This place serves some great food. My favorite has always been the Chicken Pot Pie!

My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for the past 4 years for lunch and dinner. Over the last year and a half, we've seen this restaurant slowly decline. My experience on September 2, 2015 was horrific. Absolutely, the WORST dining experience I've had in my life. We waited over an hour to receive our food. I ordered a hamburger and glass of wine which seemed pretty simple. The bun was stale, meat cold, and the fries were undercooked and soggy. My wine came to the table 10 minutes after we were seated. My mother ordered chicken crepes which are no longer the Chicken Madeira crepes. They came out without ANY sauce. The Manager came to our table to explain that they were out of sauce but asked my mother if she still wanted to eat it. The crepes were dry and tasteless. My mother also ordered a french onion soup as an appetizer and the cheese was completely burnt. It was black! It took over 10 minutes after waiting nearly two hours in the restaurant to get our check finally. I could hear the Manager on duty yelling at kitchen staff which was utterly unprofessional. He also blamed the entire mess on his colleagues that managed the morning shift, making excuses for his lack of management skills. The Manager offered a to-go order for my mother and it never came until I had to ask 3 times for the to-go order. Our family will likely never return to Mimis Cafe after this horrendous experience. Upper management should absolutely investigate this situation and bring back original menu items. Your losing your former customers by plating terrible food.
It took about an hour for our food. Then I ordered the chicken cordon blue sandwich on croissant and it came out on the soft baguette. Not good. Oh and the bacon balsamic was totally weird and not good. The server was nice.

This place was really nice for my first time. The salmon was a little in the dry side but I made due. I will come back to visit thought and trying something different on the menu...

Mimi's could easily get 4 stars but the waitress we got was pretty horrible...funny that my experience seems to be very typical upon reading the other reviews here. Good Stuff: The Food --- Everything was yummy, I mean everything. I think they change their menu items pretty often (which I like), but they always serve good food and give you plenty to eat Bad Stuff: The Service --- The service stunk, period. The waitress was probably one of the worst I've ever had at any place, ever. Sometimes bad service can be attributed to a very busy restaurant that is understaffed, I get those types of issues and those can usually be identified on the spot. Mimi's was not busy and this waitress was not too busy, she was just really bad. It took them probably 10 minutes to come over to get our initial drink order. Subsequent visits to refresh those drinks were approaching the 25-30 minute range. I was trying to drink beer but only ended up having one because it was impossible to get another brought to me before the end of the meal...this is really bad. The markup on beer/liquor is huge and they lost out on potential sales b/c service sucks. The waitress also had no idea what was on the menu. Someone in my party would ask about a vegetable or a substitution then the waitress would disappear for 15 minutes and then come back with a half-assed answer. We learned very quickly not to give her any tasks that required her to leave the table for fear of not getting to order at all. Again, the food was great and came out within a reasonable amount of time. But, if you needed extra butter or a freakin' refill on your water you had to wait 20 minutes. Mimi's needs to either fire the whole front-house staff or get a new manager in there to kick some ass. I won't be back.

I went to breakfast at Mimi's. There was no wait and the food was delicious. Our server (Daniel) was attentive and friendly. We were in a rush, and he was very accommodating and communicative. I ordered the Santa Fe Omelette - 3 eggs, cilantro, jalapeno, tomato, onion, and tortilla strips with guacamole and spicy tomato sauce. The omelette was filling, flavorful, and delicious. The guacamole complimented the spicy tomato sauce well. I would have given 5 stars, but the potatoes were not flavorful or crispy and they didn't look like they did in the picture (I hate that!) The decor was very comfortable and makes you feel like you are at home. Overall, delicious food for a good price. Nice for weekday mornings when there is no wait. I'd come to this place again to try lunch or dinner.

This was our first time visiting any Mimi's location, and it was a big letdown. Reasons why: 1. The table and menus were dirty, sticky, and gross, and there were flies flying around the restaurant. 2. It was more than 10 minutes before anyone greeted us at our table after we were seated and another 8-10 minutes before we got our beverage order (there were only two of us). 3. A manager and our server had an altercation right in the dining room for all the guests to see. As a result, our server was flustered and distracted, making her especially unattentive. She was really nice and friendly, but the manager upsetting her really seemed to throw her off. Very unprofessional on the part of the manager lady. 4. What's worse...our server had far too many tables (the restaurant's fault for lack of scheduled servers) and was unable to give us much attention at all...empty drink glasses, long waits between visits when we needed things...so we spent way more time than we wanted to or had to spare that day. 5. The food took forever. We must have been waiting 45 minutes on our order. When it came out, it was just mediocre...not terrible but definitely not great. It tasted like bad chain food. Our server thanked us for our patience, which was nice...especially considering that it was pretty clear this was mostly lack of organization and efficient scheduling on the part of the restaurant. Overall, this was a terrible first impression. We definitely won't go back to this restaurant.

Love Mimi's! My favorite. Everything we have had here is excellent - every time! Pot roast, turkey, mashed potatoes, broccoli, fish & chips, the bread...I love it all!! Husband got the Coq Au Vin (chicken) & loved every bite! The chocolate cake was excellent and all so reasonably priced! Sign up on their site and take home 4 free HUGE fresh & yummy muffins! And get buy one get one free dinner and breakfast! LOVE. LOVE. LOVE.

Went here with few friends because we wanted French food. Disappointed of the food selections. Menu is full of American typical food. Ordered Seafood Kabob and it was dry. The Mimosa drinks were good. Service was very friendly and eager to serve. Place was not busy at all so not much wait.

Mimi's Cafe has a wide variety of menu items and a wonderful wait staff. The place gets really crowded during Sunday Brunch. I like the restaurant but I don't find anything special about it. It is a great place that pleases a large crowd because of the wide variety of choices. This was my first time at this location, I usually visit the one in Buford, GA. Anywhoo. I ordered the fried chicken salad. It was good, no complains but there was nothing extra special about it. The honey bran muffin that accompanied the salad was awesome. Go for the muffins!

If you want all day breakfast then Mimi's is not the place. We found out the hard way. Surprisingly the food was pretty good, the server was on her game and we had a good time.

Quiche Lorraine was good. Service was attentive and quick. Restaurant was clean. Sampled the eggs Benedict and it was good too. IM not really a fan of it but the folks that ordered it went nuts over it.

It's fine. Nothing glaringly terrible or awful about this place. It's a bland chain restaurant with an underwhelming menu. I came in on a Friday afternoon to celebrate a co-worker's birthday over lunch. As a non-regular in the Perimeter/Dunwoody area, I had no idea that Mimi's was tucked back behind the bustling Perimeter Place shopping center. Despite the congestion in the area, they have a large lot behind the restaurant with an ample amount of parking. We had a group of 8 or 9, and we were seated at a long table in the back dining room of the restaurant. We made our way through the over-the-top French themed dining rooms, and squeezed our way into our sits at the table that was smushed up against a big pillar divider that splits the two dining rooms. The space is dominated by a mustard and burgundy color palette, with lots of wine bottles and stereotypical "French" artwork along the walls. All of the tables were tightly packed in to the point where our server was practically leaning on the chair of the woman at a neighboring table when he was taking orders at our table. The service left something to be desired...and water glasses to be filled. Given the hustle and bustle of the lunch rush, the staff had some trouble keeping up with the water refills. Our server was polite, but did not seem very knowledgeable about the menu. When one of my co-workers inquired about the "orange sauce" on one of the chicken dishes, he did not have much of an answer for her. He described it as a chicken sauce. But not citrussy. Hmmmm. I ordered the Asian chopped salad. An odd choice for a "French" restaurant, but I wasn't in the mood for their heartier offerings (crepes, quiche, pasta). It was surprisingly pretty good. Not amazing, but given the fact that it was a chain French restaurant I was just satisfied that it did not taste completely bland and rubbery. Obviously my expectations were not all that high here. It came with a mini little baguette, so I got my French fix in the end. It's safe to say that everyone in our party felt reasonably satisfied with the meal and the experience at Mimi's, but none of us were raving enthusiasts. It's a run of the mill chain restaurant with a pretty broad selection of decent belly filling dishes. Convenient location, cheesy atmosphere, average meal, less then impressive service. There are so many other great dining options in the area, so I've have to say that this one wouldn't crack my top 5.

