We had a few bad experiences here about a year ago and stopped coming. We tried it again recently and had two great meals, but tonight was a huge disappointment. We brought two of our friends for dinner and all of the food was horrible. It was a huge let down since this used to be one of our favorite spots. Seems like the food quality is very hit or miss and we won't be taking another gamble.

My dining adventurer and I attempted to go to Dulce bakery for the fifth time - only to find that it was closed for some reason (renovations, holiday, I don't know - I stopped reading once I saw the "closed" sign) and decided that since we were already parked, to find something nearby to eat. Pullman didn't look impressive from the outside - dark windows and paint - and wasn't impressive on the inside either. However my dining partner was far more adventurous than I and actually read the menu, which included a quinoa black bean burger. She asked for the menu and although it was brunch and they didn't offer the burger they said they'd make it for us so we stayed. The server looked like a rocker chick but was extremely friendly and helpful. To our continued surprise there was organic items and veggie sausage as a meat option. We ordered and the food came quickly and was really good. Simple things like roasted potatoes weren't just deep fried like most joints, they were lightly pan fried and colorful with diced red and green peppers; and their blueberry salad dressing was something to celebrate. I actually want to give this place 5 stars to raise their rating as I believe they deserve higher than a three, but can't due to the decor. I believe if they made it lighter and brighter to attract more people for lunch they would be as packed full of people as the restaurant that was 2 doors down. But maybe they do just fine during the evenings and don't need the daytime sales. Either way I'm glad Dulce was closed as we were able to find Pullman and now have it as a true Atlanta option.

This little spot has strange hours, but if you can time it right- it's worth it. They have a fantastic brunch, the best bloody Mary's in Kirkwood, and some really great beers on tap. I was surprised to find so many toys and books for kids to play with. it has a laid-back atmosphere, but the servers are really knowledgeable. They open the doors to outside a lot of the time, and there are some good seats outside too.

I gotta tell ya, I didn't expect much here. The decor is a little weird and it certainly doesn't feel like a place that would have roasted grouper with rutabaga purée on the menu. But, when taco Tuesday is 3 blocks away, you Taco Tuesday. And, I can't say anything about the rest of the food, but DAYUM they know how to Taco Tuesday. The options rotate, and last night was a simple carne asada, a grilled fish with spicy strawberry slaw and a cheesy broccoli quinoa. All 3 were incredible. Yes, incredible. The steak was tender and flavorful, the fish was a perfect mix of sweet, spicy and savorful, and the quinoa aka casserole taco was just the shit. Someone needs to put that in a casserole dish and just give me a fork. These, by the way, were $2 each. We also got the truffle fries which were definitely better than average truffle fries. They came with a truffle salt and shaved Parmesan. I ate basically all of them. If you like really crispy fries, though, you may wanna skip these bc theyre a little soft. There is definitely a chef back there cookin vs a kitchen staff. I'll be back for entrees soon and will report back!

Just ordered the fish & chips for delivery from here. Everything is so disgustingly greasy, and soggy, I'm tempted to just throw it out. $15 for a pile of grease. No thanks. I just threw it away, I'm sick from just looking at this.

We've been visiting The Pullman quite a bit lately, and it's been consistently good. I had the burger several times with a fantastic spinach and strawberry salad. Every time I go in I think I'm going to try something new, but that jalapeno mayo and bacon topped patty keep calling my name. I've also tried their brunch a few times and was pleasantly surprised. I'd highly recommend the Crab Cake Benny. If I could request two changes they would be: 1. Cocktails need some work. Every one of them has some sort of fruit juice or ginger ale. Don't be scared to offer a nice stiff bourbon drink. 2. Pita chips that come with the spinach-artichoke dip are fried, but not freshly fried so they get kind of stale. I wish they'd just sprinkle a little olive oil and salt on them and bake them. They'll stay crisp and won't taste greasy. Overall, I love this place. The food and atmosphere is a perfect fit with our little neighborhood. Big thanks to Dan, Heidi, and Chef Lotinza Clark for bringing such a great restaurant to Kirkwood.

I've been in just to get some beers, and I've been in there for dinner. It serves well for either or both. The bar has an interesting shape to it, and people from different groups end up talking with each other. It's a great atmosphere. The friendly vibe makes up for how dark it is in there. The food is really really good. From the Oh George burger and the Fried Chicken Sandwich to a special one night with grilled salmon over vegetable risotto, it's more than just "bar food." I would also say over multiple visits, the service is improving too. It's in our regular rotation now, you should stop in!

