I really like this place and we get it at least once a month. I only wish the had a more traditional tzatziki sauce, the current recipe is a little to 'ranchy' for me. Everything is priced well and fresh and delicious.

First I would like to say that the customer service was awesome. Everybody was very friendly. I ordered the classic Gyro and it was the best Gyro I have eaten. The white sauce they use is really good to. I will be going back!

Super impressed. Since my previous go-to for gyros is having health department issues, I was on the hunt for a new spot. Gyro Gyro is a definite upgrade. I would rate it as the best gyro I've had in Atlanta, and my top 3 all time. Really flavorful and juicy meat and the portion size is generous. It was well wrapped and well garnished. I had a side of fries, which were crisp and fluffy, sprinkled with a greek seasoning. My wife ordered some hummus, to which she's addicted. I was apprehensive about the hummus because of the price, I've been burned at restaurants before, paying 5 bucks for a couple tablespoons of store bought hummus and half a cold pita. Well, no worries, it was in an 8 ounce (I think) container, probably about 3/4s full; topped with diced bell pepper, cucumber and tomato; served alongside a warm (!) pita. The wife loved (LOVED) it. The real star here is the "sauce". I would describe it as a tzatziki-flavored ranch dressing, absolutely delicious. It's less "offensive" than traditional tzatziki, so you can probably go back to work after eating a gyro here. They have it in a self-serve pump next to the drink fountain. For a small charge they also offer a more traditional tzatziki if that's your thing. Normally I would only rate a quick/casual place on a 4 star scale. I don't like to put a sandwich shop on the same level as the best fine restaurants I've ever eaten at. However, Gyro Gyro's exceptional staff earned the extra star for sure. This being my wife and I's first visit we took a minute to review the menu. The lady working the counter was helpful and patient, explaining different options and enthusiastically answering all of our questions. After we had had our food for a few minutes, she checked on us to see how everything was and she noticed my wife had eaten all her pita but had some hummus left. She offered to bring her another piece of pita bread. Now, I'm sure they wouldn't do this every time. If the restaurant were more crowded we probably wouldn't have gotten so much individual attention. But, it showed that they really care about the customers enjoying their meal. Which, unfortunately, is too rare an attitude in the restaurant business. I grabbed 5 menus on my way out to hand out around the office, I can't wait to go back.

Love this place! I always get the gyro plate, tons of food. I love the salad. My family and I go there amount once a week. The best part about the place is how they make you feel when you go in, they treat you like family. Oh, don't forget to get some of the baklava and wedding cookies!

  • Alex H.

The folks here have always treated me nicely and the food is satisfying the portions generous and delivered quickly. I like what they do with the feta and really enjoy the souvlaki. The fries are crisp and fluffy. I'll drop by again.

Starting with the Appetizer. Spanakopita comes out fresh and warm! Tasted great! Gyro was great. You can tell they don't cut a block of meat and fry it on a grill. The salad does give off the Greek name and the fries have a great seasoning. The tzatziki sauce (or The Sauce as they call it) is self serve but it lacks the chunkiness that most other tzatziki sauces have. Since it is self serve though, I do like getting it for my fries. The baklava is pre-made and laid out by the cash register. Definitely is a great dessert to finish the meal off with. Will definitely be going back!

A gyro place is a gyro place is a gyro place, until you find one that differentiates itself. This place has set itself apart in an amazing way. I had the pleasure to dine here after a friend recommended this place. Great location in Dunwoody with ample parking. They have a good sized patio that definitely would be great to use in the warmer months. The Greek theme seamlessly flows through this establishment and the authentic Greek music definitely amped up the mood of our table! Overall, this place has been tastefully decorated. So, let's get to the main reason why I'm giving this place a great rating. First off, the gyro meat is better quality than you will find in the majority of gyro restaurants in Atlanta. It is special ordered in order to set itself apart from the others. The spice is awesome and the texture is spot-on. I ordered a side of just gyro meat to verify my friend's claim and was glad that I did! I know that a side to side tasting of this gyro meat would win against any other. The reason I only ordered a side of meat was because the Mahi Mahi gyro caught my eye. It was a gyro with Mahi Mahi instead of gyro meat. It was SO good!. The fish was perfectly seasoned. It was done just right and was really fresh (I took a whif just to make sure). Overall, it was a welcome departure from the ordinary and I would definitely order it again! The fries it came with were perfect and crispy. Also, they offer a special sauce to dip your fries into. Great option for those that don't want just ordinary ketchup. Also had the spanakopita and it was extremely well made! This place also sets itself apart with its specials. This is where this place really earns its merit. The owner said that he prepares a wide variety of authentic Greek food and switches up the specials all the time. He said that they update their facebook page regularly with their specials. Great idea to keep the menu fresh and exciting! I can't wait to try the Kritikos gyros. My friend says that they usually sell out pretty quickly. I can't wait for my next visit when I'm in the ATL again!!

