Nice Neighborhood Restaurant. I have been coming here for a few years for some decent diner grub. It's located on Peachtree Rd in a shopping plaza next to the Wendy's. The place is filled with photos and memorabilia of Presidents throughout history. The restaurant has been there for many years and have changed ownership several times. Breakfasts are great, as I usually order The Presidential. It's a good menu item as is the chicken omelet. If you aren't in the eggs and bacon mood, my suggestion would be the stuffed cabbage, it's a real treat and get those with lemon potatoes plus collards. The service is friendly and prices are just about right. If you're looking for a small, independently owned eatery, give The White House a try.

The food here is pretty good all around. It's usually empty when I go so the food is hot, and the cook will basically do whatever you ask. The staff is extremely polite, was tolerant of bad jokes and side bar conversations about every random thing I asked them. And the kicker is it's the only non-pretentious diner in Buckhead.

Demo is back! Yes, the former owner has returned....This is just plain home cooking. Breakfast is my favorite...the food is good. The service is friendly and prompt and the prices are right. A Buckhead institution. Its a five for what it is, but, its retro and comfortable -- a perfect score for what it is. I have been a customer for 30 years!

Greasy, grungy, nothing too fancy...and yet I really miss stopping by here for a big breakfast before to start my day when I worked in Buckhead. The menu has tons of options, but I would typically stick to eggs and sides. Everyone working there is friendly, and they have that comfortable feel like they've all been there forever. White House is a very solid option for a hangover cure if you wake up anywhere in Buckhead...it won't be as busy as Waffle House too.

This place is small but breakfast is good! I love breakfast and since moving my business to buckhead, I've been riding by this place. So my friend and I decided to try the brunch. Not much attention paid to you when you walk in, but our waitress was very nice. The pancakes were awesome, buttery and light! The ham was very salty and I am very accustomed to eating ham, but this was too salty even for me! The biscuits were delish, the grits good as well. I'd go again if the place was a little cleaner!

Located this spot just by walking around the day b4. It looks smaller outside but inside it's a decent size, clean, friendly. The waitress was cool, friendly, nice, older lady. She took order and it arrived promptly. I ordered the chicken omelette which was good but nothing special. Due to the veggies inside it made it watery underneath the omelette which spilled over to the potatoes. I asked to have them crispy(hate soft hash browns), but I think the waitress or cook thought I meant to have the toast crispy which is what happened not the potatoes. The coffee was alright, had better. This place is one u go to because u know the owner or live in the neighborhood and don't wanna go to another/better spot or don't wanna go to Trader Joe's to buy groceries.

I went there for breakfast; the experience was disappointing. Conclusion: White House is subpar and overpriced. Price: I paid $22.00 (20% tip + tax) for a coffee, chicken breast omelet, and three pieces of bacon. I firmly believe that someone is better off paying $5.00 for a McDonald's breakfast than eating breakfast at White House. The menu is overvalued. Someone shouldn't pay more than $12.00 for what I ate. Quality: the coffee was tasteless, the omelet gave a bad name to egg dishes, and even the bacon was screwed. Service: it was alright.

What do yelpers do when service is unforgivably slow at a restaurant they were otherwise psyched to (re)visit? Yelp. And so the minutes tick by... Understandably, rolling in at around 10:30-10:45 on a Sunday morning, particularly in such close proximity to at least one major church, does not bode too well for being seated in a speedy manner. But we were really irked by the lag between BEING seated and the waitress circling back to get our orders--maybe 10-15 minutes? In the meantime I couldn't even make eye contact. As busy as that place was, half the tables had cleared out by the time we were actually able to order our food. Which brings me to my next point... the wait between ordering and getting our food. We ordered: 1) egg and cheddar cheese sandwich on sourdough with bacon, sausage biscuits and gravy. Simple food, you know? Why would this require another 20 minutes to prepare? Fast forward to actual receipt of our food. The toast on my sandwich tastes and feels like its been toasted about an hour ago, the bacon is cold as well, and the eggs are, at best, lukewarm. But what about the cheese, you might ask? Wasn't there cheddar cheese on the sandwich as well? That's what I thought, too, when I bit into the sandwich... The waitress claimed it's scrambled into the eggs, which might well have been the case but if so rendered their addition tasteless and, in my humble opinion, meaningless. When I order an egg and cheese sandwich I'm in it for the meltiness. Plus I found a hair beneath my sandwich that definitely didn't come from my head... See attached picture. The boyfriend's sausage biscuits and gravy was decent: 3/5 stars if that were the only criteria for this breakfast. But I am just always so disappointed when the simplest, least ambitious food goes terribly awry, and those biscuits were just simply not enough to redeem the meal. And don't even get me started on the apparent hygiene/service problems... By the way... we could see that the bacon was actually carried out in batches, pre-cooked from the back room, to where the rest of the food assembly took place. So that explains (but does not justify) the less-than fresh meat we received! Sorry, yelp community. I was way off the mark with my initial review for this place.

