of opening but we've been dying to try the food ever since we met one of the managers during construction. I'm so glad that we went!! We were greeted at the door promptly by one of the servers and throughout our meal I watched each and every person who came in be greeted just as promptly. We were taken to a table within just a few minutes. Even at 2:30 in the afternoon the place was still completely packed. Our server came over immediately, introduced himself and asked if we had ever been to any of the Marlow's locations before. When we told him that we hadn't he made sure to go through the entire menu with us, explained the specials and the flatbread of the day as well as gave us his personal recommendations from each of the categories. We started with the flatbread appetizer - that day it was bbq chicken, pineapples and jalapenos and wow, it was GREAT. Hubby and I devoured it. My husband ordered the Mongolian Beef Sandwich and declared it his new favorite. My 9 year old daughter had the Mac & Cheese from the kids menu and declared it the best ever. I was in the mood for a good burger so I ordered the Tavern Burger, medium/medium rare with fries. I wasn't expecting to actually *get* a burger that was cooked the way I asked - it seems impossible to find a place here in Cumming that cooks burgers anything other than well done - and was very pleasantly surprised when my burger came. It was cooked perfectly! The one major disappointment was the price - while the food is definitely worth it, the $40 bill for lunch (even with our free appetizer card) was a bit out of our price range to make this a regular "drop-in whenever we are hungry' kind of restaurant but we will certainly add Marlow's to our list of places to go when we are looking for something a little nicer than some of the other local Cumming restaurants. The only other disappointing thing was something that we witnessed while sitting near the door - a gentleman came in in a wheelchair and was unable to be seated as there were only one or two handicapped accessible tables available in the entire restaurant. While we understood that they were busy and likely *could* have sat him within 30 minutes or so, it was upsetting to see them essentially be turned away - no manger was called over to assist or see if there was anything else that could be done to expedite a table for the gentleman. Overall, however we were very pleased with the quality of food and the exceptional service. We will definitely be back to Marlow's!

Seriously.... how starved are we in Cumming for decent food and drink? I went here the 2nd night it was open. There was a 20 minute wait at the door and people were spilling into tables outside in the 95 degree heat! We slipped over to the bar where we received prompt and friendly service. The place was packed and the help was darting around like they were on fire. The food was down right tasty and unique and the drink concoctions were very good. This place is definitely a winner. It deserved to be busy.

Really liked Marlows Tavern. I had the French Dip with fries which was really good. The wait wasn't too long but from what I undrstand it can be at times..The atmosphere was inviting but almost too loud. All n All this place was good..

HOORAY! Marlow's Tavern is now open in Cumming, and not a moment too soon. After making the trek to the Alpharetta and the Midtown spots several times (not to say it wasn't completely worth it), it's awesome to have a Marlow's practically in our own backyard. We went last night, and I gotta tell you, I have rarely seen a restaurant run like such a well-oiled machine after it had been open a mere two days. Yes, it was crowded (we had to wait about 30 minutes for a table), but that's to be expected when a new restaurant with a stellar reputation opens in a place that is sorely lacking. So, we had the opportunity to hang out at the bar and have a glass of wine from their solid wine list. Minutes after we were seated, our server, T.J., showed up with our menus. He asked us if we had ever been to Marlow's, if we had any questions about the restaurant itself, etc. and took our drink orders. Upon his return we were ready to place our orders. I got the shrimp and grits, Husband Man ordered the fish tacos. It took a little while to get our entrees, but we were enjoying ourselves and certainly not impatient. I guess T.J. determined we had waited too long and brought us an appetizer of Firecracker Shrimp on the house. Talk about great service! And a great tasting app. I'll definitely order it again. Shortly after, our entrees arrived. The white cheddar grit cakes were creamy and deliciously flavored (As an aside, I can't think of the word "grit" without hearing it in Joe Pesci's voice from "My Cousin Vinny."). The shrimp were tender, and the spinach and tomatoes added a nice balance to the rich burre blanc sauce. The fish tacos were solid. Very tasty, firm and well-seasoned fish with all the trimmings. The black beans were a nice addition. All in all, a great experience, and major kudos for a flawless execution on only their second day in business. Oh, and T.J. should get a raise. Just sayin'!