I can only review the Pullman based on drinks and service because I didn't eat there ... but my visit was awesome. I live in the neighborhood, and my husband and I decided to walk over with our dog and have a drink outside. The waiter immediately brought us a bowl with water for our dog, as well as water for ourselves. Our drinks were delicious, the staff was friendly and the location was great for people watching. The food menu looked good; we just didn't come at a meal time. I'll definitely be back!

Came here for a date night and was sadly disappointed to walk into this place and only see about 3 other patrons in the restaurant. We checked out the menu and sadly we weren't just feeling it, but decided to just get wings and drinks to hold us over. The wings were huge, yet bland and a bit under cooked looking for me. Love the area and the place is too cute but I'll take a pass.

Great wings and friendly servers. Nice neighborhood spot! They have a nice rotating selection of local/semi local beers. They had a great IPA on tap when we last went. The French fries weren't the best, a bit too potato vs. crispy but great if you like a softer flavor to your spuds.

Pretty darn good food, for not expensive at all. It's no Steinbecks, but it's one of the better places to eat in the Kirkwood. The fish and chips weren't quite on par, but everyone elses good was great.

Ok, so the food was excellent, but it took 1hr and 25 minutes to get the food. We watched as every other table (that came in after us) get their food before us?? The waitress was doing her best, but she did not have the skills. Appetizer..15 minutes. Entree 1 hr 10 minutes. Then we got to sit there and wait for the waitress to pick up the check. The worst part is the comment from the manager after waiting 90 minutes for my fries "I hope it was worth the wait" What is she kidding!! I will return, as the food was good, but only one more visit. this is not rocket science. You have an excellent chef and he is held back b the staff.

came for brunch. the place opened 25 minutes late. it took nearly an hour to get our food. it was embarrassing because I invited guests. doesn't seem like they are committed to their business. crumbs on the floor, cobwebs in corners, not many customers. place seems hungover and nearly dead.

I have had a real mixed bag of experiences here. All-in-all though they seem to have been more enthused/passionate about their business in the beginning, and as time goes on things seem to be going down hill. I used to live within walking distance and have eaten here 5-6 times, and have visited for the drinks just as frequently. The food can be amongst the best in Kirkwood. The bar-foodie portions of the menu I've found to be just as bad as the Kirkwood Bar and Grill across the street (that place gets zero stars from me). The space is nice, but has gradually started to feel more and more like the Earl- in that grungy sorta-way. Which isn't to say that is a bad thing, its just a thing. It might be nice if they swept the floors once or twice a week. My biggest pet-peeve (and I've said this in other reviews for bars that make the same mistake) is watching a bartender ruin a simple drink like an Old Fashioned with loads of club soda and/or a bunch of smashed maraschino cherries. The drinks we were served were largely undrinkable (and generally I am not picky about alcohol), tasting mostly of soda water. If you like a good cocktail, come to this bar with pre-printed recipe basically if you want it made correctly/well. If you own/manage this joint: please get your bartender some training (at least have them watch some youtube videos on how to make popular drinks)

I went with my husband for a date night, not really sure what to expect. We had a gift certificate for $50 so we were able to try a lot of the different appetizers. Honestly, the food was ok - but it was all a little too greasy for my liking. They could do some improving to their drink menu as well -- everything was super sweet. I felt like the pullman was fine -- but I don't think that we would go back.

Love this place. We've been coming here for about 8 months and always found it a good place to hang out. The new Spring menu is great and just about anything will go with a couple of drinks. Thanks to the staff we know we'll be coming back for a long time.

Another great dinner at the Pullman last night! The draft selection must rotate because it was a whole new selection and they had Magners on draft and it was delicious!!!!! We got the egg-roll special appetizer, which was Cajun crawfish and it was piping hot and wonderful, I love the sauce it's served over. For our main dishes we got the fried chicken sandwich and the chicken pot pie, both were wonderful! Husband couldn't believe it, but he may like the fried chicken sandwich better than the Oh George burger, and we both ADORED the Oh George burger. Fried chicken sandwich had chicken fingers, pimento cheese and bacon on toasted bread. . .divine. Got the truffle fries this time and preferred them to the sweet potato fries (which we liked). My chicken pot pie was delicious, once I could eat it, it was so hot I had to wait a while for it to cool down. Which was fine because I had my side salad, which while simple was great. I loved the salad, and agree w/ the previous poster who said it was "perfectly dressed". There is something so nice about a perfectly dressed salad. Service was again friendly and excellent. We look forward to being regulars of the Pullman!

