I have been pretty sick with pneumonia and stuck in the house for days. I needed to get some fresh air so we went for breakfast at The Corner Cafe before an early showing of Persepolis at Phipps (what a great movie and they were robbed last night). I am normally an egg gal, but my tummy was craving something sweet and bread-y. So, I got the crme brle French toast, an individual pot of the French press coffee from their extensive coffee selection and some fresh grapefruit juice. I only made it through about 3/4 of one of the slices, but it was very good. There was nice pool of acidic fruit puree on the bottom of the plate that cut the sweetness of the bread nicely and the fruit was very fresh--even if it was not in season.

Stopped by on Sunday for brunch and had no trouble getting a table around 10:15-10:30. I'd go back for the specialty coffee menu alone. I ordered a french press of Kenyan AA "Miricho Estate," and it was wonderful. Our friends ordered the regular brewed coffee and they said it was good. They also had a Hawaiian Kona and Jamaican Blue, that I wanted to try. I ordered the Two Pan Fried Eggs and Grilled Cheese BLT. The eggs were fried perfectly and the bread was well toasted, but not too tough to chew. Nicely done... My wife ordered the BBQ Shrimp and Grits, which she said was okay but had too much BBQ sauce, which overwhelmed the shrimp and grits. It was a little pricey for breakfast and the size of the portions, but if you're eating in Buckhead - you should expect it.

OMG. Go. Just go. I just had blueberry pancakes, and I'm still drooling.

Formulaic and below average food & concept, it's a mind bender they keep a wait for "brunch" at all, or what I like to call bland food with a 200% markup. Everything looks the part (of a food factory), but misses the soul... a very very common theme in the Buckhead area. Give it a whirl if you don't believe.

My wife and I stopped by on Friday morning, as we were going through Buckhead, a really nice place to grab lunch. The fried green tomato sandwiches were definitely worth it.

Shares the building with Buckhead Bread Company, the commercial bakery that supplies Buckhead Life Restaurants as well as other establishments in the Metro area. Come here for the gourmet sandwiches, they make an excellent chicken salad. Also the lettuce salads are nice here as well. The soups and entrees are hit or miss most times I've tried them. Prices are on the high side, but the quality is worth it. The to-go breads and cakes are incredible.

The French toast is the draw for me, but it's not cheap. I don't think my wife and I have ever gotten out of here for under $40. Case in point: the Applewood-smoked bacon side is $4. Decor-wise, it's definitely time for an update. I think they need to apply some of that bacon mark-up towards a refresh.

Definitely a smart choice for bakery items. Swing by to pick up any of the cakes, freshly baked breads or pastries. While you're at it, you might as will sit down and eat a bite. Corner Cafe is the Buckhead hot spot that will satisfy your sweet tooth and bread craving. They even have samples out if you time your visit right.

The quality of the food and service is 5 star. The extremely high noise level reduces overall assessment to 4. The fried green tomato eggs Benedict is a favorite. Special requests are always handled with ease. The in house bakery makes this place extremely popular. Recommend using Opentable to make reservations. The Buckhead life Group restaurants to not disappoint- this is one of their low profile stars.

Very good eggs benedict! The shrimp and grits is also great. We go periodically and always have a nice time.

All the recent talk about cupcakes made me think about my current favorite place to get a cupcake - Corner Cafe! They have these AMAZING red velvet cupcakes. Honestly, I wish they'd just sell me a tup of the super-creamy cream cheese icing, since it's my favorite part. I also found out that they do gift baskets for the holidays which is a great gift idea. They can put their specialty coffees and homemade artisan breads in there. I think I'm going to pick one up for a few people on my list this holiday season. I adore this place and could easily (and willingly!) put myself into a carb-coma... Heaven!

I ordered a Belgian waffle with blackberries and rasberries. It was delicious. The price was a bit high. My order was $11. However, their takeout bakery items look great.

The brunch here was great with a lot of different choices. My mom had a mozzarella and tomato salad, which I tried a bit of, that was just delicious while my dad got the bbq shrimp and grits, which was packed with flavor and an interesting choice for brunch. I had the sourdough pancakes with fresh blueberries on top and they were amazing. My brothers had the french toast and the pancakes with chocolate chunks, which were both really tasty. The french toast was the best thing and very filling even though they appeared small. The mini muffins serve before the meal were really tasty too. We didn't get any dessert but they all looked really good. Good prices and a very nice setting.

Dropped by the Corner Cafe only to be totally ignored by the hostess while she continued to text on her phone while we waited to be seated. A bit frustrated to say the least, we grabbed a table on our own and were handed menus a few minutes later. I was surprised to see only brunch selections ranging from $13 to $15. I understand this is Buckhead but their prices were highly inflated and their service was sorely lacking. We were never even offered a warm up on our cups of coffee. Sorry Corner Cafe...Buckhead or not...this is not the way to treat your bread and butter. We won't be back.

Had the egg BLT with sweet potato fries. It was amazing!!!! The waiter wasn't very attentive, but I figure it's cause of the ridiculous lunch rush. The place was packed! Totally worth it, though.

I took Nonna to Corner Cafe for brunch. It's a beautiful, sun-lit, crowded, noisy restaurant. Brunch menu only on Saturday and Sunday. Nonna ordered a lamb sandwich hold the top pice of bread, I got the shrimp and grits. The lamb was overcooked, dry and gamey. Lamb like this is why so many Americans don't like lamb. My grits were fine, but the shrimp were overcooked, hard and tasteless. The waiter - super-helpful - replaced Nonna's lamb with eggs benedict and salmon. Lovely. And he took both the shrimp and grits and the lamb off the bill. (Don't worry: I tipped him on the full amount plus some.) Bottom line: great location. Lovely interior. Extraordinary service. But stick with the breakfast-y stuff. Note to owner: time to get a chef back in the kitchen to give the cooks a tune-up.