We typically like Marlows and the atmosphere. The food tonight was good but Someone has to deal with the male bartenders. So busy worrying about how good looking they are that they came across as snotty and dis interested

This was our first trip to Marlow's Tavern, and we'll definitely be back. The food was excellent - the burger was grilled perfectly and the fries were pretty darned good. The server was attentive, always prompt to refill our drinks, and was both cheerful and helpful. The only drawbacks to the place are with the location itself. The restaurant is too small - 25-50% larger would be perfect - and there is absolutely no waiting area. If you're waiting for a table (something that's likely), then be prepared to be squeezed in with everyone else in the entry area. Another oddity is the entrance door: it's solid wood...meaning that you can't see if you're about to whack someone on the other side (or be whacked if you're entering). Oh, and the music - it's too loud. The music itself is fine, but the volume is so loud that it forces all the diners to speak to each other even more loudly. In such a small facility, it gets to be a bit much. Those minor quibbles aside, Marlow's Tavern is a great place to eat and we'll be back soon, I'm sure.

A decent place to get standard American bar fare. The burgers weren't stellar, but edible. They weren't cooked as ordered either. The atmosphere on the outside patio / bar was lively.

I am tired of trying to get a table at Marlow's. The host is arrogant about the wait and quite rude. Not worth the aggravation.

I love this place. This was my first time at the new Cumming location, I had been to the one in Vinings many times over past few years. The new location is small, but does have a great atmosphere and worth the wait for a table. My gf and I took my sister who is from out of town for dinner, I picked Marlow's because she is a Vegetarian and I knew they had a few things that she could eat. We ordered the J.T.'s Kettle Chips as an appetizer, without the bacon of course, and it was a big hit. In fact, we all ate way to much causing us to not finish our entrees. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Panini, and it was awesome. It had a lot of different flavors and the Toasted Focaccia was a great touch. As a side I ordered the white cheddar grits on the recommendation of the server...very good..i highly recommend trying them. My gf got the Mongolian "BBQ Style" Steak which I took a bite of and it was really good...deep flavors. My sister ordered the Black Bean Veggie Burger and she hasn't stopped talking about it since. She has been a vegetarian for 7 years and veggie burgers are a common item that she orders when going out. She said by far it was the best she has ever had. Being the fat ass that I am, I used her claim as an excuse to give it a try and wow, I may order it next time and I love meat. The kitchen was running a little slow that night, i actually heard a few people complaining, but we didn't mind since we had our appetizers real quick and plenty of good drafts to keep us busy. I highly recommend this spot.

Haven't tried the food yet so my rating is based on solely on experience up to this point with gift certificate process and wait times. I wanted to purchase a gift certificate for my sister and her hubby for her birthday as they have been wanting to try Marlow's for a while now after it's opened at the Avenue. Took me 32 minutes to get a gift certificate on a Sun afternoon. THIRTY TWO minutes. Had to purchase from bar and bartender was extremely busy. He took my card and by the time he rang up the certificate and waited on other bar patrons, I had stood there for 30+ minutes. Figured it was just busy and brunch time and because I didn't really have anywhere else to be, I just shrugged it off and assumed food must be pretty good. Needless to say, my sister has YET to eat there even though she has attempted a total of three times since last August. All three times, the wait has been so long that her and her hubby finally gave up and just came back home. Last time, they waited over an hour and a half. First time she went, it was a Saturday so she figured that was the problem. Other two times were weekday nights and no difference in wait times. Heard from a neighbor who ate there that even if you do get seated, you are looking at another 30+ min wait to get your food after you order. $50 and 5 months later, my sister still hasn't found the time or energy to brave the waiting lines so I'm not sure I'll ever know if the food has been worth the hassle up to this point.

We dined at Marlow's recently for my birthday and had a wonderful lunch. Our waiter was knowledgable about the menu and checked with the chef regarding food allergies in our family. We had an appetizer of delicious kettle chips. The kids ordered off a kids menu and our waiter asked if we wanted their food brought out first, which was a big yes! I had a zesty Po-Boy and side salad for the Bayou and Bourbon menu. We will definitely return!

