Great little bagel shop! I received very friendly, polite service unlike some that have left reviews. My bagel was made correctly, and was beautiful. Real, fresh cheddar, a very large & freshly cooked egg on a deliciously & perfectly toasted plain bagel. Easy enough, but the people at the atrocity known as Einsteins have screwed that up more times than I can count. The iced coffee is amazing. The ice cubes are frozen coffee and you can pick the coffee you'd like. They also have a little pump bar with milks and syrups to add to your coffee yourself to make it suite you. This was my first visit & it certainly won't be my last!

The reason I'm giving 3 stars is because I emailed them about my satisfaction and nothing has changed. When they opened almost 3 years ago, it was great. Just as good as the locations in South Florida. We come to Brooklyn Water Bagel on a weekly basis, every single weekend, and like clockwork, the guy in the back making the bagels does a great job. The bagels are delicious, and the bagels are very consistent. That's the best part about this place. I'm not going to say that I'm not sure what has changed, but it is very obvious what has changed....the people that work there. I'm not sure if the owner isn't nice to them or doesn't pay them enough, but the people that work there make or break the place. The people that work behind the counter continuously screw up orders, and the place is just filthy. When there's not a line, the people behind the cash registers just stand there staring around, when they really should be walking through and tidying up, cleaning up, etc. Any other restaurants that cares about how clean they are will go through and clean up the floors, wipe the coffee area, etc. I typically don't give bad reviews, because I like to give the business the benefit of the doubt, especially if I only go there occasionally, but I visit this place easily 50+ times per year, and I'm reporting what I have been seeing there at least for the past year. I emailed the corporate website about this location, and somebody called me back to speak with them. I didn't return the call, because I didn't feel I needed to say anything else other than what I put in the email, nor did I want to accept the free bagel, or whatever it was going to be that they were going to offer me. Instead, I sat back to see if they actually did anything, and they didn't. Also, besides maybe one or two people, the staff appears to be bothered by anybody that asks for anything other than their order, and are far from friendly. When they first opened, everybody was nice, everything was working perfect, the place was clean, it was great. I feel like ever since April left, the place has gone downhill. I'm not sure if she was a manager or something, but she always seemed to keep the place in good shape. Lastly, I feel that the pastries are often stale, or they run out of certain things. A black-and-white cookie shouldn't be able to break a window by 10 AM on a Saturday morning. If you have some left over from the night before, you need to throw them away, not serve them the next morning. I don't know if you're trying to save money or not, but your customers want fresh food. To the owner of this place, you need to do a better job keeping it clean. You need to schedule your staff so there is at least one person walking around and cleaning up all the time. You also need to have friendlier staff, and make them seem like they actually want to be there serving customers.

Very good spot! My boyfriend found it before I moved here and was excited to take me here. Very delicious bagels and good service. I would be a regular here if we hadn't discovered Goldbergs. Still, very solid bagel spot. Order: Bacon, Egg & Cheese on Cinnamon Raisin with hash browns

Maybe my expectations were a little too high in thinking these bagels were going to blow my mind. My anticipation built up when I walked past the kitchen windows and saw their Brooklyn Water machine and how even the soda fountain serves "Brooklyn Water." Look at the walls around you, they're all about New York. My boyfriend and I each got a bagel sandwich and here's how they measured up: Everything Bagel with sliced nova: My goodness, the cream cheese was thick on this one! When ordering, they ask if you'd like the other items on it. Uh, yes, please: tomato, onions, capers and make it toasted. The result was a massive sandwich. Asiago Bagel with egg/veggies: It was like having a veggie omelette in a sandwich. This was alright. I think we both preferred the bagel sandwich with the nova. I give this place points for a consistent bagel because Einstein's (and I know we're comparing this place to a franchise, so it's not even apples to apples) tends to serve some oddly, uneven shaped bagels. However, Brooklyn Water Bagels' bagels almost seems too perfect, like a robot must have made these to be so consistent. And well, I just couldn't taste or see what made these bagels so special or out of the ordinary. Maybe I need to truly eat a bagel in Brooklyn to find out. Probably won't be coming back again.

I was in the area for business and needed a place that was close for breakfast. I'd been to the other restaurants in the area previously but never to this one. The interior is as you would expect for a theme, bold prints on the wallpaper, plenty of seating, and you can even watch them prepare the bagels. The bagels are good and better than some of the local competition. Service was decent. Plenty of parking.

I was craving smoked salmon and the closest place to satisfy my need was a lox bagel at The Original Brooklyn Water Bagels Co. I'd never been and I'd only had water bagels at BB's Bagels (a favorite). I'll be visiting again :) Oh and they have a glass window were you can watch how they make water bagels! NOVA BAGEL SANDWICH - $7.99 Mission accomplished. Good serving of smoked salmon, also red onions, capers, tomato and ... well, too much cream cheese which I had to scrape out. Loved my bagel most of all - chose the multi-grain which was perfectly toasted and had a nice chew. Next time I'd also like to try their gigantic black/white cookies that Kristin B was raving about. They were sold-out when I went.

Brooklyn Water Bagels is probably my favorite of the chain bagel places. This outpost is located in the strip mall next to the Bed Bath & Beyond. Like their name states, they use the same kind of water that they use in Brooklyn, and they are one of the few places that actually boils their bagels, resulting in a "chew" that most other places can't replicate. Though they have a pretty full menu of breakfast and lunch foods both with and without bagels, you can't go wrong with a basic everything bagel and a schmear, which will only set you back a couple of bucks. The whole bakery case of sweet options also looks very tempting, especially the black and white cookies! I also appreciate their wide variety of drink options, including the fact that the iced coffee comes with frozen coffee ice cubes to keep your drink from diluting as the ice melts. All in all, a solid bagel joint.

