What an interesting find. I would not have discovered it if it weren't for a foodie event. I'm glad I found this hidden in Buckhead. It's across the street from the Whole Foods on W. Paces Ferry and has plenty of parking spaces. The door of the entrance is unassuming. Our fearless leader made reservations for 15 ahead of time. It was an hour later when I got my food but this is understandable given our large group. Our server was great in giving an introduction (all are 12 inch pizzas), flawlessly taking orders, refilling our water (it may be easier for him to just leave pitchers at our long table), and finally getting our bills. I love that the menu is extensive and there are so many different types of pizza. From the special category, I got the Pistacchio e Salsiccia. The sausage is flavorful and the warm cheese was comforting. The dough is perfectly chewy. There is plenty of seating in this open space with rooms divided by a curtain. The trek to the restroom alone took me down a halfway, through a door, down another long quiet hallway (by this point, I felt like I was in a horror movie and something was going to jump out at me), and into the restroom that has an old school sinks.

Maybe it's because I came in with low expectations for this place. The pace of the restaurant didn't pick up until after 7:30 or so, so we beat the crowd getting there around 7 on a Friday night. This restaurant is kind of off the side of the road, so if you're looking for it, look for the FlyWheel location near West Paces Ferry. Fritattine: Deep fried cakes of spaghetti, ham and mozzarella. An order of these includes 2 and they're kind of small. They're just ok. I wouldn't get them again. Montanara Starita: This is their signature fried pizza. This was my favorite item. They're like donuts haha and I looove donuts. The crust is airy but still has a good bite. There's something about the texture of this pizza that makes it so good and it's simple with tomato sauce and mozzarella. Noci e Porcini: I first found out about walnut cream from an episode of Mind of a Chef (Season 2), so as soon as we saw this on the menu, my boyfriend and I wanted to try it. Delicious, although this wasn't my most favorite pizza of the evening. Maybe it was the char on the crust, but this pizza tasted bitter me. The porcini mushrooms on here were juicy and they melt well with the cheese. Still a good pizza, but next to the Montanara Starita and Vesuvio, it gets kind of lost. Vesuvio: This is not your averaged stuffed pizza. I imagine they stuff it, and then the toppings on top of the pizza tend to weigh down the pie, so it's not going to be as puffy as a calzone. Lots of toppings. In terms of favorites, this was in 2nd place. Service was ok. It actually got better. It was a bit off-putting to get ignored by the hostess at first. Also, I'm glad they moved us to a bigger table because seriously, that two-top next to the booth was not going to be able to hold the 3 pizzas we ordered. And yea, believe it, we ate 3 pizzas. Each pizza is in 4 slices and while they could be sliced smaller, you'll probably get full on 3-4 slices. When it came time to dessert, we were curious to see if there was anything that used the double zero flour like they use on the pizza. We couldn't decide and when our waiter asked us if it was our first time there, he just said, "I'll take care of you" and he briskly disappeared to return with a small complimentary dessert: they were like small mini breadsticks drizzled with melted Nutella. That hit the spot: something sweet, but not too much. If I come back to Don Antonio's, I'm just going to eat the Montanara Starita. That's all I would want.

I came here for an UYE a week or so ago - the location isn't bad at all.. I found it a little interesting it was somewhat close to YourPie. This review will be shorter... since I only really ate my own pizza. Parking seems decent - not too shabby. I get there at 7 and there were lots of spots available. Space - the inside looks pretty solid. Lots of tables around. They even had a curtain to separate group tables. Definitely a great idea. Just seems more private that way for larger groups. If you have about 15+ people coming + want a decent pizza + without being rushed to leave, I'd come here. Menu - Sheeesh, their menu was pretty extensive haha. So many choices. Everyone at the table ordered all kinds of things. Service - the service was good! I know we had a lot of people; I can tell the servers were trying their best to get all things in order :) I got the gluten free Margarita.. so here's why I knocked off a few stars. So - other yelpers I could tell enjoyed their food and really got great orders. But I guess I must have ordered the wrong item. My pizza just tasted... ok. Barely any basil on it. I've had gluten free from other places and they were a bit better. I just think the pizza here was a little bit overpriced....But REMEMBER! - everyone else seemed to enjoy their pizza. They are decently sized. One Yelper got a calzone.... WOW - that calzone was the biggest I've seen. I think if I come back - I'll get something regular.

Having read on Eater that everything is good in their best of 2014 so far list, and knowing that J loves all things pizza and Italian food, we decide to check out Don Antonio for the first stop on our date night. We sat on the patio, which features about 10 tables and some bench seating amongst some lovely flowers. It started to sprinkle, but they moved the sunbrellas to keep us from getting too wet. Our server was so happy and chill. He was singing along with the pop music soundtrack (plenty of MJ) and had something great to say about everything on the menu. We started with cocktails - I with the Zen (sold by the housemade limoncello and the ginger) and J with the Italian Old Fashioed. I was slightly disappointed when I received the cocktail, and instead of fresh ginger (as stated by the menu and the server) it was candied ginger, but it was still a pretty tasty cocktail. We ordered only one other item, the Pistachio & Sausage pizza - pistachio pesto sauce with mozzarella and sausage (and one tiny basil sprig in the middle). The pizza was cut into 4 pieces. It was nicely charred on top, but not at all crisp. The pistachio pesto was really nutty and rich. The basil was practically non existent. I like the pizza enough to come back, but I think it could have benefited from some acidity to balance the richness of the pesto, cheese, and sausage. Love the patio and the free parking.

I read about their fried pizza and I wanted to give it a try. It was on a "best pizza in Atlanta" list, so my hopes were high. But honestly I didn't like it. The fried dough made it worse, not better. The rest of the pizza had too strong of a flavor that just didn't sit well with me. I wouldn't be surprised if this place has other great pizzas, but for now my rating can only reflect my experience.