Too many haters not giving this restaurant its due. I 've been here about 3-4 times and always enjoyed the experience. The service is very good. I appreciate how the manager stops by each time to check up on us. The food is very flavorful. Never had a bad entree, soup or salad. Very affordable. The ambience is isn't bad either, especially given the location in a strip mall, surrounded by very average to low end restaurants. I'll be back for sure!

I will definitely not recommend this place after our recent experience. The service was absolutely horrible. Went on a mid Sunday morning and the place was not very busy. After being seated right away we waited for nearly 20 mins before getting up and walking out. We saw at least 5 waitresses walking around and not one stopped to ask if we had been helped. I will be sure to let everyone know not to waste there time going to Mimi's. There are serval other great restaurants in the area so I would highly advise passing on this place. I have been there before and food is nothing special.

Meh-mi's Cafe has a lot of promise, but just doesn't do it for me. The theme is a mix of French and New Orleans, but it feels like a Denny's that has been dressed up in a "trying to hard" Mardi Gras look. Faux balconies try to make it look festive, but come across a little cheesy. The food is decent, not out of this world. Breakfast and brunch options are best, but priced too high for what you get. I will concede that the muffins are great, the coffee is decent, and I like the random Capiello prints throughout. Having been here a half dozen times I can say that service is never fantastic. The employees like the decor, seem to be a little fake. The waiters and waitresses, however, show a lot more enthusiasm than the managers, who seem to grouse when we show up with a large group. c'est la vie

Yesterday we went to Mimi's (2 adults and 2 children). Honestly, the server was great and was very attentive and gracious with our needs. I ordered an apple juice, which came in a fun glass, and a egg dish that was very savory. I only give 3 stars due to the inconsistent food and service in the past few visits. My friend loves to come here because of the meet up convenience to the highway and the large group/family friendly atmosphere. It compares to TGIFriday. Not amazing and not horrible. If I have a good experience here next time then I might bump it up to 4 stars. Parking is difficult so I suggest going straight to the parking garage to avoid wasting time circling the parking lot.

Started out with a twenty minute wait although at least 10 tables were visibly open. They said it would take at least twenty minutes to set up the table, and it did. It took even more than an hour for the food to come out. Even then, it did not live up to my expectations as my waffle wasn't crunchy. Wouldn't wait around for this again.

The worst dining experience of my life. We waited forever for the waiter once we got seated. The food was cold when we got it. And one person in our party didn't get anything she ordered. It was all wrong down to the toast. No toilet paper in the bathroom. Checks were rung wrong and the waiter seemed put out when we asked for it to be corrected. Hostesses were rude I asked to talk to a manager and the manager seemed to not care at all. Didn't even apologize. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE.

Food was great but the bread was not hot and the muffins is not so good.. Serving is fantastic.. One thing we experienced is they didn't have bill first saying they are having computer issues and then they just have us the credit card receipt after we paid. Dont know why she did that.. Anyhow the food is good and no offense..

As far as food goes, it was wonderful! The muffins were warm and delicious... And the salad I got was really good too. Everyone in our party seemed to enjoy their food - except for the fact that a lot of our order was wrong/missing/etc. It would have been a lot more helpful, and more enjoyable of an experience, had our server just written our order down instead of asking us what we wanted and then trying to repeat it back (and forgetting). I've waited tables before. Writing down the order gives your tables faith in that they're going to get what they ordered. Not your version of what you can remember...

When searching for a place with french onion soup on Yelp I found Mimi's. I've seen it 100 times but never went so I was so excited to give it a try. The decor and french bakery feel is just adorable. The host was friendly and welcoming. He asked if we were dining for breakfast or lunch. It was lunch time, so UI assume they serve breakfast all day? We opt for lunch. Our server was very friendly, however, she tried to up-sell us right off the bat offering $5 wine and other specialty drinks along with appetizers. After that the service was pretty slow, but still pleasant. My hald salad was served on the same plate next to my soup causing it to get a little warm. The flavor of the soup was not the best french onion I've ever had, by any means. It also came with a side item, for $7.99, so a decent amount of food for the price. This location is right by Perimeter Mall. The area is swarming with people during lunch hour, and I noticed that Mimi's wasn't busy at all. All-and-all a little disappointed. Was hoping to finding a great lunch spot!

Went to Mimi's yesterday for lunch, it was a treat to see a place that service breakfast during that hour because i love to eat breakfast anytime. To be frank the server was a bit slow at first but apologized for his slow start and the experience was pretty good. I will return again.

Good lunch spot. It's smack dab in the middle of a shopping complex and there are a lot of businesses near by so It does get a little crowded. My overall experience was good though. The food is filling but not over filling. The only con is the service is a bit a slow, but it's usually busy whenever I come so it's understandable.

A must-visit restaurant. The staff is great. The interiors looks like an extract from the French quarters in New Orleans. We were there for breakfast on a Saturday morning and loved the crepes. The manager was nice to take our order on the house due to a delay.

Disclaimer - I've only ever been here for our monthly SWE meetings, where we eat in the back, view a presentation, and choose from a limited menu. That said, I've had the opportunity to try several dishes. I enjoy the bread basket, as it's a good combination of yeast rolls, carrot bread, and more, and it comes with whipped butter. I usually get the side salad, and it's always had decently fresh ingredients. As for the entrees - they're not that healthy. Everything seems to have some kind of cream sauce or some component to make it just a little bit heavier than I'd prefer. That being said, they're relatively well-executed for homestyle food. It's a good place for groups. The menu is average enough to have something for everyone, as long as you don't have any snobbishly picky eaters. The staff has handled us well every time. They prepare us with easy menu options. They know to bring out the food at the right times so as not to interrupt the speaker. They get the orders right.

Mimi's is nothing fancy, but it's reasonably priced, good comfort food in a convenient location for folks in the Dunwoody/Perimeter Mall area. We've brought several large parties here, once without even calling ahead, and they've always been able to quickly accommodate us. Service is excellent and it's very family-friendly.

Horribly slow service with incompetent wait staff. We had to ask the hostess repeatedly about the status of our table after waiting longer than promised. We also had to hunt down a server to take our order. Overall, the food isn't that great and the wait makes it not worthwhile.

The food was good.. however, I hate to punish an establishment for their poor waiters. But our waiter was absolutely terrible. I managed to drink both my coffee and water without him stopping to see if we were ok or needed anything. Then when he actually came to refill, he had a smidgen of coffee in the pot and had to come back to fill my cup. We ran out of creamer and sugar and he never offered to refill. He brought us food we didn't order or ask for, and he never did a courtesy check. We always had to stop him. I will add the waiters on other tables seemed to be on their job.

I had a lovely lunch here. I opted for their lunch menu and chose a half grilled cheese sandwich with a cup of their tomato bisque. Their bisque was PERFECT. Creamy, not too tomato-y, and warmed my heart. The grilled cheese sandwich was buttery, cheesy, and so comforting. Our meal came with a bread basket which was a lovely touch. I also had a few sliced honeydew melons that came with my sandwich. What a perfect garnish! I really can't wait to be back :)

You would think this place would be good, but it's not. Just a notch above Denny's iyam. I knew right away this was going to be trouble when the server took our orders. We were a party of eight, and she took the orders without writing anything down. Of course there were mixups, and the wrong food was brought out to my dad (he was paying, so big mistake on their part to get it wrong for dad). I had one one of the breakfast meals. Nothing special at all. I will not return.

I found this place while on the way to tacomac and was attracted by it the sign at the front and preferred to eat here for thanksgiving dinner instead of tacomac. So i went in and got a table real quick. Got the turkey dinner thanksgiving special for $16 something and it was okay! (Photos to be posted in a bit). I applaud the staff for comin' in to work during the holidays.

The staff here works hard. They're prompt and personable. They make good suggestions. And they're attentive. Let's a have a big round of applause for the staff! It's too bad the menu leaves a bit to be desired. The food is good. It will fill you up. But it seems somehow uninspired. Average. I'm not sure I can describe why. Perhaps the menu has too much diversity on it. Perhaps the kitchen is overworked. I don't know. I can only guess. I'll go back because it's a convenient place to meet folks. And I do want to try a few more things in hopes I can update this review with something that knocks my socks right off.
We go to Mimi's periodically - it's a very reliable and convenient place for us. We were there Friday night and I enjoyed the French quarter burger, my wife enjoyed the Mediterranean salad with roast chicken. Honestly, it was one of the best burgers I've had in quite a while - mainly because it wasn't massive. Less than a half pound, but dead on medium like I like it. Thin grilled French bread, avocado, Swiss, and bacon. Really really good. My wife's dinner salad was also excellent - generous and fresh. I swapped a side salad for the fries, was the same mixed greens as my wife's salad - good and fresh. The $5 wine happy hour is very attractive - can't find a better deal. Service was very kind and gracious - but a bit draggy. The server had a lot of tables it seemed. Too bad, that was the only negative.

