Because this part of Conyers has no variety whatsoever when it comes to food, this place is one of my favorites. The only thing I don't like is when I'm craving pad thai at 3:00 but have to work at 4. That break throws me off sometimes but other than that, love it.

Meh. That's all I got. The shrimp red curry was boring at best. Cashew chicken had some flavor. Fried tofu was meh. I asked what the Thai coffee was and she said "it's coffee with half and half"....that doesn't sound all that special or "Thai" to me. So skipped the coffee. I usually take photos of food but not this time, meh.

I had the chicken panang curry with white rice and a Singha. This was a very nice, delicious and relaxing restaurant. I'm glad I stumbled upon it while making a u-turn! The wait staff is very pleasant and prompt. One delicious variation of the dish is fresh avocado which I have never had before. One very minor con was I asked for the curry "Thai hot" and it was at most a 8/10 hot. Still VERY tasty, but it just didn't make my nose run!

Hands down the best Thai I've ever eaten. I used to HATE Thai food until I ate here when a co-worker took me in 2001. Since then I've never seen a health inspection below 100%. There's no other restaurant I've been to that can make that claim. Unfortunately, I haven't been in a couple of years but that's been economics rather than choice.

The food here was...ok. I would have just overlooked it and never came back. But the service was so horrible. First, when we came into the restaurant, it took a while for someone to actually greet us. There were only two other tables that had customers at the time. So it wasn't like the staff was so busy helping others- they were just standing there. When we were finally greeted, the staff told us to sit anywhere we liked. Here's a list of issues I had with this place: 1. They served us stale seafood crackers that tasted like they'd been sitting out all day. 2. They rushed to service a family that came in after us BEFORE us. You read right. About 5 minutes after we were seated, waiting for someone to acknowledge us (once again) to take our food and drink orders, another family came into the restaurant. Our melancholy waiter instantly perked up when they came in, and literally RUSHED to immediately take their orders and serve them drinks BEFORE even acknowledging us. That was the last straw. This establishment is really unprofessional and shows biases towards their clients - they do not value their customers. I will not support this business in the future.

This is my go to Thai restaurant in Conyers. I'm a fan of the curry puffs, house salad with peanut dressing, massaman curry, and Thai Garden with Tofu. If you have never tried the curry puffs- You must. They are like little puffs of fried curry. Yes, I know they are not healthy, but they are delicious. I love dipping them in the cucumber sauce. The cucumber adds a fresh and cool fusion to the spicy curry. I love spicy food; however, I have not had anything here that was too spicy. If you do not like or do not desire the heat, you can request the spice to be left out. I prefer the Massaman curry with chicken. I honestly prefer this dish because I love avocado, and it has a mild flavor. It is served with potatoes, onions, red bell peppers, cashews, and rice. The restaurant has a relaxing atmosphere, and it is generally not loud. I believe it is owned by a local family.

Great Thai food, the family really enjoys this place. The service has always been fast and friendly. The dishes are consistently yummy. So far this is my favorite place to eat in Conyers.

I've been coming to Baan Thai for years and I pretty much always order the Tilapia Tamarin. It is consistently delicious - spicy and sweet and savoury. The portion size is large. This is one of the best restaurants in Conyers. The unassuming exterior may fool you but inside it is cozy and the wait staff is always nice. I have never had to wait to be seated and the food comes promptly. Five stars for tilapia tamarin!! Yum.

My Budweiser was the best thing I had. The older woman seemed to be upset that I didn't like my food. I was mad because I still was starving and the red curry with beef was horrible.

Great place, probably representative of the best Thai you're going to get in Conyers. Prices are probably only a little cheaper than what you'd get at a better place, generally it's 10$ per entree. The service is great and people there are super nice. If you're too far from Atlanta, this is definitely the place to go to.

This is some of the best Thai food I've had in and around Atlanta. I live in Atlanta now and have been to King and I and a few other notable Thai restaurants and this place has them all beat. My mom still lives in Conyers and I literally go visit her just so that I can eat at this restaurant. In addition to the food being great, the service is outstanding. I'm fairly sure it's a small family business because the same people are always there greeting and serving. This place is definitely worth a trek OTP if you're desperate for some good Thai and if you happen to be seeing this review in search of food while you're driving down I-20...GET OFF THE HIGHWAY AND GO HERE NOW!!! The Coconut Soup here is what I measure all other Thai restaurants by and I've had pretty much every curry they serve, all of which are delicious. Also, any of their duck dishes are amazing AND the best priced duck I've had outside of Buford Highway (Oriental Pearl). I've only had one thing that was kind of iffy and it was some sort of fish in a sweet and tart brown sauce...I think it was fruit based. I would give them 4.5 stars for the funky fish dish but I'm rounding up because I've had a lot of 4 star Thai restaurants and this one is definitely better. I see there is at least one terrible review on here and after all the times I've eaten here i cannot imagine what happened there but every time I've been it has been great. Also, this place is great THAI food and nothing else. No Sushi bologna here...that's Japanese. I can't stand all of these places that try to combine unrelated Asian cuisine. If you want sushi, go to a Sushi bar...if you want Thai, REAL Thai, go here.