Came here once with the family for some appetizers. We sat at high top tables, which I was fine with but we had 3 young kids with us so it was a bit of a hassle for them (constantly jumping on and off the chairs). Our waitress was nice and the service was generally quick. I split the chicken panini with my friend and got a side salad with it. The panini was a little bland for me; it could have had more flavor. The side salad was simple but refreshing. My cousin got buffalo wings, and I really loved the buffalo sauce. A bit different than I'm used to, in a good way. It was creamier than average. Overall food was good, but nothing exceptional or unique. I really liked the atmosphere. It was modern but had a homey vibe to it. Relaxed and sophisticated. I would deffinitely come again if I was in the area so I could try something else.

This place has got some pretty good food, the aptmoshere is nice, gets pretty busy, the staff was good and attentive. The only problem I really have with this place is the restroom situation, one toilet, a packed place and a lot of beer just does not mix! Bad planning I suppose. Will be back.

Went last night for dinner with a friend. The host said the wait would be 20 minutes so we bellied up to the bar for a pre-dinner drink. I got a blueberry something, one of their specialty drinks, and it was far too sweet and lacked real blueberry flavor. The wait for our table was really only about 10 minutes which was nice. We ordered the truffle parm fries which were good but could have been a bit more truffley and crispier and the chips with bleu cheese. The chips were very tasty but there were no bleu cheese crumbles to be found on the plate and the sauce was green which didn't exactly scream bleu cheese. My friend decided on fish tacos for her meal and said they were very tasty. I had the black and bleu burger again it came with the green sauce and without any melted bleu cheese which was rather disappointing. I will say that the burger was cooked to temp and the bun was nice and fresh. I got asparagus fries as my side and they were very tasty, with the citrus aioli. My dining companion and I both tried the BLT bloody mary next and it was excellent. Nice flavor, although I would have loved a bit more spice, next time I will ask for spicy. Overall the food was good nothing to write home about though. The service was alright. We had 2 servers who were kinda tag teaming our table which was a bit confusing but it worked. Everyone working there seemed to be unhappy and we tried to get an employees attention multiple times and they just walked by without looking at us. Not acceptable to someone who is in the food service industry.

Yay, another great place to grab some drinks and good food in Cumming! Its my favorite spot for meeting with friends after work. I heart the staff here: they all have a caring, can-do vibe that you just can't train for. I love how they remember you from past visits. (Hmmm...I just saw enough review that said the contrary about service -- not sure what that is all about.) The menu does something for everyone without that mediocre chain execution. Love the flatbreads, burgers, ahi and the salads totally rock. You must try the fried asparagus app. Nom, nom :). My only pout factor was the early crowd when it first opened but that seems to have settled down.

My wife suggested we try the Hudson Grille tonight. I looked on Yelp and said, "Ya know...this place called Marlow's has much better reviews, let's try that instead." A note to my fellow Yelpers who already rated this place: I'm sorry...but you totally let me down. Without any stretch of the truth, I've had better meals at Applebee's and I haven't eaten there in almost a decade (by choice). When we arrived at 7:15, they told us it would be an hour wait. We took the time to walk around the mall area, browsing various boutiques and stores. We came back in exactly 1 hour and they still weren't ready for us. Thirty minutes later and it's 8:45 and they're still not able to seat us. By 8:52, they're finally calling us to let us know they're ready. We grabbed the kids and went into the entryway. They weren't ready. Our table was still dirty and needed to be cleared. Ten minutes later and they finally came to get us for our table. We reminded them that we needed a high chair (for the second time) and our host disappeared to go look for one, but not before trying to talk us into a booster chair (our son in 1 year old and would have easily slid out of a booster). By the time we got seated and had the high chair, my nerves were shot and we were frustrated. We placed our drink orders only to find out they were out of one of their signature drinks we really had set out hearts on. I then ordered the most expensive glass of Pinot Noir on the wine list. It came and tasted sour and bitter (so not like any Oregon pinot I've ever tasted). When the food arrived, it was really mediocre, not anything like what these previous Yelp reviews had hyped it up to be whatsoever. My BBQ ribs were scorched to the point of carbon, the edible parts were chewy and mostly made of fat and not actual meat. The fried mac & cheese sounded so incredible on the menu, but did not taste anything close to what you would hope and anticipate it would. My BBQ chicken was the standout winner of the night. It was really delicious on several levels. They had run out of the corn muffins the dish was supposed to come with and when I asked what else was available, they really weren't sure and could only name 2 options. I went with the grit cakes, which were dry and bland as sawdust. For the dessert, we got the creme brulee and were even disappointed with this dish. I think this experience will probably go down as being the biggest Yelp letdown I've ever experienced where the prior reviews extolling the virtues of the establishment were nowhere even close to what we experienced in reality. We would not ever come back here again, even if it was free.

