last Sunday i was craving for some italian food and my friend Liz brought me to Maggiano's. it was maybe 9pm and we had a very nice and sweet young lady as a server, i forgot her name though. the mushroom ravioli was excellent and so as the eggplant pasta. i also had a glass of pomegranate martini kinda drink. over all it was delicious!! oh and the creme brulee was so yummy.

Maggiano's at every location that I have been to are consistent in service and quality. As someone with allergies, I love that the server always asks about allergies before we order so they can advise us as to issue or the cook as to special needs. The food is always HUGE. I seem to forget each time I visit and then promply remember about the time that our food shows up. Honestly, the child portions are plenty for an adult serving. Some of the food I love: Calamari, flatbread pizza, lobster carbonara (enough for a family of 4!), lasagna, chicken picatta, tiramisu. I am not so crazy about the caesar salad. The parmesan comes out in thick slices that are hard in the mouth. But overall, this place is a great value.

I made reservations before coming here. I was about 8-10 mins early for my reservation when I came and kindly told me I would be seated closer to that time. They handed me a buzzer but they just called out my name so the buzzer was pointless. The atmosphere is romantic and the tablecloth is that red and white pattern to give it an italian feel. Not many lights and some framed pictures. Our waiter was very nice and service was great. They have a deal where you get an appetizer, 2 classic pastas, 2 classic pastas to take home, and a dessert for 39.95 I believe was the price. Was really not too bad. I haven't tried the ones I've taken home yet but dinner was nice. Now, the thing is there is Cheesecake factory and P.F changs right next to each other. Parking is hard to find.

*** If you are a Matrix fan... Ask to be seated at Kirsten's table. She is absolutely wonderful. She is like talking to the Oracle. Also the best service we have ever recieved. We did the family style. Everything was perfect. Thanks.

I have always enjoyed the food at Maggiano's, but the service at this location is S-L-O-W... like, painfully slow. Friendly, but slow.

been there many times at this location and others and it was always ok to good. I'm not sure what changed but this time I had one of the best Italian meals I have ever had. I was out for business so we were not really drinking (just soda). We sat outside which was empty but very nice. we started with two salads, Caesar and the Chopped. The Chopped was unbelievable, I could have made that my meal. I ordered the Chicken Saltimbocca which was great and the others ordered different versions of pasta which were all very large and left everyone happy. A shame we were staying at a hotel as there were plenty extras to take home. Looking forward to going back soon PS- excellent service as well. The comped the salads as they claimed they were late but we didn't even notice.

Excellent! My girlfriend's parents took us here while visiting Atlanta. It was great! We were quickly able to get a nice table at the bar and our server was amazing! He had just the right amount of wit and was very attentive. We opted for the $40 for two deal, which includes and appetizer, two entrees, a huge dessert and TWO MORE entrees to take home! What a deal! We got onion straws for our appetizer and the manager brought us out a free order of fried zucchini since it was our first visit, both were great! We all got lasagna for our meals in the restaurant and it was excellent, a heaping portion! For dessert my girlfriend and I got creme brulee, not the best I've had, but still quite good. All in all we had a great time here with great service and good food for the price! Will certainly be back again!

Girls night out was a blast there. A couple of my girlfriends and I have been trying different places with tiramisu and this place has the biggest piece I've ever had before. The food and service was great but the tiramisu was to die for.

I couldn't decide whether to give 3 or 4 stars. It definitely falls in the 3.5 star range. I went for lunch and had the classic American dish: spaghetti with meat sauce. It was pretty good. I paid $9 for it though. I don't know if it was worth $9. It tasted good, but it could have come from Prego. I'm not saying it sucked. I love Prego sauce, and this is what it tasted like. In other words, I could cook this dish at home for much cheaper. I would try their other dishes, and they looked yummy. But they were out of my budget for a lunch dish. If I just stopped there, I would have given this place 4 stars. But our service was slow. I could understand it if they were busy, but they weren't packed. The service was slow and steady. Maybe they were going for the true European feel. I didn't like their free bread that much. Oh well. In conclusion, their spaghetti was good, it's slightly overpriced, and the service was slow. 3.5 stars.

This review is on the total experience of the Cumberland location of Maggiano's, not just the food. Having used the Cumberland location for take out on at least five occasions now, I needed to comment on it. The process for their take-out orders is ridiculous; taking up to 15 minutes after you arrive to get your order. There is usually only one poor guy who is tasked with getting everything from the kitchen, packaging it up, getting it back to the takeout area & ringing you up! Additionally, twice we have arrived with a reservation only to be told that it would be at least a half-hour past our reservation time till a table would be available. We have no problem waiting 10 minutes or so, but at least a half-hour? We headed over to Ted's next door both times ... The food is good, however I think I'll pass on using this location in the future.

Maggianos Cumberland.....very crowded, significant wait, or this becomes five stars. I know, u cant ding them because they are POPULAR right, but geez.....maybe its time to give a time limit to the tables........... I stepped out of my red sauce/seafood comfort zone and truly enjoyed the Chianti Braised Beef............Steak was cooked perfect, every thing blended just right. Became two meals for the price of one....because even a man of my size/appetite would be HURTIN to try to take this out in one meal. The Apple Crostada is sin personified......so delicious.......

Went here for Mother's Day lunch. Had a reservation and was seated immediately. I requested a booth in my reservation and got it. Food was served quickly and was great. We got take home entrees too as part of our dinner. Portions are huge.

Maggiano's falls in the category of a pretty consistently good chain restaurant- it was my first time going to this location at the Cumberland Mall (I've only been to the Boston location previously). My friend and I ordered off a 3 course prix fixe menu for $20 per person- I got the chopped salad (delish), Chicken Romano (huge portion, great chicken, underseasoned pasta), and the best part- 4 mini desserts that came in little espresso cups (tiramisu, strawberry cheesecake, chocolate cake w/ biscotti, apple crostini). Also not to be missed, the mozzarella marinara- a slab of fried cheese w/ tomato sauce- how can it not be good? Of the really bad Italian food I've had here in Atlanta, this was pretty good and not just by comparison! Great value too.

I visited Maggiano's because my co-workers raved about their food. Unfortunately in the end I was a little disappointed. I had a nice time talking with the service staff. The food, however, barely made the cut to 3 stars. The fritters were overly salted while the sausage was bland. The kithcen just couldn't get the balance right.

Outstanding again!! Went on my birthday with the family. Our service was excellent! Ordered my favorite the Eggplant. Great as usual. They never miss on this dish. The great taste was just one thing that excited us this evening. To our surprise Maggiano's has this special where in addition to your main entree you are able to order an additional entree as a take home at no additional cost. That blew our minds so all order take home entrees. What value!! We will be going back sooner than not!

