It's a chain, but a mighty fine one. I've been here probably two dozen times, and this was the first time I didn't order Pollo Rosa Maria. The pizza I had was outstanding. Loved it. One star off because I'm not willing to give a big chain 5 stars.

Love this place! Our server was the best. Tatiana kept us laughing the whole night! We threw a surprise birthday dinner and stay 40 mins after closing time. No complains or anything! The food was amazing! I had the pork chops. Highly recommended!

We normally go to the Carrabas at Town Center but we were closer to the Cumberland location today. It was terrible, we were seated at a dirty table that hadn't been cleared. The olive oil on the table had gone rancid and was terribly bitter. The plates we were served on we so tiny and the portion was pathetic, they served our entree on dessert plates, our cedar salad was rusty and wilted and there were only two puny croutons. The manager Katie P. had a condescending attitude and was unwilling to make the experience better. This was my mother's day dinner and I wish we would have gone to our normal Town Center Carrabas, I know we would have gotten better food and better treatment. We will NEVER go to the Cumberland Carrabas ever again and will stear everyone we know away from this location!

Despite a dip shitty waitress who could never get the right plate or dirink to the correct person in our party of four, the food here is always good, hot and prompt. The decor, classic chain homey. Solid, but not a destination restaurant. In a mood ofr simple/classic, I had spaghetti and meatballs. A massive portion, slighlty el dente which I like. The sauce was not acidic, another plus.

What can I say? It's Carrabbas. Its always packed on weekends, food is usually tasty, prices are good. Service can be bad though if its as crowded as it is when we are there.

I don't typically bother to review chains because, well, they are chains, but I did want to say a couple of things about this location. The regular sangria is pretty tasty. It's pricey, but I beleive there is a day when you can get a pitcher for half price. Wednesdays maybe? The bread with the olive oil and spices is divine. I could eat that and drink sangria and leave happy. The rest of the food is prettty typical. Nothing outstanding. The atmosphere is a step above an Olive Garden. A little nicer. Staff is always friendly.

The food is delicious! The price is right. When I'm in Atlanta I like to go to Carrabba's with friends and family to enjoy the delicious dishes. I'm always satisfied with my meals. I've had the fried calamari with marinara sauce and lemon butter sauce, the seasonal minestrone soup, the caesar salad with shrimp, the fettuccine alfredo with grilled chicken, the manicotti, and the chocolate fudge brownie "dream" for dessert. EVERYTHING IS DELISH. I've eaten there for years. I'll keep going back every time I'm in Atlanta.

Dont think it's that bad for a chain, i enjoyed the food even though it was all a little bit too salty.

We arrived...my wife and two small kids. We waited 15 minutes and I had to go get the server. No hello, no water , no nothing. The manager stopped by, and brought us fried zucchini to apologize for the wait (which we didn't order), then charged us for it. The Caesar salad was decent however wet....the fish sucked. The service was weird....straight up bizzare... My 5 year old daughter told me she hates this restaurant. Weird bizarre and outright strange. I say pass it....I would give it no stars if I could.

The only reason this Carrabba's gets 4 stars is because the waiting staff can be a little tricky. Sometimes my hubby and I can get a fantastic waiter or waitress, but sometimes, it doesn't look so good. Other than that, we LOVE the food and the environment. We just went to this location, which is our FAV, for our 6th wedding anniversary, so you can imagine the excitement for the food. We always order the Rosa Marie, Chicken Parm, and the Italian Classic. All of which are our FAVS!! The prices are reasonable and we always leave with leftovers! Try it out and let me know how you liked it.!!

SKIP THIS PLACE!!! no one greeted us and at least 6 people saw us. so we left. I couldn't imagine the wait for food if we actually stayed and ate.

So good. Atmosphere is very cozy and comfortable. I ordered the chicken linguine and it really left a favorable impression on me! It'll be hard for other Italian places to match up, that's for sure. Our server was quick on his toes and the wait wasn't long at all. There's just something special about this place even if it IS a chain. Overall I would say come here for some dependable Italian fare.

