This location is great. The staff is friendly, the store is clean, and the food is consistently good. The most impressive part is that they actually seem to know how to manage a lunchtime rush, which a lot of nearby shops can't seem to get right. If you're looking for a quick meal replacement, or a refreshing snack, this is the place to do it at.

Great place! My girl and I came here close to closing time(don't normally do that but didn't notice time). Very welcoming and friendly staff. They were jovial and fun conversationalists. Good selections. Delicious smoothies!! Will definitely be coming back.

I am addicted to this place. They have a happy hour from 7-10am with 50 percent off smoothies... So it's only like 2.50 for a big smoothie. Such a good deal, and friendly service too :) their owner and staff are wonderful. The food is great. I like their flat breads and (new) breakfast wraps. I'd have to say the island green and health nut smoothies are probably my favorite! Definitely recommend. My whole office loves this place.

It's a shame this place isn't packed! Here are the highlights: 100% on their food safety certificate. Super friendly staff. Lots of yummy fresh tasting food options. Huge AH-MAZING SMOOTHIES. Way better than Jamba Juice IMO. Only $3 with a meal. Great supplement options. Kids meals ($5) are healthy, large and kid-friendly (my two two year olds loved them!). Fast service. Clean bathrooms. For dinner I had the Thai chicken wrap. Super fresh crunchy veggies. Tasty chicken. Sweet & spicy sauce. I had the classic sunrise sunset. Very tasty and satisfying. Husband has buffalo wrap. Super crunchy fresh flavor. Tasty chicken. Ranch & buffalo sauces were tasty & a bit spicy. He had the peanut protein smoothie which is to die for! Holy cow it's good.

I enjoyed my time here though service was slow. But they were friendly and fun which made up for it. I got 2 tacos and a Blimey Limey smoothie. The smoothie hit the spot after yoga but was WAY more sugary than I was expecting and rather easy on the "Limey." My chicken tacos had too much cheese (thick shredded cheddar) and I could only eat one. The environment was clean, vibrant and service friendly. My order was forgotten for a bit but I'm not docking the star because my order taker was so darn cute and sweet and the cook delivered it himself with an apology. The logo and uniforms are super chill yet hip. I was able to get 2 tacos and a 16oz smoothie for less than one smoothie at Jamba Juice so next time I need to carb up I will come here again. It's an awesome twist on an old concept and a welcome addition to the area. I will give it another try.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Tropical Smoothie. So glad to see they are back in Atlanta. I'm familiar with them in DC/VA area and it is always good...food and smoothies. Four years ago I drove from Gwinnett to Ponce because there used to be a location there, I guess, since it was listed online. I was DEVASTATED when I saw it was closed. Great location, friendly and fast service. Half price smoothies during morning hours make this stop worthwhile. Heck, it is worth full price which is less than other local places. TS is by far one of the best if not best smoothie chains in the US (except if you make you own "free" one at home).

We got the peach smoothie (forgot the name but has peach, strawberry and banana). I loved how it wasn't overly sweet or artificial tasting, but if you don't like subtle flavors, I'd suggest trying something else. They come in large cups and was enough to share between the two of us. We got a mojo fish and mojo steak tacos as well and they were great! The steak was tender and easy to eat which is usually a rare find. Both of them were very very refreshing to eat. The staff were super nice as well. Love the decor too!

Great staff, food and smoothies BUT why o why do they only have one counter open when there are 20 people in line and have both cash counters open when there are only 4 people in line. They should seriously think about installing an order and pay kiosk like Jason' Deli.

These guys are great! My favorite is avocolada smoothie hands down. As for food, I usually order the chipotle wrap and haven't been disappointed yet. The place is usually spotless, the staff are friendly, cool ambiance and the food is healthy and great tasting. A top smoothie spot on my list!

I really enjoy Tropical Smoothie Cafe's relaxed, beachy vibe and suuuper friendly staff. In addition to their smoothie menu, you can also grab a pretty delicious lunch, snack and now breakfast! Get 50% off smoothies from 7-10 a.m. Many smoothie options. You can also add a variety of supplements including multi-vitamins, flax seed, protein (soy, whey, pea), energizers, fat burners, etc. You can get a 22 oz (I think) fresh smoothie (no supplements added) for under $5. Take THAT, Kale Me Crazy (ahem, $9 for a 16oz). All of the nutrition content is available online here: tropicalsmoothie.com/sit…

Gave tropical smoothie another chance and they were awesome. Everyone was friendly and talkative. I always try and give business a couple chances knowing that everyone has a bad day occasionally.

