I was raised by a shopaholic hoarder. As such, I understand the importance of securing an appropriate level of nourishment prior to a day long retail binge. That being said, Panera is typically my fast food venue of choice while visiting Lenox Square Mall. However, this past weekend, in a flagrant showing of culinary adultery, I decided to ascend the escalator and try Corner Bakery Cafe instead. In the end, the visit left me ashamed and disappointed, but confident that I will never make the same mistake again. Food: The menu at Corner Bakery Cafe is comprised of mostly healthy fare, including salads, soups, chili, sandwiches, panini, pastas, and baked goods. During my visit, I opted for the Harvest Salad, which I was initially pleased to see offered in both a "cafe" and "entree" sized portion. I ordered the cafe portion, but added chicken for some additional protein. On the menu, the salad allegedly consisted of crisp green apples, toasted walnuts, blue cheese and currants. There was also a claim of an accompanying fresh baked focaccia roll. However, what arrived was two meager apple shavings, one toasted walnut, four bleu cheese crumbles, and a handful of raisins that I presume qualified as the currants. The monstrous concoction was topped with three insulting slivers of chicken and a rock hard wafer of focaccia that tasted like it had been festering on the shelves for weeks. Service: The service was friendly and quick during my visit. Upon entry, you place your order and are provided with a number that's displayed at your table. The food is then brought out to you shortly thereafter. I waited less than 5 minutes for the order to arrive. Atmosphere: The restaurant itself is clean and welcoming, as is the seating area located in the main mall corridor. However, they do serve everything on plastic plates, which was surprising considering the price point. Cost: Overpriced, particularly considering that this place is a chain. For the most part, the prices are consistent with Panera, but the quality and quantity of the food offerings are noticeably inferior. I ended up paying $10 for a side salad and a fountain drink. Other: Corner Bakery Cafe admirably posts the calorie counts for each item on its menu, which is the sole reason that I've spared it from a single star review.

I had just arrived in Atlanta for the first time. Good buy. I'm a panera girl. Good menu. Roast beef and goat cheese sandwich very yummy. Spinach sweet crisp salad also yummy. Did half and half but still filling. Best part was the staff. A lady working asked how my meal was and gave me a hug and a "God bless you" which was unusual but sweet. My first experience in southern hospitality! Also, they had a great playlist of 80s and 90s hits on the speakers. That extended my stay . I also used the wifi. Good speeds by the way...

Been here a few times for Brunch. Love their selection of healthy and real american breakfast dishes. The service is very friendly. The dishes come out in no time and it is tasty. The line even on a Sunday is minimal. Great place for brunch in the Buckhead area.

Worst breakfast I have ever eaten. I would say my college dorm had better breakfast. The eggs are fake, from a container and soggy. The sausage patties are still frozen inside and the Yogurt.... Lets just say they have nothing on McDonald's. Do not eat breakfast here.

Came across the street from the Hyatt during a convention, intentionally early to beat the crowds. It was a little pricey (panini and a drink was $10.46) but it looked good. My boyfriend's food came out fine, and then the crowds started in. Half an hour later, I have to go ask about my sandwich. Apparently it had never been put in. No apology, just "It'll be out in a minute." Ten minutes later, I finally received my food. I ordered a club panini with no tomatoes. I received plain bread, toasted with cheese and turkey. No mayo or bacon. By this point, I was hungry and had to leave soon, so I ate my meal. But I am unhappy about paying $10 for bread, meat and cheese, as well as the customer service. If they're even slightly busy, don't come here.

Dropped by for breakfast one morning. The omelette I ordered was decent. But the craziest thing that happened was right before the waiter gave us our food, out of nowhere I get this huge hug that I almost jumped out of my chair. It was quite unexpected to say the least. It's not that I don't like a friendly waitstaff, but that seemed a bit over the top. And moments later I get this strong pat on the back before she walked away that was little uncomfortable. Maybe it was the shock factor or maybe it's my new york mentality, but a nice smile and a sincere "Enjoy your meal" comment is enough for me.

