This place is convenient and pretty good. I was pleasantly surprised at how many people were in this plaza eating and shopping. As a result the parking was a little difficult to find. The restaurant was clean and decorated decently. The hot and sour soup was very tasty. In fact everything was pretty good. Not mind blowing but definitely worth coming back to. I'm taking a half star for not making my dish extra extra extra spicy like I requested and a half star for the person behind the counter watching a Chinese TV station with people screaming SUPER loud. At first it was funny but it quickly became old. I will return

This restaurant is run by crooks. I have never ordered from them (delivery) and received what I was charged for. They will never tell you exactly what your charge is before you give them your credit card. Even when you ask them directly they say their "best guess" - but that is always about 6 or 7 dollars less than the charge on the receipt upon delivery. When you call to question they blatantly LIE and never accept responsibility . Tonight was the last night they steal from me. Hoping the new Thai restaurant on Riverstone starts delivery.

Horrible delivery service. I've ordered over 30 times with China Star, and the last 4 deliveries have ALL been wrong. When calling to have the issue corrected, it is very difficult to work with the staff. The last straw was after the fourth incorrect delivery we asked for a refund, and the store manager said it will be over an hour to have the issue resolved?? I'd highly recommend ordering from Rice instead if you're in Canton.

I've gone a couple of times by myself and family and I've always gotten take-out. It has been good everytime, sometimes a bit watery but it has always been good for me. At first I didn't know how much they gave per serving so I thought it was a bit expensive, two orders was about $20, but it fed 3 other family members and me well. It's not mind-blowing but it is a good meal to eat with family and depending on what you get, you get a side of rice or soup!

Just awful - Busy Friday night but no one was getting served. People getting up and wanting to leave - hadn't received some of their good -- couldn't even get the check brought over. Take out line was a disaster. Really poor management. Won't be coming back.

Favorite Chinese restaurant in Canton area. All the dishes are delicious and the staff treats you like family. Lunch prices are reasonable and service is fast.

Very disappointing visit. Previous visits had been good. Sizzling rice soup was no where near sizzling and not even hot. Taste was marginal at best. Curry chicken was no better. At least the dumplings were good. One waitress for entire floor. No offer to adjust bill or provide substitute meal. I made it clear to waitress how disappointed we were with the food.

Go here frequently and get things delivered as well. Love most of them and especially have a weakness for the lemon pepper chicken (ask for the olive oil lemon - goes great mixed with rice as well!!!) Ordered for the bad Rice v Air Force game and only good part for five people was the food after Air Force lost. Be warned some times they get slammed and mother and daughter and older uncle run this place alone so be patient, they actually put out good quality food here. It has gotten so good that I have three dogs that recognize the delivery car and don't bark (just get hyper!) at it as it comes up the long driveway!!!

I'm hoping that we just experienced the normal cooking recently. We decided to give them another shot and we were certainly pleasantly surprised, the food was seasoned appropriately, delivered quickly and had a much increased flavor profile. This last experience was a significant improvement over our first experience, but not enough to make me a fan yet. We will be watching China Starr in the coming months.

This restaurant has one of the friendliest staff in town! I love coming here and grabbing a quick and inexpensive meal to go. Good dine-in atmosphere too. They deliver! Always a consistent experience!

Went for dinner and I am blown away by how great everything was!! I had the beef noodle soup and it was delicious!! The staff is so friendly my 7year old son was kissing a server and saying that we need to go back as we walked out the door.

Excellent food. Customer service is horrible and we never pay the same price for the same food ever. They will charge you whatever they like. Add items you never ordered and my personal favorite, bring my wife shrimp lo mein when she ordered beef lo mein. My wife says this is not what I ordered. The waitress asks her, well can you eat it anyway?

Just finished eating at China Star. The hot n sour soup was very tasty. I actually tasted the "hot" versus the bite of sour. There were 3 of us. All 3 dishes were delicious. Will return. Oh the waitress had a wonderful personality.

Went for dinner and was disappointed. The wait for refills was ridiculous. They were paying attention to two separate tables of six people in the dining area and had no interest in watching us. Needless to say the service and the low quality ingredients when it came to the Hunan beef was highly disappointing. Will not be back and will not give it a second try.

The food was excellent, and the service is very friendly. We've been stuck on the Mongolian Beef and the Mandarin Chicken. Both are very good!

We love this Chinese restaurant. Everything is so fresh. The crab rangoon actually has crabmeat in it! The General Tso chicken is cooked perfectly. The house fried rice has lots of meat in it. This restaurant should be much busier than it is! The prices are very typical of most Chinese restaurants in town. The staff is very friendly and always accomodating of our kids...they bring them extra cookies or special chopsticks. We love it. Everything is always good. We have eaten in and ordered carry-out. They also deliver.

First impression was very clean and inviting. The menu is large with many choices. We had the kung pa chicken, orange peel chicken and sesame chicken for entrées. They were all excellent, our favorite was the sesame chicken. The meal also came with soup. The egg drop was excellent. Lastly we had egg rolls which were very good not grease at all. All in all a very good experience. Nice to find a good Chinese restaurant in Canton. We will be back.

After reading reviews I decided to try this place instead of my usual Chinese spot. Now I now what $35 of disappointment taste like. Lack of flavor from all the dishes we ordered and the Crab Rangoon's were filed with some weird jelly like substance instead of your typical cream cheese. Will never be back.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