A friend and I chose to catch up over a meal at the Pullman based solely on its menu, which looks delicious and chock full of delightful choices. such a tease. it was an overall disappointing experience, unfortunately. The positives first - the staff was perfect, the location is great, and I have no complaints about the space. spinach artichoke dip was good, no complaints there. The downside is simply the rest of the food. I ordered the grilled buffalo chicken sandwich and our sides were brussel sprouts and mac n' cheese. The sandwich was recommended as one of the more popular choices on the menu (with the caveat that all of the sandwiches are pretty dang popular). the sandwich could have been amazing with the fried green tomato and the bacon mayo. but the chicken itself looked like it had been boiled (or mass oven-heated) and had a consistency to match. There was a fair amount of grizzle on the chicken breast in my 'wich, and the amt of buffalo sauce covering the meat was negligible. On to the sides - the brussel sprouts were good, different in that they were either too salty, or just tangy-er than i had expected. The mac n' cheese was good, fine, not superb but satiated the mac n' cheese craving i was harboring.

Another awesome gem for Kirkwood, I'm going to dub this place the Cypress of the East. It's non-smoking (yay!), dark without being cheesy about it, and just has that friendly vibe that makes me want to be a regular. The prices were quite good on beer (Wild Heaven for $5) as well as food, with sandwiches all ringing in under $10 and entrees being in the low-teens. I'll definitely like this place more off-diet if the smell of my beau's philly cheesesteak is any indication, but I was plenty pleased with my roasted veggie sandwich. The whole wheat bread was hearty and I loved that they let me substitute grilled asparagus for fries. It was kind of a small portion, but I'm over it. I spied a lending library on my way out. I'll be back.

Hadn't been to The Pullman in a while, so suggested a friend and I meet there for dinner. My last visit was probably 6-8 months ago, and I enjoyed the good beer selection and remember being pleasantly surprised by the food. Not so this time! I ordered the fish tacos, which was basically an overbreaded hunk of 'fish 'n chips' style fish on a flour tortilla with some greens and a huge glop of something the menu said was 'roasted jalapeno sour cream'. There was virtually no flavor to either the fish/ breading combo or the sour cream. The manchego and apple avocado salsa from the menu apparently never made it onto my plate. The side of black beans tasted like they came out of a can. The waitress suggested we try the bacon-braised collards - which turned out to be a mess of overcooked, oversalted slimy greens. The grilled chicken tenders I ordered for my kid looked and tasted like something you'd get on a grilled chicken salad at Applebee's - despite drowning them in ketchup (which usually does the trick), they went uneaten. Service was OK, but the waitress brought our food out first, followed by the kids' food 5 minutes later. She apologized, saying she thought all the orders were ready. But c'mon, this place is in Kirkwood, which is crawling with kids. It's kinda understood that the kids food comes out first. And did I mention we were the only diners in the place (more showed up later), so it's not like the kitchen was slammed. I like their beer selection and vibe, and might go back, but for beers only. Maybe I just ordered badly or it was a bad night, but to call yourself a gastropub, you better deliver on the food. Especially when there are so many better places within 2-3 miles.

The Oh George burger may be on my top five list (which is headed by In-N-Out, of course). Pullman looks to be a nice hangout - decent tap list and good eats out of the kitchen. I've only been the one time, so I may upgrade to four stars after more visits. I think I'll drag my beer buddy here next time we go pubbing. Service excellent. The place was empty when we got there and only had two other tables when we left (both featuring rugrats - will that be a problem, I wonder?).