Now I know my Gyros after being Greek my entire life. I always remember the gyros in Greece that are made with slabs of left over meat from pork and lamb and kept warm until it is carved off ready to be placed on a warm pita bread. Add some tzatziki sauce and toppings and the stuff is better than any burger around. So once this restaurant opened, I tried them out. Wow, takes me back to the old country. On occasion he has the special gyro made the exact same way as how I remember it, with the pork and lamb being warmed up ready to carve. If anyone ever asks for good gyros, I send them elsewhere. BUT, I ask if they want fantastic gyros, go to Gyro Gyro and you won't be disappointed. He also has Greek music playing in the background and I have been known to play a game of backgammon (tavli) there myself with a cup of Frappe (cold froth instant coffee, not that stuff that claims to be frappe at those other places).

Casual atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious gyro. I got the gyro plate that comes with a gyro sandwich, Greek salad and Greek fries. It was all so good! I will definitely be back to try their falafel and BBQ chicken gyro. Best of all, I got 50% off with scoutmob. Hurry go try it!

I've eaten here multiple times for a quick and reasonably priced dinner. So far I've tried the gyro, chicken salad, and falafel plate. The fries are seasoned with greek spices and the sauce is really tasty. The baklava is great too!

Fantastic food!! Best spanakopita I've had in a long time! Had the Lamb Gyro with fries, also exceptional. Clean dinning area and the host/owner was extremely polite.

Yum! This place is great. I ordered a gyro platter that included gyro meat, pita, Greek salad, and fries. The best part was the gyro meat, which the owner told me was ordered from Chicago and was freshly sliced off the roasting machine in the back. It was fresh, juicy, and succulent. (I've eaten a lot of dry, processed gyro meat in my day, and this was no old canned stuff.) They have a tzatziki sauce that's decent, good fries and salad. Clean restaurant and excellent service. I would stop here for lunch or dinner anytime.

Decent gyros served within sight of excellent gyros. I decided to give this place a try today and met a friend for lunch there. As we entered the space that was formerly Pho 79, I joked that the one person at the counter in front of us made it more crowded than I had ever seen it before. While we were there, there were a dozen people in and out which means they probably did more business today than Pho 79 had ever done! My friend ordered a Gyro with feta and a side salad while I opted for the gyro plate. The lamb is from a real shwarma machine, and it was decent. In some other part of town, I might even recommend this place if you get a craving for a gyro. But the sad fact for these guys is that one of the best gyros in Atlanta is right across the street at Maximos Gyros & Kabobs. My friend and I wondered, "how does this happen?" Did they not know? Do they still not know? Do they just think their gyros are as good, or even better? Don't they have taste-buds? While we may never know how this tragic choice of location came about, we could both safely say that they wouldn't be replacing Maximos as our regular gyro hangout. In all fairness, we did note that their gyros were approximately 20% cheaper than Maximos, and while there is something to be said for a budget-gyro, I say splurge on all things lamb! _____________________________________________________ EDIT: Someone named "Peter K" has contacted me about this review of Gyro Gyro. When he messaged me he quickly resulted to name-calling instead of addressing the content of my review. He has now posted a response to this review below, where he lies and says this review has been removed and re-posted. This is not true. I am not a competitor of his, nor am I out to get him or this restaurant. I wrote my review because that is how I feel about Gyro Gyro and I stand by it. I encourage you to form your own oppinion about the restaurant. PETER K, I challenge you to do the right thing. Retract your lies and address the underlying question: Why did you open a Gyro restaurant directly accross the street from another well established Gyro restaurant. Did you not know? Do you not like choice? Explain, or I might have to drop you down to one star for attacking reviewers!