The absolute best burger that Cumming has to offer. There really isn't much more to say about this burger other than order it. Medium rare with whatever trimmings you like. Yes you do want the fries. Homestyle fresh cut and crispy. If you just aren't in a burger mood, order something else. It's hard to go wrong here. I have had almost half the menu and it is all tasty. One word of advice, if you come at noon or any other prime eating time, either show up early or be prepared to wait. Marlow's gets very busy and for good reason. Positively one of the best spots to eat in Cumming.

I loved coming to any Marlow's for brunch and dinner. I thought everything on the menu was excellent. The cocktails are just as great. Service is always excellent. This was my first time coming to Marlow's in Cumming. The hostess was the most professional hostess I've ever met. She remembers names and what we like and did everything in her power to lead my friend to my table as if i'm some VIP. Even our server Matt. He was so attentive and always back for refills. I felt like a super star there. I had small bites and drinks with a friend. I really came for the mushroom toast but was told that was taken off the menu. Boo! I guess everything else was just as tasty like the firecracker shrimps and flatbread. Although the food may sound ordinary, I think the service was what I enjoyed the most.

Everything here is pretty good. The cocktails are awesome! However, service is slow and prices are a little more than they should be. This isn't the type of restaurant to where you expect to pay $12 per drink; however, that is the amount some of their cocktails actually are priced. If they would speed up service and come down a couple of dollars on drinks, then it would be pretty perfect.

Yum yum yum! This place is great!Super crowded on weekend nights, so do not expect to get right in and sit down. Have a drink at the bar. Fried Asparagus is great, hummus also yummy to munch on. Food portions are huge and plated nicely. Great place for a date- a little noisy though. Servers are pleasant and attentive.

I was out shopping decided to give Marlow's another try and again average food for above average prices. With their limited menu I can't imagine why they can't get the food out hot and on a consistently good basis. I'll be another 6 months before I give him a try. Disappointed again

I've been to several Marlow's Tavern locations around Atlanta over the years, and am consistently impressed with the food and service. They change some of the menu based on what's seasonally available, but the staples are all good, too. The last time I came to this location was a few years ago when I worked in Alpharetta and my mom lived on the other side of 400. I remember we came and watched a movie at the AMC across the street, and got a glass of wine at Marlow's beforehand. They have this cool outdoor bar on the patio that's really fun to sit and eat at. On this particular occasion, we came over after an event at Lanier Tech. We chose to sit on the patio because the weather was nice and the inside was really cold. Our server quickly greeted us and brought a round of waters while we chose our drinks. I ended up with a glass of pinot grigio, and my fiance had a high gravity beer. The server told us it was bottled, but they brought it out in a pint glass. Maybe they don't want the bottles on the tables? We started off with Wild Mushroom Toast and calamari. The toast was really, really good. The bread they served it on was thick, but not too mushy if the dish sat for awhile. The cream the mushrooms are cooked in was complimentary without overpowering the natural taste of the 'shrooms but did take that edge off. The calamari was different, but in a good way. It reminded me more of sweet and sour flavors, like what you'd get from a Chinese restaurant, with red bell peppers tossed in. Still, it was tender and flavorful. My only gripe is they don't pick out tentacles - you have to get the pre-mixed bag. My fiance and I don't like tentacles, but as luck would have it, my mom and her fiance do! So, it worked out in this case, but we won't order it if they aren't with us. All of our entrees came out quickly after we got the apps. We had to get creative for a bit with all the plates. I had the Asian Ahi Tuna salad for my entree, and, like everything else, it was good. The tuna was cooked perfectly (this has become a new favorite of mine), and was served with a sauce that added great flavor. Surprisingly, the avocado went well with all these flavors, but I feel they were a little skimpy with the amount given, especially for the price tag. Fiance had the crispy short rib, and the meat was inconsistently cooked. Some ends were a little dry and didn't have much flavor, whereas the middle tasted better. The sauteed kale and jalapeno grits were also really good. He enjoyed it more than I did. My mom stuck with the Tavern salad, which really looked like a pile of lettuce on a dinner plate from my seat. Something I probably won't order because I can make it at home. Her fiance got the Black & Blue steak salad because they were out of lamb, and he seemed to enjoy it. Again, not something I would order because I despise blue cheese. A midst it all, the service was great. Our cups were full, and the server made great drink recommendations, especially considering he's not into beer. The other servers/food runners who helped him were also equally courteous without being intrusive while we had an engrossing discussion about our upcoming weddings and potential honeymoon destinations (some of our group is well traveled and were making recommendations based on their experiences). Check it out if you haven't already!

