    As far as california style burritos go, I consider myself an expert. I have been eating Chipotle, Moe's, Qdoba, Panchero's, etc for years. I heard great reviews about Willy's before coming to Atlanta and I was really excited to try it since this is one of my favorite foods. I must say that my first few bites were disappointing. The tortillas need to be steamed longer, as they taste to floury. All of the other ingredients taste very fresh, the service is excellent, and they have great margaritas(frozen and normal). Also, it is right on Piedmont Park so it is a perfect place to stop on a sunny day. The inside is also extremely clean, at least every time I have been here. Plus points for the outdoor area, margaritas, relatively low prices, and location. Negative points for tortillas and finding a bone in my chicken burrito during my first visit. I will definitely still go back and it's a great place to have food/share a pitcher of margaritas.

    What can I say, the food AND service is excellent. Every time I go there I always get the pork burrito with peppers and onions. There's a regular employee there that's memorized my usual and every time I go there I don't even have to give her the full description of what I want, just, "pork burrito" and she takes care of the rest. The salsa is delicious and fresh, not to be confused with stuff that you use a can opener and plop it out. The only con about this is that it gets really packed during lunch hour and it's a fight to find a table. if you want to sit down better get there before 11:30 or after 2pm. Otherwise order it to go.

    I hate reading these reviews and seeing even one person dis my Willy's! No it isn't Mexican. But neither is that Mexican place you went to last night and had margaritas and chips and salsa. Mexicans in Mexico would laugh at you. Its tacos and burritos yes, but very Americanized. Its similar to Moe's(ugh) and Chipotle(barf) except it doesn't suck, they have good toppings, and they won't yell at you. The pluses for willy's: The adobe chicken is perfectly spicy and delicious! The veggies and toppings are all super fresh and made on location The cheese dip (while mystical and wierd) is super yummy. some dude reviewed that it got skin on it. What cheese dip doesn't? I get crazy cravings for the adobe chicken burrito with no beans, add cheese salsa and cilantro and cucumbers. YUMMY! All you haters can go to El azteca!

    I like Willy's the best out of the main burrito chain restaurants, namely Chipotle's, Baja Fresh and Moe's. They have the best tasting burritos and lowest prices out of the four by far. This specific Willy's has a great location since you go into the park while or after you eat.

    Willy's Mexicana Grill near Piedmont Park is truly one of the finer Mexican restaurants in the area. Their Spanish themed white stucco building and beautifully decorated interior is more than enough to make an individuals typical Mexican lunch or diner experience unique and special. The food here is definitely something to brag about to your friends who instead chose to eat at their typical small Mexican restaurant close to their house that always has some funny smell emitting from under the table. Don't even get me started on the Chipolte sauce, because simply stating that it is the bomb is an understatement. The wait staff at Willy's are some of the best that I have ever encountered. Always on top of their game, and man (or woman) enough to handle real life server situations, like being asked a flurry of rhetorical questions when they have 5 other tables that need assistance. My favorite part about Willy's is the porch. They have very nice patio furniture available for the customers to sit at. Also, the seating arrangements offer a great view for those individuals who struggle with carrying on a conversation during their meal.

    Willy's is one of my absolute favorite local Atlanta chains. I used to go there regularly through out high school and whenever I come back it is one of the first places I visit. Out of all of the fast food Mexican restaurants (Moes, Chipotle, etc.) Willy's has the best and freshest food by a long shot. While I am not a vegetarian I always get a tofu burrito. The seasoning makes it taste just like chicken! The salsa bar has this great chipotle salsa that is a must have

    For those from california expecting an authentic mexican burrito, esp the carne asada one, this isnt your place. HOWEVER if you like burrito places like MOE'S and CHIPOTLE, youll love this place. So this place gets a 5, because while i am rating it in respect to its competition, namely chipotle, moes, and other smaller burrito chains like taco mex etc. The ingredients here are DEFINITELY higher quality, the meat is frsher, more tender, In fact I had the pulled pork and i thought the pulled pork here was better than thans house of blues and ribs at tech (where i go to school). thats not saying much but hey if you can beat any bbq house as a walk in cheap burrito place, you earn a star in my book. The steak, which my friend had was also tender and juicy, the beans, which were moist and tasty, veges, and salsa were also very fresh. AND they serve carbinated water for free!!! SAve some money, get that, squuze a lemon in it and put some sugar if you want it sweet and you just saved yourself 200 + calories from soda and a few dollars. For me, a test of a good burrito is the finish, aka how it is at the end, and Willy's passed with flying colors. PLENTY of meat and beans at the bottom (indicating the tortilla wasnt all squished up and folled incorrectly) AND the bottom of the tortilla wasnt even the least bit soaked through with the juiced from either the steak or the pulled pork, which def beats out chipotle and moes. OH and they have sauted corn as one of the ingrediants. not available at other places. WIN Ok, so all that gets 4 stars in my book. good food, better than the other places its competing against. What gets it 5. Because its CHEAPER. YES you heard me right. ITs cheaper to eat here than to eat at chipotle or moes. so cheaper and better? = 5 stars.

    It's a slow day, so I've decided to review every Willy's I've been to. Personally, I'm a Willy's kinda guy. I don't like Moe's frozen chicken and all their chintzy gimmicks, I don't like how Qdoba charges for everything a la carte, and it's baffling how brainwash-edly people tolerate gigantic lines at Chipotles for their convoluted mediocre product. Piedmont Park was the first Willy's I'd ever been to. I was originally told that they had burritos the size of small babies, and the inner carnivore in me that fantasized about cannibalism unconsciously led me to go to Willy's for the first time, where I would have to settle for a burrito instead. I miss the old menu, when they had the "Super burrito" which was easily the biggest bang for the buck amongst its competition, but obviously in the pursuit of fair competition, they scrapped it, and adopted their current menu style of charging for guac, and other extras. But still, Willy's is still the best of the burrito joints available in Atlanta, and I forever fondly remember Piedmont's as my first one. I love the people watching, and the patio. I'm not too fond of the minuscule parking and epic crowds at times, but such can be expected with such prime real estate and awesome product.

    On a sunny day a fresh marg and a taco here can really hit the spot. Downside is that It tends to get infested with children and dogs. I suppose that is going to happen and until my no children no dogs allowed margs and taco stand opens this is your only choice. As a bonus you can often enjoy cute girls in very tight jogging pants having a burrito after a super intense three laps around the track at the park. It is amazing women are willing to spend hours in pants that allow everyone to see their lady business. So, in summary: sun, lady business, dogs, kids, tacos

    I actually give it 4.5 stars. If you like Chipotle, you'll love Willy's. The food was great and the portions are huge. I had the cilantro and garlic steak burrito with guacamole and black beans. Everything tasted fresh and the service was fast and friendly. It was a very hot day, so I had the lemonade. I loved it. Not too sweet with just enough taste of lemon without it being sour. The prices are comparable to Chipotle, but at Willy's they give you a side of chips as well with your order. The only draw back is the space is kind of small on the inside so it felt a little crammed, and we didn't want to sit outside because it was very hot and humid. (the reason for the -0.5 star)

    My wife and I decided to spend the evening at Piedmont Park in part because we just moved to Atlanta and are trying to check out lots of different neighborhoods and parks (we have two young children). We looked at a few reviews of places to grab a bite online before heading down and Willy's scored well (four stars) and seemed family friendly. The family friendly part met our expectations, but the food was average at best. I am definitely not trying to suggest we will not return. The location is convenient, it was family friendly, although I wonder if that would be true if it were quite busy, and the prices very reasonable. However, if it were not for our kids, I don't think I would return. I would not recommend Willy's to others unless without kids or those with a desire to eat at the closest place to the park.

    I've eaten here about 5 times now and they have the best tasting burrito I ever had! The beans are flavourful and be sure to order with plenty of sour cream.. So darn good! And it's right at piedmont park which is a really nice place to walk and relax

    This place rocked my socks! I love a good plate of nachos and boy, did it hit the spot when I went here last week with my guy for lunch. I love the outdoor seating area and I noticed that they have a milk jug full of water and labeled it "Dog Water." How cute is that? I'm sure just doing something simple as that would attract more pet lovers to their establishment. I fell in love with their green salsa and I really appreciated the friendly, yet patient staff when I kept adding to my order or spending time figuring out if I wanted black or pinto beans on my nachos! HA! My BF might disagree with me on this one but I think Willy's is not bad and just as tasty or even more so than the other Mexican restaurant down the street from him, which serves good tasty margaritas. Very fast food like but still hits the spot. It's definitely NOT authentic Mexican food but it works :)

    JERKS!!! I used to eat here 1-3 times a week every week. Then on Saturday after I ate my lunch I noticed the farmers market next door and popped by there. I came back to my car and was booted and had to pay $75 to get it out. Even though I am a customer the guy said that I was not allowed to leaved the restaurant. Mind you the lot was practically empty. Nice way to treat a customer! I will never be coming back!!!!

    OK, someone has to explain what that cheese dipping sauce is made out of? After a couple minutes it got a skin and then as time passed I swear to god it moved! That aside, the food was pretty fresh! You could taste the quality of the ingredients, but I thought the hot sauce bar with only 3 sauces was a little weak. They all tasted sweetened which I found a little weird too. The best sauce was the hot sauce that's sitting on the table but that just wins by default because it's less sweet. I also enjoyed the Vitamin Water option. I'll avoid Soda if given the opportunity, and it's a good alternative. I can definitely see popping over during the summer and enjoying that huge outdoor seating area and cracking a beer as Ed McMahon presents me with my giant $100,000,000 Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes check! (I figured, while I'm dreaming of summer why not run with the ball right?)

    If what my friend told me is true, this is the original Moe's, before one of the managing partners split off, basically stole the business model and opened a competing chain that has now gone semi-national (mostly in college towns) while Willy's remains local to the ATL region alone. So, let's get down to business. It is similar to the Chipotle dining experience, but with a tofu option, a different variety of toppings, and a salsa bar. They also have fresh lemonade. I really appreciated the option to put cilantro on my burrito. Furthermore, they had pickled and fresh jalapenos. A nice touch. They have a pico de gallo style salsa and a corn salsa, sliced red peppers and a few other unique options. I had the veggie burrito. I got fajita veggies, red peppers, cheese, pickled jalapenos, corn salsa, cilantro, guacamole and maybe that's it... Served with chips on the side, rather than at an extra cost. The burrito was yummy, but not anything particularly out of this world. A nice alternative to Moe's or Chipotle. As far as this specific location goes, it was in a very nice looking neighborhood which was apparently celebrating it's pride parade sometime soon. Also, the patio is really, really large and I could see this being a very fun place to gather in warmer weather. Inside seating is somewhat cramped.