I'm from New York and there is nothing like a New York bagel. Nothing. Brooklyn Water Bagel brings New York bagels to Atlanta. They are the best. Hands down. And to top it off they have an awesome iced coffee bar. You get a cup of coffee ice cubes and can choose from flavored syrups, creamers and cold coffees. I love making different recipes. This is a place I will visit frequently as long as they are here - which I hope is forever. I am so happy I found a piece of home near my new home.

When I arrived I stood in line behind someone who was paying for their food. When they were done they moved aside and the person behind the register walked away. There was never anyone who greeted me or acknowledged my presence. After a few minutes the person returned to the register, looked up confused and asked if I had been helped yet. I was turned off by the service, but figured maybe the food is really good as there is usually a good crowd. I ordered my bagel toasted with butter and 25 minutes later it still wasn't ready. I got a refund and they did apologize, but I only ordered one thing and I can't imagine what happened. It wasn't that busy there, but for the orders they needed to fill there was one guy working behind the window on all of them. My review is purely based on my experience and service. Did not get to try the bagels. If you are in a hurry I would not go here... as a matter of fact, I would not go here again under any circumstances.

Really delicious. I recommend the nova cream cheese instead of the slices nova sandwich. The Brooklyn water definitely makes a difference. Bagels are fresh. Inside is clean. Lots of choices for coffee.

Best bagel I have had in a while!, and the staff was equally as great! It is a little more corporate feeling than I would like, but the bagels are delicious! I got the asiago bagel with cream cheese and the iced coffee. The coffee has coffee ice cubes, which as everyone says is pretty great. They also have multiple flavors of ices coffee which is great, and they have a lot of topping/additives to the coffee. I had a great time and will definitely be back.

As always, great bagels and the food is served hot. The restaurant is nicely laid out with easy access and plenty of seating. The reason the restaurant got 3 stars was because every table in the front of the restaurant was dirty and needed to be wiped down. In addition, the staff could be friendlier. The restaurant was not so busy that the staff couldn't get to the task of cleaning the tables. Great bagels great food, dirty tables. It would be so easy for this restaurant to get 5 stars.

I am a huge fan of bagels. While not great for my health, it's a childhood addiction I haven't been able to cure. Visiting Atlanta for the first time I had to see what the scene was like for bagels, so I did some research and stumbled across The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Company. What was more surprising was that there was a serious lack of places beyond that, besides a few Einstein's and a place called Goldberg's with mixed reviews. There was also B.B.'s Bagels, but it was too far out of the way for me on this trip to go try. The Brooklyn Water Company appealed to me because they had been mentioned in a national bagel review and anyone who knows bagels knows that the city water used in the boiling and baking process is a big factor in their taste. These obviously don't use Brooklyn water, but they do their best attempt. The end result? Pretty dang good. First off, the bagels are big and have a nice filling doughy taste, with the sandwiches clocking in at a ginormous size. The cream cheese is fantastic, whatever they use is top notch and I want to get some for the homefront if it's possible. Egg and Sausage both tasted fresh. My wife was disappointed her sandwhich just had bacon bits instead of full strips, but agreed that everything tasted yummy. I agree with some of the reviews here that the bagels do appear a bit too processed. This isn't a New York bagel, and it isn't even the best attempt I've seen at a re-creation. It is however still very good, boiled well, and better than the other chains. The prices are great, much cheaper than I expected with sandwiches clocking in at $3-5, and regular bagels less. They have an exceptional sampling of coffee, iced coffee, and creamers. Service was VERY good, the girl at the counter was extremely polite and helpful despite having to deal with a busy stream of customers including several people who interrupted us ordering to ask for changes to their orders. She also brought us our food when it was up and wished us a nice day on the way out. These are the little touches that win you a star on my yelp reviews. Lastly the atmosphere was fun for a bagel place, lots of booths and a full view of the creation process. Sure it's in a strip mall and maybe in a big city like Atlanta it won't always be worth the pilgrimage or be the same as a real New York or Montreal bagel, but this is a place I'd go regularly if I lived near it. If you are also a lover of bagels, make it a point to drop in.

The bagels are very good...however, I was surprised at the staff. They stood and complained about having to keep the seating area clean. One said it wasn't in his job description. Maybe 4 tables with customers so not very busy...yet every open table needed to be wiped off. My sandwich was very good, but the attitude of the staff needs work. A customer approached to order and a staff member was visibly annoyed that he was in her way as she was preparing to sweep in front of the register. I hear Goldberg s is nice.

Wanted to try this place after I saw the reviews. The whole "Brooklyn Water" thing I didn't really care about. Good food is all that matters. Wasn't disappointed at all! They have a variety of flavored bagels and already created sandwiches, muffins, and like most people on here have raved about....ICED COFFEE!!!! Bagels are good and always fresh and soft. I always get the everything bagel with nova and cream cheese. They go heavy on the cream cheese which is always yummy, but I take some off. And of course, you can always ask for it that way too. The iced coffee......better than any Starbucks I've had! The ice cubes are coffee and you finish it off with adding the milk or cream of your choice. They have different syrup flavored options as well. Be careful though, because you can make it too sweet fast! Giving it 5 stars simply because of the ice coffee (only place I know of who does this concept), but if it was on food alone I'd choose 4. Would like to see more options on the menu. Hours could be later too.

15 minutes to get a plain bagel with butter. I would have asked for a refund but that would probably take just as long. Won't be back.

The food is good, but the place is very poorly run. They always run out of bagels before noon on the weekends and the owner is clueless.