Straight up great place. I got the pancakes which were great. The bacon was ok...I prefer crispy bacon and it was a bit chewy. The chocolate milk was also great and not just milk with syrup.

Conveniently located on Peachtree in the heart of Buckhead, the White House is your standard diner for a quick breakfast. Nothing special here in either service or food quality but prices are among the most reasonable in this pricey part of town. Eggs, grits and toast...the "House" has the basics. Three all day long.

Buckhead staple breakfast spot - a hole-in-the-wall, diner-style breakfast joint. Service is friendly, coffee comes out quick and hot, food is good. This place isn't going to blow you away with amazing breakfast or brunch dishes, but it's a good stop for a basic, solid, affordable breakfast - omelettes, pancakes, french toast, egg dishes, etc. Nuff said.

Got right in with no wait for 6 people, which deserves 5 stars for Sunday morning brunch time. It's pretty much a diner set up inside so nothing fancy. Food was very good. I had the Olympic omelette, which was essentially the gryo omelette without the meat. It was delicious and came with Taziki sauce which sounds a little odd but is actually quite good! The White House breakfast was your typical eggs, sausage/bacon, and french toast/pancakes platter for the hungry man or woman who likes the all-American breakfast, fitting the theme of the restaurant. The fried chicken and biscuits with gravy was also enormous and deliciously southern. Overall, the food was great, got seated immediately, good service, and not too pricey. 3.5-4 stars. Will likely come back!

Great food. Quaint interior. Hard to find parking on Sunday during brunch hours. The healthy start breakfast is delicious, but a bit pricey. This is an inexpensive priced place compared to other breakfast places.

White house diner is at walking distance from one of our favorite brunch place, Joy's cafe. so I have passed by this diner several times on my way to Joy's cafe. Other day I was craving some eggs and pancakes and decided to give it a try. It's at a small strip mall where there are few parking spots in the front, few more in the back and that's pretty much it. Since it was a weekday, we didn't have problem finding one in the back but I can see it getting full on weekends. It's a, surprisingly, good size diner that looked like a small one from outside. The decor was very much diner-ish. We were seated promptly and asked if we wanted something to drink. So far so good. Coffee was a ok, not the best, not the worst. We ordered smoked salmon omelette, three hot cakes(pancakes) and grits. It came out in about 10 mins. It was a big omelette and so was the pancake. And grits, well lets just say, didn't look appetizing. The egg part of the omelette was good but I din't enjoy the smoked salmon, which had some distinct taste to it and I didn't enjoy that. And grits was nothing much to brag about either. But we did enjoy the hotcake so much that we quickly finished that first. So overall white house diner is just an other diner, that doesn't have anything remarkable going on for it. Good service and ok food. Go for it, if you are in hurry. Three stars.

Excellent breakfast restuarant with great buckhead location. While a bit pricey the food is good and service is always outstanding. I have been eating here for the past 8 years and have always had very good breakfast meals.

We came here late and it was empty. We were pretty disappointing there weren't more people here, because the food was good. I order my eggs over hard. Most places either don't want to cook them this way or don't know how. They did it perfectly here. The waiters and cook were very friendly. It's a little expensive, but we're willing to pay more for our food being cooked how we ask and friendly service.