I've taken a number of people to corner bakery, and tried to meet friends here again. In our group of five we had two children one of which was in a car seat. The hostess, Ashley, insisted that we try to all squeeze into a four-person table. But she was unwilling to let us have a highchair at the end of the table. She said it was a fire hazard even though there was plenty of room (see my pictures.) So with multiple tables open that would easily easily have accommodated us, Ashley insisted that we wait for 15 to 20 minutes. She was unapologetic and completely deadpanned in her face while talking. Mostly Ashley was just annoyed that we didn't want to take one of her tables. Her affect was somewhere between hung over and anti-social, almost no affect at all. This place has really fallen off in service, and I will no longer be taking friends here.

I came here with my mom on my birthday after our nail appointment to grab some mimosas and lunch. Everything looked delicious on the menu and I really wanted a awesome sammie or something fattening like beer and cheese soup (soup of my birthday-day). So I opted for the spicy shrimp tacos with pico and nom side sauces. They serve three very large tacos and it also came with a side. The cucumber onion salad was right up my alley, it was a true highlight. I find myself craving it now and scheming when to stop back in a take some with me. Mom had the fried green tomato BLT, which was great and the sweet potato fries-very tasty! Our waiter was prompt and friendly, we had two mimosas each and one at our hair appointment earlier so maybe we just weren't paying too much attention to how long things were taking. It was my birthday anyways and I enjoyed lunch with my mother very much, I will recommend this spot to anyone and from the other reviews I've read it's probably best to go for lunch instead of breakfast. The menu is pretty extensive and everything sounds fab! Check it out!

Uninspired, assembly line food served by sloppy, uncaring staff... Nothing we had here is worth the price or hassle of trying to brave their waiting area on a weekend morning. After several visits over the years, We won't be back again.

Assisting a wedding brought me to ATL last September, and this cute French cafe gave me my first local taste -- this spot was where we met the bride and POBs for the first time during our weeklong trip Eileen L.'s REFVIEW for Corner Cafe: RELEVANT INFO * In affluent Buckhead community * French-style bakery, great for brunch * Lots of lot parking EXPECTATIONS COMING HERE * None :) FOOD * Powerhouse Bacon Open Face Bagel Sammich ($10.95) -- hearty sized * Vegetarian Omelette ($11.95) -- lumberjack portioned omelette loaded with filling and flavor, probably because of the shiitake mershrooms, rather than the conventional button mershrooms VALUE * For some reason I thought Atlanta prices would be dirt cheap compared to LA, so entrees priced at $10-$15 surprised me -- regardless, generous to describe portion sizes is an understatement IMPRESSION OVERALL * Tasty brunch with decent service ENVIRONMENT / AMBIANCE * Clean, glass sliding door entrance * Odd Picasso-esque art hung on walls around cafe * Has a homey cabin-like feel to the cafe WOW FACTOR * Multiple brunch entree items caught my attention (Breakfast BLT, Salmon something)

This place was a delight. I went with a guest during lunch hour on a Tuesday. I ordered the buffalo shrimp salad and sweet potato fries. Our server was friendly and prompt. I will be back.

One of the worst dining experiences I've had in a while! Where do I begin???!! My friend and I have a lot of experience in the service industries and lord knows we've 'been there' where you are so busy that service falls a bit. But it took 10 or 15 minutes to be greeted by the server. Not even a "I'll be right with you" ? It shouldn't happen. I ordered the 15 or 16 dollar white chocolate french toast option while my friend had the "power breakfast". My french toast order was 3 triangles of toast that were the most boring, tired, dry, and underwhelming pieces ever. The food was cold by the time I got syrup too. My friends power breakfast, was an egg and cheese bagel with a couple pieces of fruit (she normally eats like a bird and was still hungry after). THE MOST UNBELIEVABLE PART: The server recovers a bit as we are eating (maintaining our drinks, clearing the plates at the appropriate time, etc.) , then drops the check. I kid you not, we sat for 20 MINUTES WITH OUR CARDS VISIBLY OUT ON THE CHECK PRESENTER!!! (It was our day off, and it was comical at this point) I was keeping close track on my watch. My friend and I decided to really turn our body language and we were staring down the entire staff at this point. It wasn't until I walked over and handed the server our bill that he gives me some excuse I didn't care to listen to. I did write a message on the back of the receipt and dropped it at the host stand about our terrible experience. Looking at these other reviews, I don't think they care much

    (1)
  • Matt F.

These other reviews are spot-on. The hostess has the personality of a wet dish rag. Table service was fine. Menu was completely underwhelming, except the prices which were ridiculous for the bland and boring choices. Chocolate chip pancake just had a cup of chips dumped on top, bacon was thin and overcooked. The croissants were good. There are far too many better choices in the area to settle for mediocre food paired with exorbitant prices.

  • Steve E.

Good space, decent food, completely indifferent service at every single turn. Excellent coffee and a good meeting spot, but that's about it. We had pancakes and a veggie omelette, and both were just fine. All the hostess comments and general talk on here about service are spot on. Nothing special here.

  • Aleyn A.

My experience at this place was good, food is fresh , tasty. Service is good too. But being part of the Buckhead LRG I was expecting something extraordinary. We had the Smoked salmon tower and the Cuban sandwich. Nothing extraordinary, good flavors. But the wow factor was missing. Also our food took a little to long to be ready. But ill come back from another time. My visit was like 4 or 5 months ago. Wow it's time to go back then.

