India is the birth place of Chicken Tikka Masala and Curries. Indian foods are prepared with a blend of finely mixed spices quite popular across the region. The spices develop the rich taste in Indian food enough to boggle your mind. The ever-increasing fan base of Indian food around the New York city is steadily increasing because of the large number of Indians who traveled to the land of dreams. The Indians also brought their very own vibrant, colorful, and aromatic authentic dishes for the people in the West. While most of the Indian population is Vegetarian, Indian food is great for people who are looking for vegan or vegetarian food option. If you are a Meat lover, don't get disappointed yet. Indian food also boasts of some popular non-vegetarian dishes too. Few examples are the famous Butter Chicken, Mutton Biryani and Tandoori Chicken are enough to satisfy your taste buds.
Indian food has gained reputation all over the world especially in the United States. You can find many places serving the appetizing Indian food across all major cities in the US. India is a diverse country with different food culture originated from different parts of the country. While the Northern region boasts tandoori dishes and korma offering royal taste, the Western Ghats offers sea foods that is made in naturally sweet tender coconut milk. The South Indian food servers a quality of different dishes made from rice accompanied with spicy chutneys, curries and famous sambhar. Also, the Indian sweets are a delight to relish. If you ever want to have a burst of sugar syrup in mouth, don't forget to try few Bengali Sweets. Be it spicy, tangy, or sweet flavor, you can find everything in the Indian cuisine. Be assured that the melody of spices will surely bring delight to you.

Wow! Very authentic and yummy! Great low price and awesome food. Atmosphere was casual and informal. Loved it.

So disappointing. Plus I have been trying to get my boyfriend to try Indian food for years and he would not, unfortunately this was his first experience. If I could rate it less I would. All Styrofoam & plastic wear which even makes the healthiest food unhealthy. Unclean and not good. Wish the review I read were honest, either that or these people don't know food. Pass on this one. I could say more but I won't.

This is an update. I have not been to this place in awhile but I just realized how much I've missed their food. They had a facelift and it looks much better. They are also serving garlic naan bread now which is so good! Still love this place !
(5)Angeles W.
Inexpensive Indian food buffet - something I didn't think I'd ever get to say about this area. The options were numerous, and all we tried were delicious.
(4)A S.
Best Indian buffet in Buford! Definitely will be returning.. Everything was SUPER DELICIOUS!!

Went for brunch on a sunday first time, absolutly fantastic, great food great service, back again soon, one of my favorite restaurant in Buford

Revisited this place with my sister (who commented below me) & if I could give this place 0 stars, or .5 stars, I would. It must be a sin to cook food this badly. I don't understand. I'm a good person. What did i do to deserve this pain? I walked out of here hating my life & questioning the choices I've made. Nothing is good. Nothing is fresh. Everything is stale. They gave us a voucher to get a free chaat, and normally i never refuse free, but I'm still not coming back. Please, save your money. I have to end this here now bc I feel like throwing up.
(1)Christina T.
This food was not cooked fresh, they just scooped it out of warming trays. I really don't see the need for 5 employees behind the counter 30 minutes before closing, who are doing nothing but scooping the occasional order. The food was unimpressive and lacked flavor. Also, they gave SOO much rice, even with dishes that were not supposed to come with rice. I won't be trying this place again.
(2)Raj Y.
Update. Okay food. Looks like they are trying their best to improve the restaurant's previous situation.

So, the deal with this place is patience. If you're willing to wait, and you tell the guy exactly what you want you will get some of the best Indo-pak food this side of Atlanta. If you're after the usual stuff, I'm sure it'll be fine, and the quality has really stepped up in the past 4 months. Now , this place is my families favorite Indian style restaurant. It's laid back. We have a relationship with the owner, since we have been there so many times, and the food is great.
(5)Jo M.
friendly owner but the food is mediocre at best. sorry. i do not plan on going back.
(2)Andrea R.