    (3)
  • Bruce K.

It was a good bagel. None of this "asiago cheese" or "blueberry" nonsense. It was a proper "everything" bagel. KnowwutImean? Topped with cream cheese, tomato and sliced nova salmon, hold the onions. As for the coffee, charging $2.79 for a 20 ounce cup o' Joe is simply mad.

I ordered the manhattan, aka the lox bagel. really good! fast service as well. was in and out in a matter of 10 min tops. def satisfied my craving for bagel and they do compare to the ones from the East Coast!

Bagels are good just not even close to what I was hoping for with the name. I don't see myself driving past Einsteins and Panera to get here again.

I've had the pleasure of coming to The Brooklyn water bagel Co a few times and every time has been great. I am a huge fan of the Asiago bagel. Also they have some really good muffins. They have there own water filtration system to make the bagels and they also have there own bottled water. My usual order is for breakfast which is the sausage egg and cheese on the Asiago bagel. Also I really enjoy the Brooklyn street map theme they have going on. If your there in the morning you can sit back with a cup of coffee and read the paper which they have lying around for there patrons.

After doing two FitClub events this morning, I was feeling pretty entitled to a bagel for breakfast. Kristin B. suggested that we all check out this joint, and if I recall correctly, none of us had ever been. Yay for trying new places! I arrived later than everyone because I am not familiar with Vinings and basically ended up driving around the area before getting here. Mind you, it was less than 1 mile from the fitness studio that we had come from. Make your jokes about women not being able to find their way around. Only make it about me. Because there are some that are really good at orienting themselves wherever they are. Don't be a sexist, man (or woman). Okay, back to bagels. I walked in and noticed that the eating space was quite large, though more long and narrow than wide and expansive. But definitely enough for a huge crowd to stop in for weekend breakfast with even kids in tow. I approached the counter and perused the menu, though just between you and me, I already knew. I order the same freakin' combination almost every single time. Everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. How can you go wrong with this? If you don't like this, I dislike you. Okay, just kidding. But really? How you can you not?!?! Anyway, I paid and saw Heidi P., Lindy F., and Kristin B. already seated and ran over to place down my cup of water and bag. I ran to the restroom to wash my hands. I mean, I did do two fitness classes after all. I am not a germaphob whatsoever and maybe need to be more cautious but I figured that since I'd get my paws all over bagel, it would be better to play it safe. Bathroom was very clean! Just for one, so no stalls. Nobody was in it, so no waiting for me. My bagel came out quickly, lightly toasted as requested with a huge glob of cream cheese. I love cream cheese so this pleased me highly. I dug in after taking the mandatory food shot and was very happy. First off, I was hungry since I hadn't eaten that morning (luckily, or I may have left behind a present for everyone after the classes ended). But more importantly, the bagel was good. Pretty big bagel, which I always appreciate. Doughy with LOTS of the everything seasoning (probably poppy and sesame seeds, garlic, onions, and sea salt). Not as doughy as the bagel at a super well known (but multiple low-score health rating score recipient in the past year) north Atlanta place, but better than chain bagels. Now can we talk about the cream cheese?! I just requested veggie cream cheese, so I am guessing that it was not the low-fat variety, which I was totally hoping for anyway. This may be the best, most fresh-tasting veggie cream cheese that I have ever had. It tasted as if it were just made for my bagel, with crunchy and fresh bits of veggies (I am not entirely sure of everything in it, but I could see and feel carrots and maybe green onions?). I was really savoring my post-workout treat and was thankful that the chewiness of the bagel slowed me down, otherwise, I would have just inhaled the thing (I have got to learn to slow down when I eat...). You clean up after yourself, which is easy with the disposable products that the food came out on. Clean and not very busy at about 12:30 pm on a Sunday. Friendly and prompt service. Stop by. And now that it is next door to Bed, Bath, & Beyond. Thanks for the tidbit, Kristin B.!

Bagels are very good. Service is below horrible at best.... with the exception of one sweet lady that works randomly (great smile, colored tipped hair). Shaniqua, who works the counter (and may be a manager) is a miserable, frowning, sharp tongued person who has no business working in the service industry. Found the review that was written about sub standard service being a norm due to the fact the establishment was not up scale is not accurate. That is no excuse for simply being rude. If you work in the service industry and don't like (or even act) like you like people. Get a new job. Go for the bagels for sure, expect below standard service.

Good enough. I would call it the Subway of bagels. The employees were a little apathetic. The bagel itself was good, but not "drive out of my way" good. Not a fan of the coffee ice cubes either in the iced coffee. When they melt, they just taste like unsweetened stale coffee from yesterday. They do have lots of options of different kinds of creams to use in your coffee. My table was dirty, but maybe they just had a busy morning.

    (3)
  • Terry H.

Love, luv, luv the iced coffee. You can choose from different flavors and creams to suit your flavor palate. The bagels are made fresh and flavored cream cheese's are a very good compliment. Also try the muffins.