(Visited: 8/12/2011) Hello My Dear Readers, Everytime, I visit Maggiano's I go for the seafood pasta: The Linguine Di Mare ... TOTAL HIT!!! I always request a corner booth... FOOD ORGASM GUARANTEE!!! Every moan, groan, song comes from within. I love this dish! The bread: FRESH! The salad: AMAZZING! I always top my meal with a peach martini or peach bellini ( if that is how you spell it).;0) Totally delicioso!!!! This meal is very heavy leaving you with leftovers most definitely (unless you are a BIG eater). Maggiano's is an intimate restaurant giving families a place to celebrate love, birthdays, graduations and more... I am totally faithful to MAGGIANO'S as my Italian feast hot spot! The temperature of the food, the ambiance, customer service, and bar service is a 100 percent SATISFACTION GUARANTEED! Bon' Appetit, Ms. FO

Good food. Great service. It's hard to find good Italian food in Atlanta and Maggiano's is one of the few. It's a little on the pricy side, but still worth it.

What a great deal. $12.95 for two meals, one here and one to go. If you are looking for family style Italian then this is the place. Always great food and good service. Lasagna, stuffed mushrooms, ravioli, and everything else you can think. I have enjoyed a lot of different meals here and now while typing thinking of going now for lunch. Great for groups or a date night for two. Make sure you call ahead as they get very busy on weekend nights. I hope you enjoy the food as much as I do.

I forget who's review i was reading when they spoke about a 12.95 pasta lunch when you eat one and take one home. yes sir!! pasta is my most fav dish. i am rarely on this side of town. we had the best waiter. i forget his name though. i should really work on writing my reviews the same day i dine. they have about 5 or 6 pasta selections: spaghetti, spaghetti and meatballs, gnocchi, alfredo, baked zitti and something else. the baked zitti was actually a great size serving. very tasty and plentiful. it was kind o f dry, b/c it's already cooked, they are only re-heating it. which I hate the thought of. When i think of Maggiano's I always think of the family style dinner. I love the selection for the dinner. great date place, great food, expensive, great event place.

Went here for my 3 year anniversary with the woman. And we both loved it! We made a reservation so I am not sure about waiting and all, but they honored our reservation perfectly. We got there and we were seated about 5 minutes within our reservation time. They seemed very organized and this was a huge plus. Service was great! The waiter was very nice and helpful when we were deciding what to eat. We got complimentary bread and olive oil which was delicious. The presentation was great and very nice. They do not seem to short on anything, very classy. The half portion was plenty for one person. I would recommend getting that size, the half was plenty for me and I had leftovers. The environment is very classy and nice. Not too loud but not dead quiet, we could both just enjoy each others company. Overall: Food was excellent, service was great, environment was splendid, and the price was awesome too. It is the complete deal. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone. And it is not only a formal dress attire place, but also casual (which surprised me but seemed to be okay there too). Go here, you will not regret it.

Everyone knows Maggiano's has AMAZING food...and their food was amazing. BTW...this is about my 10+ time visiting this location. We visited on St. Patty's Day this weekend. It wasn't any more crowded than it ever has been. We were seated right away, but when the waitress came over, she was just "saying hi" and would be back to get our drink orders. She never came back. About 15-20 minutes later, her "assistant" came over to get our drink orders. In fear they might not come back, my elderly mother wanted to just go ahead n place the order. Her assistant said that was fine...no problem. Our waitress came back and pretty much bitched us out for placing our full order. I tried to explain the situation and asked her to be sure the food didn't come out all together at the same time. She was fine with that, but treated us bad the entire time. We came in at 1:30...we didn't leave the restaurant until 4:00. There were only three of us...no alcoholic drinks, no speacial requests...it took that long to get our food from appetizer, to salad, to entree to dessert. Unfreakin believable...besides the fact she was rude the entire time. Now the food...oh the food...it was good. We ordered the Fried Cheese and Chopped Salad. Some of my favorite things. Then my boyfriend got the special sandwich, which was Italian Beef on Focacia...it was amazing. I ordered the Rustic Chicken/Shrimp. It was good, really good, but not as good as some other things I've ordered. Believe me, that's not a complaint just that I didn't enjoy it as much as some other things I've ordered there. My mother ordered her usual pasta dish. When they finally allowed us to order dessert (took over 30 minutes just to get them to come back and take our order), we ordered Nana's pound cake and two individual desserts. Everyone at the table said the pound cake wasn't as good as it normally is. The bananas were too big and the cake was much drier than normal. Whoever made it didn't care about what they were doing and it wasn't as good as normal. All in all, I'll surely go back to Maggiano's...I'm just not sure I'll go back to THIS one. Read the reviews and look at ALL the complaints on service...and it's only become that way recently. I've never had bad service at this restaurant...until this time. I could have given them tons of great reviews...but I wasn't a yelper then. NOW...this service SUCKS BAD! If you're craving Magianno's and this is the one closest to you, you'll probably go, but if you can go to a better one, do it. This one seems to have quit caring about it's customers now.

Calamari was done to perfection. Mussels - leave them in Tuscany; you are better off going to Carraba's on this one. Bowtie Aglio was good tasting but cold. Tomato Caprese ws good. Creme Brulle' was delicious but don't be fooled by the "fruit" description. We got 3/4 of a strawberry cut into three pieces. Service was okay; we had to call the waiter over nearly every time we need/wanted something. He never checked to see how we were doing. Overall, I prefer Carabba's.

Nice place but EXPENSIVE! I'll stick with "Olive Garden" lol! or "Nancy's Pizza" for Italian! But, the food was good though, but just a little out of my price range for a date! Thank god I had a $25 Gift Certificate! My total was damn near $50! But, It was a NICE place, EXCELLENT service and good food!

  • Jason D.

Great service. The food's great, and yes, I hate chains just like most people have become. My wife and I split a chicken parmesan, with a side of fettuccine alfredo, and it's just right. And it's only about $31 for both of us. The service last night was a little slow, but they're usually on top of their game.

    (4)
  • Terry S.

For the price, if I were having a special event, I'd look elsewhere first. Food was great, but the lighting is turned down way too low, and it was so loud that it was difficult to have a conversation with my soft-spoken wife. I'll go back eventually, but not anytime soon.

  • Nick B.

The food is always excellent. The service is great as well. My favorite Italian. The tomorrow too promotion is fantastic where for $12.95 you get a second full size pasta to take home. I have never been disappointed here. Each serving of pasta is like two servings at other restaurants.

    (5)
  • Joey T.

Went there for lunch, which may have been a mistake since we ate so much that we didn't eat any dinner. The service was top notch, maybe due to it being slow and lunch, which was a great way to start the meal. It was the first meal in Atlanta after a long day of travel, so it was nice to be greeted in a kind manner. We mistakenly order the Calamari and some stuffed mushrooms along with our pasta meals. This proved to be too much food as we left half our plates unfinished and no place to store it at the time. The meals were not great, but they did suffice. I had a better tasting meal at the Maggiano's in downtown Denver, so for me it was a little disappointing. If I rated the service, it would have been 5 stars and the food 2 stars, so the total for me is 3.5 stars.

    (3)
  • Darren H.

Hmmm, what's better a "lot" of food or "good food"? my cat would choose the first but I know better & would choose the second. Maggiano's does it's thing by loading you down with a ton of food. I guess to overwhelm you into thinking this is a great place. Now don't get me wrong the place "looks wise" is pretty but the food and the price that you pay for said food isn't . I decided to go prior to Christmas so the place was packed, I saw quite a few people from out of town so maybe they didn't know better. but this is one of those places that has a lot of hype but not much delivery.