Excellent food! The lunch buffet is reasonably priced, the service is quick and friendly. They offer vegetarian options in addition to the usual meat options. I will eat here again.
(5)Art V.
Extremely stale looking and mediocre food. Very limited vegetarian options. I will not suggest this place to anyone.
(1)Shazia T.
update.... food was terrible. i only finished my meal because it's a sin to waste food. nothing tasted fresh or remotely enjoyable. it wasn't anything like my first time there. there are a ton of other places nearby to grab food. or just suck it up and wait till you get home to eat.
(1)Heather P.
Great Indian food. Everything is really fresh and nicely seasoned. I've eaten here for dinner (non-buffet) and at the lunch buffet. The food was very good on both occasions. I really like their Chana Masala (chickpeas) and butter chicken and my bf loved the naan bread and this sweetened cream of wheat stuff that tasted sort of like sweet potato. The restaurant has a casual feel and is very clean. The employees are very friendly and remembered us from our previous visit. Overall, it's very tasty and I would highly recommend it.
(5)Tina S.
I came here for the lunch buffet. The selection was great! They had salad, several chicken dishes and veggie dishes. I enjoyed pretty much everything I tried. Very friendly staff too. I will be back!
(5)Tracy M.
From an Indian food addict, I must say 786 Kebab and Curry is a great stop! Having recently moved from Atlanta, I was really missing all the great food options. I went here for the dinner buffet. The service was great! The owner checked on us throughout our visit and brought out fresh nan to our table. Good selection of dishes, all fresh and seasoned right. Loved the butter chicken. Definitely will be coming back to this place.
(5)Sheela K.
I like this place they had about 10-15 dishes (maybe even more), chai, soups, samosas, biriyani, butter chicken, chili chicken, saag, vegetables, NIHARI! (lol), Chicken seekh kabob, naan, fountain drinks, etc I can't even remember but I liked that this was a totally new concept of Indian/Pakistani buffet. Keep in mind this is one of the few left Indian buffets and this caters to more American palates but it is enjoyable nonetheless. I really enjoyed the naan, biriyani, and chicken seekh kabobs. Currently the buffet runs $13/ person + $2 for fountain drinks I felt it was worth it considering no one else has all day buffets. Also, customer service is extremely catering and kind they are doing customer service above and beyond so please consider this when writing less than 5 star reviews because your votes make or break places and I can't believe I was hesitant to come here due to questionable reviews. I want this place to stay!
(5)Richard R.
In some ways I feel like I shouldn't post a review of my visit here. My opinion is probably less than useless because I have absolutely no experience with Indian/Pakastani cuisine. I'm certainly not sure how it is "supposed" to taste, but I will offer my opinion as a first time taster nonetheless. THE SCENE My awesome wife wanted to have lunch with me today since we rarely have that opportunity during the week. She saw a coupon in the local SaavyShopper and was impressed with the selection of gluten-free options on the lunch buffet. Since we are unfamiliar with the dishes, the owner walked through each of them with my wife explaining which would be friendly to her diet while I geared up for a review by walking around taking pics. The owner asked me if I "Yelp" and offered to pay for my meal if I would write a review. I told her I would gladly write a review, but I couldn't allow her to pay for my meal (which sucks because I spend $17 for two even with the $1 off coupons). She wasn't implying that it had to be a good review mind you, she just wants more yelp presence, which I think is honorable. If I had a business of this sort and I was confident of my food, I would encourage customers to write reviews too. She treated us with great care and kindness. It could be that she was being "extra attentive" because I answered honestly when she asked if I yelp OR she quite possibly treats all of her first time guests that way. Not sure, but I found her to be genuine. The whole experience was fascinating from the music playing over the