    Five stars for the location, and the fact that I really miss summer (I'm choosing to forget about the 100 degree 100% humidity days). Can't wait for the grass to turn green and a little time on the patio with a pint. Piedmont is awesome and you can't go wrong with Queso at Willy's!

    I've never been to a Willy's that I didn't like, but just a couple comments about this location... Their chips are my favorite part of the experience, they're so light and crispy and salty and delicious. But, this location is a little skimpy with their chips. Also, they just started closing at 9. I don't know if this is a permanent change or if it's a winter thing. The location is convenient, but I wish I could have that extra hour back for those late dinners.

    Without a doubt, Willy's probably is located in the best spot in the whole Metro Atlanta. Or, at least in Midtown Atlanta. If you're really coming to Piedmont Park just for Willy's or next door establishment Quattro, you would have your own private parking lot just behind the restaurant (if you drive)! Assuming that you could get a spot, that is. But like everywhere else in Midtown/Piedmont Park area, it is recommended to take MARTA Public Transportation to get there and around. I'm personally a picky eater when it comes to Mexicans, but I don't mind Willy's burritos (but still prefer Chipotle's, tho). It was a Saturday lunch visit, so of course the place was busy, but the workers behind the counter were effective and friendly. Ingredients were fresh, and you could add as many as you like to your order. I like the way that chips were included in your order, and three different hotness of salsa were available on the condiments bar. There are indoor and outdoor sitting areas, and outdoor furniture are movable, so it is very possible to have a big group and connect some of the tables and chairs into one group. I would definitely come back to Willy's!

    I didn't think I could find a place here in the ATL to replace the only great chain in the history, but alas, Willy's lives up to my beloved Qdoba. How'd they do it? They stole Qdoba's recipe by also putting cocaine in the queso. Or maybe it was the other way around? Either way, go here, get a steak burrito with rice, black beans, queso, sour cream, cheese, and salsa. It will put a huge smile on your face. Warning: if you do this repeatedly, you will likely suffer a heart attack, from the queso cocaine of course.

    This location of Willy's has become a total guilty pleasure. It's not something I do often (less than once a month) but it's so dang close to my current apartment that sometimes it's just a hell of a lot easier than cooking. Plus, the guys in here are always super sweet, even if I come in looking like total hell. A chicken quesadilla or a taco, giant fountain diet coke, and a couple of handfuls of crispy chips: I'm a happy girl. That being said, I certainly don't view Willy's as an authentic Mexican spot. As a matter of fact, I was recently on a date with a Mexican-American and when I asked where he found good authentic Mexican food I was totally appalled that he mentioned Willy's in the same sentence. Sure, he said it after noting that there really wasn't a good option apart from making things yourself from the ingredients available at the many mercados around town, but still. I mean, this is Willy's. It's like saying that Five Guys is the best spot to get a burger. Sure, it'll do and it is mighty tasty and you may occasionally get a craving for it, but it's nothing worthy of any top 5 lists, much less top 10. +1 star because Willy's is definitely far above and beyond the other joints like it (namely Moe's and Baja Fresh). I'd go to Willy's over them any day of the week.

    If you have ever tried Chipotle, Qdoba or Big Ten Burritos (for all my Midwest people), then you know why I only gave it 2 stars. Food: 1 star Service: 4 stars, the line cooks were super friendly :) I got the barbecue pork burrito which comes with rice, pinto beans, corn salsa, lettuce and cheese. Dear Willys.. are you kidding me? Burritos are supposed to be a complete guilt trip from all that meaty, cheesy, mexican goodness that leaves you stuffed for the next century. I drowned my burrito in every possible sauce I found in that restaurant... the 2 red salsas, the green tomatillo, the "special chipotle" sauce, the lemon, the lime and the hot sauce. Not all of them at once, of course, but I kept switching sauces because I needed SOMETHING to make my burrito taste better. What was the problem? dry dry pork. no sauce, dry cheese. not cheesy. dry rice. no flavor. noticing a pattern here? even if i ordered it with extra cheese, sour cream and guacamole (and no, i refuse to pay extra for that), it would have still tasted dry. Sorry Willy's, im sticking to Chipotle from now on.

    I love Chipotle. Usually I go to the other location merely because its closer. However, today changed all that. I was having not the greatest day. Lunchtime rolled around and I decided to give it go in hopes that food could make it better. The line on Piedmont was MUCH MUCH shorter. The parking lot has open spots in it. So, in line I go... wait for my turn and order my favorite. Grab my tray and my cup and boom! excuse me make that BOOM! the food slid right off my tray and smacked the floor. The manager without missing a beat, had it cleaned and my order remade before I could even get my drink. She was awesome. I would go there again just because the food is the same quality as the other locations... but that was much better service. In short= food as wonderful as their other location, more parking, bigger inside and out, and MUCH MUCH more attentive service!

    I love Willy's. My first experience with Willy's was in college at the N Decatur location, it was love at first bite. Yum! You just can't go wrong with a super burrito with cilantro steak, black beans, rice, pico de gallo, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, etc. This burrito used to be approximately $5-$6 back in the day, but with inflation now it is $7-$8. However, it is still worth every penny. I used to be able to eat a whole burrito on my own, but with the inflation of my age/weight and a slower metabolism, I've found it wiser to split a burrito with the hubs. It's a very big burrito, and the downside is it isn't very good leftover. Half a burrito and some of those nice crispy chips with the green salsa makes a tummy very happy. Whole burrito and chips may make the tummy... explode. Think carefully before biting into the second half!

    Willys is another entry in the mid range fast food burrito craze. Personally overall I find the thought of tackling a 1lb+ burrito un appealing on many levels. However Willy's as a chain has some good alternatives with tacos, salads and quesadillas on offer. It is not gourmet food by any means but is consistent and in line with what one would expect for the price. My experience with the service is that it is pretty consistently effective and pleasant.

    This a top contender for the I Just Don't Get It® championships. The three star rating is a solely a result of the great park-side location. Otherwise, it's a meh-filled two. They were out of tortillas today. Yeah, I know, a taco & burrito place out of tortillas . . . the stuff of graphic novels. I didn't make a fuss or question the shortsighted nature of the ordering department because I was very hungry and not all that picky. That's what makes Willy's mediocrity even more compelling: it happened on an empty belly that had nothing but low expectations, providing ample room for error. Despite my rabid starvation, I could not bring myself to ignore how astoundingly blah it was. Even the salsas were disheartening. They don't have a spicy sauce in the building. If I ever eat here again, it'll have to be under the same dire circumstances: starvation without the wheels to go elsewhere.

    Willy's I need to apologize. I'm sorry for saying that Chipotle was better than you, it had just been so so long since we were last together. Tonight I drove past Chipotle to get to you and it was oh so worth it. I ordered my tofu burrito with a smile and the man behind the counter filled it with beans, rice, oh-so-yummy tofu, salsa, sour cream, jalapenos, and cilantro. It was just as good as I remembered and it doesn't stop there. Their crispy chips are amazing and their salsa is smokey and amazing. I cover my chips with salt and lime and enjoy. I promise to appreciate you more, Willy's!

    Look folks. I REALLY like Willy's. It's totally generic American, Mexican food. Very nice people. Good food. It's right at Piedmont Park in Atlanta. No hassle. You want to have Mexican food right near Piedmont Park? Just go there. There's nothing else to say about this place. It's FOOD.

    You couldn't ask for a better place to enjoy an afternoon bite to eat. The patio here is awesome. Dog friendly, they have water bowls for your pooches. Food is great for the price. Definitely would take Willy's over Moe's any day. Burritos here are excellent. They do have a whole wheat tortilla option but I do no recommend it. It is very large, it sticks to the roof of your mouth when you try to eat it, and it doesn't taste that great. If you're worried about the cals/carbs of the tortilla I would go with the burrito bowl option. Best part about this place is you can walk off some of the gut bomb you just ate with a leisurely stroll through the park afterrwards.

    Atlanta vegans, feel lucky that you have Willy's as an option for fast food. Being vegan I sometimes just want a freakin' coke and a vegan burrito. Believe it or not, that's not all that easy to come by in San Diego, but it is in Atlanta thanks to Moe's and Willy's. I've eaten at Moes millions of times when living in Nashville but I have to say that Willy's has it beat. If you are vegan and just need something fast and tasty, these are the best tofu burritos around!

    I've been an avid Willy's fanatic for about six or seven years now...to the extent where I once had Willy's THREE meals in a row. Everytime I eat at Willy's I always say, "this is the best Willy's I've ever had" and most of the time it's the TRUTH, son! It seems like this time is always better than the time before. I love their tender meats, their yummy salsa, thin little chips, yummy tomatillo salsa, and that sexy sexy guacamole...you had me at hello...you. had. me. at. hello.... I love this location for the park setting but also because sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name. George is usually the first man you see at the steamer & meat section and we say no words, we just nod and he makes me my two regular soft steak tacos no beans. I brought my baby to meet him. He is my family. Yes, the parking lot sucks BUT you have options! We usually park on 12th, 11th, or sometimes (if we're lucky) right there on Piedmont. Where there is a Willy's, there's a way. (Write that down.) Willy's never lets me down...a true constant in my ever changing life.

    Its another pollo loco. The cheese dip was very good. Aside from that the only good thing was the location. Stationed at the side of piedmont park I was able to see every hot jogger, then again I was begged for change by every smelly bum. Go there if your extremely hungry and think you might be near death.

    This place is very very similar to california tortilla or the more popular chipotle. I got the adobe chicken ...i wasn't very impressed, every topping i wanted seemed "extra" (not cool, since i'm used chipotle's free topings) ... the taste wasn't all that for me either. also, i've only eaten here once, so i may be wrong....but do they seriously not have burrito bowls? i like the prices however....and their salsa bar is a really good idea!!

    I've been here twice and each time was less than exceptional. I personally like Moes MUCH better, I'm a burrito lover and I have to say, their burritos taste bland and the rice they put in it both times wasn't cooked long enough and was crunchy instead of soft. The meat tastes old and I just wasn't impressed...the only good thing is the outside patio which is nice to sit at during a crisp spring or fall day.

    Man, I'd really really like to give this place 4 1/2 stars, because I feel oddly awkward about giving what is essentially a fast food joint 5. However, compared to most other fast food Mexican places that come to mind (ahhem, particularly you, Qudoba of the soggy mess that you try to call a quesadilla), Willy's pretty much rocks. They have vegetarian choices splattered all over their menu, their tofu is more than decent, and according to my boyfriend their tofu burrito is supercalafragalisticexpialadociously good. I have the tofu tacos, and can attest that they are good, and that if you ask nicely enough, they'll load it up with so much deliciousness that you won't even be able to pick the thing up without it collapsing in your hands. Now I'm hungry.

