I love Carrabba's and this location never disappoints. We had an awesome server, Randy, who was able to put up with my crazy group. We ordered drinks and appetizers to start and were served pretty quickly. We tried the spinach fonduta for the first time and it was pretty good. It was more cheesy than I expected which kind of masked the taste of the spinach. But it was good. I didn't know Carrabba's had a lunch menu, so it was nice to see some of their lunch offerings even though I ordered my favorite, Pollo Rosa Maria. It was delicious and did not disappoint in any way. Everyone at the table was very happy with their lunch. Can't wait to go back for more!

My favorite is the chopped salad (no meat or cheese) and capellini "specialty" pasta with Picchi Pacchiu sauce, broccoli, mushrooms, spinach, capers, and peas; a vegan delight, yummy!

I was the organizer of a group event (there was 12 of us) for a non-profit organization and our event went successfully at Carrabba's! Initial Reservation: Carrabba's actually told me that they do not take reservations for groups ahead of time (I called 3 weeks in advance) and that they can only write down my name and head count for that specific date as a note for them. I asked for a group set priced menu and she told me that I can choose the dishes the day of the event. I left my name and phone number and everything went smoothly. The lady I spoke to was very pleasant and professional. On the day of the event, Carrabba's called me in the morning to confirm the event scheduled for the late afternoon (the event was at 3pm). I was glad that they were aware/remembered the reservation. 5/5 Arriving to location: I was the first to arrive (around 15 min before) and a cook (I'm assuming, he had a different uniform) came to me and told me that I was supposed to have selected the entrees beforehand. However, he said that I could choose the dishes then and I selected their 3 $12.99 specials for the group to pick. It didn't turn into a big misunderstanding like I thought it would (maybe because it's after the lunch rush). 4.5/5 Service: They printed out copies of the special menu (the 3 entrees) for the group and took drink orders. The waitress was very courteous and attentive to everyone. 5/5 Food: Because the food wasn't the main point of our organization's event, I guess it had a less impact on me. But I do think their selection was rather common and the food was on the salty side. I had a shrimp dish with orzo pasta along with a chicken soup. I think Carrabba's is on the same level as restaurants like Applebee's and Red Lobster. 3/5 Overall: I was happy with the experience and was glad that holding a group event there was less painful that I thought. As for coming here with family and friends, I don't think it will be my go-to place, but they might get my business again if I'm in the area.

Very happy with the service and delicious food! Gabby was our waitress and was very attentive and awesome for substituting veal for chicken. No complaints here, awesome first time dining experience at this establishment!

I think the last time I ate at a Carrabba's was in 2006, in New Jersey. If I recall correctly, it was a date night, and my then-boyfriend and I were broke as a joke. I remember the meal was a splurge for us, and I liked the pasta fagiole soup. Nine years later, I found myself at a Carrabba's location at Perimeter, half a coast away. I'm usually skeptical of chain restaurants, but in my attempt to be a flexible and accommodating spouse, I took a seat. It was later in the evening - perhaps close to 10pm, when they were closing at 11 - but the staff was cheerful and offered us our choice of table. I almost couldn't decide what to order because there were so many options. Most seemed to have some sort of chicken or shrimp component. The hot, fresh bread with herbed olive oil was a fine way to start a meal. As a table, we went with mussels as an appetizer. The lemon-basil sauce was unapologetically buttery, but I threw caution to the wind and dipped that bread in it until I thought I had no room left. As far as entrees go, I'd hate to be a vegetarian here. Many plates seemed to feature some sort of creamy sauce, so I went with what looked like their specialty. I got the fettucine Weesie: fettucine in white wine cream sauce, served with shrimp, mushrooms, and garlic. I was pleasantly surprised. After a satisfying bowl of minestrone soup, which was filling and delicious with a variety of veggies and beans, I barely had room for my entree. The pasta was of the fresh egg variety, always a welcome touch. Although the dish was overwhelmingly heavy, especially after all of the bread, buttery sauce, and soup, it was flavorful. The sauteed garlic was a nice touch. Everyone thought their entrees were fine. Nothing stood out as amazing, but nothing was terrible. That's my three-star rating: a-okay. They're not reinventing the wheel here, but they're not doing anything that will send you packing in a hurry. Service was very friendly and kind, with a good sense of "reading the room" - my group was not in any hurry, and we weren't rushed.

We decided on going to Carabbas for a going away party because of its convenient location. We called a week in advance and made a reservation for 30 people. When we showed up at the location there was only seating arranged for 20 people and they kept adding more chairs and tables. We were kind of okay with that but after a point we couldn't add any more tables or chairs as we met the wall. This was a bit disappointing because they failed to arrange a table for 30 people when we reserved for 30(one of our colleague who arrived late left because we couldn't accommodate him). The food was okay. My 5 stars would definitely go to service as the 2 waitresses waiting our table were on the top of what they were doing and not even once we had to look for them to refill water. They were constantly checking on us and they were OK with giving us all separate checks.