I'm always a fan of a good Maggiano's dinner. I had my usuals tonight- the chopped salad and Rigatoni D's. Always flavorful, not too heavy, delicious. This was the first time I saw the buy one- take one home offer- which is awesome! The classic pastas are only $12.95 for two. Our waitress was very helpful and friendly, and we received great service. Never a disappointment here.

not a bad chain location of course you get OVERSIZED portions, extra cheese on everything, genericness out the wazoo but for some ppl including me sometimes that's cool I don't hate it / I don't love it but I shall return....

Bread & oil .. Balsamic glaze .. Pasta for there and to go ! Nice wine list, I saw some really exotic choices. The waitstaff seems busy and has a really cute waitress. Brandon took care of us and he was relaxed and professional. The bar made me a real strong Ciroc and pineapple , faded... Oh and with dinner I chose the Nobilo sauvignon blanc. P.S. Alfredo anything is not going to be full of flavor , it's just Alfredo people !

We went there on Friday noon. Many people had lunch, and the dishes came a little late. We ordered pasta, but it tasted very hard. The bread served before lunch was just ok......

Went here for lunch yesterday with a few friends. We got seated immediately (I think, since I dropped everyone off and looked for a parking spot, which is hellacious around lunch time apparently). Their bread is really good here. We started w/ an appetizer of Calamari, which was really good... I just don't like when they have both the rings & the mini-baby-squid looking things mixed together, but that's just me! lol I had the chicken parm sandwich, as did my husband. I love the potato chips that they serve with the sandwich cuz they're really crunchy and sprinkled with cheese! The sandwich was pretty good... I could do without the tomatoes on it, but other than that is was pretty tasty. What really gets me, is how much restaurants make off of their fountain soda!! $2.75 for a soda?!?!? Seriously?!? Anyways.. the food is good, the atmosphere is good, but I think it may be a little overpriced. All in all, it was a 3 star experience.

  • Sebastien G.

The food is beyond excellent but I had to give it two stars because we were overcharged and they were very apathetic about it. I brought my large family there and (my fault!) did not look at the itemized bill before I threw my credit card down. The next day I was cleaning out my purse and happened to look at and notice we got charged for 4 desserts and 2 Sambucas we did not have! I called the store and the manager was very blase about it. She offered to charge it back to my credit card or give me a gift card. No offer of anything else for my trouble and they only refunded the exact amount of the items, did not include the tax which would have been about $7 more dollars. I love the veal parmigian and the fried zucchini is the bomb but I will never go back to this location! Make sure you check your itemized bill before you pay!!!

    (2)
  • Zulma N.

hostess did not welcome us; did not smile and did not say the customary "enjoy your meal". waitress was too busy, dropped off items on the table passing by with barely any time for us to say "thank you" or ask for something else. service was cold and rushed.

Good meal. We stuck to the more traditional Italian meals with a lasagna, spaghetti w/ meatball and ravioli which were all good. I've tried a few of their other menu items in the past, but I can't justify spending twice as much money for an entree that isn't as good. Great service - there was a large table next to us, but our server ensured that we were still taken care of.

We decided to give the Cumberland location one more chance for my birthday dinner recently. We made reservations for 6:30 on a Friday evening. We arrived right on time, and the hostess asked us to stand by the curtain and we would be seated shortly. Well, there were already about 10 people by the curtain, so we stood across the room as to not block the entrance to the restaurant. I mean, we had reservations, so surely they would just call our name, right? WRONG. It turns out that they were putting everyone into a line at the curtain to be seated, both those with and without reservations! Needless to say, 2 couples who came in AFTER US and people without reservations were seated prior to us. UGH!! I cannot explain how disgusted I was at this point. My boyfriend is usually the calmer of the two of us, but he was getting agitated and talking about complaining to a manager. We decided to see how the service went after we were seated... being the reasonable people we are. Luckily, we were pleasantly surprised. I wish I could remember our server's name, because he was great and he totally made up for the bad start to our evening. The food came out in a timely manner, not too fast, and he checked on us for drink refills many times, and even brought me a giant bowl of crushed red pepper (my favorite)! I also appreciated that we were not rushed out even though we did not get dessert. Apparently they are running a promotion where if you order from the "classic pasta" section of the menu, you get an entire 2nd dish to take home. He asked whether I would like the same dish or something different, and brought it out to me. We left him a huge tip because he had really made the difference in how our evening went. Because of that server, I think we may go back again, if we can't make it to Buckhead.

AWESOME service from Daniel! He was terrific from start to finish. He honored our gluten free request, split our to go dishes out of sheer want and cared for our every need. I'm in the service industry and haven't had such amazing service like this in a VERY long time! And the new chef has a terrific personality and is very accommodating as well. Stellar, stellar experience! I usually go to buckhead to fill my magg craving but I've switched over! Cumberland is my new spot!

We attended with a large group (18) for a birthday party. We had not made reservations, and were fine with the 2.5 hour wait. (We've all worked in restaurants, we know how it is!) When we were finally called, however, they had decided to split our party into two groups on separate sides of the restaurant without checking with us. When we explained that we did not want to split up, and advised them that they should have asked us before they made that kind of decision, management got involved and was less than courteous. We waited a while longer and they were able to get us seated, but I overheard management complaining with one of the hostess' about our party as we were being seated! (big no no!) The servers who finally took care of us were amazing--Lou was one of them and was GREAT! but the lack of communication between the hostess, the mediocre food, and especially the poor customer care from management, made this first time dining experience for me and others of the party, our last.

OK, just a glorified Applebee's for Italian food. First of all, the small and only restrooms were out of paper which is a no-no for a place with a capacity of 600+ people. Service was not bad, but too slow considering how few of us were sitting in the bar dining room. The bread brought to us was lukewarm, butter should be provided for those prices, and when we asked for it, we received waaay too much butter for 3 people. Food was just OK - Calamari: tasty, but of similar quality to good bar calamari Baked ziti w/ italian sausage: Nothing better than what you could get at olive garden's or 3.50 pizza/pasta joint. Beef Cannelloni: Basically tasted like beef stroganoff (seriously, same kind of sauce) NO taste of asiago or cheese! too expensive for what you get. Mojoito was good. I was served a miller lite instead of stella and had to send it back (seriously, some folks think we just cant tell the difference) All in all, go here if you are with a bunch of people/kids and are tired of going to olive garden. Authentically mediocre and American!

Family loves to go here so for my daughter's birthday the choice was obvious. As usual we loved the food and there was plenty of it. However, the hostess first tried to seat us at a table crowded by four overflowing tables. Even the people at the tables commented on how no one could sit there. So we asked to be moved. Even though there were open tables and booths we were seated at the bar. Even though our server tried he was stretched too far. Thus we were there three hours for our meal. Ridiculous! Have to count off for service.

This experience was AWESOME! We went to Maggiano's to celebrate my bornday and my twin sister's bornday. There was a total of six in our party, so I decided to make a reservation and ensure we had seating upon arrival. When we arived, we were seated within three minutes and the waitress, Brittany, came over in two minutes. Now, the waitress was very mild, and mellow. She totally meshed with our family. We had a few family entrees and the food came out in record timing. Everything was really good and there weren't any complaints from anyone at the table. All in all a great evening of well-spent family time. Glad we stepped away from our normal outings, to try somewhere we hadn't been before.

