Great spot for eating in or takeout. It's a really nice spot for dates or families, and has a really nice patio. There's no such thing as bad queso in my book, so no surprise that was delis. We also loved the grilled chicken taco, fried chicken taco and pork taco. I wish we lived closer so we could add it in the weekly rotation! There were a couple tvs in the bar area too if you want to stop by for a casual bite to watch a game.

I don't like to give negative reviews, but this place is pure bunk. It has about as much culture as Applebee's. This place is more generic than generic can be. There are so many great restaurants so close. I guess I'm glad this place is a magnet for people who like bland, inauthentic junk to free up the better spots just nearby like Nuevo, Hankook, and Bone Garden. I almost gave it two stars for this benefit but just can't.

Freaking amazing tacos, but due to poor service, loud atmosphere, and not so good salsa I had to go with 3 stars. Highly recommend buffalo chicken taco and cheese dip!

2 point something stars. I totally struck out today. Red posole with pork. I wanted something reminiscent of NM. This was NOT it. The soup portion was blandddddd, almost like water. I squeezed the heck out the my lime to give it some flavor. Pork was non memorable. Note to self... do not try posole at a non-Mexican restaurant. Oh wait... Braised rib taco. Meat was more chewy than I cared for. I thought braised ribs are supposed to be so tender they fall apart with a touch of the fork. Grilled chicken taco. Where's the grilled smell/taste, man??! I asked if I could get bacon with it since it comes with the fried chicken taco but was not listed on the menu for this taco. How can one do bacon wrong?!?!? They were chunks of hardness and chewiness. I was seriously concerned that I might have lost a tooth from trying to consume this almost-brick. I was still hungry after these 3 but I did not dare risk another disappointment. The tacos were not as big as I imagined from another review. They charge for salsa (and apparently bacon). I tried the fajita quesadilla and this was the place's saving grace. The meat was flavorful and the quesadilla was slightly crispy. If I came back, I would only try a fajita dish. Not interested in trying to find parking in their small lot or risk life to cross the street for subpar food. Nice patio though. Live music on Fridays. Trivia on Thursdays.

Verde Taqueria opened its second location in 2011 in the Underwood Hills neighborhood of Westside (West Midtown). It took over the old Fox & Hounds space. Big Easy Grille is next door. Verde's original location opened in 2009 in Brookhaven. The restaurants are owned by Georgia Tech grads. Verde is an Americanized taqueria similar to Taqueria del Sol. Now several years old, the restaurant still feels somewhat new. The interior had been redesigned and looks modern and clean. The atmosphere is casual with a bar, plenty of TVs tuned to a variety of channels, booths, tables, and a covered outdoor patio. The restaurant is popular, especially on trivia nights, and parking can be limited. Therefore, complimentary valet is available. Unlike Taqueria del Sol, orders at Verde are placed at the table as opposed to upfront at a counter. Verde feels more like a sit-down restaurant in this regard. The specialty is tacos -- about a dozen different types. Other than quesadillas, there's not a whole lot else on the menu. They do sell plantains and churros (Spanish doughnuts). The tacos are huge. They aren't typical, small, authentic Mexican tacos. They are big American tacos loaded with a variety of non-traditional ingredients such as Applewood-smoked bacon and jalapeno ranch sauce. Tacos run about $4.00 each. Each taco comes wrapped in a single-layer, soft, flour tortilla shell. Because the tacos are large and stuffed with so many ingredients, they can be messy to eat. I've tried roughly half the tacos. Here's my ranking of what I've tried: 1. Pulled Pork - slow roasted pork with homemade BBQ sauce and coleslaw. This one tastes like it sounds, like Southern BBQ pulled pork inside a taco. There's a lot of meat in this taco and it is dense and well marinated. The slaw is a nice and essential addition. 2. Short Rib - braised beef short rib with pico de gallo and cilantro sour cream. The beef short rib is shredded in a similar consistency to the pulled pork. Also like the pork, there is a lot of meat and it is dense. Juicy, with lots of flavor. Pico is fine, but I prefer the slaw served on the pork and fried fish tacos. I like the cilantro sour cream. 3 (tie). Fried Fish - cornmeal-battered tilapia with coleslaw, fried jalapenos and chipotle aioli. This is a very tasty taco with nice big chunks of fried fish. The very salty fried jalapenos may not be needed. Chipotle aioli is delicious. 3 (tie). Fried Chicken - Applewood smoked bacon, field greens, tomato, and chipotle aioli. While not as tasty as the fried fish taco, I really like the vegetables in this taco. The greens and chicken make it taste "farm fresh" and the chipotle aioli is savory. 5. Buffalo Tofu - fried tofu tossed in buffalo sauce with diced celery and jalapeno ranch. Lots of tiny, soft tofu cubes and diced celery in this taco. Not bad, but they could probably cut back on the buffalo sauce, which is intense. If you think you're ordering healthy by getting tofu, think again. The house salsa isn't bad. It's a runnier salsa, seems freshly made, and is mildly spicy. I do think the guac is a little overpriced ($4.50) for what you get (a small cup). I've also tried the Verde Salad and it's "just" OK. The salad consists of chopped lettuce, black beans, shredded Chihuahua cheese, and diced tomato and red onion. The ingredients are sufficiently fresh and there's a generous portion of black beans and cheese. The cilantro vinaigrette dressing is good. Service is solid. Even on busy nights, the food comes out fast. Overall, Verde Taqueria is A-OK.

Stopped here for Taco Tuesday this past week thinking we could grab a cheap meal and couple of margaritas versus having to cook on a week night (lazy, I know). Place is oddly decorated. Like someone went to Goodwill and grabbed a bunch of random art pieces and threw them on the wall even though they don't fit or are too big/small. We ordered the special (philly cheesesteak tacos, caramelized pork tacos, and then some grilled chicken tacos that were not part of the special menu), one organic margarita, which was delicious, and babe had the vodkarita (pretty alright as well). Nothing on the menu wowed me. Boyfriend loved the philly cheesesteak tacos and I will admit they were tasty and had TONS of meat. Other than that, everything was mehhhhh. Not sure what kind of "special" they were having but our total came out to $60 without tips. Our server was cool so definitely tipped well but wouldn't ever come back here. For thirty bux more we could eat at an expensive place that'll actually make my taste buds happy. Usually tacos are $2 a pop on most taco nights I've been to, and these averaged to about $3.75 per taco. Oh! Almost forgot... this food has given me the most TERRIBLE and EMBARRASSING gas ever. I thought I was going to explode. Ufffffff. My poor boyfriend.

