SOOOOOOOO much better at lunchtime on a Wednesday. I was thrilled that it wasn't crazy crowded or exceptionally busy. We just missed the lunch rush, and that made it even better. Our server paid extra special attention to us. His name was Mark, and I can honestly say he did a great job. My water stayed full, and our tables stayed bussed. Awesome!

It's Golden Corral. What is there really to say. Group of co-workers (mainly men with large appetites) went here. It always seems like the desserts are stale and I can never get a refill.

I tried this location again last night and it was horrible. All the food handles were greasy, there were crumbs all over the place and the waitress only came to refill our drinks, and not take any of the used plates. The entire staff was unfriendly, and could care less. I used to LOVE Golden Corral but not anymore. Prices have gone way up. We spent $26 last night on cold crappy food, crummy service, and a dirty cafeteria.

Okay. So I am a fan of Golden Corral. If you know me you know that it's ridiculous for me to dine here because I can only eat one plate of food every two hours. So I try to get a little bit of everything and then I cry because I can't have dessert. But that's not why I'm here, so on to the review..... This location is in the East-West Connector area near Wellstar Hospital. My friend girl and I decided to stop here because she was STARVING! So we arrived at about 4 pm on a Saturday. I was surprised at the set up and yes it was crowded. It was set up different than most GC's that I have gone to. But you figure it out pretty quickly. It's a smaller location or it's just shaped a little different. But anyway again I digress...... This location kept the food coming out and it was hot and fresh. Although not as big as some other locations, so it seemed the bar was missing some items. It was still more than enough selection wise. I noticed that there was a Cinco de Mayo feel to this location. Which is fine by me because half of my current ex is Puerto Rican, so the mainly Mexican patrons, employees and food was fine with me. As a matter of fact, I only bring this up because half of one side of the bar was all Mexican type dishes. Much more than the usually taco shells and little taco salad bowl thing. I thought it was GREAT!!!!! Please note that I am not trying to be insensitive. I am African American woman and from Atlanta. I know all too well how it feels to be the only black person in a room. I have been fortunate in that I have had the opportunity to frequent some very nice restaurants and Clubs that have few people of color there and I know how it feels to be looked at like "WTF or WTH is she doing here. I almost missed out on the steak. My friend was arguing that the cook was being stingy with the steak and only gave her thin pieces. I assumed that meant "Girl this steak is good as hell. You need to try it!". So I stopped stuffing my face long enough to go up to the grill and try the steak. Well there were two people ahead of me speaking Spanish to the guy on the grill telling him what they wanted. He gave them a big slice of the steak in Medium Well. I came up and in English said Can I have two slices Medium Well of the steak please. He gave me two slices about the width of a banana. So since I don't speak Spanish well I gave him some sign language along with "You just gave your friends a whole damn steak dude! I need you to make the same thing happen on both of these plates!" Of course I could only eat the thin slice he gave me, but my friend girl at the rest! Now I would have given this place 5 Stars but after encountering the stingy steak griller and the two waiters in my area that were openly verbally fighting over customers that came into "Their" area, I just had to reconsider my rating. Lord we thought the young black guy was going to kick the much older black woman with all blonde hair in the throat. I must give them a 3/4 rating. I don't care that you used to cook or wait on your fellow inmates while you were in the Big House. But you need to be a little more professional now that your Probation/Parole has come to an end. I will be back with my current ex and I think that I'll ask him to carry his pistol just in case the employees get out of hand. Oh my, how did I almost forget little Miss Maria, a waitress, in the bathroom that washed her hands properly after leaving the stall only to then wet her hands with water and take them through her hair to style it. Then off she went right out of the door to wait on customers. So I got my own damn rolls because I was not sure if Blondie practiced the same nasty hands rule or not.

We won't be back. This used to be our chow run for kids, where everyone could get whatever they wanted, and a little bit orf everything. But the quality has dropped drastically over the years. The product might look the same, but they have made some changes that mean the flavors are not right. Nobody finished their plates, and no one went back for seconds. Did you know that Canteloup is in the "Musk Melon" family? Do you know WHY it is called muskmelon? Well when ti is over ripe...it tastes that way. Apply that to all the fruit at the bar, and a number of other hot items, and you see the problem

Ok... so yeah I have a love for the all you can eat buffet. What can I say... this place is nice. I love the chicken fingers and fries hence the reason that I show up every sat around 4:30 which is a mix between lunch and dinner so you get that best of both worlds People please do not look down upon the buffet style eatery, sometimes you can find great things.... This location is pretty clean, the food is always fresh looking. None of that seating out looking all dry and stale ya know. The staff is quite friendly and has a good pace of getting people move in and out. If your on this side of town and really don't know what you have a taste for check this place out it could be your new undercover love spot......

This place is great to take when you have picky kids. We had family visiting and the kids rarely can agree on one thing they hope to eat. Going here allowed them all to have a little something they enjoyed. The place is very busy on weekend, and it's not the most healthy of food options, but it could be worse. It is clean on the inside, food was fresh and staff was friendly.

I eat here 3-4 times per week for dinner...steak is great for all you can eat (ask for a little extra seasoning). The yeast rolls with honey butter will be the death of me, I could eat 10 every time I go. Plenty of veggies to add variety. I usually go with the cabbage, green beans, black eyed peas, collards, and peppers/onions. Great salad bar with plenty of add ons and toppings... For dessert they have a peanut butter shooter it has a small chocolate cake in it...surprisingly yummy, or you can go for the banana pudding which isn't all that bad either. As far as service goes, it's the only reason I dropped a star...there are several great waiters and waitresses at the austell location, Alex is my favorite, FYI. However, I have ran into a few bad servers or "chefs" that seemed to be uninterested in helping...this can have a lasting effect...especially because on a busy night you can't choose your seating.... The only other negative I will point out is the small drink selection...only about 6 fountain drinks and sweet tea/water....they do offer "free" coffee. Overall I keep coming back, it's great for my low carb diet, because there is plenty of selection to choose from in the no/low carb variety....try to hit them at 3:45 or so to get the lunch price for dinner....

We haven't been to this Golden Corral location in about two years and it's very rundown, dirty and nasty since we last came. The food didn't taste the same either it didn't taste fresh at all and the bourbon chicken was very salty. The empty tables had clumps of food left on it and the floor too. We went on a Monday afternoon and it wasn't busy so it was no excuse why the place was filthy. The carpet was really dingy and had a lot spills on it. The carrot cake icing had a funny taste to it like it was sitting out too long and should have been refrigerated. This locations really need to remodeled it has an old nasty smell to especially when you come in near the door where the high chairs are located. We had to cover our drinks with napkins because several gnats were flying around. The bread pudding was very slimy like it was sitting there all day long. Our utensils had brown spots on them because they weren't cleaned properly. Our waitress didn't ask to refill our drinks barely came over to check on us and regretted leaving her a $5 tip because our bill was around $30 for two people. I don't think it was worth $30 we could've went to other places and spent that amount and receive better service and food. I recommend no one eat here the health department really need to check this place out. If it's nasty in dining area imagine how it look in the back where they cook the food and wash the dishes. I won't be rate here again.

Made the mistake of going on Mother's day. The line was not bad and seating went fairly quickly. The first shock was the $13.99 ($13.49 for seniors). The food however was below mediocre to put it kindly. The hot food wasn't hot and the cold food wasn't cold. The mashed potatoes were runny, the fried chicken tasted like it was reheated, the cabbage and Brussels sprouts under cooked and the Mac and cheese over cooked. Drink refills and getting the table cleared took longer than it should. But the cotton candy and hand dipped ice cream were good. My family has crossed this one off the list permanently.