Buffalo chicken wrap Made as you order. Wrapped in a warm piece of tortilla. Comes with fresh, crispy lettuce, tomatoes, and chicken adequately covered in zesty buffalo sauce. Chicken is tender and all the flavors meld together perfectly. Comes with a choice of a fruit, a cookie, or chips. I opted for Miss Vickie's jalapeño chips. I initially thought the chips were more spicy than the wrap but the sauce had an initial nice kick until the spiciness built up a gradual heat. Sunny day smoothie Mango, banana, kiwi, and orange. Real fruits are used with some juice concentrates. I was pleasantly surprised by the 24 oz cup size. I wasn't able to distinguish individual fruits. It was just a conglomerate that made a new flavor. There are a few two-seater tables, a couple of larger community tables, and several bar stool seatings. There are also patio seats. Friendly, capable staff. A lot of parking spots are available as it is in a shopping center. Nice placw to study or hang out.

Awesome food, great smoothies, not overpriced, great staff working to make sure you don't wait long in line or for your food. not many places can offer all of this, especially walking distance from my office.

I'm never going to another smoothie place! The smoothies are beyond amazing! The sandwiches are equally amazing! I'm going to have to try the breakfast soon! The staff is great & pay attention to detail! My Vitamix has some stiff competition! Make sure to join their Text Club for specials! Just text FLAVOR to 30364.

I eat here very often. I love Tropical Smoothie Pros: Very friendly staff. Great smoothie variety. Morning Happy Hour. Chocolate Chip cookies from here are amazing! Con: The mornings are cray... and sometimes they're slow. Some mornings they're on it... some mornings I've ended up 15-30 minutes late to work from the never ending wait. They have to come up with a better system. One person on mixing duties. One person on blender duty. One person on cleaning blender duty. One person on passing smoothies out duty. One extra blender wouldn't hurt either if you guys have the space. Idk... it's a small space, but some sort of efficient system, should be test, analyzed, and implemented.

I'm a fan of the customer service at Tropical Smoothie. The employees are always friendly and service is prompt. Another positive to this place is the use of Beyond Meat, chicken-free chicken strips. You can substitutes many of the items on the menu with the vegetarian alternative. This place is also Weight Watcher's friendly. The smoothies made with Splenda start as low as 4 Points Plus. Food overall can be a hit or miss. The Thai Chicken Salad is a win, but I wasn't impressed with their tacos. Smoothie wise they are on par, if not better, than the smoothies you find at Jamba Juice and Juice It Up without the price.

The only reason I wake up earlier than normal to go to work is so I can come here first for a half priced smoothie. It's worth it. When I was coming down with a sore throat, I had two hahaha. It can be awhile to get your smoothie because they must seriously have people calling in big orders constantly, but I swear it's fascinating to watch them work. Seamless. I'm a huge fan of the Island Green smoothie, there's also a "detox" version with ginger but it makes it a bit too spicy. Also there's like an avocado lime one too now and it is AMAZING. I hope it doesn't go away. Everyone here is friendly, I've not ever been for food but sometimes I am tempted. But nothing can truly outtempt my desire for a smoothie for breakfast for under three bucks.

I thought Tropical Smoothie only existed in Florida, but to my delight, it is in Georgia, too! I grew up on these huge meal replacement size smoothies. I went with my sister and ordered a Watermelon Mojito smoothie, a seasonal limited time only new drink. It was amazing! The mint was very strong but not so much as to overwhelm the watermelon. It was a couple minutes before closing time, but the workers still let us in and made us our smoothies, although somewhat begrudgingly. Happy hour 50% off smoothies special from 7-10am everyday! If I weren't in such a rush to get to work every morning I would stop by. Because it's SO worth it. By the way, I hope people in Dunwoody realize how lucky they are for these smoothie prices. In Tallahassee, FL, a smoothie is $4.89 for the same smoothie you can get for $4.29 here. So be grateful for the trivial price savings!

