This is my first Yelp review. This place was so bad it motivated me to say something about it. I felt that the waiter was inauthentic because he rated any plate we mentioned as his favorite. I think I've had better microwave dinners. Do yourself and your date a favor and go to McDonald's. If you care about your relationship with your significant other press the back arrow and choose the next restaurant in the list.

THE ABSOLUTE RUDEST MANAGER- ( male ) Recently visited this location and I have food allergies. I asked that they only give me 1 vegetable in my entree. 3 vegetables come in the entree. He prepared it , never told me he was charging me an EXTRA $2.00 for the change. Ok.I am getting less food , why would he charge me $2.00 more? When I asked him why he didnt mention it before charging my credit card . he told me I was always causing trouble. I have only been here once, it was my first time. SO he racially profiling people now? Then he asked that I never return, because I questioned him about over charging me and he was angry because he OVERCHARGED me and I asked WHY... It makes you wonder why the cops surrounded his restuarant the night before , and why his place was vandalized?? Is it due to how he mistreats his customers? I won't return because there are MANY chinese restaurants in town ..and the BEST one is CHOW LEE's...glad I wont be slumming and eating at this low class in the shack pit stop again - with PLEASURE. CHOW LEE's is off Covington Hwy and Panola Road. She is a wondeful person ..I have been enjoying her food since 1987. Wonderful. She will accommodate you and amkse sure you are happy ...

Excellent food and great service. I've ordered from Hunan Inn for delivery multiple times and every single thing I've gotten has been great. Also, on their website they say they use seasalt, no MSG and no hydrogenated oils. Highly recommend!

I came here after seeing the high yelp reviews. It was a huge mistake. Because upon further review, many of the reviews appeared manufactured by restaurant management. We ordered the basil fish and the kung pao shrimp. The fish was undercooked and gooey on the inside and the shrimp just tasted nasty. Afterwards, our stomachs ached. Terrible and definitely not recommended. Hopefully, yelp removes the fake reviews.

Nah. Got a lunch special, and (a) the hot-and-sour soup was pretty sparse, (b) the spring roll was very oily, and (c) the shrimp and veg stir-fry was a little bland, with scant shrimp and somewhat limp veg. Nothing tasted terrible, and service was very friendly, but I won't be back.

Really great food yummy

I stop by here every now then when I am craving Chinese as it's not too far from my work. The lunch specials are inexpensive and each dish comes with soup, an egg roll/spring roll, and rice. The best item I have tried to date is the Mongolian Beef.

Although the food is good, prices ok you can't trust their cleaniness. when the health score is consistently low i wonder how much they care about their customers and reputation.

Funny how the restaurant staff how fake reviews on here! They are the worst and they also refused to deliver to your home if you don't GIVE THEM TIPS!! They are unclean and roaches with hair has been in the food!! SO GROSS!! They need to be shut down!!

It is absolutely the BEST CHINESE I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! You have to try it! Just make sure that if you have a food allergy, especially to sesame, you STRESS IT WHEN YOU ORDER!!!! My husband is highly allergic to sesame oil and seeds and has ordered the Hot and Sour Soup and had bad allergic reactions because contained sesame oil, even after we let them know of this food allergy. Besides that, it is really the best!

Emma F.
I ordered the kung pao chicken for lunch and it was below average. No peanuts, the vegetables are cut too big, it was greasy, and not spicy. The spring roll was grease as well and not memorable. My friend ordered the beef with broccoli and he had the same opinion.

Seriously delicious Mongolian Beef! Josh the out of this world massage therapist at Asendency massage recommended this place... It was awesome and the service was spectacular!

I use to enjoy this restaurant until I found little roaches in my soup. They were in those fried noodles that I put in my soup. I never went back.

Pretty busy lunch crowd, the staff seemed to know almost everyone that came in & greeted them by name. I didn't dine in but got my food to go. The food was pretty good got the sweet and sour chicken. Fast in and out with friendly service I can't complain.