Did take out with Carrabba's located near my job. I ordered calamari, fried zuchini, Parmesan Chicken and Caeser Salad. The Calamari was absolutely delicious and cooked just right. Same with the fried zuchini which if you top with a little lemon juice they seem to just melt right into your mouth. My Caeser Salad was nice and crisp with fresh green lettuce fresh parmesan cheese and croutons. The parmesan chicken was tender and cook well done. Just a fusion of flavors. This was my first Carrabbas visit and surely wont be my last. Staff for curbside service was very friendly and thorough. Made sure that I had everything that I needed before I left.

Gluten Free Go Here! I was recently diagnosed with gluten intolerance and eating out has become a nightmare. When I informed Beth, our waitress, she assured me I would be able to have more than a crouton-free salad. I was thrilled since I am usually met with mild irritation at this point. Sean, the manager, then came out and advised me of my options, even offering to pan sear the chicken so it wouldn't be on the grill. Wonderful seasoning, wonderful options for food! I didn't feel like I was being left out or an inconvenience. The other 5 people in our party enjoyed the food and service as much as I did. This Cumberland location was fantastic!

I know. I know. This place gets 5 stars. This is the first location I ever been to and it's really in a secret location. I love the food! The quick service, never a wait! Portions is grand. Nice and cozy atmosphere. 5 stars across the board Overall grade: A+

Carrabbas, Maggianos, and Olive Garden are all pretty much in the same category of food for me: Chain Italian Restaurants. Unfortunately Carrabbas is ranked third in my books. We went here for a work lunch and the first thing I thought was "where is everyone?" (the restaurant was empty). The second thing I thought was "this bread isn't as good as the breadsticks and salad at Olive Garden". and Finally, when I got my food, I thought "This just isn't that good". This location is pretty hidden and to be honest, I can't see this place surviving much longer, especially considering Olive Garden and Maggianos are very much closeby.

I haven't been to this location ever or Carrabba's for quite some time, but I remember the few times I had been before that the food was fantastic. I had the seafood cannelloni. It was pitiful. The side salad was served on a plate the size of a bread plate. Then the entree was served in a baking dish set on a large plate. No other sides. Terrible presentation. I wouldn't say it tasted terrible, but I would definitely not order it again. Not worth the $16. The rest of our party didn't really say anything about their food. Perhaps because they didn't have anything nice to say. My experience with eating with friends is they will speak up when they love something.

Okay- I'm trying to leave a review for the Carrabbas in Dunwoody near Perimeter Mall but I can't seem to find it on Yelp. But I guess the food is the same everywhere so- My husband and I are becoming connoisseurs of take out as we are living in a hotel for two weeks until we close on our house- So one of the better meals we've had lately came from Carrabbas. I had the Pasta Sostanza (tagliarini with mushrooms, artichokes, spinach, red sauce with shrimp) and he had the Pasta Carrabba (fettucine alfreado with chicken mushrooms and peas). Both were super yummy! The shrimps in my pasta were a good size and cooked well but I could have used more of them. His dish sounded simple but it was so tasty! The fettucine didn't even seem heavy or greasy. The pasta seemed fresh. Even after picking it up, bringing it back to our room and it sitting around for a few minutes- it was still good. So it must be even better sitting down in the restaurant. As usual for Italian restaurants the food was accompanied by bread, olive oil and "italian" salads. All pretty good and standard. Other than Brio this is my 2nd favorite Italian chain. Not that I ever or usually do but I'll never go to Olive Garden again!