Always top notch service and consistent quality at this particular little smoothie chain. This place has some serious peak times and management has this place running like clockwork :) Bonus points for friendly service.

Yummy, customizable smoothies for around $5 for a 24 oz. Can't beat that. There's usually a crowd during lunch time, but they move fast so don't let that deter you. Jordan and Kaylah (I think that was her name) were super nice.

Me and my boyfriend have recently acquired a fierce love for peanut butter, chocolate and banana smoothies from Planet smoothie. Unfortunately, alot of the PS have gone out of business. So, seeing as my boyfriend works in Perimeter and was asking for his smoothie fix..I had to improvise. After some research, I settled on Tropical smoothie cafe, and I'm happy I did. The service was stellar and the smoothie was nearly as perfect as those I find elsewhere! And cheaper! Yum!

My husband and I are repeat, satisfied customers to Tropical Smoothie Cafe! We usually come for lunch or dinner and get an entree and smoothie to share. Just last night we got the Thai chicken wrap - it was surprisingly spicy but still good. Our 2 favorite smoothies are the Acai Berry Boost and the Pomegranate Plunge. Also, you can request that they prepare the smoothie with half the usual sweetener - tastes just as good and is better for you - a win-win! Highly recommend this place! Especially if you can get on their text coupon list. We each get a coupon texted to us about every other week and usually plan a visit based on what's being offered. Coupons typically offer reduced price smoothies with special entree purchase.

This place is simply amazing. The staff is just wonderful. They're so kind and go out of their way to make sure you're happy and satisfied with all beverage and food items. They're very smiley and happy! I recommend the chicken pesto and Baja chicken flat bread. They're wonderful. The island green and get up and goji are delicious. Make sure to substitute for Splenda rather than sugar to stay healthy. I love this place and as long as it stays how it is I'll always be back.

I love Tropical Smoothie Cafe! I discovered this chain a decade ago when I lived on the Outer Banks of NC and my life has never been the same because of it. I was beyond thrilled to discover one in Atlanta thanks to Yelp. Tropical Smoothie Cafe is a cute and beachy spot serving up healthy fast food. They have salads, wraps, paninis, and most importantly smoothies. I have a lifelong obsession with their Hawaiian Breeze smoothie. Pineapple juice, orange juice, yogurt, and Splenda instead of sugar - this drink is so good. Who knows how healthy this concoction is, but honestly I don't really care. It's a bold statement, but I would prefer a Hawaiian Breeze smoothie over Arden's Garden juice or even a Cook-Out milkshake anyday. The employees are super friendly, and service is very quick. I wish there were more locations in the ATL is my only complaint. Do yourself a favor and check out Tropical Smoothie Cafe immediately.

You know that feeling when you've sweated for over an hour at the gym and you're packing your bags only to have your stomach angrily yell at you? Well, that was me a few Sundays ago and I really wanted to be good and not go off diet and undo all of my hard work that morning, so I walked over to Tropical Smoothie Cafe. The entire restaurant is very open and nice, and it reminded me a little of Key West actually. The place was not packed, but there were several people ordering to go. I decided on the fish taco and the korean bulgogi taco. Both were really good and fresh. The fish taco had just the right amount of citrus dressing on it to make the fish pop, and the bulgogi was well flavored, not to sugary sweet or spicy. You're given an option of chips, a whole fruit or sliced fruits as a side. I chose the sliced fruits and was really happy to see that there weren't a lot of grape slices (it's a personal preference, I just enjoy my grapes more after they've been stomped and liquified into a wine bottle) and it was in this really light and yummy honey sauce. Even though my tummy was talking to me about 2 hours later, I did enjoy my healthy and light lunch!

Where do I start- first you are greeted at least 5 times when you walk in the door which makes you feel like royalty! Second this place is THE BEST! The combination of the politeness with the bomb smoothies just makes my day! The "pomegranate plunge" gives me LIFE because I am ADDICTED! The island green is also great! I have also tried the spinach salad with pecans, peaches, blue cheese, bacon and raspberry vinaigrette dressing was beyond refreshing also! I will always recommend Tropical Smoothie over the other spots any day!