Finally tried this place and I am glad I did. Great people, good food and fantastic lunch prices. I've been searching for a gyro shop for quite awhile. I wish I had tried this one first. The fries are awesome. This one is going into my weekly rotation!

Just went to this place yesterday for the first time. I am a huge fan of Greek/Mediterranean food, and this place was some of the best I ever had. I had a gyro with a side greek salad. Every thing was made fresh and tasted delicious. My friend also knew to order these pastries that were filled with spinach and cheese called "spanakopita" which were AMAZING. The place is really clean and the service prompt, and the staff really friendly. I wish there was a place like this in Athens, because if I lived in Atlanta I would probably eat here twice a week.

The best Greek salad in the area, bar none! That's all I've ever had (5 visits) because it's so damned good! Get it with grilled chicken breast (real chicken breast not some squiggly chicken parts like the other places). Be sure to try the humus it is also outstanding!

Gyro Gyro has everything that you may ask from a non-franchise restaurant. The people are warm and passionate about their food and you can even taste that in your mouth with every bite. I had the fish gyro which was absolutely amazing. The pita bread was warm, the fish was cooked to perfection, light and flavorful, and the salad was fresh and delicious. I will definitely be back. Friends have recommended the spicy hummus so expect an update on yelp soon....

I downloaded the yelp app and voila this restaurant popped up with rave reviews. I decided to go there tonight and there was a line to the door. Service was fast and they were very friendly. I tried the Gyro plate and YUMMY! Everything was so fresh and delicious! I will definitely go back with friends and family!

Nice little spot with quick service. Typical gyro, salad, etc. place and I will for sure use them in the future. There is an outdoor seating area as well as inside tables. Not fancy but gets the job done.

This is by far my favorite Greek food in Atlanta. Amazing z sauce, quality blocks of feta on their salads, and well balanced house made dressing. Great prices and large servings. Quick service. My favorite menu items are the spanakopita, the Greek fries with feta, and the falafel wrap. Everything I have ordered at gyro gyro has been outstanding.

I'm in a food coma!!! Came here after work about 30 minutes before they were about to close. Ordered a gyro plate and was shocked on how much food you get. Pita slices, lamb, Greek french fries and a Greek salad. All fresh and delicious. There white sauce is crack. Customer service is great!

I was looking for a new local Greek restaurant to frequent as I am new to the area. It was lovely! The Athenian Wrap minus the fries, they give you the option of fake watered down (i.e for the masses who don't know better) or traditional Tzatziki sauce. The wrap was huge... And very good! They also have a good hot sauce for that extra kick I like! The Greek salad had one lonely olive, or would have been perfect! The feta they use on the salad was yum! The side of falafel was not too dry, good flavor! It's my understanding that a family member makes the baklava, nice and flaky! I will definitely be back for more!

I have eaten here probably 40 times. This is our go-to when we don't want to cook dinner because it is always quick, reliably yummy, and right around the corner from our house. I religiously get the gyro plate, and religiously clear it. Food is ALWAYS Uber fresh and delicious. This is consistently one of the best "quick food" restaurants in Atlanta in my opinion. I have never had a disappointing meal. Falafel is good, souvlaki is good, but the gyro meat and salad... that will always be my favorite. Heads up: their "real tzatziki" sauce (which you have to order specially) is SUPER garlicky. I love it... my fiancé does not love my breath afterward.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!! Well...wifey and I finally broke down and tried this place...and we have found our Greek place in Atlanta! Total hole in the wall atmosphere (my kind of place)...with absolutely outstanding Greek food! So...here goes... Gyro Plate Made from lamb (really the only way to make it) and exceptionally tasty and well done! The plate comes with a Greek salad which is excellent, but I must say the best part of the salad is the tomatoes and Feta. This Feta is not crumbled on top, but a solid hunk of Feta that you can divide up between the tomatoes, kind of like an Italian Caprese salad...yummy Greek Fries is the other side...and they are cooked to perfection...and then seasoned in that Greek way...another yummy! Finally, pita...and this pita is very tasty, more so than any other Greek place I have tried! Wifey Time - Souvlaki The Souvlaki plate comes with the same sides as the Gyro...and wifey agrees with my assessment of them. As for the Souvlaki...it is interesting...as wifey and I have tired several Greek places...they tend to either get the Souvlaki right or the Gryo right, but not both. At Gyro Gyro, they get them BOTH right! The Souvlaki is really good as well... Finally...the "White" sauce...this is not exactly Tzatziki sauce...it is something else...but...it is perfect for the Gyro, Souvlaki and the fries...it is quite tasty...and does not make us miss Tzatziki at all...

