Ordered delivery from Wild Ginger, and was very pleased with the food and the service! My massaman curry was as good as anywhere, and the pad se ew was very tasty as well. "Medium spicy" definitely had a kick. Will definitely eat here again!

Delivery: First of all I just want to say that this was the fastest delivery I've ever had. I ordered at 1:35 on Eat24 and the meal was here, at my table, at 1:55. The delivery guy was very nice as well. There is a $2 delivery charge in case you order delivery. Food: I ordered the Shrimp Cheese Roll and the Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai. The Shrimp Cheese Roll was phenomenal. It tastes like Crab Rangoon, but heavier on the crab part and lighter on the pastry part. Overall it was very good. The Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai on the other hand left something to be desired. The chicken and shrimp were both dry and the overall meal was a little flavorless. I also asked for hot and instead got mild with a side of hot sauce; would have been okay but there wasn't enough hot sauce. Overall I'd definitely retry the appetizer, but next time I order in definitely switching entrees. Summary: Probably wouldn't recommend this place to a friend until I try it again and see what they have to offer besides Pad Thai. Also if you plan on following their delivery's expected time (most likely and hour) you may want to just go ahead and throw that out the window, which is definitely a positive to me.

I went here a few years ago when they were new. The food was not memorable and I haven't been back since. I came back here because some friends wanted to meet here and I frankly forgot about this restaurant until I was actually inside. It has a nice, pretty interior. Very cozy. And they were very accommodating for a large group of 12 plus some rowdy kids. :) Their menu has expanded a lot. They even have a sushi menu. We did family style and order 9 different dishes (rice, noodle, fish, curry dishes) from the Thai menu to share. Everything was ok, flavors wise it's still not memorable. We didn't try the sushi menu. The one dish I do want to write about was the one I ate the most: the tom yum noodle soup. Think of it as well, your typical tom yum soup but now add pho noodle to it. The soup has pork & shrimp in it as well. I enjoyed this dish. It was just what I needed on a cold, winter night.

Just moved to the area and am in search of my standard go-to's for certain types of food - Thai being one. Wild Ginger seemed to have decent reviews so I decided try it out for some carry out on the way home one night, and start with a standard Chicken Pad Thai. I was pretty disappointed. I mean, it wasn't horrible, but it was very "Meh.. Very little taste. I asked for it extra spicy, but it was barely spicy at all. I added the sauce they gave me with it, hoping it would help, but it really didn't. I'm not sure what that sauce was, but it didn't taste like Thai at all. I've had better Pad Thai from a food court. I'm really tempted to give this place another chance and try something else, especially seeing the 4 and 5 star reviews. The food was also ready quickly and reasonably priced. But... no. I did not find the food to be enjoyable at all, and while there are other Thai dishes I enjoy, I'm going to need to find a place that I can actually have their Pad Thai.

Great service & food. Recently, the lunch staff recommended the curry salmon special, citing the value over dinner time pricing. It was delicious & affordable.

This place continues to amaze me. Just when you thought the last meal was the best they go over the top and into outer space. It seems like we find new things on the menu each time we go that are consistently fresh and delicious. The servers are fantastic as well Lyta and Rose were attentive and very sweet. We will definitely have to get back more often. On this visit we tried the ginger tea ,similar to Jamaican home-made ginger beer, and that was amazing then we tried the curry egg rolls which were also very unique and delicious. I had previously given them a four because they would not deliver to me but I cannot hold this against them now. I plan to make this place a more frequented stop.

Why didn't I check my own tip that I had left for this place? I ordered from them several times before and also dined in but didn't ready my own tip. What was that, you say? The chicken is dry so avoid the chicken. Okay, okay..! Note taken. No more chicken! As I mentioned above, I've visited wild ginger several times. I've dined in a couple times, ordered good to-go several times, and finally has food delivered to me today. Thankfully, they deliver if you live within a 3 mile radius and order more than $15 food. You can pay with a credit card as well. And when the delivery man arrives, you can add tip onto the credit card if you wish. Their to-go packaging is the very nice firm plastic rectangular dishes. They are nice to keep afterwards. :) So onto their dishes..... Chicken Pad Thai - first things first. Probably don't want to order chicken cause every time I've ordered the chicken has been dry and tough. Their Pad Thai isn't anything spectacular. It's fine if you need a fix. Their sauce tasted a little different tonight though if I must admit - just a little off. I think other times have been okay. Nothing memorable here! Chicken green curry - their green curry was a little spicier than you would normally find at most restaurants, which for us was a good thing. Another thing I noticed about this was that they had an eggplant in there. Not sure if it was by accident or normal but that was a nice surprise! :) they had a good bit of variety in the curry such as carrots as well. I certainly enjoyed this. Similar to the above, I might order it with a different protein. Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles) with tofu - this dish also had a lot of veggies in it which is a great thing. It could have used some more flavors, I felt it was a little bland. But the great thing was the veggies. Something I haven't seen in pad Kee Mao is tomatoes. However, I saw a good chunk of tomato in here which threw me off (in a good way)! The tofu were rectangular deep fried and were fine. Maybe I should stick with tofu going forward? But I LOVE tofu. So if you don't like that deep fried tofu with thick skin and spongy like interior then it may not be for you! I've also has their masaman curry, pad see ew, and a couple dishes in previous visits but can't recall so I'll leave the detailed reviews here from my most recent visits. I'm pretty sure the other dishes were similar. In conclusion, I am a fan of this restaurant because they make it so easy to order (call, dine in, or order online)! And since they deliver that's a huge advantage. However their food (at least their main Thai foods are okay). Their menu is so expansive I need to try some of the other dishes but since it's a Thai restaurant, I'll probably stick with their Thai offerings (as opposed to their sushi, pho! And others). This place is on the expensive side but surely they need to compete with Simply Thai which is only a mile or so away from this restaurant. On dining in, I've been during lunch and picked up during dinner. It seems they have a decent crowd during lunch. And their dinner crowd is okay, but they do have a lot of pick-ups. Service was okay the few times I've dined in. I'm glad I at least have something nearby! And one that delivers. I'm sure I'll be going back at some point in time.

Wonderful service and great food. Shame they Dont get more business because of there obscure location. Would for sure recommend there delicious sticky rice coconut ice cream with mango. Plus they have so many deals between yelp and belly app you can't go wrong . I will be returning again

I dined here tonight with my parents, and after they mentioned they had been here once before and weren't huge fans, I scoured yelp reviews hoping to find some good recommendations on dishes. Per the yelp reviews, we ordered the wild thai ginger curry roll to start, and shared the sweet cashew rice dish with chicken, and the green curry with beef. I was a fan of all three of the selections (thanks yelpers!). The curry roll seemed pretty standard for a roll appetizer. The sweet cashew dish was my favorite and was the most spicy of the two. The green curry had good flavor, but I preferred the chicken over the beef. The service was good, as our drinks were never empty. The prices seemed a little higher than some thai restaurants, but we used a groupon so that helped. I would recommend trying this place if you are looking for some good thai food.

This place doesn't look like much from the outside (former fast food place) but the decor was casual and nice inside. Our server was friendly and our food arrived quickly. We were a party of four and we all enjoyed our food. I had the green curry salmon which was tasty and huge! The green curry was spicy ( just on the edge of runny nose and sweating spicy) and the piece of salmon was large.

There some excellent flavors being produced at Wild Ginger and we are eager to explore the menu further. Our usual Asian take-out restaurants have been found wanting lately, so we finally decided to try Wild Ginger. We have passed WG numerous times leaving the Mad Italian and read the good reviews posted on Yelp. WG has an efficient online ordering system. I think its one of the better online menu systems I have seen! We tried the Penang Curry as a barometer. Did not ask for "hot" after having mucus-inducing foods at other Thai restaurants. The Curry turned out to have excellent flavor. Just a tad more heat may have helped but it was not a concern. Tom Yum soup was a winner. It had a tasty, dark broth with ample shrimp and pieces of chicken. This food may be upped to five stars upon trying more menu items, maybe even their sushi.

I actually think this might be the best Thai food I have ever had. I am not sure if that is saying much since I have only had Thai in TN, GA, CA and NY. But it was delicious. I wish I could continue to go there! Too bad I do not live nearby.

