First time trying and had a wonderful dinner at Mimi's. Our meals were amazing and the service was perfect. Josh is a great server!!! Personable and attentive. Will definitely go again.

My boyfriend and I stopped In to try Mimi's Cafe on a Monday afternoon since we found a little extra time to spare before we needed to leave to catch our flight. I mean, how long does it take to order a sandwich? For Mimi's Cafe on this Monday afternoon, it took 5 minutes to be seated, 20 minutes for a drink order and once drinks were delivered, the actual waitress that was assigned to our table approached the table to let us know that she will take our order shortly. At least 5 minutes pass before our waitress, Melissa, SITS DOWN WITH US AT OUR BOOTH to take our order. She takes 2 seconds to communicate that she is sorry for the wait and and quickly asks us what we would like to order. In the meantime while waiting for our food our waitress is continuously yelling across the restaurant (she was clearly stressed) at one point she yelled "you have got to be kidding me!" which was directly in front of our table. My boyfriend and I counted 4 tables total that she was responsible for plus she had a trainee so maybe this was too much for this particular server. Apart from the bad service and time spent waiting, our food was delicious! My boyfriend ordered the club sandwich with fruit and a side Caesar salad. I ordered the bacon bbq cheddar burger with a side house salad and was VERY impressed! The burger was cooked perfectly and the side salad was the perfect portion. I'm not sure what kind of vinaigrette they had on the salad but it was amazing! We will be back to give it another try. Hopefully the environment will be more positive next time!

Really bad service plus this! I ordered muffins to go and all I got was burned inedible pieces (see picture). I will never go back.

Been here for breakfast twice and dinner once. Every trip had been pleasant with good food. Had the crepes and the mussels/seafood dish with a mimosa flight on my previous visits. This visit I had the smoked salmon eggs benedict with a side of roasted potatoes and strawberries and creme waffles. Can you say yummy?!

When we first walked in, there was no host/hostess, so we weren't sure if we were supposed to seat ourselves or not. About 4 minutes later, a server finally came and seated us. We decided to sit outside since it was nice and sunny. The service was pretty good after we were seated. The server brought our drinks out quickly and made some good recommendations. My mom got the Surf 'N Turf which comes with a steak, a seafood skewer, and fries. I got the steak and fries. The food good. Their house-made thyme-garlic butter made the steak much better. The only problem was my steak was a bit charred. Other than that, everything was good.

I love Mimi's. If you for breakfast make sure to try the waffles, French toast or eggs Benedict. If you get eggs at all get their hollandaise sauce! If you go for dinner their bread is on point! Every entree I've ever had there is delicious. You can't go wrong! Also, if you for breakfast get a Mimosa.

I have visited Mimi's about 3 times. Each time was no different. My plates were always dirty. First it was silverware, then the plate, then a bowl. You'd think they'd be able to get it together! Food isn't terrible, but it is definitely nothing to brag about. I don't plan on visiting this location again.

I love minis, I always have. The menu changes just enough to keep things interesting, I have my favorites but I am always willing to try new things. The service is good most all the time and Great a good bit of the time. Muffins are the bomb and you get a free one on your first visit.

Atmosphere is good, large brunch crowds etc, server, Jeff was attentive. The food was served piping hot-I had the quiche and he had the omelet. We'll be back!

Every time we come here we get excellent service. We often get breakfast. The omelets are the best. We had the bouillabaisse, Artichoke Frites and the Spinach And Grilled Salmon. Both were fantastic. We loved it all. Bf had the Bouillabaisse tasted like a vegetable stew with an ample amount of shrimp, clams, scallops and potatoes. My salad was perfect. The salmon was perfectly cooked. The dressing was a balsamic vinaigrette. It had a hint of sweetness to it. The Artichoke Frites was, well, fried! Anything friend is Awesome!

Nothing worse than having your breakfast served without condiments and toast. Had to ask twice for those items and finally got them with my meal half eaten. Third time I've eaten there and so-so service and food each time. I should have known better.

Went here thinking I was going to get a brunch meal, but that didn't quite happen as planned since I only got the lunch menu. I was super late meeting my friend, and I guessed he requested the regular menu? Unsure. But this place is definitely categorized as a brunch place... My friend had the Mimi's signature bouillabaisse. It was definitely recommended by him... I had a plain half sandwich & half salad deal since I wasn't super hungry: Le club with bleu cheese with accompanying walnut & strawberry salade. The salad was amazingly tasty! This deal also comes with a small thing of fruits (grapes, cantaloupes, honey dew). :) The service we received was great--attentive and friendly. Reading the recent reviews, I was leery about coming here since this was an early birthday brunch/lunch with a friend. Needless to say, I choose the place so I wasn't going to be blamed about picking a sucky location. :) To my surprise, this place was fairly large with a constant stream of people coming in and out. If you're trying to find this place, it's literally located around the perimeter of the Mall of Georgia. It's close to Long Horns so shoot for that restaurant. Your GPS will perhaps guide you on the main road, which is fine, but just make sure you take a left when you see the T.G.I. Friday if you're coming from 985 northbound. I totally missed this and had to drive further down before I could do a u-turn. -_- Overall, this is definitely a cozy place with pretty good food. I will certainly come back and eat a brunch meal I was planning on eating. Oh. Their food is somewhat Southern so it's not the healthiest (i.e. scrumptiously buttered garlic bread). Perhaps go walk around the mall afterwards and shop to burn those calories?! lol.

