Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I wasn't a big fan of burritos until I tried Chipotle for the first time in college. Now, I absolutely LOVE burritos. Never mind, strike that... I LOVE Chipotle's steak burritos. Since I absolutely can't stand cilantro (not even little bits of it mixed with rice), I always ask for PLAIN white rice when I order my beloved steak burrito. And when I request it, the employees usually have no problem asking someone in the back to grab the container full of freshly-cooked white rice so that they can scoop some up just for me! But for my fellow cilantro-haters out there, if you choose to do this, be sure to emphasize that you want "just a little" rice. If you don't, they will give you WAY more rice than the normal amount they put. I'm not sure why, but they always do that if I don't tell them "just a little, please." I get my Chipotle steak burrito with their red-chili (HOT) salsa because it's the ONLY salsa that they have that doesn't contain even a trace of cilantro. YAY!!! I love this. But it is pretty spicy, so I usually ask them just to put half a scoop of it. I ask them to top the steak with pinto beans, cheese, sour cream, and lettuce - which wraps up into the PERFECT steak burrito for people like me who hate cilantro. And really - the cubes of steak are ALWAYS soft, juicy, and flavorful. =) $7.18 (including tax) for a "fast food" steak burrito is a bit pricey, in my opinion, but boy is this one worth it! I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like the price continues to rise because even if they do, people will still come. Overall, this Chipotle gets 5 stars - for their amazing burritos made with fresh ingredients, plentiful outside seating (in case it gets full inside, which it usually does), and private parking lot in the back. One thing I do suggest is for them to have more bottles of Tabasco Chipotle Pepper Sauce! The last time I went, they only had ONE bottle available - and I actually walked around to people's tables to see if anyone had a bottle. Luckily, the couple that was using it was super nice and said they were done with it. I cover each bite of my burrito with this smoky, flavorful sauce - which makes an already delicious burrito heavenly. Yes, I love Chipotle THAT much. =) [Review 059 of 366]

Where's the Pepto???? We have eaten here on many occasions but probably not in the last year. Tonight we were looking for a quick dinner. I have to say it just wasn't up to snuff. The employees were not the same caliber we are use to, though the guy on tortilla duty was very pleasant and seemed to be the only person ok with actual work. The girls behind the counter were not interested in work and more concerned with hurrying and less concerned with making something good to eat. The burritos were sloppily made and the amount of guacamole and sour cream used was ridiculous. It made almost inedible. Yet they gave ma a hard time about extra corn. The real excitement began about an hour after we ate. Stomach cramps, nausea. The food has never disagreed with us before. Don't think we will be coming back. The one star is for the tortilla guy.

I generally like Chipotle but this chain doesn't taste the same as the other locations (Duluth and Alpharetta). Something just tasted off...I got the chicken burrito and it was weird. Like, been sitting out too long kind of weird. Regardless, I got great service. During lunch hours it can get super busy! They move along fairly quickly, but my problem was there was no room to sit inside.

This place is absolutely disgusting. The staff was rude and unsanitary. There was food left on every table and all over the floor. The bathrooms both men and women's weren't even usable and staff had an attitude when informed. To top it off they have a sanitation score of an 81. Two shy of a C. The worst I have ever encountered. Management should be highly concerned of the overall environment of the restaurant. Ruining a corporate reputation. Good luck.

I LOVE Chipotle and this is one of my favorite locations in Atlanta. They never skip on toppings and they are always very quick and never out of food. Even when the line is long you know you will be in and out quickly. The staff is friendly and I'm glad I live around the corner from this location!

I didn't realize I had missed yelping about Chipotle!! I LOVE this restaurant. Like any other it has it pros and cons, but it is always on my top 5 listing. Chipotle has generous parking behind it with easy access. The dining area inside is pretty small, but has a huge front area with tables, chairs and umbrellas for patio dining...recommended in the spring & fall. Just know if you are going to this Chipotle, it is very busy and crowded at the lunch hour so I always make sure I get there by 11:30. Otherwise, there is no seating left inside and a LONG line to wait in to get your food. So here, timing is everything. It doesn't slow down until at least 1pm. But I will add that the line moves pretty quickly considering how it can back up. I always get the Burrito Bowl instead of the Burrito because I don't like messy. The Burrito and Bowl are equally good. I have tried all four meats for the Burrito Bowls (steak, grilled chicken, pork, and spicy beef) and the spicy beef "Barbacoa" is my all time favorite. I like the brown rice instead of white and pinto beans in favor of the black beans. Then add the Barbacoa, one scoop of hot salsa, one scoop of medium salsa, cheese and lettuce. If if need to cut back and want healthy and lower fat/calories I leave off the cheese. If I leave off the cheese the whole bowl is 11 grams of fat. That is a lot of food and it is healthy and yummy. The best of the salsas is the Medium. It is what I love with their chips..which their tortilla chips have a little lime hint to them and are always fresh..and good. I try not to get the chips too often as they are NOT healthy but ARE yummy. The prices are very reasonable and I usually get out of there under ten bucks. The plus for me is I can only eat half the bowl, so I have another meal to go for another day. The staff is friendly most of the time, but I think they are so busy on the food line that is what they stay focused on. But any time I ask for a few more beans...or a little more cheese or salsa, they toss on a little extra with no complaints. They keep the tables wiped down and clean and the whole place is always clean and neat with the industrial look/decor. Good sodas and great sweet tea. They also have freshly made guacamole, and it is very tasty as well. Good food, comfortable, convenient. I am a repeater here. Did I mention that a lot of the food is organic? Even better.