Found a roach in my to go order of spaghetti. I'm quite disappointed, because Carrabba's was my favorite. I immediately returned to the store after getting home and settling in for the evening and found the dead six legged creature floating in my spaghetti sauce. I spoke to someone who I assume to be the manager on duty. He went through a speech of "this has never happened...we are up to date on code and health inspections...", etc. He then offered to fix me something else, but I declined and requested a full refund. He understood and provided a full refund back to my card. This breaks my heart, because I've been such a fan for so many years.

Carrabba's is good middle of the road Italian food. Never too spicy, salty or runny. I admit it's the P.C. version of Italian food but sometimes it's nice to take the middle of the road. The drinks were good, not as strong as I usually like but this is Dunwoody old money lives here. No complaints here the food is decent & I like the area. If you're here & want some good Italian come check them out.

We had the best time today at Carabba's Italian Grill in Dunwoody. We were well taken care of by Katie(Katia). Ask for her if you go, she is great! We built our own pasta dish out of corkscrews and tomato cream sauce, added a chicken breast cooked in olive oil. Split a caesar salad and crab cakes for appetizer. We ordered some angel hair with marinara for the boy. He loved it. Did I mention the bread and olive oil? I know Carabba's is a chain Italian Restaurant, but they are consistent. The spices and olive oil are to die for. The bread is always so fresh baked tasting. I recommend it, recommend it , recommend it.!!!!!! They treated us great. We had a good time and will go back soon. Thanks for a great time Carabbas! p.s. Google directions are not very clear, so if your not familiar with the area, it is in the same shopping center as Taco Mac, Mimi's, and Target.

I have come to this Carrabba's for lunch now than I ever did when I worked in the area. If you want to go to a nice quiet restaurant with hardly any customers and quick service come here. I am sure that they are packed for dinner, but for lunch it is a quiet oasis! I must admit that the only thing I get at Carrabba's is Chicken Marsala, but they do a fantastic job with this dish. I have yet to find another place that makes Chicken Marsala as well as this restaurant does. Additionally, I never have to ask for more tea because a full cup arrives at my table when I am just about halfway done with the first one. I highly recommend this location if you need to get in and get out, want a good lunch, a good wait staff, and aren't wanting to run into too many folks.

Don't judge me.... I was starving and decided to suck it up and give Carabba's a try. I was actually pretty blown away. No...this wasn't the best Italian food by any means. But! it did blow away my expectations.. The chicken parm was a pretty big piece of meat. The chicken was murdered like in other places and I thought it was flavorful. Let's be serious folks... when you walk into a Olive Garden, or Carabbas, or Romanos you're not looking for 4 star cuisine.. you're looking to satisfy a hankering for pasta. This place did it for me. It wouldn't be a date place, but it satisfies my needs. I'll Consider this on my list instead of Applebee's and Outback! 7/365

I think Carraba's has gone downhill with their food quality, no wonder there are a lot of promotions going on. Their food and service used to be fantastic, unfortunately it's not the same anymore with the food. -The Chicken and Sausage soup was the best out of our meals. -The Calamari was salty and dry. -The "Lasagne" tasted sour, like too much vinegar or they used some other type of sauce and the Parmesan Chicken was extremely salty excluding the cheese topping. We were going to order the Apple A La Mode but fear it would taste horrible as well. I think this experience has traumatize my liking for Carrabba's. I think I will be crossing this off the list of places to eat. I may give it one more chance at another location but this location is done.

Food was good BUT the service was terrible! The waiter was too busy doing...God's know what because the place wasn't busy at all. We had to flag him down to ask about our drink order (sofas) then our food. Then we were served the adult meals but the kids pizza never came. He tried to blame it on the kitchen but I honestly believe he didn't our order in then forgot to add the pizza. It probably wouldn't helped if he wrote it down when we gave it to him. I don't know why we didn't call the manager but it was such a long day we just wanted food. Never again!

I love Italian food and I have to say unless you are doing takeout eating in is average. The place needs a renovation. The menu needs an update and a makeover with fresh seasonal ingredients. Maggianos is better. Everything just seems so salty and not fresh. It's very very average. Try something else.

Great customer service! Our server should go and work at a higher end restaurant. She was really on the ball. The food, eh, not so much. How does an Italian restaurant run out of mozzarella cheese? The bread and olive that they served while we were looking at the menu was the best part of my meal. I ordered a panini which was just gross. It had overcooked chicken in it. We also ordered a spinach goat cheese flat bread. It was ok, but nothing great. Would I eat here again, probably not, but at least I can say I tried it. Again, props to the server. She was great!