The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. got its name because the owners use "Brooklynized" water to make their bagels. Some folks in the food industry like to replicate and use New York City water. For example, Timone's in Virginia-Highland has its own water filtration system to produce New York water, which is used to make its pizza dough. The restaurant has an open kitchen behind glass where you can view the bagels being made from start to finish. The key component is the "Brooklyn Water Works" where tap water is converted into Brooklynized water. Everything in the store is made from this Brooklynized water. You can even buy bottles of it and take it home with you. They serve bagels in different forms and fashions (e.g. assorted bagels, bagel sandwiches) and offer many different types of coffee. There's an entire bar of self-serve coffee canisters in front of the ordering counter along with a bevy of creams and sweeteners/syrups. They have 16 different kinds of bagels ranging from multigrain to pumpernickel to rye to cinnamon raisin to Asiago. Bagels are about $1 each and about $11 for a dozen. Sandwiches are under $10 each. You can also get fresh baked daily muffins and New York pretzels. I tried one of the store's "Scooper Melts," which is a bagel that has been scooped out so only the exterior shell remains. Inside, they fill it with various ingredients. I ordered the Monte Cristo, which is the most popular Scooper Melt. It comes with turkey, ham, and Swiss cheese with Russian dressing (looks like thousand island dressing) on the side. You can choose any type of bagel for your sandwiches so I went with what the staff recommended -- the "everything" bagel. I wasn't a huge fan. Since I was only eating the outside of the bagel as the "bread," it was tough and crispy. The inside of the sandwich was dry and bland. The Russian dressing on the side was much needed. If I could do it over, I would've ordered a regular bagel sandwich that uses the whole bagel. That way, I would've been able to taste an entire bagel. The melt did come out piping hot from the kitchen. I had to wait for a few minutes to let it cool off. I couldn't tell if the Brooklynized water made a difference. The day I went, there was a special: free coffee (hot or iced) with any sandwich order. I went with the iced coffee (medium/large sizes roughly $3-4). The iced coffee was very good. When they serve you iced coffee, they hand you a cupful of decaf coffee ice cubes. You take this cup to the self-serve coffee station and fill it up with the coffee of your choice. The coffee was the most enjoyable part my experience. The coffee ice cubes last for a long time so you can get refills. Service was attentive and informative. The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. Atlanta is located in the Akers Mill Shopping Center near the Cobb Cloverleaf (where I-75 and I-285 meet). There are also several locations in Florida and one in California (Beverly Hills). The company is endorsed by Larry King.

The Brooklyn Bagel sandwich was...incredible. HUGE bagel with tons of meat and eggs and other amazing things. Even with coffee, my meal cost less than $8, which is pretty dadgum good for a nice breakfast. More than satisfied.

This place is just OK. My breakfast bagel was a mess. And there was entirely too much cheese and egg for the meat in it. That said, the coffee ice cubes for iced coffee is brilliant!

We were on the cobb side of town last sunday, so we had to take out a dozen bagels again. Best bagels in town. Wish they were in Dunwoody/ sandy springs though. Never tempted to eat- in meal only because always coming or going somewhere else when there

  • Alex K.

The place is much bigger inside than outside. I just ordered a normal wheat bagel with low-fat cream cheese so nothing unique or special about the order and nothing unique or special about the way they make it. I will say the service was really slow. It took 10 minutes to receive the order and it was just moderately crowded. Also, it was hard to find a table, not because they were crowded but because very few of the tables were cleaned off. The food runner wasn't very friendly and just kind of dished it off to me when I raised my hand. Can't honestly say there's anything special about this place. If I come back, maybe I'll try to order something different but I will definitely order it to go.

I was really excited to try The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Company. I don't eat bagels often but do have one as a treat in occasion. My husband and I grabbed to go bagel sandwiches. I was just not that impressed with the food or beverages, especially considering the price. I was indecisive and ordered the chicken sal sandwich based on the recommendation of the cashier. My husband had the Reuben Scoopermelt. The chicken salad was overladen with mayonnaise and lacked flavor. The Reuben was decent, nothing special. The iced coffees were good and the coffee ice cubes are a great idea. Again, I'm not sure if the price is worth it.

In case you hadn't heard, I am from NJ. So I know alllll about the "water" thing. If you don't know what I am talking about, they say bread (pizza, bagels, etc) is better up North in NJ, NY, etc because of the water. I don't know about the secrets of the mysterious H2O but I know northern breads have definitely got it goin ON! I have written off ESteins.. But will go if I'm desperate. And I have become a regular at my local GBergs bagel co... But BWB Co served me a pretty darn tasty bagel. One thing they do that is important to me is put "Everything" flavors equally on both sides. So I can eat one half at a time without rationing the more well-endowed side's savory "sprinkles" or scraping the bottom of my wax paper to pick up stray ones with the plainer side. They skimped a little on the butter but I guess it's better for my health that way. I wasn't thrilled with the atmosphere as it felt a little too chainy and fast-foody to be a "Brooklyn bagel co" but the coffee (hot or iced) and the creamer/flavor pump section was definitely impressive. Also, they have a window along the walkway to the counter where you can watch the bagels being made. I would go back but maybe only if I'm in the area.. Not #1 in my book but a contenda' and def better than ESteins.

Discovered this place on a whim while in the area for a wedding. Throwing "Brooklyn" in the title definitely attracted me as it instantly brought to mind fond memories of bagel shoppes from when I used to live in New Jersey/New York. With that being said, I got a simple plain bagel toasted with cream cheese. In my mind, if you can't nail down the basics, it doesn't matter if you have salmon on your menu or not. (Which they do, and other reviewers enticed me quite a bit to try it - I will be making another visit) The bagel was perfect. They do simple stunningly, and it was a true source of comfort for my northern heart. The environment is clean and tidy, and as its located in Cobb county, it's clear that they cater to the area in their menu selection. They have a few spreads available (peanut butter, garlic, were ones that caught my eye) as well a pretty decent selection of bagels and other pastries, sandwiches and goods. However, in my mind I'm used to an endless assortment of bagels available. You won't find that here, but what I can tell you is that what they do offer, they do quite well.