I've worked retail before, so I know about customers who expect too much, which I'd like to clarify I am not one of. There are two issues with this Chipotle, and this is coming from someone who frequents other locations about 2-3 times a week. 1) The food is old. As I stated before, I regularly visit two other Chipotle resturants north of the Perimeter. Never had a problem with the food quality, it's always top notch. I've been here three times and each time the steak was clearly bland and the rest of the food stale. I thought it was a fluke the first time, but the next two visits confirmed it wasn't. I assumed a manager was trying to cut corners to boost numbers, which was supported with my run in with him below, which brings me to my second issue. 2) I love their guacamole. Most Chipotle visitors agree. It costs a lot, we know, but to some it's worth it. However, when in line on my third visit a person, who I assumed was the manager from his demeanor and ordering around of the other employees, was working the half of the line with the lettuce, salsa, etc. I asked for guacamole, and he proceeds to give me a little under a half scoop. Like I said when opening up my review, I'm not an entitled customer. I've dealt with them in the past and will never be one. But let's be realistic here, if you are going to change me almost $2.00 extra for guacamole, I want a full scoop. I politely asked for a bit more, in which he gives me a quick annoyed glare, and proceeds to scoop up what I would say was about a 1/5 of a scoop, not that high of a scoop either. I give him the "really?" eyes and he responded with the "take a long walk off a short pier" face. I just accepted it because I had a work appointment in a few minutes. Though I did ask the girl at the register if that was the manager, and sure enough it was. All in all, I firmly believe this Chipotle's manager is the reason for it's sub-par quality. I love Chipotle, but this location does not live up to it's name or quality.

This place gets 5 stars mostly because of the staff! They were the most friendly exciting people you could ever meet! Totally opposite from the Ponce de Leon location!

I stand in the traditionally long chipotle line (not an issue) just to pay for my salad and be told that they are out of salad dressing. When I ask when they will have more I'm told "whenever I can get back there to make more" as he glances at the line... and I was told to "have a nice day" with my dressingless salad. When I asked for a refund I was told to give him time to make more dressing. As disappointing as it is to run out of items it happens but to have it followed up by a nonchalant it's your fault for ordering a salad attitude adds insult to injury. And to have salad dressing shoved in My hand with no apology. .thank you for waiting or a simple word adds salt to the womb. It's been a long time since I've received such poor service and from an establishment that has so many great reviews, makes me wonder why my experience was so different

I love the burrito bowl man!!!! What else is there to say if you have not been there check it out ASAP. Get you some gucamole hey I don't know if I spelled that right but it's the green stuff.

I used to always be able to count on this Chipotle, everyone was nice (sometimes a little too nice). Every time I realize it's 9pm and I've yet to eat, it's there for me. Except today. Today has me rethinking visiting so often. It's almost 9, nobody is behind me, nobody is in front of me. I want a burrito. It starts off fine, I could have done with the chicken being a little drier, especially as we moved down the line. She barely gave me a chance to say what I wanted regarding sour cream and cheese. And then I asked for lettuce, I was given the smallest bit of lettuce I have ever seen. SERIOUSLY it's lettuce. I don't think it's being watered with organic milk, and there's no reason to be stingy with it. It's just crunchy water. And before I even had a chance to ask for more, she's wrapping up the burrito. And next thing I know, the tortilla has torn thanks to the liquid left from the chicken, and she's gone to help the next person, not to mention she did a horrific job of wrapping to begin with. What the hell. It's not a peak time and someone else had on gloves to get to that dude. So I asked the cashier if I could have a tortilla put around it and he was perfectly fine with that, even though it meant he had to go put on gloves and everything. With the price of a chicken burrito/bowl up $.30 now, that is not the way to treat customers if you wanna keep them around. So when I got home, I first forgot about the burrito being double wrapped. That may work for some people but damn, it's too much tortilla. So I took the new tortilla off, opened up the old one (which wasn't hard since it was busted after all), moved all the contents to the new tortilla, complete with a bite mark, and wrapped it back up. Guess what? My first time wrapping a burrito in a legitimate manner job was better than a Chipotle employee! Pretty sure if I see her again there I'm gonna accidentally forget something in the car and run far away.