I often meet my mom at Mimi's Cafe for lunch. She loves it. I find it to be a run-of-the-mill restaurant. Decent food. Nothing special. I typically get their chopped Cobb salad. Many entrees, including salads, are served with an over-sized muffin in the flavor of your choice. The low-fat blueberry is pretty good. My mom has a slight obsession with their tomato basil soup. It is darn good soup. This is a nice option for munch if you find yourself in the Perimeter Mall area.

This place definitely knows how to make delicious fish. I had the lemon butter sole and it was excellent! We also had the brie and apple appetizer which was good. The service was sub-par, and it seemed as though they couldn't wait for us to leave. Other than that, the experience was ok, and I might go back when I'm in the mood for a yummy buttery fish!

My wife and I stopped here for the first time for lunch this past week, and overall had a good experience. The service was fast and friendly despite the place being quite crowder, the prices were reasonable, food just right, and atmosphere inviting. I've had lots of french dip sandwiches, but this one had to be the meatiest I've ever been served. Layer upon layer of thick-sliced roast beef, with some melted mozzarella. It wasn't the tastiest I've ever had, but certainly was the biggest! My wife had a salad with chicken chunks in it. She said it was good, and it was served with a very good apple streusel muffin. The menu includes French cuisine (e.g. crepes) but if you're expecting French-creole or cajun, you'll be disappointed. Oh - and if you're counting calories, you'll be please - every menu item, including any extras you might want to add, includes its calorie count. Parking, as typical at this location, is always a challenge at lunchtime. It was a nice experience, but nothing special. I'd probably eat here again but probably wouldn't make it a destination.

A bit too expensive for what they are. Brunch is better than lunch (and dinner!) and about the only thing I've ever enjoyed here, and I say enjoyed lightly. HUGE muffins. Service is hit or miss, but more often miss. I've had really good waiters and waiters who I swore went out back to kill my meat themselves. Now, if I could remember anything I've eaten here in particular I'd share it with you and give you all the yummy (or gory?) details... but, well, what does it say if I can't even remember? ::yawn::

Slow service, mediocre food. Wait staff seems to be unconcerned with the customer's. I have been 3 times and all 3 times my glass was allowed to go empty and I had to ask for a refill. Food is bland and blah... I've had better food at better prices other places. I really do not see how this place stays in business, they are always dead when I go there.

I went there for lunch. Probably not the best time to be at the restaurant. The decor was classy and the waiter was friendly. The seating was a little cramped and I am not exactly tall. The service was prompt and the pricing very decent. I ordered off the fixed price menu, which is good for a normal day. Nothing to rave about but I would go there again.

In the hustle and bustle of holiday shopping, baby and I found ourselves famished around 3. Since Cheesecake Factory no longer offers beef ribs, I'm not much of a fan anymore. We didn't want Hudson's or any of the food court fare at Perimeter, so we headed to Mimi's on a whim. Today was the 2nd time ever visiting Mimi's- last time had to be in 2008, at least, and it was a wonderful experience. Once seated, we were greeted by a lively, engaging server affectionately called Ms. Toni. She took our drink orders and didn't hover while we took our time pondering the menu. We decided on the chicken tenders for an appetizer. They were not overly salted, fried too hard or too soft, but had just the right consistency and taste-perfect for dipping into the honey mustard and buffalo ranch sauce that accompanied the dish. Of course, the usual baguettes and a pleasant tasting pumpkin spice bread arrived in short order. For the main course, after going back and forth from burgers to chicken pot pie, back to burgers, then to the roasted turkey dinner, we both settled on cheeseburgers. To be perfectly honest, I've had much better burgers- the meat was somewhat "gamey"-tasting. After 2 bites, Baby asked for an exchange, which was accommodated with no problem. I'd already eaten half of my burger when I noticed the off-taste, and didn't want to look crazy, so I didn't bother to send mine back. Miss Toni cheerfully swapped out the burger for the grilled chicken sandwich, which we asked that she prepare to go. The delightful manager, who spoke fluent French (natch!) not only apologized for the off-taste on the burger, but when he learned that we were on Mimi's email list, compelled me to find the coupon that was emailed to me this week and take advantage of the offer. Buy one lunch, get the other free. This is somewhat of a rarity, because I've never seen managers so gung-ho on their customers getting free stuff. We ended up ordering the mini-desserts (the apple crumb and the hot fudge brownie) which were both scrumptious. I charged my half-eaten burger to the game, as the brownie more than made up for it. In short, we definitely will return, and hope we encounter Ms. Toni and her pleasant attitude again. Lesson learned: Next time, I'll follow my gut and go for the chicken pot pie that the lady behind me raved about!

Love this place! I went here with my mother and daughter while we were visiting Atlanta. I had the french toast w orange marmalade and it was wonderful! Parking is weird if you have an suv you have to either go around the back or side of the building but outside of that everything is terrific!

OMG!! This place was terrible. We are relatively new to the area, but this has been the only restaurant we have been to that is bad. It tasted like they took a frozen meal and warmed it up. The only thing decent that we had was the calamari appetizer and it still tasted like they warmed it in the microwave. The French Onion soup was too salty. I could go on and on. Do NOT waste your $

I really enjoyed my brunch outing to Mimi's. I loved the decor and the feel of this place. I had an omelet and it was delicious. It came with potato wedges, a glass of apple juice, and a muffin for $9.75. Our server was prompt and friendly. I have no complaints at all. This place is very popular with the senior citizens. As always, the eye hustle caught glimpses of some yummy looking sandwiches that I might could get with on subsequent visits. I'll go here again.

I found this place on Google maps after searching for a breakfast place near the Perimeter Mall. I sat in the back right room, which was decorated New Orleans style; I really liked the bright, funky glass-and-wire lights at the booths. Took a while before anyone greeted me, but then a great waitress decided to take my table. She quickly made it right when they brought me pork sausage instead of turkey sausage, which I appreciated. My cappucino was not made correctly with 1/3 foam, 1/3 steamed milk, 1/3 espresso. Instead it was more like a cafe-au-lait with a scoop of foam on top. I ordered the eggs and meat with mixed berry crepes, which had a good flavor, but too much cream cheese filling. The eggs were scrambled very hard. Overall, this was good service, average food, good variety of menu selections, good atmosphere. As one other reviewer said: I'd come back to eat here if I was in the area, but it wouldn't be what brought me here.

This was a pretty disappointing lunch experience. 6 coworkers and I chose Mimi's for a celebratory lunch for a colleague's promotion. Most of us, including myself, had dined there at some point before with somewhat decent, but not necessarily top notch, experiences. So we figured we'd try it again. We sat outside which had a nice ambience, it was a pretty day. Then it started. We all ordered wine, which took about 15 minutes before the glasses made it to our table. Water refills were scarce, and we only gone one if we flagged down the waitress. Then we ordered off the very simple mix-and-match lunch menu. After waiting for literally 45+ minutes, food finally came. I ordered a salad and half six cheese grilled cheese combo, which I was so excited about. Well, between two puny pieces of un-buttered toast was one piece of cheese that had clearly been sitting so long that the once-melted cheese had cooled and hardened. Not close to six cheeses, or even three for that matter! The salad was decent, not memorable one way or another. The waitress forgot to bring one person's plate out; we had to ask her where it was because she didn't notice one girl was sitting without food. Then two friends who ordered BLTs had turkey instead of bacon on their sandwiches. Finally, one girl ordered a dessert to-go and never received it. She was afraid to even ask at that point, since we had already spent over 1.5 hours there. The waitress could sense that we were growing agitated, and at that point made an awkward comment: "Well obviously you're very unhappy with my service. I try to smile and live my life positively" and proceeded to ramble even as we tried to reassure her that we in no way were blaming her for the kitchen being slow/not making the correct food. It made all of us feel very awkward and gave an uneasy end to our nearly two-hour ordeal. I would be more forgiving of the wait had our service by the waitress been impeccable and the food delicious; however, there really was no saving grace in the entire equation. Needless to say, I don't think any of us will be returning.