Who eats here, and why the heck does it have average 4 stars? I moved into the neighborhood about half a year ago. The last time I came to Verde was the night I moved in. Thi T. invited me for a last minute dinner get together. I completely forgot this place existed despite driving by it every day. Parking is pretty obnoxious for not being smack in the middle of town. There's a small lot that's shared with Big Easy Grill and some street parking. Parking is also on a weird slant. We chose to sit on the porch since the sun was still out. I have no idea why they had the fans on when it was only 50 degrees. Our waiter was pretty... non-present. Or rather, his presence kind of faded into the background. He never checked up on us to see if we were doing okay. I went with the fajita quesadilla. The steak was actually cooked pretty well. Pretty juicy, and flavorful. I really liked the chihuahua cheese, and the red and habanero peppers. Though, the habaneros could have been a little spicier. It comes with sour cream and salsa to dip, but I'm not much of a sauce person. Thi ordered the pozole soup, short rib taco, and grilled chicken taco. All of these items get negative stars from me. The pozole soup tasted like water with puffed up corn kernels. In fact, it was blander than water. Actually, everything was bland. There didn't seem to be any seasoning on the short ribs, or the chicken. Everything just tasted like... well, paper. The chicken, aside from being under-seasoned, was cooked okay. It lacked the char-grilled taste, but I can look past that. I remember now why I've only been here once in the past six months despite living across the street. TLDR; You're better off at Willy's. Seriously. Or actually Taqueria del Sol, Nuevo Laredo, or even Bone Garden Cantina if you're not looking Willy's "chain" style.

Simple menu but really tasty! We had all the fish / seafood tacos - fried fish really fresh and just rift amount of cabbage on it. Fried shrimp was super tasty - as was the calamari and their special of the day was an oyster po' boy taco! Was very good - the grilled fish was good but we were jonesing more for the fried ones. The bean dip, guacamole and salsa were also very good. Will definitely come back - but a great spot to sit and watch sports!

After some recent visits I'm afraid I have to change my review to 3 stars. I still like the location and LOVE the patio, but it wouldn't be the first place I recommended in the area. Lately the food has seemed a little sub-par. It's not bad or anything, just doesn't seem to be as fresh or have the same panache as before. I'd still recommend for their daily drink specials and love the guac and cheese dip there!

This place is right around the corner from my house. As such, I am destined to be a regular here. The drinks were wet and the tacos were cheap. Service was friendly. BUYER BEWARE: They do not have hard tacos, only soft. And if your daughter is a primadonna who insists on crunchy tacos like mine does, then you might want to leave this place for grown-up night. Or tell her to suck it up and eat the soft tacos, Anna Mae!

This will be short and sweet. Well not so sweet. The tacos here and quesadilla were lacking in flavor and just average at best. You could make better ones at home. We stopped in since we had passed the place several times. Sorry just not good. The patio was nice, that's about all the good I can say. It is a big place so I guess they do well, but with so many better options nearby like Taqueria Del Sol I don't know how they make it. Hate to be harsh, but sorry, Verde does not make my short list for tacos.

So good! Verde uses fresh ingredients for their yummy dishes. My favorite taco is the Grilled Fish taco with cilantro sour cream...I'm obsessed with cilantro. Verde's tacos are filling but won't leave you feeling stuffed at the end of your meal. The Black & Bleu quesadilla is awesome. They have great margaritas as well. Even the Shrimp & Grits taco was tasty--yeah, I know it sounds odd but it works.

This review is a special shout out to Colin. Congratulations! You are the worst server I've ever had. While I do love Verde (particularly this location), I am on a hiatus after my most recent experience. My best friend and I went on Saturday afternoon around 2:00 to enjoy their delightful patio. Given the odd time of day, it was obviously not that crowded. We were immediately seated and greeted by Colin. We promptly order a pitcher of frozen jalapeño margaritas and the queso, guacamole, and salsa trio. After he took our order, my friend and I both commented that our server wasn't particularly friendly. Fortunately the food runner came by quickly the trio and chips. 5-10 minutes later and he returned with the margaritas. Normal courtesy would be to pour the margaritas for the patrons. Nope, he slapped the two glasses and pitcher on the table and walked away. Miraculously I didn't spill any frozen jalapeño margarita while serving myself. I did, however, immediately note that the margarita was very bland and clearly lacking in the jalapeño juice. Once ol' buddy came back I told him that the margaritas didn't taste like they had any jalapeño in them. His response, "Oh yeah, we changed the mix and didn't want to make it too spicy so we didn't add much jalapeño juice." Okay d-bag, I've had both the normal and jalapeño margaritas here more times than I care to admit and can 100% tell you that these were not jalapeño margaritas. I'm an understanding person who waited tables for years. If you just admitted to me that you messed up and keyed in a pitcher of normal margs, we wouldn't have a problem, but once you flat out LIE to me rather than apologizing, then we have a issue. He begrudgingly took our pitcher back to the bar and got it corrected. BTW they most definitely had not changed the jalapeño mix. We decided against better judgment to order lunch. I went for my standby fried fish and pulled pork tacos. My friend went for the special and then started debating between the fried chicken or grilled fish for her other taco before settling on the grilled fish. The food runner brought the tacos about 5 minutes later, and my friend clearly had a pulled pork taco on her plate. We flagged down the hostess to get our server because he was nowhere to be found. Keep in mind last time I checked, it's proper protocol to come check to see how everything is within a few bites. Several minutes later, he comes over to ask what the problem is and instead of apologizing for his mistake yet again, this time he gives attitude. "Are you sure you didn't order the pulled pork?" At this point, she was fed up and didn't even want to grilled fish one. He definitely charged us for the wrong order though. Verde, do yourself a favor and fire this guy. He is not only incompetent but also incredibly rude. It's pretty bad when I want to take a break from one of my favorite restaurants because in Atlanta the service was so bad.

Amazing patio, fresh selections, something for everyone. The guac, salsa and queso are really fresh, tons of taco options to choose from, I love their salads and they offer both a full and a half size portion (the cilantro vinaigrette is where it's at on dressing). Buffalo chicken quesadilla...it's all amazing.

Niiiiiice! Ventured to another Mexican spot and instantly fell in love with their patio. If you've stumbled upon my other reviews you know I love patios, Mexican food, Lemon drop martinis and exceptional service. VT hit pretty much all of my soft spots. Patio kicks butt! Service left me feeling special! They have a vodka version of a Margarita that I LOVED! Now to the stuff that doesn't get the exclamatory (is that a word?) descriptions. I ordered black bean dip, queso dip, pulled pork, fried fish, and shrimp soft tacos. All was served piping hot and fresh. The meat/protein portions in tacos were PLENTIFUL but my taste buds were left emotionless as if I'd simply eaten wheat toast. The visual of the food had me turned on expecting a sensual eating experience. Not the case this time. I will return for sure. They deserve to see me again and I owe them a chance @ tantalizing my tastebuds with their other dishes. #tellingyouwhatithink #dpursuitisreal

I love love love Verde. Been a frequent customer since 2010 between the two locations. Never had bad service. What to get - frozen jalapeño margarita is amazing. Just delish. The trio of queso, guac and salsa is a must have. While their salsa is good, it's not amazing. But the guac is fresh. Queso is hot (you can get jalapeños or not). Fried fish taco is great. Fried shrimp taco is killer good. Also like the fried calamari and pulled pork tacos. Not sure I've ever had bad food there. I usually get two tacos. The tacos are overflowing with ingredients which is nice. The patio is nice and semi-shaded. Parking isn't optimal but you get over it. Of course this place is an all time favorite in Atlanta for me. Never had a bad experience at verde.