Unfortunately I'm forced to eat at this Carrabba's location a few times a year - not because it's anyone's preference where I work, but rather it's one of two places (the other is the Taco Mac next door) that can seat a large work party - this tends to be a place we can walk to from our offices across the street and send people off who have found another work opportunity. The food isn't horrible if a bit pricy for what you get - a bit too "institutional" for want of a better word. It's relatively consistent and they'll bring you all the bread you can eat with your meal so you can still fill-up. My problem is that the food is on the mediocre side and the portions are on the small side, so I always feel like I've overpaid, especially with all the other great restaurants in the area. So why only 2 stars? As I've already stated, we've eaten here at least 3-4 times a year for the past 3 years, and it never fails that someone's food is forgotten AND the bill is always screwed up. Having worked in the industry I understand that it's tough managing groups of 15-20, but you would think this location would get it right, at least once out of about a dozen visits. Unfortunately that is not the case. We ate here again today to send off a co-worker and it gook 30 minutes to get out while they tried to figure out the bill - not only was it wrong but the drink to entrée combinations were all over the place in the checks. AND there was one person who arrived late in a group of 4 who was still waiting on his entrée - note that the other 3 had already completed their meals and had checks. Of menu items - I like the Mediterranean salad reasonably well - had that today. The salad was a bit heavy on the artichokes but otherwise fit the bill, especially with the piece of grilled salmon on top. I didn't get full until I added a couple of pieces of bread but frankly, I probably didn't need the extra calories. It was more to have something to do while the bill was figured out. Sorry to harp on that but what's the point of taking a reservation that size if you can't deal with it? I've also had a couple of the pastas and the chicken marsala - nothing exciting but palatable, if of rather smallish proportions. The soups aren't bad if you're in a rush (paired with a panini and it's reasonably quick). You have all these other Italian-like places around that provide HUGE family style portions for about the same price - not sure why you would eat here - hard to believe that there are that many in the area that like this place enough to keep it busy.

I love the appetizer platter. The service is good and I love the pasta with scallops. I go at least 2x a month. The cooks are awesome and do a good job. The food is usually fast. They need to work on their health department score . Anything below 90 is not good and people including me have to think twice to eat there :(. A believe their score is 84. So that means there is something going on .

Wonderful service, wonderful food, wonderful place to sit and relax at the end of the day. Currently, they are having a special: Buy one get one for $13. Although there are only 4-5 selections on this particular special, it is well worth it. We had the penne pasta with the grilled chicken, red pepper and mushrooms on a white cream sauce. Since I am not too big on tomato sauce, this is the best for me. On the other Carrabba's location, I was denied to substitute the penne pasta to a spaghetti pasta, but in this location, they allowed me to do so, which is perfect! I mean, how hard is it to change pastas? I find penne to be too heavy and chunky, and I am really glad for this tiny little tweak. We also tried their new appetizer... can't remember exactly the name... Francini? Welp, for $6, you get 6 fairly good size balls of this fried Risotto-like creation. The texture on the outside was great ... nice and crunchy with that soft flavorful rice mixture on the inside. Although it was interesting, I just did not think $6 was a good price for it. I also heard the tables behind us complain that it was not what they expected ... although they did not make a fuss and even insisted on not having it removed on their ticket, the manager still came by their table and immediately offered various compensation to that table. Talk about great service! That is how it should be! When things aren't done right, send over the manager - it is always a welcome gesture by the customers. Bread is always my fave, but the sausage lentil soup was not on point today. We found it a bit watery and bland? I dont know ... maybe that appetizer was saltier than the soup which made it taste bland since we ate it after the app. All in all, a wonderful service. For the current price of their special, you really cannot beat it. Our server was also very professional and quick. We ate so much we hardly finished our entree, and our server was quick to put it in a box for us, and she even gave us the other loaf of bread that we couldnt finish (she gave us a second one since we finished our first one before the entree came ,,, and we did not even have to ask for it.)

Ate there first July 7,2014. Got "The Johnny" which is a "steak" and a chicken breast with some seasoning and then choice of sides. I had garlic mashed potatoes. IT WAS HORRIBLE. The steak was inedible being utterly riddled with gristle. This cut of beef (or whatever it was) was meant to be slow cooked in your Mom's crock pot for at least 24 hours at which time it might MIGHT be edible. The potatoes were fair and the chicken was fair to poor. I complained and the manager Juan or Jose promised a free repeat for them to get it right. I took them up on it tonight August 22nd 2014. HORRIBLE!!!. SAME EXACTLT except this time the potatoes were cold and I ordered a 13$ pizza figuring I'd have some cold pizza tomorrow if things were better or something decent to eat if it wasn't. WRONG!! The pizza was cold with a way too chewy crust and overly salty toppings. It wasn't up to Pizza Hut, Papa John's, or Domino's standards, much less a local Mom and Pop that could do an extraordinary pie. This is by far some of the worst food I've ever eaten and since I've given them two tries it isn't an "off night." They just have horrible ingredients prepared horribly. I didn't call the manager back this time as I would never ear here again unless oh.....I am starving and they're giving it away. Seriously folks....go to Grocery store and buy a Stouffer's pizza, save a lot of money, and enjoy yourself more. This place stinks. How food like this gets franchised all over the country can only mean that the zombie apocalypse has arrived.

Oh, no. No, no, no, no, no. Listen, I don't mind a chain restaurant. I don't mind Olive Garden either, even though everyone seems to think that they're the lowest of the low. But we need to talk, Carabba's. When you make risotto, it should not be clumpy. If it is and the lumps are the size of a ping-pong ball, throw it out and start over so that your guest can enjoy some fluffy little rice. Also, two shrimps in the shrimp risotto?? Way to be stingy.