I've been eating at this restaurant for over two decades and Hunan Inn has ALWAYS been my favorite Chinese restaurant. The pot stickers are legendary, the lo mein is flawless, the Mongolian beef transcends the sublime! With their incredibly consistent quality and extraordinarily friendly staff, I'm certain they will be doing well for decades to come.

Hunan Inn Chinese Restaurant, which has been serving since 1984, is tucked away in a small, easy to miss, strip off Chamblee Tucker. I have driven by this hundreds of tiny storefront hundreds of times, but I had never gone in until today. Went here for lunch, usual Chinese lunch menu including soup and an egg roll. No vegetarian soup options were offered at lunch. Their lunch menu offered "Curry Vegetables", which I ordered with no big expectation, but was definitely surprised when I loved it at first bite! This was a better curry than I have had at some of the local Thai restaurants in Atlanta, and may even rival my favorites. Service is quick, food comes up fast and HOT. Looking forward to returning and trying more.

Inconspicuous little place with a very warm interior and attentive staff. Quickly became my "definitely come back to" place.

Orange chicken great. Consistently fast and friendly service! Overall a solid choice for Asian.

NO CHOPSTICKS here. NOT an authentic Chinese restaurant. This is the first time I've been completely betrayed by Yelp. This restaurant is within a short distance of some very fine authentic Chinese restaurants, so when I saw 4.5 stars, I thought I must have been missing out on something great all these years. No such thing. Fake Chinese restaurants should be reviewed like fast-food chain restaurants. There's no justification to give any of them more than two stars because the food is synthetic, bland, and boring, and you can get the same boring tasteless thing in a million other slop-houses anywhere you go. The people who would give this restaurant four or five stars are probably also giving IHOP 5 stars for their awesome syrup. Syrup is syrup, people, and when it isn't, you won't find it at IHOP. And when Chinese food is good, you won't find it at Hunan Inn.

Cute but dark cozy restaurant. Friendly and attentive staff. My beverage was never empty. Had braised wings as an appetizer and mongolian beef and general Tso chicken as entrees. Both came with your choice of fried or white rice. Food was tasty decent portions for the price like $ 10.00 a plate. Will return again for some more yummy food.

YUMMY! I'm so lucky to be able to order delivery from this menu. The mu shu is something I dream about. The restaurant is clean and pretty. The servers are awesome and really care about their customers. Hunan Inn makes the best Chinese food I have had in Atlanta.
(5)
Mark D.
I don't live in the neighborhood, but my friend does. So every time I visit that friend I have Hunan Inn in the back of my mind. This is the best Chinese food I've had since the Hunan Gourmet in New Port Richey closed. Their cashew chicken is my favorite. Easily the best Chinese food I've had in Atlanta (so far).

Bridget T.
I would NOT recommend this restaurant. The food was mediocre at best. I ordered sweet and sour chicken. The chicken had no seasoning, and the sauce was much too sour. I also ordered massaman curry, which is my favorite curry dish. Here, it was awful. Tasted like they had made it with water rather than coconut milk. Also, the price for each dish is about $4 more than the price listed on the attached menu. Finally, the man who took my order was rude, as if he didn't care whether I ordered or not, as long as I did it quickly. Overall, a very disappointing experience. Perhaps ownership has changed?

Oh. My. Chinese food amazing-ness! There's not enough stars for this place. Good food, GREAT service, it's sooooo good! Get the crab Rangoon & spicy chicken!

The food was served super quickly. A great place to get in and out for lunch. Had the orange chicken (I don't know why more chinese restaurants don't serve it) and it was pretty good. Overall, I was satisfied and would return again.

Finally made it in. Was really good. Inside, it's a miniature, but nice typical Chinese restaurant. It's very quiet, so not the best place for loud kids, but they had a high chair and it worked out fine. Sauteed green beans were excellent, kung pao chicken also really tasty (just a touch of heat, but I'm sure they could up the chiles if you want it hotter), and some garlic shrimp that was good (your basic garlic shrimp). It came with enough bowls of white rice that we didn't have to keep asking for more. The waiter was fairly expressionless, but the main guy up front was very friendly. The shrimp was $10, the others $9. I think that these prices are par for the course. Portion sizes were pretty large. We'll definitely work it into our rotation.