I got a great Panang curry and my dad got a tasty Avocado Shrimp curry. His was good but I really thought mine was impressive. Very creamy, lots of coconut milk, and the spice came from fresh peppers rather than the dried red pepper flakes you'll see other places. Overall a surprisingly good dinner since we selected the restaurant virtually at random.

There are a couple of things you expect out of a restaurant, but number one on the list has to be decent food. What 'decent' means depends on the context: I expect more out of Wahoo than Waffle House. Unfortunately, Wild Ginger failed this basic test: the food was bad. I've seen 4 and 5 star ratings for this restaurant. I'm not going to question other reviewer's tastes, so my conclusion is that the kitchen staff on duty this Saturday night were not competent. In a better restaurant I might blame the lead chef, but here I have to blame the owners: there was clearly no one in the kitchen to say that what was being served wasn't up to par. When a restaurant has $20+ entrees on the menu, as Wild Ginger does, you should expect a level of consistent expertise. You should be able to go in any night and have a good meal. I ordered a standard Thai item: pineapple fried rice with pork. The rice was overcooked. Fried rice should be a little crispy; this was soft. Worse than that, the dish was bland. During the meal, I kept thinking 'This chicken doesn't taste very good'; it was only when I left that I remembered that I had ordered pork. It's pretty bad when you can't even recognize the meat in your meal. I really wanted to like Wild Ginger. The ambiance is fine for a restaurant set inside an old fast-food setting. The Thai iced tea and coffee were good. The wait staff were polite and attentive. But the result was the most disappointing meal I've had this year.

Didn't have a great experience here when I last visited. I love Thai food and this was below my expectations especially based on how many diners were in the restaurant during my visit. The Tom Kha (coconut soup) was cloyingly sweet and had no real flavor base behind it. The mushrooms and chicken tasted like they had been thrown in the pot minutes before serving so they were pretty bland on the flavor scale as well. For my entree I got the pad thai (not very thai of me I know) and the presentation was sloppy at best. It looked like my food has been taken out of a vat and thrown on my plate. The food was lukewarm and pretty blah. No stand out hits of flavor or exciting items here. They have a very large menu which they've just added a separate sushi menu to. I wonder if the amount of items they carry contributes to the lack of flavor. Maybe they could condense it down and do a few house dishes really well instead of trying to do everything just so-so. With so many wonderful food options in my neighborhood and Buford Highway just a five minute drive away, I'll look for other places to cure my Thai cravings.

Very nice. Don't let the exterior fool you! This place is a bit "out of the way" and I hope that doesn't work against them. One thing that stands out was the odd "poofs" that they handed out like other restaurants use bread. I've never had anything like it and it went well with several sauces. I'm going to focus on one element of my meal - the soup. I haven't had a bowl this full of flavor in awhile. Large, firm mushrooms, large tender bits of chicken. I will definitely be back even with it being a bit out of the way.

I used to frequent Wild Ginger all the time when I worked in the area; and when I found myself driving by and growing hungrier with each passing second, I decided to give it another go. The service is still as friendly and nice as usual and they quickly took my order of shrimp pad Thai w/ extra egg. The server actually even asked me if I wanted the egg scrambled into the noodles or fried on top (like bibimbap style). I was surprised because in all of my years ordering pad Thai I was never offered this option before! And now that I think back on it, I may try the fried egg on top next time. After I paid for the food, I checked in and lo and hehold, there was a yelp offer for 15% off my total purchase. Since I had already paid, I decided to splurge (calorie wise) and grab a large Thai ice tea. I asked the new cashier if I could use the discount and he said yes so I pressed the button for the voucher. I was super excited to eat my meal, so I grabbed it and left. The pad Thai, while still pretty good compared to other Thai places, was not as fresh as if I were to have eaten at the restaurant. Afterwards, while cleaning out my purse, I saw that the receipt for the tea did not include the discount and I was charged full price for it. Now, I'm not saying that the tea wasn't worth a measly $4, because it was indeed good. But my gripe is that, don't tell me I'm getting a discount and then deny me that said discount. Now, I've wasted the discount that I could have used for another meal there.

We have been coming here for a few years now and my wife and I feel it has consistently been the best tasting thai in the perimeter or Gwinnett areas. We make the drive here routinely for the curry (all are delicious, but my personal favorites are Massaman and Penang), pad kee mao, and spicy basil fried rice. They start you off with fish crackers while you wait, and the service is always friendly and prompt. They do make a point to keep your glasses filled, so you won't be waiting around for a refill at all. When you order food here, be advised that it is authentic. In other words, it is extremely spicy but it still has a medley of flavors aside from just heat. A lot of other thai restaurants seem to only have flavor or heat and never both at once. This is definitely not the case here at Wild Ginger. We have not had a bad entree off of their thai selection on the menu, but we have not had any sushi to comment on it. Definitely try any noodle, rice, or curry dish here and if you can't handle spice, remember to specify mild. If you can, the thai hot is amazing for most every dish. We haven't had better pad kee mao, Massaman curry, or basil fried rice anywhere in the Atlanta area! The combination of great food with prompt and friendly service is why this is my wife and I's go to place for thai food and why we make the drive from Lawrenceville regularly.

Yes, I love this place. Yes, I'll be back again and again. It's a quaint little cozy place with friendly wait staff and looks that caters to a lot of regulars. The food is awesome. I had the Thai Fried Rice and it was yummy. I love when I fall for something new. Now I just need to go again so I can really be convinced of its greatness. And, oh the Curry dishes are devine as well..

The restaurant was full, that's always a good sign. Staff was friendly. My Thai Spring roll was very good too, not soggy or oily. My panang shrimp on the other hand was very bland curry with bland shrimp with an over abundance of peppers, albeit fresh peppers. They were of the sweet, not hot variety.

I am so in love with this place! Came here for a Dinner on a Saturday. Heads up: on Saturdays, they dont open until 5 pm. But anyway, this place is Wonderful! Food, service, and price well deserves all five stars: I ordered Red Curry with chicken and requested for it to be extra spicy and YOWZA! My mouth and soul was on fire, and I loved it! Now, you may have to fork over an extra buck for extra rice since their dish is plentiful, but heck, at a total of $12 for my dish, this is a small price to pay for a lovely meal. The chicken is white meat and not those cheap cuts that you usually get in some indian curry restaurants. (sorry guys) The basil was fresh, the veggies were fresh, and all in all, one fresh and ultra delicious plate. Hubby ordered Panang Curry, and although this dish was suspiciously similar in taste, it was all good. It was different enough from the Red Curry to be enjoyed. Again, everything tasted fresh and you can really taste the love in their dish. The complementary chips (shrimp or some kind of sea food chips) they give you at the beginning of the meal is a nice simple touch that sets the mood just right. Now, from the outside, this place is quite unassuming, but the decor inside is, just like their food: Simple, neat, but full of love and flavor. Service was wonderful as well. They all made us feel at home and we were very well attended to. All in all, I highly recommend! I look forward to coming back here again!

The thing about Atlanta is that there are many average Thai restaurants, but only a few really good ones. Unfortunately for Wild Ginger, it falls in the former category. The food will for the most part satisfy you, but not have you rushing back, or promoting it with your friends and loved ones. The wait time for food was longer than anticipated, especially from an Asian restaurant. The prices are also higher than your average Thai Restaurant.

I have been a patron at Wild Ginger for about 5 years now. My personal trainer took me one day after a good session at the gym. It was my reward for a good week in the gym and helping him pay his bills. Anyway, this place is awesome! It has some of the best Thai food in Atlanta in my opnion. They also have sushi. You must try the Crab Cheese Rolls. These little puppies are expensive at $4 for 2 of them but man they're good!!! Hmmm, cheeese! Here lately I noticed they have been running more and more special promotions so check for them on Groupon and Half Depot. If you dine in, the Crab Chips are pretty good to snack on while you wait. Their hours are WEIRD so prepare yourself and avoid disappointing your pallete. My man Victor here is real cool too. He's good with faces ....or...Im just a regular. Food for thought, but stop thinking about it and go already. Your still reading? Go!