Spoiler Alert: I hate chain restaurants. Yes, I knew what I was probably getting into, but I had never been to a Carrabbas before and was feeling, er, saucy...so I gave it a shot. Oh well. Alas, this place is no better than any of the other faux Italian food chains littering America these days; although I found it somewhat more amusing than, say, Olive Garden, which makes me want to shove hot needles into my eyes with its made up Italian words and gummy pastas filled with mushy mystery meat-flavored pablum all swimming in gallons of fatty, flaccid sauces. Nothing I ate at Carrabbas was good; nor was anything I ate bad enough to be interesting. Everything I ate was utterly, impossibly bland---yet surprisingly buttery. I don't generally associate butter with Italian food. I associate butter with Waffle House and the movie "Last Tango in Paris." My meal started out with the cliched table-side olive oil and herb mixing floor show. The bread was underbaked, like those Mrs. Fields cookies that are more like fudge than cookies. The olive oil itself had almost no personality at all except that it was surprisingly buttery. The waitress was pleasant and described two specials, tilapia (why isn't this fish extinct yet?) and tuna both which came in a lemon butter sauce. Tuna, in a lemon butter sauce? Really? I ordered the trout, which was available in--wait for it--a lemon butter sauce. Even the waitress laughed at the absurdity. I asked for it to be grilled with no lemon butter sauce. I ordered a Caesar salad, which I asked to have lightly dressed, because otherwise I know I would get Caesar dressing soup with croutons and a garnish of romaine. It came lightly dressed, with shreds of shockingly bland Parmesan (it wasn't even salty) and croutons. The dressing, unlike everything else so far, actually did have personality--it was bitter and oily. The romaine leaves were so pale, the salad seemed almost invisible, to the eyes and the tongue. The croutons were crunchy and surprisingly buttery. My entree arrived. The trout was not grilled, but was rather breaded in a hazelnut "crust" and covered in a lemon butter sauce. Apparently no one has ever ordered it grilled, so they sold the grill in a yard sale and spent the proceeds on more saute pans. And butter. Let's talk about crust for a moment. Just because something has what looks like grill marks on it, doesn't mean it's done. (Honestly, I think they spray-paint those grill marks on anyway.) The hazelnut "crust" was (shockingly) bland, wet, and tasted like just-applied Spackle. The skin of the fish, which is usually my favorite part, had clearly never seen heat, and had the texture of wet toilet paper. Yum. Then there was a scenic pool of lemon butter reflecting my face back at me from the top of the fish. This was accompanied by fresh spinach sauteed in lots of something that glistened like oil but was surprisingly buttery. In fact everything that passed by my table glistened with a muted, oily sparkle in the soft light. It was kind of pretty and reminded me of being really drunk on Christmas Day. I could feel my arteries hardening from the contact butter high, so I knew it was time to go. I asked for the check after finishing about four bites of the fish and one bite of spinach. The waitress didn't even asked why. She seemed like a smart girl, so she probably didn't need to. I doubt I'll ever go back to Butterabas Butter Bucket again, but considering how many people were waiting for a table, I doubt they will miss me.

A friend and I met for an early movie and having become a little hungry after we decided to eat. There's a lot to choose from in the Cumberland area but I let her pick and we ended up at Carrabbas. I've eaten at a few Carrabbas and this one, for me, stands out as the best. I ordered my usual - Veal Picatta, fettuccini and minestrone with a glass of Coppola Claret. Donna ordered Tilapia, spinach and lentil soup. The food was great - as expected. The veal was cooked to its perfect tenderness with just the right lemon caper sauce; the soup (add parm), a light savory delight; and the fettuccini equally satisfying. Donna was happy with her food as well and, from all appearances, it looked as amazing as mine tasted. Then why two stars you say? Well isn't dining a total experience: atmosphere, food and (of course) service? The service we experienced from being seated ranged from neglectful to frustrating to fed up. Our server "Scooter"* did many things, but serve wasn't one of them. He wisked back and forth, passing our table like a wind tunnel on speed - joking, laughing and nursing neighboring tables like a suckling mother....while we were left to pour our own oil, send back a wrong order with another waiter, hunt down water, remind him of my to-go order and return a wrong check he placed on our table like a drive-by. Toward completion of this rollercoaster ride, I sat there contemplating the age old question, "How much should I leave?" I am very sensitive about this, as my girls had been servers in the past and I'm in sales. I always...always...compensate servers well; yet feel it should be earned and not expected. In mid-thought - once again and finally - "Scooter" plopped the to-go bag next to me, bid us good night and was off like the Tazmanian devil. My to-go order was wrong. I then asked a busser to see the manager. "Dave" appeared instantly and out of nowhere. We explained our service from hello to goodbye and, with what appeared to be genuine empathy and concern, he apologized....HE fixed my order...HE comped and packed a dessert and HE told us to ask for him personally if and/or when we return. Nice save Dave....very nice.....yet completely unnecessary had "Scooter" just done.....what?.....his job. *Real name omitted - as this review was not intended to hurt, but to be constructive information for better service in the future . "Dave", however, really is the manager.