This is an Americanized Chinese food restaurant, like every other chinese take-out places you have ordered from, but better. You can dine in, take it home, or have it delivered. The food is pretty good and inexpensive. The service is 5 stars, because they are really sweet and quick at making sure you are happy with everything. The place feels very warm and welcoming, a great place for families to dine at. Although traditional Chinese food is what you're looking for, being Chinese myself, I'm sure if you ask, they can make it for you.

We live in Brookhaven, but come up here when we want Chinese. That's how much we like this place! The owners are super-nice and every time we come it's like we're family coming to visit. This is the only place my husband will eat Chinese food, so there's another testament to how we feel about it. Every single time our food is just right; and not too salty, either. Anything here is good, but when the Triple Mongolian is the special, I automatically order it. There's also a really good string bean dish they serve. Sesame Beef is great, too. I could go on and on, really. And the portions are great! I always have leftovers remaining, but I'm a slow eater. I can't recommend this place enough.
(5)
Z L.
Lunch menu's not bad if you just want to stuff something down. Definitively on the acceptable side of fake Chinese food. I have to warn you though, if you don't usually eat a lot of super sweet meat dishes (aka fake chinese food), you may get a bad sugar rush/some dizziness after.

Got the pu pu tray for two, mongolian beef and sesame chicken dinner and chicken noodles. All was very, very yummy and more than enough food for four very hungry adults! I will definitely recommend this to anyone!

Our favorite Chinese Restaurant had closed and we were looking for a new place. Based on the other reviews, we thought we would give this one a shot. We were not disappointed. It was great. Service was perfect. We had several different appetizers and main dishes. The pot stickers were great. The Mongolian beef was tender and perfect. Not tough like many other places serve it. I would give it a 5 star just on the quality. Add in the factor that the price is very very good, the place is on the top of my list. You will not be sorry.

Crystal D.
it's a bit inconspicuous from the road, but worth the stop. i had my go-to favorite of general tso's chicken here. many chinese places here make it too sweet. hunan does it just right! the hot and soup soup is really good too- flavorful spicy broth! some places just don't make it spicy the right way. the only thing i suggest is for the restaurant to put tofu in it. price was average for a chinese restaurant and portions were plentiful! hunan inn is definitely one of those restaurants that, while not upscale or fancy, you come for the most important thing- the food!

This is my new spot for Chinese Food in my area. I am so glad I found this place through Yelp. Saves me from having to go to my other favorite spot on North Druid Hills. I have been here a few times and I love their chicken/beef with String Beans lunch special. I also tried the Ginger Beef which is suppose to be spicy but I did not taste much spice. As time goes on I will work my way through to other menu items, but for now I am happy with this good find.

I really don't know why this is even considered Chinese and the only reason why I even gave this place a star is because it was close to home. First, when I called in my order, the person who answered rushed me off the phone as I tried to ask Him a question. He said literally, "just give me your credit card number, I've got people here"! As if he wasn't already servicing a customer, me. I never even got to find out how much my order was! When the food arrived although it was hot, the portion sizes are an absolute joke! For a combination platter selling at $14 a piece which is outrageous already I was at least expecting a standard Styrofoam combo platter. Instead I received a portion mimicking a Kids Cuisine! Trying to make the best of it I tasted the Mongolian chicken that was rubbery and bland accompanied by a flavorless rice which was under cooked. The spring rolls were extremely greasy and bland as well. It was so bad that I was forced to return it. When my husband and I came to the restaurant, I promise you WE WERE NOT RUDE! Being in customer service I am very sensitive to workers so I politely explained to him that I didn't like it and I wanted A refund. The owner/ cashier which I now is The same person on the phone says and I quote "next time don't order because everybody likes my food!" Really?! No I apologize, can I offer you something else? No customer service+ no flavored food= no return for me and a bad yelp review!