How could I not write a review on the place that put me on to the deliciousness that is Panang Curry chicken?! I'm pretty sure that this place was my first Thai experience outside of Tin Drum. I've been here several times and they often offer some really good Groupon and Scoutmob deals. The crackers (not sure what they're called but they look similar to rice cakes) are really tasty! We usually have them bring out several while we wait for the actual food. I've tried 2 entrees things here: The Panang curry chicken and the soft shell crab dinner. I've also has the crab and cheese rolls. The Panang curry chicken is definitely my favorite. I always try to eat half of it and bring the rest home but its just too good. I like to pour it over my white rice like a gravy. The chicken is delectable, the curry sauce is usually really flavorful and spicy. Writing this review is making me want to hop in my car and make my way out there but fortunately I'm pretty sure they are closed. The soft shelled crab was cool if you're into that. I think mentally I couldn't get passed the thought that I was eating the shell and legs of a crab. The staff here is really friendly and attentive. In my experience, they are open to answering questions for any first timers and for those that have been going but want to try something different. I would and have definitely recommend this spot to others. The prices are very reasonable even if you don't use an app deal. *1/13/14* had to update my review. I really love this place and I think it deserves 5 stars instead of 4.

I was so excited by the menu offered by Wild Ginger. There I was in a hotel with no restaurant attached and no car. There was no where within walking distance. I checked Yelp for restaurants in the area that delivered and the menu here offered some really different options. I ordered off their section "Thai with a Twist" - Thai Seafood Jambalaya with Jasmine rice and bottled water. They told me about 45 minutes, but not 20 minutes went by and the food was delivered. The good - the shrimp was excellent and the vegetables were crisp and tasty. The bad - the scallops were okay, but frankly, I'm not sure if they were scallops or formed seafood scraps. The ugly - the squid was very under cooked and very rubbery and the rice was overcooked and mushy. Perhaps it would have been a different experience if I'd eaten there. Unfortunately, I took advantage of the delivery service they feature on their menu and their website. Based on the great reviews, I can only assume the delivery isn't great.

This place was alright. I had the shrimp fried rolls, which had very little shrimp but was seasoned well. Had the duck entree' which I did not enjoy at all and so instead got the beef pho, which was different from other Thai restaurants I've been too. The meat was already in the soup and so it wasn't as tender as I would have liked it if it were raw at the table. We also got the fried ice cream, which I did not enjoy at all. It was a big chunk of fried pound cake with about 3 teaspoons of vanilla ice cream inside. We did however get the coconut cake and that was the best part of the entire experience! I would come back to this place. The staff was amazingly welcoming and attentive to our needs and I loved that it was a family run spot.

So glad I have a good Thai go-to a couple miles from my house. The staff is friendly, and they have a very large menu of items to choose from. They offer sushi, as well as traditional Thai dishes. I almost always get the massaman curry with vegetables. You can also order online, and they deliver!! How awesome is that?! For me, very. They don't mind if you answer the door in your pajamas (or, so I've heard).

This has quickly become my husband and mine's go to take out spot. It is right down the street from our house and has some of the best Thai food we've had. We always order the same thing: the panang curry and the Thai basil fried rice. The panang is some of the best we've had, and I order panang everywhere I go. The one complaint I have about it is that the chicken (or whatever meat you get) is rather sparse, but the delicious sauce is delicious over rice. The Thai basil fried rice is pretty spicy. The waitress always say it comes medium...but if that is medium I would be afraid to see what hot and Thai hot are. I usually ask for them to mild it up a bit. The portion is HUGE. Enough for my husband and I to share and then have leftovers. Perhaps we will deviate from our usual orders and try something else, but why mess with perfection? I will note that they do offer sushi and when I see others order it, it looks good. I might have to give it a try in the future.

I've only gotten delivery/takeout from Wild Ginger so I don't know what the sit down experience would be. The food however, is delicious. It is more on the authentic Thai side so it is going to be a lot more spicy/flavorful than your standard run-of-the mill asian food (ex. what you'd find at Krogers). Many dishes have curry as well. The only thing I DID NOT like was their version of pho but hey - this isn't a Vietnamese joint so I should have known better. All in all, I continue to come back as their food is good (and spicy!!! which I love!!!).

I ordered the Shrimp Cheese Roll and Pad See Ewe with pork, and they were both pretty tasty. The shrimp cheese roll was like a crabmeat rangoon, but instead of being wrapped in a wonton skin, it's wrapped in an egg roll skin. The pad see ewe was smoky-tasting and almost just right - it was a little too salty for my taste. They also gave me some free shrimp chips when I asked for them. I don't know if that's standard or not, but it was nice either way. I ordered through grubhub, and they delivered about 20-25 mins under the expected time. The delivery guy was very courteous. Will be ordering again soon...as in, I just ordered again 15 mins ago. EDIT: And *this* time, my food was delivered in 26 minutes! I should note that I give a 15% tip too. Awesome!

Good food.. I liked it. We always order basil fried rice which is really good. However, as a caution for vegetarians - All curries/soups have shrimp paste except one veggie soup. My friend had to return tom-yum soup after discovering that it has shrimp paste.

Full disclosure: I did not eat the food here. Instead, I ended up leaving because of the treatment the manager gave me. TL;DR: the manager wouldn't comp a $3 charge to make a $40 sale because "that's how the menu is listed." Hiding behind the menu--he claimed he wrote it--instead of making a decision to support customer service rubbed me the wrong way, and I won't be returning. We sat down and were greeted in an average manner (no smile, but cordial). We heard about the special from the waitress, and one of our party (three of us) ordered Thai tea, and apparent it was delicious! My issue was with the wording on the menu. Noodle dishes (I'm not sure of other items) are advertised with "choice" plus all of the other items within the bowl of noodles "Choice" means meat or meat substitute: tofu, chicken, beef, etc. However, each meat has a cost. What is strange, though, is that each dish has a price including the word "choice" under the price. I was confused by this, as I thought the separate "choice" menu was for additional meat. I asked, and apparently noodle dishes come without any meat at all, and meat must be paid for. I questioned why "choice" was advertised under the price for the dish but is an additional cost. The manager said that "that's how the menu is listed." I noted that, although it's listed that way, it isn't really how the dishes are being advertised, that the meat is an additional cost. He said "all meat costs money." Now, I've never been offered pho without meat, so I thought this was strange, but I accepted that's how the menu was written. I asked that, because it's advertised as with meat, could we work something out, like I pay for half the cost of adding chicken (which was only a $1 more) or something. He said no; that's how the menu is listed. He did not try to align with me on my perspective and chock it up to a misunderstanding we could work with; instead, he hid behind the wording of the menu, which is not what a manager should do as a leader of a restaurant (I've worked in service for years). I felt the customer service is lacking, and I didn't feel like I was working with a reasonable person who would attempt to build a bridge to a customer. The food may be good, but the treatment from leadership made me feel like I was trying to be shady, and I wasn't. So, I won't be returning.

It's our go-to for comfort Thai food. I have had spectacularly awesome Thai before (think Busera in Washington, DC) but Wild Ginger has a good menu and I love their delivery service - never late. We usually order for home delivery. The restaurant is nice too, I don't know I never saw it too crowded, which is surprising given the food and ambiance are quite good. I love the Jungle Curry, husband loves the Basil Fried Rice. Their red and green curries are great too. The steamed fish is very good.

As much as I frequent this area, I was surprised to find Wild Ginger tucked alongside 285. To start off, they give you these white foam looking chips to eat, which taste like they were cooked in fish grease (a problem if you're allergic to seafood like I am), but they were on the house so there's that. One of the things I noticed while we were checking out the menu is my staples were missing here (cashew nut chicken or drunken noodle). No matter, I tried the pineapple fried rice with chicken and vegetable spring rolls as an appetizer. The spring rolls had good flavor, as well as the sauce provided with them. I liked the presentation of the rolls (and really, the dishes in general) too. The pineapple fried rice was a pretty large serving, and I needed a to go box. Pineapple wasn't overpowering and I was also happy that there was an option to sub brown rice for white ($1.50). They seem pretty accustomed to people coming in with scoutmob, which we happily used, to get the cost down quite a bit. Staff was kind of slow, as it took a few minutes for them to notice we were ready to order, although once are orders were in place, it took less than 10 minutes to bring them out. Parking can also be a little tight, and this was a wednesday night, but there is parking in the back. All in all, this restaurant was okay. Not the best I had by a wide margin, but you're definitely not wasting your money here either.