Definitely a fan. Some of the best bagels I've had in Atlanta, and the bagel sandwiches are very good. If you're a fan of Einstein Bros (I'm not really, but they're obviously pretty popular), you need to try Brooklyn Water Bagels - they blow Einstein's out of the water in both bagel and fillings. Sausage, egg, and cheese bagel has good quality sausage and plentiful FRESH eggs (not that rubbery crap you get at so many places). The Monte Cristo is solid, and they have an excellent scallion cream cheese.

  • Joe T.

This spot has improved. The service is better and friendlier. And it's now kept clean. Also, they've added more menu items and made it easier to understand the menu. My only gripes are that none of the several flavors of coffee are good, and the breakfast sandwiches are wrapped super hot and the red ink from the paper liner melts and transfers to your bagel and eggs. I don't want to eat ink.

My fave star rating is based on the bagels and only the bagels. As a native NY'er my affinity for bagels runs deep and true to my heart. Oh how I crave the crisp exterior, chewy center and the earthly flavors of a well adorned everything bagel. Not only do these bagels satisfy my craving but upon returning to NY and revisiting my favorite bagel shop of the first 30 years of my life. Dare I say I preferred the bagels of my new favorite shop in Atlanta?? As I said the rating is for the bagels. I find the majority of the rest of the food somewhat lacking from the eggs to chicken and tuna salad etc. The bagels however is where they shine!

I was there last week for the first time. I had a everything bagel toasted with Lox cream cheese spread. It was the best bagel I had in the Atlanta area! Lost of lox in the cream cheese and I mean A LOT! this place for the price $3.29 beets out Goldberg's on the price and the quality. My friend had the peanut butter which was also great. I was surprised to see the coffee bar and the U-bet syrup. I will be back again. Only thing is I hope they stay in business. It seems all the great places in this city do not stay long.

Recently heard of this breakfast place, so I thought I'd give it a try. Charmaine cheerfully greeted me upon entering, adding(/responding to my hat which says "I Love Jesus") "I love Jesus too!",which set a positive atmosphere, and was echoed by April, the cook, who confirmed, "I love Jesus too!".[Like Kurt Franklin said 'we can have some church right here!!!'] Okay. I ordered 1 Protein Melt Scooper on a multi-grain bagel with hash browns and mixed fruit salad for dessert. Simple. Fair price. All very good. Nice ambience-soothing music from yesteryear. You'd find it pleasant, worthwhile and enjoyable.

I am giving this a top star rating based on the bagels alone. The rating reflects what is available in the Atlanta area. Any New Yorker who ate bagels on Sundays would NEVER set foot in an Einstein Bagel. Tried Goldberg's and all the raves didn't ring true. Brooklyn Bagels is the best you get in the Atlanta area. The perfect crisp to chewy ratio, nice large size for a good smear! The everything bagel is yummy.

I'm not a bagel connoisseur. So I have no idea what I'm talking about here. But I will say this place didn't seem too bad. Just like pizzas, I guess some people think NY bagels taste better because of the water. Is that true? Who knows? One of the gimmicks here is using Brooklyn Water for their bagels. They sell a variety of bagels such as plain and multigrain. They also have several choices to make your bagel. You can get them as melts, spreads, sandwiches, and egg-breakfast sandwiches. I got the Nova sandwich which consisted of cream-cheese of my choice, salmon, and tomatoes. I got mine with plain bagel and cream cheese. It wasn't bad. Since bagels are calorie dense, I got full with just one sandwich. One cool thing Brooklyn Water Bagel Company has is if you get a sandwich, you can get a free cup of iced coffee. They give you a cup with frozen coffee ice. That's pretty cool. They also have a ton of decaf and caffeinated coffee flavors. They also have a ton of stuff you can put into your coffee like soy milk, milk, cream, half and half, and a variety of different types of syrups. It's unlimited cup too. So if you love coffee, this is the place to go. I got the Hannah Banana flavored coffee. I don't know why, I just felt like I had to get that flavor. Their water is also from imported from Brooklyn. Could I tell the difference? No. It tasted like tap water to me. What about the bagels? They tasted like any old bagels. I couldn't tell a difference. Anyway, I still found the bagel sandwiches tasty. I liked the free ice coffee. It looks like a decent place to get some bagels.

Our go-to bagel place. We are from NJ and we would be lost without this place!! Absolutely love their bagels. If you ask for salt pepper ketchup (north thing) with your egg and cheese bagel they'll say " we don't do that here" which is so weird to me. That is my only complaint but I wouldn't even go so far to call it one. Also their fresh oj is sooooooooooo gooooood. Service is okay. Bagels are awesome!! Edit: They apparently don't serve fresh oj anymore :(!

If you're a Northern transplant aching for the boiled-then-baked bagel of your birthplace, whether it be Long Island, Brooklyn, Jersey, Philly, Boston, etc, then you have finally found the spot in Atlanta where you can come and get your bagel fix. That perfect combination of slightly crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, made with "authentic" Brooklyn water that every New Yorker will tell you (whether you want to hear it or not) is the real reason why the bread in New York (comprising everything from bagels, to kaiser rolls, to the perfection of New York pizza crusts) is superior to everywhere else. And please, while you're there with your friends who may be fellow transplants from the Midwest or even native Georgians (a vanishing species in Metro Atlanta), please admonish them for daring to have a fresh bagel toasted! It ruins the perfect chewiness! And force them to try the wonders of an everything bagel with lox and cream cheese, because it's truly wondrous here at The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Company. Also, as a special treat, you may spy a few Atlantan celebrities from time to time who are in the know about these perfect bagels.

Bagels are yummy but what I REALLY love is the iced coffee (the ice cubes are frozen joe! So smart!), and the free refills. I love this place. Fresh squeezed OJ, too.