I love their breakfast here. It's fast, the portions are good, the flavors are simple but well combined and the prices are low. I usually come here on Sunday's and it's busy but not too hard to find a seat. I recommend sitting outside where Yvonne is ALWAYS happy to see you and provides excellent service.

I'm giving this place 5 stars for service! Yvonne is about the sweetest person I've ever met, even giving out hugs, & she made us feel welcome & appreciated. Also, she & someone else sprinted after some customers who had left their tickets to the SEC championship game. Food was tasty but the people were the best part.

I first discovered this place about 15 yrs ago when I traveled to Atlanta for the Peachtree Road Race. I ate ALL my meals there while I was in town. Sadly, I noticed last year that the Corner Bakery had really gone downhill, physically. This year, I experienced the decline of the food. I ordered the Cafe (the size I wanted) Pasta Cavatappi. I'm a vegetarian. They brought out Pesto Cavatappi which had chicken in it. I hate to send back food but I just couldn't eat it and told the waitress why. She then brings out what I originally ordered but 1. it was cold and 2. IT HAD CHICKEN IN IT!! It's supposed to be a vegetarian dish! My friend's carbonara was also cold. Sadly, I don't think I will be patronizing this place in future trips to Atlanta. That makes me very sad as it had a lot of good memories for me : (

It was ok. Met friends here for lunch. I got the soup/sandwich combo. My sandwich of choice was uptown turkey. It had turkey, bacon, and avocado other reg. fixins on it. I was not impressed. I could have made a bologna sandwich better than that. lol Lentil soup was my soup of choice. I tasted like cummin spice was in it and I am not a big fan of that taste. However the 2 pluses were the sweet tea. Super great! And service was awesome. They even noticed that they overcharged me and found me at my table to reimburse the difference.

Typical bakery/cafe chain concept. I think other similar chains are better. Grabbed lunch while at the mall, since it was on the upper level and close to where we were shopping. We probably would have fared better at food court. Caesar salad was overdressed for my liking, panini greasy.

I've been here twice and had ok sandwiches here. The staff hasn't been too great and the location is out of place. Although, there seems to be plenty of parking each time. Convenient, but not really a fan.

I am very impressed with this eatery in the heart of Buckhead. Arrived about 10:30am on a Sunday and the place was full of people but the service was fast and very friendly. My meal was $6.95 plus the cost of a large coffee and I soon found myself faced with a plate full of scrambled eggs three slices of bacon, two slices of whole wheat toast and hash browns. The food was extremely tasty and was not greasy at all. The coffee was good and hot and the waitress who brought our food gave us both a hug just because. This was a very pleasant surprise to be in the heart of one of the more expensive parts of Atlanta. I cannot say enough about the good food good service and the amount of food you get for such a little amount of money. My wife and I left out of there with a bill that was about 18 1/2 dollars. The same meal in our hotel across the street would've likely have been $45-$50. If you are in the area you should really give this place a try.

i always frequent this location because they open early for breakfast and they are just next to the buckhead station. the menu is quite big so theres always the situation where the person at the counter just stares at you waiting for your order.. but theres nothing to be embarrassed about. all the items are done right, i dont really have a bad experience here. the sweet teas and coffees are very yummy. this place is owned by the same company who owns maggianos but their portion is quite small. definitely not for dinner in my mind great patio overlooking the buzy peachtree too.

I LOVE their banana muffins. I've honestly NEVER had a bad experience here. The staff if super friendly. And by super friendly, I mean Yvonne greets you like she's known you your whole life, will give you a hug, and ask about your day. In a huge city, someone like that is amazing.