A lot of people like to bash chain restaurants. There is a reasons why chains are popular, they provide quality, consistency, and good food (those that do it right). We tried a lot of Italian restaurants and this one ranks up there. Every time we've eaten at this Carabbas we've always had great service, delicious food, and priced right. I had the manicotti, nice portion size and just right. Step in for some delicious quality at a great price.

My wife and I have had a custom of going to Carrabba's for each others' birthdays for close to ten years. She loves the chicken marsala and I always get the grilled salmon. They were consistently excellent until 3 to 4 years ago when they seemed to be coping with the recession by progressively raising prices and reducing portion sizes. At our meal this past Tuesday, for example, my Ceasar salad was served on a saucer sized plate. The salmon portion was maybe 3 oz. and this was the "regular" size entree, not the petite. The small portion would have to be ridiculous. My wife enjoyed her marsala as usual but I think we will start a new birthday tradition as I don't find that Carrabba's delivers the value that it formerly did.

Dont get me wrong, the food is awesome here but I really go to gawk at the sexi male waiters. There is one in particular who is as sexi as sexi can be! Hot damn thats one good looking man! However, if you're one of those people who actually go to a restaurant to eat, here are my tips: 1. any of the chicken dishes are awesome (esp the Chicken Bryan) 2. The sangria is wonderful 3. the calamari is to die for 4. the male waiters are HOTT!!! 5. The bread is warm, yummy, and a perfect start to the meal. PS. if anyone knows the sexy waiter they call "Mr. Carrabbas" tell him to I said 'hi' *wink*wink*

Let me start out by saying I try not to be mean I try to objectively see all sides but unfortunately this is all I have to give on this place. I love Carrabbas but I will NEVER EVER go to this one again. Went here with 2 girlfriends last night and of course I was late to the party. As soon as I sat down the waiter comes up and I think he said oh finally everyone is here... (um okay) but we couldn't understand him! He brings our drinks and takes our orders and everything was meh we decided to play a game guess what the waiter is saying. We didn't get our bread until we were in the middle of our salads. All the while we never saw our waiter which was okay with us because he was creeping us out and we could not understand him at all. It was almost like he just got his tongue pierced and decided to come in to work. Drink refills took forever and all in all it was just a blah experience. I would have given them 2 maybe three stars if it wasn't for what happened next. The waiter split our bill for us which we appreciated. We each took our receipt and wrapped it over our credit cards so he would not get confused as to who is paying for what. He comes back with the credit cards and I realize mine is not there. So when I go to find him he tells me I gave it to you! UM NO YOU DIDN'T! By this point I am furious because it is apparent he has lost my credit card. The manager knows what is going on and all the while the manager did not once come up to me to apologize or anything. The bartender ended up finding my card turns out our stupid waiter left my card in one of the books at the computer stand. Any other waiter could have picked it up and handed it to a customer with out even noticing it. I have never given $0 for a tip but last night I did. However, the tip I would really like to leave the waiter is get a new job!

Yeah...umm no. Just left this place like...30 minutes ago. Still have a bad taste in my mouth. We ordered sangrias. That was decent. The antipasto was okay. I've had better. The salad was disappointing. It was drenched in dressing. The pizza we ordered was the most disappointing thing. It was thin but not crispy. It was ...soggy? We ate barely half of it. We seriously considered going across the street to Chuck E Cheese to get a slice. Will not be going back.