speakers to the game of cricket on TV (I've actually never seen a game of cricket before and first thought it was a weird baseball game). They also have an unusual after-dinner mint made of fennel seeds. THE FOOD Again, I am completely inexperienced with this type of food. Many of the flavors I tasted today were first time experiences and it will probably take me a few more visits to warm up to these new flavors. However, there were several items I did like. GREAT--------------- - - - - - * CURRY GOAT (4.5 stars) - not on the lunch buffet, but owner brought me a sample to taste. I'm very happy she did. * BUTTER CHICKEN (4.5 stars) - I really like this dish. Great flavor and not spicy at all. * CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA (4 stars) - Also had nice flavor, but a tad spicier than the butter chicken. NOTE: could possibly have been the Chicken Saag (I'm uncertain). * GUJRELA SALWA (3.75) - Sweet carrot dessert * KARDHI PAKORA (3.75 stars) - Although this dish was a tad spicy for my wimpy pallet, I did find it very flavorful. Only problem is I knew I was going to pay dearly for eating this later in the day. GOOD--------------- - - - - - * CHICKEN TANDOORI (3.5 stars) A staple dish with decent flavor. * NAAN (3 stars) Owner made it fresh for me. It was hot and buttery. * ALOO PALAK (3 stars) - Creamy spinach with a nice mild flavor * VEG SAMOSA (3 stars) Sort of like a triangle shaped empanada with veggies. * PANEER MAKHNI (3 star) - a cubed cottage cheese dish 'MEH' --------------- - - - - - * CHICKEN CURRY (2.5 stars) - I was expecting it to be as flavorful as Jamaican chicken curry, but this was rather bland. * BASMATI RICE (2.5 stars) - not sure if I like this rice or not. * RICE PUDDING (2.5 stars) - Could have been a little sweeter I think. * CHANA MASALA (2) - Could use more salt OTHER ITEMS I DIDN'T TRY * CHICKEN BRIYANI * GULAB JAMUN (dessert) * ALOO GHOBI * Cupcakes FINAL THOUGHTS As first time visits go, this was a pleasant one. I was a bit overwhelmed with all the new flavors bombarding my taste buds, but I'd be willing to come back for another round. It is a strong possibility that many of the items I didn't like this visit might possibly get better reviews on the next. New flavors sort of freak me out (and my stomach too)! It wasn't a good day for me a few hours later, but hey, in the name of Yelp I'm boldly exploring new food frontiers. Unfortunately that means my digestive system may go through some major retooling. 3.5 stars overall

This place is great. The food is always fresh, and there is a wide assortment of vegetarian, vegan, and meat dishes. My husband can have his lamb, and chicken, and I can fill up on many of the chickpea dishes. Everything is clearly marked, so you know what you are getting. Some of the signs will say "spicy", so yo know what you are getting ahead of time. The owners are concerned with your experience, and they are upgrading the restaurant often. When we first started coming, they had tables and chairs, plastic plates, and cans of coke. Now they have very comfy booths, a nice set of plates, and a soda machine. I cannot stress to you how good the food is. You can tell it is made throughout the day in small batches to remain fresh. I highly recommend you eat here as soon as possible.
(5)Jennifer H.
Ya know when you are eating something so complex and so delicious that you have to make "mmmm" sounds when you eat? That's how you feel when you eat here! From the korma to the chicken tikka to the daal, everything is so beautifully spiced that it feels almost as if you are eating with your soul. If you are not expecting it, the buffet/cafeteria style dining can be a bit off-putting... But I implore you... look past the decor. Know that what is waiting for you under that glass is a little scoop of heaven... No... A lot of scoops of heaven! (It's an all you can eat buffet.). The friendly folks behind the counter prepare this food with so much skill and love... As if for guests in their own home... which is apparent in every bite. So glad to have discovered this little gem.
(5)Jay W.
Good food! Wish they had bigger tables, went with co-workers and tables only set four. Other then that really spicy. Also wish they had fountain drinks instead of cans. I would recommend this place.
(4)Aric D.