I came here for brunch once and was not that impressed. I think the menu should include some simpler options, or more omlette options. I had a hard time finding an item I wanted to order. I eventually settled on the BBQ Shrimp and Grits with Chorizo. The dish sounded interesting and I had high hopes. However, the BBQ sauce was way to overbearing and I thought it could have used more shrimp..not my favorite. The rest of my table really enjoyed their sandwiches. They had a couple of unique egg benedict like sandwiches that my mom and uncle both loved. I am not a very adventurous breakfast eater and would have appreciated a ham & cheese omlette or maybe just an American Breakfast. The service was also pretty slow. Granted we were a table of 5 adults and 2 kids, it still lacked. I would come back here, but I would probably rather come during lunch for a different menu.

I will definitely be back! This place has amazing sandwiches. I got the chicken breast club and it was amazingly delicious. This place is a bit expensive but the food makes it worth it. Dying to go back and try more of the menu!

First, there's a back "corner" entrance that leads you to believe its "the" entrance. You walk in and they all ignore you and allow you to stand there looking like a complete idiot. Umm...hello?? We are finally directed to the front where we see the hostess and get seated. That should have been a huge red flag but the place was busy - Sunday in Buckhead. But I digress. The French toast is listed with a fruit compote which sounds delish. Two small circles arrived with some sort of jelly like substance on them - apples. I am not a fan of cooked apples so I sent them back and got the menu to find something else (basically just to confirm there is no mention of apple pie filling on them). There's not. Be warned! The other person in my party ordered pancakes. They come with chocolate chips, blueberries or some other option I've since forgotten. One would think the option would come cooked in the pancakes. Instead what arrived was a stack of pancakes with chocolate chips on top. They started melting and it got ugly. Really, really ugly. He picked around the chocolate mess and tried to eat just pancake realizing it was useless and finally peeled off the top pancake in an effort to salvage the meal. I tried a bite of that (since I was starving after my French toast fail) and realized that Bisquick would have been a better option. Heck - cardboard would have been. Last, but certainly not least the waitress came by to refill our coffee without asking. Coffee lovers understand what it's like to find that perfect balance of coffee, creamer, and sweetener. It's a rare, perfect moment. It was there and it was ruined. I will stick to a Waffle House when in Atlanta because for a fifth of the price I get better food and service.

Don't understand the negative reviews. Maybe the place was insane when others visited but I was seated immediately and had my orange juice shortly after. The waiter Arturo helped me with my choice for breakfast, the egg BLT with cheese grits, and it was delicious. Someone in a tie (manager?) delivered it and made sure I had all I needed. I'm currently watching a waiter hug a regular customer of theirs. I'll definitely visit again, great place to stumble upon this am!

  • Stephanie M.

The egg salad here rocks they have sandwiches or grab -n- go containers of it. Hands off all mine (just kidding hmm maybe not) sometimes I go through food kicks and right now egg salad is one of those items it is something familiar and comforting and this place does it better than most . If you are looking for fresh breads this is definitely the place to come too. If you have a sweet tooth well all you have to do is walk inside making up your mind on what to purchase is a bit of a conundrum . The coffee that is so popular in all of the restaurants can be purchased here for your home and specialty cakes & desserts can be ordered in advance.

  • Rick F.

I got takeout breakfast - pancakes, bacon, and coffee...pretty simple. Got home and found there wasn't any butter or syrup. Couldn't eat the dry pancakes...Just moved in, so I don't have any condiments at home. I didn't have time to go back because I had to get to work, so I called to let them know. Nothing was done, not even an offer to come back and get the butter and syrup. Austin told me "sorry, I'll let the chef know." On the positive side, the bacon and coffee were delicious. But for $22 and poor service recovery, I won't be back.

I came here for brunch with 4 friends this past Sunday. Our food was delicious! I ordered the egg and cheese BLT. It was huge and incredibly good. I also got to try the pretzel croissant which was amazing. I would definitely order one on a repeat visit. All of their bread products are great in general (as to be expected). Extra points for the complimentary mini muffin appetizer. Unfortunately, the service wasn't very good. We had a reservation for 11:00 and arrived on time. Our party wasn't seated until 11:40. It was definitely busy, but I'm not sure what the point is of taking reservations if you aren't going to honor them. We also had a handful of issues at our table. Having the wrong drinks being brought to the table, not getting separate checks as requested...however one of these mistakes ended up in free croissants so I can't complain too much. If you're looking for good food, are not in a hurry, and don't mind paying prices much higher than brunch places with comparable food then Corner Cafe might just be for you.

Everything was delicious. First time having grits and I was not disappointed. We were having lunch with my newborn nephew and we call and made reservation 1 1/2 hours before hand and requested a booth that would accommodate a car seat. We arrived and were immediately seated. A great variety of eggs benedict. My favorite was the skirt steak benedict that comes with slices of fried green tomatoes. The cheese grits were also a delight. Will come back next time I am in Atlanta!

Corner cafe is a sure, good breakfast and brunch spot. Their French toast is heavenly and lattes are very tasty. Probably not the most adventurous of places in terms of the menu, but the dishes I've had are very good and well sized.

  • Angie H.

This place must be amazing in person, but I've only had the food from their to go/catering menu and it kind of sucks. I got a sandwich one time and it was just WAY too much bread, not enough meat, lettuce, tomato. But I blame that on myself for ordering the kind of sandwich I ordered. This time, I ordered a salad. I wanted the roasted vegetables with feta cheese salad. They didn't have it, which I find ridiculous. The catering menu is TINY. So to be out of one of the 3 basic salad options (one is mixed greens, the other is a caesar salad) is so disappointing. They said they could make a very similar salad though. What I got was so disappointing. Mixed greens with apple slices, black berries, and some onions and a little bit of blue cheese. The dressing was delicious but the salad was so boring and basic and I was still starving once I finished it. I could get a better salad at Zaxby's...and for much cheaper.