We were pretty excited to try out White House based on the other reviews but were very disappointed with our experience here. We arrived around 11 on a Sunday morning and it was busy as expected. We waited around 10 to 15 minutes to be seated which was fine. A waiter even brought us waters while we waited which was very nice. Once we were seated a waitress came by and got our drink orders and we went ahead and ordered our food. 20 minutes pass by and no sign of our food. When I noticed a table that sat down after us received their food we asked what was going on and the waitress went to go check. After 5 or 7 minutes she comes back to explain that they are cooking it now. My wife asked her if they just forgot to make it and she said she put the ticket in and it never printed...which is code for she forgot to put our order in. At this point I was a little upset as we had ordered over 30 minutes ago. Our waitress did apologize and said she put a rush on our food. 10 minutes later our food finally came and it was not very good. We both ordered omelets and on mine all the meat and toppings were in the middle and they didn't give very much of the gyro meat or toppings. My hash browns were under cooked too. I would think that if you make a customer wait 40 minutes for their food you would be much more apologetic and even offer to discount the ticket, but they did not. Combine that with sub-par food and it makes for some unhappy customers. I don't think we will be coming back here.

Always fantastic with the food and service. The price is more than fair considering how pretentious Buckhead is.

I love a nice friendly breakfast and lunch spot. The food was good. The menu doesn't bombard you with choices but they accommodate add on and difference. I can be a pain when it comes to food and my choosing, I'm a nice pain. I had the Gyro omelet with extra mushrooms and feta. I wasn't disappointed. It was good and such a big omelet I was unable to finish it all. This is a practice that many of us should adopt. It helps with layover, you know when your belly layover the top of your pants. My hubby had the nice fluffy hot cakes, which were as big as the plate, eggs, and sausage. He's a Southern eating man. The pancakes were awesome and the grits were creamy and eggs fluffy. The decor was 1970's and laid back comfortable. Felt like home. We love this jewel in Buckhead. Not fancy or expensive, just good food.

My partner and I came here bright and early Tuesday morning at 6am. Besides the staff and one other older gentleman seated at the bar counter, we were the only ones in the diner. This was our first time here and I have been wanting to dine at this Buckhead landmark for a while now. Since it was so early in the morning our only other feasible breakfast option was the Waffle House.... No thanks.... The White House diner has been serving in the Buckhead community since 1948. We chatted with a waitress who has been working there for 25 "happy" years. She told us of the many celebrity visits the restaurant has had, including Usher, Shirley Franklin, and the now infamous Beverly Hall. Well now, for breakfast I ordered the White House breakfast which came with my choice of French Toast, sausage, and scrambled eggs. My partner ordered bacon, eggs, grits, and toast. The food was your standard homecooked-style breakfast. The coffee was excellent. One downside to the place though was the price of the food. I guess due to their Buckhead location they feel they can get away with upcharging a couple dollars on their menu selections..... Anyway though, I say A-OK. 3 STARS!

My fiancé and I have been looking for a traditional diner since we moved to Atlanta a year ago. While we were dating in Chicago we would go to a different diner each week. We love them! We've been disappointed at most ones visited down here. Whitehouse was perfect! We got there at just the right time (before the church crowd) and were seated immediately. I ordered the chicken, biscuits and gravy with a side of hash browns and my fiancé ordered the whitehouse breakfast with pancakes. Everything was wonderful! Portions sizes are on point. I probably didn't need to order the hash browns. The chicken tenders used for my meal were awesome! They were crispy and juicy. Biscuits were fluffy and moist. The gravy needed a bit of salt but I prefer adding my own anyway. My fiancé's pancakes were huge, fluffy and the perfect golden color. His scrambled eggs with cheese were just right too! Can't wait to come back for lunch or to try the gyro omelette. Wish they were open for more hours!

No. No. No. Never again! Let me backtrack - a few breakfast questions for you . . . When you order an omelette, do you literally specify that the cheese should be melted? I don't. But apparently "the norm" here (per the cook, which, um, hasn't always been the case in my personal experience here) is cheese shredded but not even close to melted in the omelette- and the kitchen was extremely aggrieved when we reported that it didn't look "done." Second, when you order bacon, do you assume it will be properly cooked (ie, not stringy/undercooked)? I do. And if I did like mine extra crispy, I'd request that. Seems simple enough. Third, if you say "we'll have an omelette with an extra plate so we can share; you don't need to split it" - how would you expect it to arrive? I'd say on one plate with an extra one on the side (we don't like things split-plated in general and he usually eats more; it's just our preferred way to do it hence requesting it that way). Fourth, if you had all of these mishaps happen and your (not good but really surly) server said she'd have a manager right over - would you think that was the right thing to do - AND expect the manager to actually appear at your table? I would. Fifth, if one of you had to leave to get to the office and the other was ticked off and didn't want to just walk out so finally flagged Said Surly Server down to at least try to pay for the coffee - would you think that was the right thing to do, seeing as how the toast was cold (again, after being made the second time), the omelette was a sorry excuse and the remade bacon was all that was semi-edible? And be happy that they actually let you pay $5 for two cups of diner coffee? Hmmm. . . Yeah, never again in our breakfast rotation. #epicfail

