Burger or Hamburger is savored as the most desired fast food meal in the United States. A hamburger is basically a sandwich prepared by stuffing ground meat patty, generally beef, between two slices of a bun cut in half. Hamburger is also famous for its seasoning. Most popular condiments used in hamburgers in the United States are mustard, mayonnaise, and ketchup. Besides ground meat patty, hamburgers are also stuffed with lettuce, onions, tomato slices, pickles, and cheese.
Hamburgers are also categorized into two types in the United States. Fast food hamburger and individual hamburgers served at restaurants are two basic types of burgers served in the United States. The individual hamburgers served at restaurants are prepared using everything including lettuce, onion, tomato, and sliced pickles as well as melted cheese on the patty or crumbled on top. American restaurants also serve veggie burgers for those who don't relish meat. Cheeseburgers are also hot favorite in the United States.
McDonalds is the most popular fast food burger restaurant serving different types of burgers in the United States. On the other hand, there are several restaurants such as Burger King are famous for serving the best hamburgers in the United States. Previous meals at Marlow's have been 4-star. I've been on a diet and trying to eat fairly healthy... definitely doable at Marlow's, which I appreciate. It being the holidays with family in town, I decided to go off-diet and enjoy a burger and fries. What an unexpected disappointment. The gorgonzola burger, rather than sporting gorgonzola crumbles, was topped with a pasty mayonnaise-looking sauce that I was told was "a creation of our chef" mixture of sour cream, gorgonzola and whatever else. The fries, which looked great, had been ruined by a liberal sprinkling of sugar. Again I was told that this was "a creation of our chef." To someone who loves fries but rarely gets to eat them, this was an abomination! Yet another member of our party ordered a side of fresh fruit. Quality was good, but the fruit had been sprinkled with salt and pepper! Yes - you guessed it - another "chef-creation." Marlow's has plenty of potential, and uses good ingredients, but the chef should stick to the basics and leave his/her cutesy culinary deviations out.

Can I begin by saying that I have walked by this place for the last six months and never though to try it out. What a mistake was that!! This place was incredibly sweet. The manager was super pleasant and took time to come by our table and welcome us in a very genuine way. Our waiter was also super nice and pleasant. He was patient while we ordered and provided great tips on the choices available. Recommend that you try them out for brunch...excellent Bloody Mary's and mimosas. The food and drinks were very fairly priced (recommend you do the steak and eggs) they know how to cook your steak to perfection. I will definitely come back soon.

Yay, Marlow's brought back their turkey burger. It's a bit different, but it's still really tasty! I've tried a lot of what's on their menu since we lived really close to a Marlow's for a while and they were open fairly late, but the turkey burger or the black bean burgers were my go to. The black bean burger is a decent vegetarian option, and Marlow's standard fries are some of my favorite. Most of their sandwich options aren't my cup of tea, but you can't really go too wrong with their appetizers, salads, and burger options. My only real hang up that's across the chain is the failure they serve as a pickle with the burgers. A long time ago I believe they had store bought pickle spears, but suddenly adopted a new recipe and started serving this un-pickled squishy cucumbers that are mostly salt. They're really salty. I don't know where this is a pickle, but they're wasting a lot of cucumbers is an assumption. Everyone at my table disliked them and we were piling them up on top of each other. They're just... not good... Otherwise, no complaints. Will probably be back more now that the turkey burgers back. Haha.

Excellent food as usual with Marlow's. Service at this location is awful Tried twice and both times food and drink took absolutely forever. We were served our appetizer's without all of the food and on one of the experiences we didn't get our water until our waitress brought us the bill.

So I'll start by explaining my 1 star. I live within two miles of Emory Pointe so it's always preferred to come here instead of going somewhere else for dinner. Now I have no idea why but 8 out of times I get servers and managers who are incredibly slow to serve, not well trained and lack proper people skills. (I'm writing this review after having the 3rd consecutive bad experience here). The drinks weren't made correctly, the food was wrong and it took 1.5 hours to get a cup of soup and a burger. So that's that. On the flip side, there is a FANTASTIC server named Abby who works here. As sweet and as charming as can be (ask for her, if she's working she'll make sure to charm you out of your seat) with her politeness and willingness to serve you!

I decided to being my friend who's studying abroad at Emory to Marlow's for dinner since she wanted to explore Emory Point. We were seated in the patio area which was actually very warm due to the heating system. It almost started to get hot after a while but wasn't too bothersome. We ordered the killer calamari for appetizer, she got the lettuce wrap with grits and I ordered the fish tacos with fried okra. The sweet chili sauce for the calamari was on point but the calamari itself was not as crispy as expected. However, the sauce definitely made up for it. Friend said she liked the lettuce wrap and the grits. I really enjoyed my fish tacos. Usually not a fish fan but the ones served here were quite delicious. And the okra! I'd say the highlight of my dinner was the side fried okras. I'd say the ambience here is somewhat between casual and formal (mainly due to the lighting). Noise level gets pretty high indoors but that wasn't an issue for us since we sat outside.