Unbelievable. Arrived at 10:30am and we asked if lunch is available. We were told it was. We were seated 15 minutes later which was fine but when we started to order the server had to check if lunch was available yet since "we were early". Turkey was out of stock when ordered. Fish and chips was not available because the fryer was down. Granted, server has been great so far and the food we ended up ordering is good. You just don't expect these problems from an establishment like this.

My salad was very small, my friend ordered an entire which came with a side salad that was about the same size as my main meal.... I am on. Low carbohydrate diet so I was expecting a larger salad... I ordered the caesar which lacked cheese and fresh lettuce. Very disappointing seeing as it was $8.99. Also the drinks were $3!!!!!!!! Our server was great but I don't know that the price was worth it. For those interested in health scores, they barely made a B at 80.

First, the restaurant was freezing cold. Then, I was sitting down in a hole in the booth. That booth needs to be replaced. Finally, no one came to wait on us so we left. This was surprising because it was a Thursday evening and the restaurant was not crowded. Very disappointing. We won't be back.

OK, so I have been here 3 times now. Twice for dinner and once for Brunch. Brunch was my first trip here. It was great. Service was good, and I found all of the food and the coffee to be more then adequate especially given the relatively low price. Our server Lance was quick, and coffee came frequently. I loved the Blueberry Muffin, the Tomato Bisque, and the Corned Beef Hash. We dined on their small terrace outside, it was nice. The next time I came for dinner. The bread basket was Carrot Cake (which is good) and a basic bread stick ala Olive Garden. We started with a seafood crepe. It was oily and unimpressive. The soups, Tomato Bisque and Corn Chowder were both very good. Particularly the Bisque. The entrees were the Muscles with Pasta, and the Bouillabaisse. The Bouillabaisse was $12.99. I should have known better, but I ordered it. It was horrible. Our Waitress Mary Kate, came by later and asked, and I gave her my honest answer. Of course I prefaced it with the fast that I did not expect much for $12.99. She sent a few muffins our way with the Bill to try and make it up. On the most recent dinner, Bead Basket was Carrot Cake, and Sour Dough (better then the generic Breakstick listed above). I had the Chicken Pot Pit, which was just OK. The flaky crust was great, but the rest was just alright. The Tomato Bisque this trip had a bit of a cheesy taste which I did not appreciate. I had a strawberry lemonade with the meal and it was OK, and refills came often. They have some basic French D'OC white and red bottles for $22-25, which I think is kind of cool. Maybe the French Pinot could be OK? That said, I don't know if I will rush back here for dinner. Breakfast is awesome though. The other Yelp reviews are right on. 5 stars for breakfast (in large part based on value), and 2 stars for dinner.

Second time here and definitely disappointed. First time was for brunch and cheese and fruit and mimosa as great. Unfortunately this time I ordered food and it was terrible. My daughter got the famous chicken pot pie that we couldn't even eat one bite, tasted like 3 days old chicken and nasty greedy stock. I got the Mediterranean salad that looked good but had 2 drops of dressing so I asked for more and it was tasteless. We sat outside on very weathered furniture with every table wobbly beyond repair. The bathrooms were nasty! This is the last time here. Our server was nice though

Twice we have had a bad experience with this cafe! It was awesome but in the last two visits it was just crappie service and bad management. No quality are customer appreciation. It's another lost customer.

We go to Mimis when we want good wholesome food. The staff is courteous, and friendly, the service is very good and the food has always been superb. Its not a fancy place not are the prices. We go often and recommend Mimis to all

The food here was terrible. It was so bland. The muffins, however were delicious. This place definitely caters more to the senior citizen crowd and looks very similar to an assisted living home I once worked at. It's definitely not the most ideal place for brunch for younger people. The service was great though.

Party of 2 around 9am on Sunday 2/1/15. The service was excellent but the food was mediocre at best. I had the corned beef hash benedict. Since this is a brekfast place I expected everything to b homemade but the corned beef hash definitely tasted like it came out of a can and the hollandaise sauce was very bland with no flavor. I always get the eggs benedict at Perkins and the quality there is way better than what I experienced here. It is not worth the money spent. Perkins or Denny's would be a better choice. Definitely wont be back

Food was okay, taste - wise anyway. What was less than appetizing was the sheet of wax paper wrapping our crepes. I'm imagining this is typically removed off of their "house-made" crepes, but this quality control step seems to have been skipped for our order. This could have been made up for by half decent service however both the server and the manager kept explaining the process of keeping crepes separate rather than acknowledging the kitchen should have removed it. The replacement showed up just in time to greet everyone else in the party's empty plates. 2.5 meh's

Best breakfast joint in Buford Georgia and top 3 in Gwinnett county. They server breakfast everyday until noon and 3pm on the weekends. The environment has a chill New Orleans vibe and the staff is ALWAYS pleasant. My wife and I go here on a regular basis. Try it for sure

I never knew carrot cake with butter could be so good until I went here to eat. The place is in desperate need of renovation. It smells musty and wet. The food is good for its price. I prefer to come during brunch and try their crepes and waffles. I would call ahead for brunch as there is ways a a long wait on weekends.