Took the family for a late breakfast while visiting on vacation and it was everything we needed it to be: friendly, affordable, and plenty of decent food including traditional southern options like biscuits and gravy and grits. They have comfortable booths or you can watch the cooks work if you sit at the counter. Had the feeling we were eating with the locals. If you don't find parking in the front don't panic - there is more space in their back lot.

Came here for lunch last week and I guess I was expecting ALOT more from the other reviews. The diner is a long open area and there were probably about 4-5 other tables there but it seemed like they were all regulars. My server was prompt and very courteous. I ordered the gyro with french fries and it came out pretty fast. The pita bread was large although a bit stale. The amount of lettuce, sauce and gyro meat, so much that I had to lighten the load and push half of it onto my plate to eat as a salad. The meat was pretty bland and as previously mentioned, the pita was on the stale side as it literally split from me folding it slightly. The fries were a hot bland mess that ketchup and salt couldn't save. I like the dinner atmosphere, but the parking situation is bad as this is located in a strip mall across from Loco's on Peachtree Rd. and the food doesn't really have me salivating for my next trip.

Breakfast in Buckhead diner-style. It's hard to find a one-off dining establishment in ATL. The White House is your destination for diner dining. While it won't rival an NYC diner it does hit the spot. Parking can be tight during prime time - but come any way. Tables fill up quickly but perhaps you'll find a spot at the counter. Order up and enjoy. The service is friendly and the food is good. Breakfast is my meal,of choice here -- either two eggs, toast and grits (and these grits are the real deal - not drenched in butter yet tasty!) or an omelette. the coffee flows along with the smiles. During a recent visit, after hearing about the busy day ahead, my waitress asked if I wanted a cup of coffee to go. Love the personal touch. Thank you. You made my day.

I happened upon this place while walking back from the Buckhead Theatre after seeing Dawes. I was really hungry and not surprised I never noticed this spot before (squeezed next to a furniture store and some pizza delivery place). There were signs all over the place that there were now open 24 hours so I thought, why not? As soon as I sat down, the menu looked suspiciously like that of the Majestic, but seeing my confusion, my server said that they were sister restaurants. If you know what the Majestic's menu is, then this place should come as no surprise; however, the portions are much bigger. I had the chopped chicken gyro with Greek salad and it was a lot of tasty food. Glad this spot is open in Buckhead and I hope they get a lot of business.

  • Erik D.

This spot isn't a dive, but it is a hole-in-the-wall diner that makes no claims of fabulousness. It's just a decent lunch spot, you know? I had the gyro and a greek salad. The salad was fantastic, better than I get at chain Greek restaurants in Minneapolis. The gyro was ok but not great-- I mean, they don't have the gigantic spinning skewer of meat to slice the gyro meat off of. Also: it's an affordable, non-chain restaurant in Buckhead. I give it a star just for that. I'd go back.

Food = 4 (it's better than most) Price = 2 (it's very expensive - breakfast = 19.00) Experience = 3 (very crowded on Sunday morning. Yes, I know there's a huge church just next door... it's a clean place. For many years I came here mid-week for breakfast and lunch. It's a less crowded time to visit. Best Breakfast experience in Buckhead.

They do breakfast as well as anyone. Lots of omelette choices, pancakes, French toast etc. they make the hash browns crispy, which I really like. you can get rib eye and eggs if you want to go hardcore. Love the diner vibe. My service was outstanding. It is an ATL breakfast standard.