Verde is the first place of when I think tacos in Atlanta. The atmosphere is perfect either for a Friday night date or an evening out with the ladies. The patio stays pretty packed, but it just gives you more time to drink their killer margaritas while you wait. The pineapple habañero special they have is pretty fantastic! As far as food goes, the buffalo quesadilla is a must try. It's packed with rich blue cheese, black beans, chicken, cheese and wing sauce. Yummm. Taco-wise, the calamari is a crowd favorite it seems but I have a special place in my stomach for the green curry or sloppy joe tacos that they run on special. In fact, I call every Monday to see what the new taco of the week is....they are that good!

The first time I ate at Verde Taqueria I didn't want to believe how much I liked it. It was a rainy day and I was recovering from a late night - of course I was going to like whatever tacos you put in front of me. But then I went again.. And again.. And it's true, I am in love with this place. You can't beat tacos that are about $3 each, loaded with delicious fillings like fried calamari or short rib. I especially love the fried calamari and they throw in fried jalapeño slices too. They also have some of the best queso dip I've had! My typical meal there is an order of queso and salsa, a half portion of the verde salad (which is still big) and one taco. It's not easy ordering just ONE taco but necessary after indulging in so many chips and dip. The service is always friendly when I go whether I'm eating there or taking out. I haven't tried their infused tequila yet but it's definitely on my to-do list. Parking is a bit tight but they have complimentary valet for super busy times. Really, you have no reason to not go and gorge on tacos!

After 3 years they have finally added some new options to the menu. A much welcome change but not enough to keep this place interesting. It is toddler central, if you have young kids this is the place for you. Also, I absolutely RESENT the fact that they force you to valet park here. One look at their very manageable parking lot and you can understand why this is a ridiculous imposition. The one thing I do like is that they offer corn tortillas as a substation option.

I have been to this place uh... when it was called Fox and Hound. Like yeeeears ago. I had no idea the inside was so big. Stopped in for lunch at about 1:15 on a Thursday. I had to start with queso. Because, cheese. Aaron, our server, put the jalapeños on the side for me because I'm not into that. I am such a wuss. The queso was just how I like it. Blanco and creamy. The salsa is fresh and tasty, and not spicy, which is great for me. I ordered the soup of the day which was chicken tortilla, and a grilled chicken taco! The soup was very good though not what I expected - it was not chicken broth-y but a bit more beany :) with the consistency being closer - on the official broth spectrum I just made up - to a stew or chili. Very good. I didn't ask for sour cream and I wasn't offered it, but it probably would have been a tasty addition. The taco was also tasty but a bit spicy - probably due to that Chipotle aioli or the chicken rub spices!! I tried this one because it sounded healthier, but I ended up picking it apart and only eating the chicken and the soft tortilla. They have a ton of different tacos though so I would go back and try another kind! Nice patio out front.. parking is limited though. Enjoy yourself!

This is by far one of my favorite places to get tacos in Atlanta. If you go with a group of people, the trio is definitely worth sharing. Everything is always fresh and delicious. The only thing I would stay away from is the special of the sloppy joe taco. I've never tried it but none of my friends cared for it. The staff is always nice and prompt but, they have hired some new people lately and it takes them a bit to get up to speed sometimes. I say this because my friends and I go pretty religiously every Sunday afternoon. When we get a new person, it is slightly frustrating because they always seem to mess something up, never intentionally, but something always goes wrong. We are regulars and like to be treated as such. I think they give us new people as part of their initiation or something! But the food is always good. The verde salad is one of my personal favorites along with their plantains.

Woohoo, speedy service, awesome tacos, loads of chips, big drink menu! Stopped into Verde on a recent Thursday with a friend. The atmosphere is extremely relaxed and family friendly. They have a welcoming bar and a fairly large patio that I'm sure is a popular summer day drinking spot (despite the fairly unappealing view of Collier). The space is modern and large with three separate rooms all filled with tables and booths. The menu at Verde is simple - starters, salads, quesadillas and tacos. We had some straightforward queso & salsa with chips. No complaints about it and additional baskets of chips are free. I order a grilled fish tacos and a shrimp taco and would order both of them again. Typically $3 tacos at places like Verde are a little wimpy, but there's were robust and delicious. My friend had a fried chicken taco that I was rather jealous of. It came with spinach, fresh tomatoes, chipotle aioli and bites of bacon. Verde only got 4 stars from me because they have valet parking. I found this a little annoying on a Thursday night at such a casual restaurant. Otherwise, I thought they were great and would love to come back.

This is ok. Not great, not bad. Could give this place another try when I'm in the area. Had the grilled firsh, fried shrimp, fried chicken tacos. They were tasty. The bbq quesadilla was nice, meat was tender and shredded finely.

I've been to Verde twice now and I had a great experience both times. There is normally no wait (that I've gone) to seat and everyone is friendly. Their tacos are greatly priced. About $3-$4 for one, but they stuff them to edges. I always get three and I have to slow down a lot after the second taco. Try their jalapeño queso too though, not spicy at all but still gives it a good bite. I recommend the fried fish and fried shrimp tacos. Anything with their chipotle sauce is a must have!

I'm surprised at myself. I'm an authentic taco fan. I'm not a fan of Americanized tacos with flour tortilla with all sorts of weird crap in it. Maybe I'm getting more tolerant, but I thought the Verde's tacos weren't that bad. I tried 3 tacos (descriptions straight from their menu): * Fried shrimp - Dusted in cornmeal & fried, with a spicy cocktail sauce & pico de gallo. * Grilled Chicken - Spice rubbed grilled chicken with field greens, tomato, & chipotle aioli * Fajita steak with grilled onions, poblano & red bell peppers, & salsa Verde My first impression of these tacos was their huge size. They stuffed the heck out of these tacos. There is no way you can pick up their tacos without stuff falling out. You need some silverware, or your hands, to pick up the remaining pieces. I thought they grilled and fried their meats well. All the ingredients seemed fresh. All the various sauces and crap they put in there worked. Like I said, they weren't bad. I liked the Fried Shrimp and the Grilled Chicken tacos. I think it was because of the spicy cocktail sauce and the chipotle aioli sauce. The heat from those sauces added a nice kick to the flavors of the tacos. And as I mentioned earlier, the meats were grilled and fried well. The service was attentive and courteous. I enjoyed my meal. If I'm in the mood for some American tacos, I would come here.

Fast and friendly service. It's your normal semi-American Mexican fare but I really enjoyed it compared to Taqueria del Sol. The place is really clean (restrooms included) and the service comes speed lightening fast! I ordered the ground beef taco and the grilled fish taco. Both were equally delicious depending on what you were going for. The fish taco was well seasoned and topped with some type of dressing and coleslaw. It has a fresh taste and wasn't too heavy. The ground beef taco was a more traditional American fare but was packed with meat and was very, very good. We also had a pitcher of Texas margaritas. Overall, I need to go back. Soon!