I went there for brunch today and had the worst customer experience ever. The bartender and hostess were extremely rude to the 4 people I was with and myself. We were told we'de have a 35 min wait to be seated; however 45 mins later we were told it would be another 35 mins. We were also told this was due to "the kitchen being backed up". Excuse me, but when you have been open for business for a few years now, & have always served brunch, how are you not prepared for the Sunday crowd? We ended up leaving...for good! This place was a disgrace.

  • Shawn I.

One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had, considering that we did not even get to take our seats. Its understandable when a restaurant is busy but when you say the wait is 45 minutes, i expect that number to be fairly accurate. We waited for about an hour and went up to see where they were with our seating, the receptionist says they are trying to figure out how to seat the 5 of us, WTF!! How does a restaurant like Mimis Cafe not be able to accommodate 5 people? Then she says the wait can be an additional hour since their kitchen is backed up. Let me add on top of that how rude these people who work there are. Anyways, I'll stop there. This will be the last time you find me in that restaurant.

I love sweet tea to the point where everyone calls me "sweet tea" as my nickname (hence the name). So when I came here and ordered my usual drink, I was very very disappointed. It was absolutely disgusting. I had to call the waitress (which was hard to do, since I never saw her) to order a sprite. It's not like drinks are that cheap either.. Anyway, the food is okay. Nothing special at all. Not good enough to bring me back a second time. The presentation of the food was nice, but what's the point if it didn't taste good? I had some chicken pasta and my friend had the chicken pot pie. Another thing that really disgusted me was that it was SO dusty. Do these people not clean the back tables where they sat us?? The table was dusty, the napkins were dusty. I did not want to eat there at all, but sucked it up (and probably some of the dust too while at it). I won't go back.

Yesterday my date and I was at Mimi's Cafe after shopping at the mall for a late lunch. We had the 3 course meal for $9.99 each. My soup was a delicious Vegetable soup while he had the Cafe Corn Chowder soup. For our entree, I had a hearty Grilled Shrimp Salad. It had 2 long skewers of grilled shrimps, romaine lettuce, bleu cheese, tomatoes and roasted walnuts tossed in a light balsamic vinaigrette dressing. It was delicious! My date had the Crispy Parmesan Chicken with spinach and mash potatoes on the side. He enjoyed it very much. Please see the pictures I posted for you to make you hungry. Ha-ha. Our dessert was the Vanilla Ice Cream with flowing dark chocolate and some whip cream on the top. He had his own ice cream just like mine. We had iced cold Lemonade that was freshly juiced, not the Country Lemonade kind. Our waitress checked on us twice and was friendly at the table. Cheerful smiles from the waitress are so nice after a tiring day. Why not the 5 stars then, some of you would ask? Well, even though it was not too crowded after the peak lunch hour, the floor had drinking straw paper left by the previous customer at another seating booth. There were also used napkins that fell on the floor. The floor carpet was red and so the white trash stood out even though I try to look at the walls and other decor stuff in the dining room. The New Orleans Jazz theme was very pretty and made the place warm and cozy. The overall dining experience was very pleasant and I will come back here, for sure. Perhaps I will see you there too with your big smiles :) # 22/365

I've been eating at Mimi's for over 5 years now. Never wrote a review. Now's a good time. Mimi's is a real treat. Lots of good things on the menu here. They have always had good service and really good food. Lately I have ordered good eats like chicken fried steak and fried pickles. Oh, yeah. Also a pleasure to bring the J/J Burger Tour here on December 16 after seeing 'The Hobbit'. A really great burger is here called the French Quarter Burger. See that picture. It has avacado, bacon, swiss cheese, 1000 island lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles, and served on grilled garlic sourdough. Oh my............... Good pictures for ya. Dig 'em.

We stopped in to try this cafe (which doesn't really look like a cafe from inside or out) on our way to training. We were pressed for time. Our waiter was awesome. He had us in and out in less than 30 minutes and was very attentive to our time crunch. We split a salad and a chicken pot pie which was plenty of food for my wife and me. Both were very good and our waiter even split them onto separate plates for us without asking. As I said, this place seems too big and fancy to be a "cafe" but what do I know... I'm just a guy. Regardless, I liked it and will return to check out the rest of the menu whenever we're in the area again.

My wife and visited for the first time at lunch. Decor was nice and service was good despite hostess seating 4 tables on the same waitress at the same time. Food however was marginal to poor. My wife sent her omelette back as it was runny and undercooked. I ate my waffles but they were so overlooked that they were hard and crunchy all the way through.