While staying in buckhead, I was looking for a cafe or diner to eat at, and the Corner Cafe popped up, so I decided to give it a try. The wait was not long, even on a Sunday morning, but I noticed right away that the name is misleading... it's not really a cafe or a diner -- it's very posh. While I'm waiting, there's a stream of Jaguars and Cadillacs parking, with their extremely well-dresses passengers disembarking. At first I was impressed -- I'll gladly pay for quality, if I'm getting a meal I won't forget. Well -- the waiters were stylish, the plates were stylish, the prices were stylishly... high, the servings were *extremely* small, the orange juice was almost $5 a glass, and the wait inbetween ordering and when the food was delivered was nearly 40 minutes. it was at this point that my opinion of the restaurant started to fall. The food was well made and delicious, but was in no way worth the wait and the price. Also of note: the interior of the restaurant was loud -- incredibly, incredibly, LOUD. My friends and I at the table either had to shout, or just give up and communicate non-verbally. Considering how you're seated -- nearly elbow to elbow with everyone else in the restaurant -- it's amazing how many people they manage to cram into the (not very big) restaurant, and the noise level shows.

Over rated Another buckhead life empire failure. Too loud, lousy slow service, girl could never find the coffee, coffee cold, too bad cause coffee was actually best thing taste wise. Daughter had chicken club sandwich. Chicken good, avocado dry and rotten. Bread stale, really with your own bakery? Wife had trio salad, way way too much mayo. I know this is the south, but lighten up people! Lets taste the chicken or the tuna or the egg.My suggestion, take the chicken from the club sandwich and lightly use a lighter mayo, not a gallon of mayo to every two chicken shreds. Grits cold and runny, omelette ok, but they forgot the veggies and forgot the toast. No thanks

In full disclosure, I am a bit of a food snob... ok I lie - more like 'alot' of a food snob. But that does not prevent me from trying out new places with mediocre ratings and today's brunch location was Corner Cafe. Lets just say.. it lived up to it's ratings and reviews - nothing of note on the menu and a failing grade on the execution. For starters - there free mini muffins were ridiculously dry that you could not finish them... definitely not their best foot forward (and if I was them - I would improve these muffins as you serve them to everyone!). Then came the skirt steak eggs Benedict... and well dryness was the theme of the day. The eggs were overcooked and the hollandaise sauce was limp and lifeless. The best thing on there was a fried tomato (and I hate fried food). Service was fine and inline with the food - overall impression ... I should have slept in.

Really disappointing brunch experience. I came here with a friend just before lunchtime, so the restaurant wasn't very busy yet. Somehow our server still took a good 20 minutes for the whole process of greeting us, getting our drinks (just a cafe latte and an iced tea) and then finally getting our breakfast order. The food that finally arrived was definitely not worth the prices they are charging. A simple bagel, egg and cheese sandwich with some onions on it and no side included costs over $12. The server took so long to grab us our check that my friend had to get up and go find him, and in the end our simple breakfast and coffee took us over an hour to complete. Save yourself some time and money and try another spot!

HORRIBLE SERVICE. Some co-workers and I decide to meet up for a power breakfast before a hit our sales calls. So on a Tues morning 9:40am, 3/4 of the tables empty we thought we could be out in an hour. I don't know about you but I don't consider that busy. Guess we were wrong. Sat for 20 minutes before our order was taken. people did keep walking by saying "some one will be right with us". I saw what turned out to be my order placed in the pick up window 15 minutes later. But instead of eating it, I got to look at my food sitting in the window waiting to be brought to my table for 10 mins. So after 45 mins of sitting down, I finally get my corned beef hash. The Food and coffee was warm at best, but given the "lack of service" was actually afraid to have them fix it. How much time would that take???? I flagged down the so called manager and told her that the service was at best Mickey Mouse. She didn't care. Never asked me what the problem was, how she could fix it...nope! Just a half hearted "I'm Sorry" and walked away. They concluded by mixing up our credit card with another table's card, after they ran and charged the wrong cards. No one ever came by to explain what happen. Seriously, how would you feel if a server takes your credit card and disappears for, I swear 20 minutes?? In short....extremely over priced, horrible service, and management who apparently just doesn't care. I have had far better service at Waffle House at half the price to boot!!!! There just happens to be one a block up the street. What a mistake!!!!

For breakfast again, and the experience was improved. But really, EVERY time I come here, something is wrong with one of the dishes....can't the kitchen get it right??? My wife ordered poached eggs, medium well, and they came out runny, more like soft!!! So I got to eat my omelet and they brought her a side of toast to be able to eat something with me. That was the right thing to do. My omelet was fine. Food is very flavorful, and service is decent.

This place offers a clean atmosphere and sample muffins! Which totally won me over. Their eggs Benedict fried green tomato and smoke salmon is very good and filling. The customer service may need some work but other than that it was a great experience.

I stopped in for breakfast on a weekday morning. I walk up to the hostess stand. The hostess stares at me. I stare at her. We both stare at one another. After a good 10 seconds of this dance, she asks me "can I help you?" somewhat coldly. Oh yes, I'm trying to sell AmWay, are you interested? Of course you can help me. You're a hostess. You are supposed to greet guests, tell them hello, smile, and ask them how you can be of assistance. I was thoroughly put off by the aloofness of the hostess. She seats me and I make my meal choice. For me, the toast, sausage patties, and two eggs. The meal was fine. The sausage was decently flavored. For $10, the meal was pretty underwhelming. Perhaps it was my mistake for not going with one of their more exotic plates. I might go back, but I would choose very carefully. The bakery items did look lovely. The cafe though, meh. The server was decently attentive and polite, that's where the second star comes in.

