Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I'm always in the mood for Mexican food. I enjoy the many things you can eat and substitute the meat for vegetables. I recently visited with my sister, niece and brother-in-law. We were seated immediately. The wait staff was nice. We encountered a bit of confusion when ordering, but the staff went above and beyond to make sure the orders were correct. The menu is large, there is so much to choose from. I had a combination order. You could build your own meal. I ordered a cheese quesadilla and a taco. I also opted to make it a supreme, which is getting lettuce, tomato and sour cream on the side. Beware everything is additional. My sister had a taco salad and bro-in-law had a chicken taco platter. Everyone enjoyed there food. My niece enjoyed everyone's food. She loved the beans and ate all of mine. So, it's safe to say those were a hit. With the items I ordered, you can' t go wrong. I enjoyed both. The restaurant is spacious inside and out. They have outside dining. They also have good parking. The bathrooms were clean and the water was very hot. So be careful when washing your hands. Also, this seems like the type of restaurant that can easily accommodate large groups. There were several large groups there and there was plenty of staff to assist. I'd visit again.

First of all, if I could rate with negative stars this location would be well below 0. Second, I pulled in the parking lot and three Latino males were in front of the restaurant urinating while leaning on their truck. Called in an order and was told 10-15 minutes...15 minutes later I arrived and it took 10 minutes (at least) for someone to even acknowledge me. On top of that, the manager and I'm guessing a second manager NEVER came and said "we're getting it together, ready shortly, etc. I finally found out which waiter took my order and he sat in the corner messing with the POS system doing God knows what. When my order was finally ready it had been 35-40 minutes (probably longer) since I placed the order. The restaurant wasn't even busy. I used to work in restaurants and I do understand that orders take time but this was beyond ridiculous. To say the least I will NEVER return to this location (Wrightsboro Rd in Augusta, GA). Hopefully a member of management that cares will see this post and work on making a change. Oh yeah, the order I placed ended up being wrong and I was not given any kind of discount or apology for the problems. Trust me, you don't want to waste your time at this location. (The Washington Rd/Augusta, GA LOCATION HAS NEVER GIVEN MY FAMILY A PROBLEM IN THE 22 years we've been eating there)

The food was alright, but the beans didn't taste like homemade, wait staff was accommodating and nice, was a bit loud for a sat.at 6 pm, I would visit again for the Avacodos dip...

Was carving some well made Mexican and it the food was. To die for came out hot and delicious! The chips in the beginning were very fresh. The menu had a wide variety of Mexican all very well made. My husband had the steak tacos and my daughter had the shrimp tacos. All of which were freash and the packed with amazing flavor! My only complaint was the server he Took 20 minutes before we could order and took 20 mins to receive our checks. However my friend tthat i. Went with said this was abnormal so I will definitely be going back! I give the experience a strong 3 would Be a 5 had we had better service.

This is a place I visit almost on a weekly basis for lunch. It's fairly quick for a sit down, the service is good and I like their take on Mexican. I especially love the horchata drink and normally order the huevos con chorizo.

Don't waste your time. like a lot of the others have put on here the beans and rice were not very flavorful. chips and salsa were lacking. although the workers were very authentic and their Spanish was very fluent the food was very lackluster and not appealing at all. I will not be coming back to this place. Also the floor was kind of coated in some sort of slimy material.

I'm learning a lot about Augusta... one of them is.. when you have an instinct...listen to it! Ambiance: lol what ambiance? It smelled a little weird and they had the scariest carpet in the world. I was terrified to drop my phone because I wouldn't want it to touch my face after. We asked to eat outside but then later she revealed that it's really buggy.. the only reason why she told us was because my cousin made a joke about it. Service: The woman seemed like she was forced to work there...almost like she couldn't get a job working at Dollar General. We asked a normal question "What do you eat here?" and she said the scariest thing.. "I don't...but when I do I would get (whatever it was called)" GASP.. why don't you eat here?!? Well since everyone was set on this place after back and forth indecisiveness.. I ordered what she recommended and Margaritas to wash it down. Food: My dish was surprisingly really good. It was a chicken, steak, shrimp combo served with rice and I ordered mine without the queso. My cousin's... not so much. She ordered "American" Buffalo chicken tenders with fries. The ketchup was cheap and the blue cheese was old. Sent it back Drinks: I'm still not sure if it's worth getting a pitcher or just buying margs by the glass $2.something ..but we decided to get the pitcher. The marg was decent... but the sangria omg.. tasted like Mad Dog 20/20 with an orange wedge... Stop.com . Sent it back Manager: Manager came to see if everything was ok.. which I was pleasantly surprised about. I told him that it wasn't really. No comps but he did replace our meal and pitcher. Bill: Our server asked if we wanted the meal on separate checks.. we said no if she could just put the drinks on one (my friend was picking up the tab) and the food on another (i was picking up the tab).. it would be plenty. She said ok.. but then decided to fix the bill sitting next to us. I"m sorry... isn't there a computer where you can do that? I was annoyed and thought it was rude when she said no. In short, I won't come back... but the margs were strong.