Overpriced. The bagel quality is just good. The sausage & egg quality is terrible. What's the point of a delicious bagel but horrible meat and eggs?? Hashbrown is at best gas station quality. If you must stick to bagel and cream cheese here. But I wouldn't come again.

My favorite breakfast spot! This place seriously has the best bagels in town, and the coffee is even better! If you are a coffee drinker, you must check this place out.

To be perfectly honest, these bagels didn't seem any different than the ones I get from Einstein's or Dunkin. I was expecting some type of earth shattering a-ha bagel moment, but unfortunately, this did not happen. Came here one morning on the way to work as it's right around the corner from my office. First off, let me say that this place is a lot larger than I would have imagined from the outside. Super, super spacious and tons of tables. The dining area was very clean and bright. It took me a moment to determine what to order, but ultimately decided to stick with my standard choice: the everything bagel. I ordered it with the chive cream cheese. I did notice that this everything bagel wasn't as oniony or as salty as a lot of the others that I've had - which made me sad. Those are the 2 reasons I order an everything bagel. I will say that the bagel was large and very soft, but the flavor just wasn't there for me. The employees seemed nice enough, though no one seemed overly eager to take my order or assist with my breakfast decision making process. Oh well, it was early and everyone can't be a morning person I suppose. What I think is best about this place is the coffee selection. They had a ton of different varieties and syrups from which to choose. I'm not a huge coffee drinker and didn't get any on this particular occasion, but the wide variety of options made me want to make a return trip just to investigate further. On this occasion, I was on the hunt for some sweet tea. Unfortunately, all they had was unsweetened (ugh) and some passion fruit what-the-hell-ever stuff (double ugh). This is Georgia...get it together.

I've only been here once so far...but damn that bagel sandwich was delicious!! I'm a Brooklyn boy till the day I die...so I support any company with the word Brooklyn in it..and this one was not a let down. After I had a wack ass sandwich down the block from here, I decided when I got into my car to turn it back off and pick up a bagel..just to see how they taste. I was happy to see that they offer bagel sandwiches. I ordered the Protein sandwich. Grilled chicken, mushrooms, spinach, swiss cheese on a Black Russian bagel. I think they even scoop out some of the bagel to get more stuff in it. It was great..soft but toasted..just good. Ill definitely go back and try some other stuff. Sounds like they have great deals on bagels too. Chick at the counter was cute...can't hurt. All my coffee drinkers...they got madddd coffee to choose from.

Huge coffee and cream selection. They're very busy on weekends so plan your second choice bagel before arriving, because they just may not have it. Overall, this place is great! Btw, bagels are the only bread they offer. They do not have croissant or sandwich bread. Unfortunately, children and seniors who can chew well won't have any softer bread options. It's bagels, muffins or nothing at all.

A co worker made me venture into this place and it was worth it. Ambience - Clean. If you are down for a history lesson of Brooklyn-- get ready! I love seeing pictures of areas I grew up in and see how demographic shifts dramatically changes things, sometimes for the better. Food - ordered breakfast -- everything bagel with egg, bacon, and cheese. Price was reasonable. The bagel tasted good. I don't understand the hype of Brooklyn water and I was raised there? The egg was artificial and super thick w chunks of bacon in it. Half of the bagel sandwich was filling enough for me. Service - Staff was friendly. I would go back.

Food was cold, order was wrong and mysterious green item in plain bagel. Bagel was expensive too. Ok wrong order but cold food too on $6 bagel?

The bagels are ok. I'm from Brooklyn so I know that they are not close to being bagels from Brooklyn. I have been there a few times. The chicken soup is pretty good.

My standards for bagels are high. Not that I'm a connoisseur (I'm more like a bagel slut), but I admit I've been spoiled by the likes of my favorite bagel place in Toco Hills. So I had to wonder if what these guys have going on in the way of bagel really makes a difference. And I have to say, I don't think it does. This place *tries* to bring something of a New York deli experience. And they come close, but I think they miss the mark. It's missing something--not sure what. Don't get me wrong, my lox was good, but I've had better. Besides, I'm wary of places that pipe in their own propaganda (ads) instead of just playing music or news or whatever is on the television in the corner. Why they gotta try to convince me so hard? Now the black & white cookie? That was really remarkable. Go there for that. Staff was also very personable, friendly, and full of suggestions. They were great. If you go, I encourage you to read the actual label on the bottles of Brooklyn Water for sale here. Maybe, like me, you'll laugh.

I was intrigued to try the bagels here, so I did my run at the nearby Pallisades and went here afterwards. Disappointing: - slow line - not friendly - sesame seed bagel had a taste of mold - banana-flavored coffee? OK, blame me for trying it. - got a bag for my eat-in bagels--not environmentally friendly - some connection to Larry King--that should've been my first clue

A new bagel shop by the office?? This was all I needed to push me into a 12 step program. The only thing that kept me from gaining an extra 20 pounds this past year was no bagel places by the j-o-b. Enter Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. I was skeptical trying them out the first time...you know, that whole chain thing and all. But the bagel was actually quite delicious with that scallion cream cheese. Two of my favorites in the Atlanta area are Essex in Johns Creek and Brooklyn Bagel Bakery on Old Alabama/Haynes Bridge. This bagel was just as good as those I've had at either one of these places. I'm a coffee junkie, so I was fairly sure I wouldn't like the coffee at this place. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! I ordered the iced coffee so I could try out those ice cubes made of coffee and it was delicious. Even the boyfriend - who is one of those annoying people who thinks everything is better in NY - thought this bagel was pretty damn good. I'm sure we'll be back, but I hope I can adopt a little moderation in my life in order to avoid the 20 pound weight gain!