So, I have been bouncing around between hotels and friends' places for various reasons and found myself just off Pharr Rd. this am. J and I wanted to do breakfast and rather than WaHo, I thought - Corner Cafe! Great choice. Quick seating (about 9:30 am so probably good timing between the early diners and a lunch crowd) and good service. He got the eggs benedict and a danish side and was very pleased. I varied from my typical BLT order and got the three cheese omelet with grits and white toast. We were both well-pleased. Good coffee and lots of refills. Another place we probably need to add to our breakfast/brunch rotation!!

  • Caitlin W.

I've never had an issue here, so not sure about the dumpy reviews. I usually get the veggie egg-white omelette with fresh fruit. It comes out quickly and hot! The iced coffee is a little weak, but they don't claim to be Starbucks. Service is always attentive, but they are very busy during peak eating periods. About the prices...suck it up people, it's Buckhead for a reason! They are a bit pricier than other places but you can see where your money is going... I always customize my order and they aim to please. It's my go to brunch spot and doesn't hurt that I live right around the corner!

  • Will T.

Corner Café, part of the Buckhead Life empire, is an enjoyable, but expensive, breakfast spot for the moneyed Buckhead crowd. The food is hit or miss. My three egg omelet was tasty and a generous portion, too big to finish. It came with Turnpike Mill grits which were some of the best I've had and the most enjoyable part of my breakfast. Plates are accompanied by toast from the Buckhead Bread Company, but my thin sliced country Italian bread and a friend's thicker sliced walnut raisin bread were toasted or grilled until they were hard as a rock, making what should have been a special treat less enjoyable. Service was a high point with helpful staff that cheerfully accommodated special requests. But the food is average, a victim of corporate bigness. Save your money and head to Waffle House or grab a memorable breakfast at any number of independent breakfast spots like Thumbs Up Diner, Java Jive or Radial Café.

I use to go here every Sunday. There is sometimes a wait, so I suggest making reservations. One of my favorite things to eat are the smoked salmon Benedict. I get the hollandaise sauce on the side. This place is pretty cool, I really enjoy the vibe and the mini muffins, I mean come on adorable.

Booked brunch this weekend and we had to wait for 30 mins before seating. What's the point of taking reservations, if you can't honor time? Food was nothing out of the ordinary. A lil pricey might I say for what you get.

As always, the food and atmosphere are great. This is a favorite brunch spot of mine. I like to pick up a couple pastries from the bakery side of the business before I leave. Be sure to get your dining card, you get an additional 20% value from buying value on the card. The only reason it's not 5 stars for me is the facility has not been updated in a long time and is showing its age. Otherwise it's great in my book.

Corner Cafe is such a lunch time treat! I have ordered a variety of meals off the menu, and I must say I have never left disappointed. This restaurant seems to be a culmination of the Buckhead elite. I always see a collection of women brunching with mimosas in hand exchanging the daily gossip. While service may be hit and miss, the food is definitely not. I will be back soon!

I've been fond of the Corner Cafe for a while, because it's in close proximity to the hotel my parents always stay at when they come to visit. Sometimes as a treat, we'd go there for an upscale breakfast or brunch for a change, which was how I learned of it (and at the time, its tasty frittatas). Corner Cafe really differentiates itself from your WaHos and Flying Biscuits, by being upscale, tastefully decorated, serving snotty coffee and French presses, offering a full service bakery in the front and setting its prices twice as high as the competitors. This being said, my most recent breakfast there wasn't as memorable as I thought before. My boyfriend had an early speaker meeting to attend, but it ended at 9:30, so he swung by my place and took me out as a treat. I'd been telling him about how nice Corner Cafe was, so we decided to give it a try. True to form, we parked in a lot full of Aston Martins, Jaguars, Land Rovers and were seated among an array of business people in suits power breakfasting, entrepreneurs with laptops and iPhones at the ready, and common folk rubbing elbows with the well to do of Buckhead. After a quick perusal and decision against the signature white chocolate French toast before 11 AM (too much sugar too early could be dangerous), I ordered the three egg veggie omelet with grits and toast and my boyfriend ordered the Belgian waffle with bananas (much better than French toast, right?) and bacon. We were going to split both. They came out in good time and the omelette was large and chock full of veggies: minced asparagus, peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions and cheddar cheese. The waffle was light, fluffy and topped with a lot of sliced banana as well, and with a little syrup, it was quite good. The toast was a little dry and the bacon was too, but it was okay. And grits are grits. I'm not a southern girl, so I'm not a big fan to begin with. We were both a little surprised how much the bill was in the end, but it's a chi chi breakfast restaurant in Buckhead next to a Jaguar and Range Rover dealer, so really what else can you expect? It was a good breakfast, but I think next time I'll opt for the more fun decor of the Flying Biscuit or the consistently good food of J. Christopher's and forgo some of the snob appeal of the Corner Cafe.

The wait took way too long fr what they had said. i get it they were busy but it didnt seem like they were organized. Food was good you might want them to cut back on the syrup /sauce on the strawberry waffles and blueberry french toast it was way too sweet. Potatoe fries are really good! Price is a a lil bit pricey for breakfast.

My co-worker and I ended up at the Corner Cafe, because I had been craving french fries and she said the ones here were the best. Parking was easy, always a plus in the city, and there was a few tables open, so we were seated really quickly. I ordered the Grilled Cheese BLT with 2 fried eggs. WOW. The bread, the bacon, combined with the eggs and the cheese, holy moly friends, it was amazing. the French Fries...oh yes. They were definitely some of the best I have had. The most amazing part about all of the food was, while it was definitely fatty, none of it felt greasy, and everything tasted and smelled quite fresh. As we were leaving, we walked by the bakery, and saw some delicious selections. I was so full from lunch that I didn't buy anything, but I am most definitely returning to try some of the pastries. There was a long line for the bakery, which for me, means that they must be worth the wait. Definitely worth it - absolutely returning - hopefully soon!