I do like this place. I would go again....as long as it is still there. Their location is definitely the worst in Buckhead. So. Hard. To. Find. Even for a local like me, my brain just didn't grasp that STG and now Don Antonio is in this spot. Look for the little globe lights strung on the patio, just past the end of the office-looking strip, and you may find it. As far as food goes, it's solid.. While the décor is kinda meh - impersonal, really - and the open oven set up doesn't do much to warm things up (ha), the food is good. With a menu-knowledgeable friend, and frequent visitor, as a guide, we had a nice dinner. The manager sent over a small plate of beignet-like puffs of pizza dough topped with marinara and chiffons of basil (guess it helps to go with a regular); very light, airy, and tasty. The three of us have a girls' dinner as regularly as possible, and we usually order several things for each course, so . . . I didn't love our chosen apps. The frittatine were good, but a little bland (I wanted to add a lot of salt to perk them up, which tells me the kitchen needs to tweak the seasoning with different herbs); I don't love anything gnocchi- like, so the potato croquette thingies were not up my alley. Next time, I will try some of the meat or cheese picks, or the burrata app (how can you not want to devour as much of this milky, creamy type of mozzarella as your stomach allows?). The pizzas we shared were the highlight of the meal. We went with a "baseline" choice of the margherita; note that the red-based pizzas first listed in this section do not have cheese, so if you want to try a simple marinara and cheese, you need to get the margherita. Simple, tasty, just gooey enough, with a nicely charred but still light crust (and no desire to add salt here!). My Foodie Friend picked one of the specialty pizzas for our other one - I loved it. I forget the name of the one MFF suggested (read: took charge and ordered it for us) - the one with Italian ham (what is the word for it?), cherry tomatoes and arugula. Delicious and hands down my favorite dish of our dinner. MFF always has to have dessert and since she was in charge of comestibles, ordered us the Nutella treat. I don't usually order dessert, and I am not particularly fond of Nutella, but these little soldier sticks are awesome. The dough, again that pillowy beignet-like consistency, with the warm drizzled chocolate/hazelnut stuff, makes a great treat. Plenty to share for three (one being a pregnant woman). Do try. Don Antonio could be closer to a four, but something about it just didn't click with me in toto. The service was fine and that pizza whose name I can't recall, and that dessert, were awesome . . . but something between "meh" and "yay, I'm a fan" was my final answer. If another three or six months go by and it's going strong, as I'd like it to be, I'll return and see if a bump up is warranted. Andiamo!

Don Antonio by Starita is a Neapolitan pizza restaurant that opened in Buckhead in January 2014. It opened in the old STG Trattoria space. I was a fan of STG ( yelp.com/biz/stg-trattor… ) and was sad to see it go. While Don Antonio is similar to STG in that it serves Neapolitan pizzas, the menu is much bigger and the pizzas are served in a more rustic and traditional Italian setting as opposed to STG's sleek and modern environs. Don Antonio comes to Atlanta by way of New York, where another location of this restaurant resides. The business is brought to you by experienced pizzaiolos Roberto Caporuscio and Antonio Starita. Roberto's daughter, Giorgia, is also a pizza chef and may likely be the one you'll see running the show in Buckhead. The restaurant is hidden, tucked away in the back corner of a nondescript shopping center next to the St. Regis hotel. Though there is a sign on the street, I think most customers find out about Don Antonio's existence through media and word of mouth. Perhaps the somewhat hard-to-find location was part of the reason for STG's shuttering. And with Your Pie's opening in June 2014, there's a more visible pizza alternative just down the street. Don Antonio is an open and fairly spacious restaurant. It's great for groups. They've got an outdoor patio decorated with string lights and optionally covered with big umbrellas. The restaurant interior has two dining spaces, one for small groups and one for big groups (with long communal tables). The sections are separated with sheer, decorative, floor-to-ceiling curtains. There are a couple bars and an open kitchen. The pizza bar features two Acunto wood-burning ovens. Of all the Neapolitan pizza restaurants in the Atlanta area, I think Don Antonio has the biggest menu. They serve an eye-popping 60-70 different types of pizza, including over a dozen that are gluten-free, plus a whole host of small plates and salads. Some apps can be as little as a few dollars (e.g. $3 Fraticelli) to $15-20 for a luscious, homemade plate of burrata. Each pizza is 12-inches in diameter and cut into four slices. Most pizzas run about $15-20 each, though some of the special pizzas can reach upwards of $25. I've tried the following: Antipasti (apps): * Arancini - Neapolitan rice balls with baked Italian ham * Fritattine - spaghetti cake with baked Italian ham and smoked buffalo mozzarella Pizza Fritte (lightly fried pizza): * Montanara Genovese - lightly fried pizza dough topped with pork, onions, Parmigiano-Reggiano, extra virgin olive oil * Montanara Starita - lightly fried pizza dough topped with "signature" Starita tomato sauce, smoked buffalo mozzarella, basil Pizze Bianche (white pizza): * Quattro Formaggi - buffalo mozzarella, gran cru, Caciocavallo Ragusano, Parmigiano-Reggiano, BelGioioso Crescenza-Stracchino, basil Pizze Rosse (red pizza): * Margherita with Prosciutto - tomato sauce, homemade mozzarella, Pecorino Romano, basil, extra virgin olive oil * Calzone - tomato sauce, homemade mozzarella, fresh ricotta, salami, Pecorino Romano, basil, extra virgin olive oil Pizza Speciale (special pizza): * Noci e Zucchini - smoked buffalo mozzarella, cream of walnut, zucchini, basil, extra virgin olive oil Senza Glutine (gluten-free pizza): * Margherita - tomato sauce, homemade mozzarella, Pecorino Romano, basil, extra virgin olive oil The various antipasti balls are small, but delicious. They're lightly fried, crispy, not too greasy, and flavorful. I like both the Arancini and Fritattine. I recommend one order for everyone 1-2 people. The fried pizzas are excellent. They're my favorite items on the menu here. You can't go wrong with either the Montanara Genovese or the Montanara Starita. The Montanara Starita seems to be the quintessential pizza at Don Antonio. The sharp, distinct flavor of the tomato sauce really shines through. The crusts on the fried pizzas are a bit thicker than the typical Neapolitan pizza. The dough is also crispier, but still maintains that appetizing, hearty chew. I think the Genovese is the tastier of the two just because of the savory ground pork. The Calzone is also great. Listed under the red pizza section, the calzone sports the same crispy, chewy dough as the fried pizzas and it's filled with succulent cheeses. This isn't your typical Americanized calzone. This is an authentic Neapolitan calzone. The red and white pizzas I've tried have been OK. The Quattro Formaggi and Margherita with Prosciutto are slightly underwhelming mainly because much superior versions can be had elsewhere in Atlanta. I'm not a fan of the Noci e Zucchini pizza nor the gluten-free Margherita pizza. The former didn't taste very good and the latter seemed overly doughy with too much of a burnt, char taste from the crust. Service can be slow and it's difficult to communicate with some of the servers at times (language barrier). In summary, stick with the fried apps, fried pizzas, and calzone.

