SHADY!!!!! Charged my credit card twice, 2 separate amounts (added a tip) 3 days later than the original purchase. Trying to blame it on my bank, but I've never had this happen with my bank the 30 years I've had a credit card. Probably scammed several people who didn't check their accounts. Then when talking to the lady and trying to resolve, never received an apology. Poor customer service!

I'm past due for posting a review of Athena's. Unless we make it from scratch and cook it in our own kitchen, we literally do not eat pizza anywhere else. The pizza is not always consistent, but that's because it's not a big chain, but it's always good, with fresh ingredients, or at least it seems to be. The Greek salads with gyro meat are awesome, and the cheeseburgers are even better than that. In fact, they have the best burgers in the buford/Flowery Branch area. Yes, cheeseburgers at the pizza place. They are awesome. I'm dissapointed to see some of the recent negative reviews and hope any issues have been corrected, because a good place like this is hard to find. Don't plan to "dine in", because this is delivery and carry-out only.

Surprisingly good pizza. Very friendly staff. This place stays super busy, it's the only place to eat around here. We had a large gathering around here for July 4th and ended up all coming to eat here. Five large pizzas. Well priced. Tasted really good for a place in the middle of nowhere. I would come back here if I was in the area.

Absolutely disgusting place to eat! I can't believe they are in business. If the health department walked in there they would immediately shut this place down. The first time we ate there, we ordered delivery. The messed up our pizza, it was cold and one of the pasta dishes that I ordered I couldn't even stomach it. The 2nd time we ordered (because there is NOTHING else in that area) we ordered carry out. When we got there to pick it up, the inside of that place was HORRIBLE. Bugs and roaches everywhere! My stomach turns now every time we pass Athena's pizza. DO NOT EAT THERE!

This used to be a favorite of ours until my Husband went to pick up our dinner and saw roaches scramble across the area where they cut the pizzas. He saw that the employee saw them, too, and did nothing about it. She pretended not to see them. Disgusting! We will never be back.

This place was good 2 years ago and now it's horrible!!! Discusting fries, no taste to chicken tenders, always messing up orders, extremely greasy... staff not very friendly... WAY OVERPRICED! I was a regular here 2 years ago.... I won't go there now. .

Ordered a Mediterranean pizza for carry out. Cost was $20 for a medium. There was no feta cheese and the olives were sliced black NOT kalamata. Very disappointed!

Delicious gyro! Can't wait to come back and try more of their menu! This came as a personal recommendation and I'm so glad I tried it! It's not much to look at and there is no room to eat at the store, but the quality of the food and ingredients is top notch. They make all their dressings and sauces in house. They use bread from a Philadelphia baker for their Philly cheese steaks. If you are hungry and in the area, this is the place to try!

I recently grabbed a pizza from this joint and despite some of the glowing results below I found it to be one of the worst pizzas I've found in the area. I found the pizza to be lacking in flavor from the toppings to the sauce to the crust. Also, to call the place a hole in the wall is giving it too much credit. Just not a good experience for me. I won't be returning.

The most amazing CAL-ZONE I have ever had! Imagine the most mouth watering Italian bread stuffed with gyro, pepperoni, and green olives (my favorite combo) that is then covered with melted butter and cheese ! Its the greatest way to commit your diet suicide with a smile! The owners are from Greece, and have been providing me with the greatest of service for 6+ years!

Food is inconsistent. You never know what to expect each time, they have made repeated mistakes on orders only to claim the order was made the way they had always prepared it in the past, which is totally untrue. They are also dishonest. Had to discontinue patronizing this establishment due to continuous problems with orders and the worst part was when I had to go to the restaurant to get my refund due to another botched delivery order. It was after having met the owners and a couple of employees and then viewing the establishment in person, that I saw the reality of it all. I was appalled at the filth and the hygiene over all, it was downright horrific. Sickened now that I realize all the deliveries I ate from there came out of such disgusting conditions and were made by those dirty people.

Their food is consistently yummy and tonight I picked up a grilled chicken salad to have at home. Once I got home I discovered the lettuce was turning brown throughout. Called Athena's and asked for a credit and they insisted upon bringing me a new salad. Was it a bummer to wait, yes, but I think they are a class act!!

I have to preface this review. Being born in Denmark a pretty standard pizza, considering the amount of Mediterranean heritage, is what is called "Sharwama pizza" It is a standard pizza with tomato sauce, they add gyro/shawarma meat and put it in the oven. When the pizza is baked they drizzle it with tzatziki sauce, add lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber. With that being said - I haven't been back to "the ol' country" for about 6 years and I've been CRAVING said pizza for the last few months. NOWHERE could I find the pizza on the menu so it would have to be specialty ordered. I finally ordered it from Athena Pizza for take out and they NAILED it. I was afraid that they might slather it in tzatziki sauce which would make the bread soggy. I was PLEASANTLY surprised. Absolutely delicious and brought me back to days of old. Will absolutely order this again from this place. Cannot stress how delicious they made this pizza. Thank you, Athena Pizza, for bringing great taste and to help bring back good memories! This place started out good, but has turned to fabulous! Today, after the worst day ever on the lake, I ordered a large Agean with gyro meat. It was the absolute best pizza I have ever had fom there. Wil continue to support them. You should give them a try!

By far THE best local delivery on pizza, gyro's, & philly's around! Being a vegetarian I go for either the Athean pizza (if my boyfriend is willing to sacrifice not getting the great white his half with chicken, mine regular without) or the veggie wrap (which is basical a vegetarian friendly gyro) accompanied by the BEST tzatziki around & completed with hand cut fries drenches it savory herbed spices. Believe it or not even their calamari is great. Yum! Is it time to call for take-out, yet? :-)