OK, after all the hullabaloo I recently posted about visiting a place multiple times before reviewing, I'm reviewing the Pullman after just one visit. There are two reasons for this, really. One, I enjoyed myself so the review's going to be positive and two, seeing as how this makes my first trip into Kirkwood in two years, the Pullman might as well be located in a lost city, covered in Amazonian vines. Hell, I've been to New York City more often than Kirkwood these past few years. On a positive note, it really felt like our foursome was in a whole new city when we were out for dinner. (Man, we're pathetic.) With a name like the Pullman, I imagined more of a train theme of which there wasn't, but that's more my fault than the bar's. The bar, itself, is appointed nicely, if not a little utilitarian. (I will give props to the bookcase full of old volumes, including a thumbworn copy of The Watchmen.) There's a nice seating area upon entry to the right which you'll need on busier nights. I'm not sure if there's a host or hostess or if you should just flag down a server. We flagged down a server who told us to have a seat and we were 3 parties back in the queue. It was kind of confusing, though thankfully civility amongst those waiting won out in the end. The Pullman also seemed fairly kid-friendly, owing itself to 1) the 3 kids I saw there and 2) the relatively early dinner we staked out because my friends and I are old as dirt, angrily refuse to text, and wear onions on our belt. I'm guessing since I saw kids, smoking is verboten. (I'm guessing, though.) I liked the food. The wings were nice. The spicy wings were, indeed, spicy. I know that sounds redundant, but I've been served too many "spicy" wings that are no more spicy than a chicken mcnugget. No lie, I once ate a bar's "nuclear" wings and when asked about it by the server, I told her to call her cook "a candyass" for me. I also ordered the pork sandwich. The menu description made me expect sliced pork (again, I don't know why), so I was a little surprised when it came out on the pulled side. I thought the flavors were nice and the coleslaw, if not original, a good textual addition. I will tell you my friend thought her pork sandwich simultaneously "needed sauce," but "tasted wet." I said that didn't make any sense and I still say it doesn't make any sense and if she wants to challenge me, I know she reads my Yelp reviews so g'head, Woman! Write your review! Unfortunately there's not a "crazy-ass observation" button alongside the "Useful," "Funny," and "Cool" that Yelpers can click. My other friend ordered the jumbalaya special which he thought was just "okay," but he's also a New Orleans snob who gets all judgey when a bar doesn't have Abita on tap. The wife appreciated the gluten-free demarcations on the menu which automatically earns The Pullman a gluten-free bump in starage. Four stars to you, Pullman. Oh, and I loved you in Independence Day by the way.

Our first of what is sure to be many visits to the Pullman was tonight. I'm excited for my Kirkwood neighbors to have a cool new restaurant, particularly given the blight they have suffered at the hands of the Kirkwood Grill. The first thing i thought when i finally found the menu online (Urban Daddy, of all places) was "Holy Shit, somewhere we can bring vegetarian friends!" Even the Fish was listed as V, which must have been intended as an obvious pescatarian dish but i didn't fuss. I know what "Trout" means and if you put it on grits i will eat it no questions asked. Upon finding a parking spot (hard to come by) i moseyed up to door and walked in. Immediately i was impressed with the decor. Like Kathleen said, dark without being cheesy. Honestly the photos i had seen must have been with the lights way up because it looked half-ass, but once inside myself i thought "this is casual-cool and i could drink beers here." The crowd was respectable for a Thursday night and I remember it being surprisingly muted in there despite the crowd. So i obviously had the aforementioned Fish and Grits ($14). My wife had the house salad ($4), no cheese, with the pepper vinaigrette and the fried chicken sandwich ($8). I hate to say this but despite the menu sounding delectable the food was either bland or over the top. My fish was served missing only the head, fileted down the middle, and lightly battered. The taste was plain and subtle, and i found myself picking around the bones that remained. The grits were OK but did not have a bold flavor, so my meal in general seemed to lack flavor. My wife's meal was the complete opposite. The pepper vinaigrette was way over the top - almost inedible in my opinion and i like pepper a lot. The chicken on the sandwich was very good but my wife thought the sammy over all was just "OK". Careful not to get your feelings hurt here, Mr. Pullman, but she thought you were trying too hard. There's a half leftover and i plan to be make my own judgement tomorrow. I think pregnant ladies are crazy, anyway. If you're reading this I'd suggest that you take it with a grain of...pepper. Eating out isn't really a fair way to judge and i know that. The truffle fries, for example, tasted awesome but i could tell the steam caused them to get droopy on the drive home. I had no experience whatsoever with their beer menu but if they have Wild Heaven i don't care what else they serve. I'll be back here without a doubt and hope my experience was either bad dish selection on my part or just a byproduct of not eating the food in-house like any good patron. Until next time, Pullman. We'll bring our hard-to-accomodate veg friend, too!