The family and I have dined here many times over the years and have always enjoyed it. My favorite is is the Pad Bai Ga Prow or Spicy Basil Chicken, which they have made with ground chicken at my request. But, I like their version of this dish as well. The wife and my oldest son really enjoy the Pad Thai. I've also enjoyed the Rama King and Curry dishes. The service is always excellent and the food is reasonably priced. It's great to have a restaurant of this quality in Conyers.

I have dined here several times over the years and tried some of the standard items like Pad Thai, Chicken Satay, Hot Pot Coconut Seafood Soup, etc. Most recently I tried some items on their special menu: the Half Duck in Green Curry Sauce and the Sea Bass in Garlic Sauce. I'm embarrassed to say that I have never tried duck of any sort before. I have heard other gourmets raving about duck, and I was afraid that it was going to be another of those overrated foodie fetishes. Boy, have I been missing out. With that said, the sauce could have been a little spicier. It take a little work to get the duck off the bone with a fork and knife, but at least that slows my eating frenzy down. The Sea bass was equally addictive. Not a politically correct fish eat, but the sauce had that perfect Asian flavor profile: Garlic, scallions, soy sauce, sesame oil. Probably(?) lots of MSG....I don't care, it was goooood!!! A side order of sauteed spinach is very substantial and tasty with a heavy dose of their wonderful garlic sauce. I really like the mellow decor in this place, but the booths were a bit uncomfortable for my scrawny body.

So, here's the thing..... Oh dear sweet jesus, i have never been so pumped for a little hole in the wall Thai dinner in my life and then so let down. Why'd you do me dirty Ba'an? I can give them a pass on the tacky decor as that's part of the authentic Thai experience, but what I cant give a pass is weirdly chewy greasy spring rolls, but the biggest problem came when my beloved Pad Sew Ew came to the table, the noodles weren't the standard Pad Sew Ew noodles(and I've got an obsession with those thick chewy noodles), the noodles and veggies were drizzled with sauce, not coated, and the tofu that was subbed for meat was the size of golf balls, and cooked in a weird way. There was just a whole lot of unforgivable sins for me at the is place. I suppose if you're from the area and you aren't expecting a whole lot, check it out......or maybe just pass on it all together.

I like food. I like Thai food. This is the best. Casual, quiet, unassuming. Very nice dinners. Easy good lunch. Excellent food, handle special requests well, charming owner/operator. It is located in a regular strip mall, but the food and service here would be at home in any top notch facility in any big city in the USA.

Those who think Tokyo is the best resturant in Conyers, I beg to differ. If you like Asian food and never had Thai food before and you ever so happen to live in the Conyers area, I recommend Baan Thai. The food here is cheap and affordable. They begin your meal with shrimp flavored chips that is crunchy and pops in your mouth with each bite you take. The Pad Thai brings about a bold explosion of flavors and textures. Thai Tea is delecious and probably one of my top favorite drinks. I highly recommend you try it. The Salad that comes along with the meal is pretty great and is most definitely 10 times BETTER than the "kids size" portion salad they give you at Tokyo. I don't know about you fellas, when a resturant offers you a choice of a side item...I would want it to be a rather decent amount....NOT the "five piece of lettece" salads they offer you at Tokyo. But other than the food, the people that work here are ridiculously friendly. They always have a smile on their face and you know you always feel welcome whenever you step foot inside Baan Thai. It's unfortunate that they always have very little customers, probably because of the poor location. But BECAUSE they have so little business, more than likely your face will be remembered next time you come back for a second trip. I do have to say though, the decoration of the resturant is in fact not very appealing. It's not terrible but it is rather tacky. But I guess the paper and cranyons they give you to draw on while you wait for your food makes up for the tackyness appeal. But other than that, the food is great and the staff is amazing. Please check this resturant out! :)