Having read the reviews ahead of time, I was determined to have an open minded dining experience. Sadly, I've had better. Also, it was a special evening. So, I really should have thought this selection through. We ordered a variety of sushi rolls; Philly Salmon Roll, Cucumber Roll and California Roll. We also ordered a hot dish; Pad Thai Chicken. The Cucumber Rolls were...rice, Nori and...cucumbers. That was a little disappointing. We could have made it ourselves at home. Before ordering the Philly Salmon Roll, the server stated that all fish items were raw unless we ordered the Tempura (fried) dishes. This was incorrect, as the Philly Salmon Roll was cooked Smoked Salmon. So, it would have helped if the servers were better informed. The California Rolls were average. They simply lacked proper preparation. Now, the Pad Thai Chicken was the worst. The rice noodles were over cooked and the chicken was rubbery and dry. Naturally, we left a tip. But, we probably wont go back. My date was the best part of the evening, but I could hardly thank Wild Ginger, LOL. Oh, and the bathrooms were not clean. Large flies were flying in the dining area, so we had to protect our dishes. Very disappointing.

I was not impressed with the food. I had a Red Curry Chicken. It was alright. I have definitely had better Thai. My friend that I went with had the Submarine? Sushi. It was okay. Ive been plenty of other places and had better sushi. Maybe what we chose was just okay and we need to try other things. One thing that was great was the crackers that were soft and spicy. Not over powering spicy but very light and spicy. Worth trying.I wouldn't recommend this place for Thai. Maybe I will have to try again another day.

I came here for mother's day and had a fantastic time! I had called ahead to make a reservation but the restaurant wasn't super busy. We were seated by a friendly server and drinks were served promptly. We order mostly waters and a Thai ice coffee, which was really good. Just the right amount of sweet. We ordered beef fried rice, green curry, and some spicy eggplant dish. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS. The green curry looked and tasted more like yellow curry but it was still good. The vegetables were crisp and fresh and the meat was tender and juicy. Best thing was the fried rice. So much flavor and just the right amount of heat. It was one of the few times I didn't need sriracha or hot sauce. Also, any Thai restaurant that has sriracha gets a star just for that. I usually call ahead to make sure places have it or else it's a no go. When the bill came I used my Yelp check in for buy two entrees get the third free and had no problem. Entire staff was very friendly and unlike many businesses didn't give me attitude for the discount. When my family was outside the restaurant taking a picture, our server even came outside without us asking to take a picture of us. So nice! Overall, great food, great service, great price. Will be sure to come here again!

I have found a new regular spot when i am in the mood for good Thai food! Wild Ginger is an easy place to fall in "like" with. It has a casual ambiance, yet with enough class to make for a nice evening out. The service is a bit slow, but nonetheless it is friendly and sincere. The Pad Thai I ordered was done very well. I asked for it to be made spicy, and the flavors and heat were perfect, leaving me licking my numbed lips for more! My friend also ordered a noodle dish, so I am definitely going to return to try the curry dishes. While only my first visit to Wild Ginger, I get the impression that this is the perfect place to go when you want a predictably good Thai experience. I will definitely be back! By the way, did you know that after ginger was first introduced in Europe (approximately 800 AD) it ranked second to pepper as a spice for centuries. (just an obvious attempt to get a "useful" vote!) :D

Gave this place a try since there was a Groupon deal, and I wasn't as happy as I wanted to be. The place is definitely overpriced compared to other Thai places, and it's not as good as other Thai places. The Tom Yum soup was a major disappointment. It lacked the essential flavors that Tom Yum soup usually carries. It was more spicy and peppery than anything else. I ordered the Pad Thai spicy, and I ended up getting medium which was disappointing, and the taste was pretty average. Nothing about it stuck out. The Penang curry was good, especially the day after, but nothing about the entire meal stuck out and made us want to come back. We kept thinking of Thai Norcross and Sesame Basil, and preferred eating there. However, it was worth a shot. Don't have any intentions on coming back though.

This is place is so good! I went with a couple of my friends. I ordered Pad Thai and they both ordered the Panang Curry (One with chicken, the other with steak). Pad Thai: I love Pad Thai and I usually judge a Thai restaurant by their Pad Thai. Its a fairly easy dish to make, so in my opinion, if a Thai restaurant can't make a good Pad Thai, they're in trouble. This place made a pretty darn good Pad Thai! I'd give it a 4 out of 5. Its not too sweet, not too fishy, and it comes with chicken AND shrimp! Panang Curry: After my Pad Thai, one of my friends wasn't able to finish her curry so I, being the black hole that I am, finished it for her. It wasn't as good as they were hyping it up to be, but it was still worth the time and money! It was much sweeter than I expected. Make sure you like basil, cause you can definitely taste it in the curry! Don't be one of those people and ask for it without basil. If you don't like basil, you shouldn't be in a Thai restaurant. Other things: Right when you sit down, they give you these fried cracker things. They're airy, spicy, and salty, but really good for a free appetizer. Free refills on the crackers too! Oh, another thing that's free is more rice. Its always a pathetic when a restaurant charges for more rice..... This place is legit! Check it out!

I've passed by this place so many times on the way to work, but I was never really attracted by their exterior decor. However, one of our neighbors told us it was one of their favorite Thai places so we decided to give it a try. We were so fooled! Do not let the exterior appearance hinder you from coming into restaurant! They have pretty authentic Thai food. I always get their Tom Ka Kai soup -- pretty rich, but so flavorful! Their Pad Thai is also one of the best around Atlanta. I've had my share of really bad pad thai's....ones doused in fish sauce, ones that are too sweet, ones that are dried out noodles, but this was just perfect.

The menu is huge!! Something for everyone. I had the 'refreshing breezy sushi' (dbl chk) sushi for appetizer and penang lamb as my entree. I really enjoyed it. The sushi was indeed refreshing. I thought the portion was small but with the rice, it was enough to satisfy my hunger. The ambiance is warm and enjoyable. The service was adequate. Also, 5 star for creativity. I will definitely come back. There's so much variety.

Another "hole in the wall" joint that delivers! Plain looking both inside and out, but the food is SO worth it. the Royal Pad Thai was delicious! So full of flavor, and made with fresh shrimp with a nice crunch. This made it well worth the trip! I'll be back to try more!

Wild Ginger really saved the day when I needed delivery and couldn't make it out to pick something up. They were prompt and the food was delicious. I accidentally ordered the spring rolls when I meant to order the basil rolls, but they were still delicious. I also ordered the Tom Kha Kai Soup which was great for the nasty winter weather and my cold.

This restaurant really disappointed me, I order food to be deliver at 9:20 and didn't received my order. Then they have the nerve to call me 45 mins late after they were supposed to arrived, to ask me if I still want the food. Of course I cancel. Never again!!!!

Amazing pad Thai Nice waiter and helpful. Me and a coworker came here to use our trusty scoutmob. And something we have noticed (being avid scoutmob users) is that SOME establishments get irritated when you mention scoutmob. NOT all places..just SOME. Well not this place!! They recommended what we should order so we can stay within the scoutmob deal...and the waiter was VERY helpful. Apparently this place is known for Pad Thai. and THEY DELIVERED. I am not a typical Pad Thai person, in fact I usually hate it. But this was just awesome. We also got a Ginger Chicken which was spicy and delicious. Also they give you a nice pre-treat, a crunchy delicious spring roll :) TIPS: Get Pad Thai. Get something spicy like Ginger Chicken. Share with a friend. Ask for two extra plates. Be prepared to pay the price for the spices later? I will be back.

Yelp won't let me save this without a rating, otherwise I'd leave it blank until I try Wild Ginger again, and here's why: Last night I called in and ordered 2 appetizers: fried tofu and spring rolls, and one entree for pick up. Upon arriving 30 minutes after calling in my order, I came to find that my food had been mistakenly given to an earlier customer. Okay, no biggie. Annoying, but not the end of the world. I'm told the order is being re-made and should be out shortly. Apologies and a 20% discount. I'm okay for the moment. 10 minutes, go by. Then 20. Coming up on 30 minutes and the owner/hostess, Janet, can see I am annoyed. A full hour after I called in my order and I'm still waiting. She makes a Thai Iced tea for me, but I really wasn't in the mood for it. Okay, how about a glass of wine instead? "Okay! Whatever you want!" I got through a glass of wine and Janet was prepared to pour more for me but then the food arrived. She said "stay as long as you want, drink as much as you want!" A very generous offer as I can be quite the wino. But alas, I decided one glass was enough and I wanted to go home and eat. Based on the attempt to recover from the situation, I'm not prepared to give them a terrible rating, but not going to give a glowing review either. I will say though that the fried tofu was bland and way too chewy for my liking. The rest of the meal was good though. I have a feeling my next visit will be spectacular. :)

I'm giving Wild Ginger 4-stars not because of the food but because of the service. Excellent service, fast and hospitable. However, I've had better Thai food. It was just okay. The pad-thai could use more spices. The sweet and sour chicken hardly had chicken in it. Spring rolls were delicious.