This place is a great Kirkwood bar. Great people behind the bar and a sense everyone is a friend. Good local beers and a menu that makes it feel like a gastropub.

Very disappointing food via Zifty delivery. I ordered the Oh George medium with truffle fries. I received a well-done burger with NO tomato or grilled onion, wilted lettuce and only a smattering of cheese. Additionally, the fries were lukewarm and soggy. This was my second and last time (my dine-in experience was not much better) giving The Pullman the opportunity to live up to the high scores others award.

I don't write negative reviews, I leave that up to everyone else. I do write positive reviews, point out small details and some misses...like so: We went to the Pullman last night and sat at the bar. I had one of the specialty cocktails (the sweeter of the two tequila based cocktails, I forgot its name already) and my friend had the one with tequila in beer. They were good, wouldn't say exceptional but tasty. Maybe on Sunday that beer one will be a full michelada? Yes please. The bar has an interesting shape and there is one seat that seems almost impossible to sit at. For food, I had the wings appetizer and a small house salad. Small detail: the salad is properly dressed! The dressing is not on the side nor is it drowning the salad but its nicely coating the leaves just so. I appreciated that. The wings were tasty - the dry rub is just spicy enough. I ate half of them the way the chef intended and then I ordered a side of ranch to see how that would work out. The ranch didn't kill the flavor or provide a perfect pairing so I see where they are going with that. I didn't really like the "full wing format" the wings have though. Personal preference. My friend had the steak and said it was delicious. I saw a few of those Oh George burgers going out of the kitchen and was wishing I'd ordered one also. They looked amaaaazing. Next time. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable for a brand new restaurant, which was great. The rest of the menu looked quite good so I am definitely going to come back and try it some more.

Great service, great atmosphere - a welcome addition to the neighborhood. Beer selection is excellent, and I'm pleased to say every dish I've had was delicious. Not your usual bar food, but really stand out dishes like gnocchi and their special egg rolls of the day. Excited to try their brunch soon!

Went here to catch up with some girlfriends on a Friday night. Had no trouble getting a seat at 7pm. The place felt anything but cozy as I sat on the end of a booth with a huge open space next to me where it looks like there should be tables if they could fill the place. The ceiling fans were also running the entire night when it was below 40 outside. We placed an order for their truffle fries to share as an appetizer and they completely forgot them. We weren't going to bother the waitress for them after our entrees came, so we never mentioned it and they never noticed. Only after leaving did we also realize we never got the biscuits that were supposed to come with our salads. The arugula salad was good, nothing to write home about...had way better salads at Panera. I tried my friends Asian noodles and they were just okay, the consistency was rather soupy.

The Pullman is probably my favorite neighborhood hangout any night or day of the week in Kirkwood. Chef Lo and the crew are always friendly and the food is always tasty and filling! The peach margharita should definitely be added as a staple to the menu, and the new fries are FAR BETTER than the ones before. 2 thumbs and 8 fingers way up for The Pullman! P.S., Check out their family style dinner on Tuesdays. Pretty cool concept.

Kirkwood is really lucky to have a pub/restaurant like this! My husband and I have eaten there a few times now. We always get great service. We just tried their burger, which was well cooked and topped with bacon with a choice of side dish. He loved the chips, which had a variety of root veggies like sweet potatoes. We also tried the fish tacos. I particularly loved the mango and avocado salsa on the tacos. My husband loves that they usually have a really good cider on draft or in the bottle. Their wine selection is not bad, either.

I've been to The Pullman twice recently and the menu offerings have been equally good both times. Definitely recommend the "special" eggrolls as an appetizer - they change them frequently and they're always an unexpected delight. Last time it was the Jambalaya eggrolls - they were fantastic. Also, my favorite cocktail is the Wigwag. It's perfect for spring/summer.

My wife and our friends go here quite often and it has always been great. I have had the burger, buffalo chicken sandwich (which in no longer on the menu unfortunately), egg rolls (as a special they change these so ask what's in them), the french dip, and chicken wings (bourbon/basil glaze; they change the sauce, too, so ask). Their fried mozzarella is super good and their fries are amazing. I pretty much loved everything I've had. I do wish they had more of a beer selection. I had a one of their mixed drinks that I cannot recall the name of and it was just ok. Nothing earth shattering. The guys that work there are friendly and awesome. It's never been busy when we are there and we typically go for dinner at 6pm or 7pm. I have no idea how busy it gets later on. Just an overall good place. I recommend it highly.