Very good lunch. It's been a while since I've been to Carrabba's and by the meal we had, too long. A couple years ago, this restaurant was dark with bad service. After a remodel, it's much more open and the service was great. The other thing they've done is cut down on their lunch portions. Now you get a reasonably sized meal for a good price and you don't get bloated. Had the Chicken Bryan - always one of my favorites and it didn't disappoint.

The commercial got to me- Had the champagne shrimp and scallop pasta and both of the desserts. The pasta dish was lucious, lots of shrimp, scallops and lump crab meat, sauce was light and creamy, pasta just right. Now for the good part, the two mini desserts were on point!. I will be making them at home. Q, our server was decent, tried to multitask, "tried" being the operative word- we had our salads before the bread, long before the bread-lol, but he was nice.

One well oiled machine. From the time I walked in to my exit I felt they gave me full attention. Sat at the pasta bar and one of the chefs cooked me up some Calamari and said on the house. Wow, now thats nice. Had a great meal, cooked to perfection. I will not bypass this Carrabbas anytime soon. JP

my buddy from Louisiana showed me this place when we were in ATL. I love italian food and it sucks that there are none of these restaraunts in California. SMH. But whenever i'm in the South or the Eastcoast, i will be looking for a local carrabba's!

Pretty good. Very wide variety on the menu. Excellent customer service. I guess I just had very high expectations since I heard such great things about it. Did it live up to the rave reviews, no. But was it still good, yes. I personally prefer The Macaroni Grill over Carrabbas.

DON'T JUDGE! I am coming to you in shame. But coming to you just the same. I don't review chains, but......it was good! I was taken here, and was trying not to be a jerk, and tell them I don't DO chains, but I love love love the Lentil soup! And since it's getting COLD, and many of us are on a strict budget......this is a very good option! My entree was some Italian dish with potato gnocchi and it was good! I say try it!

My wife and I recently had our first date night alone since having our baby girl 6 months ago and we decided to go to Carrabba's. For those of you who have not yet been there, I highly recommend that you do so ASAP! I can't say for certain, but I am almost sure that the fettuccini is made fresh daily, YES, it is that good! In fact, it was so good that we went the next night to get take-out. But we're not telling everyone that, we don't want anyone to think that we're gluttons!

I've gone to the Cumberland Carabba's location several times (10 -12), as I used to live a mile from there. I always thought the food was mediocre, but palatable; decent for the price range. The service has always been lacking. The last time I was there the waiter came up to my table and said "hey...I'm not supposed to be working today...I got called in...I was taking a nap and they woke me up...what do want to drink?" Obviously, this was less than professional - I don't need to know that he doesn't want to be at work. We ordered drinks and water while we looked over the menu for dinner. He came back with the waters and started to set mine down in front of me when he lost it and it spilled all over my lap. And not just a little, but the entire glass. Well, I started to leave, but I was still hungry! He didn't even apologize, just shrugged like it was 'one of those things'. There was no offer of a discount or free appetizer or anything (and no, I didn't ask for the manager). I'm not one to make a fuss, I vote with my money and have not been back since then (and it's been over two years). I wasn't looking for anything free and I do believe in paying for what I order, but a gesture of a free appetizer or a little off the bill would have at least made me think that I'm important as a customer. Or, even if the manager had come over to apologize, I would have been perfectly happy. Obviously, I'm not important to them and I know that by not going back, I'm not going to drive them out of business (they can afford to lose one customer). But, I'll never step foot inside a Carabba's again. And, I've told all my friends and now posted my experience here. I would have posted it when it happened, but I'm new to Yelp! (and catching up). UPDATE: It's been 13 months since I posted that review and I have not been back to a Carabba's and still intend to never set foot inside one again!