This was hard to rate. Probably a 3.5 in my book. It was the last spot on our 3 Napoli pizza restaurant tour. The restaurant is located right off West Paces Ferry Rd near Roswell Rd in the same shopping plaza as Flywheel. The restaurant was a good size w/plenty of seating. The menu is very extensive. They have white and red pizzas, calzones, gluten free, and some of their own specialty pizzas. They also have a large selection of appetizers and salads. I started with the arancini are fried rice balls with ham. They serve two with each order. They were ok. I've definitely had better at other Napoli joints. And pretty small too. Almost bite size. Every other place I've been to you could easily share a ball. My main entree was the Materdei calzone. It's a calzone filled with ricotta cheese and Italian salami then lightly fried. The ricotta cheese was great and the fried dough was pretty good. This thing is huge too. Where most calzones are a pizza folded in half, this is two whole pizzas sandwiched together. Pretty awesome. They don't serve with marinara sauce on the side which was weird. Probably in my top 5 calzones. I also tried a few other pizzas which I can't name, but overall they were decent. This place has the best crust. The best. The toppings on the pizzas were good but nothing mind blowing. I can say the same about the sauce. But the crust... Overall I was pleased. I'm only ranking it a 3 because the other places I tried were better, but still pretty solid choice with lots of options. Recommended

We came in a large group and the staff was very attentive! Our food was served super fast and it was so delicious! I ordered the panini and the ingredients tasted fresh. There's no substitute or add ons allowed on the panini. Nice, modern industrial appearance.

We came for my brothers birthday with family (parents) and all 3 of our boyfriends/girlfriends. It started out ok but had a bit of issues. Nothing that ruined the evening but it was a bit of work... Ordered 3 vodka tonics and got pizza before drinks. They arrived with almost no tonic, so so strong. Straight vodka. I ordered white pizza it came out with tomato sauce. We finally got over the language barrier and figured out that the tonic gun was out and was giving us only sofa. Besides all that nonsense the food was delicious. Just needed a bit of work to get to the best level of service. Everyone was very friendly and I'll come back again!

I'm giving Don Antonio's a five star rating as a pizza place....not all Five Stars are the same. As a pizza place however Don Antonio's is top notch. First you have to know the place has been blessed with whatever rating the Italians give to let you know this is "real" pizza. They use the double 0 flour; they brought the ovens over from Italy; they make the Mozzarella in a little cheese room you can observe from the dining room. This is "real" pizza unlike anything I ever saw in Italy, but it sure tastes fantastic! I'll start with the pizza recommendations but you need to remind me to go back to the salads, because they were exceptional. Hold that thought, because who wants to read about salads in a review for a pizza place?? The pizzas are amazing, and they are amazing for several reasons. First, the dough is excellent, super light and not greasy at all. It's got just the right amount of "snap" to it...so use your gluten points on this stuff. It's excellent. The oven firing is perfect. These things are hot, so they come out with no grease but light and flaky with just a bit of crunch on the bottom, and nice big bubbles around the topping at the edge. The cheese and sauce are excellent but it's really the toppings that make the pizza...unless you're talking about the margherita pizza, which you should be, in which case those are these toppings. You need to try the following: pistachio pizza, just a dusting of pistachio on the crust. Amazing. Diavola, again, wow!! OK, for salads, I mentioned these guys make their own cheese, right? So try the caprese salad, probably the best traditional salad from Capri in Atlanta. Also, there is a fennel salad that is absolutely off the chain. Get that two of those, one to take home because you never prepare fennel yourself do you? It's way too difficult and you do all that work for such a small amount. Desserts, like you need a dessert, right? But remember you had a salad, so desserts are OK!! Roberto brought us out some kind of Italian funnel cake with chocolate sauce drizzled all over the place. Now I don't have to go to the State Fair this year. Don Antonio's has won Best of Atlanta for pizza in a couple of publications this year, and I can totally see why. This place beats every other pizza I've had in Atlanta.

Don Antonio is a good pizza place, and if you are in the area, it isn't a bad place to stop and have dinner. It also is great because it has a gluten free pizza, that my boyfriend said was pretty decent. The traditional red-sauce pizza, left a little bit to be desired. The sauce didn't stand out very much and the ingredients didn't feel the freshest. If the price point was a bit lower, it would have been just fine, but you get can a better traditional italian-style pizza at Anticos or Ammazza.

so lets do this review the New york way! so i went to don antonio, for a UYE event showcasing their many selection of pizzas. heres some of the pro and cons i had about this place overall Pros: -The decor was welcoming, from the wine glasses to the way the tables were set out got to say this place was aiming for greatness! -Of course the yelpers i went with, were five stars they welcomed me with open arms and made me feel very at home being in Atlanta. -The restaurant had tons of space so accompany groups of 20+ isnt a problem for them. -I did notice there is a full bar in this place and the drinks from what i saw look really appealing to the eye -the waiters were very humble and gave us a bit of details as to what toppings were in each pizza and offered us water as needed Cons -The main thing i want to have when eating pizza, would have to be consistency! pizza came out soggy at the dough and thats would be mainly due to the baking time of the dough. it clearly wasnt able to hold the giant amounts of tomato/white sauce and toppings that was served on top of the pizza selections. -the layout was good however the bar was located towards the front where it was hidden from the area we were sitting at. for anyone who didnt look up this place in advance a person would have no clue that this place had a bar. - for the quality of food experience the prices were a bit pricey so come with the intent to spend more than 25 bucks. Overall I did like this place but i would try out the other dishes. im pretty sure pasta is their strong suit,so next time ill come and try the pasta dishes. till next time Atlanta.

If we are going pizza vs pizza, then I think I would go Antico's. I like the lean purist mission of Antico just to serve great pizza. However, if you are looking for more of a dinning experience then head over to Don Antonios. In reality, I don't if it would be fair to compare Antico vs Don Antonio's. Both center around great pizza but one might simply might be more casual while the other is trying to offer an experience. I personally just want to good pizza. Lots of choicees in entrees, and seems to have a cool drink menu bar. I believe the owners do actually help manage the place which is always a plus.