A slow Wednesday night... About 5 tables in the restaurant... Including ours. The service was so slow, but not slower then the food. We waited 20 min for our appetizer, only to be told the kitchen didn't make it cause they lost the ticket. To top that off... It's an open kitchen, so the entire restaurant witnessed the exchange between our server and the kitchen... It was not pretty. Finally our appetizer comes... With no explanation or apology for taking so long. We had ordered salads to go with our main course as well. 20 min go by. No food. 15 min go by. No food. Finally my husband had to ask for our salads. 10 min later, they arrived. At this point our server is no where to be found. Not keeping us in the loop of what is taking so long with the kitchen... Nothing. And that's all we needed. Just a heads up would have made all the difference. Finally... After another 15 min.. Our entrees come. Super disappointed in the size and quality of the food.. But at this point we are just ready to get out of there. We already know service is slow... So we ask for the check and a to go box. Again... 10 min go by. Finally the check comes... No to go box. We ALWAYS tip 20% or more... Always.... Not this time. Horrible experience. COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS!! Don't hide because the kitchen is slow. And the manager on duty..... Was no help at all. Will never waste money here again.

When I first visited Carraba's about ten years ago I don't recall being especially impressed. It wasn't that the food was bad, per se, just something on par with The Olive Garden, substantially lesser in equality than a Maggiano's and obviously not even close to a "real" Italian restaurant like Alfredo's. Things have certainly improved since then, which is to say it's more an equal to Maggiano's and still not as good a "real" Italian restaurant. We visited the Carraba's located in the Perimeter Center. There isn't much atmosphere to speak of. It lacks either a cool, open, ambient feel and it doesn't have that old school, nostalgic, 1960-ish look, either. It's clean and large enough such that on a Friday night we didn't feel cramped in, but generally boring and business-like. It's not somewhere I would recommend to come and hang out for drinks or even linger very long after dinner. The food is quite good, though. The menu is fairly large but not to the point to seem scattered and without direction (e.g., the Cheesecake Factory). We started with the mozzarella marinara which is precisely what one would expect and hope - this is to say, crispy, delicious fried cheese served with a marinara sauce to compliment it. No complaints there, I'd certainly order it again. For the entree, we both had the Pollo Rosa Maria which is a grilled chicken stuffed with fontina cheese and prosciutto topped with mushrooms and a basil lemon sauce. This was outstanding. The chicken was smoky, juicy and the sauce was great (and if you like basil and lemon as much as I do, you'll probably agree). Many of the dishes are served with the Cavatappi Amatricana. It's basically macaroni noodles with some cheeses and marinara sauce. Quite good, but retrospect, I think fettucine alfredo (which is available for an upcharge of a dollar or two) may have gone with my chicken better. The prices are about on par with what one would spend at an upper-echelon chain restaurant. Appetizers range from around $6 - 12 each and entrees from $12 - 25 or so. Portioning is strong - you'll probably have enough for a midnight snack or lunch the next day. In conclusion, I'd definitely go back to Carraba's for dinner or lunch. Wine or beer over said meals may be in order, but I wouldn't recommend it for a birthday party, night out, etc. Overall though, four stars for the solid menu and completely pleasing dinner. Pros: Really good food, easy seating. Cons: Not much atmosphere to speak of. Verdict: Recommended.

Came here for the first time for a friend's birthday last weekend, and it was a pretty A-OK experience. I'm pretty biased when it comes to Italian food because, I naturally, don't have a preference for it, and when I do, I am VERY picky about it. Our end of the table ordered the 3-dish sampler and the shrimp scampi as the appetizer and the calamari was pretty standard of other restaurants. The shrimp scampi had a nice buttery touch to it, and it was really good to eat! I think that's one of the dishes I enjoyed eating most. I ordered the spaghetti with meatballs and meat sauce, and I was not to fond of it. I like my spaghetti to have a bit more sauce on it than usual, and this did not. All I tasted was the spaghetti noodle. Some friends ordered the lobster ravioli and they deemed it heavenly! Although, it's a VERY small dish. You get a large plate of about.. 8-9 ravioli, and it was definitely not full-filling for anyone who ordered that dish. Overall, this plate is pretty cool, and I might give it a try, again, but we'll have to see for now...

Better American chain restaurants consistently offer superb customer service. Carraba's service is outstanding. The waitstaff are unfailingly professional, helpful without being intrusive. If grading by service I'd give Carraba's Ashford Crossing location 5 out of 5 stars. When it comes to food, Carraba's Italian Grill is a step down from Maggiano's. But Their prices are lower, too. Veal is not what to order at Carraba's. The sauces tend to the heavy side and the veal is very similar to what you can buy at Costco. Mainly good, but not cut perfectly. My companions scallops with the Spiedeni a la Mare were quite good. Chicken dishes are their specialties. Carraba's Fettucini Afredo caters to the indulgent American palate. It's a bit heavy but OK.. I haven't yet tried red sauce dishes there but I shall go back soon and report. Carraba's offers a suitable selection of wines, $10 a bottle discount on Wednesday nights. As I indicated, Carraba's Italian Grill is less luxe than Maggiano's but more affordable for casual dining.