We visit Marlow's every now and then ... It's close and the food is always good. Tonight's experience was unbelievable... They had recently changed their menu and I was craving a sandwich that used to be on their old menu. I asked my waiter if they were still able to make the old sandwich (fully expecting that they couldn't), but he said he'd be happy to ask. Two minutes later, the manager (Lucas) was at our table explaining that they didn't have all of the ingredients that were on the original sandwich, but offering to customize a sandwich for me to get as close as possible. Not only was that sandwich amazing, but everyone's food was delicious and the service throughout the meal was exceptional, including Lucas stopping by periodically to make sure we were doing well. Great food AND that kind of customer service???? Go to Marlow's!

Great place for gatherings after work. The two hour free parking is a giant plus. We have met here many times and each time is enjoyable with great service and food. This evening is wonderful in the patio. Good food and good friends gathering.

SInce I was near this place for a meeting, I gave this place a try because my friend recommended it. I ordered food to go - fried asparagus and the beet salad with quinoa. It took over 30 minutes for me to get my food and when I got back to my hotel room, there was no quiona in my quinoa beet salad. The place was not even busy and most people were just drinking. Since you can see the kitchen, I saw that there werent many tickets for the kitchen to fire. I am glad I had some extra food in my hotel room. Maybe if I want beer, I will go here, but not for the food.

I never know what drinks to order- they seem a little steep for the offerings. However I have dreams about the tuna tataki appetizer. I have it as a light entree. The truffle fries are ok, and the bf has approved of the wings. space= really pretty! and I really enjoy their patio. If only they would allow dogs... service= eh. hit or miss. mostly slow. there are some better servers though. Not too shabby...

Great spot for quick and delicious food! Ordered the soup of the day and loved it. It was a tomato and basil soup. Nice and creamy and soothing to the soul. Ordered a cup of fruit as well and fruit was good, but could have been satisfied with just the soup. My friend ordered a salad and it looked yummy as well. Would recommend checking out this spot if you are in the area.

We went for the preview weekend, so it had only been open a few days. That usually means there will be a few kinks that need to be worked out, but honestly, everything seemed to be working smoothly already when we were there. Food was great (as it usually is at Marlow's Tavern), and the service was very attentive, helpful and friendly. Love the steak and frites, and my wife loved her fish dish. Another great Marlow's Tavern for Atlanta!
(4)Joanna C.
Great atmosphere- a bit dark but that's what a tavern entails. Nice bartenders and honestly better than expected food. Like, really good food- this coming from a foodie. Would recommend to any out if towner!

I am from Chicago and know my food, when I travel I'm usually a little skeptical when I order a burger. But the Tavern Burger with their homemade bacon jam with their fresh veggie toppings was one of the greatest burgers I have ever eaten. I'm only here for a few days and I'll be going back to Marlows Tavern. Additionally the service and staff very nice and friendly, the ambiance is very nice not like a tavern, has more of a feel of a high end restaurant with a great outdoor patio.

I came here for a Georgia State Alumni event. So I didn't get the full experience. We had some shared appetizers and drinks. The Riesling was pretty delicious, I only had one glass of wine. What really impressed me were the kettle chips. There were bacon bits which I picked off but they were also covered in this sour creamy and oniony dip. It was amazing! I loved the crunch of the chips with that deep fried flavor and the coolness of the dip. The buffalo wings were reallly good! Crispy, spicy, and cooked all the way through. What more could you ask for? I'm not sure what kind of dipping sauce that was, it tasted like ranch with something added to it. However it was divine. I need to go back and try this place out and get the full experience. I'd definitely go back.

2.5/5 Parking: You can park in the deck parking deck for free 3 hours before 5:00 and for 2 hours after 5:00. Service: Our waitress was very nice and friendly. I do think the service in general is a bit slow in terms of bringing out drinks and food though. Food and Drinks: -Ahi Tuna Poke Appetizer: This is an appetizer but I had this individually and it filled me up. I've been craving Ahi Tuna Poke so this really hit the spot. -Fries: The fries here are not crispy, but instead soft and limp overloaded with salt. -Blueberry Cocktail: About 70% of my drink was ice. The taste was great (albeit a little watered down), but if I was to be given so much ice I would've liked a full sized glass instead of a half glass. -Sangria: The wine glass of sangria is pretty good and has fruit in each glass served, but also watered down. My irk with this place is that the $10 drinks are watered down and the $$ food is mediocre at best. Definitely not a college budget friendly place despite its location and would probably only come here for proximity to campus.

This is a restaurant located in Emory Point on the interior side of the complex next to fresh to order. The restaurant is very dim inside and the floors were super slippery since it had been raining and customers have been walking around in their wet shoes. My mom and I ordered the infamous fish tacos and a baby kale Caesar's salad. The service was great, they split both dishes for us without us asking! The only thing I did not like about the food was that it was on the salty side. The salad had too much dressing (ask for dressing on the side if prefer less dressing on your salads!) and the sauce in the tacos was too much. Last time I came here I remember getting a burger and it was pretty good, not a bad place to dine if you're in the area and want some American food.
(3)Kyle C.
The food here is thoughtful and generous. Maybe a touch less salt is needed all the way around, but you won't be disappointed. Strong recommend for the chicken and waffle at brunch. Service was not especially swift or attentive, seating for our large group was easy. Good spot in general. Would give a 3.5 overall.