Typically chain restaurant... I had the chick linguine (sp) and it was a nice portion size, the shrimp were small and it only had about 4-5. The dish was good, but it was expected. Service was good, but nothing authentic and I don't think I would have a reason to crave to go back. Bottom line, this place is a bar above Olive Garden, but it's not anything great. Lunch is about 10 bucks a dish.

First the bad news... This place seems to have a long wait to get seated. We were told 15 to 20 minutes at the host stand, where we received a handy pager. 40 minutes later they told us they "hadn't" forgotten about us. Since we were traveling with kids and unfamiliar with the area, we had to wait it out. Now, the good news.. Once we got seated.. they brought out piping hot bread and poured out some olive oil into a melange of roasted garlic and other spices.. The menu featured plenty of signature dishes rarely seen in other chain restaurants. The entree portions are huge, and can be used as a 2nd meal the next day. The kids meal pizza is nearly 9 inches and clearly was a fan favorite.

I'm a huge fan of Carrabbas, even though it's a chain! My favorites are the Chicken Bryan (with fontina cheese, sundried tomatoes/basil on top), with a side of Spaghetti Pomodoro and the Tagliarini Pik Pacchiu. I've been to three locations ---always crowded-especially on Friday nights--and the food is always excellent.

The first time I had Carrabbas was at the Taste of Reston in VA. I had the Spiedino di Mare and ever since then, that is all that I have ordered at the Reston location and the Atlanta location. Since Carrabbas is so out of the way from Chicago, I might have to make my own Spiedino di Mare with a recipe I found online. recipezaar.com/92692 I also found a separate recipe for the lemon butter sauce: * 1/4 cup white sugar * 1 tablespoon cornstarch * 1/4 teaspoon grated lemon zest * 1/2 cup water * 1 tablespoon lemon juice * 2 teaspoons butter 1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, cornstarch, and lemon zest. Stir in water and lemon juice, and continue stirring. After the mixture thickens and bubbles, continue to heat and stir for another two minutes. 2. Remove the sauce from the heat and stir in the butter. Serve warm.

My potatoes were cold and the waiter short changed me. Dudebro your service was not worthy of an 8 dollar tip on a 13 dollar bill. I even made it so I'd get a 10 back and he could keep the tip they SUGGEST on the receipt.

Carrabbas Italian Carrabbas is one of my favorite Italian restaurants. Whenever I go the service is wonderful and there is no wait time. Of all the places I've experienced, Carrabbas is one of the only restaurants with spacious booths. The booths are so big they can accommodate six people comfortably. Carrabbas extensive menu offers something for everyone from the appetizers, pizza, pastas, seafood and salads to the wood fire grilled chicken, meats, drinks and desserts. Everything is always well seasoned and tastes fresh. I particularly look forward to the warm sliced bread dipped in an herb mix of oils and spices. While I wholeheartedly recommend the salmon, garlic mashed potatoes, chicken parmesan, chicken caesar salad and Appletini, I could probably cosign on every other menu item because the food is so good. Keep in mind that drinks like the Appletini tend to be strong so make sure you're not the designated driver. For more information please visit carrabbas.com . There are 7 locations in Atlanta and take out is available. It's also worth mentioning that Carrabbas offers gluten free and nutritional menu items. Happy Eating!

I have been to Carrabbas near the Cumberland Mall on two occasions. On both occasions, the food and service were very good and the prices were reasonable. I had been seated and waited on quickly and the wait service was fast and efficient. The food was very good, provided in large portions and was as would be expected from a good Italian restaurant. However, it should be noted, I have come to appreciate the impact of service on a restaurant experience... service is as important as food quality... and Carraba's actually provided service on par with higher end restaurants.