You can't go wrong with Chipotle and this is certainly one of the better locations in the area. I come here much more than I'd like to admit but hey, it isn't that bad for you right? The employees serve up pretty generous portions here and I usually have enough to take home if I order a bowl. My regular order generally consists of a burrito with white rice, black beans, chicken, corn, hot salsa, cheese, and lettuce. Sometimes I am adventurous and get tacos but I usually just stick to my burrito. The quality of the food is always consistent here and their guacamole happens to be my favorite (besides my homemade guac of course). Fresh food and fast service.
(4)Dino S.
Very busy at lunch time. Everything fresh. Love the rice bowls. Tacos are good too. But you can't beat those burritos.
(4)Andrew W.
So good we are here twice in one day! And we walked to get there both times! Burrito was the choice of thr day, and had it two different ways, barbacoa and then steak for dinner. Awesome both times. I will always side to Chipoltle when options are given. Yummie!
(5)Andy S.
The food is as good as any Chipotle around but what sets this location apart is the insanely rude and unprofessional staff. I am not expecting greatness but common courtesy goes a long way. There is one guy who I will not describe here that I have witnesed multiple times being disrespectful to customers and when I complained to Chipotle the GM never responded and they sent me a form response. Guess chipotle doesn't bother with it since this location still makes them money
(1)Carla C.
Chipotle is the best burrito chain IMO. Their ingredients taste fresher and that makes for a better product. This location is near my job and I visit it at least once or twice a month. They are always clean and do a good job at the whole "customer instructions-assembly line" set-up. When you say light or extra, they actually try to give you light or extra. But be forewarned, their lunch time lines are epic. Like if you are on a tight time crunch, you may want to go elsewhere. Don't get me wrong, they try to move the line quickly. But when the line circles the whole restaurant, it will be a long wait no matter what (esp. when the guy in front of you has five orders for his coworkers). Lastly, I have to give credit to Chipotle for getting me to like guacamole. Before Chipotle, I never really touched the stuff. Now I eat it here and at other places; and I always compare other guacamoles to Chipotle's. Because their guac is SO GOOD!!
(4)Ginger W.
I totally like willy's better. this location is on a strip that has CRAZY lunch traffic. Go if you can walk. If you need to drive, give yourself time. They do have parking in the back, and a light to exit the location. the line moves fast. there are always lots of cute boys inline at this place.
(2)Johnathon T.
Chipotle has excellent food at a great value. Their burritos are top notch, their burrito bowls even better and with just the right balance between flavors that work together and variety, it's hard to find a quicker, tastier place to have Mexican-fusion food in Atlanta. That said, this location is sub-par to Chipotle overall. They're constantly understaffed, no one is ever in a really big hurry to get you out the door and at lunch time, you can expect to wait at least fifteen or twenty minutes in line. Granted, it's in the bustling business section of Buckhead, but come on - you know your workload, hire some more folks and get that line moving already!
(3)Jeffrey C.
Reliable Mexican food that is good but not great - I prefer the burrito bowl to the burrito. I always am frustrated that they don't include chips with their orders much like Baja Fresh, Moe's or Willie's but then once I am done I don't have any rooms anyways.
(3)Michael L.
My wife likes Chipotle a lot- sadly I can't say the same. A few days ago, I tried asking them to exchange my beans for some extra meat- no can do. No surprise. I can understand that- it's not a 'fair exchange' this beans for steak business, but I still can try to get my burrito to taste like a real one...like the kinds I would get in San Diego back in the day (El Cotixan, anyone?) So I eat mouthfuls of lettuce, rice, and some salsa...oh...and a little bit of super rubbery 'steak' here and there. 6-7 bucks for this stuff? Are you serious? Granted, I appreciate that the staff weren't mean in their rejection of my proposition. My love, please...no more. I hate feeling ripped off whenever we go to any and every Chipotle.
(2)Danielle C.
Was DELISH. Never have bad service or bad food here. Always rockstar status!
(4)Melissa K.
Yummy burrito bowls make low carb dining deeelicious and an easy no brainer when I don't want to cook. I ordered online and went straight to the register for pickup. No waiting in line. Hopefully their quick service will stay up to par for return visits!
(4)Jenn K.
I come here all the time and love not only the food but the people are very friendly. I love the burrito bowl and am never disappointed! They have brown rice now which I love!!! If you go around lunch, they are very busy, but the wait it not too bad. I also love the outdoor patio area. It's very large patio are and is nice and relaxing. Great place! :)
(4)Caesar M.
One word: Burrito Bowl....I mean two words....
(5)Nyssa D.
I like Chipotle. It's not my favorite assembly-line-burrito place, but it's up there. (Moe's still comes first, but Chipotle is a good second choice.) I love that they are working toward cage-free/hormone-free/grass-fed/organic. I'm big on that kind of thing! For a long time, that was one of the biggest draws for this place (Moe's has jumped on the bandwagon now too, though). It also mostly justifies the slightly higher price (the ingredients seem to be of fairly high quality as well, which may be part of it too). The flavors are always really great, although it seems like every time I come here my burrito ends up being spicy. This is generally fine for me, since I love spicy food, but what if I'm NOT in a spicy mood? Hmm... As others have said, boo on paying for chips/salsa. NO other assembly-line-burrito place does that, so what gives?! The chips and salsa are pretty yummy though. Chips have a great crispy crunch, with just the right amount of salt (and I LOVE that it's that pseudo-rock-salt stuff). But still, boo on paying for them!!! :( This location in particular has always been up to par - friendly, efficient, but nothing spectacularly outstanding. Overall, I like Chipotle, but can't justify spending the money all that often.
(4)Joe M.
Refused to make me a Quesoritto. This is an injustice that shall not be allowed to stand. Much like the Native Americans who were forced to subside on rice and beans on the trail of tears I shall to be forced to subside on a massive normal burrito.
(1)Julia N.
This is the best Chipotle location in the metro-Atlanta area. Hands down. It seems like they get blasted with customers, especially those during the lunch rush time, and the workers there keep the business going dutifully. I don't even have to think about the wait time, because the most I've waited was perhaps 5-8ish minutes with the line reaching the door. Not bad at all. The food is fresh, hot, saucy, appropriately soft, and delicious. I'm not going to go into the wonderful benefits on the fresh food marketing approach Chipotle has with which chicken they pick, etc. I get the chicken salad bowl with onions, rice, corn, and pico. Their secret sauce (which I've googled plenty of times) is very slick and tangy. If you're not into vinegar/honey based dressings, then you'll obviously disagree. They definitely make their money by other additions, such as chips and drinks. But man, sometimes there is no TexMex craving satisfied better than Chipotle can. I've ran into too much dry food at places like Moe's, but I've only ran into the delicious juiciness that is Chipotle.
(5)Greg R.
I love this place. Give me a burrito bowl with steak and I'm a happy camper. I just wished the chips had more salt and lime taste as they use to.
(4)Paul S.
This is my go to spot in buckhead when I can't figure out what I want for lunch... or dinner... or pretty much anytime I want to eat and they're open. Chicken Fajitas Burrito. Same thing everytime. You can taste the difference in the food here. Everything has this fresh to your mouth flavor to it. The service is incredibly fast and the line out the door at lunch quickly gets served and makes room for more soon to be satisfied customers.