AHI TUNA POKE. that is all that i come for & i could eat it all day errday. and can someone please inform me as to how you're supposed to pronounce "poke". is it like "poke" as in you're poking someone or "pok-ee", which is how i've been saying it to make it sound more classy than it actually is hahaha

Basing this review only on the dish I got - but DO NOT order the stuffed french toast, which sounded delicious by the description but left much to be desired. For some reason, a layer of tempura surrounded the entire thing. What is already a decadent meal made me feel worse after eating it because it just felt greasy. You could barely taste the sweetness of the bananas or caramel, of which there was little. I knew I wasn't the only one who felt this way when I looked at the plates of the 2 other people who ordered it and saw they were half uneaten. Service, decor, etc was fine so I will be fair and give an extra star but by far, worst brunch I've ever had, and it's pretty hard to mess up brunch.

This is the second Marlow's Tavern location I have visited. I have been twice- once for lunch and another time for dinner. Have been seated quickly both times. I have tried two different items: Tavern Burger and Black & Blue Steak Salad. I think Marlow's burgers are pretty good considering the scope of burgers here in Atlanta. Not at the top, but pretty darn good. My friend tried the lettuce burger wrap and was disappointed with the utility (the burger is slippery against the lettuce). I think the concept is good for those that want to cut back on carbs or have other dietary concerns. To me- a burger isn't a burger without the bun. I think I actually find the Black & Blue Steak Salad to be more enjoyable than the burger. Mmmm...I am drooling just thinking about it. It's not the healthiest of salad options but it is great for when I am not in the mood for a burger. One thing I didn't like about this place is that there are no outlets anywhere for customers to use if they are dining. Odd thing, I know. I had to charge my phone and there was nothing. The waitress and host worked really hard to find me a convenient one. I ended up having to put my phone in a corner and try to watch out for it form afar. In a cellphone world like today, just something to consider. Service was good both times. During our dinner visit, I had a store coupon to use. We were just shy of the minimum (maybe like a dollar), but the waitress didn't give us any flack and let us use it.

Really poor service...walked out tonight. I've been here 5 times and it started of fine. My last visit the service was slow, my burger child in the center and my 5 year olds pita pizza runny and inedible. We tried again today and granted it was a holiday but we waited to be seated. We day in our booth for 15 minutes without any one approaching us. We left. Seems that no manager, no hostess....No more of my business.
(1)Tracey S.
What an amazing place! There is nothing bad I can say about my visit. FREE appetizer for being a first time customer! Everything tasted awesome. The restaurant was clean and decorated nicely. Service was extremely friendly and on point. I will definitely be coming back!
(5)Charlie P.
A fine place of you want to have a beer near CDC/Emory and sit on a porch. Otherwise it's just not good. Repeatedly, service is the slowest I've ever experienced. I'm talking 2+hours for lunch, three times. Poorly trained staff. Mediocre food. Beer selection is lacking compared to restaurants in Decatur and Atlanta. The Hopsecutioner they had in draft tasted old, and the other selections are made up of various Budweiser/Miller iterations.

Been there many times. Cutting to the chase. It's a chain bar. Think TGIFridays with no flair. It's usually a last minute lazy call for us since we live up the road. Food is ok, but tries to be more fancy then it really is. Usually we do enjoy it there, but what drove me to write a review was the horrible lack of service tonight. We went in and were seated, no server. One showed up at the table next to us and had a very detailed conversation about the menu and her boyfriend's eating habits. When she came back the second time to them and we've yet to get a greeting or water we left. 15 minutes in and nothing, who knew how long it would have taken us tonight to get food. Again, food is good but not worth waiting that amount of time on.

One of my favorite lunch spots. I eat there at least 2 times a week. The customer service is pretty good and they have quite a few things on the menu I like. They have burgers that are sooooo good.
(5)Brittany B.
Walked in the door to be genially greated by the chef! A change from your normal hostess as being a man at 6 ft plus in hight. Our waiter was equally wonderdful and kind. I mentioned my gluten allergy and he produced a menu almost as large as their normal menu that was full of gluten free foods. We started with a parmisan and truffle french fry that was so good it didn't need anything to dip. The chef then brought us a plate of home cut chips smothered in bacon and a cheese sauce that was amazing, just because it was our first time in. Our meals came and they were lovely. I had the grilled salmon and my husband a burger. They were cooked perfectly, but just to double check the chef came to check on us one last time. I'm happy to say this is the best dining experience we have had in a while and we will be back. They take great pride in their service and food. YUM!

Met with a client here on a Thursday for lunch. Where do I start :/... I hate writing bad reviews but it does help the business with improving their service! I ordered tea... Tea came room temp, barely warm. Twice. Asked for dressing on the side 3 times-salad came with dressing. Chipotle soup was so overly cheesy and creamy & rich , nearly inedible... Also came at room temp, very unappetizing. Client's roast beef was fatty & dry. I wish we picked somewhere else. For $70 we could have fined somewhere much better.