The pizza is clearly 5 stars. The restaurant and the table set look a bit family style restaurant to us, so we typically sit at the bar. The restaurant has never been super packed (I have been there more than 5 times) and I am okay with that. Apparently, we don't have the typical Southern Pizza taste as I prefer Baraonda pizza way over Antico. Don Antonio is now our favorite pizza in town and just by chance, we have been to the original Starita pizzeria in Napoli which is a must according to our travel guide (the only thing we did in Napoli after a visit in Pompeji). Servers are very nice at the bar and always have a small chat with the guests.

Don Antonio was our last stop on the UYE Quarterback Shuffle Pizza Tour and I was all hyped up considering it was recently named one of the best Pizzas in the U.S.--of course I am skeptical of who paid off who to get on these lists. Once we arrived, we were served water instantly but we waited and waited to order our drinks. In fact, we waited so long, that we ordered our food and drinks all at the same time. Eventually, some folks got their drinks while Cynthia J. and I sat with our lips puckered with angst awaiting our cocktails--it was just one of those days where a drink was necessary. I peered over and saw those lovely cocktails sitting on the bar mat all lonely with no owner. Finally, after the food started to arrive, I asked the waiter and he rushed over and grabbed them. I was very excited about our order. Cynthia J. and I wanted to share so we could try two pizzas...we went with the Diavola pizza (essentially a margherita pizza with hot sopressata) and the ultimate treasure, the coveted Truffle Burrata Pizza. The sopressata was decent but doesn't match the quality of the sopressata at Sapori di Napoli...just being honest. Overall, still a good pizza. A bit pricey considering the size of the pizza. Next, the Truffle Burrata Pizza topped with prosciutto, grape tomatoes, basil, homemade Burrata, and black and white truffles. I am obsessed with truffles. The first bite was total "O" face. Although I thought it was definitely luscious, it tasted more like it was doused with truffle oil rather than the sprinklings of actual truffles. Although the pizza was delicious, they just weren't up to snuff as far a quality of toppings, price-point, and service. Nice server, but oh so slow. Thank goodness my wonderful company made up for it.

Atlanta is just packed with restaurants I've never heard of, and this one even made a national list proclaiming it has the city's best pizza! Well, my ignorance was abolished by way of a UYE held here a few days ago. I didn't take the opportunity to check out the whole restaurant, but our crowd was well situated at a big table set off from the main dining area. In fact there were two big tables set up for two different groups and the restaurant had no problems handling the volume, so I'd say this is a pretty good spot for hosting an event. For us, service was excellent. Given the size of the group, it did take a while for the food to come out and there was a small amount of time between first out and last but nothing to carp about. Our server took some well-appreciated time to explain his menu. In doing so, he made up my mind, in fact. The pizza menu is extensive and they have other entrees, as well. I opted for the 'signature' fried margherita-style pizza and it was delicious - the frying is light and doesn't create a greasy calorie bomb. OMG, this may well be the best in the city. Even my wife, who prefers white pizza topped with rabbit food, liked it. Looking around the group's choices, I spied quite a few choices that I'd order, such as a proscuitto-truffle pizza. Rustica salad with yummy artichoke quarters. I could eat that by itself for a meal. OK, three of them. The fennel salad is unusual but tasty too, if you like fennel. This is not Domino's or even Fellini's, so bring money, especially if you want a truffle pizza. Recommended.

I can't say I liked it better than Antico as it's like comparing apples to oranges, or Apple to and Android. :P The atmosphere is definitely more upscale than Antico pizza. It was pretty early when we walked in, so not many customers were in at that time. The size of the pizza is about 12" We ordered a Montanara Starita which was recommended as one of the most popular item on the menu, has a lightly fired dough and a mushroom calzone. The dough is SOUR! It is actually a sourdough bread which wasn't too bad but much preferred the Antico version of the dough. The lightly fried dough did make it little oily for my taste bud albeit it was very different. We became a very big fan of Buffalo cheese when we went to Joe's Pizza in NY and though it would be something similar with the offering. Wrong! not only it's different but it has a smoked flavor to it, to me it was a little overwhelming. Personally a little disappointing. The calzone however was great! Looks very different from what I am used to, but it is very very flavorful. Actually preferred the home made mozzarella to a buffalo cheese. With trying this calzone, I am eager to try the Capua next time I come in. Like I said from the get go, it is not an Antico pizza. It's not the same, and it's in many ways very very different. I guess one can say it's like comparing Moe's and Chipotle. They make the same stuff in a different way. The ingredient is very fresh, however I prefer the Antico's way of getting the chopped garlic and olive oil and all that other bells and whistles. They did bring me a good quality olive oil though. For an Italian pizza that's baked in a wood fired oven, I'd definitely say try it and how you like it. Update: Upon talking with my wife, she noticed a bunch of staffs overlooking all the female customers including my wife. Some occasionally coming out from the back to check on some of other female customers. Granted my wife is very beautiful and hard to ignore! lol, however, upon hearing such incident, makes me wonder if the managers/owners were around when we visited. She mentions that made her feel uncomfortable.

Grossly overpriced. As many have said on these posts, not the most friendly of places, don't ask for anything extra. But the prices are just out of touch with the atlanta market. One pizza on the menu is $21, and this is a one person pizza! I went for the gluten free pizza, and was terribly dissapointed. I am thankful to them for having the option, but the crust was thick and card board like in texture. I know good gluten free pizza, in fact had just returned from Rome where I had some of the best near St Peter's. This place and mellow mushroom are the worst crust in town.

Yooooo! This is some good pizza! I ordered their specialty pizza called the Montanara Starita ($13) which sounds so simple. Just some fried dough, tomato sauce, and smoked buffalo mozzarella finished in the wood burning stove. But wow that pizza was delicious. I've just been having some good pizzas lately and this place spits out some excellent pies. That smoky tasting cheese was simply marvelous and the sauce was the perfect amount and complimented the pizza perfectly. Yum! The pizza I got was personal size and cut into four pieces. However, others got pizzas that were larger and more pieces. Also, they have some great looking salads that I would love to get a hold of. The space is really nice and comfy, but I will say that it was really loud and I had a very hard time speaking with my table mates. Service was great. We were a rather large group and the servers were knowledgeable and accommodating. I really love the patio area. It looked very inviting and spacious. I can't wait to sit out there sipping on a nice glass of wine and delighting in that wonderful pizza. What I suggest is that everyone get over there immediately and make your mouth happy. I know I will!