My new fav!! I have been to this place twice this week and plan on going back every week. Their smoothies are delicious, healthy, and (if you get them w/o the turbinado like I do) filling yet low in calories. Plus with their 50% off morning happy hour from 7-10 it's a no brainer!! I have also been here for lunch. I tried the hummus veggies wrap with fruit. The wrap was delicious, warm, and filling. I plan on trying their Mahi tacos next :)

THANK GOODNESS FOR THIS PLACE . I feel like it's always a challenge to find a place that serves simple and fresh "fast food" outside of the Perimeter. Whenever one pops up, it mysteriously vanishes and the Subway next door reigns supreme. I suppose keeping fresh ingredients around gets pretty pricey after a while. I'm crossing my fingers that this location brings in enough business to sustain, because it is glorious. From my office, i like to walk to lunch if I don't remember to bring it from home. There are so many food options in the Perimeter area; it doesn't really make sense to drive further away. Sure there are spots like Tin Lizzy's and Zoe's Kitchen, but both are difficult to get to (think Frogger) and parking can be challenging. LOCATION// Tropical Smoothie Cafe set up shop in the old Yoforia space next to the Starbucks in the shopping center tied to the Sandy Springs Marta station. I was disappointed when it closed down, but so happy that a nail salon didn't fill the gap. THE STAFF// Yes!! Talk about hustle. Not only do they have enough folks on the clock to manage a lunch crowd, but the team runs like a well-oiled machine. Service with a smile, and efficiency to boot! THE FOOD// The smoothies... while I haven't personally ordered one, it appears they only come in one large size. They're all about five bucks a piece, and cover the gamut from Super Food smoothies to ones that are more of a dessert treat. Also, they're built the way you would make them at home! Fresh greens, and real fruit, etc. I didn't witness anyone pulling out mystery pitchers of pink and green mix from the fridge. The tacos are the only items on the menu i can vouch for, but the ingredients were fresh, and for a two-dollar taco, it was super yummy. Mojo Fish, Chipotle Chicken... and I believe the third is a Korean BBQ beef. I was in and out within ten minutes, and didn't break the bank in the process. I hope this place grows and stays around for a while.

On Saturday my friend wanted something light to eat around the Perimeter area. We were planning on going in Home Goods and her only options were Chick-Fil-A and the bread co. She opted for a smoothie and I am so glad she did. We had the hardest time trying to figure out what smoothie to order because they all sounded amazing. The staff was very friendly and knew the menu well. They offered to make another smoothie for me if I didnt like what I ordered. She got the Sunrise Sunset and I got the Island Green. I can't wait to go back and try more smoothies and the food!! Huge bonus for using fresh fruit, unlike some places. The only thing I didn't like, is that they only have two locations. The guy working there said more were on the way. Thank God!

Half price smoothie from 7am to 10am. Monday to Friday. Taste great. Friendly staff. Great business they have in the morning. They need an extra cashier for the call in customers who have no clue what they want. Been late to work a few times.

Let's keep this simple.... Happy Hours on weekday mornings = 50% off smoothie. That's enough to give them 5 stars.Thank you for that! They also have lots of other great healthy items like wraps, tacos, noodle bowls. I enjoy their chocolate chip cookie too. This place can get very busy, but it usually moves relatively fast (totally depends on whose at the register and who's preparing). The owner is really nice, which is superbly important. I turned my entire workplace on to this place. Can't resist 1/2 off smoothies. This is the only place that actually rivals smoothie king. Good job.

Very good smoothies and the little sliders are great. I had the island green. Very good but sugars was on the high side. 41grams... almost to energy drinks but healthier I guess

They have great sandwiches, smoothies, flatbreads, and more! My favorite smoothie is the chocolate chiller with peanut butter added! So far I haven't tried anything here that I don't like, and I get something new every time! Their portions are average, not too small, but not large either (for some these portion sizes might be perfect, but I can eat a lot). My new favorite lunch spot.