I went to lunch with a friend and ordered the Shrimp Po Boy from a special menu. It was packed full with lightly battered shrimp and was very tasty. I selected the Jalapeno Corn "grits" cake as my side item which was just okay. I had to eat most of the Po Boy Sandwich with a fork instead of eating it like a traditional sandwich since it was packed full of ingredients. For dessert I ordered the chocolate brownie topped with pecans in a caramel type sweet sauce and vanilla ice cream. It was delicious.

Good Food, Good service, The place is so dark but you won't be disappointed. Standard chain pub but reliable.

I'm a fan of Marlow's Tavern. I work across the street, so it is very convenient for lunch or meeting people for an early dinner after work. I quite enjoy their implementation of a seasonal menu and ordered a bison burger during the summer. It was good. Both times I've gone, I've ordered the fried okra side and enjoy this dish very much. The other day I ordered the burger lettuce wrap. Jackpot. It was perfectly cooked to a medium rare temperature and was so juicy. The bacon jam was delightful. Others around me ordered salads that looked phenomenal. Someone else ordered the shrimp and grits, which is actually a grit cake, and ate every bite. The portions are large, which is always nice. Unfortunately, they do not take reservations. They do that call ahead thing. One day, I called ahead (several hours earlier) for a group of 12 at 12:45. The manager told me about their policy and said he couldn't guarantee a table. I asked if we should go elsewhere, but of course he didn't want that. He said we should be fine. Well, our group of now 10 showed up at 12:45 and there wasn't a table for us. The hostess told us it would be a 30-45 minute wait. One of our guests saw another group paying, so she kindly asked them if they were leaving soon. They were, so it worked out for us this time. Just be weary of this non-reservation stuff. They do offer check-splitting for large groups, which is always a plus. This isn't my favorite restaurant, but I do enjoy it and would recommend for a "formal-casual" dining experience.
(4)Amy C.
This is located at Emory Pointe by Emory University. There aren't too many great choices to ever choose from and this place is A-ok. It has what you need to satisfy a craving but it's nothing to come on Yelp and rave about because all their foods you've had somewhere else before. It's not bad but it isn't so unique and mind blowing that it's worthy of a 5 star either.
(3)Grady M.
Been here a few times with my mom for dinner and myself alone once, the food is fine & good but however the service has been poor and we have recieved coupons for an appitizer which was nice from the staff there. I went here alone durning lunch between 12:30-1 and it was packed & busy which i was surprised and about 5 people besides me were standing in line and thankfully a hostess was able to accomadate some because i thought the wait would be a while and when the hostess came to me i asked how long it will be and was told 20 minuets and thankfully the bar was open as i had been waiting to be reconginzed. I had a coupon for an appitizer which they accomadated and then ordered a ceaser salad it took a little while to recieve till my salad to come which was not till my appitizer had arrived and when it came it came it had eggs on it and then i had it sent back to have the eggs off and after 5 minuets i asked about it since they had seemed to forgot about it. Finally it came when i brought it up. I really like marlows and wish i can rate this place more stars but the lack of service was frustrating.

Surprisingly impressed by my experience here tonight. The food over exceeded my ever expectations. They are offering a "New Orleans" special menu so cool!! So I had to order the seafood gumbo which I'm SO glad I did. It had great chunks of shrimp, sausage, crab and much more and it had a nice spice kick to it, nice and fulfilling not that thin watery soup!! I also got the Jalapeño Grits with cheddar, mhmm it was delicious. To top it off we said outside on the beautiful patio. The area is so cute! Definitely a new area on the come up, new apartments being built and a lot of other cute shops. It was definitely a great way to spend my Sunday evening with friends! :))

Came here with friends for dinner while visiting ATL. This place is located in a fairly new shopping center, Emory Point. It's well designed and very architecturally pretty, but has the unfortunate side effect of putting you in a parking garage if you aren't lucky to get one of the three parking spots out front of your destination. Anyway, on to Marlow's... We had a fairly large group, but the restaurant handled us with flying colors. All of the appetizers and entrees came out at the same time or within minutes of each other. Bravo, kitchen staff! Started off with the nachos.. Now, these things were made with kettle chips (interesting texture, but tasted a bit over cooked) and were loaded to the hilt with toppings! Many in the group remarked that they liked these the best of all the apps. The fried green beans with aioli dip were probably my fave. Very crispy and fresh-tasting for a fried food. The feta dip with toast points was like a feta version of queso--a new concept for me, but I liked it. The calamari was your typical calamari: fried, salty, delicious. A little on the greasy side, but hey, no one orders fried stuff to be healthy. For my entree, I had the Ahi tuna salad with pomegranate vinaigrette. I love love LOVED the pomegranate seeds in the salad--such a great texture to add to the beets and the tuna. This salad wins for not skimping on toppings, as almonds and red onions also made quite the appearance. A great menu change from the usual chicken Caesar that seems standard restaurant fare. I was a little disappointed that for a "tavern" there weren't more local beer options--just a few from Sweetwater when I was there--but at the same time, the SW Seasonal I had was delicious, so maybe they don't need to keep any more on hand than that. Overall, a nice restaurant that I'd return to if I were in the area.