    I love spending my off days at Piedmont Park, and it's so nice to be able to get lunch without really leaving the park. Willy's is similar to a Moe's or Chipotle, only much better. The burritos are so big and wonderful, with all kinds of wonderful crap inside. The guacamole is fantastic, almost as good as mom's. And who wouldn't love having a beer with their food and hanging out on the patio? Willy's is awesome. One of my new favorites.

    We stopped by here late Sunday afternoon to get a margarita which where really good (I am not a huge margarita fan to begin with). We sat outside enjoyed the sun and then for a walk around the park. The drinks cost around 6 buck each including tax.

    Oh, how I want to love this place but the nice patio and Piedmont park location can't make up for poor quality and skimpy burritos. My Pug baby Brutus and I were out for a walk and mommy wanted a burrito so we stopped by Willy's to get what turned out to be the nastiest and skimpiest burrito of all time. I mean they skimped on the rice, the beans, the meat, even skimped on the stale chips, $.80 cents extra for watered-down guac, $0.50 cents extra for canned olives. How does a $8.50 burrito end up looking and tasting like a hot dog?!? Just horrible!

    So it's my first night visiting Atlanta and I want something quick to eat considering I hadn't eaten since breakfast and the plane was delayed...as usual, but I digress. I jump on Yelp! and look for places close to my hotel because I am not feeling room service. I see Willy's listed as Mexican food...fast, so it fits the bill perfectly, so I jump in the rental and head over. I get there about 8:30 and the place looks closed, but it is a Sunday night, so I guess it's just slow. I walk in and immediately think of Chipotle or Qdoba, (both are in Colorado if you're not familiar), which this place basically is. This disappoints me slightly although I love them both, so I go ahead and order. Pricing here is very reasonable, although I expect more food when I order something with Grande in it's name. The food was very good and is on par with Chipotle or Qdoba, but that earns no more than 3 stars in my book. Willy's is solid, but doesn't really raise the bar. However if you're in midtown (I think that is what they call the neighborhood) and you're looking for Mexicana fast, you can't go wrong here.

    Does anybody remember the days when this location used to give you the amount for two burritos, in one? Also they used to load up the chips in your basket! Sure it was too much food, but it was a big draw for me when I first discovered Willy's. That being said, Willy's is still magically delicious and as long as they don't load up you burrito with the liquid remnants of the chicken or beans, you will enjoy the food. This location has one drawback: THE PARKING. During busy hours, you can forget about parking here. Also the lot is very tight, I can't imagine how many wrecks they've had over the years. Pluses: Food, Patio, and Park all right there.

    I love Willy's. Which is strange, because (1) it's technically a fast-food joint, and (2) it serves one of the most done-to-death foods in America: the burrito. But I love it nonetheless. By contrast, I won't go into a Chipotle, and Willy's local competitor Moe's loses me with their vaguely stale tortillas. The fresh ingredients and generous portions are a winner, not to mention the typically fast service. For six bucks you get a dinner-sized portion of food, plus chips and as much salsa as you can ingest. Their salsa is another major win: the chipotle salsa is smoky, rich and consistently tasty. Usually I go for the pork burrito, but I'm also really fond of their tofu -- in fact it's some of the tastiest tofu anywhere, as far as I'm concerned, and many of my vegetarian friends agree. The hot sauce that they leave in bottles on the tables is also tasty, though not particularly spicy by my standards. If you want to skip the (good-quality but not fantastic) flour tortilla, get a burrito in a bowl, which makes for a filling salad-like experience if you add lettuce as an optional ingredient. Usually I hit the location in Peachtree Center, but I have been to most of their locations and the food is pretty consistent across all of them. The results are more contingent on who makes the burrito than where you get it.

    I went once and I was hooked. I am a Chipotle LOVER, but the ingredients here are far fresher and more flavorful than the typical ingredients of a Chipotle burrito (and you thought that was impossible!). They use actual Spanish rice, and while they have all the standard tasty meat choices, they offer more vegetarian-friendly possibilities (like tofu and such) so everybody's happy! The service was quick and efficient, and the staff was very friendly. I even had to ask someone to refill the sweet tea (I'm not a native Southern girl, but I have to say when I go back to the Midwest I will ache for readily available sweet tea), and he quickly obliged, joking and smiling along the way, even. Smiling while refilling the sweet tea? Points, my friend, points. Then he held the door open for my friend and I as we struggled out to the comfy patio with our arms full of our yummy lunches. My biggest sell: Willy's passed the tummy test. Bad Mexican food will quickly and surely give me a tummyache, and I felt nothing but satisfied after this meal. For a fresh, fun, fill-you-up meal for a GREAT price, you should definitely check out Willy's. YUM.

    Willy's...to die for. I love love love Mexican food and I especially love HOT, Spicy Mexican food and Willy's provides that for me. Out of my Big 3 (Willy's, Moe's & Chipotle), Willy's is certainly my favorite. I think the decor of this particular Willy's is so cute and different. Parking can be a bit beastly around lunch time, but it doesn't matter -- the food is wonderful!!!

    Location, location, location. Great place to stop on your way to/from the park. Can also be nice sitting outdoors on a great early spring day watching all of the people (and doggies) go by. I went here twice recently and was not disappointed. Huge burritos. And the food seems fresh. However, the line to order is sort of misplaced. So it can get a little confusing when there is a huge line on a gloriously sunny Sunday afternoon. Fast food...but A-OK for the price. Oh, and did I mention the location!

    This is the only Willy's location I will go to, anything else just isn't the same. I mean really, what else could possibly make a burrito taste as yummy as when your under the sun relaxing on a patio on the outskirts of piedmont park watching the midtowners walk their little pooches?!!? Well, perhaps you're right..a pitcher of margaritas, a side of salsa, and some good friends! If you are one of those battle of the burritos fighter, and normally would never betray your love for your normal burrito joint, just try this Willy's out purely for the atmosphere as a place to rest your feet from walking through the park and playing Frisbee with your friends.

    Hands down the best Willy's in the city. I like that they let you tie your dog up outside on the patio. Their burritos are great, and really not that bad for you. I wish they served breakfast burritos but the location in Peachtree Center downtown is the only one I know of that does (they are amazing too!) This location also serves margaritas by the pitcher, they're strong and really good.

    As an ex-Texan, I can truly say that Willy's delivers much better food than 99.9% of so-called "authentic" Tex-Mex chains. From their array of salsas (pico de gallo, salsa verde, etc.) to their monster-sized burritos, to even their freshly-fried tortilla chips dripping with hot oil, Willy's never fails to satisfy! M absolute favourite part: their house sauce that is found on bottles in the center of every table. I could drink the stuff straight! Not to mention the adorable outdoor atmosphere, and the ability to take your order to-go as you frolic Piedmont Park next door.

    I used to be (and still am) a Moe's enthusiast, but since moving across the street Willy's has really been growing on me. I like the guacamole, the spicy chicken option is nice, and for whatever reason I think I like their cheese more than Moe's. Moe's certainly still has a warm place in my heart, but Willy's at least lives up to them in every respect!

    Willy's is good for fast & cheap, & of all the quickie-taco places that have sprung up, Willy's is by far the best for veggie options. My staple is 2 soft shell regular tacos with tofu (marinated in orange & ginger, I might add), pinto beans, salsa, & guac. Their standard salsa (chipolte) beats the hell out of Moe's. And they don't yell at you when you come in. My patner once had a piece of chicken slipped in with the tofu, so watch them make it if you're veg*n. Their parking lot is way too small & hard to get in & out of. Aside from that, this one's a winner.

    As many have said, I too love Willy's - a California-Mex, not Atlanta Mex, style taco/burrito joint. A note to Naoya W. (7/26/09). The charolita is actually their closest to authentic Mexican menu item! However I have found that different Willy's don't always serve it properly. e.g. the one on Cumberland does it right the one on Paces doesn't have a clue. Perhaps this was the problem with the location you went to. It is suppose to be a light, refreshing taco. Next time try it on a flour tortilla, beef, with only a little bit of the slaw, some onions, a good helping of the tomatillo sauce, extra cilantro and some of the minced jalapenos with a solid squeeze of lime. I'll be eating one of those at lunch today!

    Living within walking distance to this particular location, I frequent Willy's quite a bit. The patio is a big draw, not to mention being located at the doorstep of the city's premier park. But, the consistently solid food brings me back again and again. I just can't get enough of their burrito. I just have not gotten into the food at the other Atlanta chain burrito restaurants. Maybe Raging Burrito and Twisted Taco are a step up?

    While not the best of burritoes I've ever had, ( I grew up in San Antonio and live in San Francisco now), I will say that this is the best, fast burrito that you can find off of buford highway. Definitely try the barbeque pork, most people don't know that it's a possible meat, but it makes the best tasting burritoe. What makes Willy's so much fun is the great patio. The boy-cruising here during good weather is hard to beat. If you have a dog, double bonus. Tie the dog's leash to the metal fence and watch every pedestrian walking down Piedmont into the park baby-talk and pet your pooch. If there's a line, don't worry. It moves very fast.

    Willy's is just plain good. i mean it's SO good! always fresh and fast. by far my favorite place in Atlanta to get a quick California style burrito to go! they have a salsa bar that you can put in little to-go containers- i am not crazy about their cheese dip but you won't even need any! the burritos are very filling! you can also get the burrito in a bowl without the tortilla if you are watching carbs. i find Willy's to be better in quality (like meat) than Moe's or Chipotle and def. not as salty as those other places. YUM! oh.. i also love that they have fresh cut up lemons and limes. i always grab tons to squeeze in my diet coke and to put on my chips for a little zing!

    Right on the park, this Willy's is great. I love the food, it is cheap and tastes delicious. Also, since you are enjoying the food at the park, you might want to get one of the frozen Margaritas, they look innocuous, but they have a bite. They will definitely get you where you need to go, that is, if that is your goal! My personal favorite is the chicken burrito, but they have a little of everything, and this tex mex is great. Definitely try the sauce that comes in those bottles that sit on every table, that stuff is the nectar of the gods! The only downside to this location, is when it gets busy, it gets busy. Be prepared to wait a bit, and be rushed through the actual food line... try not to get pissy, because you are about to have great food!

    Willy's is a thriving chain in Atlanta, but the one on Piedmont is by far my favorite. The spacious patio is right beside the lovely Piedmont Park. Another great thing about Willy's is that no matter how crowded the restaurant may be, the line moves quickly. This is ideal if you want to sit and eat but aren't in the mood to wait on the long lines at competing midtown restaurants. While most people go for the burritos, I recommend opening your mind to the quesadillas and salads, which are also delicious. The ingredients are consistently fresh and tasty. The price is reasonable as well. I recommend Willy's all the way.