So here for a special occasion, we decided to get priority seating for noon. Showed up 15 minutes early just to wait over 45 minutes after our priority seating time. You shouldn't bother having "priority" seating if you can't get them seated within a reasonable time of their scheduled "priority" time. I will not be returning. How embarrassing.

Is it worth the $10 I paid for coffee and a bagel? No. But you have to admit the place has a certain je ne sais quoi. If you're looking for atmosphere and a place to go over a business proposal then this is the place for you.

I like Corner Cafe. Yes, it's a bit pricey for breakfast for sure, but they do have good food. And I love the little muffins you get on the weekends....they are yummy. I've never had bad service either. The only disappointment are the pastries...the scone and roll I got were really dry and tasteless. I still come back a lot for the other things.

Consider this rating a review of only 2 items: the priciness of the menu, and the quality of the dish I had. The rest was fine.. staff was great, etc. 1) This place is ridiculously overpriced! The menu was quite enticing, creative, but geez, way too much $$$ for what it is! 2) The Barbecue Shrimp & Grits. I just had this for brunch 2 days ago. IT WAS HORRIBLE. The shrimp was so overcooked that I knew as soon as I tried to stick it with my fork; hard as rubber. The chorizo in the grits tasted like ground beef. The sauce with the shrimp was super greasy and overly sweet. Overall, it was not a winner and I was so disappointed because there were so many other things on the menu that also LOOKED good on paper. I am not a complainer, so I didn't, but I came very close to sending it back. In retrospect, I should have, and I can't believe I spent $16 on it! Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be going back to try any of the other items on the menu any time soon. The bread and desserts looked a-m-a-z-i-n-g, my guess is stick with bread-related dishes (not shrimp & grits, hah).

The ambiance, service and presentation is better than the actual taste of the food. When I'm feeling like little rich, spoiled, snob I like to go to Corner Cafe for my overpriced food fix and people watching. All of the mimosas are fabulous and anything but weak. Two or three of those and you'll be on the floor. So not classy for breakfast hour! Their basic breakfast items are the best...pancakes, grits, eggs, sausage. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with Skirt Steak (see picture I uploaded) last weekend and it was presented beautifully. However there are just TOO many flavors on the plate. It consisted of two eggs, hollandaise sauce, skirt steak (not tender enough), 3 fried green tomatoes all served on a slice of toast PLUS hash browns that had bell peppers in them?? The hash browns were crispy and perfect; I picked over the peppers. I'll stick to the basics when I dine here from now on.

Food was perfectly good, but service was awful. The place was busy, but not packed, yet I saw my waitress three times total (once only after flagging her down).

Personally, I wouldn't waste my time again. The service is good and quick and very attentive. The offerings are poor at best. The Brunch Menu is waaaayyyy over priced. If you're from the South, PLEASE don't order any form of what this place calls "Grits." They're simply awful. The coffee from the plastic carafe is water thin and flavorless. For us this is "F and L" Meaning, First and Last time here.

overpriced and poor service. I ordered the corned beef sandwich. I thought they messed up and brought a kid's menu portion of it, but they said that was the full portion and turned to walk away. There was a laughable amount of corned beef on the plate and the vegetables were soggy and flavorless. All of this for 13 dollars. Complete rip off with no apology or offer to bring me something else. I came home and had to eat lunch again since I was still hungry. Also, our waitress didn't show up from the time she took the order until she brought the check (someone else delivered the food)! No water refills or anything of the sort. If you're going charge ridiculous prices for small quantities of poor foods, at least have some decent service! So many other places to eat in Atlanta - I won't be going back!

I generally try to avoid Buckhead, but had a gift certificate for the Buckhead Restaurants group. I've been here for weekend brunch twice now and have both times been VERY impressed with the food. I disagree with the people who say that it is expensive, given that the prices seem to be the same as any other breakfast place in town (maybe a little more than Flying Biscuit, but right on par with Highland Bakery). The corned beef hash was amazing. Likewise, I have tried a couple of their benedicts served on fried green tomatoes- also very good choices. I love the muffins to start (as I am usually starving by the time I get to my table). The service is very good. The last waiter I had there was incredible. All in all, I'd say it's the "Buckhead version" of Highland Bakery (as in, if Highland Bakery finally got that inheritance it's been waiting for, moved to Buckhead and bought a Mercedes and lived in a mansion) - not as artisan, not as "handcrafted," not as down home, not as comfortable, not as personal. I do not believe they make their own flour (although I have not verified this) - a little more busy and stuffy, louder, fewer veggie options, much higher volume (you know, like Buckhead) - but the same basic idea: a bakery and brunch restaurant with lots of fresh bread (YUM!)

Overpriced limited menu and our food arrived cold. Service was so-so... The waiter was incredibly attentive at refilling our coffee multiple times before our food arrived. After our food arrived, he was nowhere to be found. There are many other better options in the area. Save your money.

You can do much better for your brunch buck than Corner Cafe. This Buckhead Life spot is basically a place to be seen for the neighborhood's hoity-toity residents on Sunday morning. It's way overpriced, and the quality is not extraordinary. In fact, they served me a cup of Yoplait yogurt with my order of granola and yogurt. Seriously? At least serve it in a dish to disguise the fact you're serving me cheapo grocery store yogurt. If I get homemade granola, I expect some decent yogurt, too. The others in my party got Belgian waffles and an omelet. Both were good, but not amazing. I'll take a Ria's Bluebird or Java Jive over Corner Cafe any day.