I went for late lunch and food was still fresh on the buffet. Great service and great food. I'll be sure to return for the dinner buffet. -Have been back for dinner and wow. Food constantly being prepared fresh for buffet and great customer service. I've seen a minimum of 6 vegetarian dishes the rest if the buffet contains meat, excluding dessert. Complimentary Chai. They'll also customize spicy level. If you're curious about contents on the buffet, ask! I received a full walk down.
(4)Chuck B.
I do not understand the negative reviews on this restaurant...?!? This is great Pakistani / Indian food. The lunch buffet is fairly priced and the ambiance is very casual . Friendly service and awesome chai tea!!! Their Keema Ground Beef & Bombay Potatoes are two of my most favorite dishes!! Their seasoning is outstanding- I highly recommend them.
(5)Amber K.
Best indian & pakistani dishes absolutely loved this food . I really recommend if you want to enjoy with your family .very friendly owner clean place. Fresh food cooking right in front of you . The best ....
(5)Sandra M.
The food is really good and the prices are pretty cheap. They also have really good customer service. I walked in for the first time and told the cashier that I wasn't familiar with some of the ingredients and that it may take me a while to order. He seemed really eager to help me and told me which foods suited my needs (I don't eat beef, pork, goat etc...) and explained what a lot of things were, which was extremely helpful. As previously stated, the food was pretty good. I have no complaints. One thing I may add, is that I didn't realize how much cilantro was used in Indian/Pakistani food. I personally love it, however if you're not a fan, I don't suggest going here because they use fresh cilantro that's very strong.
(5)Dina C.
This restaurant is Pakistani, which means meat centric dishes as compared to the veggie centric Indian cuisine (a plus in my book). However, they have numerous veggie offerings. The food is authentically spiced and they provide a generous variety of foods in their buffet. Their buffet keeps moving, so the food was fresh and the Naan was soft & warm while I was there. The beef kofta, bindi masala, tandoori chicken, chicken tikka masala, and many offerings were spot on. I am not a wing fan, but they offered Pakistani spiced wings. Overall, a very solid for a buffet and they cater to actual Pakistanis.
(4)Karim J.
Really good buffet only restaurant. Initially felt the $13 dinner buffet was slightly higher than usual, but with superior service and good food, it more than made up for it. Had a nice variety of food - vegetarian and non-vegetation. They had all the usual: butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, Chana masala, etc. They even had a good assortment of desserts. The place was kept clean and the service/people were very professional. I would certainly recommend it and would come out here more often if it wasn't outside of my usual commute. Enjoyed the food!
(4)Adam B.
Fantastic food. Fair pricing. Ive ordered takeout from this place 3 times and I haven't been disappointed yet. Every dish has been delicious.
(5)M. M.
Saw this place in the way home and decided to pick some up to go... Not an option due to pricing. Dinner is 11.99 which is not bad at all for a buffet but if you want it to go, they want 7.99 per pound. Considering all items are quite heavy, this is ridiculous pricing. Especially when it's not exactly fancy or clean. To make matters worse, I did stand around for a while before anyone came out to help me...
(1)Khuram D.
I came back here today for the buffet. It was delicious. Lots of variety, both veg & non-veg. The naan was so fresh and fluffy. The biryani had great flavor. The staff was friendly and the food is made from scratch. Would come back.
(4)Gracie C.
So much selection and the food is very good and authentic. Very clean and reasonable price for lunch buffet. Owner is friendly and offered to prepare something for my friends toddler something less spicy. I would come back again.
(5)Jose O.
786 Kebab & Curry serves up Indian food prepared in a fast food format. The restaurant is located in a strip mall across from the Mall of Georgia. I feel the menu is a bit large for a restaurant in of this type but it does cover all the "usual suspects" of North Indian food. You will find your Tandoori chicken, Naan and Chicken Tikka Masala. The actual dishes themselves are great if you are just starting to explore what North Indian food is about. Where the restaurant excels is in portion size. The combination plates come with a curry/kebab with a lot of rice, a big piece of Naan and a medium size salad! That is a lot of food! I don't even try to finish all of it I just take it home for later. So if you are looking for a lot of average Indian food for a reasonable price this is the place for you. The next time I'm craving Indian, I will be visiting.