We came here after a movie next door. It was pretty crowded for a Thursday night but I think m they generally tend to stay busy. We were still able to get a booth fairly quickly. Service and food was prompt. Really enjoyed the kettle chips with the cheese. Really addictive. Wish there was more cheese on it though. Maybe you can request extra? I loved my fish tacos! So good and a pretty nice fish portion. I tried the shrimp and grits and they were just ok to me. The plus was they were not skimpy on the shrimpy. The shrimp portion was nice. It was over a cheddar grit cake which was different than the traditional shrimp and grits. I'll be back for the Gorgonzola topped kettle chips and fish tacos.

Went there after work on Friday 5-1-2015 the bar was full with 1 seat open and I asked if this seat was taken, he looked down at his foot that was on the chair and back at the bartender (lady) who just smirked and back at me, she was rude and that was my first time in there. Needless to say, if you are not a regular DON'T go to the bar !!! I was treated rudely by the jerk and by the bartender (lady the other two were men). I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND I HAVE STARTED TELLING ALL MY FRIENDS NOT TO GO !! The only reason I am giving it a star is because I can't move forward without it!!!!! They deserve no stars !!!

Been trying to get in here with my mom for months and finally found an opportunity this weekend. Our waiter was Matt who is fantastic and we started withThe seafood nachos with jalapenos which were fantastic and some wonderful Mojitos! Between the three of us we opted for the tuna tartare appetizer with fried asparagus spears, my fav- my son had their infamous burger which was done perfectly And my mom got the prime rib French dip which was absolutely the best French dip I have ever tasted!!! The service was absolutely superb, and the atmosphere was perfect for a Sunday afternoon. Matt was a great server and kept on top of us making sure we were never left behind and we finished the meal with a wonderful cream Brulé. Now that I have a location near me across the lake I will be going to that location to compare but for this location near coming we were very pleased and will be back. With great service great food and respectable value what more can you ask for . Thanks for a wonderful afternoon!!! Giving five stars as this was a day to spend with my elderly mother and she was very pleased which makes my day. Highly recommended!!!!

It was St. Patricks Day but I don't drink just eat! LOL! Decided to try out Marlow's Tavern for lunch. Very nice atmosphere but slightly dark and chilly inside. Tons of walled TVs with different channels!!! Comfy booths! Very nice waiter named Matt!!! MT is promoting a New Orleans Bayou N Boubon menu dishes for a limited time. Don't miss it! I decided on the La Cajun Boudin - which basically is a pulled pork and white rice mix meatballs appetizer with Creole rémoulade. Also ordered the New Orleans Honey-Bourbon Bread Pudding to share. The bread pudding was made with honey and vanilla crème brûlée, soaked Cuban bread and a splash of Jack Daniel's Honey. It was that good!!! From the regular menu, I got the Wild Mushrooms Toasts - which is toasted Ciabatta bread covered with different mushrooms layers in a white brandy cream with pesto oil. Husband ordered the MT Tavern Burger and added bacon. Burger was good but typical sandwich like any other tavern place. Overall the food, service, atmosphere are exceptional!!!!

Been to a few Marlow's around town and they are consistently good, if a bit noisy. This one was in line on both counts. We told the waiter we need to leave at a certain time in order to make a movie and he certainly accommodated that request quite well. Food is good and plentiful. Try the corn and jalapeno grits.

The food and service are amazing. Just wish it was a little larger... Every time we have gone there has been a significant wait for a table. Clearly the food is worth the wait though. Convenience to AMC and great shopping is a bonus.