The pad Thai was great - too often the sauce is too wet or too sweet - here it was perfectly balanced. The rice chips were amazing. I wanted to take a bag with me. Service was prompt, and the restaurant, while a hole in the wall from the outside, is quite nice inside.

My Thai favorite for several years, way back in the late '70s and early '80s, was Bangkok, until I had repeated experiences with extremely poor service. Any restaurant can have an "off" night, but when it becomes the new norm, that is unacceptable. When I again voiced my dissatisfaction with the service to the manager the evening of my last visit, she did not respond to my comments - she didn't apologize, didn't even ask me what was not satisfactory with the service. When I said that I had been a loyal customer for several years, but that this poor level of service could make us not want to return, her response was . . . wait for it . . . wait for it . . . NOTHING. So I told her that we would not be coming back. My wife and I decided afterwards to try the King and I, which was literally just a few hundred feet from Bangkok in the same strip mall. That began a decades-long love affair. Through a divorce, a second marriage, job changes, etc., etc., the King and I remained a constant. Over the years I introduced dozens of people to my new favorite Thai place, many of whom then made it a regular stop as well. Then it was sold, and the new owners ran it like they WANTED it to fold. Ever since then, I've been seeking a new "go to" Thai restaurant. As part of this quest, I purchased a coupon from Amazon for Wild Ginger. Now let me say up front that I was not happy with the fact that even though I checked their website before I made my first visit, and it clearly showed they were open on Sundays, when I arrived they were locked up tight, and a couple of men outside the store told me they were closed. I just now checked the website ( wildginger-restaurant.com , August 25, 2014, 5:27 p.m.) and it still shows they're open on Sundays). Since then I've discovered they have two different websites, and the other one ( wildgingeratlanta.com ) does say they are closed on Sundays. So the first time I ate there was actually my second visit. When I walked in a little after 5:00 p.m., I was their only customer. It's a relatively small space, feels cozy. My waitress (Lin) was extremely polite and helpful, and on her recommendation, one of the items I ordered was a curry dish (my apologies for not being able to recall exactly which one) - I enjoyed it. I love a good basil roll, and theirs is as good as I've had anywhere else. One item that I especially miss about King and I is pork satay, but I believe that it doesn't exist anywhere else, as far as I can tell. (If anyone knows of a restaurant that serves it, PLEASE let me know.) Lin was very personable and self-effacing, and I was able to have a very nice ongoing conversation with her (until other customers began to arrive), learning that she had fairly recently moved to the U.S. from Thailand to join her husband. At one point she even apologized for her poor English, but I told her that I thought she actually spoke quite well, especially considering her relatively limited exposure to, and experience with, English. There was a small problem with my bill, but the manager quickly resolved it - no muss, no fuss. And there was no hassle with using the Amazon coupon. While my sampling of their menu is limited, my overall experience was good. I definitely plan to return, and they are definitely in the running for my new favorite Thai place.

Excellent meal. Expensive lunch. $27 all in tax/tip. Duck curry $13 - 5 stars. Curry roll $5 - 4 stars. Ginger salad free - 2 stars. Service - avg. Setting next to the entrance of 285 - 3 stars. Take away - too expensive for overall experience. BUT duck curry was one of the best I've had.

Thai food is literally and unquestionably the most amazing food in the whole world. With that being said, you'd think I'd be much more picky, but in reality, all I want are ridiculously spicy noodles loaded with veggies and tofu. I haven't dined in at Wild Ginger but grabbed to go food one night and while I'm usually a red curry girl, I wanted some simple noodles and went with the Pad Thai minus egg and shrimp and with extra veggies (clearly) served hot. Not only was the food quite yummy, but they got all our gluten-free, vegan, no egg, extra spicy, extra everything orders correct. Bonus points!

No complaints about this place. It is located right next to the 300 bowling alley in Dunwoody. Don't let the humble exterior fool you. The inside is nicely decorated and clean. The service is professional and prompt. The food is great! I order either the Massaman Curry or the Thai fried rice. They are both DELICIOUS. The Thai tea is good as well as the variety Thai beers they offer. The coconut soup is very yummy, but a bit on the sweet side. All in all, this place is very good and satisfying and I will be returning regularly.

The shrimp curry was super tasty, but seemed like it only had maybe 10 shrimp and very little in the way of other veggies (just some onion slivers). Thus, we mostly ended up with a 1.5-2 inch deep bowl of curry sauce. The pepper steak was tasty, nothing very bold about it, and it too seemed like they were skimping on the beef. Tasty enough, there was much hustle and bustle, but I thought that they skimped quite a bit on the meat and weren't making up for it by putting decent sized pieces of veggie in them. Did not try any noodle dishes. Had a coupon, so it was still a decent deal--with the coupon.

I've never been to the actual location, so my review is based on delivery. I've ordered from them online several times and I have never been disappointed. The food is spicy as I like my food to be, and delivery is always pretty fast. I've had the same man deliver the food each time and he's very nice and polite.

Today I didn't want the typical Chinese food (which I don't care for) or wings. I hopped on Grubhub and ran across Wild Ginger. Who couldn't go for some curry?! I'm under the weather so I figured the spicier the better to give me a bit of relief. I ordered their lunch spicy seafood curry panang and thai spring rolls. They also throw in an extra spring roll with your order. The rolls were crispy and fresh and the sweet and sour sauce they include is sensational. I wish I could be as thrilled about the curry. There was no heat whatsoever. The texture was watery and there were about 2 pieces of seafood a piece (shrimp, scallops, and squid). I'm not completely disappointed because it was something different for lunch but don't see myself ordering this again even though I may order from them again in the future. The delivery was pretty fast and the young lady was nice. Hopefully I'll have better luck next time.

We ordered Shrimp pad Thai (hot) and Tom Yum soup. The Pad Thai came very spicy which was perfect, but we felt it lacked in flavor. Good, but needed more flavor. The soup was also good. Can't say it is the best Thai I've ever had, but I would go back.

It's such a strange part of Atlanta. Along what feels like a service road... But really really good. I did the Tom Kha soup (coconut) and found it to be delicious. Also I did a Red Curry Shrimp... Without getting all emotional... it was delicious. The exterior, no the whole are looks like crap. But I am pretty sure you'll be happy with the food. Service was great too.

The Entertainment Book (Atlanta Edition) just hasn't been doing much for me lately. There aren't tons of restaurants in it, and the ones that are there are really spread out. My husband and I drove over 30 minutes to visit Wild Ginger, and I am not sure the drive was worth it. I would actually give this place 2.5 stars. When we pulled up I was a bit nervous...but it looked much better on the inside. We were seated right away on a Saturday night at 7, it wasn't very busy. One of the servers brought us an opening snack...not sure what it was...tasted fishy but looked like potato chips. They brought us two baskets of those before we got water (though we didn't finish the first)...the service was really slow. We ordered the chicken pad thai and the spicy basil leaf. The pad thai was boring, definitely nowhere near my top 10 list of best pad thai dishes. The spicy basil was better, with a great flavor. My biggest complaint about the two dishes was the chicken. Our meals came literally in less than 5 minutes. The chicken tasted like it had been cooked the night before and was maybe reheated with the dishes. It just wasn't good. I can't stand the taste of reheated chicken. I want my food fresh when I go out to eat. I can reheat chicken at home. It took a while to get our bill at the end. The servers were all really nice, they were just really slow. I wouldn't go back. Not even with a coupon. I can't believe some have said this is the best Thai they have ever had. It makes me sad because I am thinking maybe Atlanta just doesn't have good Thai food. I mean, there were "best of Atlanta" awards on the walls...I was a bit surprised. Whatever those diners had...I didn't have it.

Some folks in my office ordered from here one day and raved about it so I thought I'd give it a shot. I ordered the Pad See Ewe with shrimp. After 3 bites, I threw the whole thing away. The noodles were overcooked, the broccoli practically raw and the shrimp (all 4 of them) were overcooked and rubbery. $10 down the drain. Other folks in the office rave about the shrimp cheese rolls and one of the rice dishes (can't remember which one), so maybe I just got it on a bad day. I won't be giving it a second chance though.