Consistently delicious! Our favorites include veggie tacos (sans peppers) and fried chicken tacos. The trio is really great, and they keep the chips coming! All of this with a great patio option... The only thing that is taking this down one star is that the waitstaff is rude. They don't ever check on your meal or drinks and are so quick to get you in and out, even mid-day when you're the only table in the restaurant.

This is really a 4.5, but I was so impressed by the service, the Casa salad (and particularly with the cilantro vinaigrette), and the short rib and steak tacos that I'll be a little extra generous here. What needed improvement: the grilled fish taco. The cabbage slaw on the taco was fine, but the fish either wasn't super fresh or needed a different seasoning to make it really "pop". As it was, my taco experience was pretty bland, so much so that I ditched the most of the corn tortilla bits and just ate the taco innards (more out of a sense of obligation than out of relish). But the salad? Oh my goodness. I got a half order of the Casa salad ($4) with cilantro vinaigrette and was so pleasantly surprised on a variety of different levels: the portion size for the price (way better than I've ever seen in a restaurant with this type of ambience, I can tell you that much); the freshness of the ingredients, and the savory-crunchy-delish taste of the actual salad itself; tiny chunks of thick cut bacon, feta or goat cheese (not sure which), chopped ripe tomatoes, and legit salad greens. No iceberg lettuce here!! It also comes with a small serving of guac which I am sure would have added to the deliciousness, but we reserved that for our chips. The salad dressing was my fave part of the meal, though. They need to sell that stuff by the bottle!! Our server was very attentive, and came by our table pretty frequently to not only top off water, but also bring by extra napkins without prompting (which was really thoughtful and often overlooked, I feel), as well as refill our salsa (!! critically important, in my opinion). Overall, we definitely had a good experience, for what it's worth. Is this place authentic? N-O. (Refer to the buffalo chicken taco... probably not the item to impress your purist friends, but great if you are just craving buffalo chicken). But is it fast, fresh, tasty, and affordable (4 tacos, half salad and chips w/salsa for $22 pre-tip)? Yup. And sometimes that's all I need or want. Hence, the coveted 5 stars.

Taqueria del Sol is still my favorite, but this is a solid second in Atlanta. The list of tacos is pretty varied, and I feel like you get a lot of meat/food for your money. We ordered a pitcher of tito-ritas for the table (margaritas with vodka, not tequila) and split the trio (salsa, queso, guac). I had the pulled pork and steak fajita tacos, and both were pretty good. I especially liked the steak taco because the peppers were really fresh and flavorful. Everyone was pretty happy with everything they ordered, so ti all seems good! Two downsides: our service was really slow, and parking can be a pain. We were out for girls' night, so we didn't really mind the slow service, but I can see it being annoying in another circumstance. They do have a parking lot, but it's pretty small and can fill up quickly. I found parking on the street but had to look for a bit. This is $ for food but $$ if you start adding in drinks.

Great service and good food. I'm not a huge fan of the drinks, but that's neither here nor there. The shrimp and grits tacos are soooo good!!! If you can catch this special, you will thank me. The few times that I've been, it's never been a wait which is a plus. Definitely a neighborhood spot.

Lacking in any spice or flavor. Even the salsa was mild. Leaves you wanting real Mexican.

I'll keep it short and simple. The short rib taco looked and tasted a bit like pulled pork. Grilled fish taco was ok. Fried chicken taco was a no. Fried fish was probably the better taco out of the four. Love the chipotle aioli sauce. Their salsa was not that great. Some pros is the service! Love the service and the price. Patio is very relaxing and pleasant to enjoy your meal at. I'd only come here if I wanted a quick taco fix, but not if I was craving really good tacos.

I've been to verde taqueria a few times now and it has been a bit of a roller coaster ride in terms of satisfaction. I was pleasantly surprised when I came to this restaurant. The house margarita is delicious! I had the special, barbacoa along with the fried calamari--both yummy! These tacos are bigger than your average taqueria style taco, so 2 should have you satisfied. Others at the table did not enjoy the short rib taco as much, so stay away from that. Another person at the table got a quesadilla and it looked good, I will have to try that next time I go. My most recent visit they changed their parking to Valet (although that might be due to the construction) and their service was pretty slow, so it might be a little while before I head back their way, but I still give them 4 stars for their great house margarita and decent tacos.

What can I say? For a casual Friday night (or Sunday or Tuesday...you get the point), Verde is hands down my favorite go-to casual spot in Atlanta. Great patio, sit-down service with rarely a wait, great margaritas, and of course great tacos. My favorite things on the menu? The chips and queso, casa salad, and fried fish taco. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. If you need a fun, low key spot with delicious food that won't break the bank, Verde's the place. You'll probably see me there...after all, my husband and I go at least once a week!

Wow have they gone downhill in all aspects. We stopped in for a late lunch on Saturday and from start to finish, we were unimpressed. We were seated immediately, but had to wait a while for our server. He started walking away before I even finished my drink order. What? We got the guacamole again and it was bland. I had to add salt to give it any flavor. If I have to salt your guacamole, you're doing something seriously wrong. This time I got the short rib taco and the fried chicken taco and boy got the fried shrimp taco and the fajita steak taco. They were smaller than I remember, especially for the price. None of them blew me away. I had a much better taco at Raging Burrito the previous night. With tip, the bill came to $28 for 4 tacos, an app, and 2 non alcoholic drinks. Definitely not worth the cost of the quality of food and service. Considering the parking lot is always packed, I fail to see the appeal. Maybe they're a better bar and that's what keeps people coming? We won't be back.

Move over Taqueria Del Sol, Verde has you beat. This restaurant is in the former location of the Fox and Hound pub. I used to frequent it many moons ago when I lived down the street. However, this concept seems to fit the location even better. Family friendly and excellent food. Plenty of indoor seating and outdoor patio. We arrived on a Saturday night with a party of 6 (kids included) at 6ish and were seated immediately. The place was fairly busy. Families everywhere, but not too chaotic. Excellent margaritas. I opted for the mango- deelish! I'm so used to little filling in tacos elsewhere, I opted for 3 instead of 2. Big mistake. These things are HUGE! Bursting with filling. I had the special bang bang shrimp and 2 fish tacos. AMAZING! The shrimp was super tasty, but the fish tacos is where it's at. Huge pieces of perfectly fried fish, crunchy tasty slaw and some sort of sauce. Some of the best fish tacos I've had. Others at the table raved about the pork tacos. My kids loved the beef tacos, which were also huge. Queso was divine and the chips were hot and fresh. The salsa was SO good. Some of the best chips and salsa I've had- seriously! Reasonably priced, kid friendly and super delicious! Definitely a staple from now on when we come to town.

I really want to like this place, the tacos are okay, the concept is good, and the service has always been good. However, every time of the 3 that I've been, there have been so many screaming kids. It feels like a McDonald's playground at times. Families have just as much right to be there as I do, but it's not the place to go for a relaxed, ambient adult evening and that's not something I can get over.