I have been to Carrabba's twice in my life. And the first time, at a different location, was fine. Nothing memorable. But this last time I went was completely unforgettable in a bad way. I am giving this two stars because of the experience I had, but I wouldn't be surprised if I went more consistently if it would be bumped up to three because I am hoping I just happened to come at the worst possible time. I visited this place with two friends. We called ahead to put our name on the list, and when we arrived, we noted it was busy, but not line-out-of-the-door-busy. We were told to wait for ten minutes before they could seat us. To our surprise, no less than two minutes later our buzzer started beeping. A good sign. We were seated. Five minutes later the waitress came around for our drink order. I was annoyed at how long that took, but I wrote it off because it was a busy night. Little did I know what would happen next. When she brought the drinks by in another five minutes, we ordered an appetizer and our food. We then began talking, and one of my friend's was irritated that she still hadn't brought bread out. TWENTY MINUTES LATER (I timed it on my phone) I got up from the table, walked to a random waitress because our waitress still hadn't come back around and asked for bread. A few minutes later our waitress came around with the bread, but no appetizer. Appeased for the moment, I took a piece of bread only to notice that the inside was so undercooked, it nearly had the consistency of dough. I mean, I wasn't being picky - I am not picky about food - this bread did not look like it was baked thoroughly. Needless to say I rolled it up into a ball and made it into a mini-pizza with sauce and cheese and just sat it on the table because that was a fun little activity while we waited another fifteen minutes for her to finally bring the appetizer and food out to us. It would have been fine if the food actually tasted alright. But nope... the chicken Alfredo tasted more like frozen peas than anything else. The soup tasted like Progresso and the baked ravioli tasted like it had Prego poured over it. And we paid so much much money for that meal? I left feeling very angry. I am not super high maintenance when it comes to Italian or American-Italian, or even food in general. But Carrabba's - you should know better. Get on your game, because I will not eat at this location again.

I've been to carrabas twice and I wasn't that impressed. But... In this case I have to say we had a really good time. Camilla was our waitress and pretty much made the nite!! Sometimes the experience is just as important. Thank you. Scott, (and family)

Take out order. Sat at the bar drinking a glass of sangria while I waited. Bartender, Carrie, was friendly and attentive. Curbside required I pay them separately for my order and the drink at the bar despite the bar being their recommendation - would have rather ordered food at the bar as I asked the hostess for upon arrival. Sangria good but needs more fruit. Screaming kid shortly after arrival in bar area seemed inappropriate.

For the record, we went here a few weeks ago and EVERYTHING was EXCELLENT, not so this time... A few weeks ago we ordered mussels and it was awesome, the broth was wonderful and the mussels tasted fresh. Well, tonight the broth was AWFUL, it tasted like water and some of the calamari didn't taste fresh. We also ordered a second appetizer, calamari. Our waitress asked if we wanted a particular sauce on it, since we weren't familiar with the sauce we asked that it be placed on the side and not on the calamari. She said that wouldn't be a problem. Well, the chef poured it on the calamari. That wasn't really an issue for us, because when we did receive the correct order of calamari, it was DELICIOUS! We ended up taking our entrees to go, so I don't know how those taste. Our waitress was great and the manager was a nice fellow. He asked us if everything was ok, and offered an explanation as to why the mussels' broth was watery. He deducted the mussels from our tab without us even asking, and to be honest with you, it never occurred to us to ask (it's been a LONG week). We were stuffed from the calamari and the Caesar salads. One of the Caesar salads didn't have croutons, we had to ask for them. Which now that I think about it, the previous time we had dinner here, NEITHER of the Caesar salads had croutons! Lol, I guess everything wasn't perfect the time before.

I am a fan of Carrabba's either way. I love it here, the food was great, the drinks were great... missing star? The service was "Okay" Will I be back? Yes, this is actually my 3rd time to this location. We had the mix dish of steak with red wine sauce and the fish. I LOVED the steak but didn't enjoy the fish as much.

I'd have to say this is the best Carrabba's in Georgia. Been coming here for years. Fast and quick service from the hostess seating folks down and the waiters being attentive. No complaints the times I've been. Hopefully I don't jinx that with this review. FOOD is always good. Perfect portion.Italian food obviously. It's a franchise, but a good one.

Let me preface this by saying I come from an Italian family, and I'm pretty critical of Italian restaurants, and am generally not a fan of the big chain Italian (I consider saying the name O***e G****n to be profanity of the highest order). That said, Carrabba's is pretty good. Like most big chains (of any style food) they tend to have a heavy hand with the salt, but otherwise, pretty much everything I've had is good. Recently tried the Shrimp Scampi for the first time, and the shrimp was shockingly large and fresh. Pollo Rosa Maria is my go-to dish - big flavor here. The house salad is about what you'd expect. The little lady loves the Chicken Brian. And service is typically better than most chains. If you're looking for a traditional, authentic Italian restaurant, Carrabba's definitely is not it. But if you're looking for some tasty food, Carrabba's is worth a shot.

Hey when hungry, get familiar with something you know and trust. I know the expectation level when I walk into franchise restaurants. Chicken Marsala still kicks a**!!!

This is a cool place to have THREE sangrias for $8.5 :-) My friends and I went there 2 weeks ago. The food was so-so but the drinks were great!