Came here with 5 other folks, and used a restaurant.com coupon- YES. Total bill came to ~$7 per person. (partly explaining why I left sort of hungry) Massaman curry with tofu- It was sort of hard to tell between this dish and the red curry- this massaman curry was a darker shade than the usual brownish yellow- a redder hue. Taste was ok, didn't get me crazy excited or anything. (3) Red curry with chicken- As I said, couldn't tell too much difference between this one and the massaman- decent, not tantalizing. (3) Basil fried rice with chicken- this was pretty good, tasty, flavored just right. (4) Pad thai with (shrimp)- wasn't overpoweringly sweet with too much sauce- though there weren't many shrimp that I could see... (3.5) We actually ordered something else that I can't even remember....so yea, that's kind of the story of my experience of this place. Not bad, but not memorable either. If I give Thai of Norcross a 4, I cannot but give this place a 3 at best.

The Yelp reviewers about Wild Ginger are right on target--this little restaurant offers fine Thai dishes, carefully prepared, with friendly service in an atmosphere that has surprising elegance. It's located just off I-285 at the N. Peachtree exit, and please don't don't be put off by the rather rugged exterior. It's very pleasant inside, and apparently very popular with folks dropping by for take-outs, too. One typical dining experience: Tom Kha Kai soup -- creamy coconut milk a bit on the spicy side, stocked with mushrooms, chicken slices and lemonleaf -- followed by an order of delicious and crunchy spring rolls. Next up the crispy flounder salad, a HUGE pile of fresh fish wonderfully seasoned with onion and cilantro, and the Massaman chicken curry, a flavorful dish that would have been better had we asked for it to be prepared with a bit more spiciness. Add in a Thai beer, and not only were we quite satisfied but the bill didn't give us indigestion: $38 with tax for two. We've done take-out here, too, but we prefer savoring the food as it comes out of the kitchen. We think if you try it, you'll become a regular.

I recently moved from downtown to the Chamblee/Brookhaven area. I missed visiting my favorite thai restaurant (little bangkok on cheshire bridge) and was pleased to find this Thai restaurant right around the corner. Based on the mostly positive yelp reviews, we checked it out. They have my absolute favorite green curry chicken and they'll make it as hot as you like. My dining companion had the tom ka (something) soup and it was very good. The Thai dumplings were also good. I've been twice and had excellent food and service both times. Plus, they often have deals on the online local deals sites.

Happened to visit here on a friday night, the place was a little crowded and we had to wait a bit which we didnt mind since waiting is a good sign at a restaurant. We ordered coconut soup, spicy basil fried rice, pad thai, green curry and a penang curry. All the entrees and soup was good but the spicy basil fried rice was the best. The soup had pieces of fresh lemon grass in it which gave it an authentic flavor. Good value for money since the proportions were good. Would highly recommend.

Recently went here on a Scoutmob. Being a huge fan of Thai food, I must say that I was very disappointed. I think the tone was set by the creamy coconut soup. Yes, creamy. I was looking around for some Sriracha to help spice it up a bit, but didn't find any. Nevertheless, the staff were all nice. Our waitress asked if we liked the soup and of course I told her no and that it was too creamy for my taste.

soup is nice if you like cilantro. I personally liked the taste and aroma. Thai Tea is a bit strong since they don't use as much milk. The Wild Ginger Soft Shell Crab is enjoyable if you like panang style curry. The crab is cooked nicely. The service was par, but the food was great. The traditional $8-$10 dishes though weren't anything special though. If you want to have a good experience here, expect to pay ~$17.

My Halfoffdepot voucher was refused at 9:15 pm on Saturday 15Feb. due to Valentine's day despite the restaurant having many open tables. The problem with this is that the restrictions which per the terms of service must be written on the voucher, did not show any holiday restrictions and what restaurant includes the two days after Valentine's day in the holiday? This manager is demonstrating very poor customer service and not playing by the rules.

There was an interesting aroma in the air. An odifiorus blend of a stinky bathroom and smelly socks. The food was cheap, but lacked in flavor. I had pad woon sen, which was lackluster. Rice dishes seem to be there specialty.

I had a craving for some Thai food so I did a quick search to figure out a place that is pretty close to where I work -- drum roll, Wild Ginger came up. I checked out the reviews and decided to head on over. I pulled up and the outside is a little shady looking, but I was feeling adventurous so I went on inside. I had the Masaman curry chicken and a thai iced tea, of course. Yum. I'm glad I braved the outside appearance -- remember, never judge a book by its cover :)

I love Thai food. I always order green curry and pad thai. This time, it was no different. Both dishes were very flavorful, and the portion was generous. I took home leftovers for lunch the next day. It was a cold night so I ordered the tom kha gai soup as the appetizer. Most of the time, the soup comes out sour and watery in other Thai places. But at Wild Ginger, it was creamy and sweet, just the way I like it. I just didn't like the chicken in the dishes. It didn't taste all that fresh. But I like the ambiance. I'll be back!

Wild Ginger is one of the best Thai restaurants in Atlanta. Their meals are served with generous portions and attention to detail. While I don't necessarily agree with their particular preparation choices (the Pad Thai is just so-so) the food is always consistent and flavorful. They also have great takeout service and even make decent sushi. Try the Thai spring rolls and the Tom Kha Kai soup here. Both are a big hit!

The Thai food was good, but skip the sushi. The rolls were falling apart and not exceptionally tasty. I should have gone with my gut instinct: if a place specializes in one type of cuisine and also serves sushi, get their specialty.

I know this so far they deliver! Do you know what this means to a single chick who does not cook. Well it means the world! Ok now truth be told I have yet to have them deliver anything. I went in after work one afternoon just to grab some soup and go home. I saw the guy in front of me making sushi so I said hook me up. He made the wild ginger roll for me it was super fresh. I got to use a little bit of the Thai language to make myself feel worldly and they smiled politely and conversed with me for a few. I got home and the coconut soup hit the spot. I am just so excited that they deliver I'm gonna have to get back to you on that experience. Until then if you live n this area they are wonderful place and deserve a chance.

I like this place. It is really dimly lit and cozy on the inside. I wanted some Tom-Kha soup and it came bubbling hot. But it was a little too on the sweet side for me...I have never had such sweet Tom Kha, and I will be back to try some other stuff on their menu but I wont be ordering that again. Judging from another review here about their pad thai I may not be ordering that either. The service was great. This would be a nice date spot.

My love for thai food, in addition to the $25 restaurant.com gift certificate I had for this restaurant, led me, my husband, mom, dad, and sister to eat dinner here last night. Everything ordered (curry, fancy fried rice, pad thai, tom yum pasta and soup, etc) was great! The only "complaints" I have are that sushi is not available on Sunday (my sister wanted to order sushi), and when busy (which is was last night), it can be difficult to get your server's attention. I like privacy when eating, but the occasional glance to the table to see if we need anything is always appreciated. Although we try to go to different restaurants each time we go out, we will go back here when we want guaranteed good Thai food!

Their online ordering system made it so easy to place an order. Ordered early in the eve so came pretty quickly. We had the ginger salad (pretty decent size, very fresh), pad thai, Pad Kee Mao and C.U.I Spaghetti. Very delicious. I will definitely order from them again!

This is the best Asian place that delivers to my house. I generally don't go to the store, but their delivery covers flavorful and interesting. Some of their interpretations aren't quite what I've come to expect, but they've always been pleasing. They have never disappointed me by wandering too far into weird fish sauce torment (unlike some other places nearby).

If I could've rated 3.5 stars, I would have. This place has good food and good service. Their Tom Kha Kai was amazing. No spice at all, but great mild coconut base. The menu has expensive and inexpensive options. The "Thai with a Twist" section is pricey (Royal Pad Thai with Jumbo Shrimp $18.95). However, some similar dishes are also on the menu in other categories (Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp $9.95.) As for spice level, I ordered extremely spicy and it was. The only disappointment was that they use chili paste and dried pepper instead of fresh Thai peppers.

My favorite Atlanta-area Thai restaurant! (so far.) The interior is clean with cute decor, and the wait staff are quick and friendly. The food comes much faster than you would expect. Usually I order pad thai at a restaurant, but I actually don't care for the pad thai here. The sauce is a little too much for my taste. However, the massaman curry is amazing! They also have great thai iced tea and spring rolls. The portions are pretty large, and I usually have enough left over to take home for the next day.