Completely inflexible with the menu, to the point that they wouldn't substitute one red sauce for another on my pizza. Seriously? Such haughtiness is off-putting. Nevermind. I'll go to one of the other ten identical pizza restaurants that will be happy to accommodate my request, for a lot less money. I'm the paying customer, after all...

Pizza was great! Loved the dough and also, found out if you're a new customer they give you this yummy little appetizer which is a sample of their dough and has sauce in the middle. Loved it! Pizza was so fresh too! Lovely place, friendly service, and delicious food.

My carry out was worth the awkward, unwelcome feeling I had coming in. It seems everyone has a role and there and it needed to be discussed who took my order - I front of me. But it all worked out... I really can't say that I'm familiar with Napoli style pizza. I DO love NYC style pizza for certain. This is probably my second. First impressions aside, the manager or owner or whom ever she was, who helped me Review the menu section by section was lovely. I decided on the fried dough pizza, which was delicious! The Dough was flavorful, airy and left me wanting more. The sauce complemented it perfectly. Again, despite my initial impressions, I will go back and dine in. The atmosphere was charming, with a little bit of old world, casual feel and a place I would like to go either alone, with friends or on a date.

The Antico alternative, and in many ways superior. It's a bit "hidden" but definitely worth finding. We started with the Caprese (made with home made mozzarella) was outstanding. The pizza's are very creative, and EXCELLENT! My daughter ordered the Pizza Salad, which I thought was just weird, but it was amazing and something we will definitely order again. Wine is by glass, bottle or litre (very european.) Wine list is solid, for a pizza place. What separates this place form Antico is the atmosphere and service. I am a New Jersey native, and the people and service at Don Antonio's brought me back to NJ 1982. Roberto, one of the founders, took time to meet & greet and share some of his story. Our waiter (Xavier) is a riot, and made the experience fun. Roberto gave my kids a complimentary pizza/nutella desert thing, and my wife and I homemade lemoncella (very Italian thing to do.) All was outstanding! We will definitely be back.

Overall, I'd say Don Antonio is relatively on par with its predecessor in this location, STG. They make an excellent pizza, but it's a notch below the Antico and Campania level. The lunch special is great - an 8" pizza and a salad for around $12 depending on what you get. It might not be enough for a big eater, but it's enough for most people. I also have to give them bonus points for some original pies. Specifics: -Crust - great chew/texture and nicely cooked. I do prefer a little more flavor, but very good crust overall. -Tomato Sauce - This is a darn good sauce. Maybe a touch on the sweet side, but one of the best pizza sauces I've had -Rustica Salad - a little parmigiano reggiano on this salad would go a long way. Good, fresh greens, and decent prosciutto, but not a $10 salad. -Margherita with Prosciutto - pretty basic, solid pie, but my least favorite of what we tried. But still good. -Montanara Starita - "fried" pizza - they fry the dough a bit, before topping it an finishing it in the oven. I really like the smoked mozzarella on top, although it is a bit overwhelming. Definitely worth trying. -Capua (mozzarella, Prosciutto, arugula, pecorino gran cru, basil, and extra virgin olive oil) - an outstanding pie. All the flavors came together beautifully here -Pistacchio e Salsiccia (pistachio pesto, sausage, mozzarella, pecorino romano, basil, evoo) - a unique pie that is a home run. I want to go back just for this pizza. Highly recommended. A couple other random comments: 1. Doesn't look like they did much to improve the horrible acoustics STG had. It was not even 1/4 full at lunch and it still seemed loud. I would imagine it's very loud when full. 2. Pet peeve alert - They did not have paper towels in the men's room - only a blow drier. I'm not a germaphobe, but this is both annoying and unsanitary (studies show the blow driers are less sanitary than not washing your hands at all). I hope Don Antonio is more successful than its predecessor - it's definitely a worthwhile establishment.

The staff that served us did a great job of providing recommendations and helping us navigate through the massive menu. The overall vibe was cool with diners getting a view of the pizza ovens and the kitchen being transparent with glass windows surrounding it. Although prices may seem high at first glance, our table of six only footed an $80 bill before tip which I thought was very reasonable considering the variety we had. I really hope word of mouth spreads about this place because I know the location isn't doing it any favors. It is a spot you could pass by every day and never know it was there as it is tucked in the back corner.

-Bad service--waitress had to come back to ask us our orders three times even though she had a pad of paper while taking the order; ordered a drink with Tito's vodka and when it didn't have Tito's the bartender gave attitude; water wasn't refilled quickly

So let me start by saying this is really good pizza. The quality of the dough and the ingredients is top notch. That being said - you will pay for those exceptional ingredients. This is not a "let's order pizza for all our friends" or "lets have a cheap pizza dinner" kind of place. This is a nice, albeit casual, sitdown dinner kind of place. We started with the buratta cheese appetizer - which they make in house - followed by the signature Montanara Starita. All were fabulous. The Montanara Starita sounds like it would be greasy and heavy (a friend pizza?!) - but it was light and crunch and wonderful. The cheese was great too - who doesn't like a good fresh cheese with tomatoes, balsamic, and prosciutto on the side? We really like this place and hope it sticks around. We liked the last pizza place in this location too and it did not :(, but we are hopeful based on the good reviews and excellent pizza that it will. On a side note - they have a completely separate kitchen for making gluten free pizzas. Our dinner-mate has Celiac Disease and she said the gluten free pizza was excellent (maybe the best she's ever had) and she was really impressed by how many varieties they had in the gluten free section of the menu.

Here I go again, reviewing either a burger or pizza place. I really should weigh 300 lbs. Anyway, this place is very, VERY good and I know my pizza. Like Antico, love Ammazza, like Varuni and LOVE this joint's pizza. First we got the salad which was simple field greens with delicious olives and artichokes and just the right amount of dressing. Perfect. Then we go the Capricossa pizza which is always my favorite anywhere and it was spectacular. Crust is a little thicker than Varuni and Amazza and I liked it way better. Service is very friendly and warm. We will be back!!