I want to LOVE The Pullman. I'm the mayor and Duke for heaven's sake and I live within easy walking distance. I would love for it to be my home base pub. It can't, however, compete with Steinbeck's in nearby Oakhurst which is my first love. Pros: - Generally speaking, the food is surprisingly good. Not incredible...but solidly good (with the exception of the fish tacos which are tasteless. It's better with the mayo glob stuff removed...but not enough to cause me to order it again.) - Banana pudding is AWESOME - Grilled chicken salad very good. - Excellent craft beer selection Cons: - Decor is just not there. The space has SUCH potential and could easily be downright cool... but they miss the mark and totally fail to integrate its namesake railroad yard into the motif. The front waiting area is nicely done...but they seem to have blown their budget and creativity on that corner that goes completely unused. - The staff is fairly consistently inhospitable and inattentive. They seem to be "hanging out" more than they are serving the patrons. As the Duke, you'd expect that someone there would recognize that I've been there enough to at least pretend to know me. No one there has the front of the house mentality needed to make a great pub. - The homemade, framed "Everything's going to be alright" or whatever-it-says sign drives me to distraction. I want to rip it off the wall! - The TVs are inadequately small and there aren't enough of them for The Pullman to promote itself as a place to come watch the Braves. On this front, they need to either go big or go home...meaning, make it a refuge without TVs at all or invest a couple hundred extra bucks in a screen that someone other than the bartender standing under it can see. I would love to see this place continue to improve. Fixing the decor and the staff's attitude toward the patrons would go A LONG way. That said, it's not a BAD place and I don't want to discourage anyone from trying it out. Kirkwood is cool and this place has potential.

So I'm not all that familiar with this area but I was passing through and I needed a drink. Thank you lovely staff at the Pullman for satisfying my need :-) I think I was the only actual customer there at the time. Right after work on a Wednesday so no surprise and I certainly didn't mind. The staff on hand were awesome and approachable. Usually when a place isn't busy it seems like staff tends to coagulate in the corner and gossip with each other...but instead I felt like a part of the group and I'm sure that attitude makes this a good neighborhood staple where they'll remember you. Great local beer selection and interesting cocktail list. I saw a lot of things on their menu that seem new/interesting to me and I'll have to go back and try the food. This place basically has all that I need and that is good booze at fair prices, a nice bar and TVs, and friendly/interactive staff. Almost a reason to go to Kirkwood ;-)

Reminds me of that Coco Chanel quote about taking something off before you leave the house -- a lot of the menu is a bit over the top and seems to have at least one too many ingredients. The portions are also a little LARGE, for me at least. I had the Oh George Burger - it was huge (1/2 lb of beef) and had cheese, bacon, a giant pile of salad greens, a clumsily cut thick slice of tomato, and a thick slice of grilled onion. It was tasty, but I would rather the price be cheaper and the cheese and bacon optional. We also ordered the Fried Green Tomato BLT. The bread was stale, and it was also a cumbersome mammoth. The side salad was basic lettuce, tomato, and orange cheese overly smothered in ranchy goodness - I recommend asking for the dressing on the side. The fries were brown and overcooked, but also somehow totally limp, yet somehow they still tasted good. Note, you can ask for plain fries if you don't want them truffle-flavored. We made the mistake of going for an early dinner before the Romper Room crowd thinned out, so it was pretty loud, and there's not a lot to absorb sound. Overall, though, I give them an "A" for effort, and they are definitely a welcome addition to the neighborhood! Oh, and they had lots of good beers too!

Great place, walking distance, super cool people work here, the food has been consistently good, with exception of the Spicy tofu sauté, which was...a bit much. They need like four peppers next to the dish name. But hey, new menu just came out! My fiancee declared it one of the best burgers she has had in town. It also gets pretty noisy - I ~love~ a boisterous crowd, and a few times, we've been ~those people~, but the acoustics are echorriffic. Not quite Rathbun's, but it's not a cuddle up and reminisce type of place. That's fine, but I just wanted you to be aware, because I care. I don't want to end on a down note, so I'll also say they had a fine selection of house cocktails as well - some interesting and challenging stuff! One involved black pepper. I love black pepper. God bless them.