The hubby and I ran upon this hidden treasure before going bowling next door. We were hungry and didn't want the food at the bowling ally, so we walked over to Wild Ginger and became their first customers of the day (they didn't open til 5p). What a surprise, this place is very laid back, yet modern and chic. Very cozy. The best thing about Wild Ginger is the food!!!! It was so good and even better the next day. I don't remember our entrees, however I am sure all the food is great. I did order frozen ice cream for desert and all I can say is oohlala!!!! So, we never ended up bowling afterward but found our new Thai food spot!

Food is good here! We ordered fried rice and coconut soup, and Pad Kee Mao. We liked soup and the fried rice. The Pad Kee Mao is okay and it had a lot of tofu with less noodles. Overall, we would like to visit this place again.

Confession: I'm a bit obsessed with Coconut Soup. This is by far my favorite Thai restaurant! And it isn't because the Coconut Soup comes in a fountain-looking bowl with a lit fire in the middle (though that certainly helps...). The food, always, is 100%. The service and staff are top notch and friendly. I housesit in this area, and every time I do, I get take out or delivery from Wild Ginger. They remember me, and that I do not live there, asking how I have been. It is so good that I make the drive, even when not housesitting from time to time.

It was OK. I had massaman chicken and spring rolls. Ive been to many Thai restaurants in Atl and there are definitely more memorable options out there. Overall,I liked the location near perimeter mall area. Bathrooms could use some improvements. Waitstaff was fine. Decor was fine.

I do like this place, fairly average Thai food though. This place is just around the corner from my boyfriend's apartment. On the day that we were waiting for a furniture delivery my boyfriend ran out to get us some food and came back with this. He said he knocked on the door to get the guy to open about 10 minutes before the scheduled opening time. The owner gave him a funny look but took his order anyway. A couple of weeks later we went back and ate inside the restaurant. There is a nice atmosphere inside, it is dimly lit with table candles. And those white foamy looking chips are shrimp chips... so if you are allergic to shellfish don't eat them. (although Thai food is fully of common allergy foods- so you probably shouldn't eat here if you have a lot of allergies anyway).

BEWARE on Sunday! - I have previously written excellent reviews for this restaurant; however, my opinion has changed some. When I go out for dinner, I usually enjoy a beer or glass of wine with my meal. This restaurant has stopped serving alcohol on Sundays. We asked to bring in a bottle of wine but they said that was not allowed. We also asked if we get get our order "to-go" but they said that wasn't allowed because of a voucher that we were using. I will probably never return to this (or any other restaurant) who chooses not to sell alcohol.

The bf and I had a Scoutmob, so we decided to try it out. It wasn't worth the $15 coupon. First, we waited 15 minutes to put in our dinner order. Then, it took over 30 minutes to get our entrees. We actually had to remind the server about our order. I'd be more understanding if the restaurant had been more crowded, but there were plenty of servers for the amount of diners. Also, the location is scruffy--there isn't any "date night" ambiance, which is fine, but prospective customers should know. Finally, after all of that wait, the food was thoroughly mediocre. The sweet and sour sauce tasted like a mixture of ketchup and apple jelly, the shrimp cheese rolls had very little crab (despite the description in the menu) and the pineapple fried rice was so-so. Next time I'm craving Thai, I'll stick with the 20 or so Thai restaurants in and around downtown Decatur.

This place was recently featured on Scoutmob and as an avid pad Thai lover, I had to try it when the editor of Scoutmob wrote that it had the best pad Thai in town. This place is located right on the perimeter 2 exits after you get on I-285. When you first walk in, you don't think much of the restaurant but the subtle beauty and elegance of this small restaurant certainly begins to present itself as you sit there a little bit longer. My boyfriend and I started off with the Tom Ka soup, and it was delicious! When we saw the tables around us order egg rolls, we decided to try their Thai egg rolls. While it was tasty, there wasn't any combination of flavors that blew us away, and we probably wouldn't get it away. For our entrees, we ordered Pad Thai and Pad Kee Mow...boy oh boy, was the Pad Kee Moo FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC!!!! The combination of Thai spices mixed with the green/red peppers combined with onions makes my water mouth just recalling that dish. The Pad Thai was also quite good (and the portion was actually decent especially compared to LITTLE BANGKOK) ; the sauce was a little different (certainly not in a bad way different though) but just enough where you can't really compare it to other Pad Thai's around town. While the food was yummy in my tummy, the service was more than a tad bit slow-maybe my waiter was just starting to work at this place, but he did not seem to be on top of his A game. It seemed the only other waiter in the restaurant was helping him and picking up his slack. For example, our dishes from appetizer and soup portions piled up in the corner of our table until finally the other waiter had time to pick it up and take it to the back....however, this won't deter me from coming back here to eat; if anything, it'll just affect their tips! Give this place a try; I promise you'll walk away a happy clam!

My husband and I couldn't decide what to have for dinner last night, so we ended up at Wild Ginger again. Still a solid four stars. The shrimp chips, as always, were yummy. We also had the tom kha kai (coconut milk soup), which was creamy and flavorful. One note: if you want it to be spicy, you need to ask for it that way, because by default, it's... not spicy. But it's still yummy! For my entree, I tried something new... the Wild Ginger Thai Duck Salad. I ordered it spicy, and it was... not "Thai hot" but it definitely had a kick. The duck was crispy and delicious, and the salad was simple but a nice compliment to to the meat and spicy dressing. Definitely a good choice. The service was attentive and pleasant. The food is great. Overall, I still recommend this place to anyone in the Perimeter Mall area who wants a tasty Thai meal with a bit of a twist.

Best of genre in the area. Wonderful people and they make food to order. Always acknowledge my extra spicy requests. The seafood soup in the volcano bowl is a fun experience.

Some friends and I went here last week for dinner. The service was prompt and the employees were friendly but none of our dishes were very good. They weren't repulsive but just kind of bland. We had the pineapple duck, spicy basil chicken and basil lamb and while the portions were large enough to provide leftovers we chose not to take any home. Maybe the Thai is what we should have gotten. The place was clean and quiet. It wasn't so bad that I wouldn't go back for a 2nd chance if I get a coupon but I can't recommend it.

What a waste of time! I was craving Thai food but didn't feel like driving over to Buford. Singha Thai wasn't open for lunch so decided to give Wild Ginger another shot. I ordered their Pad Thai and it was near impossible to eat - noodles were doused with some sweet sauce that I initially thought I was eating tomato ketchup. The slices of chicken breast tasted like they've been frozen, defrosted, then re-frozen and thawed. The waiter offered a re-do. The second time wasn't any better beyond it being edible now. If not for the service, I wouldn've given Wild Ginger a zero star.

We eat here regularly and love it! It's the best Thai food in the area and in competition for best in Atlanta. I love their Thai with a Twist section, especially the Sweet Basil Lamb and the Green Curry Salmon.

Food Snob here....dont even waste your time, money, breath, or even gas on this place. Not only did they mess up my order, but they also were slow in service. I ordered the masaman, besides not being spicy like i asked the sauce was good. The chicken could have been cooked a little bit longer, but was ok. The rice was a generous portion for a thai restaurant, and you cant really mess up rice (if you do, you shouldn't have a restaurant). The soup that came out in the beginning threw me, since you are expecting a stock type of soup. This soup was i'm not exactly sure, and it was sweet. Was not expecting that at all. I have had better masaman curry dishes, and thai food, elsewhere. The prices are comprable to other thai restaurants, but don't bother.

Was at a training seminar in Dunwoody, and felt the need for ginger, basil and curry. I'm a girl, I'm allowed to have cravings. Ordered the vegetable green curry. Mmmmmm....what is not to love about green curry and coconut milk? Every forkful offered a new delight. Lots of lovely fresh vegetables, delicious neon eggplants. The staff here was a breath of fresh air. So attentive and genuinely grateful to see you. Their sincerity is something often missing in the Atlanta Restaurant market. Can't wait to attend another Continuing education seminar. I will be back.