This place is consistently awful. I used to meet my father here for lunch often when we both were working in the area. We had to stop going because they couldn't get us in and out in under an hour. Usually because the waitstaff would completely disappear for extended amounts of time. Last weekend, my husband and I decided to try it again for breakfast, thinking that maybe it had improved in the last year. Nope! Still sh*%@y! The place was not very busy for 10:00 on a Sunday morning. The host acted like he was extremely put out by having to seat customers so another wait person came over to seat us. Then our waitress also acted like we were really inconveniencing her by sitting down. She didn't bring refills without being flagged down and then it took a really long time. The food was awful. I had crepes that looked and tasted like rubber. They came served with a topping of gloppy, neon yellow alleged-hollandaise sauce that I scraped off for fear of salmonella. As other reviewers said, the food is a little over priced for mediocre but it is grossly over priced for abyssmal. I learned my lesson and will definitely not be going back.

This place gets 4 stars from the huge muffins, the bread baskets, and the tomato soup! The food is eh, like I've had a blue cheese and fruit salad which is so so. I've had the fish and chips which is so so. Ive had the chicken crepes, which are good. The appetizers are better than the real food.

We went for lunch after church. I had a few recommendations from friends and a co-worker plus a buy one get one Coupon! The decor is ummm kinda like my Granny comforting lol. We ordered Chicken Madiera Crepes... Ummm good! It came with Fresh mixed greens. Very fresh and good. The French Onion was good but not as good as TGIFs. My child ordered Butternut Squash Ravoli and it was GREAT! I tasted it and wish I would've have ordered that. Rich flavor and piping hot. My waitress was on point with no hassle on my coupon, consistency in my refils, accuracy in my order and overall good service! I will be back

Had a late lunch on a Monday and the place only had a few customers so I was hesitate. Had the special per the managers suggestion (fish and chips). I am not a big fish eater but was very pleased with the selection. The dish was prepared to order and really good. Prices are a little high but they all are in the Perimeter Mall area.

I really enjoy eating at Mimi's Cafe; however, every time I dine in or do take out my order is messed up. I ordered the pancake breakfast (pumpkin pancakes are great) and a side order of ham. I get home and my eggs are soggy and no ham. This trend is becoming really disappointing. I will give them another try; I love the gumbo on Saturdays.

As a transplanted Southern Californian, I was delighted to find that there was, in fact, a Mimi's within reach of my new home. I love me some Mimi's. Is everything on the menu great? No, but there are some real comfort standouts, like the turkey breast dinner (so you can have thanksgiving all year round, if you like) and the surprisingly not-that-unhealthy french dip. They also have some really good seasonal items. And then there are the muffins; the buttermilk spice muffin is really unparalleled in muffiny deliciousness, which the honey-oat-bran muffin is yummy but still healthy. The pancakes are really great, and I love love love the french toast (particularly the brioche french toast, which luckily was made a permanent menu item). There is no meal for which I wouldn't be perfectly happy to go to Mimi's.

I had never heard of this place until my friend Andrea invited us to Mimi's for bruch a couple of weeks ago. I was impressed by the food I had blueberry stuffed french toast. It was awesome the blueberry bread or cakes, or whatever they were, were fresh light and delicious. The berry topping was great too and none of it was too rich. I had a side of bacon as well and it was up to par. Also had a small glass of orange juice, it was standard pulp included orange juice. I didn't have any muffins but they looked good and they were huge. I'm going to check this place out again. If you're going for bruch try to make reservations if you can because the place gets packed.

This place is absolutely repugnant. I work in Dunwoody and figured I would stop by for lunch. I don't know what I had done on that particular day as to evoke such bad karmic vibes that I should be punished by such "food." It's hard to mess up a simple pasta dish but Mimi's succeeded admirably in brutalizing it. It was so horrific that I figured I would just order some more rolls and fill up on them instead of eating the soppy, greasy mess in front of me. The rolls that I received looked quite delicious. One thing though, it was still frozen on the inside. Seriously, a frozen roll!? I've had better food in both hospitals and the Atlanta City jail drunk tank. Avoid this place like the plague.

I was very disappointed in this Mimi's because usually I love Mimi's. The hostess was not friendly, the first thing she asked was "how many?" while looking down at her notepad, there was no smile, no"hello". Our booth had lots of food on the seat because it was not cleaned out after the last customer. Our waiter was not attentive, he forgot to bring water that we asked for and then one of our dishes came out with the wrong bread so we had to wait about 10 minutes for them to correct it. Also, everything took a long time and this was during our lunch hour so we couldn't finish or we would be late getting back to work. The food was pretty good but the service could have been better. I will not go back.

Bleh. I think that pretty much sums up my review. This place really has nothing special. The price is from $9 for a sandwich, mid teens for any hot plates. It's another small version of Cheesecake factory. I've had a chicken pesto sandwich and a hamburger in my past visits, and it was really nothing special. The portion was too big and food was just mediocre... I guess that's another reason why it just reminds me of cheesecake factory. The service was soso. The waiter decides to spill water all over my table while he refills my cup. What does he do? walks away.... wait, did he forget to wipe it down? does he expect me to clean it up myself? or just put a plate on top of it, hoping that it's not going to drip off the table? ehh..... The hostess weren't even nice at the door. They were unprofessional and unfriendly. Talk about crappy experience. For the money, there are PLENTY of other places in Atlanta.

My inner dislike-of-chain-restaurants self wants to give Mimi's a lower rating, but who am I to deny good food? Yes, it's a chain, and yes, the decor isn't anything to rave about, but when I was hungry, Mimi's satisfied. I had the Turkey Pesto sandwich, and it came out fresh and loaded ... enough to take home for leftovers. And I love leftovers. The bf had the porkchops dinner, which, to our surprise came out tender, juicy, flavorful, and thick. What else did I like? The free bread. It's not that common these days to have bread served at restaurants prior to the meal, but Mimi's provided a yummy assortment of breads, some sweet and some hearty. Yay or nay? Yay. If you can sometimes mind an awfully strange waiter, which we had, but I think that's a risk you take by eating out period.

The only time I eat at this location is during the work week when I meet my fiance for lunch. The service could be better at times but the food has always been good. The lunch menu can be a little pricey for what you get; but otherwise it's good enough. Sometimes you can get in and out in a reasonable amount of time for lunch and other times not so much. There are certainly other as good or better places to eat for lunch. Then again, I usually go to Mimi's (Mall of GA) for breakfast. I find them a much better choice for breakfasts than any other meals they offer.

It's not that it's horrible, but it's basically a nicer version of IHOP. There are plenty of great brunch spots in Atlanta, why go here and wait forever for a table? I don't get it. I don't know, I have friends who swear by this place but I'd rather go somewhere else for my brunch - especially with the wait (we had reservations - yeah they take them!) They do have pretty good muffins, I will give them that.

If you want a rockin breakfast this place is perfect. Great menu, prepared with some thought, better than the Barrel, but not so much that you can't come in here for a hangover killer. Priced very reasonable. OK ...it's is addictive. Don't even hesitate. Tall OJ is special. By the looks of the other reviews, you might want to avoid this place for anything other than breakfast.

I only went here a couple times, but both times were awesome service-wise and food-wise. The waiters are friendly and welcoming, always willing to help you out with anything you need, and the food is great! For the price you pay, you're really getting a great deal. Yes, it's not healthy food, but in my experience, it's hard to eat healthy when you're eating out. Enjoy the food and don't think too much.

I'm really surprised that the reviews are this bad! Mimi's is one of my I-know-it's-a-chain-but-I-still-love-it places. If you have read my other reviews, then you know I am not really a chain restaurant person, but there are select few that I like or love beyond all reason. Mimi's is on the low end of this list, but it's there. I'm giving the place a "4" but a "3.5" might be more accurate. It's just that all the bad reviews make me perversely like it a little more. Please note that I have never visited Mimi's for anything but breakfast. I have no idea what their lunch menu is like, and I probably never will because their omelettes and muffins are just that good. I highly recommend the Tuscan Vegetable Omelette and the Crab and Avocado Omelette. Our service here has always been at least reasonably good, and it's a good place to go with a large group or especially a family. I wouldn't necessarily go way out of my way to come here, but if you are in the area, it's not a bad place to try... at least for breakfast.