(5)David K.
I don't really go to Chipotle all that much, so when Rami suggested that we have lunch there yesterday I was a little dumbfounded... Where is it? I quickly got on Yelp and found that this location was closest to my house. Once we got here I quickly recognized it as the old El Azteca that I used to love, so I figured that the new place would also have a place in my heart. I admire Chipotle for the efforts they make toward serving fresh and organic ingredients. While I'm not totally sold on the whole "eat all organic" idea, I don't think it hurts anything and definitely gives animals a better life before they're slaughtered for our consumption. Also, I especially like how they season their meat because it adds a delicious taste that you can't get any other way. The patio here is quite large and they have lots of umbrellas for shade and speakers to help drowned out the noise from Piedmont. Inside is welcoming and I like that the dining room is located pretty far away from where they prepare food. It makes for a much more pleasant dining experience (take note Willy's).
(5)Dim S.
Food was ok. Nothing special about the TexMex here. The staff was very impatient and rude. Typical Atlanta behavior I suppose.
(1)Amadi J.
I've been to a lot of Chipotle locations but his is by far my favorite one. I love sauce. When it comes to sauce I ask everyone making my food to make it swim. When it comes to the hot sauce I am adamant about this. I love sauce and spicy food. Their reaction my continuous request to pour on more and more and more is priceless. They always laugh. I love this because they don't charge me extra. I do recommend coming during slow hours. So do not go during lunch. You will be in line forever. If you still wish to do so. You can order online and it will be ready for you when you get there. I truly don't like that option because then you are not in control of your portions. All and all I love the staff here and I love the food. It is my little addiction.
(5)Lizzie H.
Mmm, my mouth is watering writing the review. Chipotle is by far my favorite burrito/burrito bowl joint in Atlanta. The best part of the menu is that it is SIMPLE. They don't bombard you with too many options, instead they keep it easy. I get the burrito bowl - less calories than a burrito! The ingredients are extremely fresh and delicious. Their meat is amazing, seasoned just right, and cut in bite size pieces. It would be nice if they would include a handful of chips with the order, but I'm sure my love-handles don't mind ;). I come here probably too often, but the service is fast (even if there is a long line, don't be scared), the food is consistant, and the location is relatively close to anything in buckhead/midtown.
(5)Collin S.
Awkward location for this one, especially getting to the parking lot, but this is one of my favorite quick restaurants to eat at behind Five Guys Burgers & Fries. If you want some good burritos, salad bowls, etc. THIS is your location! There's another one that I know of on Ponce de Leon if you're more downtown in Atlanta!
(5)J H.
I parked at a nearby shopping center and walked a block to get to this location. And it's always worth it. Any chipotle anywhere. Carnitas in a bowl. Great salsa and corn brown rice plus some chips. With bottled water $10. Not cheap, but probably similar to Panera and others. Food you don't feel guilty eating. Enough to fill you up. And quality that brings you back.
(4)David B.
I ate here recently since I started a new job literally within walking distance. Since I work odd hours and eat "lunch" at 3:30 in the afternoon, it was quite refreshing to be able to get a hot meal in a bag to go in less than 5 minutes. Granted, I've heard nightmares of this place being packed to the rafters during the actual lunch rush, people lined up out the door on the patio, etc, but this wasn't the case in the afternoon for me. Overall the quality seemed reasonable, everything looked fresh, tasted good, and filled me up for a long day that followed. My only complaint is paying such a ridiculous amount for chips and not even a reasonably sized cup of salsa. Salsa is cheap, come off some more people! I'll stop by again, seems to be a quick'n'dirty lunch, but I won't make a habit of it due to the prices. For those who don't know, Chipotle is actually a McDonald's franchise offshoot, which explains a lot about the place...
(4)Kevin L.
I absolutely love Chipotle and this location is no exception. It is pretty easy to get in and out of because there is a stop light on the road you turn on to in order to get into the parking lot, they have a good amount of indoor seating and a lot more outdoor seating than most chipotle's. If you are not familiar with chipotle it is a great place to go to get a great meal for under $10. Everything is put together in front of you so you can request more of something or less if needed, the ingredients are always fresh, their rice and meats (chicken and steak) have much more flavor than Moe's and you will definitely be full when you leave.
(4)Shahid S.
If you aren't eating here during the corporate lunch rush hour I wouldn't recommend this place at all as you results will definitely vary. It's usually all hands on deck during lunch so service is pretty efficient. When lunch ends who ever is left over working usually would rather be sew here else and it shows. I especially would not go at nice everything gets cold and it's just a completely different place. A place with bad food and bad service. So once again if you're going during lunch hours you're clear. Anytime after please beware.
(2)Jason T.
I agree with the person that said the person on the grill needs some training.. the chicken here is almost like jerky "dried grizzle". Here on a Sunday evening at 9:30, the music is so loud that the guy in front of me was literally yelling "steak" and the lady gave him chicken! The place is being run carelessly and the customers are being shouted in a tone that suggest that they're an inconvenience.. The place needs a lot of attention. Giving it two stars only because I'm a Chipotle fan in general, just not this location.
(2)Tessa S.
This review is solely based on this location and the parking situation. I love chipotle and their food and will continue to go, but I am so pissed off about the parking situation here that I won't return to this location. There is literally NO WHERE to park and this is not the first time that I have had to leave without food because of it. They are losing customers by not offering more parking. There were 20 spots open in the back, but "no chipotle parking allowed" was being yelled at me. And because I didn't want to get towed, I left. And again, this isn't the first time. I work in buckhead, but will be driving up to the perimeter location from this point forward. Smh.
(1)K M.
I love Chipotle 's!! I have come to this location a few times now as it is only 100 yards from the hotel I stay at in buckhead. The food is always good and the staff is friendly. This time the chips were the grease est I have ever had. They were not good. I would pull a chip out and have to dry my hand off.. I do not like that. That's the only reason for the 4 stars and not 5. All in all great food.
(4)Stephen M.
Worst chipotle I've been to! For several reasons I was incredibly disappointed with this chipotle. First, the service was sub par. It really wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. (No hello from any employee?) Second, the guacamole was horrible. It still had part of the hard center in it! It didn't seem mixed right either. Third, the lettuce was brown and clearly tasted old. Fourth, when wrapping my burrito, instead of double wrapping it when it was too big, the employee took food out of it and threw it away. I'm paying for that don't throw a fourth of my burrito away please! Just double wrap it like you're supposed to. And finally, one of the employees handling my food was chewing bubble gum! I'm pretty sure that's a health violation and also very gross! I hope the manager sees this review and makes some changes before I ever return!
(1)Alex H.
Great food! Chipotle is always a staple.