Tried Hunan Inn because the guy at Moe's locked the door as we were about to walk in. Ordered the Mongolian Beef, pot stickers, hot and sour soup and a tsing tao (beer). Every last bit of it was delicious, and the service was excellent.

I'm really picky about the quality of Chinese food and I can tell you one thing this place repeatedly always makes great food their quality is top compared to many others I go to I never wanted to go anywhere else after I went to this one it has quality taste to it and it tastes so freshly made. I recommend this place as a nice lunch date or soemthing.

After moving to Tucker 3.5 years ago, we finally found a go-to Chinese place in Hunan Inn. I've never eaten in the restaurant, but gotten carryout and delivery numerous times. They are always fast and friendly. I often order the steamed shrimp (or tofu) with veggies and ask for a white sauce instead of a brown sauce and they are happy to accommodate. My husband does the same with the steamed chicken but asks for a kung pao sauce. I did get one of their thai soups once (I forget which) and wasn't a fan.

Delicious food and fast, efficient service. I'm just sad not to be in the delivery zone! They have a blend of Asian dishes and influences, Thai, Japanese, Chinese. The Hunan chicken was certainly Thai inspired. Funny to call it Hunan. All the food was quite enjoyable. Perfect Mongolian beef, caramelized and tender over crunch noodles. Best mu shu pork filling ever. Mostly meat, big chunks, and wonderfully seasoned. I love MS, but in most restaurants, it's mostly cabbage and has tiny chewy bits of pork. This was a different animal, and I liked it. Noodles had big sliced of smoky five spice BBQ pork. Yum. This will be in regular rotation. Cheers~

I had been on a quest to find good chinese in the area. I found Hunan Inn and I would not recommend any other Chinese restaurant in the Chamblee tucker area. I return often because the food is always good. But, I'm 20 mins away. The service is good, food is good, It is pricey.

Quite possibly the best steamed pot stickers I have ever eaten! Delicate and tender, they melt in your mouth. Chicken with vegetables, szechuan shrimp, hot and sour soup and egg drop soup all delicious.
(4)

This place is really good! I got Moo Goo Gai Pan and the veggies were soooo fresh! The spring rolls were not fried hard...they were flaky and although could have used a little more filling, were tasty! Can't get over how fresh everything tastes! Def going back!

I take back my comment about the staff being surly. My last several experiences have been quite good there.

Just so so Chinese. Nothing special. Just Americanized Chinese, and not that tasty. Foods Court at Hmart or at Great Wall market have real Chinese food that will blow your mind. Chef lius is great also.

Good stuff. Third time I have eaten here. Had the general chicken with fried rice and won ton soup. Portion is large, I took half home for dinner.

Mongolian Beef? Pheonix and Dragon? Sweet and Sour Chicken? So where's the damn HUNAN food?? How can you give 4 and 5 starts to a Hunan restaurant with no Hunan food??

What more can you ask for in a Chinese Restaurant. They are friendly, the food is great, and delivery is CRAZY FAST. They are very accommodating for order changes and alterations as well. Best place in Tucker for Chinese food hands down.
(5)
Jerrica B.
Hunan Inn won our dollar with their fast delivery and high quality meats and veggies. Their prices are abuot $1-2 more than the average place but it's ALWAYS delicious or they'll make it right. But their crab-rangoon is not very good and costs too much. Mongolian Beef, and Szechwan chicken (spicy) are our favorites. The Orange chicken was also very good (spicy), and their soups/egg rolls are also very good!
(5)
Jacquelyn M.
The staff was very nice and provided great service. Order the dinner for two for me and friend. We agreeded the mongolian beef was juicy and had flavor but it was beef flavor and not really any season. The Seasame chicken was good. But also the same. It would have been nice is there was more flaovr to the food. I will go back to the place and try it again though. It was still good.

