So Gilly's has a new owner named Willy! He's a forward thinking, innovative guy. He's already made some changes and it will continue to progress. A shiny new draft system has been installed! The menu is expanding as well. They are now open for lunch and that's good news because their food is yummy. They are going to have karaoke on various Saturdays. I heard the last one was epic! A couple of arcade game systems have been added as well. I like to use the AMI BarLink App on my phone to select songs to play on their jukebox. Gilly's now offers Keno slot games. All of the bartenders are great and really take the time to learn what their customers like. The drinks are never weak either. Jane, Bill, Genevieve, and Dave are all top notch. I love ladies night on Mondays because the drinks are half off from 4:30 to 8pm and the wings are $0.70. The lemon pepper, and honey bbq are my favorite! Poker nights are Wednesday thru Friday! I am excited to see new horizons for my favorite neighborhood bar. GO GILLY"S!

Gillys has been a great neighborhood bar for decades. But now it's better than ever! The new owner is AWESOME! And the staff could not be happier! We've got new hours, menu, atmosphere and much more. So if you haven't tried it, come on by. If you have been here before, please come back! **Ask for Willie and tell him Jane sent you!

Decent place for the most part. Went in for the first (and last) time after seeing an ad for $2 happy hour drafts. Upon arrival, saw all the beers on tap and said I was there for the $2 special. After two hours and 9 beers and appetizers among friends, received tab and was charged $5 per beer instead. When I asked why, was told that special was for Busch draft only which was NOT said upon arrival. Understand mistakes can be made but no effort was made by management to do anything about it. Would liked to have considered going back and wish new owner good luck, but definitely feel was misled.

First time I've been back to Gilly's since they went non-smoking. I was skeptical that it would smell fresh, but the change is noticeable from the moment you walk through the doors. The decor is changed subtlety and the atmosphere is still family friendly. Still the best wings in Dunwoody. The new owner is definitely making some excellent progress! We will be back.

Nice neighborhood bar of the beaten path. Good drink prices, and great food. Willie is the new owner, and he immediately made some positive changes. He put in a state of the art tapping system. Very friendly place . Great bartenders!

LOVE this place!!! Great food, great value, no kids who could ask for anything more? They changed the onion rings...ugh but if that's my only complaint, I guess all is well.

This is another one of those places that you can come alone or with a group and have a couple beers and some awesome food and have a great experience I had the steak sandwich and onion rings and us was great and the beer is ice cold

We went for Monday night football. Monday is also bingo night which seems to be smokers night... It was so smoky inside we only stayed for two beers and then went home. So if that doesn't bother you I'm sure it's lovely.

I like this place, simply because I can be nameless and faceless. The bartenders are friendly, and so are the regulars. Also, they have drink specials! Like, real ones that are actually a deal. They also have bingo, poker, and trivia. All around, I'd say it's my favorite neighborhood bar.

Place was your everyday dive bar, pretty smoky if you're cool with that kind of thing if you cant handle the smoke id recommend staying away. The food was ok for bar food and the wings were decent. The service was good so they barely get a 3. I really wanted to get the steak here but they were out of it. The steaks are half price on thursdays i believe so if I was to come back, it would be on that day.

I usually go to Gilly's after work for poker on wed and thurs nights. I enjoy there shrimp specials on wed and half off steak dinners on thurs. I don't drink much, but have some beer specials. Service is good given that they have the poker crowd, lots of TVs. Only bad thing is it can get smoky. So overall its a nice place.

This may be a crappy dive bar, but it's OUR crappy dive bar, dammit! Don't come here looking for beer-forward craft micro-brews. Or anything else on tap at all, for that matter. Nope - just bottled beer and liquor. So ask for Jack, Jim, Bud or an MGD, and say "Hi" to the folks sitting next to you. Cheap beer, cheap food, and old friends keep people coming back here. The slightly older crowd contributes to the laid back ambiance, who are not afraid of a little lung cancer, or tonight's special. And we do not want more than 1 or 2 stars, anyway. That's how we roll.

For cheap bottled beer and booze this place is great. Ive only eaten a couple times and i think the portions are generous if not exactly gourmet They do allow smoking which sucks because you leave smelling like an ashtray. But for a few cold bottles of regular beer (no taps here) they don't expect a small fortune. Not a young hip hangout for sure but this place fills a niche nicely I don't go often because I don't like smelling like cigarette smoke.

I have been to Gilly's several times when in Atl for trade shows. Always a comfortable, laid back, friendly atmosphere. Nothing showy or fancy here, but that's not a bad thing. The food has always been really good. The burger was nothing special but not bad...Wings are good about what you would expect in a sports bar setting. The one exceptional meal I had at Gilly's was on their Half-price steak night (Thursday) I had a filet w/all the trimmings. The steak was OUTSTANDING! I was shocked to say the least. I chatted w/the owner about it and learned that he is a steak lover who only wanted to serve very good cuts of quality beef. There are only 2-3 options for the steaks but OMG... I'll be back!

Here's what I do know...we went on a Saturday night because we wanted to play pool and three other area bars were packed. Not only did we have a open pool table, we played darts using the bartender's personal darts, and drank beer--on a tab that did not require us to give them a credit card or ID as collateral--for less that most places around town. It's not glamorous or hip, but it's downhome and casual.

LOCAL SPORTS BAR This is the local Cheers of Dunwoody. Everyone knows each other here. TVS are all over the front part of the bar and there are pool tables in the back. There is also a hot dog buffet bar with all beef dogs and you add your own condiments. WINGS We got the lemon pepper, BBQ, and buffalo. All were really good but I like the lemon pepper best. It's really salty though so get a glass of water and beer to wash it all down. Comes with celery and carrots with your choice of ranch or blue cheese dip. GRILLED CHEESE Was not that great. I like rye bread normally, but on this grilled cheese, it was dry and the cheese was not that gooey. I would get something else next time.