A Chipotle within walking distance of the office? A must. It's like moving into a new house close to a Starbucks: an absolute necessity. Peak hours tend to be from 12-1:30. Try to work your lunchtime around those hours to avoid the rush. However, the turn around is super fast and the line doesn't last long. Burrito bowls are my favorite, although the salad is more low carb diet friendly. Take advantage of extra rice (complimentary) and all the works that come for free. Guac is not free, but sometimes when they're super busy, they forgot to mark my guacamole and I end up getting it for free! So there ARE advantages to coming here when it's busy. Catering is also an option, seeing as my team ordered steak, chicken and veggie burritos to be delivered, along with chips, salsa and guacamole. It was my first time having a burrito and it was delightful, although a little soggy (not their fault, it was just sitting in foil for too long). I'm not happy with the extra calories this entails over their other offerings, though... I walk here so I don't experience the parking pains of others. I know there are parking spots out back that are shared with multiple restaurants. I've never seen the chaos that is lunch hour parking back there, but I'll have to assume it's not cute. Solid Chipotle staple!

Given the lengths one must go to in order to fight the Buckhead traffic to reach this inconvenient Chipotle location, you'd think the staff would make the experience worth its customer's time. The portions and ratio of selected ingredients were borderline offensive. The staff was unfriendly. By far the worst experience I've had in Atlanta. We will never return. Heck, I'd rather go to the Chipotle...IN THE MALL
(2)Leo B.
Chipotle is always great but this location is awful. The lines are super long. Everyone looks confused. It's really a shame how poorly they run this chain.

If anyone writes a bad review about this place it's a lie!!! There's not to many ways you can go wrong here. I always order the same thing when I come, chicken bowl and my daughter a chicken burrito. Food is always on point and fresh. I've never had a bad experience here. The staff is supper nice they always are on the ball with getting your order and getting you cashed out as quickly as possible. This is just like any other chipotle I've ever been to... BUSY! Line is usually crazy long but like I said before the staff works pretty swiftly. They have outdoor seating which is really nice when the weather is good. It's right on Piedmont which is a really busy street so the view isn't so boring. Even with his busy it usually they are r ally good about keeping someone in the dinning room to keep it as tidy as they can. I've had to clear off a table maybe once or twice but it's because I was trying to get the table before anyone else snags it up due to the traffic in there. Overall I love this place. Only thing I don't like is the long waits but they can't help that everyone loves chipotle so much I suppose. Also they do server margaritas so that's always a plus.

A few people on Yelp seem to be hating on this location. Not sure why... Despite the line at lunchtime, the workers worked like robots to get everyone through at a crazy speed. The food was delicious and consistent as always. Despite being impressed by their speed, I felt so rushed that I forgot a topping, but oh well. The restaurant is located in a central location and the building is fairly spacious for a chipotle. Free parking outback. Can't complain.
(4)Kenya R.
The food here was absolutely delicious. I am embarrassed to say that this is my first time trying the infamous Chipotle . I ended up getting the chicken burrito bowl. They had stuff to the bowl so I had more than enough. I also got the chips and salsa. The salsa had a spicy tangy taste to it which made it that much better. The line was very long during your usual lunch hour, but the employees kept the line moving at a rapid pace.i do have to complain about the horrible parking. There's maybe like two rows for parking at chipotle and the other parking is for a BBQ place if you park in the area of where the BBQ place is you risk getting towed or a boot. More than likely I'll visit this location again but only if I can find adequate parking.
(4)Kimi F.
How has anyone posted a bad review about this place? It's Chipotle, and it's fabulous. I like this location too it's always clean and the servers are nice. It can get pretty busy like all chipotles but the line moves quickly. Chipotle never really disappoints me!