We were staying at Doubletree Hotel and this was about 3blocks from hotel. I had ham and cheese omelette and the ham was smokes or something. Best ever!!! Grits were amazing too. Atmosphere was just like diner but service was great. It was Mother's Day and they have us chocolate covered strawberries and a rose for me. Highly recommend this for breakfast

Very good, standard breakfast fare, but nothing special. I hit up White House yesterday for lunch/brunch with some family from out of town, having heard of it from a couple different people. The menu is really diverse, but mostly consists of omelets, eggs, breakfast meats, pancakes, and french toast. Let's start with the location - as others have mentioned, it's pretty hard to find! For your reference, it's on the same side of the road (if you're going south, the right side. north, the left side) of Peachtree as Wendy's in a little nondescript shopping center. Parking is really tight, especially if you have an SUV, but we had no trouble getting a spot. We sat ourselves and were promptly attended to by a waitress. This is the kind of lady you'd expect to encounter at a diner: sweet, southern, with nails too long and painted to sanitarily serve you food. Classic. I ordered the western omelet, consisting of ham, onions, tomatoes, and cheddar cheese. It was nothing special, but just as good as you'd want it to be. Not super fluffy, but also not too flat. The really incredible standout was the chicken and biscuits and gravy. Huge, fluffy biscuits, delectable white sausage gravy, and moist fried chicken strips. My sister ordered this and I ate way more of it than was really polite! I might actually come back here just to seek this out again! Definitely recommend it. Overall, it's a little nicer than waffle house and offers more variety with a much better atmosphere for when it's not 3am and you're actually sober.

This isn't a foodie place. It's a meeting place. The White House is an Atlanta Institution along the lines of Manuel's Tavern and Paschals. It's basic southern comfort food with a little bit of healthy stuff thrown in for those who must. The waitresses (I believe they're all women, still) are super-efficient and nice. Don't complain. Just eat your biscuit and grits, read the real newspaper and soak in the atmosphere which hopefully will never change.

Step Back in time. Had brunch here today like every Saturday when in Atlanta. An old time and fast paced diner environment that still makes you feel at home. My son had the mammoth plate of french toast and I had the club sandwich with fries. Yum yum! The way the world should be!

  • Bill S.

We've been disappointed here too many times to ignore it any longer. Average food, occasionally unpleasant service, an atmosphere that is occasionally downright dirty and prices that for the quality of the food are way too high. These comments are based on four trips here over the last 18 months, and only one of those experiences rose above this description. The only thing we're wondering is why did we take so long to put this down on Yelp? Specifics? The kitchen has never figured out how to make crispy bacon. The grits are so-so. the pancakes have never failed to be rubbery. They've even screwed up my toast orders twice! It's noisy. Very noisy. Our experiences with servers have been mixed, but not usually enjoyable. Let the Buckheaders who think this is an "in" place continue to keep it in business. We're headed elsewhere.

White House, otherwise known as the best Greek-American diner in Buckhead, serves tasty food in a quirky "Presidential" atmosphere. The people are really friendly and make you feel right at home, which makes it a great neighborhood spot. It's located in a small strip mall, but there is plenty of parking in the back, off of Mathieson Drive. The service is friendly but efficient, and chances are good that one of the owners will check in with you while you're there. I'm five years old, so I like to get the hot cakes (with M&Ms) and bacon. They serve Greek food, omelettes, sandwiches, daily specials, and more, so there's something for everyone. Their tzatziki is amazing- don't miss it! The prices are reasonable and you can expect to spend around $20 on brunch for two people. The gyro omelette was so delicious that I definitely heard "I can't wait to come back" right as we were walking out the door... mission accomplished!

After many years tried this over the weekend. In dire need of breakfast and did not want a true brunch routine, but basic, good breakfast. Thought this place would do it. Wrong. Greasy, food beyond the wrod grease, big letdown. Bread was old. Sorry, not anything good to share. Parking also awful.

i came here for breakfast after hearing some good things from a friend.. this is a restaurant that you will miss when you just walk pass.. you will miss it even when i tell you where it is... it's right across loco's and moondog's. there is a bar that u can sit n see the chef prepare your breakfast.. and there's a small cafeteria line for lunch specials.. its like a 60's diner with some presidential motifs here and there.. in addition they are playing cnn showing washington news on the tv in the morning.. very unique indeed... the food is okay for breakfast, but nothing special or fancy.. will come back for lunch sometime though

I love this place - one of my favorite meat-and-three places in Atlanta (and I've been to most of them). I've never had a bad meal, their generound portions are often enough for 2 meals, and the service has always been attentive and friendly. Simple, well executed food - what's not to like?