    The first burrito masters to really make a dent in Atlanta (RIP Tortillas on Ponce). The Will's chain is an independently owned and operatred company with many immitators (Moe's anyone?). Willy's is the first and still the best. The simple menu of burritos, tacos and quesadillas is Mexican food for Gringos by Gringos, and Atlantans like it that way.

    I LOVE WILLY'S! Being from California and knowing what REAL Mexican food taste like, Willy's is definitely at the top of the list. Big fat burrito and with all the necessary fillings at NO EXTRA CHARGE, unlike Chipolte. Chips included and your choice of salsa that you can help yourself to at the salsa bar. Burrito Bowls WITH the tortilla. SPANISH RICE which is what your supposed to use in Mexican food, NOT WHITE RICE, like other places. Their meats are seasoned to perfection and all the ingredients are fresh. Worth every penny!

    I've lived in the area for a while and finally got around to stopping by Willy's for lunch. As an avid Chipotle fan, I wanted to make as straight of a comparison as possible, so I transferred my order to Willy's as best as I could: burrito bowl with steak, black beans, cheese, corn salsa, pico de gallo, sour cream, and lettuce. The guacamole looked good, so I had them throw some of that on top, too. Everything tasted a lot fresher and lighter than Chipotle. Nothing was as spicy, which disappointed me a little bit. Speaking of spicy, I also tried the three salsas at the salsa bar. If you have a habanero salsa, I expect more spice. In fact, none of the salsas were spectacular. The chipotle salsa was the best, with more of a kick than the others. The biggest difference was the chips. Willy's has the standard thin, little salt, "will this thing break if I put salsa on it?" type of chip. I've got my leftovers in the fridge, and I'm looking forward to having it for dinner. Nothing really blew me away, but it's good enough that I'll be back.

    It's just another chain like Moe's or Chipotle - not at all a place that I would frequent. The food is prepared, then stuffed into plastic containers where it dries out completely, then it is packed into a tortilla that is soggy from the extreme steaming it got beforehand. After that, dried overcooked rice is added as well as terrible produce. Not to mention the way all of these chain mexican restaurants pack their burritos so miserably - first they make it ungodly huge that no human can take a bite out of properly, then the ingredients are all lined up on the burrito in a row, so each bite you only get one of the ingredients. One bite is just rice, the next is just guac, then just meat. In no way can anyone get a bite that includes all the ingredients. Yeah, its clean, its quick, and makes you want to like it because everyone else does, but in reality, in your own mind, its terrible.

    First time eating here with a group of my friends... I really liked it. Service was good and food was great- I liked it more than chipotle. They had more food options and sauces. I ordered the steak quesadilla and it was delicious. Loved the guac, sour cream and chips as well. My friends ordered the burrito and they loved it. The place and bathrooms were very clean.     Ever since moving to Atlanta, I've strolled past Willy's just about every morning when I walk my dog through Piedmont Park. Two months later, I finally stopped by after seeing a "Life without Mexican food is no life at all" meme. My assessment: it's an A-OK eatery to grab a burrito. In other words, it's not worth driving across town to visit, but it'll somewhat satisfy your craving. *** I. FOOD I tasted their Frito Burrito, and failed to realize that they actually put Fritos in it. (Just no.) When I saw my burrito-ista open a bag, ready to pour the contents of it onto my tortilla, I almost lunged across the glass window to tell him to stop. About the Frito-less burrito itself, it had adobe chicken, a special sauce, guac, tomato, onions, and other fixings. They have a variety of toppings that's similar to your standard Chipotle or Qdoba. After receiving your order, you can top it with different salsas ranging from mild to hot. I loaded mine up with their hot, however, my tongue didn't find it spicy at all. II. SERVICE It's fine. No complaints. Very fast. III. ATMOSPHERE/ DÉCOR It's casual, clean, and plenty of space for small groups. The bathroom I used was clean. IV. PRICES It definitely won't break the bank. I only paid about $11 for my monstrous burrito. V. OVERALL I think Willy's is a solid option, if you want a burrito that's similar to a Chipotle, Qdoba, or the like. And I think it's great that a local chain is being repped in the infamous Piedmont Park. However, it's more of a place that I would reluctantly eat at, because it's not an establishment where Mexicans would actually go to eat Mexican food. (But that's fine. There's a place for Willy's obviously.) It's mainly because they've left out a lot of important pillars, when it comes to Mexican food. -They could incorporate carnitas, al pastor, or carne asada into their menu. -Fresh made tortillas would be nice, too. The company should know that people will pay that premium price point. -Sell horchata. -Actually provide spicy salsa. -Again, sell horchata.

    Before getting into this Willy's, I should briefly state my opinion on Cali-Mex burrito joints as a whole. Moe's is awful.(I'm from Atlanta.... I'll never get beyond the names of Moe's burritos or their funky taste) Qdoba (which we don't have in Atlanta) has tasty meats but terrible sauces. Chipotle is way too expensive if you get meat. I seem to be in a minority that likes the sofritas as a meat substitute, and Tabasco's Chipotle sauce is god-given gift. But Willy's is really the crown jewel of Atlantan burritos. If you've never had their chili d'arbol sauce and you like vinegar sauces, then you've been missing out. I stick to the adobe chicken for either my burrito or quesadilla needs. Add sauteed onions and peppers because Michelle Obama told you that you need vegetables. Guess what? It makes it delicious. After you've settled down and are opening the styrofoam container of your order for the first time, squint your eyes as the clamshell opens. Though a food fit for a king is inside, it doesn't take a Midas to shovel it down one's throat.

    Great food, sub-par service. When I visited, most of the employees had a terrible attitude and are stingy with their serving sizes. The employees speak down to customers and are very self-centered and don't seem to enjoy their jobs. If you are looking to leave happy, don't come here. If you don't care and just want good food, this place is great.

    For what it is, it's great, though I have never been a fan of the assembly line way of ordering food. Some times the when I'm picking what I want I feel like I'm being rushed. I just get anxiety about these kinda of places. There are no napkin dispensers on the tables and the food is just messy by nature, so you take a bite and look up for a napkin and are like "!?!!?" So you walk through the crowd to the napkin dispensers next to the salsa and the coke machine swarming with customers with your hands covered in salsa/guac/etc. not pretty... The staff is friendly, efficient, and hardworking. They deserve all your $£₩¥€!!!

    I met a girlfriend for a stroll around the park with our babies and we decided to grab some food from here to eat in the park. I could tell something was "off" with my chicken burrito bowl from the first couple of spoonfuls. I stopped eating and threw it in the trash as I left the park. Well those 2 spoonfuls were enough to have me tethered to the porcelain throne for the rest of the day. I ate nothing else before going here, and of course couldn't keep anything in me afterwards, so I knew where I for the 'tummy issue' from. NEVER AGAIN!

    Public Service Announcement: Do not come to this Willy's dehydrated, hot, and with an empty stomach after walking a mile to Piedmont Park and then spending two hours strolling the Artists' Market in 90 degree heat and then proceed to down one of their delicious 12oz frozen margaritas (only $5.50), because you will not be able to walk a straight line home. Frozen tequila goodness aside, this is definitely one of the nicer Willy's locations. Even my friend commented that the veggies and burrito fillings on display looked much fresher than your average Willy's, and the fantastic location complete with a lovely patio on Piedmont doesn't hurt either. In addition to our margaritas, the cheese dip we shared was really good, though the accompanying serving of chips was a little skimpy. We also appreciated the self-serve Coca Cola fountain which helped us rehydrate a little more safely than the giant (and strong) margaritas.

    I MIGHT AS WELL AS SEEN A RAT... This sickly looking man, wearing nasty, old used rubber gloves, actually coughed on his right wrist, just as he was putting those disgusting gloves into the food receptacles and then onto the top of my chicken and bean burrito (made by another weird looking dude)...I literally stood there and was like WTF? Guy acted like it was just standard procedure.. He then offered to stick those filthy diseased gloves, into the chip bin. I didn't know whether to laugh or puke? I politely declined and was still like WTF? Then he took my dollar bill with those gloves again, gave me back change and went on to help the next customer. I didn't say anything and paid for the Hepatitis C burrito, because although throughly disgusted, I thought it was pretty funny. I took the burrito (I know this mean) and gave it to a homeless man who was out front. Anyway, I love Wiley's, but will NEVER eat at that vile location again.

    You either love it or you don't. Though I happen to fall into the latter category, it's not for lack of trying. I live across the street. I love Mexican food. Lunching alfresco on the spacious patio back in 2002 with a real estate agent and my husband, I spotted the condo building where I now live. It has a great location on Piedmont Park, and the people-watching is some of the best in the city. But after numerous lunches and takeout trips, I've realized the burritos, quesadillas, tacos, and cheese dip at Willy's, while not horrible, just don't satisfy my Mexican cravings. I don't like the claustrophobic interior, or the way the salsa bar gets crowded - and messy - during a rush. The chips are often greasy, and the burritos, while a great value, lack seasoning. (But they do fill you up nicely!) I'm glad Willy's does a great business and that it's a thriving part of my midtown neighborhood. If you're a fan of Moe's and Chipotle, then you'll probably like Willy's. One added bonus: they don't yell at you like they do at Moe's.

    Willy's is my favorite of the burrito places, which I attribute to the green salsa, the cheese dip, and the salad. Their green salsa is always brightly colored and appropriately tangy, unlike Moe's. Their cheese dip has more flavor than the others, plus you can get it in the 2oz size so that you don't feel quite as gluttonous. And no other burrito place has a salad that even comes close, with their array of delicious toppings like roasted red peppers and corn relish. This was my Willy's location during my college years. Eating cheese dip on the patio on a mild spring evening was my idea of heaven. But parking was and still is less than awesome. The burrito is $6.25 (or was it $6.95?) the same or just little better price than Moe's and Chipotle, I believe Moe's and Chipotle cost $6.95+. Everything was fresh, fresher than Moe's and just as fresh if not fresher than Chipotle. The cookies are also quite delicious, very soft and fresh, much better than the ones at Moe's. I got one. Small on the inside, but has a nice outside eating area. I wanted to sit outside, but it was a little chilly so I just walked home and ate there, after talking to a friend on the inside for awhile. All in all, it was great. I ate the burrito at around 3:45, and I'm still VERY full-- it's 8:21. This will definitely be one of my frequent spots to eat, especially since it's closer than walking to the Subway. Love it! I wish the cheese dip was free though. SIDENOTE: I sorta want to give 3 stars though because the kids meals is WAY to pricey. $5.95 for a kids meal?! Moe's kids meal is like $3.95, and I think willy's should be too-- it's ashame. UPDATE: They close at 9pm now, they have for the last 2 weeks-- which sux!