Decided to write a happy review since I've been quite the downer lately. And what better place than Mimi's. I love this place. It's the one place I wished had more locations preferably one in the city. But I like it so much that I drive all the way to Perimeter for the breakfast. They have breakfast items, huge waffles or pancakes for a pretty reasonable price. The muffins are my mum's personal favorite, she always asks for a set of 4 to go. They are delicious. I've also tried dessert here and it is just as huge and tasty. I don't have any complaints about this place. The only one time was on a Sunday morning, my service was not so great, I guess the waitress was just flustered with tables, but asides from that lone incident, this is the place for breakfast, y'all.

The lunch menu is quite diverse. It's the sort of menu that makes you think they have too many dishes to do any of them really well, which is true. The bread/muffins they bring out range from weird to tasteless. I really didn't think it was possible to make a blueberry muffin that I don't like, but they managed. However, things turn around nicely when you start to explore the breakfast menu. I recommend the french toast breakfast: 4 pieces of french toast (well, I guess technically it's only 2 since they cut them in half), eggs, and bacon. While certainly not a once-a-week staple, this makes for a nice, occasional break from the usual lunch routine. But only if you stick to the breakfast.

Ok, I am going to give a mixed review on Mimi's and will explain why. I grew up in Southern California, where there are a lot of Mimi's (as a matter of fact, my first job was at a Mimi's in south Orange County). Mimi's are the go to place for brunch, lunch with the ladies, baby showers, dinner out with the family. In a nutshell: inexpensive, inviting atmosphere, friendly staff and good, comfort food. I was thrilled when I moved to Atlanta and found, much to my delight, that there was a Mimi's within walking distance to my new home! We went almost immediately to see if it was the same Mimi's we grew up loving. Well, it is and it isn't. First off, the menu is HUGE and kinda schizophrenic. They have too much going on, much of which doesn't really make sense. I've read other reviews in which people said "they couldn't figure out what to order because there was simply too much!" and I can understand how your first time to this place it would be hard to decide. Since I am familiar with what I LOVE at Mimi's, I don't even look at this new menu. We order basically the same thing EVERY TIME we go, and it never gets old because it's just that good! We order the spinach/artichoke dip (which is out of this world great) and no matter if it's lunch or dinner, I get the "FRENCH QUARTER" which is a burger like sandwich but is amazing! The French Quarter is a burger patty, swiss cheese, avocado, onions, thousand island dressing, lettuce, pickle, on grilled cheesy sourdough flatbread. The kicker, though, is that I order a boca (veggie) patty instead of the beef. This is the best sandwich I've ever had. I crave it and eat it all the time. The French Quarter is a Mimi's staple and has been on the menu for twenty plus years. I recommend when going to this place, order what is tried and true. Don't order the Salmon, because, let's face it, Mimi's is a glorified coffee shop and, everyone knows if you want "fresh" fish, you go somewhere known for seafood! Mimi's has a reputation for having a stellar breakfast menu, which, for the most part is available all day, with the exception of waffles. Something about their pancakes are just addictive and taste just wonderful! They have an amazing breakfast menu that is not overwhelmingly large and yet offers something for everyone. My complaint, though, is that GEORGIA Mimi's have TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE service. The Dunwoody location has only 2 waiters who've given ok service. As a whole, they are LAZY, slow, unapologetic, way too damn social with the other waiters, and sloppy looking. I remember when I worked at Mimi's they had strict dress-code regulations. Well, my last waitress had neon blue, turquoise, and silver eyeshadow with matching streaks in her hair, matching jewelry and a giant fake flower in her hair. Her white shirt was stained with about 3 different colors of sauces you could tell they were like set in (old) stains and instead of wearing a new, cleaner shirt, she just thought THIS was acceptable (No, sweetie, it's NOT! I don't care to order from someone who looks like she's wearing the freaking menu!) She looked like a bad, sloppy acid trip. It was unprofessional and gave the customer a bad impression of "what mimi's was". The management at this location are absolutely clueless and have hired and employ a lazy, waste of a crew. While the service sucks, I stand by what I originally said about Mimi's. I will always love my favorite pieces on the menu and as long as they don't get rid of those, I will always go here.

What Happened to this Place? I was quite surprised at my most recent visit to Mimi's Cafe. I normally enjoy the food and the servers both. This time I was not so pleased with either and the people I went with said it had dropped a level both in food and service in their eyes too. We did have 3 people come up and take our drink order before we got our drinks, but the waiter we were finally assigned too acted as if we were we were really inconveniencing him by taking up his table. I think the waiter and I have 2 different versions of the meaning of Brunch: B= Breathe and eat - NOT Better be ready to order before your butt hits the booth R= Relax its Sunday brunch with the girls - NOT Do you know what you want yet??? U= Understand we are going to be here awhile when we show up with presents - NOT U still not ready to order 30 seconds later, and then 1 minute later, and then 1 more minute after that. N= Not sure what I want until I actually open the menu - NOT NEVER tell a table you are too BUSY for them and will come back later C= Can't rush girls who have no seen each other in awhile - NOT Can you tell me what you want so I can move on and get you out of my section and on to other customers already? H= Have a nice time catching up over brunch instead of a quick meal at IHOP or Waffle House so we can actually catch up - NOT HURRY UP and turn this table over so I can make more tips. Yes, you read that right the waiter actually said: "I don't have time for you; we are very busy today, so you'll just have to catch me and let me know when you are ready to order." I just about fell out of my chair. I am not normally one to complain or get upset and usually brush things off and say wow, he must be super busy today, but as a server, you NEVER tell a table you are too busy for them. Maybe it was because we were seated on the left side of the restaurant, I had never sat over there in previous visits where everything had been nice, the food and the service were good. Now, in defense of the restaurant the manager could tell something was not right when she stopped by to see how things were and my friends answered "uh, ok" and I said, "Well the food was ok (simple ham and cheese omelet was kinda dried out), but it has been better." She probed me more and I told her what he had said and didn't add the rest of the attitude he sent our way the whole time. And she said that is not acceptable and she was going to talk to him right now. Then I felt bed of course, with the economy and all, geez everyone has an off day and I didn't want any drastic measures taken here. Then he came flying up to the table to apologize and knew that when it came out of his mouth that he shouldn't have said it and didn't know how to make up for that one. I told him that I know everyone has an off day, I had been a waitress too and sometimes you have to take a break no matter how busy it is, if you can. If not, then before approaching a table, try to old count to 10 trick. It is not the customer's fault you are understaffed or whatever the problem may be, and I even ended up tipping him about 30%, just because I had been there once myself a long time ago. Even after that - he still gave me a snotty look on the way out the door - oh well. There are too many other great places to get brunch in this town and we will be headed there next time.

I just don't care for Mimi's. The menu is too big. Never know what to get. By the looks of other reviews, it should have always been breakfast. This past time, at this location, I had the Chicken Pot Pie. It was good...but nothing spectacular. It was essentially, pie crust and cream of chicken soup with vegetables. I guess I wasn't enthralled because I could have made it at home or just gotten the same from the grocery freezer. I will give Mimi's a try for breakfast, its only fair. However, I really feel like I am forcing the issue here.

Brunch is a 3 star experience, but their lunch and dinner are 2 star at best. ANd yes, the experience was better when this location was new. Service is very iffy. They have so many employees, but lack of efficiency in service. They forgot to serve us the orange juice on two visits and brought them belatedly when we were done eating. The burger I had one time was pretty awful and is singlehandedly the reason I have brought this down to 2 stars. The brunch is pretty decent and a step above waffle house and IHOP. Good sausage links. Decent omelettes. Very good interior ambience.

I work just down the street from this place. While I've never been during lunch hour, one night I decided to take some of my friends there. I had some Salmon entree that was simply horrific. The smell was nauseating. I of course didn't eat it but instead just had some fries and bread. Even though I had a bad experience, I can see the potential here and would definitely revisit this place again; I just wouldn't get fish here again.

I've only been here once, and it was on a Friday night. The Sam Adams beer-battered fish and chips is delicious (and a huge portion, so expect to take some home). Their drink menu offers lots of choices. I had a French lemon drop that was fabulous. Service was fine when I was there, but it wasn't a particularly busy time. Prices are similar to what you'll find at any restaurant in the area.