I drive past this place everyday on my way to work and finally decided to try it out for lunch today. I decided to try their lunch special gyro wrap which comes with either fries or a salad. I decided to get the fries. The meal came out to be $7.00 after tax and I got a free small drink for checking in with the yelp app! I called in my order and it was ready for me by the time I came by to pick it up. This place is pretty spacious inside and had plenty of seating. My gyro was delicious and had plenty of meat. My coworker got the souvlaki wrap with a salad and really enjoyed her meal too. My fries were a little bland but could easily be fixed by adding a little salt.

Stopped here for dinner one evening and got the gyro platter.. the food came out in a timely manner and it was very good. "The Sauce" was memorable.. although it strayed a bit father from the traditional gyro sauce than I would have liked. The restaurant was clean and welcoming.. The staff was super friendly!!!!

This place is so good!! My boyfriend and I was checking out some place to eat for lunch and it was only 2 mins drive from our place. I got the gryo wrap in beef and lamp. My wrap is a little small but some much flavor in the wrap. The beef and lamp doesn't have a strong smell, mostly the lamp. I had fries with my dish and the fries was ok. I really didn't care for the fries. The white sauce that goes with the wrap tasted pretty good. My bf got the Philly steak from here. His was good but I like mine a lot more. One of those wrap will make you full. Ok if you watch Buzzfeed you'll might know what this waffle cook is. I saw this when I was watching it online and I had to give it a try. This butter syrup waffle called Roomboter is so tasty!! It's in a shape of a waffle but is not crispy but soft with this caramel fulling in the middle and its so good. You have to try this if you come here. They have sample of you asked them for it. This waffle taste great with coffee and tea . Yes I'm in heaven!!!! I would come back here again when I'm craving Greek food!!!

My husband and I went here for a late lunch around 3pm. We were starved and found Gyro Gyro through Yelp! The staff greeted us when we first walked in, helped explain their menu and the special of the month (Kritiko). My husband ordered the special of the month and I had a traditional Gyro with lamb. The fries that was served with the Kritiko were like nothing we've ever had! Large think seasoned steak fries, the seasonings were just delicious. The meat was seasoned well, moist, and had a nice char from the stove top. Their "sauce" is so good, I dipped my fries and would have put my straw in it if I didn't order a drink! My husband and I really loved the food and the friendly staff, we look forward to coming back for dinner soon!

Man, I last had this place over 2 years ago. I did not like it and I never went back. Yesterday, I had a hankering for a gyro. I pulled into the Grecian Gyro Dunwoody because it was along the way and I have been meaning to try it. I parked but never got of the car. The reviews were solid enough, but Gyro Gyro Reviews were better. What was I missing? Maybe they changed over the past few years. Changed management? New recipe? Maybe I just had a bad day sandwich. So I left Grecian and drove over to Gyro Gyro. Yep, the Yelp Reviews pulled me away. I ordered the basic gyro add feta for 65 cents more. The girl at the register told me she me put extra tzatziki sauce in the bag. Perfect! While waiting, I noticed this is a good size restaurant. The dining area is is elongated with plenty of seating. There was only 1 person dining in though. I got home to dine and surprisingly enough it was better. Way better! When I added the tzatziki sauce, it only improved....Dramatically! There sauce is some of the best I have had on a gyro, period. It has a zing to it, can't place my taste buds on it now to give you more insight, but just try it for yourself. You will appreciate me for it and they will appreciated your patronage. Okay, I am a fan now. Location There is a new "green" Neighborhood Wal-Mart across the street. They are tucked away in a small strip store style block in a residential area. Just Yelp, or ah Google it.

By far the best gyro joint on earth. If I can come up with a good reason to be in the area, I will always stop by for a Hercules. This place beats all gyros. Chicago, Milwaukee, NYC, etc. ATL isn't known for Greek food... But Pete knows what is up. Why no intown location?