Delicious food! Awesome carry-out! Food: This is my favorite place to grab lunch. $9.95 for a half sandwich, side salad and wedge fries. The Italian Grilled Cheese & Ham with the chopped salad is absolutely delicious! The sandwich had so much cheese on it. The chopped salad is a meal in itself. Crispy Prosciutto, Tomatoes, Blue Cheese, Avocado on chopped iceberg lettuce . One of the tastiest salads I have ever had. I've had the Chicken & Ricotta Meatball sandwich too. Smoked Mozzarella, Arugula, Diavolo Sauce, Sicilian Roll. The meatballs didn't have much flavor. It could have used more sauce and arugula. I'll stick with the grilled cheese. Carry-out: Person who takes the call is super fast. They have two dedicated parking spaces close to entry. The carryout has a separate entrance. Breeze in breeze out. This place will be a favorite in my lunch rotation!

I definitely have to update my review and I'm doing it while I'm still here! Completely different experience since the one I had 7 years ago. The review was written in 2009 but it was actually 2007 that I came. When we first arrived we decided to sit at the bar due to the wait. It took someone a while to assist us so I had to get someone's attention which just happen to be the manager. He sincerely apologized and offered us an appetizer on the house. This was the very first sign that my review was going to change for the better! Our server overheard me say I had a food allergy while she was doing something completely different and made sure someone came out to specially take my order. This was the 2nd sign that my review would be updated for the better! This server who came to take my order also recommended a really good idea so that I could get both items I wanted together as a dish and it worked out great! I had the Chicken Marsala and Fettuccine Alfredo. It went excellent together! The stuffed mushrooms were our appetizer and they were great too! I'm stuffed now and so happy I returned after 7 years. Way to go Maggianos!

It has been a while since I've visited a Maggiano's. Their standard for really good service remains. I was surprised to find the "family style" dining thing has changed. You can still do that, but the menu is geared to more individual choices. And the food remains solidly good. My marsala was predictable (and that's a good thing). Tiramisu was a good way to cap off a meal. I'm glad I only took a spoonful or two of it off a shared plate of the delicious stuff. So, overall, reliably good. I'll happily return. Holler if you're coming with.

You'll feel the seams of your jeans tightening as you eat...but it's totally worth it! Last week I was at Maggiano's for the umpteenth time...on this occasion for my son's birthday dinner. We went to the Buckhead location but without a reservation we were facing a wait time of an hour and twenty minutes...on a Thursday. Complete nonsense when the Cumberland Mall location was only fifteen minutes away. A quick call confirmed that no reservation was required for immediate seating. Same ambiance, same menu. The highlight of the evening was when our server, Lou, came around a corner with a special surprise for our birthday boy. He was sitting with his back to the kitchen so he didn't realize what happening until Lou put the plate on the table. It was a candlelit dish of cheesecake and Vera's lemon cookies. He was elated! As always the food was delicious but it was Lou's thoughtfulness that made for a truly special experience!

If you plan on dropping by on a weekend definatly make a reservation. People rarely do I have noticed and there is always a huge wait line so this makes everything less aggravating. While I do not eat italian often every now and then I feel like going here. I do not see it as anything special though. The food is not outstanding but large portions and they do well with large groups. This time I tried their lobster pasta special. I was disappointing but not surprised it was way overdone and the lobster was tough. If you looking for someplace fancy go somewhere else if you want one step above an Olive Garden this is for you.

Crap was horrible!!! The waiter was very helpful and nice but the food was terrible! First I ordered the chicken Parmesan, the cheese was hard and the chicken was crispy, next I ordered the chicken Alfredo that chicken was dry! That was my first and last time eating there!

I booked an Open Table reservation for 6:30 and arrived right on time. The lobby area was packed and the hostess was telling people that they'd be waiting 45 minutes for a table. I waited patiently for about 15 minutes and then told the hostess that I'd just as soon eat at the bar. That was the right move as I didn't have to wait another moment longer. At the bar, the bartender brought me my beer while I looked over the menu. This is higher-end Italian but still a nationwide chain. You'll find all the usual favorites here and so I was able to go with the mozzarella caprese to start. Delicious and well plated, this was nearly a meal in itself! For my main, I chose a the braised beef cannelloni. Another good choice with lots of flavor and a ton of yumminess. As well, it came with a free entree from the classic pasta menu to take home. Hello, baked ziti for lunch tomorrow! Good service and good food. My only complaint is the wait.

This place is nice, but not worth the price. They have a nice set up and outstanding service. However, the food didn't leave much of an impression. They should add some cannoli's to the menu.

Wow! If you like good Italian cooking, you must try this restaurant. The flavors are permeating with all the spices that remind you what good Italian food tastes like. Service is good. Rooms are crowded. The food is the star here. Management is very accommodating. You won't leave hungry.

Not sure what is about the particular maggianos that I've never had a great experience with. I know the food is supposed to be the same because it's a chain but this location does not do it for me. The one in buckhead just has the ambience and service that I expect and enjoy.

Classy, good service, beautiful surroundings, great menu options - this place has it all. Loved the olive oil on the table with the awesome bread basket, and the lasagna was fabulous. The parking lot was packed to capacity though, and apparently that's a nightly thing so don't be surprised.

Surprisingly had a great time here one night out on a business dinner. When I think Maggiano's (especially this one located in the Cumberland mall), I think "chain, family style, and more CHAIN". Hate chains!! But when your boss's boss picks it, you kinda have no choice. So there are we are sitting in their beautiful wine room and the meal, service and wine were all wonderful. We had...you guessed it, family style sampling of a bit of everything. I devoured the salmon and tried to stay good by only have a little of the pastas. Calamari was equally delicious. Wine was selected prior and we are slightly wine snobs so were worried about the quality but it turned out to be just right.

So since yesterday was my birthday and it was my first time at Maggianos, I was impressed! We got there, there was a 20min wait which was not bad. While we waited, we headed to the bar to get some drinks. Ended up being only a 10min wait (awesome!) As soon as we sat down our waitress came to greet us. We ordered an appetizer which was delish! It was sausages in plate with diced red and yellow peppers. So good! So after a while we ordered our food. My mom ordered the tilapia plate (I think it's the only tilapia plate on the menu), my cousin and I ordered the shrimp scampi which was delicious and my aunt ordered the Rigatoni D, which was good as well. After that we got desserts. Creme brule and tiramisu were delicious! Congrats Maggianos! I'd definitely come back and I'll recommend it to everyone I know!

Maggiano's has always been a "safe" destination to take customers. The atmosphere is relaxed, the service and food are consistently good. We had the Italian sausage flatbread as a shared appetizer. It was excellent. The thin crust was just crisp enough to hold all the toppings straight. It, surprisingly paired well with the Cline Zinfandel. I was in the mood for chicken and chose the parm for the entrée. I was disappointed. The chicken was way over-cooked. The sauce, while quite savory, wasn't enough to bring the dish back to life. My bigger regret was subconsciously consuming both pieces of chicken, while engaged in a deep philosophical conversation. The Zin probably had something to do with it. Large portions, so we all skipped dessert.