I love quirky places like this that seem to juxtapose all thought and reason. In this case it is a Greek Family owned diner, with a large part of the menu devoted to breakfast and Southern style staples, with a name "the White House" which really has nothing to do with the decor or concept. Somehow it all works though. The small restaurant has a cafeteria line where you get your meat and three, or you may have a seat and order off the menu. The servers are so friendly that I feel like they are old friends. The owner is so happy behind the counter, that it makes me wonder what he puts in his coffee in the morning. There is plenty of parking in the rear lot. The White House is only open for breakfast and lunch and closes by 3pm. Another fun throw back is the small candy and gum rack by the register, who can resist a Tootsie Pop after a greasy meal?

Went here a couple times. The food is good, but the place is very crowded. And have to say the price is pretty pricey for the small portions. Parking can be a pain, park in the rear.

When you think White House think Greek not Presidential. This Greek owned and family run restaurant is a favorite of the locals. Tucked away in a tiny strip right on Peachtree Rd, don't blink or you might miss it. Be sure to look around back for free parking if the relatively few parking spaces out front are full. Eggs, bacon and standard American breakfast items are available but the lunch entrees are delicious and typically have a Greek influence.

This was by far one of the worst restaurant experiences that I have had. We were seated at the counter, which was absolutely fine, but also allowed us to see and hear how the kitchen had no clue what was going on. The tickets were all in disarray, and the staff was so unorganized that they spent more time talking about what food went with what else rather than cooking. We waited 45 minutes for our plates of biscuits and gravy, pancakes, bacon and sausage. None of which should take that long, especially since we could see that the meats are precooked, not fresh. Not once during this time did our server apologize for the wait or offer anything while we waited, in fact she didn't even acknowledge the wait time. When the food did arrive, there was absolutely nothing special about it to help make up for the wait. It was bland, and mediocre at best. Even the bacon wasn't great, probably due to being cooked twice. Then to finish it off, the manager who was at the register when we paid, didn't ask how our meal was, to see how everything went. That would have been a key element in saving our experience, and maybe this restaurant if they made some improvements based on guest reviews. My fiancé said this restaurant reminds him of the restaurants that end up on Kitchen Nightmares, desperate for someone to fix the problems that they can't see. Complete waste of money and will not go back.

food is very basic, but good. Service and attitude are both excellent. Chicken gyro was flavorful, but could have used more meat. Feta salad was great. Tuna sandwich was very good--how do you make a bad tuna sandwich?Closes @ 2:30pm Visa & MC.

Great service and one of the secret places where the true elite of Atlanta business come for their eggs and toast. Lots of grays in suits who own and/or run Fortune level companies dine here in the am. The food is decent, but I've had much better. This was a cash only place when I went there a while ago for business meetings, so I am not sure if it has changed. Parking can be tough. Your best bet is to park in the back.

A classic American diner where you can eat Greek food with Richard Nixon - or his photograph, at least. The White House Restaurant is a melting pot of presidential memorabilia, 50's style diner, and greek food. It seems to be best known for its breakfast and, by experience, I can vouch for the biscuits and gravy. Today, I tried the gyro sandwich. Yum! At $10.75, it was not the cheapest gyro ever. It might even be the most I've ever paid for a gyro. But, it was a heck of a good gyro. It appears they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but I see this place mostly as a brunch spot. It is not as cheap as some, not as high end as others, but has a local-knowledge, community vibe that makes it feel like your own special spot for brunch with friends. This place is hard to see from the road, and the parking out front is limited. Fortunately, there is additional parking in the back. We went during church hours, figuring that would reduce the crowd. Nope. I find the retro ambience and pictures of presidents charming. The staff are nice, the food is good and, once you know where it is, it's pretty conveniently located. I'll go back.

For those who don't know Buckhead, take a short drive up and down Peachtree and get a feel of the other restaurants, then walk into the White House. It's a magical portal away from all the overpriced, polished over, contemporary restaurants. You get a country feel the second you walk through the doors, from the small open kitchen right behind the rail seats, the waitresses that been around for 10 to 15 plus years. It's one of a few of Buckhead's redeeming establishments. I recommend breakfast, and if you're a fan of biscuits and gravy prepare for a mouthgasm. Get the CHICKEN BISCUITS & GRAVY by the way!!! Normally I'll work my way around the menu if I visit the same restaurant several times but I just can't deviate from those, they're too damn good. Fair warning you may drive by the place a few times, it's nearly impossible to find if you're traveling faster than 25mph.