This is my new favorite place. Loved the homemade potato chips. Each of the meals we ordered were top notch. The service was excellent. These folks know what they are doing.

I went for lunch with my wife last Friday. The tavern is located in a new complex where more restaurant/bars along with specialty shops are in the process of opening. This could be a neat area for shopping and dining around Emory. We had a slight wait as the Friday lunch crowd was in full swing. We were seated near the bar. The bar is really cool by the way; it's situated right next to an open-air area, indoor seating on one side, and outdoor seating on the other. For the meal, we started out with the hummus. It's mixed with blue cheese (I think) and was really good. We both ordered the veggie black bean burgers. They were good, but my cheddar grit cake side-dish stole the show - excellent! We want to come back and explore the menu a little more, especially the side items.

Let me just start by saying that the grilled cheese at this place is utterly glorious in every way imaginable - to the point where I'd like nothing more than to have it administered to me in perpetuity via intravenous drip. I ventured to Marlow's Tavern on a whim one Sunday morning in search of some carbohydrates following an evening out on the town - it's quite possible that my expectations were low and my mental impairment was high, but I actually enjoyed my experience here. Food: The menu at Marlow's Tavern is comprised of casual American bare fare, including appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and full-size entrees. During my inaugural visit, we started with the kettle chips with gorgonzola cheese and bacon - the chips were nicely cooked and the serving of cheese and bacon was generous. For an entree, I opted for the rustic grilled cheese, which was made with havarti, swiss, and classic mornay - the best part was the applewood smoked bacon and the butter-slathered sour dough bread it was sandwiched between. For a side, I ordered the hand-cut tavern fries, which were a greasy, coronary occluding delight. Service: All the staff were professional, courteous, and welcoming. Upon learning that we had never dined at the restaurant before, the waitress gave us an overview of the menu and offered recommendations. Shortly thereafter, the manager arrived with a complimentary order of kettle chips, which I think is their standard schtick for new customers. It was a nice touch and it worked - the added hospitality certainly enticed me to return again in the future. Atmosphere: The interior of this place was darker than a dungeon, but I'm not complaining because I looked absolutely wretched from the previous evening's festivities. Other than that, the set-up of this place is fairly standard - there's a series of raised booths and tables throughout, as well as a fairly expansive outdoor patio. There is an open kitchen toward the back, so the air was a little thick around the tables in the near vicinity. Cost: Reasonably priced. Appetizers are $5-$10, sandwiches and burgers are approximately $10, and full entrees are generally $10-$15. Other: This location of Marlow's Tavern is located in the new Emory Point complex, directly across from CDC's main campus. The restaurant is centrally located in the complex, right next to Tin Lizzy's. Free parking is available for up to 2 hours before 5PM and 3 hours after 5PM in the plaza's parking garage. Marlow's hours of operation are Sunday-Thursday, 11AM-11PM, and Friday-Saturday, 11AM-1AM. Brunch is served on the weekends from 11AM to 3PM.

Food was excellent but service was a weak 3. It was around 1pm and the lunch crowd was pretty much gone.

I get dragged here by Emory point residents constantly and for the most part I regret each visit. Let me break it down for you. There is some blue tea concoction that is the essence of disappointing. I will admit I bought the tea because of it's name, at the moment I can't remember the name, but it didn't live up to my internal hype. Actually it didn't even live up to a modest level of tad. Now, I am no tea connoisseur, but when drinking a neon blue tea reminds me of the time a highlight exploded in my mouth, the taste not the color. The color was red FYI. The calamari is okay, but if you get it as a main course unless you scarf it down at a fork break pace it will be cold half way through. The dipping sauce helps to counteract the cold calamari, but it just isn't worth it. It just, isn't, worth it. Now to the tvs. My friends and I went to watch a sporting event there and unless you are on the deck you will have to maintain a status of jerked neck. Again, it just isn't worth it. I feel compelled to at least put something positive. So here it is, if you ask them nicely they will let you charge your phone. So that's cool.

Get the Royale with Cheese. It is one of my favorite burgers in Atlanta, if not my absolute favorite. Sadly it gets ignored by 'best burger' lists because Marlow's is considered a chain. I went recently on a busy night, but was able to sit at the bar without a problem. We decided to go ahead and order there and the bartender took great care of us. I branched out and ordered a po'boy, but the Royale with Cheese is definitely the thing to get. Parking is a breeze at Emory Point with the free deck so take advantage of it. This place also has a lot of televisions making it a good spot to catch some games during football season. It seems to attract fans who passively watch the game so don't expect a big game day atmosphere. Instead just enjoy the game, the food, and the company.

I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at Marlows. I came in for brunch, and it was an amazing experience. The service was prompt and friendly, and the manager even came out and gave us a free appetizer and thanked us for coming since we live in the building. There are plenty of brunch options. I also was pleased with the Mimosas, and found out they have a bloody Mary bar where you can craft your own bloody Mary, which is pretty cool. The outdoor patio is great! Go check it out!