Everything at this place is better than I expected from the service to the cuisine. Try the infused margaritas and they WILL infuse the frozen ones for you if you ask nicely. Only reason I'm not giving five stars is because they don't have Verde salsa and the name of the place is "Verde". It was kind of disappointing since I don't care for salsa rojo.

Great food and atmosphere. Friday night they had live music outside on the porch. Started with queso and salsa. Salsa was so good. Fish taco and pulled pork taco were both delicious. The only reason they get a 4 start rather than 5 is because they don't make their own tortillas like my favorite taco joint, Dragonfly in Alabama.

I prefer Verde to Taqueria del Sol and Tin Lizzy's. It's a great place to go on a Friday night when you don't have anywhere else to be (because sometimes it can take a while). Start with a pitcher of the texas margaritas- way better than just a house margarita. I always get the triple appetizer plate with salsa, guac, and jalapeno queso (add ground beef). All of these are better than your average tex-mex fare. I should stop at the chips alone but I always end up ordering two tacos which will set me over the edge. My favorite part about this place are the tacos. They're twice as big as Taqueria or Tin Lizzy's with three times as much meat. But they are GOOD and worth the higher prices.

As a former employee, I can tell you that this is hands down the cleanest restaurant I have ever worked in. I still go back very often to eat there. The staff is friendly and fast. I would highly recommend the shrimp and grits taco and the Verde salad with buffalo shrimp. Almost everything is made from scratch. The only thing that may be a downfall for some people is the presence of a lot of children.

We went here after La Parilla just down the street had an hour and a half wait. We were seated immediately and had our drink orders taken. I went nearly the entire meal without having anything to drink. When the waitress did come back to check on us (the one time just to bring our check) I told her about the drink situation. Instead of maybe apologizing and/or hurrying and bringing something, she said "I'm such a jackass!" and was gone for another 5-7 minutes. Besides that everything was ok for the most part. The service was just lackluster.

Love their shrimp and pulled pork tacos. Great margaritas. Order their trio of cheese dip, salsa and guacamole - yum! I like that they don't skimp on the fillings for their tacos either - I always leave feeling crazy stuffed. Good price for the amount of food you get. Consistent every time I've been. One of my favorite taco spots in town. The only con is that it can get really loud at night, to the point where I feel like I have to scream in order to talk.

This place is pretty good and is never too busy. I really enjoy the Buffalo Chicken Taco and always look forward to their weekly specials. That said the only thing I have a problem with is the speed of their service. It usually takes all my lunch hour to get fed and get out of there. Most restaurants are a little quicker in the area. I still enjoy going here though and will definitely keep going despite the slow service.

Wow VERDE VERDE VERDE!!! I love this place in so man ways. For one the tacos are only 3 to 4 bucks!! Drinks affordable!!! The setup isn't to formal but not to causal depending on if you sit inside or outside!! I taken dates there and we always seem to enjoy ourselves!! Definitely a great 1st date place cause after you can take a nice little drive to Piedmont Park and walk off that food and drinks you had!!!

This place gets a 3 star for two reasons. 1) I don't mind kids but it seems everyone brings their kids to this place and those hellians are always loud and a nuisance. It's like every parent that visits this establishment doesn't discipline their offspring. 2). The drinks here suck and are way overpriced. On top of that the drinks are so watered down with very little alcohol. This is happened to us on many visits here. Maybe it is because of all the parents driving home with those rug rats are lessikely to wreck if their drinks have a dash of alcohol in them. The food here is quite tasty on the other hand. The specials are always tasty and the BBQ quesadilla is faboo.

I loooove this place! The food is delicious, fresh, and cheap. The grilled chicken tacos are seasoned perfectly... Spicy, but not so spicy that you can't eat it. They also have the best frozen margaritas I've ever had!! The fact that this place is walking distance from my apartment is probably my favorite thing about living in Atlanta. :)
(5)
Frank T.
Always start with the jalapeño queso! My wife and I have probably been here 10-20 times and it's always been consistent with the quality of food. I've had almost all flavors of the tacos beef, steak, fried fish, grilled fish, buffalo chicken, etc. Some cheese dip and a couple of tacos, we always leave stuffed and for a great price. Depending on what day you go, the drink specials are pretty good too. I did venture last time and tried a side of black beans, meh, wouldn't recommend it.

How tasty! The tacos here are GINORMOUS! and the house margarita is quite tasty as well!! here's what I got to try: -calamari: clean flavor (not overly fishy/calamari-y) but a little bland -fried shrimp: first few bites were DELISH! piping hot and crisp with good tang from the cocktail sauce.....but 2 min later, turned to mush due to excess liquid. so i def suggest eating this one FIRST! -fried chicken: yum! i liked this one quite a bit--the chicken isnt SUPER juicy....but it held up against the aioli, bacon, and lettuce -fajita steak: yum yum yum, i also recom eating this one first....its very juicy and has a bit of a kick all in all....i can't wait to come back and try more tacos!

This place is a great value. Good food at excellent prices, and prompt, friendly service all around. The house infused tequilas are some of the best in the city, and the bartenders remember your name. Excellent place to grab a quick bite, or catch a Braves game.

This has become my spot to satisfy my taco cravings. I can't stop raving about the portion size with the tacos, they pile on the proteins! I tell friends if you normally would get 3 tacos at one of the other Atlanta spots, get two here. The only problem can be with the salsa or whatever that gets on top. Because it takes longer to eat the taco, there's more wetness that soaks through the taco. Messy! There's a point you're better off grabbing a fork. The drinks aren't too exciting to me, I guess I like a little more options so to me they were just standard run of the mill margaritas. Drink sizes are fine though (hate ordering a margarita and having it be downable in two gulps because of small glasses and too much ice). The fried shrimp tacos are my favorite and worth going for alone.

This is consistently one of my favorite places to drop in for a quick margarita, chips, and tacos. I have never had bad service, but today's service by Garyn was perfect. He refilled our drinks without interrupting, gave us plenty of time to enjoy our queso and guac before we were ready to order tacos, and was just generally friendly, funny, and pleasant to interact with. The food was fast, fresh, and delicious, and we sat out on the lovely patio in the sunshine. What could be better?

These tacos are ASTOUNDING. The bartender is attentive and the tacos are amazing. Oh, did I say that already? Do yourself a favor. Come here and eat tacos.

I would not recommend this place for vegetarians. Their buffalo tofu taco is quite possibly the worst tofu dish and taco I've ever had at a restaurant. Their choice of crunchy tofu bites was just odd. Their veggie taco was just ok. The meat eaters with me enjoyed the tacos, with fajita steak being the most popular. I was a fan of the cheese dip. Would like to go back to drink as this was a work lunch.

Great bartender! Best Calamari! Perfect dirty martinis! SN: I ordered about 4 or 5 different tacos/burritos...not good. I get the idea...sounded good...but wasn't.

