This is one of my "steady" meal places. Wife and I go here once or twice a month because we know what we're going to get. "Predictable" has its allure when you've been ducking curveballs all day long and don't want one served on your dinner plate. Tonight's meal was a notch above the usual 3 star fare, as was the one two weeks ago. A new cook has come on the scene, and the restaurant owner now does floor duty. I'd like to think that the happy result is better flavor and texture in all dishes. I was adventurous tonight and popped for the Spicy Mango Chicken, a Malay dish and not normally something I'd order in a Chinese-oriented (pun) restaurant. I am used to having a slight curry undernote in this particular dish, but was delighted by the crisp notes in AH's version, with medium-plus heat. Their sizzling rice soup is always extraordinary, something I will drive 7 miles to bring home for comfort food (see previous review). I hope this little family business weathers this economic storm. We need more mom n' pop shops where their pride shows through in service and products.

Got stuck waiting for meds at CVS and decided to have dinner here last week. I think it's geared toward take out but we dined in and had a very pleasant experience. The lady behind the counter was also who waited on us, she was very polite and even told me where I could get some of the statues like they had on their wall. We ordered soup, egg rolls and pad Thai chicken and we were stuffed, we shared the pad Thai and still had enough leftovers for 2 more meals. The portions at night are very substantial. They also have Thai iced tea, now my boyfriend can get a good one in town and not just in Kennesaw. At the end of the meal we were brought a plate of fresh cut oranges along with the customary fortune cookies which was a nice change from other places! The food is great and the egg rolls were huge so bring your appetite and a friend.

It is not the best or the worst....delivery was prompt and much faster than the time quoted. The egg drop and rice soup was good. The sesame chicken was soggy and lacked flavor as did the pork fried rice.

This place is truly one of the best places to eat at in the Cumming area. A real diamond in the rough. If you're looking for scrumptious, quick Thai or Chinese take-out that is so incredibly lush you won't want to share, look no further. If you happen to live in the Cumming area and enjoy a good Thai meal, you probably already know that most of the Thai places around here are awful. My partner and I took a chance and ordered from here late one Sunday evening and boy are we glad we did. The woman who answers the phone is very pleasant and will make every effort to accommodate you. (We're vegetarians and sometimes it's difficult to find places that will substitute tofu for chicken, that sort of thing.) The prices are very reasonable and the portions are epic. The food, naturally, is the best part. The spring rolls are simply out of this world. We've tried most every curry they serve and you really can't go wrong with any of them. (The green is our favorite. WITHOUT CELERY.) We always order the Pad Thai! It is truly some of the best in the Atlanta area. The General Tso's sauce is just incredible! It's got a wonderful balance between the sweet and spicy. Yum! Yum! We've only ever ordered take-out, however the inside is very clean and charming. This is perfect food for an evening in front of the TV with a special someone! ;)

I'm so disappointed! I thought this place would be great according to these reviews. The masaman curry was almost tasteless. The wontons were stale and the soup was just ok. Can somebody recommend a better place around here to order delivery?

Have been going to Hong Kong in Cumming. This is a great alternative. Very good New York style Chinese food. Ordered the Mu shu pork and it was fantastic.

What a great place! Out of the way (you have to look for it in strip behind a Walgreens) you will not find better Thai food anywhere! We had fantastic Panang Curry with beef and wonderful Thai Basil Grouper at very reasonable price. House fried rice and Thai iced tea are not to be missed either.

Food was excellent. Crab Rangoon delicious. Tum Yum soup was tangy and tasty. The service was great. The lady out front was friendly and funny. She had me laughing the entire time. I order take-out from here a lot, but decided to dine in.

Took a couple bites and threw the entire meal out. Ordered via delivery, for one person, cost $25 with tip for one entree and one appetizer. Crab rangoons were actually good, but the entire entree was horrible - general tso's chicken with steamed rice. Rice was almost cold, chicken seemed old or overcooked. Just tasted bad. Will not order from here again.

The food is on par with what one would expect from one of those fast food "Chinese" places at Hartsfield, and the service doesn't measure up to that level of mediocrity. We were looking for a Chinese restaurant in Cumming and were guided to this place by the rather favorable reviews on Yelp. Do yourself a favor, and don't make the same mistake we did.

Very good service compliments very good food. I've tried several dishes and all were really good, really fresh, and if I wanted a little substitution they smiled and just took care of me. I wish it were closer, but make a point of stopping in whenever I'm near. I'd rate them 5 if the decor and location were a little better, in truth they deserve it on all else.