I haven't been to Mimi's in quite some time since last time my food came out cold and not all together. My mom wanted to go today and since we let her pick because it was her birthday I went along. Well in six months nice I have been nothing has changed except for everyone's meals were cold and last time it was just mine. We waited over 20 minutes for our order to come out and saw many tables seated after us get their food before us. The waitress came by and told us twice the manager would be by before she did show up. She said there were several other tables who had similar issues and they were having issues in the kitchen. We got half off our total, but I rather have a timely, hot meal. I would suggest going elsewhere unless you have time to waste and willing to test your luck on getting a hot meal or a cold one.

Had the fish and fries. Noticed the coleslaw had some red liquid on one side. I asked what it was and was told "don't know what it is but it should not be in the slaw"then was asked if I would like some more. I don't know about you but I don't believe I care for any more of any of it. Fish or slaw or anything else with mystery ingredients /blood or whatever it was. Will not go back.

Excellent. One of my favorite restaurants in Buford. The breakfast and lunch menus are great. The quiche Lorraine for breakfast is a must. For lunch, you'll never eat a grilled cheese sandwich better than the one at Mimi's. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is great.

I would rate this place a 2.5 out of 5. I've been to Mimi's before but wasn't a huge fan. Again, it is *not* bad, just that I've had better. Before, I went there a few years ago because my daughter had a free meal. They messed up my meal and thought I ordered something else. Because a girlfriend wanted to have her birthday get togethere here (same location as last time), I went. I ordered the small plate of pork quesadillas. It was okay. Didn't like the coleslaw. I took it home and the family disliked it as well. Hubby thought the coleslaw smelled like trash. The waitors were really friendly and catered to our needs. The other girls really liked their meals. Maybe I'm just harder to please?

Seated at our table and then waited almost 20 min for our drink order to be taken. Beverages delivered 10 min after that by another server. No offer made to take our order. Then we watched as 1, 2, 3, 4 people who came in after us were seated. And had their orders taken. And had their beverages. About that time we were ready to awl out and our server appeared, offered a very hurried "sorry for the delay" and took our order. Meanwhile, our water glasses were empty, still no food, another table got tired of waiting and left--and 2 of the 4 tables seated after us had food. The manager came to our table and offered an apology lasting less than 10 seconds--very cursory and gave the impression that he didn't really care. As one of the tables seated after us completed their meal and received their check, our food came. We will not return.

Bad experience today. Bacon cheese fries were limp without much bacon or cheese. My medium well burger looked more like medium rare. I asked them to hold the Thousand Island and yes, the raw burger came out with Thousand Island. Just underwhelmed and disappointed by the whole experience.

The menu was a fraction of what it used to be.Our favorite the pot roast was gone.We had our salads and 45 minute's later some of the food came out cold!! They had also ran out our favorite bread???? I used to love this place and even recommended it for a group function .No more!!!

We used to love eating here. Not now. this morning we got here half the restaurant was subfreezing the other half was almost tropically hot. The Wi-Fi was not working. Let me have changed with a list of 15% markup and price but a much lower expectation of food selection and food quality. The overall atmosphere was definitely lowbrow now. The new owners have ruined what was a great restaurant. I'm not coming back and I recommend you not come back. This place feels like a tourist restaurant with the low quality of food service and selection.

We have been going to Mimi's for brunch for over a year now, but the service seems to increasingly get worse each time. Not the wait staff, they are always prompt and helpful, but the host/hostess are terrible. We use their call ahead seating and more often then not, we get there and they don't have us on the list. The host "joked" last Sunday that he remembered us calling, but must have "forgotten" to write it down. Completely unacceptable... The manager seems to only go to the table that look happy to ask how their meal is going. We like the food, but will not be going back any time soon as they host/hostess seem to not care how long you wait.

Sigh... I was excited about trying this place. I just KNEW it was going to be good. Maybe only their breakfast items are. We went early afternoon and decided to try regular food items instead of breakfast. The items were very.... diner like in taste. Not good, not awful, not flavorful, not super duper bland. I am very disappointed!

My wife and I met old friends at this lovely establishment. We each had an omelette for Sunday brunch. They were delicious, very fresh & wonderful. Each came with a muffin that seemed to be baked on site. The muffins were very sweet and delicious. I would say overall this is an excellent place to eat especially for the very reasonable price.

My daughter treated us to lunch 2 months ago. We decided to have breakfast this morning. I loved the quiche. My daughter had Mimis original Pain Perdu. My husband had original French toast. They both made theirs a Le Grande. Can't wait to go back. Nice size portions

Hot Then Cold....we had breakfast for the first time two weeks ago. Crab cake breakfast was EXCELLENT! Returned today..crab was mushy, eggs cooked well done...completely opposite from our first visit. I sure hope consistency improves. Saturday afternoon...sick as a Democrat watching Mitney announce Ryan. Nothing else to eat since the breakfast crab entree. I now suspect the quality of the meal went south..as in and out exceptionally quick. Please Culinary Gods...let the consistency improve!