First thing I'll say is you guys need to break out the broom and a dust pan and have someone out there cleaning better. Twice I've been and your floors are always filthy. For as much business as you do I'm sure u can afford the extra labor. I wanted to see what the hype compaired to Moes or Willys is and honestly I just don't see it. Chipotle claims to have higher quality ingredients and personally I think this to be false. Either that or who ever is on the grill doesn't know what he/she is doing. Dried out grizzle is what I was given both times and clearly only one person in the whole store actually knows how to roll a burrito. The rice is bland as well as the burrito and there is no melted queso (deal breaker) or sliced Jalepeno. This is Mexican food right? If I'm going for burritos this won't be my first choice.... ever.
(1)Alex P.
I love chipotle but the people who work at this location are so rude. I've never had a good experience with the staff here and I'm always polite. Wouldn't recommend it.
(1)Arya R.
I live next to this Chipotle and i travel to go to other ones the people who work here are all rude. Every time I'm here there is a line out of the door. People who work here are joking around and only 1 person is preparing food for a line of 40 plus people. Soda machine has been putting out flat soda for a few months i keep telling them they keep doing nothing. I they ripped the burrito twice and didnt re wrap again just gave me a broken burriot that fell apart in my hands. Line was too long to go back and complain. The owner of this Chipotle should be ashamed he's ruined such an awesome food chain. What an embarrassment to Chipotle everywhere
(1)M P.
I love Chipotle, just not this location. There is no parking, the lines are long, the staff is rude and the place is filthy! Even if you place your order online, you will have to wait to get it because the girl behind the counter will ignore you for about 10 minutes. Also, your online order will never be made correctly. I work in Buckhead and will drive somewhere else next time I'm in the mood for Chipotle.

We were a little disappointed in the consistency of this Chipotle when we visited the other day. It didn't seem like they had their 'A' team working. I got a Salad and was not asked if I wanted dressing. My husband got a burrito bowl, which didn't seem to be quite the normal size. We weren't asked about chips or anything at the checkout, and they didn't even ask us if we wanted a drink. I have had good experiences here before, so I'm hoping it was just an off night and their service is not going downhill. Generally I am a huge fan of Chipotle, so I hope that this location picks up the slack.
(3)Marlyncia P.
Poor customer service. Sometimes, the food is undercooked (i.e, the rice is hard). As a Chipotle fanatic, this is not my preferred location.
(2)Loren B.
Parking in the back. Friendly staff. Great Food. I came here for the first time a couple years to get a free burrito for Halloween....dressed in aluminum foil, good times. Good quality at a great price. You can't go wrong.
(5)Phil G.
Been coming to this Chipotle for the last couple of weeks. The first few times I didn't place my order online, so I had to wait, but luckily the staff at this location is fairly quick especially at peak lunch time hours. If you hate lines, ordering online is easy, and at some locations (not sure about this one), there is special parking for online orders. They are a little skimpy on the portions here hence the 4/5 rating, but I will continue coming here since it's the closest to me.
(4)Shelby S.
Why you no like pay for parking Chipotle? There is a cop at lunchtime ticketing people who park in the neighboring tenants' spots. Problem: all the people are eating at Chipotle and not aforementioned neighboring restaurants. I refuse to wait for a parking spot for food as if I were at the mall on Black Friday.
(3)Khuram D.
Like the other Yelpers said, This Chipotle sucks! The girls behind the counter are the least motivated human beings on planet earth. The food doesn't have the same flavor & freshness as the other locations. The salsas were put on sparingly. The bowl was a mess, I'd never come back here.
(2)Rob S.
I tried to get a burrito bowl with (just) beans. The server put so few beans in the bowl I asked if there was a way I could buy a side of beans. I wish I could have taken a picture. The rice was at least twice as much as the beans. At that point there was a communication breakdown and they started taking beans out of my bowl. I said thats not what I wanted and pointed out how few beans there were in the bowl. It was basically going to become a rice and lettuce bowl. The employees started speaking in Spanish to each other. At that point I said forget it ... and walked next door to naan express. That was a completely unacceptable experience at chipotle. Naan express was lovely.
(1)Susie L.
Visited this location for the first time, and I have to say it's my favorite! The staff here are very fast and efficient. Plus, they aren't stingy with the ingredients like other locations can be! They pile that stuff on! I will definitely be coming to this location whenever I'm in the 'hood! Highly recommend this location!
(5)Na L.
My first time at this location was okay, not as good as the one on ponce de Leon. The quac ingredients weren't chopped up enough leaving big chunks of onions, jalepenos, and cilantro. The chipotle hot in particular was way too hot. Not as amazing as the other location.
(3)Yisi L.
To make life easier, I have a list of all the restaurants near my office (Buckhead loop) and I tagged them, like "$$$, sit-down and slow", "boring", "questionable". And I put Chipotle under the category "Definitely!". Reasons you should eat here: 1) Super healthy: organic/grass-fed protein, complex carb, fresh veggies and healthy fat(avocado) 2) Affordable. It's Buckhead, baby. 3) Fast, relatively. 4) Patio. 28/100 Yelp 100 Challenge
(4)Jonathan E.
fucking horrible!
(1)Brandon S.
It is hard to top Chipotle as a good lunch option. The one downside is the long lines during the lunch rush, but the lines do move quickly. The food is healthier than most fast food options and you get to customize it as you like. The food is budget friendly as well, and yet it still tastes good. You also have the option to eat outdoors which is nice on warm days.
(4)J. S.
Extra rude manager at Buckhead location , asked for district manager's phone # after very , very poor service, and he started to argue with me saying "We don't give that out!" His name was david and he also was sitting down stuffing his face with food while his crew waited on a very long line of people. I think this location has been threw a long list of managers so I guess whoever is doing the hiring couldn't run a ' side of the road " lemonade stand. Mui mui poor standards at this location. Also very rascist people at location on Ponce de Leon in Atlanta. They give their freinds free food.
(1)Andrew C.
This is (unfortunately) not a very good Chipotle, and now I understand why some of my friends think Willy's is better. The ingredients just don't seem as fresh as at other locations, and tend to be a little flavorless (the rice is just rice, none of that cilantro lime goodness), and the fajita veggies are soggy. They give big portions, but it's really a quality versus quantity thing.
(2)Judah K.
The WORST Chipotle I've ever been to. I'm from out of town and went to this location for dinner and the food prep area was a disgusting mess. Granted it was a half hour from closing but that's no excuse. A worker walked out of the bathroom loudly telling her manager the toilet was broken and would not flush, then proceeded to go behind the counter to finish my burrito. Not what I want from someone handling my food. The tortilla broke and she sloppily threw the contents into a new one and I just told her forget it. Lu ended up asking someone else to make me a quesidilla and even that was bad with the cheese not melted. Bad employees and gross food. And I'm usually a big fan of this chain.