The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the cheesy mural of black and white photos of old Brooklyn and the lineup of a hundred or so blue bottles of "Brooklyn water" along the other wall. Water imported from Brooklyn? I wish I knew it was so valuable when I lived there growing up. Anyway, for the record, there is no factual evidence that the secret of a real New York bagel is the water. That's an urban myth that's been seized upon by the company's marketing geniuses to differentiate their products from the competition and justify selling tap water for a $1-something a bottle. I gave my order for a breakfast sandwich to a bored cashier who repeated it, took my money, gave me my change, and then went back to whatever she was doing before I interrupted her reverie. Five minutes later she wordlessly plops the sandwich (scrambled eggs, cheese and sausage on an onion bagel) on my table and trudges away. I take a bite of one half of the sandwich and the insides shoot out from between the sliced bagel and arc to a landing back into the plastic basket from whence it came, facilitated by the lubricating nature of its melted cheese. Tried again. Same result. So I decided eat the bagel separately and to eat the insides with a knife and fork. I inquired about the whereabouts of the utensils. "On the wall," my gracious service person mumbled, not even taking the trouble to point. The wall was festooned with multiple dispensers of coffees, soda dispensers, etc. I paced back and forth looking, but couldn't find the utensils. Service person offered no assistance. Finally found them cleverly hidden within sparsely marked wall dispensers and wrestled out un knife and un fork. This chain announces that it is partly owned by Larry King. Stick to talk show hosting, Larry. If you want a real Brooklyn bagel, you'll have to got to New York. Feh!

I was interested to try these bagels after hearing about the concept several years ago. The bagels are great, authentic Brooklyn texture and flavor. The options to go on the bagel are another story. If you like cream cheese on your bagel as I do, you can have plain, nova, scallion or veggie...THAT'S IT. They also have butter, Peanut Butter and jelly but come on. How hard is it to have several flavored cream cheeses? There is also a very mega-restaurant, corporate vibe to the place. All very polished and planned. It reminded me of McDonalds and was a very cookie-cutter feeling interior.

OMG. The best muffin ever! Light, fluffy, chocolatey goodness. I know, I know -- who eats muffins at a place that headlines epic bagels?! The hubs went today and so enjoyed his everything bagel sandwich; he just couldn't resist the magical case of muffins. Lucky for me, he was kind enough to save me half, and my lord, am I so pleased he did! Whatever you do, DO NOT pass up these mini loaves of pure deliciousness!

Best bagels in Smyrna. Gives bagelicious a run for best bagel in Atlanta. Would have been 5 star except at times the staff is not the best. If you go on Saturday or Sunday for breakfast you are good to go

Better than Goldberg's. Bagles are the best that I've found this close to Sandy Springs. Always friendly staff and good place for meetings--except they play the TV way to loud with annoying morning shows. Please turn down the View, thanks!

The best bagel south of NY. They claim to have the mineral content of NY tap water figured out. Not sure how true it is, but whatever it is, it works.

Being from the northeast, there are two staples to eating that I try as hard as I can not to compromise on in Atlanta: pizza and bagels. Up until now, I hadn't found a bagel place that made me feel like I was eating one from the north. Brooklyn Bagel made it possible for me to stop the search. I wouldn't say they make the absolute best bagels I've ever had, but I would put them on-par with most good places up north, and to me, that deserves 5 stars in Georgia. They have TASTE! They're BIG! They're FRESH! It's sad that most people down here are okay with store-bought bagels that come in plastic bags. For just a little more, you get great tasting bagels, and they're really affordable. I order a baker's dozen plain and escape with paying like $11.25. Freeze them and add some peanut butter or lunch meat of my own for lunch at work, and that's a good tasting, cheap meal. Give this place a shot if you haven't yet. The people there are friendly as well, and that's always nice.

My new favorite bagel place in ATL! Their prices are better than my regular place I go to. Their bagels are bigger with more toppings on the whole bagel instead of just the top. We got a bakers dozen (which came with a free half dozen) and two bacon, egg and cheese bagels and they were FANTASTIC! They were so big that my wife could only finish half. I highly recommend this place if you are a bagel fan in search of a great bagel :)

Their bagels are good. Muffins are great. Also, the fresh squeezed OJ is outstanding. But two very big things resulted in their 2 stars over a potential 4 star rating: 1) SERVICE - The service here is just awful. I've been here probably 5 times so far and each and every time I've been treated in an extremely unfriendly, unwelcoming manor. It's as if you're bothering these girls who are there to take your order. No smiles, not even a "may I take your order?" They literally just stand there and look at you. I had to physically ask them if they could take my order just yesterday. The front end employees here are pitiful. This results in a less than favorable experience every time I've been. 2- For God sakes, use real eggs, not that fake yellow fluffy egg thing that every other place is using. If I wanted that I'd go to McDonalds. A real egg would likely cost the business less as well. You put all this effort into your food and then you ruin it with crappy imitation egg product. From now on I plan on just getting the cream cheese as apposed to an egg sandwich.

I actually was more impressed with the bevy of drink options/creamers/ etc.. then I was with the bagel themselves. at almost $20 for 2 lox bagels ( and without capers-boo) and a drink I would have much rather gone to Goldberg's (for almost 1/2 the price). The bagels were decent, nothing too fancy to rave about.