Service was awesome but the food not!! Hummas had way too much garlic slop on top and the shrimp and grits was NOT good .. I think people should stick to drinks here not dinner

Marlow's is decent. Always packs a good crowd. Service is pretty good, but food is just okay to me. Started with the calamari: crisp and served with peppers in a sweet and spicy chili sauce. Not bad! Next was a black bean burger. The bun was dry and awful. The burger itself was pretty good, but nothing spectacular. It was served with a plethora of fries. My favorite thing here is the sangria. It has chunks of fruit and cilantro. Pretty tasty. I'd most likely come back for drinks alone!

Great service... Will (server) was great explaining the information to us as first-timers. The "shrimp and grits" was great and the turkey club was pretty decent also. The dirty martini was made well. We will be back. Bar atmosphere (a little loud)...but didn't mind.

My husband and I come here once every few months and have NEVER left feeling dissatisfied or hungry! We don't eat red meat, but we made an exception for their black and blue burger! Cooked to order, PERFECTLY. Produce on burger is fresh and the fries are heavenly :-) Service is always great too. Waitstaff is super friendly and knowledgable in regards to their menu, which we appreciate! Not overly kid friendly (which we are totally ok with!) so that adds to the mature factor we look for in a restaurant. All in all it's worth it!!

Waited an acceptable 30 minutes for a table on a Saturday night before being seated outdoors, which was great because inside was extremely loud. My date ordered a house white wine which arrived barely a third of the glass full. When we mentioned the small portion the waitress said "it widens out at the bottom". Should have sent the $7 glass back but didn't. She ordered the flatbread special and was surprised it was served cold (waitress checked, yes, correct). I had the buffalo chicken wrap which was served warm, not hot. Side salad with honey mustard was good. All in all a very loud, crowded place and a bit pricey, but the place to be seen in the shopping center. But I doubt you'll see me there much.

Blah. Great homemade chips, and the rest went downhill. Was there on a Saturday for lunch, service was mediocre, worst chicken wings I've ever eaten, the crab nachos tasted like the crab came from a fast food place..there's better food out there...won't be back

Horrible management. Was at bar with 4 friends. This kid comes in drunk out of his mind with an older guy. Must know bartenders because they actually gave them a drink. Kid got in the face of the female people in restaurant, loud, and grabbing everyone. Told manager and bar staff they didn't care. Good luck Marlows. Hopefully they did not get in a car. We left before them and had dinner somewhere else.

I'm almost looking for a bad experience because I haven't had one. This place simply gets it done. My folks and I are local and whether we come together or not, we always leave happy. Food is consistently great, not just good. I don't even know where to start on that front. Let me try and be brief. Burgers are awesome. Sister always gets buffalo chicken wrap and swears by it. Wings are great and a nice change up to your traditional wing plate as they use Gorgonzola vs Bleu cheese and a generous side of celery/carrots to "keep it balanced." They half-oven bake and half-fry them which the result is damn good. The price point for their food is not bad at all in my opinion with today's market prices. The sides are awesome, lightly fried whole okra being my personal favorite. They had a seasonal menu recently (New Orleans) and I had the Shrimp Po'Boy. I was impressed. Shrimp was not only great, but also there was so much I had to eat half of it open face before I could fold it into a sandwich. Enough food. Ray, Matty, Jackie, Torrey, and Erin (sorry if I butchered your spelling Erin) are superb at what they do. High marks to those folks.. It's hard to find not only good bartenders from a technical level, but I also enjoy talking with this bunch and this Marlow's clientele. Service has always been outstanding and to me that's also a reflection of good management. I look back to a less than pleasant day I had last year and Ray/Torrey turned my day upside down. I'm 95% a beer guy at restaurants/bars (haven't had a bad draught here btw and good balanced selection), but I had Torrey throw me together a bourbon drink having some fun. It came with some orange peel and was a home run. My onlyyyyy (sorry guys!) complaint is they need to fix the patio heating when it's cold. I made fun with the waiter that I felt as if I was standing next to a Boeing getting ready to take off. Loud fans. We did have to move inside just because our party couldn't hold conversation so just 1 thing I think they'd benefit from switching to heating coils etc. Apart from that minor issue, 5 stars guys and gals. Keep it up! Oh 1 last thing per food..so the Royale is their premium Kobe beef burger, and it's really good, but for real their regular burgers are never disappointing. A true medium.