We came back last night as I was craving this place again. The experience was definitely different than my other visit due to the hostess that was there 3/10/14. See, I hurt my ankle and was on an orthopedic boot. Upon arrival we scoped out the restaurant and the place was pretty empty (like 75% empty). When the hostess greeted us the bf asked if it would be possible to sit at one of the empty tables that seats four so I can prop up my foot. She immediately says she can't since it's not allowed for a party of 2 to sit at a table with 4 chairs. We were both shocked along with a random gentleman (customer) that was also waiting by the hostess stand. First I thought she was joking. The bf comes to my defense like the chivalrous gentleman that he is and asks her again and explains again that I have a hurt ankle/foot and need to keep my foot up on a chair. She still says no and says that they can't do that when it's packed/busy. THE PLACE WAS NOT BUSY AT ALL. Then she says that she will need to ask someone and we say please do. The bf finally says if we need to we can just sit at a 2 person (small table) tables as long as I can prop my foot on a chair. Please keep in mind from my previous review that I mentioned the smaller tables are close to each other. The hostess walks over to this gentleman (owner/manager/Chief of Tables/Table Officer) and we see them talking. Thinking that the place is near empty we thought the gentleman that she was talking to was going to be more reasonable and would allow us to sit at the bigger table with 4 chairs because 1) place was empty 2) it was a weeknight 3) I'm clearly in a medical boot for my hurt ankle 4) the place was empty (yes, I listed that twice). Unfortunately, he was just as unreasonable, unacommodating, and inflexible as the hostess. The verdict was that they will put us in one of the small two seater table and allow me to put my foot up on a chair next to the table. I felt uncomfortable as we were sitting at the end table closest to my new best friend, the hostess and her stand, and basically the entry way of the dining section.... Very disappointed in the lack of accommodations at this new establishment last night. Definitely put a damper on the experience. In regards of the food last night, one of the pizza, Capua pizza, topped with fresh arugula and prosciutto, was good. Dough was a delicious canvas for that pizza. The other pizza was fried(?) and came in a thicker crust like a Pizza Hut pizza. I wasn't a fan of this pizza. The cheese and basil was too sparse and definitely far from wow.

If you you are looking for the best authentic Italian pizza in Atlanta, then I highly recommend this place. They have a lot more pizza's to choose from than Antico's, have an amazing tiramisu for dessert and their cappuccino to die for. I've been to Antico's and Varuni's. For price I would choose Antico's (especially since you can bring your own wine or beer) but for quality I would go for Don Antonio's.

Wonderful place! The lady carol that works there was awesome! She is one of the reasons that I am coming back. The food is soooo good!! I never had pizza so good before. You should try the fried pizza that was suggested by carol. It's great!!! The house wine choices are great as well!!! All around great place! Give it a try. You won't be disappointed!

I am only giving one star because it's a beautiful location! The service was terrible, there were only 5 tables in the whole restaurant that were full so we expected a quick turnaround, NOPE... Good was burnt, average at best, waiter knew nothing of the menus ingredients or wine( which is limited) and I completely understand no substitutes, but explain that and be personal about it, especially when the food is sub par

A brief review, as was our experience. Arrived at 7 on a Monday night, restaurant was deserted, literally not a single other guest. We were seated, glanced at menu, seemed a bit expensive, then looked at the wine list. The least expensive red was $46, and from their straight up. Staggering costs for a pizza joint with a big screen tv. Our server was very pleasant about it, but have to believe that there is a correlation between the lack of business and menu costs. Too bad, we are willing to pay more for a quality product, but not willing to be taken advantage of.

We got two items and both were excellent -- the Montanara Starita (their specialty) and a gluten-free margherita. The gluten-free crust is home-made and is the best I've ever had, not even close. Just amazing! Will definitely be back.

I came here with a group because we were in the area and we decided last minute to walk in here. Unfortunately, I quickly realized that this was a detrimental decision. The first red flag was there was not a soul in the restaurant, was literally like a ghost town. Secondly, we had to ASK for a server to greet us and come to the table because we wanted to ask questions in regards to the menu. Thirdly, I have an allergy and needed to modify my order so I did not get deathly ill. Apparently, they have a strict policy on not altering the menu in any shape or form. I then asked to speak to with the manager, (who did at least apologize) , she refused to provide any options. I would never come back due to the lack of service, the ridiculous policy of no modifications and the horrific atmosphere. Please enter at your own risk as I believe this location is literally cursed because the previous restaurant was just as bad!

I'm in love with this place. 1st) The outdoor patio is charming. 2nd) the pizzas are delish. and 3rd ) the service is always lovely. My boyfriend and I have been 3 times, we love the pizza (and wine list) and service. It's super authentic. PLUS I'm doing occasional gluten free, and this is by far the BEST gluten free pizza around.

Easily one of the best spots for pizza in Atlanta. The staff, especially the bar crew are excellent, drinks are well done. A contender for top 20 in ATL. The ambiance makes for a great place to catch up with friends. Even when full you can hear people talk.

Stellar food however the service was only so-so. We had the pistachio and old faithful margherita, both were excellent. It was a $50 lunch so we expected a little more responsive server....

Four of us went last Sunday night. Since learning about Don Antonio, we all had been looking so forward to our visit. Unfortunately, the service and food were both way below par. Not busy, only about 12 other diners. The menu is huge and confusing. Our waiter attempted to explain the menu in a rapid-fire canned spiel that none of us could follow. When we asked him to slow down, his response was "I'm from New York, I go fast." That irked the 2 native New Yorkers in our party. Obviously, our request had irritated our waiter - he almost ignored us the rest of the evening. We had trouble several times getting his attention (he was much too busy chatting with the other idle staff) and we actually got better service when we snagged one of his associates. The food: Rustica salad (spring mix, artichokes, prosciutto, olives) was smallish, very tasty, but no value at $10. The Montanara Genovese fried pizza (fried dough topped with pork, onion & parm) certainly sounded more interesting than it was. We thought it was not very tasty and the crust was gummy and chewy, $13. A red pizza, Margherita with Sausage and Mushrooms, was better but not really anything above ordinary, $17. Don Antonio is a very nice space but they have a long way to go in both food and service.