    Excellent location! I have been many times over many years and this is by far my most favorite location. They are quick and fresh. On festival weekends they are staffed to handle the crowd. The line might be all the way to the bathroom and wrapped back out the door but you will get hot, fresh, yummy food in no time, don't let the line discourage you. Unless you are in line in front of me, and then you should totally leave.

I have tried to go to other places after leaving the park but this is SO convenient and SO good! The kid's burrito is so big its the size of a regular burrito. The regular burrito is the size of a regular burrito stuffed into another burrito. They are delicious! My only suggestion is that you are ready to order when you get up to the front. They don't seem to like it too much when you take your time because they usually are really busy! My only complaint is that their supposedly super hot Chile de Arbol sauce is not really hot for those of us who eat really hot. It feels like I'm getting cheated of having my mouth on fire..and yes! That is a negative for me. :)

    As a native San Franciscan, I'm a burrito connoisseur and Willy's lives up to their tag line by serving the best California style burritos in metro Atlanta. As soon as you walk in and notice the tortilla steamer, seasoned buckets of meats and no less than 8 fixings, you know you're in for a simple, yet fulfilling burrito experience. It's packed on warm weekends and during festivals, so plan accordingly (it's worth the wait). BTW - if you order the oh so tasty margarita, watch out, it'll sneak up on you. Do yourself (and your stomach and heart) a favor before biking or driving off and stroll through Piedmont Park before you leave.

    "Burrito Snob" is not a title I thought I'd ever hold, but apparently it's happened. After years of living a block away from Moe's I have switched to living almost literally across the street from Willy's. My warm welcoming message has been replaced with nothing. The acknowledge you... it's just not the same. I can get beyond that because the last few times I've walked over here I had a bad hangover and probably preferred that no one acknowledged me. I can't get beyond their ingredients. Specifically the meat (yeah, I said meat). I tried the spicy chicken the other day and I'm pretty sure it was regular chicken from the day before and dipped in jerk sauce to fool you into thinking it was fresh. And would it be too much to ask for them to get a food processor to chop up the lettuce?? The big pieces make it seem like a soggy salad.

    Stop by there for a quick bite to eat with the GF and her family before we went to the hooch. I decided to get a quesadilla while everyone else got burritos or the burrito bowl. Even with adding salsa it was pretty bland and needed more of a kick in flavor. Out of 4 people I think I was the only one that slightly enjoyed my meal. I had a taste of their steak which didn't seem too bad, but definitely could have used more of that zing (or something similar). Willy's might be a slight step above Moe's just because they have a park location which makes it pretty fun to watch people going to the park.

They always have great customer service, fresh food, homemade tortilla chips, and perfect flavors at a good price. But, my purpose for writing this review is to give a shout out to the manager at the Piedmont store named T.J. Our office is close to this location, so we frequent this place and he is so accommodating, always going out of his way to say hello, or thank us for returning. Management here keeps a clean store and an upbeat, friendly staff. This guy deserves a raise! I worked in the food industry for years and it's not always easy. T.J, & staff, great job!

    Ever since moving to Atlanta, I've strolled past Willy's just about every morning when I walk my dog through Piedmont Park. Two months later, I finally stopped by after seeing a "Life without Mexican food is no life at all" meme. My assessment: it's an A-OK eatery to grab a burrito. In other words, it's not worth driving across town to visit, but it'll somewhat satisfy your craving. *** I. FOOD I tasted their Frito Burrito, and failed to realize that they actually put Fritos in it. (Just no.) When I saw my burrito-ista open a bag, ready to pour the contents of it onto my tortilla, I almost lunged across the glass window to tell him to stop. About the Frito-less burrito itself, it had adobe chicken, a special sauce, guac, tomato, onions, and other fixings. They have a variety of toppings that's similar to your standard Chipotle or Qdoba. After receiving your order, you can top it with different salsas ranging from mild to hot. I loaded mine up with their hot, however, my tongue didn't find it spicy at all. II. SERVICE It's fine. No complaints. Very fast. III. ATMOSPHERE/ DÉCOR It's casual, clean, and plenty of space for small groups. The bathroom I used was clean. IV. PRICES It definitely won't break the bank. I only paid about $11 for my monstrous burrito. V. OVERALL I think Willy's is a solid option, if you want a burrito that's similar to a Chipotle, Qdoba, or the like. And I think it's great that a local chain is being repped in the infamous Piedmont Park. However, it's more of a place that I would reluctantly eat at, because it's not an establishment where Mexicans would actually go to eat Mexican food. (But that's fine. There's a place for Willy's obviously.) It's mainly because they've left out a lot of important pillars, when it comes to Mexican food. -They could incorporate carnitas, al pastor, or carne asada into their menu. -Fresh made tortillas would be nice, too. The company should know that people will pay that premium price point. -Sell horchata. -Actually provide spicy salsa. -Again, sell horchata.

    Before getting into this Willy's, I should briefly state my opinion on Cali-Mex burrito joints as a whole. Moe's is awful.(I'm from Atlanta.... I'll never get beyond the names of Moe's burritos or their funky taste) Qdoba (which we don't have in Atlanta) has tasty meats but terrible sauces. Chipotle is way too expensive if you get meat. I seem to be in a minority that likes the sofritas as a meat substitute, and Tabasco's Chipotle sauce is god-given gift. But Willy's is really the crown jewel of Atlantan burritos. If you've never had their chili d'arbol sauce and you like vinegar sauces, then you've been missing out. I stick to the adobe chicken for either my burrito or quesadilla needs. Add sauteed onions and peppers because Michelle Obama told you that you need vegetables. Guess what? It makes it delicious. After you've settled down and are opening the styrofoam container of your order for the first time, squint your eyes as the clamshell opens. Though a food fit for a king is inside, it doesn't take a Midas to shovel it down one's throat.

    This is a tex-mex restaurant; completely off from a Mexicana Grill. Aside from not having many customers, the actual restaurant was filthy. Where the servers were, they kept on mixing the veggies and using the same spoons. I walked out even before I got to order anything. NEXT!

    For what it is, it's great, though I have never been a fan of the assembly line way of ordering food. Some times the when I'm picking what I want I feel like I'm being rushed. I just get anxiety about these kinda of places. There are no napkin dispensers on the tables and the food is just messy by nature, so you take a bite and look up for a napkin and are like "!?!!?" So you walk through the crowd to the napkin dispensers next to the salsa and the coke machine swarming with customers with your hands covered in salsa/guac/etc. not pretty... The staff is friendly, efficient, and hardworking. They deserve all your $£₩¥€!!!

    I met a girlfriend for a stroll around the park with our babies and we decided to grab some food from here to eat in the park. I could tell something was "off" with my chicken burrito bowl from the first couple of spoonfuls. I stopped eating and threw it in the trash as I left the park. Well those 2 spoonfuls were enough to have me tethered to the porcelain throne for the rest of the day. I ate nothing else before going here, and of course couldn't keep anything in me afterwards, so I knew where I for the 'tummy issue' from. NEVER AGAIN!

    Public Service Announcement: Do not come to this Willy's dehydrated, hot, and with an empty stomach after walking a mile to Piedmont Park and then spending two hours strolling the Artists' Market in 90 degree heat and then proceed to down one of their delicious 12oz frozen margaritas (only $5.50), because you will not be able to walk a straight line home. Frozen tequila goodness aside, this is definitely one of the nicer Willy's locations. Even my friend commented that the veggies and burrito fillings on display looked much fresher than your average Willy's, and the fantastic location complete with a lovely patio on Piedmont doesn't hurt either. In addition to our margaritas, the cheese dip we shared was really good, though the accompanying serving of chips was a little skimpy. We also appreciated the self-serve Coca Cola fountain which helped us rehydrate a little more safely than the giant (and strong) margaritas.

    I MIGHT AS WELL AS SEEN A RAT... This sickly looking man, wearing nasty, old used rubber gloves, actually coughed on his right wrist, just as he was putting those disgusting gloves into the food receptacles and then onto the top of my chicken and bean burrito (made by another weird looking dude)...I literally stood there and was like WTF? Guy acted like it was just standard procedure.. He then offered to stick those filthy diseased gloves, into the chip bin. I didn't know whether to laugh or puke? I politely declined and was still like WTF? Then he took my dollar bill with those gloves again, gave me back change and went on to help the next customer. I didn't say anything and paid for the Hepatitis C burrito, because although throughly disgusted, I thought it was pretty funny. I took the burrito (I know this mean) and gave it to a homeless man who was out front. Anyway, I love Wiley's, but will NEVER eat at that vile location again.

    You either love it or you don't. Though I happen to fall into the latter category, it's not for lack of trying. I live across the street. I love Mexican food. Lunching alfresco on the spacious patio back in 2002 with a real estate agent and my husband, I spotted the condo building where I now live. It has a great location on Piedmont Park, and the people-watching is some of the best in the city. But after numerous lunches and takeout trips, I've realized the burritos, quesadillas, tacos, and cheese dip at Willy's, while not horrible, just don't satisfy my Mexican cravings. I don't like the claustrophobic interior, or the way the salsa bar gets crowded - and messy - during a rush. The chips are often greasy, and the burritos, while a great value, lack seasoning. (But they do fill you up nicely!) I'm glad Willy's does a great business and that it's a thriving part of my midtown neighborhood. If you're a fan of Moe's and Chipotle, then you'll probably like Willy's. One added bonus: they don't yell at you like they do at Moe's.

    Willy's is my favorite of the burrito places, which I attribute to the green salsa, the cheese dip, and the salad. Their green salsa is always brightly colored and appropriately tangy, unlike Moe's. Their cheese dip has more flavor than the others, plus you can get it in the 2oz size so that you don't feel quite as gluttonous. And no other burrito place has a salad that even comes close, with their array of delicious toppings like roasted red peppers and corn relish. This was my Willy's location during my college years. Eating cheese dip on the patio on a mild spring evening was my idea of heaven. But parking was and still is less than awesome.     It's a slow day, so I've decided to review every Willy's I've been to. Personally, I'm a Willy's kinda guy. I don't like Moe's frozen chicken and all their chintzy gimmicks, I don't like how Qdoba charges for everything a la carte, and it's baffling how brainwash-edly people tolerate gigantic lines at Chipotles for their convoluted mediocre product. Piedmont Park was the first Willy's I'd ever been to. I was originally told that they had burritos the size of small babies, and the inner carnivore in me that fantasized about cannibalism unconsciously led me to go to Willy's for the first time, where I would have to settle for a burrito instead. I miss the old menu, when they had the "Super burrito" which was easily the biggest bang for the buck amongst its competition, but obviously in the pursuit of fair competition, they scrapped it, and adopted their current menu style of charging for guac, and other extras. But still, Willy's is still the best of the burrito joints available in Atlanta, and I forever fondly remember Piedmont's as my first one. I love the people watching, and the patio. I'm not too fond of the minuscule parking and epic crowds at times, but such can be expected with such prime real estate and awesome product.