This place doesn't have much to say for it's outside appearance (located on the access road of 285 and a tad on the shady looking side), but inside, it's very cute. Definitely a bit of a page out of an IKEA catalog, but it works and has nice ambiance. The food is great...lots of flavor and full of taste. A little bit to be desired a far as amount for the cost, but I suppose it's forgivable as it is in the outskirts of Dunwoody. We tried the Appetizer Lover - a little bit of everything and it was definitely worth it. Great Pad Thai...a staple I try at almost every Thai restaurant...and pretty delicious Green Curry - spicy and definitely good stuff. The service is good...and right now they're giving 10% off b/c they're celebrating their anniversary...but you gotta pay in cash =). Seriously, worth checking out.

We eat here regularly with friends and we are always very happy with the food and service. I usually order the Pho soup and Rainbow roll, but the others order a variety of things. It is very reasonably priced as well.

Let me start by saying that i'm willing to give them another shot. Everyone else at my table liked their entree, I just wasn't so wild about mine. We started with the cheese rolls. Very tasty & worth coming back for just those. I had the Pad Thai & was unimpressed. I thought it to really lack flavor. Other dishes at our table were: sesame chicken, 'Fancy' fried rice & Pad See U. All 3 of those were enjoyable. Our server was nice & kept our drinks filled. It was a little on the pricey side, but with our gift certificate, it ended up being ok. I'll def give them another shot & clearly try a different dish next time.

Ordered from here using a FDS (food delivery service) flyer I found. Waste of $30.the fried rice was okay but dry. I also ordered some sushi. I probably would never order from here again. There are better places around.

Decent thai but falls short of my benchmark spot in Atlanta - Rama 5. Loved the Tom Kha Kai soup. The red pepper chicken and pad seeu were good, but the curry dishes fell flat. The green curry was goopy and tasted funny. The decor inside is simple and pleasant.

I've been frequenting Wild Ginger for a couple of years now since I work just down the road. The true gem of this restaurant is the staff. They have always been courteous, and willing to go above and beyond. For example, one of the few times I went for dinner, I brought my girlfriend who had a cough she couldn't get over (I should note she wasn't sick). The waitress brought her some thai tea on the house to help her get over it, and the tea helped a lot. The rest of the meal was fantastic, and as usual, the staff was always willing to help. I watched their interaction with other patrons, and it was the same deal. The staff was friendly, and everyone else was positive because of it. As for the food, the menu is varied, with rotating specials and some Thai staples. I can't comment much more on this, because I always order their Pad Thai. It leans on the sweet side, but is a very good recipe. I've always been happy with WIld Ginger, and if they were just a bit cheaper, I'd give them 5 stars.

I came here with my boyfriend probably last month or so. It was cool. We had a sweet waitress. I wouldn't say it was the best tai food of my life but I probably would come back if I wanted something tasty and quick. Try it out

Ordered delivery. Both dishes (pad Thai and some basil noodle thing) had good flavor but were sooooooo dry. Might be better if you dine in but I would not order delivery again.

I had the Chicken Pad Thai. It was absolutely delicious and filling! Would recommend.

(5)Christy C.
(4)Dia D.
(4)Collin C.
Exceptional customer service! Very friendly and hospitable. The spicy basil with beef was very flavorful and the price is a good value..
(4)Patrick E.
I really enjoyed their Spicy Basil Fried rice!
(4)Ray B.
(4)Courtenay L.
I actually think this might be the best Thai food I have ever had. I am not sure if that is saying much since I have only had Thai in TN, GA, CA and NY. But it was delicious. I wish I could continue to go there! Too bad I do not live nearby.
(5)Tyler B.

(2)Kate M.
(2)Kelly E.
Ambience: great. Except for the poor taste in elevator music. Thai Iced Coffee: on the mark Service: very good Food: nope. Just. Don't.
(2)Claude H.
(4)Christina K.

(5)Petrina P.
(4)Kenneth N.

(5)Kamil B.

Go!

Bought cashew basil chicken fried rice .. I think it's best fried rice in whole atlanta .. Loved it .. Chicken is cooked good .. Love their spice levels .. Highly recommended!!

Very unpleasant experiences. Food was whatever and over priced. I would not recommend anyone to eat here. One star is not even worth it.

I first went to Wild Ginger 3 years ago on a double date and it was so much fun! The food was delicious, friendly service and cute atmosphere...I just recently moved and ordered delivery and it was to my door within 20 min after quoting 45 min delivery time! AWESOME!!!

(5)Eric M.
Managed to use my last Groupon here and happy to report that the Sesame Chicken with sauce is excellent as is the Wild Ginger Salad.
(4)Lauren H.
Awesome!
(4)Rafael P.
We were not too hungry so we didn't order an entree but the coconut soup, thai basil roll, shrimp cheese roll and the wild ginger thai curry roll were very good! Service was prompt and friendly. Will come back! :)
(5)Saurabh B.
Good food..

(4)Dona N.
(5)Royal M.
Another "hole in the wall" joint that delivers! Plain looking both inside and out, but the food is SO worth it. the Royal Pad Thai was delicious! So full of flavor, and made with fresh shrimp with a nice crunch. This made it well worth the trip! I'll be back to try more!
(4)Hannah S.
(4)Aneesha B.
This restaurant really disappointed me, I order food to be deliver at 9:20 and didn't received my order. Then they have the nerve to call me 45 mins late after they were supposed to arrived, to ask me if I still want the food. Of course I cancel. Never again!!!!
(1)Andy M.

Was yummy for my second time . I had shrimp and cheese appetizer(fried) and flat spicy noodle with shrimp. The service really stands out! They are very very sweet and hospitable !

Loved their dynamite roll and philadelphia isn't bad either!

(3)Chrissy M.
(4)Nick G.

(3)Cassi B.

(2)Seung G.
soup is nice if you like cilantro.

If you're concerned about MSG, this is not the place for you. The food tastes good but all food tastes good when you cheat with MSG. If you don't care, they're great!!
(3)Gloria W.
(4)Johnathon T.
(4)Melissa H.

(4)RIKETA C.

(4)D D.
Their online ordering system made it so easy to place an order. Ordered early in the eve so came pretty quickly. We had the ginger salad (pretty decent size, very fresh), pad thai, Pad Kee Mao and C.U.I Spaghetti. Very delicious. I will definitely order from them again!
(5)Alex H.
(4)Mickey D.
(3)Jessica C.
(5)Lady J.
(5)Santosh R.
Food is good here! We ordered fried rice and coconut soup, and Pad Kee Mao. We liked soup and the fried rice. The Pad Kee Mao is okay and it had a lot of tofu with less noodles. Overall, we would like to visit this place again.
(4)Ivy B.
(5)DJ V.
It was OK. I had massaman chicken and spring rolls. Ive been to many Thai restaurants in Atl and there are definitely more memorable options out there. Overall,I liked the location near perimeter mall area. Bathrooms could use some improvements. Waitstaff was fine. Decor was fine.
(2)Jenny H.

(4)Ryan H.
Best of genre in the area. Wonderful people and they make food to order. Always acknowledge my extra spicy requests. The seafood soup in the volcano bowl is a fun experience.
(4)Don W.
(2)Liz T.
(1)Ameer N.
I love the Massaman Curry.
(4)Adam B.
We eat here regularly and love it! It's the best Thai food in the area and in competition for best in Atlanta. I love their Thai with a Twist section, especially the Sweet Basil Lamb and the Green Curry Salmon.
(5)Peter S.

(4)Daniela J.
Love this restaurant! The sushi is very fresh and delicious. The Thai food is very flavorful! Nice environment and staff! Love that they deliver too!!
(5)Tiffany S.
(4)Rick C.
We eat here regularly with friends and we are always very happy with the food and service. I usually order the Pho soup and Rainbow roll, but the others order a variety of things. It is very reasonably priced as well.
(5)Laura T.
(3)T S.
A neighborhood gem. Friendly staff and above average dishes at reasonable prices. Been there many times over the past year and see that word is getting out about this gem.
(4)Kan B.
Ordered from here using a FDS (food delivery service) flyer I found. Waste of $30.the fried rice was okay but dry. I also ordered some sushi. I probably would never order from here again. There are better places around.
(2)Dave A.
(3)Nathan Y.
(4)Catlady F.
I came here with my boyfriend probably last month or so. It was cool. We had a sweet waitress. I wouldn't say it was the best tai food of my life but I probably would come back if I wanted something tasty and quick. Try it out
(3)Alison B.
Ordered delivery. Both dishes (pad Thai and some basil noodle thing) had good flavor but were sooooooo dry. Might be better if you dine in but I would not order delivery again.