Really enjoyed our experience here! It was a Friday night there was a little bit of a wait but there was some room at the bar, so we enjoyed a glass of fat tire. When we got to our table the service was friendly and helpful. We ordered chips and salsa, and the calamari for starters. They came quickly and had great flavor and presentation. We also had the fried chicken tacos, they were pretty good, a little bit dry but still tasty! Over all this place has a nice atmosphere, good food and great service. We will certainly return. Oh and the prices are very reasonable!

Came here for lunch, and was surprised how good the food was considering it was empty. Basically this is taco joint (in the old Fox and Hounds on Collier location), has about the same prices as Taqueria del sol, except without the insane line. Verde Taqueria wins over Taqueria del sol for lunch for a few reasons. 1. No insane line. 2. Tacos much more generous with meat (very meaty) for about the same price 3. Sit down waitress service. 4. Lots of big TV's (not just a few small ones) to watch sports and lots of patio seating. I got the short rib taco and the calamari taco, both were excellent! and HUGE. I'd normally order 3 tacos at taqueria del sol, but at Verde Taqueria, I only needed two. I also ordered a side of fried plantains, they were good, but nothing to write home about. Chips and salsa for the group was good, although we all felt the salsa was a little on the mild/safe side. Now I didn't experience the valet parking other yelpers have mentioned (must be a dinner thing). But um yeah, I would not valet for tacos. I get that parking is limited here, but people are grown ups and can figure it out.

Love everything. Buffalo chicken taco is a must. The margaritas are yummy. Verde is my go-to for dinner. It has something for everyone. I love their shrimp and grit taco- Soooo yummy. Another great one is BBQ pork (tons of meat Carolina style). Also-love the casa salad. Half is plenty :) Great place, great service and cheap to boot! I will say sometimes (thurs-Saturday) they have valet... Kinda sucks but it's free and the guys that run it are really nice. :)

My favorite taqueria in Atlanta so far. The tacos are wonderful both in taste and amount of topping, particularly considering the price. I really like how each taco type comes with its own set of toppings along with the main protein. I highly recommend the shrimp taco and the short rib taco. The drink selection could be improved... I like their normal margarita, but their other flavored margaritas are... ok. With everything else very good, the margarita stood out as a weakness. Hence my reason for a four star. I would give them 5 stars for the tacos. The staff are friendly and the interior/porch is nicely decorated with "verde" items which give it a refreshing atmosphere. I would recommend this establishment to anyone, including those who may not normally be hungry for tacos. edit: Im not sure why, but the staff are completely different between lunch hours and dinner hours. The lunch staff are amazing - professional, pleasant, and quick - I would say among the best waiters/waitresses Ive met in Atlanta! But it drowns down to a terrible lull (really informal, slow, and crass) in the evening, perhaps because there are more families eating there at night... If at all possible, go there for lunch!

I've been to this location of Verde twice since they opened, and have enjoyed the service and food both times. While this location is great and all, I still prefer the Brookhaven location because it is a little more intimate and quaint. Like I said the service at this location and the food are both great, just as good as the Brookhaven Verde. I'm always able to eat and drink on the cheap here while having a good meal. The restaurant is fixed up nicely and suited for a casual dinner inside, a nice night or day spent on the patio, or watching football at the bar area. The one downside to this Verde that I hate is valet parking. I just can't stand valet parking. I have to feel obligated to tip a guy that drives my car into the parking lot that is in front of the restaurant rather than parking it myself. While I understand parking can be an issue on a busy night I try to avoid using the valet. Luckily I have a friend across the street and park in his lot to walk over. Other than the valet parking, this location of Verde has my vote. Great food, great drinks, and great service!

Yeah so verde. great lil place. EXCELLENT PATIO stopped in here with a group of work friends on a couple hour break. service was fast and friendly. not to mention chatty and funny, which is always a bonus. they had awesome beer specials. 2 dollar pbr tall boys or 2 dollar tecate. since it was just a quick stop i grabbed just one taco but man was it tasty. and everything on it was so fresh. All atound a nice place.ill deff have to stop.by more often. must reiterate this time of year during the day yhe patio is amazing.

This place is so disorganized. Sat at the bar for a cold one before eating and the bartender tells me they're out. I made a suggestion of how to handle it and he agrees that's "brilliant". Didn't trust them to order food so headed out to a nearby better place.

Love this place! Free chips and salsa when you sit down. Very fast service. The brisket taco is delicious. You should also ask for the cheesesteak taco.. it's not on the menu but it's DELICIOUS! I will definitely be going back here!

No. Just no. Everything we were served was straight out of a bag or a freezer and my taco was a sopping-wet case of watery beef. There are so many far-better Mexican options really close by that it makes no sense to ever go back.

Dirt cheap giant tacos. Personally I like them better than Taqueria del Sol, so if I am in the mood for tacos and on that side of town, I'd stop by for lunch any time.

Great restaurant on the Westside. The service is great and really quick. Food is excellent. Monday night margaritas are fun, the quadzilla is a great appetizer. Tacos are all really good.

Went here on a Monday night with some friends...house margaritas are only $4 on Mondays! I got the soup of the day (good, but not amazing) and the grilled fish taco, which was loaded with delicious fish, I was surprised by how full I was. The service wasn't great, our server was sort of....odd? She assumed that I knew what "Chicken Margarita" soup was and seemed annoyed when I asked her to describe it to me.....You know...'Cause it's Chicken Margarita soup. Duh. Everybody knows what that is. As for people whining that Buford highway tacos are better/cheaper...well yea, of course they are, but if you live in Brookhaven this is a great little spot to have a nice patio dinner with friends and get some pretty decent tacos/margaritas. I'll be back!

Verde is now one of my go-to restaurants when I am craving margaritas and cheese dip. The food is always good and fresh, and the place never seems too crowded, even on a Friday or Saturday night. My friends and I like to go here on Thursday nights for Trivia because it's usually a smaller crowd so you actually have a pretty good chance at winning a gift card most of the time. I expect it to get more busy over time as more apartments start popping up in the area, but for now it is one of my favorite little neighborhood secrets!

We came to Verde after looking for a good mexican spot by where we were staying (Buckhead). The place was already really crowded. The valet parking guy was nice enough to suggest that we park right next to his designated area because there had been a few break-ins down the block, so thanks for that. The layout is nice and airy, and our server was really nice and helpful. Definitely try the short rib taco, it was delicious. This is a great place for 'American-style' mexican food (closer to a chain restaurant in feel...there were TVs all over with sports, lots of bros with their dates, etc). Not particularly authentic, but definitely delicious!

Love the tacos so far I had only tried the chicken grilled and fajita steak. Margaritas are the best and service is fast. Prices are reasonable and perhaps they could add some specials for the day. Margaritas are soo good. Love this place. Simple menu but very good food.

Awesome neighborhood place with very reasonable prices and friendly employees. I've dined in and carried out at this location and never had one complaint. The food is very filling...I can barely finish two of their tacos in one setting. I also like that it is kid and sports fan friendly with several TV monitors throughout. I love their creamy queso dip which has a slight kick to it. The calamari tacos are my favorite; seasoned to perfection with a nice crunch. I also like the buffalo chicken tacos but with slaw on top. The tofu taco is not bad if your a vegetarian, but I prefer the real thing.

