Everybody I know who grills ... wants to find a place like Ferguson's. This is the place where you can get a grill if you don't have one, get grill supplies and specialty wood chips. Find the exact cuts of beef, pork, chicken, etc. that you have been looking for ... and they are fresh, fresh, fresh. They also have light groceries for convenience purposes (read that as a little pricey); and some ready-to-eat BBQ, etc. at a small case in the back. They offer a BBQ special with pounds of BBQ, buns, sides, etc. all at a very good price. Picnic tables on the store front porch ... and you are in business! Give this place a visit if you are the Grill King at your house. It is a good resource to know about, and a quick place to grab some decent BBQ.

EXPIRED FOOD more than 1 YEAR Past expiration! I picked up 3 different things that were more than a year past their expiration. Dirty place and very unsafe. Meat even looks old.

I have been to ferguson two times now since hearing about it. First time was a great experience but similar to other yelpers the staff has a serious attitude. Went there today and had a whole different experience that will remove this from my go to meat market. Went to get a beef brisket and silly me thinking they are a meat market/butcher they would cut me a piece more tailored to what I needed. Wow was I wrong. If it was me who went to the store and not my husband I would have handed them back everything else that I was about to buy. When checking out he was asked if he got everything he needed and said no and explained what he didn't get and why. Her response it depends who you get if they will cut it. Really??? That's an acceptable business practice??? When he explained how much (2 llbs) she gave an excuse and he said well I won't be back and she said well we have the best meat in town..Well you may have the best meat and town but your service sucks and while that hasn't made a difference in your sales YET it will at some point.

Excellent meats! A large variety and great cuts at a reasonable price. They have a great selection of individual portions and good selection of very large cuts that can be used for large parties or to store and cut for future use. Only complaint is their service/staff. You can see on their face they're not happy to be there nor offer any assistance which reflects on management and leadership but the meats are great!

Excellent meats at competitive prices. We love this place. Yea the butchers could use a course in how to treat customers better, but they are busy as heck, with customers pushing one another to get their attention. And have you ever been to a butcher shop in NY or Philly? Ferguson's butchers are teddy bears compared to other parts of the country. We have always been serviced quickly and got what we needed at Ferguson's. Their smoked bacon is the best, and we love their NY strip steaks. We are in our early 60's and try to eat less, so I take a single NY Strip steak and cut into 2 filets to grill. They are wonderful! Their potato salad is the best in town (and I came from eastern Penna and grew up on Amish style potato salad). But the best find is their cheese cakes. They have a source for damaged or seconds in cheese cakes. They are fantastic, and only $5.99 for a cheese cake that would sell for $50 anywhere else. Be ready when you go in, because they are a busy place. And by the way, we used Patton's in Duluth - they are good but just as much attitude from the butchers or more than here. The butchers at Wilkes nearby are far more aggressive than the Ferguson's guys. i think every butcher shop has a couple of older guys who are strong willed, and 2 or 3 younger guys trying to fit in by being a tough guy. That's who butchers are. if you want to be coddled, go to a grocery store. But if you know what you want, and look for higher quality, then go to Ferguson's. They're a very good source for meats and cheese cake!

This meat market has been around for years and we have always enjoyed their food! I've never had a bad experience with the staff, only good. We love the owner, John- he is very personable and accommodating! The food is delicious and my family and I highly recommend this place.

I'm giving this facility only 1 star because they don't wear gloves, and several of their behind-the-counter associates have a terrible attitude. I have called the Dept. of Agriculture and they do not have specific rules on wearing gloves unless it's prepared deli type meats, bakery, etc. However, retail meat people should wear gloves because they do touch the meat and we have no idea where their hands have been. I guess with their location (not near a grocery store) they feel they have so much business they don't need to adhere to common sense of sanitation!

I bought a hot lunch at Ferguson's recently on a recommendation from my mother who works close by. She did not steer me wrong. I got some friend chicken, green beans, mac and cheese, and corn bread. I got a plate for Doug W and he had ribs, baked beans and mac and cheese with jalapeno corn bread. each plate was $5.99 and huge. Everything was tasty. The bread seemed homemade. I can't wait to go back for more.

I don't know what Ferguson's secret is but no one comes anywhere close to the quality of this butcher. Get a steak cut from anywhere then get the like cut from Ferguson's. You will pick the Ferguson steak as the winner every time. It is not unusual for us to meet people coming from as far away at Marietta (about 30 miles) just to get a Ferguson steak. The rest of the store sells regular food stuffs, but go here for your steaks and you will never look back. Heck we don't even go to steak restaurants anymore because the quality of what we can cook at home so far surpasses everything else out there.

High quality meat, for a great price! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great place to get great steak and such. They even have a small selection of veggies to pick up at the last minute. Definitely will be returning and will try their deli section with prepared dishes.

Hubby won't buy meat anywhere else. And the fresh made salsa is kicking! If you're lucky, they'll have it buy one/get one!

Great selection of meat including bacon, sausage, steaks, and seafood.

Homemade bratwurst, Italian sausage and Cajun sausage plus many choices of fresh meat and BBQ. It's worth the trip up 400 and they have specials to stock your freezer too.