This has become a place I wanna eat for lunch at least once a week. I'm always craving it! The staff is so nice. They make the order very quickly. The white/dill sauce is seriously amazing. This is probably top 2 best Greek restaurants I've had in Atlanta and I've been to a lot as a chicken gyro junkie! Next time I want to try the chicken plate here which comes with Greek fries, Greek salad, pita and topped with caramelized onions! I feel like this place is a hidden gem find that is rarely crowded. I don't know why it isn't busier though, it is sooooo good! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the atmosphere is lacking a little.

I think I've found it! After hunting around for months, trying to find the best place in Atlanta to get a Gyro plate - this is it! We've been in a few times now - weekly since finding it, and I can finally get my greek fix on. It's about a 15-min mixed hwy/street drive from where we live, but well worth it. We've mostly been ordering the gyro plate - and it comes with a fulfilling portion of greek salad with a small slab of feta, dressing, etc. It also comes with a side of fries. The gyro meat is well, classic gyro meat in my opinion. It's well balanced, seasoned, never been greasy. I prefer mine cooked pretty well, with slightly crispy edges and sometimes I get it, but I've never asked for it that way - I might next time I go in. You also get a pita sliced into quarters. The tzaziki, which I will call white sauce, because I don't think it's a traditional tzaziki - is deserving of it's own review. It's like liquid happy sauce, and I can't get enough of it. Just short of drinking it, I will put it all over my gyro meat, fries, get two side cups of it to dip everything in it again as I eat it. It's dangerous stuff, it is just that good. I would try to relate it to something that was born of unicorns, but it would probably be against the community standards to say it here. To elaborate on the tzaziki - it does not taste like your typical tzaziki which is a cucumber based sauce. This sauce in fact does not really taste like cucumber at all in my opinion - I LOVE IT! We've tried some various deserts, they've always been great. We otherwise haven't been overly adventurous here yet. I will try some other things over time should I get bored with the gyro plate, but I don't see that happening any time in the very near future. No service issues here, never had an ordering issue. It's a pretty laid back, casual atmosphere. Pete and whomever has been there have always been great. You walk in, order, grab your drinks, magical unicorn white sauce of awesomeness and sit. A couple minutes later, out comes your food.

Was in traffic and saw a sign for Gyros. I thought to myself great, I'd love to have one right now. Due to the logistics of traffic, I had to duck into the lot across the street in order to turn around and go to Gyro Gyro. Upon entering the lot, I saw Maximos Gyro and Kabob. I thought Gyro is a Gyro so, being lazy, I grabbed a Gyro from there. Bad move! I was so disappointed with the serving size if their supposedly "Huge Gyro Salad" that I ran across the street to Gyro Gyro. Great move! Gyro Gyro's sauce was amazing and the serving size if their wrap was larger than Maximos supposedly "Huge Gyro Salad." In the battle of Gyro places on Winter's Chapel, it not even close, Gyro Gyro wears the crown!

4 stars because I save my 5 stars for $$$$ restaurants. That being said, the food is excellent here. Love both sauces, and you can't go wrong with the "standard" sauce. "Mama's" sauce is thicker and has a good bit more garlic, but that will be a matter of personal taste/preference. I really only get the gyro plate, but it IS a GYRO place. Wife gets it for lunch sometimes when I'm not around. Leftovers from Gyro Gyro are better than others "fresh" It's always been a home run for us. Owners and staff are friendly as well.

The owner is in an apron so you know the place is well managed. He obviously takes pride in his place. It was spotlessly clean which is a nice plus for a gyro joint! A great location and plenty of seating. I wanted to love this place but it was jsut ok. The Philly Cheese steak with added gyro meat on pita bread was kind of tasteless. Go figure!!! I'll try it again and if its tasteless again no need to return despite a nice owner and a really clean facility.

This place is hidden but worth the find. You order and pay at the front and seat yourselves. FOOD: I had the Mahi Mahi plate wrapped that comes with fries and salad. The pita wrap consists of grilled fish with lettuce and tomato. The season thick fries were delicious and the Greek salad(lettuce, tomatoes, onion, bell peppers, cucumbers, Kalamata olives, pepperoncini, Feta, and House Dressing) were a nice side to the wrap. For $9.95 this is a filling dish and somewhat healthy.