We had very high hopes Don Antonio's but could not have been more disappointed. Our service was poor, the food surprisingly average, and its very expensive. I tried their special fried crust Montanara Starita pizza, which came with all of the basil topping planted on one side of the pizza. It looked like it had been prepared at a quick service pizza concept. It was ok but I would not get it again. My wife got one the neapolitan pizza's (over $20) and the crust was badly burned. It never should have left the kitchen. We were there on a Thursday night at 7pm and it was nearly empty. Now I know why. I think this concept has tremendous potential, but they are having serious execution issues the night we were there. It's a real risk.

Very good place, low key for now and top notch pizza. The bar has drinks with real fruit juices, which add a little something special. Overall the pizzas were very good. If you like Antico, like we do, give this a try. We'll be back again. Went back today and got the Diavola pizza. It was spicy and good.

Sparse lunch crowd on a Friday. Great service, sat at the bar to watch the heavenly pies cooked to perfection! Better atmosphere than antico, but the pizza is not at antico's level. Close but comparing margarita pizza. Antico wins. But their specialty pizza Montanara Starita is the undisputed champion! Nothing like it anywhere and highly recommend a visit here just for it.

Mostly it was good. Didn't think much of their signature fried pizza...too doughy. It was pricey. Two for dinner, 1/2 liter of essentially house wine and it was $90. It is next to the St. Regis....so I guess that is what you get? It is upscale, but it is still a pizzeria. Makes Pero's look like a bargain basement.

We have been to this restaurant quite a few times. Definitely the best gluten free pizza in Buckhead area with great out door seating when the weather permits. The food and service are usually very very good. In terms of service, normally our server was Xavier and he is funny, very personable, and always makes it a great experience. The 2 star rating is for our last visit when we had a different server because it happened to be Xavier's night off. Not a problem, we always love meeting new people. This server was pretty rude to us and pretty much ignored us most of our visit. Now this was an unplanned visit and We dressed pretty casual in hoodies and jeans due to the crappy weather. I only mention that because through observance the server had no problem taking care of the 2 fancier dressed groups and their tables that were in our area. He was much friendlier and very attentive with them. Funnily enough the Front of the house manager must have noticed because he wound up finishing taking care of our table. This has bothered me for a good 3 months now. I realize that this was a one time bad experience out of all the good experiences we had here, but it has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I haven't had the urge to go back since. We came here frequently because of the level of service we had received and how we felt during our visit. People will always remember how you make them feel during an experience and that server managed to make me feel like I didn't matter.

After reading the reviews we were excited to try Don Antonio's, so weren't worried when the restaurant was almost empty at 7:15 on Thursday night when we got there. Now we know why... The pizza isn't bad, but it isn't the best I've had by far, and yes, I've had pizza in NY and Italy. This isn't even near the best in Atlanta. But that's not the problem. Get ready to be told "no" to anything that isn't specifically on the menu, even if you are willing to pay extra. Can I have some olives on my Caprese? "No". Can I have Salami and Onion on my pizza? "No, you can have salami or onion but not both." For real. And the worst part is we spent over $80 for a pizza that wasn't what we wanted, a Caprese with 3 tiny slices of tomato, two beers, a cocktail and a glass of wine. Won't be back. Ever.

Wow I thought I'd had great pizza before but this place blew me out of the water, the best pizza I've ever had in my life great venue with an awesome patio... I can't wait to go back, I'm literally craving the pizza again and I was there just a few hours ago!!!

We came to eat here 48 hours after a stellar review in the local newspaper and we saw them on a tough night....too many diners for too little kitchen....as hard-working as the staff was, there was literally no way to keep up with the demand. We had 4 appetizers...all fried...none memorable...but the pizzas were truly remarkable and the space is warm and cozy. I would have gone 3 stars still....but we had a server -- Xavier --- who was so organized and so charming - that we couldn't help but want to come back. (we'll give it a 2nd chance once the trendy crowd is gone).

Pizza is very authentic and light tasting which is great. Not the heavy, fast food type of pizzas. The calzone is delicious as well. Everything is just so fresh! I went about a month and a half ago when they were fairly new and slow when I dined there (it was during the snow storm and everything was basically closed except for Don Antonio's). Small, comfortable environment. Our waiter and the owner were real nice however there were times where my friends and I had to wait a while for the waiter to tend to us even thought it was a slow night. They did give us complimentary dough bites with Nutella... Amazingly tasty! Will definitely return though to try more items off of their menu! Lots of variety!

Great spot and atmosphere but too pricey for what it is. They advertise lunch specials starting at five dollars, but that is really not the case. I Think they would do more business if they had better prices. It is hard to encourage my coworkers to go there for lunch. The dinner prices are pretty absurd to. If they could find a happy medium, their business would be much more successful.

After hearing rave reviews, we came to this restaurant with our friend who owns a wine shop in Buckhead. We brought our own wine, since we had read there was likely no corkage costs. Not true. We were charged $25 for corkage, despite a wine list of only a dozen overpriced and not good wines. We were told to open our own wine, and until we asked, given crappy glasses. We ordered the "special" as an appetizer, which was supposed to come with fried dough, red sauce, basil and smoked mozzarella. We also ordered a marguerita pizza at the same time, as we had a small child with us. We got fried dough with cold tomato sauce, no cheese. We then ordered a "speciality pizza". We didn't get our pizza for over a half hour, despite the tables next to us getting their pizza. We were told that our pizza was a specialty and takes longer. We didn't get the original pizza we ordered until after we ordered and were served our main meal. The manager told us he didn't care that we thought the corkage fee was over priced, particularly since no other restaurant in town (except bacchanalia) charges $25 and lobster bar next door charges nothing. Our waitress ignored us much of the night. We are so disappointed, as this restaurant is the closest restaurant to our house and we had hoped it would be as good as touted. Even telling the manager we would be writing a review did not change our service.

This was my 4th trip here and I have to say I was very disappointed. The rules they have for eating here are beyond words. We first asked for additional sauce for an app with sauce and they said no. They do not give out additional sauce. OK. Then we asked for some Parmeggiano cheese for one of our 4 pizzas and they said no they do not do that. Then when the bill came I noticed that my 2 drinks (the same drinks) were different prices. So I asked what was that about and our waitress said on the first one she did not charge me for the ice !!! Well that just about put me over the edge. Looking at the bill for 4 apps and 4 pizzas and 4 drinks and one bottle of wine it was $294.00 I have a feeling they think their pizza is made of gold. This is not fine dining and if I am going to spend that kind of money for 5 people then I will go elsewhere.

