Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I went to the new location in Conyers. Really nice place. I ordered what was suppose to be lemon pepper wings. The wings barely had any seasoning. Instead of sending the wings back I requested a little lemon pepper on the side. I get my bill and I was charged 29 cent for wing sauce. ARE YOU REALLY KIDDING ME!!!!!!! Stop nickel and dime-ing people.

We ordered take out from here, prior to take out from Mama Marias. We should have skipped Marias lol. The food here was much better, sauce had way more flavor, and nothing tasted frozen, canned, or soggy in texture. The individual that took our order was polite, and didn't talk over me while trying to place my order. Husband thinks they have the best hamburger he has ever had. :-)

They ARE open on Sundays, contrary to what Yelp tells you. Pretty decent draft selection: Terrapin, Sweerwater, Blue Moon, Yuengling, and the typical American selections. Very friendly, honest staff on the Sunday night I stopped in. The burger was above average; the bleu cheese made it even better. Fries tasted like fresh cut, however I was wrong. Definitely will be back.

YUM! Literally best buffalo chicken pizza I've ever had. They let me choose - feta and ranch on the bottom = most amazing ever. Server was great. Outside seating was a nice bonus. Normal college looking bar inside, but for a sunday afternoon, the pizza was phenom and the beer a nice added relaxer.

Decent restaurant service excellent, food ok I had the buffalo chicken pizza I was not impressed with the crust of pizza almost tasted stale, frozen, maybe made earlier in the week, not sure. Other foods on menu would be worth trying, if I was in town a little longer.

Margherita pizza (extra large) - freshly sliced basil was nice, but the canned tomatoes they put on top honestly ruined the pizza Antipasti salad was alright. It was made with an iceberg lettuce salad mix instead of romaine, spinach, arugula, or any of the other greens I would have expected o see. The ham and salami were tasty, though. Overall, definitely not worth the $35 we paid for these two items.

I was on travel and was looking to get a good meal and I have to say Amici was excellent. The arugula salad was aces and then the pizza was nothing short of spectacular. The salad and large was the perfect portion. Top shelf ingredients and baked to perfection.

BEWARE!!!!! No stars!!! I paid my server with $100 bill on friday night and was given change for a $50. I didn't realize it until the next day. I immediately went back and spoke with the Asst Manager the next day who said she would look into the situation and call me back as I am from out of town and needed the money to get back home. The manager never called me back. When I called her she stated she looked into the situation and spoke with the General Manager who said the books for that evening showed no overages. She also said they were unable to get in touch with the server. Instead of taking care of me as a customer and resolving the issue she brushed me off and referred me to the corporate office. I believe this to be completely unacceptable. I will never return to any Amici again and suggest that anyone who does and pays in cash make sure you are given the correct change. Dumb move on my part for not double checking the server and for patronizing that location in the first place. I then contacted the owner of the establishment who stated they would do an investigation. The results were that they claim the server did in fact give me the correct change. Dishonesty from the bottom to the top with this place.

I went there on a Wednesday, $.60 wing night. I ordered the wings, my waiter was super attentive, the food came quickly, the food taste and temperature was great. This is the best restaurant in town!
(5)Annie B.
If you want to find the local hot spot on Wednesday, this is it. Wing Wednesday brings out all the local folks. Great time to socialize but don't expect to get a table right away. I would suggest going a bit early especially if you have more than 4 people in your group. Lots of fun and worth the wait. (as long as it's not more than 30 minutes)

I have eaten at a couple of different Amici's before and this location was disappointing. They are lacking an atmosphere. One wall has a italian themed mural and the other walls are basically bare. They got our salad order wrong and the spaghetti was bland like bad leftovers. I had the chicken sandwich which comes with sauteed mushroom it they tasted more like sugar than mushrooms.

My family loves this place. I have lived in Athens, Atlanta, East Cobb, and Dunwoody and this is one of my favorites. If you love pasta, get their tortollini (but ask for alfredo sauce instead of red...this is the best alfredo I may have ever had and Italian food is my favorite). I love their wedge salad with blue cheese and bacon crumbles. Today I had their seared ahi tuna pie...was a little unsure when I ordered it, but it is a new favorite. I saw the other review and had to take a sec to share. The atmosphere is great too...right on the square in historic Covington. Today was beautiful and we sat in the courtyard outside. It isn't too pretentious/fancy, but is a very nice casual for some really yummy food. Head to Scoops afterwards for some ice cream and walk around the square...makes for a great afternoon.