So we went here with a group of ten after a long day at a conference. The wait staff was super friendly and the drinks were ok. That's where the good ended. We ordered food which came out late and not at the same time. Most of us had our dinner for 15 mins before everyone was served. Then the waiter spilled sauce all over one of the gals in our party. They did pay for the meal and dry cleaning but it wasn't good. In addition the food was not good. The tilapia was horrible. The veal was inedible. I would not go back again.

Been to Maggiano's several times, mainly due to Happy Hour for work related event seminars. It's located at the Cumberland Mall area. Maggiano's food is A-OK. I feel the food is lacking a lot of flavor. It's mostly buffet style when I go. There was one time when there were grill veggies out and when I took a bite, it was cold, like it just came out of the fridge. The staff is friendly though.

I found it rather silly that they have the price is set up to where you buy your meal now and take a second meal home. Why not just cut your prices in half and get the meal that you paid for. The food was very good, but the service was dreadfully slow. I may go back and try them again.

What happened here? I've been to Maggiano's a few times and it was really good. Tonight, my Caesar salad was bland. I tried the lasagne for the first time... was not impressed. It was bland, had very little sauce and cheese. The saving grace for this meal was the Apple Crostada and cappuccino! It never disappoints. I'm going to say this was a bad day for this location.

Enjoyed the meal for two! Came complete with salad, two main pasta meals and two pasta meals to take home. As well as desert. Lots of extra food to take home to eat later today or tomorrow. Our server's name was Lou. He was welcoming and attentive.

I used to be a big fan of this place. Not anymore. After 3 visits the service and food has really gone downhill for good. The service was inattentive and poor. No condiments with appetizers, self serve find salt and pepper from another table, wrong drinks, food looked like it was thrown carelessly on my plate like a 3 year old practicing horseshoes did it. Additionally, a waitress almost collided right into me as I was going to the restroom and gave me a dirty look and yelled "Corner!". What the??!!?? This Cumberland location is the pits! Hopefully the other locations haven't gone downhill. Prices have gone up too. I don't give it a 2nd thought paying for a good meal and good service but I have had better service at a Burger King!. I will no longer be referring or sending business to this location nor having business lunches. Save your money and go somewhere your appreciated and where they take pride in their food and presentation.

Absolute wonderful experience. If you go here you need to ask for markeas. He is a dream server. The managers here are beyond great. Two came by and checked on us during our meal. The good was outstanding. I got the chopped salad, chicken Frances's and the Apple crestada. All of these I would highly recommend. The cremebrule is also to die for.

Made a reservation for 4 on a Saturday night. (I would not recommend going without one Friday or Saturday nights) We were seated on time. The server did a great job. The dinner for 2 is a great deal and you get to take 2 entrees home. It's not the cheapest Italian restaurant but it's a beautiful restaurant and good food too! And if you sign up online you great coupons too. I used my $20 off a purchase of $50 or more last night that I got via email.

This Maggiano's location is a prime lunch time spot so this review is based on going during working lunch hours. As a result, the speed of service is a very important factor. Because we had a group of 9, a reservation was made in advance. They even called bright and early the same morning to confirm the reservation. Unfortunately when we arrived we had to wait and I am not sure why. We were seated and introduced to our server who was very friendly. She advised our group that the assistant servers were in training and I appreciated being given that information before anyone's patience ran thin. We were waiting on one person before we ordered, so we requested the servers come back a little while after we received our drink orders. The drink orders arrived quickly but they were slow on getting us our bread. Our final party did arrive and the servers were slow getting back to the table to take our orders. We placed our orders and it felt as if it took some time for our orders to come out. And when they did not everyone received their dish at the same time. Overall the food was good. I ordered the Chicken Francese which is one of my favorite Italian dishes to order and I haven't had it as good here in Atlanta as I have had in NY. And that opinion still stands. The portion size was great, three pieces of chicken with the regular portion and two with the lighter version, which I had. The sauce is the winner of the dish and it was too light. I am wondering if it was because of it being a lighter version which takes away from the awesomeness of this dish. The regular version has potatoes and the light version came with pasta. Potatoes are strange as a side for an Italian dish.......maybe it's just me. I was satisfied since I was hungry but I was not blown over by the dish. Since it was my birthday, I got a birthday desert which were some cookies and a strawberry with a candle in. That was just eh.... I mean who would not rather have some cake! Overall, all though the service was slower than what I would like for lunch, everyone was very friendly and responded to requests which can add up with a group. Everyone at the table was happy with their selections and price wise it's a good deal.

I always get the same thing hence the four stars. I haven't tried much else on the menu. There is a trick to coming here. They have been doing it for years. A small part of the menu if you order a dish you get to take a second dish of a full portion home with you for free. I either get the spaghetti with meat sauce or the lasagna. Have one there and they give me another for free to take home. Make sure for the one you take home you ask for extra sauce. Their bread with the olive oil is fantastic. I generally sit at the bar area. For me this is like dinner at mom's. As a matter of fact, mom and I eat here once a month for lunch and to chat. "Forget about it!"

I visited this restaurant recently on the recommendation of a colleague. Never heard of it before. One of the biggest restaurants I've ever been in, usually this spells mediocre, not here. The service was top notch, and for this area that is saying a lot. The food is above average and the portions are definitely family style. I had the chicken parmesan 3 big cutlets nicely fried and bathed, not so generously, in some red tomato sauce. (Ask for extra!) The bread at the table was better than good and everyone at the table (6) enjoyed what they ate. It all looked good. I think with italian the restaurant industry has broken the key. Bertucci's, Carrabba's, and now Maggianos they are all very good and very affordable! I am not a "chain" person but this one is good.Dessert was OK, wasnt at all hungry and really ordering it was silly superfluous business protocol.

Second time here and ordered the pasta dish only to learn you get two dishes, one to eat there and one to take away for mañana. The mushroom ravioli was good in taste and size. The tiramisu desert was big enough to share so I struggled eating all by myself. Nothing wasted. Service was fine. Took a little while to ask my initial order. I sat in the bar area so televisions for sport. Plenty of parking being next to a shopping mall.

Always friendly good customer service. Reasonable prices but even better I'm allowed a military discount. I've come middle of the day for lunch and late dinner around 9pm. Less of a crowd, easier to be seated within 15 mins or less. My favorite dishes: Tomato Caprese, Clam Linguine and Salmon Oscar. One of the mangers, Tim is the kindest and handsome. Always smiling. I won't lie!!

Maggiano's wasn't my first choice but it was conveniently near the hotel and the people we were meeting wanted to dine there. We were early and stopped in the bar for some beer. I have to tell you that those Heinekens were ice cold and definitely turned around my attitude about Maggiano's. So I pounded down a couple of beers and went into the dining room. So 6:30pm turned into 10pm as we talked, laughed, drank and eat our way through 30 years of catching up with each other. I had the Chicken Parmasean and though it was good. I enjoyed the Calamari appetizer as well. The service was decent too.