Went for a brunch on Saturday. They weren't too busy, but it is Emory point in the summer time. We were greeted at the door by a really friendly employee and out server was also really friendly and upbeat. I always enjoy going somewhere the employees seem to like their jobs. I ordered a Bloody Mary to start, it came with a medicine dropper in it filled with a spicy sauce you could add to your drink. It was really Good! Probably one of the best bloodys I've ever had. My boyfriend ordered the chicken and waffles which was sweet and delicious. I had the BLT panini, which was fantastic! It had fresh melted mozzarella cheese, friend green tomatoes, fresh grilled chicken breast and bacon all pressed in between soft ciabatta. I got a side of grit cakes, which were deep fried and good as well. The patio was really awesome, lots of shady seating and good people watching. I don't give out many 5 star reviews but this was a wonderful experience, start to finish.

Live in Buckhead , a place loaded with choices for lunch, but do enjoy frequent visits to Marlow's at Emory Point as we did on Saturday. Very much disappointed on one side item but most offensive was the comment passed along by the server , made by the "chef" regarding the chickpea fries. I have ordered this side frequently and in fact prepare the fries myself in my own kitchen. Upon receiving the order I placed on Saturday, I was delivered a cone of fried nuggets that contained a soft, mushy center. I questioned the server regarding the change in presentation and recipe. She didn't have much of an opinion but evidently checked with the kitchen. Upon being presented the bill I asked again if there was an opinion on the change. Here is the reason for the 3 stars ....The chefs reply... ( according to the server, And I quote "I don't know, they look the same to me". Really chef?? Let's start with the fact they are called on the menu, chickpea fries, not deep fried partially set chickpea nuggets. And, by the way, where was that crunch???

I went here with a large group and we ordered a bunch of different appetizers to share and they were all great. They have a large burger menu here and burgers that can be customized to your preferences. I definitely enjoyed my meal here.

This.location is close to my job and i come here when I'm too lazy to drive anywhere for lunch. Doesn't get too crowded, never had a long wait for service or my food. Never had any complain about how my food tasted. The menu Is kinda boring, but i leave full and that's all that really matters.

This Marlow's is in the new Emory Point mixed-used development. I came here during lunchtime with a couple of co-workers. It seems like the place is full of CDC and Emory folk. We had a group of 4, and we waited about 15 minutes to be seated. Not too bad for a packed restaurant. I did call ahead several weeks prior since this was a planned lunch, but they do not take reservations. I had the open-face steak sandwich with a side of fried okra. The other people had the veggie burger, chicken sandwich, and fish tacos. Service was prompt and friendly. The steak sandwich was ok. You could tell they wanted to make it excellent, but the bedding of onion and cheese (i think it was gorgonzola, can't remember) made the sandwich so salty. And the bread was super soggy from all the additions. The fried okra was battered and fried whole. Very nice. The fish tacos were ok, and the veggie burger was good. My vegetarian coworker who got the veggie burger had the house salad on the side but had to change it out because there was bacon in it. Be careful vegetarians. The waitress at one point came by and asked, "Is everything amazing?" Very awkward moment. We had barely started our food at this point, and I had just taken my first bite of the salt and steak sandwich. I probably won't go here again because the food isn't worth the wait, but it's not terrible either. If you're in the CDC/Emory area and need a place to eat, this place would be just fine.

My GF and I go here weekly, usually because we are craving the French dip or the Royal burger - a new addition to the menu that uses Wagyu beef (similar to Kobe beef but not from Kobe Japan). The food, service and atmosphere is consistently good and the Royal is perhaps one of the best burgers in town.

This place is great casual dinning. I had lunch here with a friend a few days ago. Because of its proximity to CDC, I would actually recommend you go at off-peak hours. Lunchtime is VERY busy. We had the truffle fries to start with, which were delicious. My friend had a baked potato soup (a somewhat pedestrian choice, I thought) but it was tasted fine. The steak flat bread was also good but kind of meh. There was nothing meh about their burger, however. It was one of the best burgers I've had in a while. The meat was perfectly cooked, the bun was tasty. I WILL be back for more.

Where to start. This restaurant has the laziest bunch of clowns working. We walk in with a groups of 20+ people at 10:00pm, all ready to get our drinking on. The restaurant had four tables filled at most and half of their pathetic patio. this place was empty on a FRIDAY night. When we first walked in, the manager on duty gave a half-ass welcome and basically didn't want to go through the effort of seating us. I couldn't figure out why this @ss clown didn't want to make any money when their restaurant was empty. So, since the manager made no effort to seat us, we proceeded to the patio and seated ourselves. The not-so-busy waiter told is we couldn't sit out there because he couldn't handle a party that big. Apparently we cut into his standing-around time. These waiters must not work on tips. So, we proceeded back into the restaurant where the @ss clown got pissed at us because apparently we were taking valuable tables away from the non-existent customers. At that point, a bunch of us left to go next door (to Thin Lizzies) where the staff was extremely friendly, and accommodated us right away. These morons better get their s#it together or they won't be around for very long.

Great little pub! Good food and the service is great, plus there is free parking in the deck across the street. Been there a few times and the experience is consistenlty enjoyable.