The Texas margs are delish! More outdoor seating than Fox & Hounds because of smaller tables. Great service. The steak tacos are wonderful. So glad they are here.

Visited Verde on a pretty slow Sunday afternoon. The menu is pretty simple-- mostly tacos and quesadilla. But there any many different option to keep it from getting boring. We started with the calamari which was pretty good. For the main event, I had a combination of grilled chicken and buffalo chicken tacos. They were both exceptionally well prepared with non standard taco toppings. All The restaurant also has pretty good margaritas as you would expect. This place is a must visit if you're craving tacos and some good libations at a very reasonable price.

I had been looking forward to trying out Verde Taqueria since its opening; the crowds finally died down and I had my change. Come to find out, I wasn't missing much. The food was.. ehh.. .okay. Nothing spectacular. The mexican rice was just rice with some red specks. The beans were super bland. The taco, while of fairly copious portions, were just flavorless chicken, fish, veggies {insert your taco filling here} with some multi-colored mayo squirted atop. If you're a 5 year old with an undeveloped palette, the food at Verde will rock your world. If you're an adult who appreciates at least a little complexity, keep searching. Speaking of 5 year olds, Verde Taqueria is definitely a family place. Not a bad thing... just note that it will be impossible to get a nice table without screaming kids near by. One positive, the $5 "skinny" margarita was pretty good. The waiter described it as a margarita sans syrup mix, sweetened with agave nectar. That was the one shiny spot in an overall dull meal. Then the check came. $40 for some bland tacos and two margaritas!?

I can't believe I hadn't yet reviewed Verde!! Went there again today (6th or 7th time since this location opened). I personally love almost every taco I've tried. They always have a special taco of the day - I love the cuban one best. Yumm!! The fried chicken taco is always tasty. I've had the pulled pork one once; it was good. And the fried fish one was also good. I will say that today I tried the ground beef one for the 1st time. I wish it had a little something extra on it. It was fairly dry. It came with sour cream, but that didn't help. Once I added some of their yummy salsa, all was fine again. Their salsa has a nice kick to it, which I thoroughly enjoy. My friend always gets the BBQ quesadilla. And we always start with their queso. Can't say it's the best I've ever had, but I do enjoy it. One thing that I *really* appreciate is how full the tacos are. I love the taste of tacos at a couple other restaurants, but one in particular is comparatively stingy with the fillings. Verde gets it right every time!! I will definitely visit them again & again. And we've yet to have bad service.

I tried this place for the first time yesterday and neither myself nor anyone in my group were disappointed. I ordered the fried chicken taco and the fried fish taco and both were very good. The fish taco was flavorful and not disappointing at all. The fried chicken taco consists of fried chicken, Applewood smoked bacon, field greens, tomato, & chipotle aioli and the fried fish taco is cornmeal dusted fried tilapia with fresh coleslaw, fried jalapeños, & chipotle aioli. Again, both were very tasty. Chips and salsa are not given freely like a lot of restaurants but that was fine and the $1.25 cost was well worth it - their salsa was really good. Total cost of my meal (I just had water to drink) was about $7.25 which was great. Verde Taqueria has made it into my work group's lunch rotation so we will definitely be back!

There's been some negative word around town about this place opening up in Fox & Hound Pub's old local. I have to admit, I was a bit disappointed myself since I can no longer tell people I live near Fox & Hound, but we went over for opening night anyway. :) If you're familiar with the address because of Fox & Hound, or even the Big Easy Grill, which shares the strip, then you know the parking is very limited. On top of a small lot, Verde has valet. To me this is just an added frustration because I'm not a big fan of valet in general (I'm a petite girl & I hate to re adjust my seat after a man's been driving my car!) As a resident of the area I get annoyed that the valets are parking cars on the shoulder of the road which sometimes ends up causing traffic lulls while they maneuver cars around. Hopefully this is just a short term solution & they will work out a deal with a business next door to share parking spaces, or something to that extent? But here's a run down on what you actually care about, the restaurant itself: This is the second location for Verde Taqueria (the first being on Dresden in Brookhaven) so they've had some time to develop a menu that is simple, but satisfies. decent prices (tacos are around $3.50 & Quesadillas $7) with good serving sizes. I almost couldn't close my taco to eat it. Items are a la carte, but again the sides are not expensive & good sized ($1.25 each for rice, beans & coleslaw. $1.75 for fried plantains) No free chips & salsa, but it's only $1.25 and well worth it. That "slight jalapeño kick" = heaven for my taste buds. The design of the restaurant is very sleek & modern, with a small bar/sitting area on one side and typical dinning on the other. Also, a nice sized outside area that's covered. As for the service, we went on the first night and it was pretty dead and over staffed, so I can't be a judge of how it is really until I go on a busier night. Overall, I think this place could become a regular hang out for my friends & I, but we'll have to give it a couple of visits over time while they settle into the location to really tell. And I'll probably just walk over from now on so I don't have to deal with parking. :)

If your reading reviews debating on weyher to eat here or not.....EAT HERE THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS. hGreat food..... after just coming back from California, find good authentic Mexican food was getting hard. Stopped by this place and was overjoyed. Everything was great. Food great. Drinks great. Customer service great. If I wasn't so full I would've had dessert I'm sure that it's great too.

Drove by this place on and stopped in on a whim. Sometimes the best food I've eaten have been discovered this way... First off the space is cool, very industrial chic...and HUGE. Came late on a Sunday and there were only a few people sitting at the bar. Split a fried calamari taco, short rib taco, and their special of the night, sloppy joe taco with frito chips in it. The calamari in the taco was amazing! Next time considering getting it just as the appetizer, but I thought it was just as good in the taco. The sloppy joe was o.k.. Tasted basically like ground beef tacos. And the short rib was really tender and well marinated. Overall all the tacos were super fresh and well flavored. Would advise either to split 3 tacos, or get 2 full ones for yourself since each one is decently sized.

Stopped in to meet a friend for some drinks. Great cheap chips and salsa and really friendly bartender. I love how they're transformed the inside (I knew this location when it was Fox N Hound) and can't wait for the weather to change because this is a fantastic and good size patio. Didn't sample the tacos this visit, but lots of great options and good prices. Nice low key atmosphere with nice service and cheap eats. Win.

This is for the Collier location. I've never tried Brookhaven. I hate that I"m about to give such a low review. I really wanted this to be an outstanding new hangout. My biggest complaint was that most of the food choices were way on the fried side, and I don't mean Panko fried. It's pretty fried, fried. I had calamari, which was ok, but once you've had calamari from Fish Market or Nan, it's pretty hard to find a rival. Tacos were ok... overstuffed and not big on flavor. Taqueria del Sol still owns the fusion soft taco on the westside. The prices were great, and the drink specials were notable. The atmosphere was fun, yet loud (all hard surfaces.) Should be a fun place in spring. And to give it the true benefit of the doubt, I will try it again. But next time, I will order differently.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Had a party catered for 30 people. The communication was prompt and thorough even after I changed the number of people. If you are having a party with a big group I highly suggest it.