Bagel place with no passion for seemingly anything except coffee syrups I did not get the feeling the the owner had a passion for baking, or for bagels. . I encountered 4 employees, several ignored my presence, and one assisted me in between sips from her drink. I really think at least two of them were pretending to be zombies, or on some really heavy anti psychotic drugs. The bagels are machine formed from dough made in house. The dough was simply off, very dense and lacking in flavor or complexity. Sadly I think even Einsteins (who I hate) has better dough. The everything toppings were missing rye and included cinnamon. Yes CINNAMON! If I stil had been in the restaurant I would have gotten a refund it was so bad. The layout of the restaurant was ridiculous, operationally speaking. They had to run all over the restaurant repeatedly to toast my bagel and wrap it in paper, but it in another bag, and hand it to me. Thank goodness I only got one bagel. If I had a dozen I would be tempted to give them to homeless people instead of eating them.

They have black bread bagels. I've never seen those elsewhere, but they are now resting proudly atop my bagel list. If you like black bread, and happen to also like bagels, then this is for you. The cinnamon raisin bagels are also nice. Unlike most efforts, they are not overly sweet. It's nice to enjoy the bite of the cinnamon, complemented by the innate sweetness of the raisin, without overpowering the essence of the bagel itself. I saw several plates of bagel pizza and sandwiches heading to tables, so those will be on the docket for the next go round. As a native Southerner, I cannot state that the idea of water from Brooklyn is appealing in and of itself, but I must admit that the bagels are delicious. I will definitely go back again.

Used to be great, I treat myself to a bagel with cream cheese every Friday morning. Now I have to buy my own cream cheese because there is not enough on there to cover even half of a bagel. And it costs $1 extra! CHEAP!

While in Atlanta, we were searching for a bagel for breakfast. Right across the street was a Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. We were very surprised by their bagels. The plain bagel was one of the best I have had while their bagel sandwiches were HUGE! I have never had a bagel sandwich filled with such goodness. You'll have to try one of their bagel sandwiches. Service was fast as well. One the way out, we decided to purchase a chocolate chip cookie dipped half in chocolate as a snack later. Let's just say I can't wait for the Charlotte location to open.

Its a good bagel shop - muffins looked tempting. I got the everything bagel with cream cheese (boring I know). It took no time to come out. I would have preferred it was a little hotter. Slammed packed with cream cheese, the amount they gave me could have been spread on 3 bagels...i'm not complaining, i'll just be sure to get it on the side next round.

A weekend favorite of ours! Even better bagels then goldbergs and bagelicous and it's close to Smyrna!!! Good tuna salad, loxs cream cheese and loxs! Hubbie loves the ice coffee and have used 1 time for catering a brunch- which they did well (they do offer mini bagels if you order in advance) Def a much needed good bagel spot in the area!

I'm not sure how this place has four stars. I suppose those people have not experienced tasty, authentic bagels. I, on the other hand, am kind of a bagel connoisseur. The bagels at The Original Brooklyn Water Bagels Co are just subpar. They're not the worst bagels in the world, but certainly aren't the best. Adding insult to injury, they serve these atrocious artificial egg patties. My friend and I both ordered bacon, egg and cheese on everything bagels. The bacon appeared to be microwaved inside of the egg patty (envision chewy pieces of uncooked bacon mixed inside of an enormous artificial egg-like substance). Absolutely unacceptable! We both could stomach only about two bites before deciding to discard. Never again will I frequent this establishment. Total waste!

I'm a New Yorker living in Smyrna and I've searched for authentic NY bagels for years. OBWBC is the real deal. They also have fresh-squeezed OJ and the bell ringer is authentic Black & White cookies. The bagels are delicious and the service is improving. I am now a regular. Hello Brooklyn!

I have had an everything bagel w/ light cream cheese for b'fast, and an everything scooper veggie melt for lunch -- both were delish! I feel like $7ish bucks for a bagel sandwich is kinda pricey, but I know I'll be back b/c it tastes so good.

Step right up you egg cream junkies this place has free refills on all drinks; from coke products to coffee to my wife's favorite - the venerable egg cream (soda water, milk, Fox's U-Bet chocolate syrup). The bagels are the real deal, some of the best here in Atlanta or anywhere else for that matter. I am very picky when it comes to bagels - these are the real deal. Corned beef reuben, tuna, veggie, pizza, whitefish salad, lox, turkey - you can have it all on a bagel as well as breakfast items. I had a corned beef reuben on an everything bagel. The lean corned beef was moist and flavorful. The generous portion of corned beef comes with sauerkraut, swiss cheese and thousand island. The setup is fast casual so we were in and out very quickly. No pastrami, no french fries, but plenty of chocolate. This place is located in the Akers Mill Shopping Center. The parking out front is crowded, you can park behind the restaurant and enter through the back door to avoid the crowd

Enjoyed the experience on the way to the airport for my return flight to Denver, Co. I was raised in a predominately Jewish area of NE Philly. So I enjoy quality baked goods to rekindle those early memories. I not only enjoyed the bagel breakfast sandwiches on site with a friend, but savored the to-go muffins which we shared as our lunch meal on a three hour flight returning to Colorado. Both bagel sandwiches and muffins were excellent quality and plentiful portions. The coffee and flavoring mixes were nicely displayed, easily accessible and excellent flavor. The facility was nicely appointed and welcoming and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. It would be nice to see a store open at the Southlands Mall in Aurora, Co.

I love the bagels at this sparkling clean place. The inside reminds me of a New York deli and they have a very good selection. One strong word of warning,DO NOT EVER GO THERE ANYTIME EVEN CLOSE TO 4PM which is closing time. I went there today with a friend at 3:35 and was scolded and told that closing time was in 25 minutes. We were served lunch without being stoned by the staff but somebody should have a word with the staff about customer relations. I'll go back ,maybe, but Goldberg's gets my overall first place vote.