Went here on a Saturday night with my boyfriend. It was a spur of the moment thing because I wanted pasta. The wait time was good for a Saturday (less than 20 minutes). I always like the taylor street baked ziti so I ordered that and got the alfredo "lighter take" (because it includes chicken) to take home. The ziti was good as usual- although I asked for "light cheese portion" and got the regular portion of cheese. Haven't tried my take home alfredo yet. The service was mediocre. The bread is typically always too hard for me on the outside so I have to eat the center (like a child. Lol). My only real complaint though is that my glass that was on the table for water was dirty- with lipgloss, and fingerprint smears as well as water stains. I let the waitress know as she was about to serve my water in that glass. She bought a new glass with the water and straw already in it. Maybe its just be but I prefer to touch my own straw and put it in my water. I'm picky about stuff like that. That is the reason why I gave it 4 starts instead of 5. Otherwise I typically like Maggianos.

Just booked this Maggiano's location for my office end of the year party. A great time was had by all! Maggiano's food is always consistent (and delicious) regardless of location. Since we had a group of 65, we needed banquet room space. I worked with Bonnie Buchheit, the banquet sales manager for the Cumberland location, to put together our perfect holiday event. She was fantastic to work with - flexible in the beginning while we went back & forth with potential dates, and accommodating with our large group and changes we needed to make to the rooms in order to have space for a DJ and a dance floor. The wait staff and bartenders did an excellent job with our family-style dinner and were very friendly and tolerate of our terrible karaoke performances! I'd highly recommend that you contact Bonnie to schedule your event at Maggiano's Cumberland!

Little Maggiano's Italian Grill, is one of my wife and my favorite restaurants around the Cumberland Mall area. We really enjoy the Maggiano's salad. The flat breads are good too. If you get a classic pasta you get one also to go as well. We enjoy splitting the chicken and spinach manicotti. You better come hungry because their entrees are very large. The environment is always set at a New York style Italian restaurant with old classic New York pictures posted on the wall. They are also a part of the open table group, so, go ahead and make your reservation via open table and you can earn points as well.

Preface: This place is a chain (and attached to the mall) I think the major issue I have with these places is the quality of ingredients and the balancing of those. I had the Chicken Saltimbocca, which wasn't bad, but wasn't worth $18 either. I think the concept of this type of dish is good, but because the chicken didn't have much of a taste and the cheese, butter, and breading was heavy handed, it kind of just melted into a basically good homogeneous taste of buttery cheesey mush. If you like simple tasting food that looks complex, this is your place ...

The 2 for 1 dinner thing makes this place an awesome value. If you're here in the fall, the Grilled Pear & Gorgonzola Bruschetta is a must try, as is the Zenato Amarone.

In December of 2014 we made our first trip to the Cobb Energy Center to see Dave Koz and Friends for a holiday Jazz concert. We were so happy to find Maggiano's right across the street. That happiness quickly faded as the entire restaurant was packed, and seemingly overpacked for any known safety limit. Our drinks took 25 min to get (we were sitting in the bar area!). Our waitress was very nice and did everything she could to make our stay as nice as possible. Our meals arrived a while later and we ate and made our show time. Figuring this was a one time problem we would return with more time. Fast forward to yesterday 3/28/15. We headed to the Energy Center to see Ron White. Unfortunately we were delayed from our reservation due to Atlanta grid lock. Not Maggianos fault but once again we ended up in the bar area, the restaurant was again OVERPACKED!! Once again our drinks took 25 min to get. I could've turned around and touched the bar from my stool! The waitress this time was not in the least concerned with the quality of our visit. When our meals arrived we were not offered any pepper, grated cheese or even more water. We had people standing 5 feet from us leaning up against a wall waiting for a table watching us eat, which we did as quickly as possible and got the hell out of there. Parking was impossible to find on both trips. There are many fine Italian restaurants in and around Atlanta, Maggianos Little Italy in the Cumberland mall quite honestly is not worth the effort. The food was very good but not so good that enduring this madness will make me return again. Next time we will opt for cold subs in the car before we go into the concert. Less stress and better company. FYI this is ending up here because their website would not accept my review.

Food was delicious. Had the lighter fare chicken Marsala. All I can say is mmmm. We just got back from the Falcons, Steelers game. Got lost and walked 1.5 hours to find that damn car thought we were going to have a wait but walked in and sat right down. Our waiter was very attentive and kept our water coming. Walking makes one thirsty. All and all very good.

I have worked in a restaurant chain similar to this one. We had a reservation and we were sat right on time which I know isn't always the easiest thing to do. Our server was pretty helpful, even though I feel like we didn't see much of him. Drinks came out in a timely fashion and they were quite good. My main problem came with having our food brought to us. There seemed to be one food runner who was taking everyone's salads and entrees instead of the servers which I understand, but I also know that you are not supposed to "auction" off food. He was very abrupt in his asking where dishes went, very hard to understand, and plus, there were 5 of us so it made it even more difficult. If that is his position, then he should know where food goes on a table. That is why servers use "seat numbers" so that they can assign dishes to certain positions at the table so that food runners do not have to ask guests what they ordered. It is not a difficult system, and I expect it in a restaurant like this. I also did not get my "second pasta" when I ordered the house favorites. I waited for the server to offer it to me, which he never did. I didn't want it anyway, so I let it go. Overall, no one was impressed with the food. I wouldn't want to go here again.

I have mixed feelings about this place. The food was good, but the service was lacking. We were sat relatively quickly. Then, however, it took far too long for our server to greet us. He was not rude, but clearly was not into what he was doing. Again it too, too long for our drinks to come and for our waiter to take our dinner orders. They brought out bread shortly after our drinks. The bread was good, especially after a dip in the olive oil. The food came in a timely manner. I had ordered the veal parmesan. It is a huge serving. I am not sure how one person could finish it. It is best for family style consumption. It tasted pretty good. The meal was fine. They just have to work on the service.

My He-boo and I visited this place on one of our "date nights". The service was impeccable!!! Our waiter was so good, I almost wanted to tell him, "but you were just here". The food was so yummy and the setup is nice. It's like a family style restaurant hence the choice of tablecloths they use (they should change it) We sat in a little booth like table next to each other so it was like an intimate setting, with the candle on the table. Very nice. I'm still thinking about my meal it was so good. This place is high on my list of places to frequent again!

We had a group dinner here recently for about 40 people in a private room. Menu was prearranged and included a wide assortment of appetizers, salads, entrees and two different desserts. Having a private room was nice and we had much more food than we needed. The food is fine, very Americanized southern Italian food with lots of cheese and sauce. The bread is particularly good as is the chicken piccatta. We had an open bar as a part of our party with our own bartender which was a nice touch. One complaint - RINSE THE GLASSSES a little more - I had to change wine glasses twice due to the strong chlorine smell that overpowered the wine. I was informed by the bartender that it was not chlorine but the sanitizing rinse that they use. Glad they care about sanitation, but it left an awfully strong smell. If you like the food at BUCA, you'll like the food here - quite similar.