Like the other recent reviewers, I've experienced a decline in Mimi's quality over the last couple of years. I've been going there over 3 years now and in the beginning, I bragged about it to all my friends. Now I tell them not to expect much. The lunch/dinner used to be excellent, but now it's just mediocre. The price range is decent, at least, but paying for decent crap is still crap! Ok, the food isn't 'crap', but nothing to brag about. Brunch still seems to be pretty good for me, at least. The service is lacking, too. It has always been 'passable', but lately become unbearable. They really need to up the standard because they have an awesome location that another establishment would cherish. Come on, Mimi's - get your act together!

I think I've been here for dinner at least five times... Each time I go, I order, I take that first bite, then I remember the last time I dined in and the promise never to come again. *sigh. I don't know why, but the food here is straight tasteless comfort food which giveth no comfort :( I've tried different things on the menu and have always left dissatisfied. Maybe the ONLY reason to go would be for the bread basket. MAYBE.

This was my first time here. The food was not that impressive. I had the fitness omelet and had to add salt and pepper. It was bland. The wait staff was not that friendly, not a lot of smiles. My visit may be a fluke but I did notice quite a few elderly people here. Maybe that is why the food is bland. Oh well. You may have better luck than me.

Oh my god. I am seriously unhappy with this place. I went again at my friends request...and honestly, the food was better this time. The muffin was as good as I remembered... BUT ONE THING I CANNOT FORGIVE: I gave my waiter 15% tip, and he added 17 cents extra tip when he went back and updated the charge to my credit card. Now, I really don't care so much about 17 cents, but it is a matter of principle. I remembered not giving him the extra change because his service was not spectacular (borderline not good). I meant to give him exactly 15% and I know I wrote REALLY CLEARLY, I always do. So when I saw he had given himself the extra change, I was not pleased. So, please feel free to go, the muffins are good, but MAKE SURE THEY DON'T TRY 'accidentally' GIVE THEMSELVES EXTRA TIP.

Ahh, this restaurant has all the makings of being really good, but the staff will see to it that it won't be. The Mimi's Cafe at the Mall of GA is superb. The Dunwoody restaurant leaves much to be desired. The food is served in what I can only call a "grudging" way. The portions are not the same as the Mall of GA site, and all in all, who wants to be treated as though the employees would really wish you were elsewhere? Charlie Rusell

Based on a Cajun French bistro with a menu of a gastropub. I've been there 3 times and the food is okay but service each time has been lackluster to say the least. One would figure with all of the competition in the area they would try harder.

Salad and a muffin? Mimi's Cafe is the only restaurant I've ever been to that serves muffins with salad. Just when you thought you were going to eat a healthy meal, there's a muffin attached. Needless to say I passed on the mammoth muffin but really enjoyed my petite sized Blue Cheese and Walnut salad with Chicken. I'm so glad I got the petite as it was filling; if I had gotten the regular sized salad it could have fed me and my cousin. Beyond the salads, Mimi's serves breakfast, lunch and dinner including pastas, soups, pot roast, top sirloin, burgers, signature sandwiches, desserts, comfort classics, espresso, wines, beers and more. This All American Louisiana and Tuscany inspired restaurant has huge rectangular and round booths. You almost feel like your sitting in the French Quarter when you eat here with the walls themed around New Orleans all they way down to the hanging beads. Visit Mimi's in the new Perimeter Place shopping center near Super Target off I-285 and Ashford Dunwoody. It is the only one in Atlanta and the wait staff is very accommodating and the prices are reasonable. For details go to mimiscafe.com .

Typically, this location is clean and enjoyable. Unfortunately, this Saturday, this location was horrific. When we arrived, I noticed the Health Dept rating of 87. When a restaurant receives a rating that low, the store manager is usually in fear of losing his or her job, and will have employees detail-clean the entire store from top to bottom. This was not the case at this Dunwoody store. Overall the site was fairly dirty, with dirty baseboards, dingy seats, spots on the glass booth dividers, and smeared windows. The dishes were also slightly dirty. The restrooms were the worst -- the mens' restroom had one toilet clogged, the trash full, and urine soaked paper towels on the floor of the second stall. The womens' restroom was filled with the rancid stench of fermenting feces, coming from an overflowing toilet in one stall. The other toilet was again covered in urine-soaked paper towels, with old garbage overflowing the bin. I have seen cleaner truck stops restrooms. The service was mediocre, and the server was abrupt and seemed vaguely disinterested. The other servers seemed to be standing around texting. At a corporate level, Bob Evans Farms should be deeply ashamed and embarrassed by the Dunwoody, GA location. This site should be photographed and used as training for precisely how a Mimi's Cafe should NOT be. Furthermore, this location is in dire need of a full purge of all employees from a region manager-level all the way down to dishwasher: there is NO excuse for any of these employees to remain so, as each of them has the responsibility and the duty to put on some rubber gloves and clean the restrooms, or scrub some baseboards, yet none of them did. For now, we will refrain from returning to the Dunwoody location -- although my family and I have not yet exhibited symptoms of food-borne pathogens, I feel this is solely due to luck on our part, and not due to any preventative measures on theirs.

if i could give this no stars i would. i have had consistent bad experiences here. it's the Twilight Zone of Mimi's locations. the staff is not very attentive, present, etc. i would give specific examples but i don't want to in case a pending lawsuit occurs. i have been to other locations & states and it has been a totally different experience. i normally enjoy the food and service at these other locations. don't bother with this location.

I had brunch here last week - an omelet with bacon and avocado with a yummy muffin and a side of fruit. Everything was delicious - only four stars because the bacon and avocado weren't integrated into the omelet. They were just sitting on top. Weird.

I go here reguarly for one thing - the club sandwich w/fries or coleslaw. The portion is big, the turkey is like "real turkey" and the bread is good. Avoid Sundays because everyone has obviously come for breakfast and waits can be long. In all honesty, I love a good salad but there isn't a salad on the menu that interests me. In fact, other than the club sandwich, only the chicken pot pie sounds appealing. The last time we went they tried to seat us in a back room where a baby shower was going on and it was extremely loud. Nobody invited us to the baby shower so we decided not to join them and asked for alternative seating. Service is hit or miss but more hits than misses.

I just had the worst meal experience at Mimi's Cafe. We ordered some basic breakfast, nothing fancy. Waited nearly 50 minutes and no food and walked out. We asked what the wait was, the waiter said it was something to do with something being frozen (so much for fresh food) and said it would be 5 minutes. 15 minutes later, he didn't check on us or anything. Avoid this place like the plague. Their service is HORRIBLE.

This place is so good! They could use better servers though... every time i have been there the servers love to just hang round and talk... once our server forgot we were even sitting in his section! But the food is SERIOUSLY good. I recommend the pot roast, or the five cheese grilled cheese. Their mashed potatoes and veggies are great too!

I remember the very first time I ever experienced Mimi's Cafe was during my College years in Southern Cali. Back then they served large portions and had amazing deserts! Oh how times have changed... The menu is not as vast, nor the food at this particular location is as enticing as what I had remembered. I have been here on 3 occasions, all of which were unmemorable. If you work near here, there is a lunch special going for 10.99 which includes a soup or salad , drink, and a chosen entree from a selection of 5 items. When I went, I picked the burger with blue cheese and caramelized onions. Asked for the burger to be cooked medium, and it came out medium well.. lucky the sauce of blue cheese and a ranch-like concoction helped the burger hold together. The special soup of the day was a red bean and sausage soup.. very forgettable and tasted a bit like it came out of a can:( The French Fries made up for alot of the meal.. it was nice, hot, and crunchy!

It's not great, but it's pretty good, particularly the breakfasts. Nice for families with kids too. It doesn't have much competition in the Perimeter area for mid-priced chains, unless your tastes run to the slop they serve at places like Olive Garden ("When you're here - you're family!" They must not like their family much.).