The restaurant has very poor food handling practices! The servers are constantly eating and drinking while serving customers. I can imagine a manager saying..."Employees don't get a break". I would hope not, because it is a poor excuse at customers expense.I find it hilarious that they have a hand wash sink by the bar, but no one seems to use it. They conveniently wipe off the their hands on their clothes or with a dry napkin. It was flat out disgusting. I got a glimpse into the kitchen, and it was a complete joke. No gloves, no beard net, several cooks licking off sauces without washing hands, excess jiving in the kitchen etc. Urgh...There is absolutely no management in this establishment! If you are really hungry, make sure the wings are burning hot to kill the servers bacteria. This is a concern, especially during this flu season.

Great thin crust margarita pizza. Caesars salad is very good also. Wait staff generally are competent and quick to please. Recommend you NOT get the rack to elevate your pizza pan on; seems like an accident waiting to happen! Go there every couple of weeks and always order the same thing ...in a rut I guess.

Got pizza to go here while on a road trip, Good pizza, quality toppings and very prompt service. The restaurant itself has nice atmosphere for a pub, I was surprised to find one this nice in a town I considered to be small.
(4)Stephanie G.
Awesome place for pasta. They have that "lady and the tramp" feel. Very fresh food. Outside seating and a perfect view
(5)Dinitria W.
Food is good but the service is not the best... I love the authentic pizza !! It's a nice little place in a good area.. Like I stated the only problem is their service ...
(4)michael g.
Good pizza, wings and bar food. Ahi tuna flatbread and bistro salad are some of the highlights. Staff is friendly and fun. My biggest problem is they run out of everything and can be slow at table service. Overall, very good.
(4)Ned S.
Nice staff and nice surroundings don't make up for preparation of food unfortunately. You get huge portions but the food is just your typical Americanized Italian food that doesn't taste Italian enough. I had the Chicken Parmesan.
(2)Ander B.
Not sure why the rating is so low these place is fantastic. We had the pizza, chicken parm sandwich, buffalo chicken sandwich, spinach artichoke dip and Caesar salad. It was all great and the service was on point!

Wedge is the best!

Awesome!!!! Whenever I'm in town, it's one of a few places I go to. Great food, friendly staff.

Covington is nice quaint town to get away from the hub bub of Atlanta. Checked out Amici's and it's ok. Had grilled chicken salad and it's ehhhh. Not bad but nothing special. But it is a mainstay for residents of Covington. I rather go somewhere else.

Absolutely love this place! First come to covington for the filming of the Vampire Dairies and after trying this place on that first visit, whenever we come to Covington, we have to eat here. we get the wings in honey mild... sounded weird at first but turned out to be the best thing in the world. I hate that I can't figure out how to make this sauce because it's now my favorite whenever I'm craving wings. along with a order of fries which me and a friend always have to spilt because they give you an amount that can feed three and we always start off with a salad that comes with what looks like a slice of pizza but must be garlic cheese bread... SOO GOOD! you guys will love this place. Definitely will always be a favorite from the Woods in Warner Robins Ga. I tell everyone about this place. you WILL NOT regret the visit. I promise!! -Lindsey

Pizza is good sometimes. Salads are usually pretty good. Alfredo is always yummy. We've had our orders messed up here several times, and though we usually get seated immediately, the wait time to order usually takes a while, and then it's typically a good half hour before we see food... We've even waited over an hour on a few occasions for our food. For the mediocre food and slim menu options, the service should be so much faster. When we discuss hitting Amici's for dinner, we always look at our clocks to see if we have the time to dedicate to a meal there. We don't bring our family. It's not fair to make hungry kids wait that long!!

A large pie is around $22!!! That's highway robbery, and I'm from NY! The service is decent and so is the food...it's the ONLY pizza joint with pizza that even comes close to a NY pie. The greek calzone is amazing! I have gotten food poisoning from here once. I have to admit I have been back since that incident and have not been sick since.
