Relax, enjoy it, take it all in. Yep, it's old school and we used to pay cash. Have stopped in a couple of times. Same clean cut friendly guy really hustling to keep the customer taken care of each visit. A "Big Burger" seems to be a signature item for them. It's sort of like maybe a "chuck wagon" sort of thing with slaw and chili. Went well with the crinkle cut fries and the catsup from the squeeze bottle. ( I genuinely enjoy canned catchup). The jalapeno poppers were cooked well and served hot. You can eat in the car or enjoy some natural air-conditioning at picnic tables in a very shady, well kept area. The place looks clean and the inspection score seemed to confirm that. Nice little road side stop from time to time.

100% of the appeal in this place is from the curb. The food is not very good at all. Had a hamburger and it was no better that what you get in a McDonald's drive through. Fries were not good at all, just soggy limp unappealing rewarmed frozen potatoes. If you want both the old time appeal and good food, just hit up the basket shack. This restaurant is no more than 1.3 miles from my house, and I will continue to drive past until I either move or die.

My family loves the old fashioned appeal of the Jiffy Freeze. The people are amazing and the picnic tables under the shade tree allow one to slow the pace down. My favorite - foot long hotdog.

Driven by here for years and finally worked out to stop on our way home from a day trip. We love finding mom and pop restaurants and loved our experience at Jiffy Freeze! Great, friendly service and our family of five ate for a little over $30! Family owned and run, which we love, as well. Will definitely stop here again!

OK... Maybe you had to grow up eating here and its an aquired taste. Very old school in that you walk up to the counter and place you order (or they come to your car) and then they bring it to your car. Great in theory, but the day we were there, on a Saturday, there were a number of cars in the lot, and apparently only one guy waiting on the entire group. Once we ordered it took what seemed like forever to get our food. And once we did, what a disappointment! We all ordered the special burger, with slaw, cheese and chili--which sounds good, but when you put it all together it makes for a pancake thin, soggy burger, with an off taste to the meat. Yuck. Fries were OK, but they only gave us one little pack of ketchup for our entire order of fries. I love local places and search them out where ever I am. Again, maybe its the tradition for some, but for us we won't be back. ALSO--NO restroom or trash cans!!?? Go before you get there I guess!! The high note of this trip was being able to toss the baseball with my two sons in the grass to the side while we waited.

Bread had a slimy consistency. Taste was decent but not worth the half hour wait. Had high expectations, I typically love a burger from an out of the way place like this. Was a bit let down. With a name like Jiffy Freeze one would expect milkshakes. Not the case, though they do have a machine to make them.

My family calls this place Wormys for some reason, an it's always a little strange whenever someone says "let's get a wormy burger." But the burgers and fries are invariably tasty and the curb service is old-fashioned and fun. There are also a couple of picnic tables outside for a summer day. This is one of Cantons's original restaurants before it turned into just another built up exurban hell, so try it out!

We call this the "corner place" even though its not really on the corner. My kids ask to come to the corner place for Ice Cream Friday, but I love their corn dogs and fries!