Don't leave without asking to try the Chinese water. They have fantastic food and great service.
(5)

I agree with most of the other reviews here - although a bit pricier than most other Chinese restaurants, the food here is usually very good. (Personally I'd rather pay more for good quality) Despite what others say, I've always found the staff to be very friendly, and the portions are very generous.

Man, people giving this place high ratings must have never had real authentic Chinese food, and probably have really low standards when it comes to Asian food. Where to begin...Greasy, Americanized "Chinese" food that is way overpriced, with shameful dishes that are not even Chinese (I am Chinese-Am and I cook and eat the real deal. It is different and better by leaps and bounds). This is made to please smalltown America, and its people who apparently take great joy in eating mediocre Asian food. The lady who took my delivery order was rude, too. I told her I live about 0.5 miles away, in a popular area. and she very sternly told me I still had to tell her the address for the driver to find it. After I started telling her she cut me off and said "Oh! You live on ____!" Yes, lady, that's what I've been trying to tell you. Then they got my order wrong. I paid $25 for rice, noodles, and a small container of soup. They didn't even give me the egg rolls and instead packed a small bag full of crunchy croutons. Wow, what a waste of money. Never ordering from this disgraceful place again.

I grew up in South Florida and was born in NYC so I know from Chinese Food. I was sort of casting around lost until I located this place. The food is stellar, always hot, fresh, and delicious. They do great, REAL, seafood that the chefs enjoy experimenting with and making amazing daily specials out of. I swear I have eaten most everything on the menu, and when my family comes to visit (now living in DC from Florida where there is seriously NO decent Chinese), they demand that we go to Hunan Inn every time. I live too far for delivery but it is totally worth the trip. The owners are friendly and are always around to say hello and make sure all is cooked perfectly. Try it. You'll like it. I promise.

I'm always really skeptical about new Chinese food.. but I found thisone on delivery.com and I enjoyed it. I had the egg drop soup, which wasn't so good, sesame chicken and general tso's chicken, both were very delicius!!

My wife and I eat a lot of Chinese and we love this place. Never had a problem getting a table, exceptionally friendly staff who remember and welcome regulars, great food. You can't miss by coming here. I don't think it's expensive as some have said. I have paid more and gotten much less in the Asian district of Buford Highway.
(5)
Asia J.
Extremely disappointed at this place I thought the food was going to be way better than what it was. First of all it was way too expensive for Chinese takeout so if I'm paying that much I expect the food to be amazing. I got the tangerine chicken and it was probably the blandest thing I've ever had from a Chinese place. I had to add salt to it to make it even taste palatable. And I got shrimp lo mein too and I also had to add salt that because it was so bland. Will never order from here again

It's what you would expect. Nothing more and nothing less. Good food.

This place has been here for years! And I've eaten here multiple times. It is pretty good food but it is not worth anything near what they charge for it's pretty expensive. They do not have a soda fountain so for a coke or sprite they literally pour it out of the can, AND THEY CHARGE FOR REFILLS!!! I do not recommend the hunan Inn.
(2)
Amy K.
This is a great little Chinese joint! I always get the Tangerine Chicken, Veggie Spring Rolls, and rice. I went over this afternoon and it took them less than 10 minutes for them to take my order, get me checked out, cook my meal and get me back on the road. Their prices are great for the quality and quantity of food you get as well. I definitely recommend this place for any Chinese cuisine lovers out there!

The service is great here, the owner and the waiters recognize us and always treat us well. Its usually pretty quiet inside, unfortunately it's at a location where even though it's at an ideal spot it can be easily missed. The food is all right too, we usually get a few appetizers to go with our entrees and soup and the portions are generous and the food is cooked well.

It took an hour to get food delivered but worth it. The orange chicken was really good. Orange rind, i wouldn't describe as candied but sweer really makes this dish stand out.