I have been looking all over Atlanta for good New York style Chinese food and have been disappointed in just about all of them. Asian House was a pleasant surprise. The food is pretty good and fairly close to the flavors I remember. I've spoken to the owner and he is from Long Island, so he is familiar with what NY style Chinese food should taste like. The Thai food is so so, but the Chinese is better than any other place I've eaten at in the Atlanta metro area. The egg rolls and the soup are great. The entrees are pretty good (my wife loves their orange chicken). The Lo Mein is very good as well. We've tried a few of the other entrees and they are good enough to keep us coming back. The only issue we've had is they tend to forget stuff if you get take-out, so check your bag or box before you leave to avoid a 2nd trip back.

Great delivery chinese. Food is always hot when it arrives. Only downside is they are often forgetful when you make special requests.

We live not too far from Asian House (the sign needs to be fixed -- right now it says "Asian Hose" - hilarious) and discovered this little gem (and i mean little... your Windermere home standard breakfast area is larger) only a few months ago. But we are soooo hooked. They positively have the best sizzling rice soup we have ever tasted -- ANYWHERE -- not even any better in Hong Kong! And if you're into Thai, try the coconut chicken - but beware... it's spicy! We haven't had everything since we're sort of creatures of habit, but we tend to stick to the house specialties. Our faves are the Mongolian Triple, the Salt & Pepper Shrimp, Triple Delight, and Four Season. We also love their Mu Shu! ALWAYS get the house special fried rice. It's a meal in itself and we eat the leftovers for days. It's a little hard to find, but look for it behind the Walgreen's where Trammel Road hits 20.

I have ordered delivery from here on several occasions and have always loved the food. I usually get General Tso's or Schezwan Chicken with fried rice. The food always comes quickly and steaming hot. On a few occasions they have even given us extra food for free, be it egg rolls or soup, which is great because who gives free anything these days? Pleasantly surprising. And crunchy sweet fortune cookies, which is always my favorite part :P Recently we dined in for the first time. The decor is simple, cozy and clean. One app and entree cost about $15 (tip not included) and was fresh and yummy, and more than enough for 2-3 meals for one person. The lady even brought us a sliced orange at the end of our meal which again, was very nice of them and a good way to end the meal :) Everyone there was friendly and they even boxed up the leftovers for us themselves. It's definitely the best Chinese food in town, so do check it out.

Had this for the first time tonight and it was the best chinese food ive ever had. I got the grilled teryaki chicken and it was very fresh and flavorful. It was delivered 15 min earlier then what they said as well. Definitely going to be ordering this more often!

1st time here and was very pleasantly surprised, place is small but very clean and nice decor! Service both friendly and prompt. We shared the house special rice which was loaded with chicken, shrimp, and pork, this alone was a meal for two. The crab rangoons were sinfully delicious for an appetizer. Main courses were the sweet and sour chicken and General Tso's chicken, big portions of both and lots of leftovers to go! We are already planning next week's visit, little gem of a place hidden in a strip plaza just off 20 in Cumming. Looking forward to the spicy mango chicken as well as a few of there Thai dishes, bring on the heat!

I will usually order shrimp fried rice or lo mein when I am trying a Chinese restaurant, for the first time. These are basic dishes that most Chinese restaurants do really well. This is my first time trying Asian House and I ordered the Shrimp Lo Mein. Sorry to say the noodles reminded me of giant over-cooked ramen noodles. The shrimp and the spring roll I added was good. I may give them another try on another dish, since overall the meal was tasty, just wish the noodles were prepared better. Oh and the fortune cookie was stale.

For less than $7.50 got a large lunch plate of massaman curry. Some of the best I've had since living on the west coast! Excellent value and quality

The food arrived hot and earlier than the estimated 45 minute wait. The rice was great and so was the Crab Rangoon. I ordered General Tso's chicken and selected "spicy", but what i received was more along the lines of " orange chicken" and it was sweet. The next problem was that they failed to provide silverware with my delivery order. Prices were reasonable and the portion sizes were big. What really bothered me was the fact they have multiple drink options and I specifically avoided the fountain drinks because I wanted cans or bottles. They gave me a cup filled with ice and maybe 7 ounces of soda for like 1.85 I believe. I didn't want fountain soda! That's why I didn't select it! This would have been a 3 star eview, but they were nice enough to include a free side order of rice, like another reviewer said. Not common to receive free things.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