I am updating my review after following up with the owner who reached out to me on Yelp. Another reason Yelp is amazing. I am looking forward to trying another Buckhead life restaurant with the gift card they shipped to me. It is good to know that they take these reviews seriously and address any problems with their staff. I like a company that takes responsibility!

The quintessential brunch location. Food quality: A-, delicious, fresh, and varied. Service: A, they ask your name and refer to you by name while you eat. In traditional fashion, they always refer to the male at the table and will refer to your girlfriend as MRS. Last Name...eep. Crowd: B-. There are some people that are there on business and dress the part and then there are some who look like they just woke up and came in their pajamas. While it's not dressy, I don't think people should be wearing tshirts for a $25 breakfast. Cost: C, this place is a bit pricier than even the food quality would suggest. Tip: if coming by for lunch and you don't want to spend $20 for a sandwich, go to the bread counter (technically the Buckhead Bread Company, but it's in the same room) and grab a fresh-made sandwich. Just as good and only $3! To go only, however.

Another place I used to frequent, Corner Cafe is a great lunch or weekend brunch spot... I went today with friends before heading to the airport. I have to say the service was not as great as I remember from a few years ago... but food quality was still excellent! I highly recommend their egg salad - I had an egg salad sandwich on fresh sunflower bread today - it really hit the spot! My friend Michael had their salad trio platter (it comes with egg salad, chicken salad, and tuna salad) which is served with a bread basket and some lettuce/tomato. We put in a special request for the raisin bread as it's delicious! My friend Leigh opted for the turkey reuben sandwich... we all cleaned our plates and were satisfied. With a small outdoor patio area and delicious looking pastries too, this place will not disappoint... it's been around for years - hopefully their service will come back to par soon. I'll have to make sure on my next visit. Until then, if you're craving carbs, go check out Corner Cafe!

Overall this is a fun little brunch place. The food was good but not spectacular, the service was good, the french roasted coffee was EXCELLENT, but that menu was quite lacking. I went there with a friend for breakfast on a Fall Sunday morning. I liked the atmosphere and the location but I was disappointed in the size of the menu and the lack of options. You could order some things a la carte but you had to ask the waitress to do so. The quality of food was good but at buckhead pricing some things are better priced than others. Nothing stood out to me or my companion as a home run. If you are in the area I say give it a try, but don't go too far out your way to go. Still way better than Denny's and IHOP, but Waffle House sometimes beats it out (on those mornings when nothing but grease covered hashbrowns will do). Enjoy!

This is Buckhead. I can get better tasting (hell, I can get food that TASTES as what I ordered was pretty insipid) food down the street at Waffle House, but this is the whole meeting people and doing deals kind of place. I suggest if you want better, cheaper food to go elsewhere. If you want a place to meet and get better food, join the City Club. What did I eat? I had coffee, a three cheese omelet, brioche-like toast and grits. The grits WERE pretty tasty, but the bill for self and my guest (who had something similar in size but raved about it) was close to $30. I'm just not there for spending this kind of cashola for what we got. Yes, we had a pot of French press. Yes, we were seen and saw. Man, I sound like a whiny bitch.

Very casual cafe atmosphere with a jam packed brunch scene. The service is pleasant but it never really feels like you are in a true full service restaurant both because of the way the restaurant is laid out and the casualness. There is a patio but it's small and doesn't have a great view. The popularity is frankly disproportional to the average food. I found the execution not dazzling, and the selection although many, was not varied or interesting. Also with the casual atmosphere, brunch prices are conspicuously high. Furthermore, for being right next to a bakery, pastry selection is disappointing. One positive is the Shrimp And Grits, with very fresh and plump shrimps, tasty sauce. But the Chicken Sausage dish was not good at all. They do have a nice Macchiato, I'll give you that. There are just many better options all over the city that are less expensive. I doubt I will come for brunch here again.

This place used to be excellent for lunch but not so much anymore. I got the salad trio with the soup and the chicken soup looked like it came out of a can. The chicken salad had so much mayo in it that I couldn't eat it and the tomato, motz, arugula salad was also lacking in flavor. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing but I seem to recall this place being much better 5+ years ago.

I want to be more impressed with Corner Cafe. The food here is tasty, and service is spot-on. But you can find equal or better brunch/lunch fare elsewhere for a lot less. Perhaps I simply expect more from a Buckhead Life entity. Perhaps I only need my breakfast to be served with soul instead of style. The bakery is nice, and you'll find plenty of stuff there worth taking home to enjoy later. But the restaurant, while providing great service, somehow doesn't "wow" me enough to warrant four stars.

While searching for a place that wasn't super crowded we drove past Corner Cafe and thought it was time to give it a try. Though the parking lot was packed, there were quite a few tables available with no wait. When we were given the brunch menu, we immediately noticed everything was about $15 dollars more or less. There were quite a few pancake and eggs Benedict dishes. There were also a few sandwich selections as well. I ordered the BBQ shrimp with grits. They were about $16. My friend ordered the french toast and a side of grits. His was about the same price. The french toast was said to be very good and had some nice fresh berries all over. The grits were very good as well. My BBQ shrimp with grits was pretty good. Granted 6 shrimp and grits don't seem to cost that much. But it was good. Service was pretty decent. The refills on the drinks were slow, but it wasn't a negative point. The atmosphere is rather bland. Just a bunch of tables and a few neon tubes across the ceiling. It was really loud in there. We had to shout to talk and could barely hear our waiter. Overall, good food but over priced.