I'm only giving 1 star because it could not be lower. This mainly had to do with customer service from the owner. Basically had pickup for a vegetable lo mien. After paying asked for chili hot sauce and they gave me one. Asked if I can get 2 more and the owner snapped saying that it was 1 dollar extra for the hot sauce. I looked at him strangely and said that's fine, I'll pay it and put a dollar on the counter. Then he looked at me and said, "No, 1 dollar per hot sauce. You want 2 so that's an additional dollar." I looked at him and shooked my head and said that is crazy. He yelled " That is not crazy. This is business. I have to make money" I told the owner to calm down and let me have my hot sauce while signing the receipt. Then he got my copy and threw to me in disgust. I was pretty furious at that point and left. Never in my years of being in any restaurant have I encountered such rudeness and lack of concern for the customer. This was truly disappointing for being disrespected by a person. I truly hope no one goes to this place of business. Chinese restaurants are a dime a dozen in Atlanta.

Maybe I've been spoiled by the quality of Chinese food where I'm from in the north east, but after ordering takeout from here I am wondering whether or not the positive reviewers even ate at the same place I just did. There's nothing legendary or sublime or even tasty about the experience I had from Hunan Inn. My girlfriend and I ordered food to go, I ordered the orange beef, she had chicken lo mein, and we split some pan fried dumplings. The dumplings were probably the best part of the meal, although that didn't say much. The dipping sauce was just soy sauce with sugar added. The lo mein lacked any serious flavor, and all of the chicken was covered in fat. You'd think they could have trimmed it at least? The orange beef was seriously disappointing. It was soggy, and bland, and the sauce (which was only on about half of the dish) didn't taste anything like an orange peel dish should. It lacked spice and balance, as it was just thick and sugary. Even worse, this all cost $27! That seemed over priced even for decent Chinese takeout, and this was far from that. I gave two stars instead of one because they were polite and friendly, and the food was ready quickly. Perhaps they should take more time to put out a quality product though.

the customer service is the focus of this review. My family have been loyal customers of this location since it opened. Honestly it may be the only Chinese delivery for our portion of Chamblee tucker. The food is good but the waitstaff and cashier are horrible on most days that the mom isn't there. the last time I gave them my business they were busy. I had a togo order and I was told to sit anywhere in the room off from the main dining room. I was ok with this the tv was on jeopardy. I sat down at a 4 seater table near the tv with a complimentary tea. Shortly there after a group of woman came in there were 3 but were expecting a 4th. The waiter asked me to move because they wanted the table.they didn't want to sit at another table. REALLY?? I moved and the ladies laughed . their fourth never showed up in the additional 15 minutes I waited for my order. I spoke to the cashier about the issue and she pretended she didn't undersand what I was upset about. NEEDLESS TO SAY YOU WILL NEVER DELIVER TO MY FAMILY AGAIN. Treat people the way you want to be treated. Cater to every person who spends money with you like they are the most important customer of the day.

This is a standard Chinese restaurant serving all your typical Chinese dishes in addition to having great friendly customer service. I dined here for lunch and was pleased to see they had a special lunch menu (even on Sunday) that includes fried rice, soup, and a spring roll. I ordered the green shrimp curry which was slightly different than I have had at Thai restaurants but still had good flavor. The recipe included potatoes which was interesting. My boyfriend ordered the Mongolian beef which was excellent and I would highly recommend trying this. The food came out very quick too! If you're in the mood for Chinese then you should check Hunan Inn out!

We have lived in the neighborhood for 35 years. This is another restaurant where we have eaten since it was first opened by an electrical engineer and his wife. As happens, it has changed hands and quality through the changes. We used to eat in the restaurant when our family was younger -- now we use it mostly for take out or delivery. Happily, the quality of the food is back on an upswing. Their steamed dumplings have a delightful amount of ginger, the hot and sour soup is back to delicious, and the seaweed salad crispy tart.