The chips tasted like the grease was bad. Not crispy and unfortunately too greasy. The salsa was ok. Our party had the speedy Gonzalez as well as the combination platters. Average tacos and enchiladas. The Chile relleno aka the pablano Chile was INTERESTING and the tostada was ok. Beans tasted like they were canned and not fresh. Don't get refried beans if possible. Didn't try drinks but they looked good from other tables. Deep fried ice cream and churros were good.

Random choice while visiting the area and we weren't disappointed. Looks like they are remodeling and still needs decor. My biggest complaint (not that big!) was the seating. I sank DEEPLY into the booth. We were laughing at the ridiculousness of it. I felt a little girl dining with her daddy! Chips and salsa were good. Asked for some hotter sauce and they delivered. Husband had mixed fajitas and I had the fajita burrito. We received our meal in a timely fashion and they put huge portions down in front of us. My burrito was full of steak and veggies cooked just right. They put a small amount of pinto beans and rice in there too and it was a very good burrito. Husband thought the fajitas were tasty, maybe a little heavy on veggies for his taste. He couldn't finish his and I took half of mine home. Waiter could of come by a little sooner at end of meal and they really need to play some music but all in all it was a very pleasant experience. Thank you.

The service was pretty good. The food was ok....as far as Georgia Mexican food goes and was reasonably priced. Drinks are good and cheap! My only major complaint is no changing table in the restroom! I had to change my baby in the car....

Much improved lately. They spiffed up the interior and the food is better too. My chicken dish was loaded with chicken. It's still Augusta Mexican, but tasty enough. Most dishes are less than $10 and I have some leftover for lunch tomorrow.

The food was very good. When I saw the waitress bring the dishes in, I was quite shocked, and when I ate the food my thought was "I am having Mexican food the first time in my life!" Well I don't know if that is true, since I have visited several chain establishments up north and I am still doubtful if that counts. For the actual opinion on the food - I liked it! My mom and I went there for dinner since she wanted to try Mexican, and after reading through the entire menu, decided on two different chicken dishes. I think the names are - Pollo Mixteco and Pollo Ranchero. The dishes themselves were tasty! I don't know about authenticity, but they were different and delicious! Looks wise the place is 3 and half, and service wise probably a 3 (keep in mind, I am a generous and laid-back person) but I truly feel taste wise the place is 4 half. I would visit again.

I had the carne asada tacos and a michelada to drink. The tacos, rice and beans were bland and while the drink was huge is was extremely salty/spicy so it was hard to drink and I normally love everything spicy! I'm still on the lookout for good Mexican food in Augusta.

Service was slow and food was worse. Sent my food back after a few bites and still had to pay for half of it!? It was disgusting steak was so fatty and gross. Avoid this place like the plague. Also they have poor cleanliness rating (84) which is in my opinion a low score.

Eh...very bland food.

Disgusting. Used to be a good mexican restaurant, but now even the atmosphere sickens me. Speaking of sickening me, my most favorite menu item, the bean dip, caused me to vomit in the bathroom, leaving a big sour mess that smelled up the whole room. Even if you get the food delivered, you can taste their nasty hand soap in the food. Mmmmmm... Last time i went there was a noodle or something of that nature in my bean dip. Totally ruined my apetite. Probably wont be eating here again.

Yummy! There aren't a lot of good restaurants in Augusta so this place is almost like a hidden gem. Decent food for a good price. The chips and salsa were good and fresh. I had the fajita burrito. Muy bueno! The vegetables were fresh and the steak was tender. I would have it again. Don't overlook Vallarta when you're in the mood for Mexican food!

The food is ok here but I come here for the karoake!!! When I feel like getting my sang on this is the place I come to on Thursdays!!!

This place earned a 3.5 stars. I ate the appetizer street tacos. Pretty yummy! A bit overpriced for street tacos though. didn't have a margarita. However, I must say, I live in Phoenix, which is practically Mexico, so I have extremly high standards for Mexican food. Would eat here again though.

Terrible service!!! We stopped here on the way to Atlanta & waited forever for our food! Wasn't that good at all. Weak margaritas
(1)Mari C.
i didn't really try anything on the menu because I DON'T LIKE MEXICAN FOOD. but regardless of that my ex made me come here almost every goddamn day. i always ate a sopapilla. it was good, but how do you fuck up ice cream on top of a fried tortilla? i heard they made huge margaritas but i was underage at the time.