So there's a very good gyro to be had here.... and trust me, I've hunted Atlanta for gyros. Had to deduct a star because while the salad dressing is made in house, in my multiple experiences it's been pure oil, nowhere near enough vinegar. I've asked them to shake it but the outcome is the same. It's a shame because the salad is really great otherwise. Hasn't stopped me from repeating here because the sandwich is that good. Just order fries I guess. Standard greek dive decor and dumpy part of town. You're going here for the food and the service.

I've been on the hunt for a decent gyro in the city and decided to give this place a try. First impression was the place seemed very dark/cave-like on the inside but the guy at the register was very friendly and accommodating. I decided to go with a couple of gyros, both with fries. The gyro was okay...nothing special but not horrible either (have tried the place across the street in the past and was disgusted by the greasy horrible film it left in my mouth-this gyro was not greasy). The sauce that the gyro comes was somewhat of a letdown...not the tzatziki i was craving, rather a watered down ranch tasting sauce. The fries i did not like whatsoever; the overly seasoned fries leave a taste and breath that lingers. Overall the food wasn't horrible... the gyro was okay (not greasy, decent amount of meat, pita was soft). Considering the price of the food and the taste I likely will not be back.

I found this place through Scout Mob. It was a little bit off my beaten path, but I love gyros, so I stopped by when I was in the area. Of course I ordered the gyro and fries. They were so delicious! The fries were hot and crispy and seasoned. The gyro was just yummy! The people were very friendly and I liked the decor. Definitely a good place to check out if you like gyros.

One of my local favorites. Still seems to be a bit of a secret, but the food is good as is the service. I usually phone in a to-go order but there's always plenty of tables available too. My regular dish is the Mahi Mahi wrap with Greek fries. Try it!

Gyro gyro has been in Dunwoody for a short period of time but it has rocked the neighborhood. Try their big Greek salad for lunch, and you will beg for more. I don't eat meat anymore, but when I used to, their southern fried chicken salad was to die for. Don't forget the white sauce, it is the delight. You will want it to touch every piece of food that's about to go down your throat. Don't forget to check in on yelp to get a free small drink :-) Minus one star due to the use of styrofoam. C'mon! There are alternatives and we should all chip in to make the environment healthier too! I hope they make that change very soon, or I will always feel guilty about eating there.

I got the lunch special (gyro & fries) and its the best Greek place I've been to since arriving in Atlanta. A lot of food for a little small and the service is fast!!

I ate here last night and it was awesome! I got the falafel wrap with feta cheese. The ratios were perfect. I added a lot of house sauce, but even without it would have been moist and delicious - not dry. I love that they keep all of their condiments in a mini fridge. Even in the summer they would be eternally fresh. Such a great idea. I didn't get a side. My husband got a gyro wrap and a side Greek salad. I thought the olive oil seemed a little off. Idk. If I ever get the Greek salad, I will get the dressing on the side. Then if it seems off, I'll just use more of their house sauce. At the end of our meal, the owner brought over some delicious Belgian cookies. They really were awesome. He could extend his customer base by selling coffee and those awesome cookies!

Quite possibly the best gyro I've ever had! Delicious, packed with meet and veggies, I could live happily off these for the rest of my life until I died smiling! I got mine with an equally delicious greek salad, though fries are also an option! Highly recommended!

Nice little spot with quick service. Typical gyro, salad, etc. place and I will for sure use them in the future. There is an outdoor seating area as well as inside tables. Not fancy but gets the job done.

So happy to have discovered this place! Was going out with my mom today and she suggested it. The reviews were all great and they were totally spot on. First of all, this place is cheap CHEAP! We both had the gyro wrap lunch special. I had mine open faced with fries and mom had hers wrapped with greek salad. The wrap and the open face were the same except - shocker - hers was wrapped up in paper. I ended up eating mine with a knife and fork which was good because I usually feel like it's too much pita as a wrap and this way I could eat as much as I wanted. The gyro meat was incredible. So juicy and really well seasoned. It also had some nice crispy edges. Gyros were served with lettuce, tomato and special sauce which was sort of between tzaziki and homemade ranch dressing. Very garlicky and very delicious. The fries were great too. Super crispy and hot with oregano sprinkled on top. They also paired well with the special sauce. The greek side salad came with tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, onion, pepperoncini, olives and some nice big piece of feta. Everything was so fresh. I can't wait to go back!