M B.
I am sure they have some dishes that are delightful.. or at least I hope so.. but the ones we ordered were not! Please think twice about ordering the Massaman curry. IT is NOT your traditional curry dish. Check twice on the prices because the prices of items have increased and are not updated. You may also want to call and just remind them to check your order prior to delivering them so that they do not forget anything. We will not be ordering again only because there are many other places to choose from which we feel more comfortable spending our hard earned money at.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

(5)Sami A.
(1)Zain K.
(2)Kevin R.
Really great food yummy
(5)Kamil B.
I stop by here every now then when I am craving Chinese as it's not too far from my work. The lunch specials are inexpensive and each dish comes with soup, an egg roll/spring roll, and rice. The best item I have tried to date is the Mongolian Beef.
(3)S S.
Although the food is good, prices ok you can't trust their cleaniness. when the health score is consistently low i wonder how much they care about their customers and reputation.
(2)Cinnamon S.
Funny how the restaurant staff how fake reviews on here! They are the worst and they also refused to deliver to your home if you don't GIVE THEM TIPS!! They are unclean and roaches with hair has been in the food!! SO GROSS!! They need to be shut down!!
(1)Christine C.
(5)Emma F.
I ordered the kung pao chicken for lunch and it was below average. No peanuts, the vegetables are cut too big, it was greasy, and not spicy. The spring roll was grease as well and not memorable. My friend ordered the beef with broccoli and he had the same opinion.
(2)Therese S.
Seriously delicious Mongolian Beef! Josh the out of this world massage therapist at Asendency massage recommended this place... It was awesome and the service was spectacular!
(5)Pn N.
I use to enjoy this restaurant until I found little roaches in my soup. They were in those fried noodles that I put in my soup. I never went back.
(1)Darren H.
Pretty busy lunch crowd, the staff seemed to know almost everyone that came in & greeted them by name. I didn't dine in but got my food to go. The food was pretty good got the sweet and sour chicken. Fast in and out with friendly service I can't complain.
(3)Blake G.
(5)Lou G.
(4)Elen E.
Inconspicuous little place with a very warm interior and attentive staff. Quickly became my "definitely come back to" place.
(5)Scott T.
Orange chicken great. Consistently fast and friendly service! Overall a solid choice for Asian.
(4)c z.
(1)Kevon G.
(3)Teresa L.
YUMMY! I'm so lucky to be able to order delivery from this menu. The mu shu is something I dream about. The restaurant is clean and pretty. The servers are awesome and really care about their customers. Hunan Inn makes the best Chinese food I have had in Atlanta.
(5)Mark D.
(4)Bridget T.
(2)Beebee H.
Oh. My. Chinese food amazing-ness! There's not enough stars for this place. Good food, GREAT service, it's sooooo good! Get the crab Rangoon & spicy chicken!
(5)Zewditu D.
The food was served super quickly. A great place to get in and out for lunch. Had the orange chicken (I don't know why more chinese restaurants don't serve it) and it was pretty good. Overall, I was satisfied and would return again.
(4)jim b.
(5)Diana B.
(4)Stephen A.
(5)Z L.
Lunch menu's not bad if you just want to stuff something down. Definitively on the acceptable side of fake Chinese food. I have to warn you though, if you don't usually eat a lot of super sweet meat dishes (aka fake chinese food), you may get a bad sugar rush/some dizziness after.
(2)Selena B.
Got the pu pu tray for two, mongolian beef and sesame chicken dinner and chicken noodles. All was very, very yummy and more than enough food for four very hungry adults! I will definitely recommend this to anyone!
(5)Randy D.
(5)Crystal D.
it's a bit inconspicuous from the road, but worth the stop. i had my go-to favorite of general tso's chicken here. many chinese places here make it too sweet. hunan does it just right! the hot and soup soup is really good too- flavorful spicy broth! some places just don't make it spicy the right way. the only thing i suggest is for the restaurant to put tofu in it. price was average for a chinese restaurant and portions were plentiful! hunan inn is definitely one of those restaurants that, while not upscale or fancy, you come for the most important thing- the food!