Disco-Chipotle! I am fighting through a burrito induced haze to write this review so pardon my grammar. I would give this Chipotle 4 stars as a fast food restaurant. I think they are about as good as it gets for something hastily thrown together in front of you. If you have missed out on Chipotle somehow, you can customize one of about four menu options: tacos, burritos (yeah!), rice bowls or salads (boo!). You then have an assembly line of taco-related items to pile onto whatever monstrous sized entree you picked. This particular location is right in the middle of a lot of office buildings (my old one included) and gets slammed at noon. I'm talking line out the door. Don't let this deceive you though, the line moves fast. The staff has relatively little turnover and they know what they are doing. They will be slinging burritos faster than you could imagine. Also, the meats are good at this location. They taste weird or extra-salty at some Chipotles, but they are just right here.

I travel quite a lot for business. I tend to stick to foods I like, and know will not cause me problems later (if you get my meaning). I love Chipotle Mexican Grill. I have eaten in Chipotle's in 20 states and 2 countries. This has to be one of the worst locations I have been to. The food tasted horrible, and pasty. I love Chipotle's, but not here. I ordered a Burrito, and chips and Salsa. The chips were greasy, the salsa flavourless mush. The Burrito was drowned in liquid from the black beans, and they overpowered all the rest of the flavours which is unusual. In the end, I threw out most of the meal and went with no lunch rather than force that slop down. I keep a log of places worth eating, and those to avoid. I will never go back to this location. Save your money, drive to any other Chipotle's or eat at the BBQ place next door.

Quality, quantity, freshness, and value. Great!!
(4)Ryan R.
They run a tight ship at the Piedmont Rd Chipotle. They are a well-oiled machine during their packed lunch hour. They consistently replace food when it gets low and the restaurant is clean. The only negative feedback is the parking at lunch - good luck finding a spot between 12-1, especially now that Lucky's BBQ has taken up half the parking lot. And though they're very quick serving food, be prepared to spend 5+ minutes in line at peak hours.
(5)Charles C.
By Far My Favorite fast food Mexican spot. Just don't go at lunch or dinner rush. You will be waiting forever. Always best to call and pickup. Still amazing food though.
(5)Brian S.
(My review references Moe's Southwestern Grill quite a bit, mostly because that's what everyone else used to compare this establishment to) **This was my first visit to a Chipotle, this review submitted on 10.7.2010** Very trendy exterior. Almost felt like I was walking up to an actual "sit-down" restaurant. Walking in you see a small drink station with the usual beverages (CocaCola products, sweet tea, with lids, straws etc.) Then you turn to see the food line and the excitement begins! Their menu is very simple. It's broken down into the basic Mexican food categories (burritos, tacos etc.) and they have similar, but more limiting toppings, to Moe's. Lettuce, salsa (Moe's pico), guacamole (extra $), onions, black olives..you get the idea. Pricing was decent. For the sized burrito I got, which felt slightly bigger than a Moe's burrito, and a large drink, I walked out paying $8.50. A meal that, at Moe's, would have cost me closer to $10. The taste was VERY refreshing. Such a noticeable difference in the freshness of these ingredients. I couldn't have asked for a better tasting burrito. Overall I'll definitely be going back. I can't really comment on the serving because, well, there wasn't much "service" involved. And for the price and proximity to work it is an ideal lunch destination for me!