This place is tucked away in the same plaza as the music store and Pizza Hut. The service was super slow and I am not sure why. I read other Yelp reviews and was thinking all along that the food was going to be worth the wait and I was severely disappointed. The food was just OK, nothing to write home about, but at the price that I paid for it, I was expecting more. Rather than just going to this place again, I would opt for Mad Italian in Dunwoody. At least there you can get some of the best Philly Cheese steaks in Atlanta.

Just passing through town and wanted something off the norm Chickfila, so found this place through good yelp reviews. DIDN'T DISSAPOINT! I had the standard Gyro and it really was the best I've ever had. I will definitely be back whenever I'm nearby! Well done gyro guys!

Came up here to help my guy get his car at the dealership... otherwise I would never have tried this place... It was pretty noms. The hummus was really good, the pita soft and with the right amount of chew. I got the gyro with feta and it was large and noms. Get all the sauces... the "the sauce" and the hot sauce - mixed together they are a great dip for the fries and on the gyro. If I have to go to this area of town again, I will come here for lunch.

This place is amazing...the food is so good and the people are really nice! The girl at the front was cute too, definite plus =D Had the classic gyro, came out hot in about five minutes with soft pita, tender beef and lamb, and fresh lettuce and tomato. Their special version of tzatziki sauce is also very good.

Get the Mahi Mahi plate. I don't know of another casual Greek place in Atlanta that offers fish -- most places just offer lamb or chicken. The $9.95 plate is served open-face (which is what I got) or wrapped, and also comes w/ Greek fries and a side Greek salad. The fish and fries were very good. If you want the white sauce for dipping your fries or meat, go to the glass fridge next to the fountain drinks. The sauce tasted like Ranch but maybe it was Tahini - my palate couldn't tell. I'm definitely coming back - thanks to Scoutmob for the introduction! Next time I'd like to try their Eggplant Fries, Feta Fries, and Falafels -- and I'll probably get the Mahi Mahi again, too :)

When I find a good gyro place, I usually order the Gyro Plate as a good litmus test to compare and contrast with other gyro joint's versions. Gyro Gyro's gyro plate is good but not great; I would say that the place itself has some good benefits and notable drawbacks. What I liked was the cleanliness and spaciousness of the place. The place was somewhat busy on a work night during the dinner hour, but not crazy busy. The staff / managers / owners appear to be super friendly and helpful - especially to first timers. The gyro meat on the plate was well prepared and tasty. One can obtain as much white sauce as one likes from a self serve fridge that also contains a squeeze bottle of red pepper sauce. The fries that come with the gyro plate are fat steak fry type fries, cooked well done, and are seasoned with greek spices / herbs. The small salad on the plate was the typical, shredded iceberg, tomato quarters, sliced white onion, small slice of feta, a couple greek olives, oil & vinegar dressing, etc. What I felt that could use some improvement are as follows: The plastic-wear plate was somewhat smallish and I felt was too crowded to make you think you are getting more food than you really are. The pita bread triangles provided, though well toasted / buttered/ oiled, was a skimpy portion. I ran out of pita bread too quickly. The white sauce was more of a ranch dressing than a true tzadziki yogurt-based sauce. The hot sauce was a cheap Texas Pete variety. The gyro meat was perhaps a bit on the dry / overcooked side. The location near the Dunwoody / Norcross water works is a little too off the beaten path for me. Really not a bad place to eat but there are perhaps two or three other places I like better for the kind of food they serve. I might return if I am in that neighborhood again; however, I would not make a special trip to go there.

The food here is extremely delicious and completely flavorful. I have eaten multiple times before. They have really delicious and excellent gyros. The pita bread that they use for their gyros is absolutely very soft and fluffy. The meat is so juicy, tender, and flavorful. The lettuce that they use on their gyros is nice and crisp. I absolutely love their signature white sauce that they give you to top your gyro with. The French Fries that they serve does not lack flavor. The rice is cooked to and flavored to perfection. I just absolutely love their caramelized onions on their rice. Their Greek French fries are flavorful, crispy, and seasoned to perfection. The service is top notch. The wait time for the food does not take long at all. The portion size for the food is plentiful. The wait to place an order is never long at all. This is by far my favorite place to get good gyros near the place where I work. I come here every so often to get my gyro fix. I always get my gyro with their French fries and their rice. All around excellent food as well as excellent service!