Really great food and friendly staff! Wings and eggrolls were great. The Steak and fries is some of the best I've had. And the Oh George is just fantastic. Great neighborhood joint to hang out and eat some grub.

While visiting Atlanta for the first time I stopped by this bar and I'm glad I did - it made my night! It's interior is open and clean and my favorite part of it is a sign assuring the patrons that "Everything will be OK." The wait staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. One of the owners (Dan) went out of his way to greet, meet, talk to, and say goodbye to customers. The drink menu was amazing and the bartender took the time to help me choose a local beer that I would like. Altogether it was a great experience and I truly hope I'll make it back to Atlanta and have a chance to try the food here. Great place - don't miss it!

Wonderful little community restaurant and bar -- the sort of place the whole family can go. The burger is excellent and I've also enjoyed pasta dishes there as well. The service is super-nice.

Excited about a neighborhood spot. Looked at menu prior to going got there they had very limited menu "said messed up purveyor order" questionable I worked in a lot of restaurants. Service very slow food just ok nothing special atmosphere nothing special either. Better places out there

LOVE this place. as a kirkwood resident, it's nice to have a neighborhood bar within walking distance. the beer selection seems pretty kick ass. i've found my soulmate in liquid form on tap there (wild heaven's ode to mercy), so i haven't explored the other selections offered. the food is consistently good and love the creative wing and egg roll flavors that are offered and switched up daily.

We're here several times a month, and it is consistently great. Service is always mellow but attentive, and the food is just plain good. They have one of the best burgers in town, and the specials are always creative and delicious. Can't wait for summer again so I can get the watermelon feta salad at least once a week! Fantastic drink menu, chill atmosphere, consistently awesome food... it's the perfect easy neighborhood spot!

The Pullman started a family style dinner on Tuesdays. We went last night and the food was wonderful. We plan to do the dinner again.

Just left The Pullman's opening day, and I wouldn't have been able to tell it hadn't been there for years - an incredibly varied menu, an awesome line-up of on draft beers (more than half are local), great clean atmosphere - this place popped up ready to go. I'm a fan of high gravity beers, and this place didn't disappoint. We ordered a few things from the menu, and I hope they don't change a thing, but if they do, they CAN NOT change the Oh George burger - if you are a fan of peppery/spicy burgers that can make you forget that cheese and ketchup exist, then you're in the right place. Can't wait to go back - I feel like this is the one time that being an "early adopter" paid off!

Definitely always pleasing. I have been to The Pullman a few times, and I have always been pleased with the food and service. When I have dined here during the week, the atmosphere was cozy and friendly, but on this Friday evening it is lively and upbeat. The servers have been attentive with a relaxed demeanor. This time Matt was my server, and he has been right on time yet not overbearing. I come in with my laptop and use the wifi, and never feel like I am unwelcome as I do in a lot of restaurants as a one-top with a computer. I love the fact that they have an array of specials, and every time I get to try new things that I wasn't even expecting. This time I had the Spinach Salad, the Fried Okra appetizer, and the Spare Rib entree. The salad was delightful. Fried okra was full okra pods with a remoulade aioli-type sauce. Nice. And the rib entree came with some herbed potatoes and veggies. My favorite parts of this meal were definitely the salad and the potatoes/veggies. The raspberry vinaigrette and the plum sauce on the ribs were amazing. The only part of the meal that was not spot-on was that the ribs were slightly chewy. The flavor was great, but the consistency of the meat was a little off. Other than that everything was perfect. I can't wait to come back and try a new special next week. Plus they have rotating local beers on draft. Love it! Shout out to Matt for being an awesome addition to the experience.

Great service, great atmosphere - and most of all, great food. Vegetarian/vegan/gluten free options are available. Open late for night owls. A focus on locally-sourced ingredients and a carefully considered menu. My husband had the Oh George sandwich and loved it; I had the spicy tofu noodle dish, with an emphasis on spicy! It was reminiscent of pho, a good hearty winter meal. We'll definitely be going back for more.

The food was amazing (especially the eggroll special - fried rice!). Also the waitstaff was extremely nice. Like the nicest restaurant experience I have had in awhile.