I keep wanting to like Mimi's but they just keep letting me down. The food isn't bad, its just not good. They take a lot of short cuts - for instance, the beef for the beef pot roast and the boeuf bourguignon is the same beef - they cook it ahead and just add whichever gravy or sauce and sides are called for. VERY disappointing - the beef has to be braised in the sauce to impart the flavor! Lots of stuff like that - this would get 1 star, but they make excellent breads and muffins and the coffees are great - if you're just going for those its worth a trip, but for a meal- NO!

For the sake of brevity, I will limit this to 3 instances. My wife has a friend that until today, (for some inexplicable reason), Mimi's was her favorite restaurant.. Although I will say they do make a respectable blueberry muffin. So every time she met someone out (which was about 3-4 times a year for my wife), Mimi's was the place. My wife enjoyed a couple of visits there, so we had a late (not real busy) lunch after shopping. In order, here are the un-exaggerated 3: 1: My usual first test (as an old cook) for a new place is something very simple. French toast and fried eggs. If you can't cook this most basic food, I'm not shelling out $14 to find out otherwise. The french toast was very gooey in the center (caused not by what the inexperienced cook would guess, more time on the heat, but simply from leaving it in the egg mixture for too long). The center 3 inches, easily 50% of the dish, was uneatable...squishy. And the eggs, ordered over medium were cooked on the same WAY-TOO-HOT grill as the toast so that a great deal of the egg whites were like bubbly plastic...the edible parts of both items had to be cut with a knife. After eating my 10 bites of food, I sat there and talked to my wife while she finished her meal. Our waitress came to pic up the plates, and cheerfully asked if everything was alright. I told her that her service was fine, but if there was a manager or owner available to come by to pick up our ticket. He didn't introduce himself, but a clearly annoyed white guy with badly cut dark hair came to the table. I asked him: "So, you feel good about serving food prepared like this?", as I squished the uneaten portion of my french toast. "That's the way we cook it here" he replied. I told him the dish was so soggy that they could have omitted cooking it at all. Then I pointed to the badly overcooked eggs, "So how about the eggs?", as I sawed at them with the fork, making the plate squeak. He says "Well, I see you didn't mind eating the part of the dish you did." I replied that the rest wasn't good, only possible to consume. Then the deal breaker for me. "If you didn't want your french toast soggy, you should have ordered it well done." He actually told me it was MY FAULT. I said "Nobody expects to get gooey french toast. That's why you put syrup on it." He told me I was wrong and picked up my ticket and credit card and turned to thee waitress who scurried off to the register. I tipped the (now obviously uncomfortable) waitress giving me the processed check. That finished it for me. Wouldn't go back on a dare. 2. A month later my wife came back with a doggy bag from there. It was the lower 1/3 of a badly burned "slow cooked" meat loaf. I asked her if she said anything, and she told me she sliced the top layer off and ate it (she avoids confrontation). The waitress came by to refill their drinks, and asked if everything was OK. My wife tapped the charred bottom of the meatloaf, The waitress asked if she wanted it replaced. My wife asked he if it would come from the same batch, to which she was replied to in the affirmative. She declined, and brought it home for the dog, who promptly REFUSED IT. This is the same dog who eats her own vomit. 3. Today, my wife and her friend reached their limit. Chicken salad. Not a hard dish to prepare. But the chicken was obviously left over from something else (or different day). Overcooked. Waaayyyy dried out, over-sized chunks of chicken, served on a (surprisingly good) croissant.. The state of the chicken could have compensated for by cutting the chicken into smaller pieces and adding more salad dressing, But someone would have had to taste it to realize that. Just shove overpriced crap into the dining room and count your receipts at the end of the day. Lousy, overpriced food with bad customer service. Mimi's. So, where ya wanna go eat. And an ever growing chorus of voices reply: "Anywhere but MIMI'S!!!!!"

Mimi's is a small chain searching for definition. It has a nice melange of bistro suitable cuisines (french, italian, and american); all of which are acceptable, but would benefit from focusing more specifically on one. In my opinion, that would be french. We have enough chains focusing on american and italian cuisines. What we need is approachable french or country french. This could be done by doubling the number of french selections, and still keeping some burgers and pasta for stodgy eaters. Also, please add a nice rustic dish like Coq Au Vin ... Americans can get behind a tasty chicken casserole. A strong delivery is Mimi's muffins. The are fantastic, both the regular flavors and the seasonal. Addition to the bakery line of brioche, croissant, and baguettes, would be phenomenal. Maybe a nice farmhouse white, as well. All that being said, our last visit was lovely, Saturday morning brunch. We had eggs benedict florintine ... delicious but small portions; asparagus and brie quiche ... good, I assume, it disappeared off my wife's plate so fast, I didn't get a taste. French toast made from brioche slices (no whole brioche available), fried potatoes, muffins (try the buttermilk spice ... tres yum), and mimosas ... filled us up completely. They serve coffee ... but that product needs kicking up several notches. Give us a decent french roast, a caffe francais, or caffe americain ... give us real cream and sugar. Desserts? None worth mentioning. Give us some french pastries or confections. And a decent cup of coffee. Wait staff are friendly, quick, and attentive. If you want to be extremely well treated, ask for a young man named Skylar. A very good chain restaurant ... which could become great.