My dining experience at Carrabba's was the absolute best!!! From the wine selection to the dessert (which was on the manager's tab), everything was great. I will definitely come again.

I never heard of Carrabba's before and did not realize it was a chain before reading reviews. I was in Atlanta on business and we don't have this chain where I live. The atmosphere was OK for me. I wouldn't call it fancy at all. It is Christmas time and they were playing Christmas music and had some Christmas lights and a tree with white lights up. They sat me right away and took my order. I order the chicken pram and paid the extra $1.50 to make the side fettuccine Alfredo. The food was pretty good and the portions were pretty large. The place reminds me sort of like an Olive Garden. It was good and I would come back if I find myself in Atlanta again.

I LOVE Carrabba's. The wait is never too long & the food is always wonderful. The servers are always good too. The Lobster Ravioli is my fav, but if I'm not in the mood for seafood, I'll order Mezzaluna. I'm not a salad person so I always order their minestrone soup instead & it's amazing... Especially when you dip their amazing bread into it! I've never had dessert here until the other night. We had the brownie that is brushed with Kahlua with a side of ice cream. Super good! And, if you're a wine drinker, their house Pinot Grigio is really nice. This Carrabba's never disappoints!

I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Carrabba's. I've been to a couple of locations, and the experience has always been a good one. This time was no different. Today I visited the Perimeter location with my immediate family. We were seated immediately and waited on by Joe, who was quick on his feet and very helpful. My sister wanted to change her side after tasting the one she chose and within a couple of minutes she had what she wanted. I always order the Pollo Rosa Maria with cavatappi and, as with each time I've had it, it was delicious. I ordered the small serving and had enough to take home for dinner. My sisters ordered the small Calamari appetizer, the Mozzarella Marinara appetizer(both were good and enough to share with the table), and for their entrees the Salmon and the Pasta Weezie. Neither had any complaints-other than the side change- about their food. My kids both had pepperoni pizzas, which were pretty yummy. My mom ordered for the Shrimp Scampi and said that she enjoyed it but it didn't taste the same as it had in the past. As before, I enjoyed my visit and will definitely be back.

For this to be a chain restaurant, it's one of my faves. I never had an issue with the quality of food or service. I love the herb olive oil blend. The caesar dressing is amazing. I've had many different types of entrées including pizzas all tasty. I would def recommend.

Went last Friday for supper with the family, service was very attentive and pleasant. I ordered the veal Marsala with a side of pasta and was very pleased as the veal was tender and flavorful, pasta was decent as well. Definitely will go back again!

The grilled Mahi was so delicious and juicy... The waitress was very attentive and even suggested the BlackBerry Sangria that was soo soo tasty.... I wish I could have taken some in a to go cup! Overall a great experience for lunch... Thanks Carrabbas for being so good

Carrabba's is an excellent restaurant. Their menu is solid, with varied items that are well prepared. They also have a great selection of wine and their bread is definitely worth coming back for. That said, this particular location is a stand out Carrabba's experience. It's a franchise location and the owner takes his business very seriously. We've been approached by him personally a handful of times and he actually remembered us after just one visit. He runs a tight ship, keeping the service and the food impeccable. Definitely check this place out if you like Italian food. Try the sirloin marsala and the calamari appetizers - both are very, very good!

I know...I said I like to try local places....and not "national chains". But have you been to a Carrabba's? I've been to them in the following states: Massachusetts, Ohio, North Carolina, California, Texas, and Florida. But being in Atlanta the past week plus, I decided to add Georgia to the list. Like all the others, this Carrabba's serves a very nice Italian menu. No wait at 7:30 pm. I started out with a Sam Adams Summer Ale.....note to beer drinkers. Don't order a beer here....they overcharge you for about 10 oz of beer. For the entree, I passed on my usual Chicken Bryan for the Pasta Carrabba. Many of the entrees have small/large sizes now, which is great cause Carrabba's doesn't skimp on the food, even if this one did on the beer. Pasta Carrabba doesn't have that option....so I had a plate the size of Georgia on the table. lol The meal was excellent (as usual) and I finished it off with the usual diet coke. I don't think the waitress was shocked when I didn't order another shot of beer. This would have been their usual 4 star rating, but the beer thing really annoyed me. Charging $5 for a 10 oz beer? What is this? Turner Field? Parking is free and plentiful in the garage which is close, there is some parking in and around it, but use the garage. Service was excellent. BTW, the 10 oz beer must be just this Carrabba's, cause elsewhere it's a 16/23 oz choice.