I used to like STG Pizza, the previous restaurant in the same location where Antonio By Starita is now. But I must say that Antonio is a step up, with the authenticity of Napolitan pizza as main attraction. I tried the homemade burrata as appetizer and it was delicious. I also had the Pistachio and Sausage pizza and it was really good too. I think this restaurant brings serious competition to Antico and Sapore di Napoli in Decatur. Definitely will return.

As a Chicago girl recently moved to the south. Their pizza tasted good. Be sure order well done as the middle tends to be a bit soggy if you don't ask for a little extra cook time. Don't ask for any substitutions as you will get a snooty remark from the staff. Expensive for single serve pizza

We ate here tonight and it does not live up to the previous reviews, we sat at the bar and the bartender was the most disinterested person I have ever seen in any restaurant setting. Minimal eye contact- would say "I'm listening, " this will be our only trip here. I ordered the Pizza Fritta Genovese, the crust was awesome the toppings were salty which I expected but when I asked for a side of sauce to make it more palatable-since it had no sauce at all I was told "we can't do that, house rules no sides of sauce and no parmesan." Very rude, I totally get that they want you to enjoy the food as it was intended and not "cover up" the flavor but if the customer wants sauce or chese then they should get it. The way he delivered this info made him even more awkward and stilted. My husband had the Margherita Pizza and it was really good. Unless they make the experience more welcoming and not so restricted they won't be around too long. Also the bathrooms are in a different building down a hall kinda weird.

Even though it's been here for over a year, my husband and I decided last minute to go out since we made no plans for dinner. The place was almost full on a Saturday night. I thought the vibe was cool for a pizza joint. We were seated right away. It took awhile to get water for the table but not terribly long and then a little while longer someone came by to take our drink order. We ordered salads to start- both were excellent. We shared a Margarita pizza with prosciutto and mushrooms. It's enough to share if you are not too hungry or start with something else. I saw everyone else getting their own pizzas but it seemed too big for just one person. The crust is excellent. Really light and flavorful. I wasn't aware of the "rules" at this restaurant but luckily we didn't ask for anything other than some red pepper. My husband loved the pizza. I was not as enamored. It was good, just not excellent in my opinion. For the size of the pizza compared to the price, I guess I expected it to be amazing. Service is a detriment to the place in my opinion. Very inattentive and there is a borderline control chaos atmosphere of the staff here which bothered me a bit. Overall I may come back because I live close by and my husband liked it- but I wouldn't rush to be back.

This review is for the gluten-free pizza. I have eaten at the sister restaurant in New York, and it was the best gluten-free pizza I've ever had. Well, they've brought the magic to Atlanta! In my opinion, this is the best gluten-free pizza in Atlanta--unlike places that use pre-made crusts, this is house-made, and it is chewy and has real char from the oven. Heaven! This is "fancy" pizza, and they don't do substitutions (i.e., you can't just order pepperoni and mushroom). We had the prosciutto and arugula, but they have tons of combos to choose from. The interior of the restaurant is nice, with individual tables and two long communal tables in a slightly separate area, which would be good for groups. It is much larger than it looks from the outside. The location is not very visible from the street, so I hope word gets out.

Absolutely love this restaurant! With locations in Naples, Italy and in New York we are are so lucky they chose to come to Atlanta. Have been there four times now and enjoyed each experience--the pizza is great/fun with lots of choices. Extremely friendly staff. Great casual atmosphere. For now the owner, the owner's daughter and manager from NY are living in Atlanta for several months to get the restaurant up and running. The daughter firmly runs the kitchen making a lot of the pizzas herself and teaching the staff (open to see from the tables--or better yet, grab a couple seats at the kitchen bar and watch up close) A wonderful addition to Buckhead. Check it out and make a point to talk to the owners.

I was somewhat apprehensive about coming to Don Antonio, given the mysterious closing of STG. I'm so happy that we didn't wait any longer before trying it out though. The renovations render it a completely different space, with a different feel. The gigantic horseshoe 'bar' seating area is gone, and has been replaced with smaller tables. This is fantastic for those of us who detest the forced huge communal table seating which is so pervasive in Atl these days. I started out with one of the tastiest cocktails I've had in the city, the Italian old-fashioned. It uses Macallan 12 yr and barrel aged bitters, and was delicious. The little lady enjoyed her cocktail (strawberry purée/prosecco) as well. We chose to try the trademark dish, the montara starita - basically lightly fried dough, with smoked buffalo mozzarella, basil, and a red sauce. This was a unique dish, and unlike anything I've ever had. The buffalo mozzarella added a unique depth of flavor, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We also split a Margherita pizza with salami. Of course the gold standard for Neapolitan pizza in Atlanta for the past several years has been Antico. DA still has the famed Acunto ovens from STG, but I feel that the pizzas are much tastier than their predecessor. We both felt that DA's Margherita was the first pizza where the tasty dough and perfect char to chewiness ratio rivaled Antico's. I should note that the menu at DA is huge, and even includes a gluten free portion, so anyone should be able to find something they like. The single negative that I have to note is that I love to raid the 'condiment bar' at antico to 'dress up' my pizza (Calabrese chilies, cheese, garlic, extra fresh basil, and oil for the crust) DA doesn't offer any of these, when I asked the waitress. I assume it's from a desire that customers experience the pizza as intended, and I understand that it's a different setup from Antico, but in my opinion, offering a few of those options would make a huge difference. Service was pleasant, and the manager was very hands on, supporting the servers, and conversing with guests. He set the tone for an excellent atmosphere, and I was impressed with his genuine caring for all the guests. Since I live right around the corner, I know that I'll be frequenting DA, especially when I don't want to deal with the craziness that is Antico. I did see someone bringing their own bottle of wine while we were eating, so perhaps they don't have a corkage fee - I'll have to look into that next visit and update.

A little too loud for a date and the service was maybe a bit slow, but the pizza was excellent and you have to get the mozzarella appetizer!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