This place is always busy and maybe that's why they are so slow. It took forever for our food to come out but once it did is was pretty good. I was surprised at how much I liked the salmon. The staff was very friendly and they were all knowledgeable about gluten. So as I only eat gluten free they were able to bring me a great menu to choose from. I gave it a 4 because they have good food, a friendly knowledgable staff and they offer a great gluten free menu. If they were able to serve faster I'd give it 5

Came to Marlow's Tavern for the first time tonight as a Fathers Day/Early Birthday dinner. Our server was extremely pleasant and offered several suggestions on the menu. Ended up ordering the Asparagus Fries as an appetizer and was pleasantly surprised how tasty they were. We then received a complimentary plate of the Kettle Chips since it was our first time here. Also very good. Entree was the Royale with Cheese, a wagyu beef burger. Slightly overdone but still very good. Finally, we had the Rumchata Tres Leches for desert, which I did not like and could not recommend. Overall a great venue and staff provided a good experience.

I've been to several Marlow locations and they never disappoint. I was impressed that they had tennis playing when Wimbledon was going on, which made me like this local spot even more. My favorite menu items are the firecracker shrimp, ahi tuna, calamari and burgers. Drink specials are also a plus

Love this place so much! They have the most amazing hamburgers and fish tacos! The chicken wings are excellent as well. You really just can't go wrong here... the food is tasty and always impeccably fresh! Every time we go the manager on duty is always coming around and checking to make sure your food is on point! Oh, and the Gorgonzola dressing is to die for!

I am an employee at this store and I enjoy this job to the fullest extent. This location is consistently one of the busiest of the 13 currently open Taverns. All tables and bar chairs are first-come, first-serve. If you're planning a night out on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, expect to wait an hour or so for a table. The food is traditional American cuisine, with prices ranging from $8-$20. The shrimp and grits are awesome, and priced at $15. A popular place for good reason. Service is personable, friendly, and professional. Marlow's is truly one of a kind for the area. Don't forget to request to sit in Dan's section! Hope to see you soon!

Great place to kick back, have a drink, enjoy some great food, and surround yourself with good people! The burgers are fantastic, and the shrimp and grits are a force to be reckoned with. Hard to get a table without a wait, but it's in a mall, so you can shop while you wait!

A bar that has hot bartenders, a unique drink list and yummy appetizers? Yes please! I'll take one of each! Came here for a get together with some girls from work and was pleasantly surprised. After making our way through the large crowd and standing at the bar because no seats were available, I was prepared for a let down, but soon some seats opened up and the drinks and apps really impressed! We all got the Blueberry Buck cocktail that one of the girls was obsessed with and it truly was amazing. Subtle blueberry flavor with bubbly ginger beer. Pretty much my new favorite drink now! Multiple rounds soon followed. For an appetizer, we ordered the asparagus fries with citrus aioli. So so good. Perfect bar food. Definitely looking forward to trying more of the menu. The goat cheese french toast and firecracker shrimp sounded amazing! This location is a bit of a drive for me, but may be well worth it for the eye candy. ;)

Just what I expected. Perfectly acceptable meal! The jalapeno, corn grits were very good. The rest was good and worth what was paid. The service was nice and helpful. The place was attractive, although a little loud. Overall, it was what I expected!

Love this place! We live close by so it is great to come in and have a drink at the bar or get a booth if we have our kids with us. The food is always good! The hummus app is my favorite and if you come during Bayou n Bourbon theme, don't leave without getting the bread pudding. You will not be disappointed!! This place has become our neighborhood bar and restaurant. The staff is very friendly.

This is a great place to meet up before hitting movie or to go out for drinks with friends. It even a great place to go with the kids. My kids love it, so does my hubby. The first time we hit this place we were surprised with a free app that they just brought out for us because they wanted us to come back. Isn't that sweet? My favorite thing to eat was by far the fried asparagus but everything was good there. Very fresh food, everything came out hot and everyone was happy and full when we left. They have a nice inviting décor and For a pub it was inviting and squeaky clean. We now make this place a must visit every time we visit our family in Cumming. Yum! Yum! Yum!