    On a sunny day a fresh marg and a taco here can really hit the spot. Downside is that It tends to get infested with children and dogs. I suppose that is going to happen and until my no children no dogs allowed margs and taco stand opens this is your only choice. As a bonus you can often enjoy cute girls in very tight jogging pants having a burrito after a super intense three laps around the track at the park.     I actually give it 4.5 stars. If you like Chipotle, you'll love Willy's. The food was great and the portions are huge. I had the cilantro and garlic steak burrito with guacamole and black beans. Everything tasted fresh and the service was fast and friendly. It was a very hot day, so I had the lemonade. I loved it. Not too sweet with just enough taste of lemon without it being sour. The prices are comparable to Chipotle, but at Willy's they give you a side of chips as well with your order. The only draw back is the space is kind of small on the inside so it felt a little crammed, and we didn't want to sit outside because it was very hot and humid. (the reason for the -0.5 star)

    My wife and I decided to spend the evening at Piedmont Park in part because we just moved to Atlanta and are trying to check out lots of different neighborhoods and parks (we have two young children). We looked at a few reviews of places to grab a bite online before heading down and Willy's scored well (four stars) and seemed family friendly. The family friendly part met our expectations, but the food was average at best. I am definitely not trying to suggest we will not return. The location is convenient, it was family friendly, although I wonder if that would be true if it were quite busy, and the prices very reasonable. However, if it were not for our kids, I don't think I would return. I would not recommend Willy's to others unless without kids or those with a desire to eat at the closest place to the park.

    This place rocked my socks! I love a good plate of nachos and boy, did it hit the spot when I went here last week with my guy for lunch. I love the outdoor seating area and I noticed that they have a milk jug full of water and labeled it "Dog Water." How cute is that? I'm sure just doing something simple as that would attract more pet lovers to their establishment. I fell in love with their green salsa and I really appreciated the friendly, yet patient staff when I kept adding to my order or spending time figuring out if I wanted black or pinto beans on my nachos! HA! My BF might disagree with me on this one but I think Willy's is not bad and just as tasty or even more so than the other Mexican restaurant down the street from him, which serves good tasty margaritas. Very fast food like but still hits the spot. It's definitely NOT authentic Mexican food but it works :)

    JERKS!!! I used to eat here 1-3 times a week every week. Then on Saturday after I ate my lunch I noticed the farmers market next door and popped by there. I came back to my car and was booted and had to pay $75 to get it out. Even though I am a customer the guy said that I was not allowed to leaved the restaurant. Mind you the lot was practically empty. Nice way to treat a customer! I will never be coming back!!!!

    OK, someone has to explain what that cheese dipping sauce is made out of? After a couple minutes it got a skin and then as time passed I swear to god it moved! That aside, the food was pretty fresh! You could taste the quality of the ingredients, but I thought the hot sauce bar with only 3 sauces was a little weak. They all tasted sweetened which I found a little weird too. The best sauce was the hot sauce that's sitting on the table but that just wins by default because it's less sweet. I also enjoyed the Vitamin Water option. I'll avoid Soda if given the opportunity, and it's a good alternative. I can definitely see popping over during the summer and enjoying that huge outdoor seating area and cracking a beer as Ed McMahon presents me with my giant $100,000,000 Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes check! (I figured, while I'm dreaming of summer why not run with the ball right?)

    If what my friend told me is true, this is the original Moe's, before one of the managing partners split off, basically stole the business model and opened a competing chain that has now gone semi-national (mostly in college towns) while Willy's remains local to the ATL region alone. So, let's get down to business. It is similar to the Chipotle dining experience, but with a tofu option, a different variety of toppings, and a salsa bar. They also have fresh lemonade. I really appreciated the option to put cilantro on my burrito. Furthermore, they had pickled and fresh jalapenos. A nice touch. They have a pico de gallo style salsa and a corn salsa, sliced red peppers and a few other unique options. I had the veggie burrito. I got fajita veggies, red peppers, cheese, pickled jalapenos, corn salsa, cilantro, guacamole and maybe that's it... Served with chips on the side, rather than at an extra cost. The burrito was yummy, but not anything particularly out of this world. A nice alternative to Moe's or Chipotle. As far as this specific location goes, it was in a very nice looking neighborhood which was apparently celebrating it's pride parade sometime soon. Also, the patio is really, really large and I could see this being a very fun place to gather in warmer weather. Inside seating is somewhat cramped.

    I've never been to a Willy's that I didn't like, but just a couple comments about this location... Their chips are my favorite part of the experience, they're so light and crispy and salty and delicious. But, this location is a little skimpy with their chips. Also, they just started closing at 9. I don't know if this is a permanent change or if it's a winter thing. The location is convenient, but I wish I could have that extra hour back for those late dinners.

    Without a doubt, Willy's probably is located in the best spot in the whole Metro Atlanta. Or, at least in Midtown Atlanta. If you're really coming to Piedmont Park just for Willy's or next door establishment Quattro, you would have your own private parking lot just behind the restaurant (if you drive)! Assuming that you could get a spot, that is. But like everywhere else in Midtown/Piedmont Park area, it is recommended to take MARTA Public Transportation to get there and around. I'm personally a picky eater when it comes to Mexicans, but I don't mind Willy's burritos (but still prefer Chipotle's, tho). It was a Saturday lunch visit, so of course the place was busy, but the workers behind the counter were effective and friendly. Ingredients were fresh, and you could add as many as you like to your order. I like the way that chips were included in your order, and three different hotness of salsa were available on the condiments bar. There are indoor and outdoor sitting areas, and outdoor furniture are movable, so it is very possible to have a big group and connect some of the tables and chairs into one group. I would definitely come back to Willy's!

    I didn't think I could find a place here in the ATL to replace the only great chain in the history, but alas, Willy's lives up to my beloved Qdoba. How'd they do it? They stole Qdoba's recipe by also putting cocaine in the queso. Or maybe it was the other way around? Either way, go here, get a steak burrito with rice, black beans, queso, sour cream, cheese, and salsa. It will put a huge smile on your face. Warning: if you do this repeatedly, you will likely suffer a heart attack, from the queso cocaine of course.

    This location of Willy's has become a total guilty pleasure. It's not something I do often (less than once a month) but it's so dang close to my current apartment that sometimes it's just a hell of a lot easier than cooking. Plus, the guys in here are always super sweet, even if I come in looking like total hell. A chicken quesadilla or a taco, giant fountain diet coke, and a couple of handfuls of crispy chips: I'm a happy girl. That being said, I certainly don't view Willy's as an authentic Mexican spot. As a matter of fact, I was recently on a date with a Mexican-American and when I asked where he found good authentic Mexican food I was totally appalled that he mentioned Willy's in the same sentence. Sure, he said it after noting that there really wasn't a good option apart from making things yourself from the ingredients available at the many mercados around town, but still. I mean, this is Willy's. It's like saying that Five Guys is the best spot to get a burger. Sure, it'll do and it is mighty tasty and you may occasionally get a craving for it, but it's nothing worthy of any top 5 lists, much less top 10. +1 star because Willy's is definitely far above and beyond the other joints like it (namely Moe's and Baja Fresh). I'd go to Willy's over them any day of the week.

    If you have ever tried Chipotle, Qdoba or Big Ten Burritos (for all my Midwest people), then you know why I only gave it 2 stars. Food: 1 star Service: 4 stars, the line cooks were super friendly :) I got the barbecue pork burrito which comes with rice, pinto beans, corn salsa, lettuce and cheese. Dear Willys.. are you kidding me? Burritos are supposed to be a complete guilt trip from all that meaty, cheesy, mexican goodness that leaves you stuffed for the next century. I drowned my burrito in every possible sauce I found in that restaurant... the 2 red salsas, the green tomatillo, the "special chipotle" sauce, the lemon, the lime and the hot sauce. Not all of them at once, of course, but I kept switching sauces because I needed SOMETHING to make my burrito taste better. What was the problem? dry dry pork. no sauce, dry cheese. not cheesy. dry rice. no flavor. noticing a pattern here? even if i ordered it with extra cheese, sour cream and guacamole (and no, i refuse to pay extra for that), it would have still tasted dry. Sorry Willy's, im sticking to Chipotle from now on.

    I love Chipotle. Usually I go to the other location merely because its closer. However, today changed all that. I was having not the greatest day. Lunchtime rolled around and I decided to give it go in hopes that food could make it better. The line on Piedmont was MUCH MUCH shorter. The parking lot has open spots in it. So, in line I go... wait for my turn and order my favorite. Grab my tray and my cup and boom! excuse me make that BOOM! the food slid right off my tray and smacked the floor. The manager without missing a beat, had it cleaned and my order remade before I could even get my drink. She was awesome. I would go there again just because the food is the same quality as the other locations... but that was much better service. In short= food as wonderful as their other location, more parking, bigger inside and out, and MUCH MUCH more attentive service!

    I love Willy's. My first experience with Willy's was in college at the N Decatur location, it was love at first bite. Yum! You just can't go wrong with a super burrito with cilantro steak, black beans, rice, pico de gallo, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, etc. This burrito used to be approximately $5-$6 back in the day, but with inflation now it is $7-$8. However, it is still worth every penny. I used to be able to eat a whole burrito on my own, but with the inflation of my age/weight and a slower metabolism, I've found it wiser to split a burrito with the hubs. It's a very big burrito, and the downside is it isn't very good leftover. Half a burrito and some of those nice crispy chips with the green salsa makes a tummy very happy. Whole burrito and chips may make the tummy... explode. Think carefully before biting into the second half!

    I love spending my off days at Piedmont Park, and it's so nice to be able to get lunch without really leaving the park. Willy's is similar to a Moe's or Chipotle, only much better. The burritos are so big and wonderful, with all kinds of wonderful crap inside. The guacamole is fantastic, almost as good as mom's. And who wouldn't love having a beer with their food and hanging out on the patio? Willy's is awesome. One of my new favorites.