We have tried many things on the menu; we have finally set on two things: Chicken Marsala (The chicken breast is not breaded ,always juicy, and topped with the creamy Marsala wine mushroom sauce, it is rich and pack with flavor.) and Tag Pic Pac with grilled shrimp (fresh tomato is sauteed with lots of garlic in the EVOO, you can taste the freshness of the each ingredients) . Also, we LOVE the herb seasoning for the bread, the home made chicken noodle soup, and the Mediterranean salad. It is always a satisfying meal every time we come to carrabas. I would have given 5 stars but the service has not been always great. (but it has never been bad. )

I know, it's a chain, but it's good. I'd never been to one before and the people I was with wanted to eat there. The bread was good. The calamari was good and the seafood canneloni I had was good. Service was good and overall, everything was great. And if you sit outside on the patio, you can have a perfect view of the game from Taco Mac. :)

Went here on a thursday night, seated immediately. Ordered a burgandy sangria, wish I would have asked what fruit they used for it. If I would have know it was lemon and limes, I would have ordered the blackberry sangria instead. I ordered the pasta weesie (basically a shrimp fettuccini with sauteed mushrooms). Kid got the spaghetti and meatball, boyfriend got the lasagne dinner. Food was pretty good. I personally had to ask for a paper napkin because the cloth napkins they had smelled funny to me. I wasn't trying to smell funk while i'm eating.

I was skeptical...I scoffed...I really, really wanted to go someplace else. But, this is where we went. I am not too proud to admit it, I was wrong. My experience started out right. I was first and instead of sitting first or waiting in the lobby I decided to wait at the bar. There seemed to be some regulars, which I thought was a little funny for a restaurant. I know restaurants have bars in them, but it just didn't seem to fit this place. I started with the house wine which was a great choice for the money. It was smooth and the pours were very generous. Once my date arrived we were able to sit immediately at a table. 7:00 on a Thursday, I was a happy girl. The atmosphere as a whole leaves something to be desired, however the food and the waiter made up for it two fold. The waiter was funny and engaging and answered all of our questions with enthusiasm. He even suggested an off the menu item that he knew was a favorite. I opted for that dinner choice and it was honestly one of the best meals I've had there. It isn't even a pasta dish! It was tilapia with artichoke and a creamy sauce (not too much). I know it doesn't sound like much, but it was simple and light and just perfect. I wasn't really in the mood for a heavy pasta dish, so it hit the spot. It was served with fresh broccoli which was perfectly cooked, not to soft, not to crisp. The one negative to the whole meal was the minestrone soup, which was very mushy. I felt like I got the bottom of the barrel after it had been sitting on the stove all day. My date had the traditional pasta dish, which he ate with gusto, enjoying every moment of it. (this was his pick, as it is his favorite) The waiter also informed us that everything, with the exception of the stuffed shell dishes, is made on site. Including the pasta. I think the attention to detail and freshness is what made this meal way better than expected. I wish they could do something else with the atmosphere, but this experience will bring me back actually looking forward to dinner.

Amazing AMAZING customer service! The manager Juan was AWESOME.The food was really great, the wine was up to par, the atmosphere was great. It was a bit of a wait but i understand why, the staff was very attentive. It was mine & a friends first time dining there and our server Borna & Juan were amazing. I'm Definitely going back :)

As far as Italian chain restaurants go, Carrabba's is my favorite, hands down. I love their Chicken Marsala, Tagliarini Picchi Pacchiu w/ shrimp (so flavorful and garlic-y... mmmm!), their soups (especially the chicken soup) and seasoning/bread. Seriously, the Chicken Marsala and Tag Pic Pac = foodgasm. I've liked everything else I've tried, really only being disspointed in their alfredo... it just doesn't have intense enough of a flavor for me.

i LOVE Carrabbas bread and seasoning! I could go and eat just that... if they'd let me :) My bf and I went (for the bread) and ordered the Mediterranean house salad, zucchini frittes, and tagalini piachu pichu (sp?). - The salad was great. Not too overpowered by the feta cheese or onions. - Zucchini frittes were pretty good, I'd give them a 4. I kind of wanted to blot the excess oil off of them, but other than that the zucchini with the aioli sauce was great. - The tagalini pasta with chicken was my least favorite~ the tomato basil sauce was overpowered with garlic~ whew! talk about bad breath! they probably put 2-3 cloves of sliced garlic in the pasta and left the garlic sitting there. I ate 3 or 4 bites and couldn't handle it anymore. Overall, compared to other Italian chains, Carrabbas is better than Olive Garden and Macaroni Grill but not as good as Maggianos

This place was VERY average. Nothing special at all. My past was completely bland. The only good thing was the spices they put on a plate for you to dip your bread in. That was actually good. But nothing else, really...

As far as Italian "chain" restaurants, Carrabba's definitely ranks at the top of my list. I love their Shrimp Scampi appetizer so much that it is I have for my meal 50% of the time (along with a Stella, it couldn't get any better!). Their Chicken Marsala is awfully good and my favorite is the Pollo Rosa Maria. I have had 90% of everything on this menu and there has not yet been a meal I did not like. They have a Parmesan dressing you can have on their salads that is great. Service here has always been awfully good and it's a nice place to meet friends, have dinner and then you can hop next door to Taco Mac for a few drinks and music. I've lately had their crab cakes which I'd never seen on the menu. They are excellent with the red, spicy sauce (I'm having a brain fart and can't think of the name). And it's 2 crab cakes for only 10 bucks that are actually good! They ARE small, so they really equal one big one but still worth the price if you like crab cakes.

I've been here at least twice thus far and each time I must say the food had been rather fair. First time around I had the Seafood Pasta and second time was the Smoked Salmon -- each time with my brother. The quality and presentation was rather decent and the dessert was quite rich. Pretty good environment to dine. The vibe is nice. A pretty cool place to dine.