OK. Well I hate to do it but if I can give an honest good review for my FAVORITE spot then I have got to be honest and tell you when my FAVORITE spot has fallen well below their usual standards. I would have given them a 1 Star this time. But once we got the right orders the food was delicious as always.....So here we go: I arrived at about 11:32 for an 11:30 appointment. My friend Monica was there at 11:20 so it's okay we didn't miss the appointment. As soon as I walked in we were seated to the right of the hostess area. We were seated and already knew what we wanted. Yep the Classic Pasta deal! One you eat there and another one you get to take home. I used Open Table again, and left our FOOD ALLERGY issues in the "Special Notes" or something like that section. I always do this to inform the restaurant ahead of time that I can't have certain types of food. We again tell the lovely waitress what has already been mentioned when I made our reservations. She says okay and goes to get bread for us. About 15 minutes later she comes back and I ask her if she could bring the bread. She comes back in about 5 minutes with Tea and shortly after that a young man brings the bread. Another 10 minutes pass and there is a young man placing a bowl in front of me. I quickly say to Monica, WTF this looks like Shrimp to me???? Are they trying to kill me? As we both look at our bowls in awe because they are both so wrong that we couldn't even swap them with one another. Sooooooo the waitress comes over and we explain that I will stop breathing from just smelling the bowl that was placed in front of me. She quickly takes them both and 10-15 minutes later brings two more bowls that guess what, are still wrong! But this time we could at least switch them out and poor Monica just had to pull out what she couldn't eat. By this time I was frustrated and really didn't want to finish my meal. Luckily my Fried Zucchini was perfect. As the waitress, whom by the way was very apologetic, started to pack up our bags we had her do everything individually in order that we would not get the wrong meals. Our "To Go" meals came and I guess it was my "Test your F'ing Patience Day" because my To Go order was wrong as hell. So now I am praying that Little Baby Jesus and Big Jesus would send someone down to hold my damn mule! Another 15 minutes goes by and my To Go order comes out and it's correct. I get the check and put my card in and ask the waitress to make sure to take off the B'Day coupon. She begins to have a 2-3 minute discussion with me about she can't take if off until I am ready to pay. By this time I am well past my limit and I give her the check, I mean I literally put it in her hand about 3 times before I finally say "I AM READY take the check! And she opens it up and goes "Oh I didn't see your card in here!"......WooooooSaaaaaa. I never leave a tip on my CC and I start looking for some cash and realize I have left it at home. Now even though her service sucked azz, I understand having a bad day. And who's to say the issue was not with the kitchen instead of her. But we didn't leave a tip because neither of us had cash. If I ever go back here and see her I will leave her a double tip. HOLD UP WAIT A MINUTE.......Maybe not because when I got home my perfectly Fried Zucchini was packed without the sauce. Now what kind of sense does that make! The food did taste good as usual but there were only two of us at our table. "No Shrimp. No Marinara Sauce. No Parsley". should not end up in 5 dishes having to go back. I think we spent a good 40-60 minutes just waiting on the proper dishes. I am so freaking happy I like her azz! Happy B'Day Monica!!!!!

Maybe I just have a soft spot for Maggiano's, or maybe J and I were both too tired and semi-brain dead to come up with a different idea for Italian for our anniversary dinner. We eat out so much that it was more about spending time together - which has been limited for various reasons in the past week-ish - than going some place schmancy. Since I'm staying in the Windy Hill area (the Hyatt is awesome, y'all, so check it out if you're an out of towner needing a good spot in this area or a local doing a stay-cation!) and it was kind of late (close to 9) when we were headed to dinner, this was the easy choice. I'm not docking a star for this but our service was ... meh. She was nice enough but never told us her name and we had to flag her down for the check as she was clearly doing her closing sidework and not paying attention to us, the only table left (note: this was before closing so we were not "keeping" her which I know from being a server is highly annoying). Other than that, all was as expected from a Maggiano's. We started with salad this time and got the Maggiano's salad, a mutual fave, and were pleasantly surprised to find it now has avocado, which we both love. Unfortunately, J forgot to ask for dressing on the side when he ordered so I didn't eat any of it because I hate having the kitchen put dressing on for me as it is always too much for my liking. He enjoyed, though. We shared the chicken piccata with angel hair al olio (with oil) and were pleasantly surprised it also had a spinach garnish that was in the sauce, so it was a nice combo with the side of regular sauteed spinach we also ordered. We sat at a cozy booth rather than the bar and got to have a nice catch up after mutually long and hard days, so on the whole while it wasn't the most exciting place we could have celebrated our first year together, it was special enough to spend a little time together and just celebrate that.

We had reservations and were seated as soon as our whole party was here. For a Saturday night, it was not an exceptionally long wait for our food to come out. Most was delicious. The lighter side of ziti seemed to not have much flavor. Our server Eric took great care of us, keeping our drinks and bread baskets full, and the table clean. The restaurant manager also checked on us to make sure our food arrived correctly.

Excellent authentic Italian with very large portions. We had the dinner for two which included a side salad or appetizer, a pasta dish for each one of us and a dessert to share. The kicker here is you each get a pasta dish to take home as well. What a deal!

I love this location. I dine in and order to go and each time the service is awesome. The employee who works the To Go window is so nice and pleasant. Sometimes I order from their buy one get one to go menu and this offer can not be beat. You can only get this if you dine in, but it is still a good deal and they give you a good portion The quality in taste is much better than other Italian restaurants in the area.

The spaghetti with meat sauce and angel hair pasta was good. Nice size portions and good service.

I ate here this past week with a group of colleagues while traveling. We had reservations for 7:30 and were seated within about 10 min of our scheduled time. The menu offers a wide variety of choices, even for those who need dairy-free, gluten-free or kosher options. (We had all 3 requirements within our group.) The noise level is high, the service is so-so. Their bar-tender(s) need schooling - no one in our group received a properly mixed drink, even after providing instruction and sending them back. We ordered 5 entrees. The first came out 10 min before we saw the 2nd and 3rd entrees. It wasn't until 15 min beyond then that we saw the last 2. I would not go back...

The wait was not too bad, and once we arrived to the table, our bread and drinks were brought out immediately. Perfect for a date night because they have an awesome dinner special for two and you can bring home extra pasta! The food was excellent, our server was delightful, and I liked the cozy atmosphere.

These 4 stars are an average of scores from 4 people: 2.5, 3.0, 4.0, and 5.0. I had the salmon lemon sauce plate. It was alright. Also ordered a long island tea....was kind of watered down and taste more like a lemonade. Service was ok not great. Dishes ordered were salmon plate (2.5), chicken marinara (5.0), and a maggiano salad (4.0).