Shazia T.
really nice employees!! they have food and smoothies. i had a spinach salad, which was good. i prefer their smoothies. here are my smoothie reviews: - blimey limey = Strawberries, Pineapple, Orange & Lime was good; very limey - kiwi quencher = Kiwi, Strawberries & Non-Fat Yogurt was also good; i think i'd prefer to eat the items separately, though - carribbean c-burst = Bananas, Goji, Mangoes, Carrots, Orange Juice good; very citrus-y - island green = spinach and kale tasted much better than i thought; i felt very healthy - acai berry boost = Acai, Pomegranate, Banana, Blueberries & Strawberries one of my favorites; love it! - pomegranate plunge = Pomegranate, Banana, Strawberries & Cranberry another favorite; more juice-like than the acai berry boost - triple berry oat = my least favorite. it tasted like a gigantic vitamin. maybe it was the whey. - bahama mama = Strawberries, Pineapple, White Chocolate & Coconut amazing. it tasted like dessert. their teas are really good. i'm a fan of the hibiscus. they also have this AMAZING breakfast wrap. it has eggs, feta cheese, spinach, and pesto. i don't even like eggs, but i loved this wrap! the hummus veggie wrap is also good. although it is served warm, i like to refrigerate half of it and eat it cold.

This place is awesome. The island green is delicious. All flatbreads are great as well. They also have vegetarian options for most food items. The two girls working here when I stopped by are very friendly and nice. Give this place a try if you want light, quick, and healthy meal.

Finally a place that serves healthy food and smoothies! Good service too except they forgot the toppings on my fish taco. I was wondering why it looked so plain. Also I wish they had a 3 taco deal - 2 tacos is not enough for a meal...atleast not for me.
(5)
Frederick S.
The staff is nice and the place is clean. The food quality is high but for the price I expected a lot more of it. The wrap I ordered was the size of a large egg roll and the fruit cup was tiny. 3/5 because the little bit they gave me was tasty. I would not eat there again unless someone else was buying.

Robert L.
Fresh smoothies! I had the Sunrise Sunset smoothie. It's huge and only $3 more if you buy a sandwich, taco, etc. Better than Jamba Juice. Amazing tzatziki Steak flatbread!!

I was staying nearby on a business trip and Tropical Smoothie Cafe was the closest option for a healthy breakfast. Everyone working the counter was extremely friendly. The smoothy was excellent and their morning happy hour made this the least expensive smoothie I have ever had. I don't think I could make one myself for the price at Tropical.

I love this place! First time I ever had them was while I was visiting Va. When I saw that they opened a location here in the A I was so happy. This place puts smoothie King and Planet Smoothie to shame! Smoothies are huge and the food is delish! Keep it up and please open more locations!!!

"Say 'ello to my little green smoothie" Scarface (OK, maybe not) What makes Tropical Smoothie Cafe different? Let's start with Mojo Tacos and a Cucumber Mojito Smoothie. This is probably the tastiest "healthy" place I have been to in a while. The menu includes tacos, flatbreads, wraps, salads, sandwiches, and of course smoothies. Flavors on the food run the gamut from Caribbean to Asian to Southwest, and include all the buzzwords like mojo, baja, luau, pesto, chipotle, Thai and Korean. The smoothies start at $3.99 for 24 ounces and cover all the colors you should have in your diet. If you add one to a meal they run $3, that's cool. Being my first time in I opted to try the Mojo Tacos and the Island Green smoothie. For the Mojo Tacos you can choose fish, chicken, steak or a vegetarian option, "Beyond Meat" chicken-less meat. The tacos come with Cucumber Salsa and romaine lettuce and a Mojo Sauce. As you might guess, I went with the "Beyond Meat", and while not anything to die for, you are also not killing anything for it either. The Mojo sauce worked well with the salsa and romaine to make for a light, fresh tasting taco. Overall 3/5. The Island Green smoothie consisted of spinach, kale, mango, pineapple, and banana. I added a shot of protein as well. This was a fantastic smoothie, way better and cheaper than the competitors in the area. Overall 5/5. Service at the counter was friendly, the restaurant is bright and clean , atmosphere is casual. A welcome addition to the Perimeter area for lunch or smoothie break.

The one thing I love about this place is their happy hour which isn't in the afternoon, but early in the morning: 50% off on a smoothie is excellent for the size of smoothie you're getting. I thought they might carry some more juices here, but it's mostly smoothies which is ok, I guess. Definitely better choices than a Smoothie King or Planet Smoothie. My only caveat is that the smoothie I had was way too sweet. At first, I thought it was natural sweetness until the lady behind the counter told me she added sugar to it, and then told me that you can ask for sugar substitute or no sugar at all. I wish she had told me beforehand. Tropical Smoothie Cafe occupies the old Yoforia space. I'm a little sad that Yoforia's gone, but I think it's great to have a smoothie place that also serves some food. I'll have to give it a try and re-review this place later, but for now I'm giving this place 4 stars.