Unfortunately for vino drinkers ... the wine list is frustrating and overpriced. Poor selection. Poor quality. The french fries, which used be quite good, are now mediocre at best. The portion skimpy. The salads too were meager and scant. Hardly generous for the price. We were really disappointed... we felt "ripped off" and left hungry. Worse, we suffered migranes from the cheap wine. The music is loud and intrusive, especially late. Not exactly your comfy, cozy, little local pub with good cheap eats. There are plenty of others that provide better value and much better wine. It's a cryin' shame. This is our one and only local pub in Kirkwood. Hope they get a clue.

The Pullman fancies itself as a gastropub, which it is not. It is decent pub grub, at best. Had dinner and drinks tonight. My first time since it was Aces. There were 8 people in the place, but it took forever to get our food. Food was average. We had a Philly cheese steak egg roll, which wasn't too bad. We sampled the crawfish special, which was mediocre. My buddy's mahi mahi special was better than my chicken sandwich. There just wasn't anything special about the place- cheap night photos of New York City hanging in the bathroom, avg food, slow service. 12 good beers on tap was a plus. I live 1.5 miles away and won't be back.

Overall, a great addition to the neighborhood, but a couple of suggestions... First, there was no host/hostess. It was a free for all for tables, so maybe a chalkboard could be placed in a prominent place to give some order to the chaos. The Pullman meatloaf sandwich was too much Challah and not enough meatloaf. The truffle fries were not big enough as an appetizer and the fries could have been crispier. They definitely could tweak the portions. The burger is unique with jalapeno mayo and manchego and the turnip greens were a great side choice. The gnocchi were also delicious with peas and pesto. The beer list was kinda meh, but the cocktail list seemed interesting although I didn't try one. The service was awesome and the staff was friendly. Definitely will be making a return visit!

Great service - not overbearing, congenial, but we never lacked for anything. Shared the loaded baked potato fries between four people as an appetizer. Shoestring fries covered in fresh sour cream, Nature's Meat Candy (BACON!), green onions. Their wings were amazing - not battered and fried and drowning in sauce, but crispy nonetheless. Legit wings, ie an entire chicken wing drums, tips, and all. The Oh George! burger was out of this world: manchego, that BACON! again, a spicy (jalapeño?) mayo, mixed greens instead of a slab of iceberg or romaine, ***tomatoes, poppyseed bun. The burger itself was ordered medium, but there was no pink and it wasn't dried out and chewy (maybe they steam them?). Also menu says sesame bun and it arrived on a poppyseed bun, but who cares? Yummy is yummy.

I was so excited about The Pullman opening in Kirkwood. There is definitely a need for a new pub in this neighborhood. In the beginning they didn't seem to have it together, we would always come and leave quickly. It's been several months since it's opening and was told about their new brunch. What a disaster that was. Absolutely no thought has been put into this restaurant, from the ill decor including two measly pictures of trains on one massive wall, a big loud room full of Kirkwood's ever exploding white population of babies, and the totally wacked food. Seriously, I really wish I could have taken a picture of what my plate looked like. I ordered the shrimp and grits. It was totally repulsive. It was swimming in about two inches of butter. Yes, I guess I ordered the new hip entree in Kirkwood, butter soup. Actually, the server named it butter soup. She, herself, stated on how terrible the dish looked. I tried to fish out a spoonful of grits and a frozen, straight out of the bag shrimp. Why do I need to speak to a manager about anything? (as the server recommended) Take this dish that you, yourself commented on, back to the kitchen and take it off my bill. Nope, this didn't happen. She just put it in a to go box for my dog. Pathetic. The other half had the crab cakes and they had a terrible refrigerator taste to them. Besides the food being a total disaster that morning, this place - be it the staff or the bare openess - isn't welcoming. The other half and I have been here, oh about 10 times or so, and always rush out. The only reason this place scores 2 is because of the neighborhood and large open windows in the front. Meh, there are many other places I'd rather go...

was really excited to see this place go in after ACE's closed. was even MORE excited to see that they had a pleasantly surprising gastro-pub menu, which had a few spins on some familiar favorites. My meal was good but I have to quote the husband who said "this is best burger I ever had." Awesome. The mixed drink were quite tasty as well. Overall, we will be returning. No Five stars because the service was a little long but it's early yet and I am sure they will work that out. And just heard they are making brunch. Will be there.