(5)Shea B.
(4)Latanya W.
Delicious hot lunch. Fresh tasting and best service!
(5)Thought R.
Consistently good hot food. The staff takes the time to know you. This is what Chinese dining should be. We cone here every few weeks and will continue to do so.
(5)R B.
Good food, standard fare but very well done. Big portions, decently priced. Highly recommend!
(4)April M.
(1)Mark C.
Tried Hunan Inn because the guy at Moe's locked the door as we were about to walk in. Ordered the Mongolian Beef, pot stickers, hot and sour soup and a tsing tao (beer). Every last bit of it was delicious, and the service was excellent.
(4)Ahsanullah N.
(5)Lee B.
(4)Heather N.
Cheers~
(4)Adree O.
I had been on a quest to find good chinese in the area. I found Hunan Inn and I would not recommend any other Chinese restaurant in the Chamblee tucker area. I return often because the food is always good. But, I'm 20 mins away. The service is good, food is good, It is pricey.
(5)Pat M.
Quite possibly the best steamed pot stickers I have ever eaten! Delicate and tender, they melt in your mouth. Chicken with vegetables, szechuan shrimp, hot and sour soup and egg drop soup all delicious.
(4)Julie G.
This place is really good! I got Moo Goo Gai Pan and the veggies were soooo fresh! The spring rolls were not fried hard...they were flaky and although could have used a little more filling, were tasty! Can't get over how fresh everything tastes! Def going back!
(4)Bill G.
I take back my comment about the staff being surly. My last several experiences have been quite good there.
(4)Delphine L.
Just so so Chinese. Nothing special. Just Americanized Chinese, and not that tasty. Foods Court at Hmart or at Great Wall market have real Chinese food that will blow your mind. Chef lius is great also.
(3)Cary R.
Good stuff. Third time I have eaten here. Had the general chicken with fried rice and won ton soup. Portion is large, I took half home for dinner.
(5)Scott M.
This was the Chinese place we almost always went to when I was growing up in the area. It's awesome that they've not lost their quality and service over the years!
(5)Andy Y.
Mongolian Beef? Pheonix and Dragon? Sweet and Sour Chicken? So where's the damn HUNAN food?? How can you give 4 and 5 starts to a Hunan restaurant with no Hunan food??
(1)Adam U.
What more can you ask for in a Chinese Restaurant. They are friendly, the food is great, and delivery is CRAZY FAST. They are very accommodating for order changes and alterations as well. Best place in Tucker for Chinese food hands down.
(5)Jerrica B.
(5)Jacquelyn M.
(3)Jeanette S.
Don't leave without asking to try the Chinese water. They have fantastic food and great service.
(5)Leigh N.
I agree with most of the other reviews here - although a bit pricier than most other Chinese restaurants, the food here is usually very good. (Personally I'd rather pay more for good quality) Despite what others say, I've always found the staff to be very friendly, and the portions are very generous.
(4)Luu Z.
(1)Alison A.
I promise.
(5)Jinnah J.
ordered orange chicken, low mein, and spring roll appetizers.. everything was wonderful. Best Chinese food in GA! Service was spectacular.
(5)Misty T.
I'm always really skeptical about new Chinese food.. but I found thisone on delivery.com and I enjoyed it. I had the egg drop soup, which wasn't so good, sesame chicken and general tso's chicken, both were very delicius!!
(4)David H.
(5)Asia J.
(2)Chris T.
It's what you would expect. Nothing more and nothing less. Good food.
(3)Zachary G.
(2)Amy K.
(5)Ye M.
(5)Maggie H.
It took an hour to get food delivered but worth it. The orange chicken was really good. Orange rind, i wouldn't describe as candied but sweer really makes this dish stand out.
(4)Charles C.
(1)Dan K.
(2)Sally T.
the customer service is the focus of this review.
(1)Christy C.
(4)Marjorie H.
(4)M B.
(1)Hue T.
I always come here with my bf whenever we have a chance. The service is really nice, and friendly. We always get the potstickers here because it's legendary! You have to try it. The crab rangoon is also very tasty along with the Tom Yum soup. For my entrée I really like the Mango fried rice. Overall, a very friendly Chinese restaurant.