    As far as california style burritos go, I consider myself an expert. I have been eating Chipotle, Moe's, Qdoba, Panchero's, etc for years. I heard great reviews about Willy's before coming to Atlanta and I was really excited to try it since this is one of my favorite foods. I must say that my first few bites were disappointing. The tortillas need to be steamed longer, as they taste to floury. All of the other ingredients taste very fresh, the service is excellent, and they have great margaritas(frozen and normal). Also, it is right on Piedmont Park so it is a perfect place to stop on a sunny day. The inside is also extremely clean, at least every time I have been here. Plus points for the outdoor area, margaritas, relatively low prices, and location. Negative points for tortillas and finding a bone in my chicken burrito during my first visit. I will definitely still go back and it's a great place to have food/share a pitcher of margaritas.

    What can I say, the food AND service is excellent. Every time I go there I always get the pork burrito with peppers and onions. There's a regular employee there that's memorized my usual and every time I go there I don't even have to give her the full description of what I want, just, "pork burrito" and she takes care of the rest. The salsa is delicious and fresh, not to be confused with stuff that you use a can opener and plop it out. The only con about this is that it gets really packed during lunch hour and it's a fight to find a table. if you want to sit down better get there before 11:30 or after 2pm. Otherwise order it to go.

    I hate reading these reviews and seeing even one person dis my Willy's! No it isn't Mexican. But neither is that Mexican place you went to last night and had margaritas and chips and salsa. Mexicans in Mexico would laugh at you. Its tacos and burritos yes, but very Americanized. Its similar to Moe's(ugh) and Chipotle(barf) except it doesn't suck, they have good toppings, and they won't yell at you. The pluses for willy's: The adobe chicken is perfectly spicy and delicious! The veggies and toppings are all super fresh and made on location The cheese dip (while mystical and wierd) is super yummy. some dude reviewed that it got skin on it. What cheese dip doesn't? I get crazy cravings for the adobe chicken burrito with no beans, add cheese salsa and cilantro and cucumbers. YUMMY! All you haters can go to El azteca!

    Willy's is one of my absolute favorite local Atlanta chains. I used to go there regularly through out high school and whenever I come back it is one of the first places I visit. Out of all of the fast food Mexican restaurants (Moes, Chipotle, etc.) Willy's has the best and freshest food by a long shot. While I am not a vegetarian I always get a tofu burrito.     Willy's Mexicana Grill near Piedmont Park is truly one of the finer Mexican restaurants in the area. Their Spanish themed white stucco building and beautifully decorated interior is more than enough to make an individuals typical Mexican lunch or diner experience unique and special. The food here is definitely something to brag about to your friends who instead chose to eat at their typical small Mexican restaurant close to their house that always has some funny smell emitting from under the table. Don't even get me started on the Chipolte sauce, because simply stating that it is the bomb is an understatement. The wait staff at Willy's are some of the best that I have ever encountered. Always on top of their game, and man (or woman) enough to handle real life server situations, like being asked a flurry of rhetorical questions when they have 5 other tables that need assistance. My favorite part about Willy's is the porch. They have very nice patio furniture available for the customers to sit at. Also, the seating arrangements offer a great view for those individuals who struggle with carrying on a conversation during their meal.

    For those from california expecting an authentic mexican burrito, esp the carne asada one, this isnt your place. HOWEVER if you like burrito places like MOE'S and CHIPOTLE, youll love this place. So this place gets a 5, because while i am rating it in respect to its competition, namely chipotle, moes, and other smaller burrito chains like taco mex etc. The ingredients here are DEFINITELY higher quality, the meat is frsher, more tender, In fact I had the pulled pork and i thought the pulled pork here was better than thans house of blues and ribs at tech (where i go to school). thats not saying much but hey if you can beat any bbq house as a walk in cheap burrito place, you earn a star in my book. The steak, which my friend had was also tender and juicy, the beans, which were moist and tasty, veges, and salsa were also very fresh. AND they serve carbinated water for free!!! SAve some money, get that, squuze a lemon in it and put some sugar if you want it sweet and you just saved yourself 200 + calories from soda and a few dollars. For me, a test of a good burrito is the finish, aka how it is at the end, and Willy's passed with flying colors. PLENTY of meat and beans at the bottom (indicating the tortilla wasnt all squished up and folled incorrectly) AND the bottom of the tortilla wasnt even the least bit soaked through with the juiced from either the steak or the pulled pork, which def beats out chipotle and moes. OH and they have sauted corn as one of the ingrediants. not available at other places. WIN Ok, so all that gets 4 stars in my book. good food, better than the other places its competing against. What gets it 5. Because its CHEAPER. YES you heard me right. ITs cheaper to eat here than to eat at chipotle or moes. so cheaper and better? = 5 stars.

    Willys is another entry in the mid range fast food burrito craze. Personally overall I find the thought of tackling a 1lb+ burrito un appealing on many levels. However Willy's as a chain has some good alternatives with tacos, salads and quesadillas on offer. It is not gourmet food by any means but is consistent and in line with what one would expect for the price. My experience with the service is that it is pretty consistently effective and pleasant.

    This a top contender for the I Just Don't Get It® championships. The three star rating is a solely a result of the great park-side location. Otherwise, it's a meh-filled two. They were out of tortillas today. Yeah, I know, a taco & burrito place out of tortillas . . . the stuff of graphic novels. I didn't make a fuss or question the shortsighted nature of the ordering department because I was very hungry and not all that picky. That's what makes Willy's mediocrity even more compelling: it happened on an empty belly that had nothing but low expectations, providing ample room for error. Despite my rabid starvation, I could not bring myself to ignore how astoundingly blah it was. Even the salsas were disheartening. They don't have a spicy sauce in the building. If I ever eat here again, it'll have to be under the same dire circumstances: starvation without the wheels to go elsewhere.

Tonight I drove past Chipotle to get to you and it was oh so worth it. I ordered my tofu burrito with a smile and the man behind the counter filled it with beans, rice, oh-so-yummy tofu, salsa, sour cream, jalapenos, and cilantro. It was just as good as I remembered and it doesn't stop there. Their crispy chips are amazing and their salsa is smokey and amazing. I cover my chips with salt and lime and enjoy.     You couldn't ask for a better place to enjoy an afternoon bite to eat. The patio here is awesome. Dog friendly, they have water bowls for your pooches. Food is great for the price. Definitely would take Willy's over Moe's any day. Burritos here are excellent. They do have a whole wheat tortilla option but I do no recommend it. It is very large, it sticks to the roof of your mouth when you try to eat it, and it doesn't taste that great. If you're worried about the cals/carbs of the tortilla I would go with the burrito bowl option. Best part about this place is you can walk off some of the gut bomb you just ate with a leisurely stroll through the park afterrwards.

    Atlanta vegans, feel lucky that you have Willy's as an option for fast food. Being vegan I sometimes just want a freakin' coke and a vegan burrito. Believe it or not, that's not all that easy to come by in San Diego, but it is in Atlanta thanks to Moe's and Willy's. I've eaten at Moes millions of times when living in Nashville but I have to say that Willy's has it beat. If you are vegan and just need something fast and tasty, these are the best tofu burritos around!

    I've been an avid Willy's fanatic for about six or seven years now...to the extent where I once had Willy's THREE meals in a row. Everytime I eat at Willy's I always say, "this is the best Willy's I've ever had" and most of the time it's the TRUTH, son! It seems like this time is always better than the time before. I love their tender meats, their yummy salsa, thin little chips, yummy tomatillo salsa, and that sexy sexy guacamole...you had me at hello...you. had. me. at. hello.... I love this location for the park setting but also because sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name. George is usually the first man you see at the steamer & meat section and we say no words, we just nod and he makes me my two regular soft steak tacos no beans. I brought my baby to meet him. He is my family. Yes, the parking lot sucks BUT you have options! We usually park on 12th, 11th, or sometimes (if we're lucky) right there on Piedmont. Where there is a Willy's, there's a way. (Write that down.) Willy's never lets me down...a true constant in my ever changing life.

Stationed at the side of piedmont park I was able to see every hot jogger, then again I was begged for change by every smelly bum. Go there if your extremely hungry and think you might be near death.

    This place is very very similar to california tortilla or the more popular chipotle. I got the adobe chicken ...i wasn't very impressed, every topping i wanted seemed "extra" (not cool, since i'm used chipotle's free topings) ... the taste wasn't all that for me either. also, i've only eaten here once, so i may be wrong....but do they seriously not have burrito bowls? i like the prices however....and their salsa bar is a really good idea!!

    I've been here twice and each time was less than exceptional. I personally like Moes MUCH better, I'm a burrito lover and I have to say, their burritos taste bland and the rice they put in it both times wasn't cooked long enough and was crunchy instead of soft. The meat tastes old and I just wasn't impressed...the only good thing is the outside patio which is nice to sit at during a crisp spring or fall day.

    Man, I'd really really like to give this place 4 1/2 stars, because I feel oddly awkward about giving what is essentially a fast food joint 5. However, compared to most other fast food Mexican places that come to mind (ahhem, particularly you, Qudoba of the soggy mess that you try to call a quesadilla), Willy's pretty much rocks. They have vegetarian choices splattered all over their menu, their tofu is more than decent, and according to my boyfriend their tofu burrito is supercalafragalisticexpialadociously good. I have the tofu tacos, and can attest that they are good, and that if you ask nicely enough, they'll load it up with so much deliciousness that you won't even be able to pick the thing up without it collapsing in your hands. Now I'm hungry.

    Oh, how I want to love this place but the nice patio and Piedmont park location can't make up for poor quality and skimpy burritos. My Pug baby Brutus and I were out for a walk and mommy wanted a burrito so we stopped by Willy's to get what turned out to be the nastiest and skimpiest burrito of all time. I mean they skimped on the rice, the beans, the meat, even skimped on the stale chips, $.80 cents extra for watered-down guac, $0.50 cents extra for canned olives. How does a $8.50 burrito end up looking and tasting like a hot dog?!? Just horrible!

    So it's my first night visiting Atlanta and I want something quick to eat considering I hadn't eaten since breakfast and the plane was delayed...as usual, but I digress. I jump on Yelp! and look for places close to my hotel because I am not feeling room service. I see Willy's listed as Mexican food...fast, so it fits the bill perfectly, so I jump in the rental and head over. I get there about 8:30 and the place looks closed, but it is a Sunday night, so I guess it's just slow. I walk in and immediately think of Chipotle or Qdoba, (both are in Colorado if you're not familiar), which this place basically is. This disappoints me slightly although I love them both, so I go ahead and order. Pricing here is very reasonable, although I expect more food when I order something with Grande in it's name. The food was very good and is on par with Chipotle or Qdoba, but that earns no more than 3 stars in my book. Willy's is solid, but doesn't really raise the bar. However if you're in midtown (I think that is what they call the neighborhood) and you're looking for Mexicana fast, you can't go wrong here.