Update, due to our ever worthless dollar the 12.99 is now 13.99, but remember folks there is absolutely no inflation;-) Anyway our meal was good for chain food, again this is not an independent nor is it a Zagat 4star establishment. Had my normal speg a tinni thingy. Enjoyed it! Wife had the fravi oly thingy, she enjoyed it. What I do not enjoy is when a group of 20 something wait staff run in and out the door beside our booth smoking! Sorry, stench carries right back in the restaurant.

This was a bad experience all around. The food was luke warm at best and the menu has little to offer. Apparently it has been bought out and totally changed the menu that is listed on this site. My friend did not get her food when the other two of us did, when they finally brought it out it was WRONG!! Never again. To add a little the manager offered us a free desert instead of just taking the 1/8th consumed food off the tab.

Food was bland and tasteless glop. Chopped Steak was almost mush and had no flavor at all. Salt is the only thing that made it taste like anything other than liquid cardboard. Chicken Madeira Crepes tasted almost rancid. It was so bad that DW didn't eat them. We both felt a little ill after leaving. Service was sub par. Waiter brought soup before appetizer and kept pouring hot sweet tea into our glasses in which all the ice had melted. We asked for ice but he kept "forgetting". We tried this place once a few years ago and thought it was mediocre and gave it another shot. Will NOT be returning.

We stopped here for dinner and had nice meals with portions that are too generous for us. The liver and onions was very good (and becoming hard to find in restaurants) and the fish and chips was just good - fish don't come out of the water with a cookie cutter size and shape. It was good, but not the best. The mini desserts were great. I loved the bread pudding. On the down side, they are apparently updating their menus and my wife and I got menus that were significantly different. I told her about some things I thought she would like, but they were not on her menu. And the same thing happened when she told me about something. The server blew it off saying they get several complaints a day about the different menus. And we were seated at a table right outside the doorway to the kitchen, which was very noisy. I'll know better next time.

The oat bran muffin included with the omelets is freakin' awesome. All that sugar and fat means it's loaded with tasty goodness. It made me proud to be alive! Seriously, this thing was like a cake. No matter, I ate it up like I've never eaten food before. Be careful-- it comes before the rest of the meal so don't get full. I had the BLT omelet which rocked. The lunch meals are also very good. Be prepared for a long wait if you come midday on a Sunday.

Really delicious! They have the best muffins anywehre - always fresh! Salads are fantastic! Entrees are generously portioned. Friendly staff, clean restaurant. A little bit pricy compared to places around, and their specials aren't quite as good, but if you're in the mood to splurge just a little or for amazing muffins with your food, then this is the place!

I've been here twice now, and both times the food was amazing! I love the atmosphere: it is very pretty, French cafe style, and quiet. The Mango Mojito is delicious! I loved the roasted chicken crepes.

Oh how I love fresh croissants! The banana nut and blueberry muffins are good. I enjoyed the bacon, egg, and avocado croissant. The breakfast also came with juice, hashbrowns, and choice of muffin. I sometimes opt for tthe croissant instead of the muffin. Either way, the helpings are plentiful and I usually walk away with a togo box or food left on my plate. I've eaten here for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. The wait can be long, especially on a Sunday, and around the holidays. This a popular spot for the after church crowd and there are usually lots of famlies here.

After coming on and off for a few years the best way we can sum it up is...absolutely horrible service. The only good part of our experience the last (literally) visit was the crab cake appetizer; the menu as a whole is of the "inspired by" variety so don't expect the same rich flavors of authentic fare. If you go and get good service, which I doubt, give it a shot - otherwise, find a different spot.

It's been a while since I've eaten at a brunch place for 2 under $20. I don't know why brunch food has gotten so expensive over the years but when I got the tab at Mimi's Cafe, I was pleasantly surprised. Their orange juice is freshly squeezed and their menu has a lot of options for eggs benedict, which i love. I ordered the ham and eggs benedict on cressant. They gave abundant 3 layers of ham but it was kinda salty for my taste. My friend ordered the cinnamon french toast but it turned out to be egged cinnamon bun so it was overly sweet. Wish it gave this detail on the menu. Service was great and the interior decor was nice. I'd say it's the most bang for the bucks for brunch food these days and it's close to home so i will visit again. But i wouldn't crave the taste of it any time soon as it wasn't particularly tasty over some of the other brunch joints in town. But i will give it 4 stars due to decent price and good service.

Please tell me how a faux French restaurant can run out of crepes, and not know until everyone else at the table received their dinner? That's like McDonalds running out of burgers.

Let me be clear. I'm a fan of their breakfasts. I haven't found other meals here to be quite as good. I would give everything else 3-stars probably. Their breakfasts? Good. They have enough selection so everyone can probably find something they like to eat. I do like their corn beef hash and eggs breakfast and get it probably the most frequently. I have only had one or maybe two breakfasts here that I would consider to be cooked without care. Extra greasy on the potatos or with the corn beef hash. I just chalk it up to being a different/new cook or what have you. The staff is generally attentive and service is usually quick. You can generally expect a wait for breakfast on the weekends, especially later on Sunday mornings. I also like their Bloody Mary's on a Sat. AM or a Sun. afternoon (starting at Noon). The Absolut Peppar gives them a nice little kick. ;-) If you want to try something other than Cracker Barrel (still hard to beat) or the local IHOP, drop into Mimi's here at the mall and give them a spin. It's at least another option.