(2)Sophie H.

(3)Kisha M.
(3)Laura R.
LOVE coming here for the verde Salad. By far my favorite place to go on a Saturday for bottomless mimosa.
(5)Mark B.
(2)Candyce V.
(4)Ryan C.
Went to Verde on Friday for some tacos and a margarita. Was outstanding! Chris the bartender was engaging and hilarious. The Serrano pepper infused margarita was unreal. Definitely the best taco joint ITP!

The food was great and the service was great. Parking is a bit limited from what I could see but I managed to find a spot on the street after several minutes. I would recommend this place
(4)Theresa C.
(5)Loni S.
Love this place--great location and margaritas are yum! Love the Trio appetizer and awesome tacos.

(5)Leslie T.

(4)Belinda S.
(2)Christie M.
My husband summed it up quite well: "this is like the amount of seasoning on food at a nursing home." Yup.
(1)Heidi P.
(4)Leigh T.
(4)Itoro U.
It's affordable, fun, 1500 feet from my apartment and the margaritas are excellent!!! Great after work hangout, great happy hour spot, just excellent!!!!
(5)Kelsey F.
(4)Therealladyof L.
This is ok. Not great, not bad. Could give this place another try when I'm in the area. Had the grilled firsh, fried shrimp, fried chicken tacos. They were tasty. The bbq quesadilla was nice, meat was tender and shredded finely.
(3)Christina N.
(4)Jang C.
(4)Jai R.
Soon!
(3)L P.
(4)Michelle L.
(5)a e.
Great tacos at reasonable prices. Pork taco and the shrimp &grits taco are fantastic!
(5)Katie R.
(4)Ashley W.
Great service and good food. I'm not a huge fan of the drinks, but that's neither here nor there. The shrimp and grits tacos are soooo good!!! If you can catch this special, you will thank me. The few times that I've been, it's never been a wait which is a plus. Definitely a neighborhood spot.
(4)Shaunie S.
Lacking in any spice or flavor. Even the salsa was mild. Leaves you wanting real Mexican.
(2)Susan Y.
(3)Nemil S.
(4)Jamie T.
(5)Emily K.

(2)Brett H.
(4)Lindsay K.
(4)Christina J.
(4)Layla K.
(4)Marshall H.
(2)C C.
(4)Lori S.
(4)Tariq P.
(4)Sport L.
(3)Erin E.
(5)Frank T.
(4)Cherry L.
(4)James R.
This place is a great value. Good food at excellent prices, and prompt, friendly service all around. The house infused tequilas are some of the best in the city, and the bartenders remember your name. Excellent place to grab a quick bite, or catch a Braves game.
(5)David M.
(4)Gillian R.
(4)Jaxon L.
These tacos are ASTOUNDING. The bartender is attentive and the tacos are amazing. Oh, did I say that already? Do yourself a favor. Come here and eat tacos.
(5)Chris F.
(2)Suzanne W.
Great bartender! Best Calamari! Perfect dirty martinis! SN: I ordered about 4 or 5 different tacos/burritos...not good. I get the idea...sounded good...but wasn't.
(3)Sam B.
(4)Stefanie M.
(4)Samantha D.
(5)Hiroyuki I.

(4)Jasen M.
(4)Lee G.
This place is so disorganized. Sat at the bar for a cold one before eating and the bartender tells me they're out. I made a suggestion of how to handle it and he agrees that's "brilliant". Didn't trust them to order food so headed out to a nearby better place.
(1)Charlene H.
Love this place! Free chips and salsa when you sit down. Very fast service. The brisket taco is delicious. You should also ask for the cheesesteak taco.. it's not on the menu but it's DELICIOUS! I will definitely be going back here!
(5)Rachael W.
No. Just no. Everything we were served was straight out of a bag or a freezer and my taco was a sopping-wet case of watery beef. There are so many far-better Mexican options really close by that it makes no sense to ever go back.
(1)erin j.
this place is GREAT! even the tacos that sound like they aren't good are good.. Case and point - the chicken parmesan taco.
(5)Kurt N.
Dirt cheap giant tacos. Personally I like them better than Taqueria del Sol, so if I am in the mood for tacos and on that side of town, I'd stop by for lunch any time.
(4)Kaitlin F.
Do NOT order the beef tacos! We've been here multiple times and never had any issues but yesterday my boyfriend decided to try the beef tacos... He got TERRIBLE food poisoning from them. 48 hours of misery... Not fun.
(1)Brian F.
Verde infused margarita were good. I had vege tacos and they were delish. I certainly will return.
(4)David C.
Great restaurant on the Westside. The service is great and really quick. Food is excellent. Monday night margaritas are fun, the quadzilla is a great appetizer. Tacos are all really good.
(4)Kate D.
(3)Jessica R.
(5)Jeremy M.
(4)Ceci C.
Love the tacos so far I had only tried the chicken grilled and fajita steak. Margaritas are the best and service is fast. Prices are reasonable and perhaps they could add some specials for the day. Margaritas are soo good. Love this place. Simple menu but very good food.
(5)Christina G.
(4)J S.
The Texas margs are delish! More outdoor seating than Fox & Hounds because of smaller tables. Great service. The steak tacos are wonderful. So glad they are here.
(5)Shemario W.
(4)Robert S.
(2)Hillary O.
Great food. I've tried quesadillas, salads and tacos, and it's all awesome. The patio is big and nice. The sangria is really good! Family friendly, fast and yummy!
(5)Leah D.
Never disappointed at Verde! Good food and friendly staff.
(5)Laura T.
(5)Jennifer J.
(4)Caitlin S.
(4)John K.
Great place for a la carte tacos and margaritas. Don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Great guacamole and queso as well. Service is always on point, too.
(5)James C.
(5)Olivia E.
Great food and service! They're tacos are fabulous! They are decently priced too, which makes them an awesome place to go if you want good food, but don't want to spend too much.
(4)Stephanie N.

Ask about their green card and start receiving points for free meals and special promo offers.
(5)Dani L.
More like a 3.5! It's cheap, nice place and the food is good! I always order the fries fish tacos and I like them a lot. It's a great place for a happy hour or just Saturday lunch. Love their fried plantains! Yummy!
(4)Melissa B.
Win.
(4)Shaun L.
A great place to come for tacos. Great atmosphere sitting outside. Service was OK and the food was great. Try the pulled pork taco and fried calamari
(4)Nadia H.
Very affordable and very tasty. We will be back.
(4)Ann N.
(3)Scott W.
Trendy, colorful inside with a large outdoor dining patio. Decent tacos, excellent margaritas, and the service was good.
(3)missy g.
just wanted to add that vegans and vegetarians can find options here, all of the tacos can be substituted for tofu, so this place makes it easy for everyone :).
(5)Adam D.
absolutely cannot beat their fried chicken or calamari tacos.
(4)