My sisters and I were doing some shopping at Lenox Square Mall on a Tuesday morning and decided to check out Corner Bakery Cafe for the very first time. We saw that they were advertising their new "Power Panini Thins" which are "Packed with protein and complex carbohydrates" - so we decided to try them out. Each of us ordered a different one so that we could try a bit of each. These paninis are made up of scrambled eggs, Parmesan, and cheddar cheese topped with your choice of meat or veggies between grilled whole-grain Harvest Toast. I got the Smoked Bacon while my sisters ordered the Chicken Apple Sausage and Avocado & Spinach Power Panini Thins. They took our order and we paid at the counter. The Avocado & Spinach one cost $3.09, while the other two that contained meat was $3.49. Once we paid, they handed us a number to hold on to so that a server could bring our food to us when it's ready. I believe they had a few tables inside, but they were taken, so we sat at one of their tables right outside the cafe. The cafe was not busy, but after what felt like over 20 minutes or so, we finally saw a server come out holding a tray of three paninis. We were pretty sure they were ours because there was only one other customer sitting at a table outside aside from us. But instead of walking straight to our table (which was closer to the cafe), he passed right by us and went over to chat with his friend who was sitting at the table further away. What the heck was he thinking?! Finally, after a few minutes of chit-chat with his friend, he came over and served us our paninis. The Power Panini Thins come with a small cup of some type of salsa, which I avoided because there's CILANTRO in it! As we paused to take pictures of our paninis, I noticed that mine - the Smoked Bacon one - looked slightly over-toasted on one half and barely toasted on the top of the other half. And it was falling apart. Boo. I don't like hard toast, but oh well. My panini tasted okay, but it was way too small for $3.49. I thought I would have a satisfying breakfast, but it was more like a snack. I was still hungry afterwards. I tried a bite from each of my sisters' paninis. The Avocado & Spinach one was pretty good, but I thought that the Chicken Apple Sausage one was the best out of the three. The chicken sausage had a great flavor. My sisters liked the salsa that came with the paninis, but they agreed that the Power Panini Thins were truly a tease because they were too small for us. =( Overall, Lenox Square Mall's Corner Bakery Cafe gets 3.5 stars from me - for their good but a bit overpriced Power Thin Paninis and slow service. We may return to try other things on their menu and give them another shot if we're shopping at Lenox Square Mall, but we will not be ordering the Power Thin Paninis again. [Review 041 of 366]

The atmosphere of this cafe is so quaint and cute! The staff is very friendly and personable. I had the Anaheim scrambler which was scrambled eggs, bacon, tomatoes, avocados and cheese - so delicious. Pretty standard scrambled eggs but great flavors!

Stopped in for breakfast, and while it probably was more healthier for me overall than Waffle House, the $10 tab for scrambled eggs with turkey sausage didn't impress me any more than a Waffle House breakfast would have. I went with the Farmer's Scrambler which is eggs scrambled with red, green peppers, red onions mushrooms, breakfast potatoes and cheese. The turkey sausage was extra. Most people are now thinking omelet, but in this dish, the eggs are scrambled. It was edible after i picked all the peppers out. I like peppers, but there were too many compared to the number of eggs that were cooked. I liked that it wasn't greasy or seem to have been cooked in a huge vat of butter. They have an Chicken Apple Sausage that I paid $2.59 extra for. 2 little round nibble of sausage pattie. They were ok, but the chicken apple sausage that comes 4 in a pack at Publix for $2.99 are just a good. What they lack in being just okay food wise, they made up for in service. One lady that worked here was walking around giving everyone hugs. I shied away from the random stranger hug, but hey, you never know when that just might save someone's life. The ladies that took my order were fast and efficient and my order was correct. There was no up-sell to a bagel, muffin or croissant, but maybe that's not required in this establishment. I would go back, if for no other reason than a change of pace, but now that they've put a median up in front of this location and I can't make a left onto Peachtree, it most likely won't be for breakfast before work. They also have a lunch menu that seems to be your usual soups, salads, sandwiches and pasta.