A while back, my fiance and I decided to go out for lunch, and Chipotle was inexplicably closed. We could have waited 20 minutes, but instead made the mistake of going here, since it was in the same shopping area. What a waste of time and money. It was 2 in the afternoon, and we were the only table our waiter was serving. Yet, he was incredibly slow and unresponsive, to the point where we almost walked out before we got our food, except two loud obnoxious ladies were just hanging around next to the door, doing nothing. The food was incredibly overpriced for the quality. I don't even get the Louisiana, Big Easy theme going on in this place. THERE WAS NOTHING CAJUN ON THE MENU. It was like a tacky(er) version TGI Friday's, if you can believe it. My fiance says his burger was $8.50 and about the quality of Burger King. The french onion soup I had tasted like it came out of a can. So, essentially: tacky atmosphere that leaves one wondering, overpriced, tasteless food. That's what you get here. If we could give a 0, we would have.

Surprisingly not busy for a Saturday evening around 8 PM., seated quickly and the food and beverages were delivered quickly to the table. OK, nothing to rave about - EXCEPT the bread basket, carrot bread, Yum! And the Blueberry muffin was huge and was delicious. Adult beverages were not strong at all. A friend got the mini brownie with vanilla bean ice cream, it was good. With this location and the other restaurants in the vicinity, I don't think I would choose Mimi's.

Typically meet a good friend who has children here for breakfast every month or so. Food is always great! The staff especially tends to my friends children which is always a plus when going to a restaurant. Never had a bad experience.........service is always good to great. Great place for breakfast and a trip to Target after to walk it off!

We go there primarily for breakfast. The traditional ones such as sausage link or honey bacon with eggs or omelette are all reasonable. I tried their sirloin with eggs once, which is much better than what you got at IHOP. Their muffin is a monster. I have never seen bigger than theirs. Great place for family or friend gathering on weekend mornings.

My husband and I stumbled upon this place yesterday morning while on a weekend trip to Atlanta. I skipped over it when I did a search before we left our hotel because of the awful reviews, but when we drove past it we decided to stop. Glad we did, because our experience was quite good. From the kind hostesses to our booth at the rear away from kids, we received good service. My hubby and I split the avocado BLT omelet, and they gave us a whopping amount of rye toast on the side. All, including the accompanying fried taters, was quite yummy. The manager even came by our table to ask if everything was satisfactory. We did have to seek out a staff member to ask our waitress to bring the check after a wait at the end of our meal, but it was fine. We'd go back.

Don't do it! Oblivious host staff and managment, incompetent wait staff, mediocre food (at best), and awful kitchen execution just about cover it. I got a still frozen french fry with my meal and it took 10 minutes for the waiter to reappear. Management could have cared less. Even those with cooked food in my party thought the food was boring. You can do better just about anywhere else nearby.

Went back to Mimi's for breakfast to take advantage of a freebie for joining their "E-club". First time for breakfast at this location. I had the blueberry-filled french toast, which was tasty and substantial. Other breakfasts I've had at other Mimi's have been equally very good. Service/turnaround was a little slow considering there were very few folks in the restaurant at 9 a.m., but we'll give them a pass for being friendly and for the freebie. The E-club seems to send out frequent promotions that might get us there more often than we otherwise would, and Mimi's is good enough that we'll probably take advantage of a lot of those.

Impressive decor - uninspiring food. We were off to a great start with the artichoke cheese dip, but then it was mostly downhill from there. The seafood sampler was too fried and tasted a little funny. The chocolate cheesecake tasted like mousse. The salmon was alright, and the chicken pot pie looked satisfactory. Overall, don't expect anything more than chain restaurant quality. At $12+ per entree I probably won't go back.

This was surprisingly good. I didn't know what to expect. i hadn't read any reviews or anything before i came. a friend and i just happened upon this place after a hard day of caulking my tub. i'd been looking for a rest. that served just good all-around american food w/o the diner or cafeteria ambience, and i think i may have just found it--and i usually don't like chain rests. walking in, the decor was clean and comfortable, the wait staff was friendly. definitely not a stuffy environment. i ordered the honey dijon salmon, one of their signature dishes and everything from the asparagus, mashed potatoes, and salmon was cooked perfectly. we ended our meal w/ their bread pudding, which was really good too. even tho i've had better bread pudding elsewhere, their whiskey sauce really sets them apart. this is a cute place to go for lunch/dinner when you just want a good wholesome meal and you're not feeling like dressing up or dealing w/ valet parking and such...

a turkey club means it should have some turkey on it one would think. not today- turkey club came with literally not even a pinky size piece of turkey , all coleslaw, thanks but no thanks . this place has gone to the birds.

Went to lunch at Mimi's. Service was a little slow, soup was not hot, and steak was over-cooked. I ordered the Cobb Salad, which is delicious, and not bad to look at. It came with a fat free blueberry muffin... My favorite. I recommend their salad, soups, and fries!

Amazing, amazing AMAZING! We were sat down promptly and our waiter Shawn was attentive and courteous. He came and got our drink order quickly and appetizer. Our food took no time at all. I had the chicken pot pie and it was a little on the sweet side but still good. I also had the blackberry muffin and it was SO delicious. Overall a great experience.

Mimi's is a mediocre breakfast & brunch place. It has a New Orleans style feel to the restaurant. The restaurant is huge too. Even though it had a lot of fun, old-school, French style kitsch, it all seemed artificial. It felt like a corporate restaurant, not a restaurant owned by someone who is passionate about their restaurant. Even though the whole decor had a New Orleans style to it, the menu was your standard American breakfast. There was nothing exciting about it. You got your omelettes, your eggs Benedict, and you have your breakfast burritos. I'm sure the people of New Orleans traditionally ate breakfast tacos for breakfast. I ordered the steak and eggs. It was pretty bad. I ordered the steak medium-rare. It came out medium well. There was barely any pink to the meat. The eggs was done over easy, like I asked. But if they screwed that up, they would have no hope. The steak was just a steak. It had no seasoning at all, no salt, no pepper--nothing. It was just a piece of steak. It was bland as a hockey puck. Their eggs also had no seasonings. Their potatoes were unseasoned too. Do they even make an effort to make their food? I was curious why the waiter asked if I wanted any A-1, Ketchup, and tabasco for my dish. Now I know why. I needed ketchup and tabasco to put any flavor to this dish. The best tasting thing there was the water I was drinking. This place sucks. I don't know how else I can say it.

It was pretty quiet when I got there for lunch. Therefore, service was very efficient and everyone was friendly. What is this bread basket that every keeps talking about? Is it complimentary? If so, I surely did not get it. Ordered the Hickory Bacon Cheddar Burger with fries. Everything was very good that I cleaned out the whole plate. The highlight was when the chef himself came out to asked us how everything was. When I told him it was my first time there, he came out with a box of 2 free muffins on the house. How awesome was that?

We had a breakfast meeting there this morning & it was a great place to talk & it was reasonably priced. The food was good, tasty and light. I had been a number of times and had the Eggs Benedict (which is always good) but went for the crepes which didn't disappoint. The atmosphere was fun - we were in the New Orleans room. The service was good and no challenges.

I went to this restaurant last week for the first time and really enjoyed my meal. They give you complimentary muffins if it's your first time visiting the restaurant. This is going to be one of my favorite all time places to eat!!

Excellent service and no crowd on a Tuesday afternoon. First is the bread basket, with mini french breads and slices of carrot raisin loaf along with butter, great to munch on. I ordered a salad, which I forget the name of it, but it had bacon, blue cheese, walnuts, cranberries, strawberries, grilled chicken in balsamic vinegar dressing, along with a blueberry muffin. Delicious! The dressing comes tossed in the salad, next time I'll have it on the side. My date had the grilled cheese, and it was perfectly crisp with 3 different types of cheeses oozing out.