(3)Peppermint L.
Kebab & Curry is a great-priced restaurant with okay food. They have a buffet at lunch time but you can also order special items. I had some kind of curry and my friend had naan. It's not the best curry in the world but for the price, it's really good. It feels like a fast-food option for Indian cuisine. The service is also really nice and helpful. I will definitely come back.
(3)Cami L.
Incredible food! We had the Chicken Tandoori Leg, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Garlic Naan. The Naan was made fresh and was awesome! My husband spent time in India a few years ago and felt this lived up to his food experience there. The staff was very kind. We will be regulars here!
(4)Ram S.
Was so happy to have a Indian food close by and that too served good food. Not sure what happened , but their quality has gone bad . My third try on their buffet made me go to McDonalds Today they served Palak paneer but forgot paneer. Half the trays on buffet are empty. The boiled egg curry tastes like rotten eggs................ I wish they can restore their quality.
(1)Mei L.
One star for cleanliness and the preparation of my food upon order. One star for the friendliness of the staff. But as far as the food goes, it is bland. I had to add two packets of salt into my small bowl of Mixed Vegetables and it still tasted plain. The Chaat Samosa was refreshing, so one star for that. I may come back and try some of their other items like Tandoori Chicken.
(3)Lisa A.
Friendly staff, family style service. Thank you!
(4)roger v.
I was in the area and was hungry so stopped by on impulse and was very surprised by their buffet (I usually avoid buffets). I even tried to yelp the place from the parking lot but it didn't come up, went for it anyway and everything was hot and fresh even at 3pm. Variety was decent for lunch and owner was very friendly, he said dinner has more choices. I usually go to mughals and sabri in norcross but I've added these guys to my list, only wish it was closer to me.
(5)Maddy C.
Let me tell you, I love this place! There are a few indian buffet places around the area, but this place is one of the top places I would recommend. The food taste great and the buffet is always full and hot and ready to serve. I would recommend eating the buffet even though there is a menu options for those who want one dish. I have seen them just serve food from the buffet to customers who want to order one dish. This buffet has the largest variety of indian food that is filled with spices and flavor. There are the typical things you expect at a buffet, Naan bread, curry chicken, goat, basmati rice, butter chicken, chicken tika, tandori chicken, kabab, that spinach dish with the chees and the chick peas dish (forgot the names), and many other more dishes. There is also dessert like their rice pudding and the fried balls in syrup. Not to mention the hot chai tea with milk that comes with the meal on tap. Love the food and the atmosphere, the two times I was there, there was a cricket match going on. Also would like to mention the staff is friendly and the facility is clean. If you are looking for good, flavorful indian food, I recomend 786 Kabab and Curry!!!
(5)C M.
If you are looking for good authentic Indian food, this place is for you. The ambiance is very simple. It resembles a fast food atmosphere. However, it's a good spot to get some good food.
(4)Zain D.
Food: Not traditional Indian but still very flavorful. Ask for it SPICY if you want the zest you'd get at a hole-in-the-wall in Decatur. Space: Very clean and modern with lots of area, which is good because they seem to always be busy. The outdoor seating is also a nice plus. Service: Friendly staff and quick service, got everything in 5 minutes. Price: $9 for curry, rice & naan is a very good price but they should give more curry and a lot less rice. Overall, it's a nice and refreshing addition to the dozens of restaurants on MOG blvd.
(4)D L.
Went for dinner. Ordered: -paneer masala -biryani rice -some kind of deconstructed samosa Food was not bad, but not memorable. Lacked... flavors? However, friendly service, clean space, and low prices for good-size quantity of food.
(2)Matéo G.
Love this place. I go there about once a month. Food taste fresh every time. Owners are really friendly too. I always get the buffet which let's me sample plenty of food.