Best coffee I have had in Georgia, super delicious. The baked goods are phenomenal; the sandwich bread is baked on site at the wonderful Buckhead Bread company. I went with my dad, who is a bit of a bread freak, and he adored it. It's his new favorite bakery. Fun, casual, friendly. I split a lamb sandwich and a salad with my sister. The salad was marginally overdressed but still yummy, and the lamb sandwich was delicious--tender and juicy, on a freshly baked focaccia roll with an herb aioli. I love lamb and was happy to see this on the menu, very original and tasty. They offer a fresh berry option instead of fries or cole slaw, and the berries were excellent, fresh and sweet. A tasty alternative for those watching their carbs, or who just want something different and delicious. Service was very good. It was busy but not crammed, but I could see how weekend brunch would be SRO. In terms of price, well, this i casual, but it's still Buckhead. I still think about that cappuccino. It was perfect.

Was entertaining friends from out of town. We stopped because it looked interesting. We were told it would be a 10 minute wait for seating. 30 minutes later I approached the hostess and asked why it was taking so long and why so many people who had just walked in were being seated ahead of us. "They have priority seating" was the curt response I received, without an explanation of what exactly this was or an apology for the false information they gave us at check in. Service was fine, the Eggs Benedict I had was ok, not the best I've ever had. I just felt like the whole experience was pointed in the wrong direction from the start. A little more communication from the hostess area would go a long way. My friends were disappointed and commented they received better service at Waffle House the day before.

Had breakfast in this 1965 era California design diner. The service was very attentive and personal. The coffee was quite good for brewed and for a coffee snob like me. The maple sugar scone was also wonderful. My breakfast partner had eggs over easy done perfectly with multi grain toast and bananas on the side. All came just as ordered and in a timely fashion. Looks like you can count on a good meal and great service here.

This was my second time at Corner Cafe and I actually sought it out this time. NOT disappointed. Excellent, friendly, efficient service, the food is just wonderful and the atmosphere is elegant, yet comfortable. I will patronize them on my next trip to Atlanta, hopefully soon!

Okk, I know I was all in love with this place, haven't been here since last summer and omg I wanted to run out of there...let me explain my awful experience... First....we get there, and they sit us ....don't give us any silverware.. Second...we get our drinks, everyone gets mini muffins with their drinks...we did not get ours!!! until I asked and got a response..ohh you want thoses?? Third...my french toast (that I USED to love) were two small circle and drenched in maple syrup..yuck..I wanted to throw up after one bite!!! Fourth... my friend asked for Ketchup...got it after 15 mins of waiting and the eggs were cold! Fifth...I asked for water...yeah I am still waiting on the water.... and the most annoying thing....they gave us our check before we were even done eating..come on now.... Seriously, I don't know if we were being racial profiled or what....I had to just look around and noticed I was the only non-white person there....so that made me think...ok racial profiling.... For the $$$$$ I ended up spending there...I expended soo much from this place and it went from one of my fav brunch places..to I am never coming here again!!!!! Sooo diappointing and gosh I am still upset with the whole experience!!!

I wish I could give zero stars. This place sucks. I went for a weekday lunch. I got a blackened chicken salad which was $13. Complete ripoff. Not very good at all and it gave me diarreha on the way home. Not to mention I saw someone working food prep with no gloves take a taste of some cheese. Gross. I lived in San Francisco where I never paid these prices for a crappy salad. Get over yourself. This is overpriced and gross. Out of principles I will now boycott at Buckhead Life spots.

Fortunately (unfortunately for my bank account!), I work close to this place, and therefore I can be found there at least once every couple of weeks. Not to be confused with Corner Bakery, this place is delicious! My favorite is the steel cut oatmeal and fruit. The wait can get a bit long, but it hits the spot.

My default breakfast place in Atlanta. Everything is usually good if not great, but my absolutely favorite dish remains the egg and cheese BLT. Something about a good BLT, let alone this awesome gourmet BLT. Any time I have that, it tends to be a pretty good day. Plus, I can't argue with the patio to enjoy the meal.

I personally love Corner Cafe, but I always call in advance for call-ahead seating so that I don't have to wait forever. They are a bit pricey, but their food is just so good and we have rarely had a service issue. The mini-muffins they bring are nice and they have excellent coffee! I do wish they had a bit more of an outdoor patio, I think there are only about 3-4 tables and they're super-cramped. Ok, the food...the grit du jour is oftentimes a slam-dunk, especially when it's asiago-based! They also have a breakfast sandwich with brie, ham and apples, which they tried to take away for awhile, but brought right back. For lunch they have a delicious triple-salad plate and wonderful salads with excellent bread, as they should with Buckhead Bread being a part of them. Make sure to give it a shot!

Shabby interior, date menu, poor execution and high prices. 16 dollars for crab cakes Benedict with a bland hollandaise on chewy bread with deep fried flavorless greasy homefries. Why anyone would ever go here for brunch when they could be eating at empire state south us beyond me. Thankfully I had a gift card. Won't be going back.

David and I were shopping in the Buckhead area for our home and I suggested trying out Corner Cafe, since one of my favorite bloggers, the Blissful Glutton; recently reviewed them. I've always wondered what this place was like, since I have driven by it so many times. Upon entering the sliding glass doors, I was greeted with the delicious smells of fresh baked bread! On the look of the place, David thought they needed a major makeover since everything seemed so dated. The food was very good. I ordered the Fried Green Tomato Benedict and David got the Country Chicken Sausage platter. The bacon and fried green tomato had a delectable crunch and I enjoyed the eggs. Definitely one of the best Benedict's I have ever had! David liked his chicken sausage and it came with a side of cooked apples and arugula salad. We both had hot tea, which was from Harney & Sons! Next time we go back, I definitely want to try one of their coffees...they were huge and some came with a dollop of whip cream! Mmmm... Overall we were both very satisfied with our meals and the service was very quick! Only negative was that the price was a bit on the high end for breakfast. I'm usually not a fan of the Buckhead Lifegroup Restaurants, but this one is a plus in my book!