My wife and I tried Mimi's for the first time looking for somewhere different. We were both impressed by the variety of the menu. We both took advantage of the 13.99 three course meal. The service was amazingly fast too. The food was excellent. Overall it was too much and next time I'll take the dessert home! I will definitively be coming back.

Like this place for a chain restaurant, since it has a little different decor and menu. The deserts are very good, and it is nice to have options beyond the normal fare seen at most chain restaurants (e.g. turkey and dressing with cranberry). I like to eat it on days other than Thanksgiving once in awhile :) Salads are decent as well. Good place to take picky eaters since there is a wide selection from the menu. They bring out a very tasty nut bread with spice as well as a regular roll and maybe another type that I do not recall. All included with the meal. Quite tasty.

Terrible service.. I'm a regular restaurant goer of the area, in fact when I'm home I eat out every day. I have never been a fan of Mimi's as I've been to others in different cities, but since I was wanting a good breakfast and didn't feel like driving 15 minutes I decided to give it a chance. I could tell there would be a slight wait since there were quite a few cars, that didn't bother me since it was a Sunday morning. I asked to sit outside since there were plenty of empty tables, and after 15-20 minutes of the host going back and forth asking if I would sit at the bar and me saying no, finally sat me at a table. Once I was sat I waited, and waited, and waited.. Nobody ever came to even take my drink order. Most restaurants if busy will always have someone immediately take a drink order at the very least. I asked a couple that was also sitting outside when the last time someone checked on them and they said it had been awhile. After 10 minutes exactly without any single person acknowledging I was at the table, I up and left. This is terrible service in my opinion, as someone who dines out about 30+ times a month I expect better from a place of this caliber.

Mimi's is another one of my favorite early evening dinner spots. My wife & I have eaten there a few times, but mostly I enjoy introducing new people to the bistro. Of the three room 'areas' my favorite is the far-left outside-on-the-inside room. With the high ceilings and New Orleans Jazz district theme, you kinda feel like your in the French Quarter. We usually get the 3-course meal, choose the entree with soup, and then add a full-size entree salad to split. I love their French onion soup, sweet potato ravioli, and bread pudding. Add a cobb salad and you're set. It's almost too much food to eat, and when they bring out free baskets of bread or extra muffins you'll feel like it's a real value.

First off, Mimi's is a carbaholic's fantasy. We were greeted with a basket containing fresh rolls, banana bread and some other sweet, delicious bread. My friend insisted I must try the fried pickles which I still think are gross but they did look like they were done well for being fried pickles. I did really like the coleslaw, kind of sweet and peppery. The burger was very juicy and tasty. Something so nice about a burger that can be delicious without a lot of toppings. I was really glad I wasn't sitting closer to the kitchen so that I avoided the jambalaya bath when there was a big collision.

I like that this menu was different than the typical...I just thought what I ordered was bland though. BLT Avocado egg omelet - "hold the avocado please". It laid in a bed of spinach and had 2 slices of tomatoes on top with melted jack cheese. It was as tasteless as it gets. The omelets come with seasoned potatoes which are very good, and a big warm muffin. Oh...and a cup of juice. So this place gets 3 stars for my meal but add an extra star for the menu and our service. I was being adventurous and wanted to try something different...I should've went with my "gut" instincts and ordered the pumpkin pancakes topped with caramel and baked apples but I was feeling healthy that morning (silly me). Our server was the best! He had refills before asking, take home boxes without request, and our check when he knew we were finished. He even brought us sodas in a to-go cup without us asking for them. I'll definitely head back here for another try but for something more my style. Oh...and call ahead...We only waited 5 minutes despite the 45 minute wait.

Wow this place is great! Dinner menu of Just Enough is really too much for me but I love it. I had the Asparagus Spegehettini w/a salad and cream puffs oh la la. Very wide selection of food something for everyone! The bread basket is the best ever!

Went to this location for lunch. It was my first time trying Mimi's. We did not receive the basket of bread that everyone else is talking about. Oh well. The server seemed like he was about to get off shift so little eye contact was made and meal was rushed. Had the Jambalaya and the chicken panini. Both were ok. The chicken noodle soup was canned I believe. The cheese/spinach dip for appetizer was bland. Hate to complain but I was hoping for better. Yes, to me, another place to eat...maybe try the breakfast next time.

Consistently great food. This restaurant has been the place of choice for my family brunches for over a year and there are many reasons why. The fare is delicious with a great mix of lighter options and full scale decadent meals. Dont try the carrot raisin muffin unless you are ready to get addicted. I have had 10+ different meals here and not a bad choice in the bunch.