(5)Jeffrey F.
We love this place. We go at least once a week. The butter chicken is sooo good. Especially if you order it hot. The kebabs are really good too. The owner is very friendly and will customize any entree for you. Nice selections on the weekend buffet. Portions are large and place is clean. This is our go-to place for Indian cuisine.
(5)Sarah C.
This is one of my favorite places. A wonderful family owned business. Everything was delicious and authentic. This is the real deal here!
(4)Tim B.
Love this place! Very friendly people. Fantastic food too. You can have a small buffet. Or order off the menu. I do the buffet everytime though. It has everything you need. Several curry choices, fresh naan, tandori chicken. Enjoy!
(5)Michael G.
Its been a few weeks since we ate there, but we were very impressed with the new buffet. We went after 3 PM and so had the dinner buffet, which came to about $25 for the two of us. I have to say that I pigged out on the chicken tikka, the chana masala, the tandoori chicken, and the different varieties of Naan. I think I tried everything and found it quite tasty, with plenty of food available. They actually had puri as well, but I think puri is best when fresh and hot - all puffed up. This had been cooked a little while, and in the bin. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad at all, but everything else was so good that it seemed only average. We also ate some of the deserts they had out. I tried the mango cake and my wife had the chocolate cake. Mine was good, but I was really too full to really enjoy it. My wife said the chocolate cake was fairly generic and wished she hadn't overstuffed herself by eating it. We have had the lunch buffet previously, and I think I would prefer it over the dinner buffet simply because it offers a few less food options and I would eat less. This will be a regular stop for us when our son is not with us (since he won't eat Indian food.) They have outside seating, but it has always been too hot to think about it every time we come, plus you'd have to go back inside to get another plate of food if you were eating the buffet. We'll be back.
(5)Melissa I.
Delicious!!! Great food, flavor and service. I eat here almost every week :)
(5)Stuart A.
The food was really good, and the service was friendly. The manager stopped by to explain what all the sauces were. We loved the samosas and the house chutney (very spicy). The menu is not extensive, but there are both vegetarian and non-veggie choices; we had the chicken masala and the curry. The masala was better, but the curry was good. Atmosphere is more like a cafe than a romantic spot. Combos are huge (lots of sides), so you may want to split a combo and an appetizer on date night.
(4)Tom B.
I have been a regular at this restaurant since it opened but the last few visits have been very disappointing. They seem to have altered something in the balance of their spices that has affected the taste of their sauces. Even the color of the sauce has changed, and the dishes now taste also very salty. I really had hoped they would have been able to maintain a good standard but if the quality continues to deteriorate, I wont be going back there.
(2)James S.
Off to a good start. I hope they make it.....tough location.
(3)Robert S.
Not sure what the negative reviews are talking about. The food is very good here. As good or nearly as good as any Indian place I've been to in Atlanta. The Chicken Tikka Masala and Chastity Samosa are favorites!
(5)Tony G.
Great food here. I've had better indian food during my travels, but 786 is most definitely one of the better values. Price is low - very clean place - staff is on point - and most importantly the food was absolutely excellent!! If you're considering eating here - disregard the older reviews and check it out for yourself. My experience was great here. I'll definitely be back!
(4)Nancy C.
I would not recommend this place. Food is subpar. None of the food is distinct enough in flavor to say each dish tasted different. I was disappointed even the samosas were heavy and flavorless. I had high hopes. But sadly, I would not recommend this place.
(1)Angela B.
I love this place! We go just about every weekend. There's a great selection of both vegetarian and meat options on the buffet, and the naan is fantastic! The owner(s) are also very friendly and helpful. This is easily my favourite Indian place in the city right now. I highly recommend checking it out if you like Indian buffets.
(5)Billy M.
Fantastic food, especially the butter chicken. 4 out of 5 stars only because they couldn't keep up with the lunch rush and were low on a few dishes, but this is the best foreign buffet I've ever been to.
(4)