It's Chipotle so it's awesome. This is my favorite Atlanta location, because the parking is infinitely better than the Ponce location.
(4)Joel D.
I hate Chipotle. I hate that they over cilantro everything I hate that the chicken tastes like it was marinated in dirt I hate that they don't have cheese dip I hate that they don't serve nachos I hate that they charge you $1.20 for chips I hate that since its close, people from the office always drag me there
(1)Graham L.
Love their burritos with chicken and their rice plus their chips with lime was good
(5)Susan F.
There are burritos, and then there are Chipotle burritos. Some days (like last night) nothing will satisfy my hunger like a Chipotle burrito or burrito bowl. Fresh rice, beans, savory barbacoa meat, fresh tomato and corn salsas, ooey gooey sour cream, cheese, and crunchy lettuce. What's not to love? The only thing I would change are the portion sizes. If they serve me a pound of goodness, I'll eat it. It's that good... and my stomach's not that big. Particularly, this location has a great patio to eat on when the weather is nice. The staff is generally attentive and friendly, I can get in and out in no time, and there's adequate parking around back.
(4)Scott S.
Very good, no chips unless you pay extra. I have read reviews where people have been hating on Chipotle. The times I have been there, the establishment has been clean, the buritto preparation areas are stocked with fresh ingredients and they can really put together a big ass burrito. I think the rice and beans are fresher and more flavorful than Moe's. The meats are also better. I especially love the Barbacoa. It's spicy beef that's a nice option in comparison to the regular overly grilled and tough micro hunks of beef you get at those other places. They also offer a variety of salsas. The corn salsa is sweet and spicy and the chipotle one is great too. The sour cream is free as well and I always grap a little of that when they make one. Plus they don't shout an obnoxious "Welcome to Chipotle as I enter the eatery.
(4)Casey M.
Big, fat, yummy, juicy, delicious, wayyyyy too big to eat burrito! Just the way I like it!!! Sidenote: i have been to a few different Chipotle's in Atlanta but this one makes their corn salsa a lil different. It surpasses the rest. If you go here, please get it. *Thank me later*
(5)Ricardo D.
Love this place!!! Not a big fan of take out and always trying to watch the wastline. Just cant seem to get enough of this place! Chicken burrito bowl with brown rice and salsa is always a win.
(5)Shawanda M.
I'm a little biased because I LOVE CHIPOTLE!!! My co-worker and I pre-ordered lunch today and went to pick it up...and much to my surprise all of the orders were correct and they were so fast and speedy with us checking out (separately, i might add), even though the line was going out of the door! i advice pre-ordering to anyone who's in a rush during lunch. i felt like a VIP, passing everyone in the line. good stuff.
(5)Shawn W.
On the plus side, the location of Chipotle on Piedmont Road is convenient, staff and cafeteria-style service are prompt and friendly, and interior and decor are clean and modern. There is no detectable Latin American influence in the restaurant itself, except the nationalities of some of the staff. I am happy to see McDonald's Corp. and its subsidiaries making money selling us products again (and not needing us to bail them out). On the negative side, tomato salsa is not freshly-made, or does not taste like it, and interior ambiance is LOUD. Overall, though not terrible at all, taste of products involving salsa is inferior to competitors Willy's and Moe's.
(2)Yuna P.
I had some horrible experience at Chipotle on Ponce de Leon. (If you feel strong enough, you could look it up.. it's too horrifying to remember!) So I tried to stay away from Chipotle at all cost. However, my sister is an avid Chipotle fan and when she came down to Atlanta last week, she threatened that we must eat at Chipotle at least 3 times. Not wanting to die so early in my life, I had to take her to Chipotle. Since I didn't want to go to the Ponce location, I decided to take her to this particular Chipotle location. Let me just say, I have misjudged Chipotle, because of one horrible location. We went during the lunch rush hour, yet the line was moving very quickly. Although they were really busy, the staff was very nice. I had the Steak Fajita Burrito, which was really good! I put way too many topping in my burrito, making my burrito literally explode. (Lesson learned the hard way.) Thanks to this location, I now go to Chipotle from time to time. But only this location, never the Ponce one!
(4)Joseph D.
This Chipotle is one of the easiest places to get to on my lunch break. In this area, which has a woefully inadequate selection of reasonably priced places to eat within a short walk or drive, this place is usually very easy to make it to. Traffic is a bish in this part of town to say the least, and I hate to spend my little half hour lunch in it. Anyway, Chipotle is probably my favorite chain burrito joint. I do wish they'd throw in some free chips like Moe's though.
(4)Hector M.
The worst chicken burrito I have ever had in Atlanta or for that matter anywhere...not going back. Willy's is the place for burritos in Atlanta and this is where I will go next time I am in the mood for a chicken burrito.
(1)Jessica Y.
Living behind Chipotle is dangerous for my health but happy for my tummy. Needless to say I eat here way too much out of convenience and taste. Restaurant is open great hours, has convenient parking, a large outdoor seating area and is always spotless. YUM!
(5)Brandon D.
If you are in the mood for filling, good, fast, Mexican food this is your place. I don't know why anyone would ever go to Moe's if there is a Chipotle within at least 10 miles. The steak is my least favorite of there meats (and I love steak), so I usually get something else. I would rank the meat options as follows: 1) Carnitas, 2) Chicken, 3) Barbacoa, 4) Steak
(4)Joanna F.
Spectacular guacamole. Long lines at lunch but worth it
(5)Philip G.
If I lived within a reasonable driving distance of this place I would be there now! And now an Ode to Chipotle - C - is for the chicken or steak that graces my burrito. Whatever I want you are always there for me. H - is for the hot sauce, which I don't go for, but I like to a combo of mild and medium salsa. (it is a little spicy so beware!) I - is for the instant high I receive when walking through the doors to heaven (ie Chipotle) P - is for the pico de gallo, sour cream and occasional guilty pleasure .... guacamole that is graciously lumped onto my burrito O- is the only shape my mouth can take while chowing down, the burrito is huge and to cut it into manageable bits would be BLASPHEMY. T- is for the tasty morsels now stuck in my teeth or the food that has dropped into my lap. Never you mind. Those are the second course L- is for the love that pours from my heart as I try to think of things to say about this heavenly silvery treat E - is for envy. For I have moved to Little Rock, AR in the past month and the closest Chipotle is 4 hrs away in Springfield, Missouri. Love you Chipotle, I promise to write often!
(5)Isabel Y.
for me this is heaven
(5)Amanda C.
I love, love, love Chipotle and this particular location is great. They get very busy at lunch but move quickly so you don't have to wait too long. My favorite meat is the Carnitas, so yummy! I appreciate the fact that their menu is limited, it makes your decision quick and easy. I also think their guacamole is very yummy - if it wasn't so fattening I would get it every single time. I think the price is pretty reasonable (although it can get pricey fast if you get a burrito, chips, guacamole and a drink) and the portions are generous. I would eat at Chipotle every other day if I could.