Ordered off Zifty, and it was delicious! I had to spend $15, so I bought 2 items; had the chicken buffalo wrap today, and I will have the asian salad tomorrow. The wrap was awesome, but don't get it if you can't handle some spice! It's def "hot" buffalo sauce. Highly recommend this place! Look forward to going in person to visit.

(5)Ashley F.

(5)Jay H.
Oh yea! I co-sign on all the great reviews! Healthy and inexpensive with a gourmet edge. This needs to be everywhere! Especially the hood!

Thank God!
(5)Racer D.
Half price smoothie from 7am to 10am. Monday to Friday. Taste great. Friendly staff. Great business they have in the morning. They need an extra cashier for the call in customers who have no clue what they want. Been late to work a few times.
(5)C T.
Good job.
(5)K K.
Very good smoothies and the little sliders are great. I had the island green. Very good but sugars was on the high side. 41grams... almost to energy drinks but healthier I guess
(5)Matt M.
(5)Shazia T.
really nice employees!! they have food and smoothies. i had a spinach salad, which was good. i prefer their smoothies. here are my smoothie reviews: - blimey limey = Strawberries, Pineapple, Orange & Lime was good; very limey - kiwi quencher = Kiwi, Strawberries & Non-Fat Yogurt was also good; i think i'd prefer to eat the items separately, though - carribbean c-burst = Bananas, Goji, Mangoes, Carrots, Orange Juice good; very citrus-y - island green = spinach and kale tasted much better than i thought; i felt very healthy - acai berry boost = Acai, Pomegranate, Banana, Blueberries & Strawberries one of my favorites; love it!
(5)Eve E.
This place is awesome. The island green is delicious. All flatbreads are great as well. They also have vegetarian options for most food items. The two girls working here when I stopped by are very friendly and nice. Give this place a try if you want light, quick, and healthy meal.
(5)Dorothy P.
Finally a place that serves healthy food and smoothies! Good service too except they forgot the toppings on my fish taco. I was wondering why it looked so plain. Also I wish they had a 3 taco deal - 2 tacos is not enough for a meal...atleast not for me.
(5)Frederick S.
The staff is nice and the place is clean. The food quality is high but for the price I expected a lot more of it. The wrap I ordered was the size of a large egg roll and the fruit cup was tiny. 3/5 because the little bit they gave me was tasty. I would not eat there again unless someone else was buying.
(3)Robert L.
Fresh smoothies! I had the Sunrise Sunset smoothie. It's huge and only $3 more if you buy a sandwich, taco, etc. Better than Jamba Juice. Amazing tzatziki Steak flatbread!!
(5)Jesse N.
(5)Ashley M.
The green island is awesome! I traded mangos for pomegranate. The employees were very helpful and had great customer service!
(5)Angie R.
Great food and great value. I had the steak flatbread and the Super-C smoothie. The smoothie is huge though. Love the modern, colorful decor.
(5)Nats M.
Good food, great healthy smoothies and awesome service. What else an you say. Really recommend the Korean BBQ tacos.
(5)Lola F.
I absolutely LOVE this place! I always get the combo smoothie/sandwich. My favorites are the Island Green smoothie with the Turkey Bacon Ranch sandwich. It's so amazingly good, healthy and filling. I just wish they had a drive thru :)
(5)Bridgette H.
From 8-10 am smoothies are half off!! What a great way to experiment with some flavors that I have wanted to try.
(5)Ebony W.

(4)Gaurav K.
Smoothie for breakfast every morning! This place has amazing smoothies for any time of the day and any mood. Best smoothies I've had till date!
(5)Andrea M.

First time here because I had a craving for a healthy smoothie. I'm glad I followed the reviews and came to check it out. I ordered mango magic and it's great! Will be back!!!
(5)Claire H.
I tried their cucumber smoothie on a random humid summer afternoon. It was so tasty and fresh that I even forgot to start my car in the parking lot. Also, the staffs were very friendly and happily singing in the cafe. I would like to go back again!