I had a nice lunch here (Tavern Salad) - while waiting to check in to my nearby hotel. The menu was huge and a bit overwhelming. It also seemed to have a lot of personalities going on... cajun, southern, pub food, mexican etc. The bar looked cozy and there is ample outdoor seating with big tables for groups. Seems like a nice place to have in this neighborhood... but not a special destination by any means.

This little place opened just a couple of days ago and this is my second time here already. I like the ambience and how nice the staff is. I had an awesome turkey burger with a nice Caesar salad. I thought it was great that there were several options to go with their burgers, from asparagus to fries to salads. I also had nice Californian Pinot Noir. I'm definitively coming back during my two -week stay in Atlanta.

Fantastic beet and quinoa appetizer. Had a yummy steak a few weeks ago. They make a good Manhattan. The staff is very attentive, friendly and helpful. They do a great job with groups.

I like the other Marlows locations...this one is ruined by the incompetency and rudeness of the majority of servers. The bartender in particular rubbed me the wrong way as she let my to go order get cold while she flirted with a group of men. I waited 15 minutes to get my food that was ready when I got there. Unacceptable. This was my last straw with them. Won't be going back.

I chose to wait to review this sure you the fact that chain restaurants have a habit of being inconsistent. With that being said I can honestly say that I have eaten here about 4-5 times and each time has been a great experience. The food had been satisfying (try the black&bleu burger) as well as the service. We are always greeted promptly and seated right away. If it is your first time there they will usually give you a complementary appetizer which is the kettle chips. This is a great place for date night or just going out with family/friends. Would recommend!

While this is a very convenient spot for a beer after work, there's nothing really special about this place. Food is decent (I've had the stuffed turkey burger, which was surprisingly mildly sophisticated). Beer selection is ok- rather limited draught offerings. But of course, since it's located where it is, it'll never go out of business thanks to Emory and CDC folks.

I've always had a great experience every single time I visit a Marlow's. Last night was my first time visiting this location in the new shopping center, Emory Pointe. My cousin and I came in for a couple of drinks, and shared the lobster crab dip (which is AMAZING btw - it comes with pita), and an ahi tuna salad. After we finished our appetizer, we were sitting around for literally 10-15 minutes and our salad still hasn't come out (we ordered everything at the same time). A manager, Pete, approached us and asked how we were doing.. So we told him we've been waiting for our salad. Anyways, turns out they forgot our salad. The bartender said she thought we were just asking about the salad, which wasn't true, because I remembering her asking if we wanted our tuna rare. Luckily, we weren't in a huge rush. Pete put our order in right away, and ended up giving us our next round of drinks on the house. Initially, I was slightly annoyed that it was taking so long for our salad to come out. Also, I've never had an experience less than great at a Marlow's. But I would like to applaud Pete for resolving the issue. We ended up leaving very happy and we will definitely be back.

Had dinner here this evening. Good portions and very tasty. Good beer menu. Hubby liked the blueberry bread pudding. Would recommend to all.

Outstanding!!! The restaurant was clean, comfortable and handsome. Our waitress Mia was sweet, fast and efficient. Based on her recommendations, we tried the Shrimp and Grits, Tavern Salad and Lobster beignets. The salad was fresh and flavorful. The beignets were light and yummy. The shrimp & Grits were... Phenomenal!!!! I like the dish, including my wife's, but this is amazing stuff. We regretfully split the dish - I wanted ALL of it - and I came so very close to licking the bowl. I saw several dishes go by that looked equally awesome, so we'll be back ASAP. Go give the place a try, you won't be disappointed.

Clean place, friendly and knowledgable staff. Would highly recommend the kettle chips as an appetizer, they were amazing. Great place, will definitely come back!

This place is great, especially for groups and carryout. We came as a group of 20 for lunch and were seated outside. Lucky for us, it wasn't that hot out, plus the presence of multiple oscillating fans really helped circulate the air and keep folks cool. While I've had their awesome burger before, I went for the fish tacos and jalapeno corn grits, with a side of fried okra. I was super pleased with freshness and deliciousness of the fish tacos. The corn grits paired with them super well, and I really enjoyed the light friedness of the okra. Yum yum yum. Refills were promptly provided and service was stellar. Bills were separated with ease, which is a feat for a group of 20. I highly recommend!

I often eat at Marlow's Tavern for lunch. I work across the street, from Emory Point. Each and every time, I have lunch there, Tyler makes my visit very personable and pleasant. He updates me on the latest dishes. Everyone else is also very nice and service is prompt. I especially like the crispy short rib. Moist, tender, and very flavorful. It is a new dish at Marlow's. It's the only time I splurge on the calories. Yum!

I was an out of town traveler and went into this not expecting much. I had a hankering for a burger and thought this place may be OK for that. I was pleasantly surprised. The menu is interesting and there are many choices beyond your usual pub food. I had a hard time choosing .I ended up ordering a burger just because I had my heart set on that on the way in but I could have ordered any number of things off the menu. It was one of the best burgers I've ever had. The owner, Chris, was welcoming and clearly takes pride in the restaurant. the wait staff is appropriately attentive... there when you need them, leave you alone when you are eating. I highly recommend Marlow's Tavern for a great bite.