I see most love this place for breakfast, but I have only been for lunch and love it! Today was the 2nd time I've been here. We started with the spinach dip which is served with garlic toast and is totally unbelievable! It's more like spinach with swiss/parmesan cheese; not at all drippy or runny. For my entree I had the Grilled Veggie on Ciabatta. Just wonderful! It was loaded with zucchini, mushrooms, red peppers and onions with a balsamic sauce. Beware, the ciabatta sandwiches are HUGE and can totally be shared by 2. I brought 1/2 home for my dinner tonight. The flavor was exquisite and I will go back for more! It's quite obvious during a visit at Mimi's, that the muffins are top dog here! I saw more muffins being distributed even at noon on this Thursday. Must be a real hit for the regulars so I'd say if you are looking for a tasty muffin, be it blueberry or other flavors, this would be the place to go.

Guess what led me to Mimi's? That's right, young people, a KOOPON! A koopon (especially a BOGO) is generally guaranteed to get me toddling to most restaurants within a 10 mile radius of my home, because I've only burnt one gallon of gas if the food craters. Mimi's offered a BOGO lunch, and wife and I have liked the Mimi's at Perimeter Center for breakfast, so why not go on a gustatory safari? Sum: my chicken pasta was average, wife really liked her meatloaf, the accompanying salad was decent, but, like any Mimi's, the muffins are the thing! I'd go back with another BOGO, but if I'm going to endure the MOGa traffic otherwise, I'll go to Rico's World Cafe instead.

I have seen a bunch of cars in the parking lot, and figured they MUST be good. I read some of the reviews and thought....Why not!?! People rave about the muffins/ bread basket. I thought it was fair, but nothing I would RAVE about. I had a burger, he ordered pasta. Both were fair. I might go back, but would not crave it.

Friday night. Night before New Year's Eve. Pretty packed. Got us in within the 10 minute approx. wait window (BONUS STAR!). We were in a hurry to go shopping... Nice gentleman waiter took our complete order up front without a quibble. Bread (rolls plus, mmm, carrot and spice quickbreads) and my companion's soda came out quickly followed by my cappuccino (yum!). My Artichoke Asiago Chicken Spaghettini (is that a real word?) consisted of a super-crunchy, right-sized breaded chicken breast atop a bed of ... uhhh... spaghettini (what is that, fat spaghetti?) which was tossed in a tomato alfredo sorta sauce with spinach, artichokes, and tomato bits in it. I was impressed by the quality of my food and happy they didn't try to give me WAY TOO MUCH FOOD like other restaurants. The nice gentleman waiter provided a to-go cup for my cappuccino and a super-zippy checkout, so all in all, he deserved his 20% tip. All in all, Mimi's kicked butt on the service, and the food outshined the neighboring Macaroni Grill.

Very dishonest restaurant! I signed up for Mimi's Email Club, for which they send you special offers, coupons, etc. They sent me a coupon for a free lunch. So, I took my wife there, and we both ordered lunch. When the waitress brought me the bill, I gave her my coupon. After a couple of minutes, the manager comes back and tells me because we ordered the Express Lunch, the coupon was not valid. NOWHERE on the coupon did it state there was an exclusion for the Express Lunch. The waitress then comes back and hands me this line "If you would have told me you had a coupon, I could have made it work for you." She then gives us a box of their stale to-go muffins as a consolation prize. I ended up dropping $25 bucks on very mediocre food. Needless to say, I will not be dining there again!!

I went for brunch and it was cheap and good. I got the eggs Florentine and my fiance got the stuffed french toast we subbed wheat bread for the white. We didn't get any free bread, but they gave us both juice for free. So that was cool. We liked both of our dishes. It was actually the best french toast I have had at a restaurant in GA. I am super picky about french toast. It was fast and cheap, we both ate for less than 15.

I have been there s couple of times and I think I have learned my lesson I will not be back. The service is awful and this last time I went my son got the ribs and first there was a hair in it and the brought him out more didn't apologize for it and the tasted like what dog food smell likes. Be glad I gave 1star.

Well, we decided to try Mimi's Cafe for a second time and it did not disappoint. Yay! The last time we were at Mimi's, there were so many things on the menu that we wanted to try that we had to go back. I'm glad we did. I got the turkey and dressing, veggies, and mashed potatoes w. gravy and cranberry sauce. Yummy! It felt like the holidays. Everything was so good and there was more than enough food on the plate. An overabundance of turkey and dressing. The cranberry sauce was my favorite - it was a great accent to my turkey and dressing. Some bites of the cranberry sauce taste like orange, then cherry, then cranberry. Mouth orgasm! My fiance had the checken cordon bleu and the presentation was a bit underwhelming, but he had nothing but great things to say about it. The pork dumplings for the appetizer - OMG! I've never liked dumplings but they were SOO delicious. We got dessert too, even though we were stuffed. The brownie, the apple crisp, and the bread pudding. YUM! A great dessert! Heaven in every bite!

I know choices of good places to eat are limited OTP, but Mimi's is pitiful. The free bread served as an appetizer was still frozen in the middle when it was served. The two entree's that we purchased, were greasy, unappetizing and to be honest not very tasty. There seems to be a lot of emphasis on adding more ways to include high fat oil and butter instead of trying to make a delicious meal. I would not recommend.