Mimi's Cafe is located at in the same live/dine complex anchored by Target. Also available are Taco Mac and Outback nearby or a string of smaller restaurants a block over. This area is one of my favorites due to the proximity to my old office and now to my new. I've had several dinners and lunches at Mimi's and in general the experience has been mediocre to good. The servers here, when they care, can be exceptional. While the food isn't spectacular, it's filling and you can generally find something on the menu to make your own. Well, that's if you're visiting on a regular week-day or evening. Now for Mimi's Cafe's darker side. This past Mother's Day we called two weeks in advance to acquire a reservation, knowing that the day would be busy - this was for a party of 8 at 1:00 PM. We thought that this would be a good compromise time after the initial brunch. The entire party arrived about a quarter to 1:00 and we were told that there was a wait of about 30 minutes. While this seemed a little excessive, we figured that the restaurant got a bit more of a crowd than usual and it still seemed worthwhile to wait. We added a couple of Bloody Marys from the bar and of course that made things a bit better - also someone came out with some spice cake for us to munch on while we waited. After about an hour, we were both getting impatient and very hungry, but we figured that by now everyplace nearby was probably just as packed - and indeed the sea of humanity had hardly subsided. There were still parties standing around everywhere, bleeding outside waiting for tables. We were informed that the previous group are sitting longer than usual. The staff were running around not knowing what to do about the crowds still waiting to be seated. We were told that we had the next table. 30 minutes later we were finally seated and greeted by a server, who started off very well until she found out it was the wrong table. 10 minutes later we finally got a server who managed to get our drink order to the table (pretty much all water). By now, approaching 3:00 PM we finally got our food order into the kitchen and the crowd had started to diminish. A bread basket hit the table and disappeared before anyone could blink. The empty water glasses should have been a clue, but I think we became resigned to whatever would happen at this point. When the food started to arrive, about half the table was served and then the food runners seemed lost. 10 more minutes before the rest of the table was served - we ate quickly and asked for our check. Of course the muffins that came with the meal were never served - once this was pointed out we were given two boxes to take with us. Surprisingly, our waiter was both charming, well informed and for the most part, very good. I think during a regular day and shift, he would be exceptional. I felt bad for the staff, but really felt worse for my family (most in-laws) as what should have been an exceptional day was made craptastic. Having had days like this in the past (I worked 10 years in restaurants), I know that some things are beyond your control - I certainly don't blame any of the staff. However, let an exceptionally low rating be a warning to this company for future, similar events. I think Mimi's would have been better served with a first-come, first-served policy on Mother's Day - I doubt if we were the only customers entirely dissatisfied with the experience. No one in our party will be coming back. (longer version published on on my food blog)

I was dissatisfied with the service today. Usually the service is great the the meal is prepared fresh. Today I felt I was held up at gun point. I will not make the mistake of coming here again. Inconsistent service. -Reggie.

I went to breakfast at Mimi's during a recent trip to Atlanta and I left without experiencing anything notable except poor customer service and mediocre food. The hostess stared and did not greet my party of two upon entering the restaurant. She looked as if customers were a nuisance and that she would rather be anywhere but at work. FYI Management: you may want to monitor who is placed at the Hostess station because they set the tone for your customer's experience. I almost wanted to turn around but we decided to stay and asked the hostess to be seated. The waitress who took our order initially appeared friendly and courteous. However, she was missing in action most of our time at the restaurant and we had to flag down other servers for service. The restaurant was not even half full but the service was so delayed. Once the food arrived the male server literally reached over me without warning (or saying excuse me) and kind of slammed the plates on the table and walked off before we could say anything. I had the Marseille Omelette that consists of a open-faced egg white omelette with sautéed spinach, mushrooms, caramelized onions, fresh tomatoes, goat cheese, and a small cup of fresh-cut fruit. It was satisfying but there was nothing memorable about it that would make me want to return to eat at Mimi's. My friend ordered the Pomme Lyonnaise Benedict that consists of potato galettes topped with hickory-smoked bacon, sautéed spinach, sliced tomatoes, poached eggs, traditional hollandaise, and a small cup of fresh-cut fruit. Overall, I am certain that I will not be back for more Mimi's because nothing was inviting or special about it period.

It took about an hour for our food. Then I ordered the chicken cordon blue sandwich on croissant and it came out on the soft baguette. Not good. Oh and the bacon balsamic was totally weird and not good. The server was nice.

I really enjoyed my mussels. Service was much better tonight. I would order the mussels again.

Great change of pace for breakfast-I will take MiMi's over Waffle House any day of the week. Second visit this week

(3)Jai R.
(3)Charly S.
If you want all day breakfast then Mimi's is not the place. We found out the hard way. Surprisingly the food was pretty good, the server was on her game and we had a good time.
(4)Carla D.
Quiche Lorraine was good. Service was attentive and quick. Restaurant was clean. Sampled the eggs Benedict and it was good too. IM not really a fan of it but the folks that ordered it went nuts over it.
(4)Gill B.
(2)Kamil B.
(4)Todd P.
(1)Lou G.
(2)Dawn W.
(3)Lauren B.
(3)Sammi L.
(1)Sukesh S.
(4)L P.

(3)Bryan R.
Went to Mimi's yesterday for lunch, it was a treat to see a place that service breakfast during that hour because i love to eat breakfast anytime. To be frank the server was a bit slow at first but apologized for his slow start and the experience was pretty good. I will return again.
(4)Evan R.
Good took 45 mins for breakfast after ordering. My wife's omelette had what was thought to be a shell in it only to find out after speaking to manager that they use liquid eggs for omelettes so who knows what it was

We had a wonderful first visit to this cafe!! The menu is varied, the decor is well done, the service (Katie) was very attentive! Best of all, the food was exactly as we ordered and tasted delicious!! We will be back, and will recommend to our friends!! Thanks!
(5)Morgan T.
(4)Jacquelin L.
This is a nice place to grad delicious food with a friend or someone special. Nice and intimate, not overcrowded like some places. The food is wonderful. I had the bouillabaisse, which was great! Will definitely be going back. Also has great mimosa!!
(4)Bharath P.
A must-visit restaurant. The staff is great. The interiors looks like an extract from the French quarters in New Orleans. We were there for breakfast on a Saturday morning and loved the crepes. The manager was nice to take our order on the house due to a delay.

Never Again Dining room was too warm Food mediocre at best Order came out wrong Took 15 minutes for server to bring refill of drinks 50 minutes for food to be served 20 minutes to receive and clear check Unfortunately a very bad dining experience

(3)Meredith S.
Horribly slow service with incompetent wait staff. We had to ask the hostess repeatedly about the status of our table after waiting longer than promised. We also had to hunt down a server to take our order. Overall, the food isn't that great and the wait makes it not worthwhile.
(1)Terrell O.
(2)Veda R.
(4)Jim J.

This place might have the worst service of any place I have eaten in the area. The food isn't even that good. Would stay away!!!
(1)Augustus L.
(3)Rachel M.
This is my go to brunch spot. great food, service, and atmosphere.
(4)Mick D.
(3)Lynn G.
it was just ok. The food wasn't remarkable. I enjoyed the warm décor. I may go back to try other menu items.

(3)R P.
Darian, the waitress, was awful. She was rude and not at all personable. The manager truly saved our experience.
(1)Sara A.
(3)Aimee E.
I just went here for lunch with a friend. I had the Fall Harvest Salad, DELICIOUS! I really enjoyed it, and ate the whole thing. The waiter was pleasant ,nice atmosphere. I'll definitely be going back.
(4)Tom G.
(3)Janelle D.
::yawn::
(2)James L.
(2)Gautam V.

(5)Sara M.
Do NOT waste your $
(1)Jackie H.

(1)Alyssa M.
(1)Michelle R.
(4)MONI B.
I will be back
(5)Karl T.
(4)The Food L.
Great breakfast , I always like their breakfast. They have improved their lunch too.
(5)Kalikal R.
(2)Karunya S.
Went here for lunch the other day. Chicken pot pie and crepes were really good. Wish they add more french entrees tothe menu.. Willd efinitely go again

(4)Tony H.
(4)Alex A.
(1)D H.
(2)Austin S.

(4)Jim O.
(3)J D.
(2)Don H.
(4)Yoonie S.
(4)Sarah E.
(4)Anita I.
(4)Brad S.

I love the service, and the food. Came during the lunch rush an I was still seated right away.

(1)Megan F.

Food was good and service was even better.

(2)Chris E.
Typically meet a good friend who has children here for breakfast every month or so. Food is always great! The staff especially tends to my friends children which is always a plus when going to a restaurant. Never had a bad experience.........service is always good to great. Great place for breakfast and a trip to Target after to walk it off!
(4)Sean L.

(4)David S.

I just had the best breakfast. My sever was fantastic and the restaurant was beautiful.

(3)Aja M.

(4)Amy S.
(4)Keyshon J.
I went to this restaurant last week for the first time and really enjoyed my meal. They give you complimentary muffins if it's your first time visiting the restaurant. This is going to be one of my favorite all time places to eat!!
(5)Coco B.

Had a good breakfast with the family. The portions are quite generous and good. It was a great alternative to the traditional breakfast outlets. Give them a try!

-Reggie.