I have been to this location and I absolutely love it! Great good, service, and people. It's interesting that as I read some of the reviews, as expected, there were some not so good reviews but one in particular stood out! In response to that particular one, no one has displayed ANY kind of racist behavior... Everyone's very kind and friendly and very helpful. There is not a hostess stand so the employees grab you as they can when you walk in the door! I work in the service industry and at no point is it ok for one guest to ask another guest to move out of their current seat to accommodate them and their larger party as if they're more important... Unfortunately, reviews like this leave a lasting impression on others, but the fact that you have nothing nice to say about any restaurant in the complex might mean that it's not the restaurants that are not accommodating and nice, if you get my drift... Sometimes we have to evaluate what we may be doing to get the same results... Overall this a local tavern where people will remember you and welcome you! Definitely go and form your own opinion!

This place has a great atmosphere and great food. We came here on a Friday night for dinner. Having just opened, the restaurant was pretty crowded but the host staff was great in checking in on us as we waited for a table. Even though it was cold out we got to sit out on the heated patio, which was really nice. The bar area has a cool layout, with cutout windows that let you see through the whole place. I got a burger (delicious!) and they were running some great drink specials, which I think everyone can appreciate on a Friday night! I'd definitely come here again.

This is located in the new Emory Point complex which is very nice. I have visited the bar on four occasions and the service has been great. The takeout service is good, but seemed to take some time. The salads and sandwiches are very good and are moderately priced. Parking is free in the decks for 2-3 hours. There are a lot of options for dining and drinking in this complex. I look forward to the opening of the outside patio.

Went twice for happy hour and have enjoyed it! Hummus and the lobster dip were delicious! The drinks are a bit overpriced for what they are but they seem to have daily specials. Turkey burger, flatbreads, and steak salad are amazing! Outside is great but no pets allowed which stinks!

The service was top notch. Attentive wait staff and managers. We never had to search for our waitress (aka The Bermuda Triangle effect). Everyone in my family enjoyed their food. Very tasty burgers and fries, and the kettle chips with Gorgonzola were excellent. As was my daughter's salad. We will be back!

my family and i love this place, accept we usually have to wait to get seated bc its always packed! my aunt says the burger is delicious... i have only ever eaten the steak salad but that is something that i get at a lot of restaurants, and this is one of the best (if not the best...) can tell it is a high grade cut of meat and super fresh lettuce!! all around fun place-- great atmosphere if ur watching sports bc there are a lot of well-placed tvs!

Best food and Best service in Emory area period..

Warning to fellow beer drinkers. Thought their menu has a specific section for "in bottle" -- the beers listed as "local and craft" are also in bottles. Very disappointing.

Over-priced! Poor value! They sell a $15 cheeseburger. I've tried it three times. One time, it was excellent, but two times it was an over-priced, bar burger. I can taste the difference between a $10 burger and a $5 burger and neither tastes as good as a $15 burger. I think someone slipped me a double slider instead of the premium, mouth watering ground steak the menu brags about. In fact, I think I heard the waitress say, "You should never have tried to slip him the double slider." Golden Corral is better than this place.

I don't know what it is about the restaurants at Emory Point, but the service at nearly every single one of them I've tried so far, which include Marlow's (by far the worst), Tin Lizzy's, La Tagiatella, and Which Which is a TERRIBLE JOKE I have been to other Marlow's before, and the one at Emory Point probably 5 times. Every single time I have gone, the service is non-existent. Every time I have walked in, there is an empty hostess stand. You have to wait a minute or two to even get recognized. Once you are finally seated, you will be lucky to get a server within 10 minutes of being there. Then you play the waiting/flagging down game to get a refill/order/get a check. The one time we finally got a decent server, who was cracking jokes with us, the obviously racist manager walked outside and pointed at him and said, "Is this man bothering you?" "Um...no sir, we're fine." Then the manager scalds our server and sends him on his way. Thanks dude. If you plan on having a group, look elsewhere. We called ahead a day before to "reserve" a table outside for about 15 people. They said "we don't take reservations but we'll do our best to accommodate you." Next day we walk in while it was still fairly empty before the dinner rush. We specifically said we would like a table outside, on one of the long bench tables they have. We get there to see an old man by himself at one of the long tables (the others were already occupied). They said they have nowhere outside for us to sit. So being a server/in customer service in the past, I walked up to the man sitting there by himself and politely asked him if he would move to another table outside since he only has a party of 4, and we have 15+. He did not mind at all and even agreed to it once his party arrived. As I'm walking inside, the manager on duty at the time (young metro looking guy, not the old racist manager) came up to me and said "EXCUSE ME SIR, DID YOU ASK THAT MAN TO MOVE?!" To which I replied, "Uhh yeah, he was totally okay with it." "UMM, THAT IS NOT COOL" said the manager. At that point I was so disgusted with the place, I stormed off. Do NOT expect any service at all when you come here. The food is good, but the horrible service and rude/racist management completely overshadow any possible quenching of your taste buds.