My mother-in-law and I took my husband out for a celebration on 6/14, and the experience was awesome enough to warrant a 5 star rating, as we all agreed. First of all, if you get there on a Friday night like we did, expect it to be packed and a little frantic. Our server was Tina, and despite the fast pace, our drinks stayed full and she was always pleasant and attentive. Kane got the pasta deal, which I must say is very tasty and a great deal, where he orders one pasta to eat, and Maggiano's gives him another to take home. I ordered an appetizer of jumbo lump crab cakes, and Vreeland got a fish dish, and we all had their delicious spinach dip and bread with olive oil and balsamic. Everyone had leftover except me, which was my plan. My mother-in-law ordered and asked them to leave off a gluten item and sub another in (not a gluten allergy, just as a preference), and when the food came out, the gluten was there, so we called over for someone to help. They apologized, and we go the substitution on the side, along with a direct apology from the awesome manager, Mr. Kelly Lew. He apologized again, and said that he wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay, so he ordered and covered a dessert platter for the table. All complimentary, and suuuuper tasty! We were already having a hard time deciding which o the desserts to get, and we really ended up with almost all of them in the platter. We also asked for mudslides, which are not on the menu, and they made them specially for us. I will always give 5 starts to a restaurant that goes above and beyond in customer care, service, and taste, and they get it for me!

I like Maggiano's because it is predictable and you will get a good meal, regardless of what you order. The waiter was nice enough but not terribly waiterly. I never got a refill on my water... it remained empty, and that is what i chose to drink. My friend and I shared the lasagna, had an appetizer and each a chopped salad. The lasagna had too much sauce on it for my taste, and there was too much meat for me, not enough cheese. We didn't finish the one serving. I finished my chopped salad; my friend barely had much of hers and we both usually love it. There was a huge piece of avocado in hers that was not cut up. The rest just seemed like "dressed lettuce". I will return... and not order the lasagna again.

My opinion might be bias because I loveeee Italian food. But my experience here was great!! It was a last minute lunch date, and we were told the wait will be 30mins. Turned out to only be 20 mins. After getting seating our waiter Andrew was very helpful and attentive. I had the 4 cheese ravioli, and my boyfriend had the eggplant parmesan. We also had the cesar salad as our appetizer. OMG we could not even finish our meals it was so good. Also with the deal we choose we got a second meal to go, compliments of the chief! It was full size as well not a small portion as I expected. I didn't get a chance to eat the NY cheesecake for desert but my boyfriend said it was very good. I'll be back next visit to Atlanta!!

Great food and friendly service. The decor of the restaurant appears to echo that of a nice restaurant in Italy. I hope one day I will be able to go and see for my self just how authentic Maggianos really is. You can go to much more expensive Italian places but the food at Maggianos is consistently good.

Always a favorite when we are not on a diet. We celebrated my husband's parents 60th wedding anniversary here. We reserved a room for 20 and it was beautiful really! The family style dishes were perfect to pass around. We choose a menu of appetizers and 3 entree dishes. The food is reliably delicious. We chose 2 desserts and they have the best Spumoni anywhere! The service was excellent and the food manager was checking in on us frequently. They were timely and prepared with the different courses. It made for a lovely family reunion and his parents were delighted and felt very special. This was a great idea for a special family event. Much better than being in the main room. Our conversation was easily heard across the table.

Pasta di mare was excellent. Heaping helpings of mussels shrimp lobster and clams. The bread wad also a winner, I rarely go for Italian but I will defintely go back here and get the same thing. My meal alone was $25 but I would consider that price to be worth it dye to the portion size and the fact that I want paying. #dontjudgeme

Visited on a Thursday night at 6 and were seated immediately...it's a chain...middle of the road...certainly a lot better than Olive Garden, but Atlanta has a number of really good small Italian places that provide a more intimate truly Italian experience...Maggiano's gives a ton of reasonable food for a reasonable price. Service was oddly spotty this time. I forgot you get a "free" meal to take with you for the next day. We did the $40 dinner for two. Think of it as 8 $5 meals b/c portions are so big...and set expectations accordingly. Our salads came out pretty quickly, and were large and looked pretty good. Unfortunately, our entrees came out literally less than 5 minutes after our salads, so the salads pretty much went uneaten. And we were in no shape for a dessert after the entrees, so a piece of cake the size of a human head went home with us. Quality suffers a bit for quantity. I've never understood that method but the obesity epidemic explains it pretty well. Service was subpar. When seated, we ordered "water...for now" but a drink menu was never brought and we were never asked, nor had the opportunity to ask, for drinks, since we rarely saw the waitress. The food was good, but we ordered plainly...lasagna, spaghetti...it's hard to mess that up. Would like to go back and try something else. We took home a bag full of food that could feed a family of 4 for a couple of days. So there's that. But after flying through drinks, salad, and receiving entrees in about 10 minutes, we were neglected for about 45 minutes. Maybe they were having a rough night.

It's the day after Valentine's Day. Folks still celebrating love. Restaurants throughout the city of Atlanta are packed. I needed a specific time around 6pm to eat. OpenTable had no decent to good restaurants available at that time. I kept looking and at 6:02pm a table opened up on the opentable app ( I guess someone canceled their reservations) for 6:15pm at Maggiano's. I booked it....got there at 6:15 on the dot. We were seated immediately, no wait while there were a lot of others waiting. The service and food was what's to be expected from Maggiano's which is always basically good.. I just wanted to share my experience because I dislike waiting and thanks to Maggianos for being a part of opentable.

Food is about 4 in quality and presentation. Service is attentive and about a 4. Atmosphere a 3, it is too loud and cramped.

PORTIONS ARE HUGE! :) and you get a second order to take home. spaghetti and meatball with meat sauce is DELICIOUS! noodles are prepared when you order it so feel free to customize your order. the tables aren't "cleaned" that well...I saw and felt some bread crumbs and spots of cheese. they said that my wait was 30 minutes so I took a stroll over to the mall next store and wound up getting a text from the restaurant saying that our table was ready. so in reality my wait was about 15 minutes.

Normally I love Maggianos! Tonight we had an incredible meal and enjoyed the service we had during the meal. Everything from the time we were seated until we left was worthy of 5 stars! Now, my reason for only 1 star. Tonight we arrived at around 8:00 pm we registered for seating and were given a buzzer to let us know when to be seated. One of the ladies at the front desk was a little rude from the beginning. She stated we would wait 30-45 minutes. By the way we expected to wait at least an hour. We watched several people come in after us. As we waited, it seemed several people who came in after us were seated before us. Finally our buzzer went off and we walked up to the desk, the same rude young lady says, oh well it didn't mean we were ready, it means your up next! After this she takes another family who I heard register when they came in after us back to be seated before us. When this happened I approached her and asked why, she insisted that the people had a reservation which I HEARD them when they come in register without saying anything about a registration. She insisted that the buzzer only goes off to make people aware that they are almost ready to be seated. I knew this was a lie and I pressed her again telling her I didn't feel like she was being honest. Finally while I was telling her this the nice lady next to her who was a hostess as well speaks up and says, yes, she is lying to you! (Thank God for the Honest people)! I never like to feel like things are out of racism but this is one time I truly felt I was treated unfairly because of the color my skin! SInce all the other people were of different color than me and the same as the hostess...I cant help to at least think it was this cause. Racism is ugly and should never be included in our hearts as human beings.

Nice place. I like the ambiance. Our waiter seemed snippy at first, but once he chilled out we all got along swimmingly. He was there when we needed him, and away when we didn't. Perfect dinner for my boyfriend's birthday! LOVE the zucchini sticks.... Best bang for your buck is to get the family style (groups of 4 and up) option. You can eat as much as you want...order some more, then take a bite to box up for lunch the next day ;) we'll be back.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