I used to totally make myself sick of Carrabba's when I worked nearby. I know it is a chain, but let me tell you, the chicken marsala here is hard to beat, even in the trendy or traditional Italian restaurants. I also really like the Chicken Bryan with goat cheese, sundried tomatoes, basil, and a lemon sauce. The fettucine alfredo will make your arteries instantly clog, but is quite delicious just the same. Ok, let me get back inside the perimeter now!

  • Kay H.

Okay so , where to begin I truly feel like Italian is not properly represented in Atlanta anymore. However everything here is good, just not where I want to melt though. I'm no fan of Maggianos either, but at least they got the portion down pact. Here I second the mezzaluna being good, but not 5 star. However the service was excel! The waiter was nice, very consistent with my ice tea refills and I asked for peas to be added to my pasta (because in my haste I thought I ordered one that had it) and they brought it out after mixing it in with more sauce heated up, thats great service! so food 3 star service 4 to 5 star if I knew how to do a 3.5 I would So verdict: I would go back and be fine ,but not in a huge rush If in the area, no problem pull up a seat! no horror story here (and gas is now up to 4 / so imagine!)

Good as usual. We've been Carrabba customers for several years now and they consistently offer a good meal at a reasonable price. We had the marsala steak and the Chicken Bryan - both were prepared perfectly. And of course, plenty of the delicious bread.

Dining with co-workers can be nice, especially if you don't see them all too often, and particularly if the company is picking up the tab. Since the boss was in town asking for recommendations for a team dinner, out came the iPhone with the handy-dandy Yelp app. In this tight economy with management eyes scrutinizing every expense, we chose to go conservative and have dinner at Carrabba's rather than a nicer, higher end joint which we all would have preferred. But better to fly under the radar, right? Carrabba's was a safe choice. We sat in the bar for drinks and ended up staying there for dinner since we had our own table already. As with other Italian chain restaurants, these guys start you off with fresh baked bread that you dip in olive oil with this fantastic herb blend. I love that stuff! For dinner, since I've always enjoyed their Marsala wine sauce I was tempted to go with the old standby Grilled Chicken Marsala. But I decided to venture out and be different, so I ordered one of their specials for that day, a braised pork roast with roasted potatoes, carrots and fennel. AND, it was topped with a shot of the Marsala gravy. Score! I think my blood pressure must have shot up a few multiples though -- the dish was so salty I almost couldn't eat it. But the meat was decently tender and the veggies were okay. A glass of water helped clear the Great Salt Lake from bite to bite. The rest of the food on the table looked nice -- I almost had food envy about a salmon dish with capers. But I got over it. But when the economy turns and things are looking up, screw the cheap eats -- we're going to Craft, baby! =)

Oh the horror! Sheer disappointment! This is not like the Carrabba's that I remember. OK, I have to admit, the last time I was at a Carrabba's, gas was $1.30 a gallon, and George Dubyah Bush was saying "mission accomplished;" but I digress. Everything was just plain wrong! The bread, olive oil and herbs weren't the same; waaay too much olive oil, and too little herbs. I had to resort to dipping my bread in the double portion of herbs we (my friend and I) had to order after the fact. My Chicken Parmesan was horrible. I don't think a dried, shriveled up piece of chicken constitutes a chicken. Not to mention, the quartino isn't a true quartino, its just a "bigger" glass of wine that holds 1-1/2 glass of wine. Not to mention, I don't think my Merlot was a true Merlot, at least the sugary sweat aftertaste lead me to believe. My waiter, poor guy, was just off. I ordered potatoes (instant potatoes I much mention), but when I got my plate, there was a pile full of pasta, double frown. Not to be a Debbie Downer, *insert bugle wah-wah's here*, I would prefer to eat again only if I was paid, in Euros of course.

Haven't been to Carrabba's in a while. It was refreshing to have Fred as our server who knew the details of each dish we asked about and made excellent recommendations. Our food was fresh, hot and tasty. We shared Tiramisu and it hit the spot as well.

AWESOME! I love Pasta Weesie and Mezzaluna! This is the best Italian food that you can get at a chain restaurant! So yummy! The location is great: easily accessible from 400 or 1-285. And there's great shopping and other restaurants nearby. When you go, because you know you should, try one of the dishes mentioned above. I know you'll love it.

"Everything you see I owe to spaghetti." Sophia Loren Carrabba's is a great option for decent Italian food. As far as the chains go, I would give it a slight edge over Olive Garden, but for the prices, Maggiano's will always be my first pick. The service at this Carrabba's is definitely better than the competitors in the area. Overall A-ok for lunch or dinner.

I go to the location in Dunwoody close to Perimeter Mall. I like a lot of their bar tenders like Mario, Christina, and Jeff. They are all super friendly and give great service. I have also met some managers, I think Ben and Randy. Both are so nice and very accommodating. Food is great especially if you are hungry. Everything is fresh made and they have an open kitchen. My favorites are the calamari, Caesar salad, chicken Bryan, sirloin Marsala and their shrimp and scallop dish. Enjoy!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