I am a biscuits and gravy connoisseur. Since I left Texas in early 2006, it's hard to find this type of food in the North or West Coast. When I travel in the South, I always look for a place with good biscuits and gravy. White House was no disappointment. I think the biscuits have may have a slight hint of cornmeal in them, there are streaks of yellow throughout, but whatever it is gave it a wonderful flavor. The gravy was thick, full of sausage, and absolutely tasty! I can say beyond any shadow of a doubt that these biscuits absolutely do not come from a can. They are amazing. The service was good too, and the staff were friendly. It's not the prettiest place you'll ever eat breakfast, could definitely use some updates and modernization, but the food makes it all worth it.

I was born in New York. So every time I move to a new city, I find a relative lack of diners (Boston, Chicago, and now Atlanta). White House Restaurant fills the void. Good food, cheap food, the right atmosphere when I need it. I never really go to a diner to be blown away, per se. There are times when I'm in the mood for diner food; diner food mood. If that happens in Atlanta, I go here.

This place doesn't look like much, but it managed to cure three of the worst hangovers known to man. There is so much to be said about the food! Like Southern home cooking! Northerners should eat fried chicken for breakfast too! Oh goodness the BISCUITS! The service was great--our waitress kept the Coke flowing. And what's most memorable perhaps was the ice. I realize that this is strange and really shouldn't carry any weight, but the ice was DARN good!

White House has some very good food and service. They have been slammed every time I've been, and I see why. Even though I order an Omelette off their menu and then change a few things, they get it right every-time. My suggestion? Get the Greek Omelette and add American Cheese. It's money. Their grits are legit, and the fresh fruit is good as well. Why would I go here over all the other breakfast places in Atlanta? It's simple: the value. This place won't burn a hole in your wallet like many of the other places in Buckhead for brunch.

White House Restaurant wants to be known as 'Greek-style' diner, and you only appreciate a 'Greek-style' diner when you've been to one. I've been searching for one my whole stay in Atlanta (quite a few years). And, I'm delighted to say that White House Restaurant meets my expectations as a good one. For those of you wondering what the heck a 'Greek-style' diner is, you'll know one if you look for some of the following characteristics: -large menu, generous portions, definitely plenty to take home for tomorrow-those thoughtful baskets of bread and/or extras, at White House it's baklava after the meal on some specials (!!!) -lovely, lovely Greek toast (don't know if White House serves that yet) -admiring followers and regulars. In Chicago we looked for the squad cars outside and dining cops, for the cops always knew where the best diners were. It's location is in an ordinary little strip mall in Buckhead that you've probably driven past many times without thought. The front parking lot kinda blocks your view of knowing that a good restaurant actually exists there. Inside, the employees are welcoming and attentive. Our waitress was sassy and not afraid to be honest about good choices off the menu (she turned out to be very right). My party and I were impressed. Their burgers are HUGE! They come on brioche-like bun and include all of the fixins, and with steak fries. I'm looking forward to going back and trying one of their omeletes, much like the ones I remember back home years ago. The side dishes include many southern favorites, and rotate depending on the day. I'll have to make a few more visits to seal my opinion, but as for now, my palette is waiting to go back.

Great breakfast place! I enjoyed a Gyro omelette with egg whites - it was delicious! Best breakfast I have had in a long time! We arrived at 7:30 and by 8 it was packed!

I go here to meet with a client who lives a couple of miles away. Think Waffle House x 2, expense-wise. It's okay, but there is absolutely no reason to go unless you absolutely have to; it appears to be "the" place to go to for business in the mornings. And, yes, parking es un hassle.

Not sure what was White about the White House. It has defnitely been there for a long time so the name shoudl probab;y be changed to the off white or beige house. The people were very nice and this diner is exactly that, a diner. i think I may have seen Flo, Mel and Alice working there but I was not sure. The locals come to eat here and if you are in buckhead really really late or getting there earlier it may serve your purpose. For me it was ok. Don't order the healthy campaign fruit bowl was not that fresh but the eggs looked good. 3 stars -1 star because their is no way this one should be four stars -1 star for no gluten free (but did not expect it here)