    Does anybody remember the days when this location used to give you the amount for two burritos, in one? Also they used to load up the chips in your basket! Sure it was too much food, but it was a big draw for me when I first discovered Willy's. That being said, Willy's is still magically delicious and as long as they don't load up you burrito with the liquid remnants of the chicken or beans, you will enjoy the food. This location has one drawback: THE PARKING. During busy hours, you can forget about parking here. Also the lot is very tight, I can't imagine how many wrecks they've had over the years. Pluses: Food, Patio, and Park all right there.

    I love Willy's. Which is strange, because (1) it's technically a fast-food joint, and (2) it serves one of the most done-to-death foods in America: the burrito. But I love it nonetheless. By contrast, I won't go into a Chipotle, and Willy's local competitor Moe's loses me with their vaguely stale tortillas. The fresh ingredients and generous portions are a winner, not to mention the typically fast service. For six bucks you get a dinner-sized portion of food, plus chips and as much salsa as you can ingest. Their salsa is another major win: the chipotle salsa is smoky, rich and consistently tasty. Usually I go for the pork burrito, but I'm also really fond of their tofu -- in fact it's some of the tastiest tofu anywhere, as far as I'm concerned, and many of my vegetarian friends agree. The hot sauce that they leave in bottles on the tables is also tasty, though not particularly spicy by my standards. If you want to skip the (good-quality but not fantastic) flour tortilla, get a burrito in a bowl, which makes for a filling salad-like experience if you add lettuce as an optional ingredient. Usually I hit the location in Peachtree Center, but I have been to most of their locations and the food is pretty consistent across all of them. The results are more contingent on who makes the burrito than where you get it.

    I went once and I was hooked. I am a Chipotle LOVER, but the ingredients here are far fresher and more flavorful than the typical ingredients of a Chipotle burrito (and you thought that was impossible!). They use actual Spanish rice, and while they have all the standard tasty meat choices, they offer more vegetarian-friendly possibilities (like tofu and such) so everybody's happy! The service was quick and efficient, and the staff was very friendly. I even had to ask someone to refill the sweet tea (I'm not a native Southern girl, but I have to say when I go back to the Midwest I will ache for readily available sweet tea), and he quickly obliged, joking and smiling along the way, even. Smiling while refilling the sweet tea? Points, my friend, points. Then he held the door open for my friend and I as we struggled out to the comfy patio with our arms full of our yummy lunches. My biggest sell: Willy's passed the tummy test. Bad Mexican food will quickly and surely give me a tummyache, and I felt nothing but satisfied after this meal. For a fresh, fun, fill-you-up meal for a GREAT price, you should definitely check out Willy's. YUM.

Out of my Big 3 (Willy's, Moe's & Chipotle), Willy's is certainly my favorite. I think the decor of this particular Willy's is so cute and different. If you are one of those battle of the burritos fighter, and normally would never betray your love for your normal burrito joint, just try this Willy's out purely for the atmosphere as a place to rest your feet from walking through the park and playing Frisbee with your friends.

    Hands down the best Willy's in the city. I like that they let you tie your dog up outside on the patio. Their burritos are great, and really not that bad for you. I wish they served breakfast burritos but the location in Peachtree Center downtown is the only one I know of that does (they are amazing too!) This location also serves margaritas by the pitcher, they're strong and really good.

From their array of salsas (pico de gallo, salsa verde, etc.) to their monster-sized burritos, to even their freshly-fried tortilla chips dripping with hot oil, Willy's never fails to satisfy! M absolute favourite part: their house sauce that is found on bottles in the center of every table. I could drink the stuff straight! Not to mention the adorable outdoor atmosphere, and the ability to take your order to-go as you frolic Piedmont Park next door.

    I used to be (and still am) a Moe's enthusiast, but since moving across the street Willy's has really been growing on me. I like the guacamole, the spicy chicken option is nice, and for whatever reason I think I like their cheese more than Moe's. Moe's certainly still has a warm place in my heart, but Willy's at least lives up to them in every respect!

    Willy's is good for fast & cheap, & of all the quickie-taco places that have sprung up, Willy's is by far the best for veggie options. My staple is 2 soft shell regular tacos with tofu (marinated in orange & ginger, I might add), pinto beans, salsa, & guac. Their standard salsa (chipolte) beats the hell out of Moe's. And they don't yell at you when you come in. My patner once had a piece of chicken slipped in with the tofu, so watch them make it if you're veg*n. Their parking lot is way too small & hard to get in & out of. Aside from that, this one's a winner.

    As many have said, I too love Willy's - a California-Mex, not Atlanta Mex, style taco/burrito joint. A note to Naoya W. (7/26/09). The charolita is actually their closest to authentic Mexican menu item! However I have found that different Willy's don't always serve it properly. e.g. the one on Cumberland does it right the one on Paces doesn't have a clue. Perhaps this was the problem with the location you went to. It is suppose to be a light, refreshing taco. Next time try it on a flour tortilla, beef, with only a little bit of the slaw, some onions, a good helping of the tomatillo sauce, extra cilantro and some of the minced jalapenos with a solid squeeze of lime. I'll be eating one of those at lunch today!

    Absolutely the best Willy's location for people watching. Especially during any type of festival happening at Piedmont. Ate there with my aunt without knowing there was a big event happening for the 2008 Black Gay Pride festival and hilarity ensued.

    Living within walking distance to this particular location, I frequent Willy's quite a bit. The patio is a big draw, not to mention being located at the doorstep of the city's premier park. But, the consistently solid food brings me back again and again. I just can't get enough of their burrito. I just have not gotten into the food at the other Atlanta chain burrito restaurants. Maybe Raging Burrito and Twisted Taco are a step up?

    While not the best of burritoes I've ever had, ( I grew up in San Antonio and live in San Francisco now), I will say that this is the best, fast burrito that you can find off of buford highway. Definitely try the barbeque pork, most people don't know that it's a possible meat, but it makes the best tasting burritoe. What makes Willy's so much fun is the great patio. The boy-cruising here during good weather is hard to beat. If you have a dog, double bonus. Tie the dog's leash to the metal fence and watch every pedestrian walking down Piedmont into the park baby-talk and pet your pooch. If there's a line, don't worry. It moves very fast.

    Willy's is just plain good. i mean it's SO good! always fresh and fast. by far my favorite place in Atlanta to get a quick California style burrito to go! they have a salsa bar that you can put in little to-go containers- i am not crazy about their cheese dip but you won't even need any! the burritos are very filling! you can also get the burrito in a bowl without the tortilla if you are watching carbs. i find Willy's to be better in quality (like meat) than Moe's or Chipotle and def. not as salty as those other places. YUM! oh.. i also love that they have fresh cut up lemons and limes. i always grab tons to squeeze in my diet coke and to put on my chips for a little zing!

    Right on the park, this Willy's is great. I love the food, it is cheap and tastes delicious. Also, since you are enjoying the food at the park, you might want to get one of the frozen Margaritas, they look innocuous, but they have a bite. They will definitely get you where you need to go, that is, if that is your goal! My personal favorite is the chicken burrito, but they have a little of everything, and this tex mex is great. Definitely try the sauce that comes in those bottles that sit on every table, that stuff is the nectar of the gods! The only downside to this location, is when it gets busy, it gets busy. Be prepared to wait a bit, and be rushed through the actual food line... try not to get pissy, because you are about to have great food!

    Willy's is a thriving chain in Atlanta, but the one on Piedmont is by far my favorite. The spacious patio is right beside the lovely Piedmont Park. Another great thing about Willy's is that no matter how crowded the restaurant may be, the line moves quickly. This is ideal if you want to sit and eat but aren't in the mood to wait on the long lines at competing midtown restaurants. While most people go for the burritos, I recommend opening your mind to the quesadillas and salads, which are also delicious. The ingredients are consistently fresh and tasty. The price is reasonable as well. I recommend Willy's all the way.

    The first burrito masters to really make a dent in Atlanta (RIP Tortillas on Ponce). The Will's chain is an independently owned and operatred company with many immitators (Moe's anyone?). Willy's is the first and still the best. The simple menu of burritos, tacos and quesadillas is Mexican food for Gringos by Gringos, and Atlantans like it that way.

    I love this place. They have very good and large burritos made (while you watch) with very fresh ingredients. YUM! I could live on this stuff, but I'd be as big as a house! When the weather is nice, the outdoor deck is a nice place to watch midtown suanter by.

    I LOVE WILLY'S! Being from California and knowing what REAL Mexican food taste like, Willy's is definitely at the top of the list. Big fat burrito and with all the necessary fillings at NO EXTRA CHARGE, unlike Chipolte. Chips included and your choice of salsa that you can help yourself to at the salsa bar. Burrito Bowls WITH the tortilla. SPANISH RICE which is what your supposed to use in Mexican food, NOT WHITE RICE, like other places. Their meats are seasoned to perfection and all the ingredients are fresh. Worth every penny!

    I've lived in the area for a while and finally got around to stopping by Willy's for lunch. As an avid Chipotle fan, I wanted to make as straight of a comparison as possible, so I transferred my order to Willy's as best as I could: burrito bowl with steak, black beans, cheese, corn salsa, pico de gallo, sour cream, and lettuce. The guacamole looked good, so I had them throw some of that on top, too. Everything tasted a lot fresher and lighter than Chipotle. Nothing was as spicy, which disappointed me a little bit. Speaking of spicy, I also tried the three salsas at the salsa bar. If you have a habanero salsa, I expect more spice. In fact, none of the salsas were spectacular. The chipotle salsa was the best, with more of a kick than the others. The biggest difference was the chips. Willy's has the standard thin, little salt, "will this thing break if I put salsa on it?" type of chip. I've got my leftovers in the fridge, and I'm looking forward to having it for dinner. Nothing really blew me away, but it's good enough that I'll be back.

    It is a great place overall. The food is fresh and made to order. They have beer and a great outdoor terrace to eat before, during, or after one of the many festivals in Piedmont Park. The price is also very good. All the Willy's around town give similar service and value.

    It's just another chain like Moe's or Chipotle - not at all a place that I would frequent. The food is prepared, then stuffed into plastic containers where it dries out completely, then it is packed into a tortilla that is soggy from the extreme steaming it got beforehand. After that, dried overcooked rice is added as well as terrible produce. Not to mention the way all of these chain mexican restaurants pack their burritos so miserably - first they make it ungodly huge that no human can take a bite out of properly, then the ingredients are all lined up on the burrito in a row, so each bite you only get one of the ingredients. One bite is just rice, the next is just guac, then just meat. In no way can anyone get a bite that includes all the ingredients. Yeah, its clean, its quick, and makes you want to like it because everyone else does, but in reality, in your own mind, its terrible.