Gyro Gyro is one of my favorite spots for when I want to just grab something quick. I always go with the classic chicken wrap. It's just okay by itself, but that tatziki sauce is EVERYTHING! The pita is always soft and warm. I love it. Nice staff.

The food is simply fresh good authentic Greek food simply prepared right just really good food nothing fancy but it's something you wanna eat everyday. The owner is super nice. We went there an hour before they close and owner gave us a free pound cake to try. The cake was super soft just like their pita bread. Greek salad was super fresh with delicious feta cheese. Even my son's chicken finger was so tender and yummy and it made difference. I'd definitely go back there and try other things.

No...I don't understand all the rave 5-star reviews. No where near the quality I was expecting. The gyro was rather small for the price and the sauce tastes like they mix Ranch Dressing in it. It's nasty, especially if you are after that light/fresh taste you know a GOOD Mediterranean food joint can master. If you serve me a Greek Salad, what makes you think I want to douse it in ranch dressing? Don't give me a side of ranch in a Mediterranean place....EVER. Either someone messed up my order or this is the way you serve your food and it's too Americanized for my taste. FRESH Olive oil, paprika, lemon, dill, etc., these are the flavors I expect from a Mediterranean restaurant. I didn't find that here. They also make a very shoddy baklava..it is hard as a rock. If it's been sitting out for a day or two, please don't serve it to me. Otherwise, culinary skills need to be better displayed here. My greek salad only consisted of lettuce, onion and cucumber, I asked for no tomato and they left all the peppers and good stuff out. That's not a Greek salad. I honestly have nothing positive to say about my experience here and won't be recommending it to co-workers. Cafe Agora...where are you when I need REAL Mediterranean food?

Try it!

Gyro Gyro is one of my favorite spots for when I want to just grab something quick. I always go with the classic chicken wrap. It's just okay by itself, but that tatziki sauce is EVERYTHING! The pita is always soft and warm. I love it. Nice staff.

Great gyros and get the fries they are awesome as well! I love that its this is a kind of hidden place to go to. My parents go here regularly and love it more than gyro place closer to them.

This place is amazing...the food is so good and the people are really nice!

I got the lunch special (gyro & fries) and its the best Greek place I've been to since arriving in Atlanta. A lot of food for a little small and the service is fast!!

Great gyros and get the fries they are awesome as well! I love that its this is a kind of hidden place to go to. My parents go here regularly and love it more than gyro place closer to them.

Gyro Gyro is one of my favorite spots for when I want to just grab something quick. I always go with the classic chicken wrap. It's just okay by itself, but that tatziki sauce is EVERYTHING! The pita is always soft and warm. I love it. Nice staff.

  • Zach K.

4 stars because I save my 5 stars for $$$$ restaurants. That being said, the food is excellent here. Love both sauces, and you can't go wrong with the "standard" sauce. "Mama's" sauce is thicker and has a good bit more garlic, but that will be a matter of personal taste/preference. I really only get the gyro plate, but it IS a GYRO place. Wife gets it for lunch sometimes when I'm not around. Leftovers from Gyro Gyro are better than others "fresh" It's always been a home run for us. Owners and staff are friendly as well.

  • Mike P.

  • Lee M.

One of my local favorites. Still seems to be a bit of a secret, but the food is good as is the service. I usually phone in a to-go order but there's always plenty of tables available too. My regular dish is the Mahi Mahi wrap with Greek fries. Try it!

I really like this place and we get it at least once a month. I only wish the had a more traditional tzatziki sauce, the current recipe is a little to 'ranchy' for me. Everything is priced well and fresh and delicious.

The best Greek salad in the area, bar none! That's all I've ever had (5 visits) because it's so damned good! Get it with grilled chicken breast (real chicken breast not some squiggly chicken parts like the other places). Be sure to try the humus it is also outstanding!