This is not a place I would take friends. The service was good but the food was lacking. It made me sick for about 3 hours after I left. I emailed the company to let them know what happened and never got a response to my emails. I guess it's okay to puke for 3 hours after you eat there. I normally do not give bad reviews but this is one that I couldn't find a lot of good to talk about. Again, the service was good, the food was not... prices were high for what it was. Would rather go to Ippolitio's

Love it ,Love it, Love it!! I always order the Pasta Carraba. Its made with linguini noodles, grilled white chicken breast, frozen peas, mushrooms, and a creamy alfredo sauce. Then I like to top it off with fresh grated parmesian cheese. Its the best. The warm bread is also great that they serve before your entree comes out. And the best part is...they are affordable. The atomosphere is great for a date or family outing. One of the best Italian Grill spots I've been to.

Talk about Italian food perfection! Not only was the wait staff incredibly attractive to look at (their dress code is fantastic and they are all very well groomed) They are efficient and never let my glass get empty. They were fast with their satisfaction check and They sang 'Happy Birthday' to my grandmother in Italian! I would say the shrimp scampi was my favorite. Incredible place. I had some dessert coffee with curled chocolate on top of it...it was delicious. Absolutely fantastic. If ever in Atlanta this is one of the places you don't want to miss!

Went here for the first time a few weeks ago with our "best couple friends" K and Will and I loved it. The Olive Garden cannot compare to this place and Maggianos. If Maggianos is to crowded, across the way I will head to Carrabas. We were seated right away and they give huge portions which allows leftovers for the next day. We had a really awesome waiter who didn't charge us for all the wine and drinks we ordered. The crowd was nice mostly seniors this night and a few young couples sprinkled around the room. Our food came quickly and was hot (100 points!). The menu is so huge it was hard to choose! Come here ready to eat and you'll be happy when you leave. I will be back to try the ravioli and the margarita pizza.

I fought going to Carrabbas for a awhile because a friend of mine told me she had a bad experience. This is proof that you should always see for yourself and just take other people's advice as input. I went to Carrabbas and it was the bomb! I love it and wish there was one downtown. I don't know where to begin everything is so so good. I even attended an office party catered by Carrabas and I thought I was in Italian food heaven. All of the pasta dishes and appetizers will knock you off of your feet. Go with a big appetite because the portions are plentiful.

Went here for lunch again with co-workers... this time for someone elses birthday (do we sense a pattern here?) While I'm still giving them their 4 stars, I am still not counting off for their service (maybe I should, since this is the 2nd time it's been mediocre to say the least?) Everyone's order was correct, but there was just something that wasn't there. I had told our waiter about the birthday in our group, when he was near my side of the table as to not warn her what I was doing. He then proceded to say loudly "Oh, she must be about 19 or so, huh?"... Seriously? STFU dude! Then he asked the birthday girl herself if she was allergic to chocolate!!! By this point, I'm less than amused, but figured that the singing of Happy Birthday in Italian (which I've seen at this location many times before) would totally be worth it. So what does Mr. Wonderful waiter do? Bring out the cake, which he states is only "half of the normal piece", places it in front of the birthday girl and walks away. Um.. are you forgetting to sing??? I looked at my co-worker and we both just shook our heads and broke out into Happy Birthday. Okay, yeah, I'm taking one star off for thier non-singing, oblivious waiter.

Definitely one of my favorite Italian restaurants. The lentil-sausage soup is one of my favorite dishes of any restaurant. I have yet to have a bad dish. The service is spot-on 90% of time with just one instance of a slow, ill mannered waiter. The bread is always warm and the place is clean and quiet. Parking lot is a bit oddly arranged and cramped.

Lawd where do I start. I KNEW I didnt want to go here. I should have dropped kicked my cousin who suggested it out of pure selfishness. She talks out of state family into going here because she thought they had crabs didnt care what anyone else wanted. The children in our party had dried out spaghetti and meatball that right one meatball that they couldn't eat because it was made of pork. They rest of the group had soupy Alfredo salmon with dried out noodles and veggies. The waiter was slow and kept getting the drinks wrong he was either new or his mind was elsewhere. Had to laugh as the manager suggested (not ask ed) did we enjoy our food I was so happy my cousin suffered and didn't get what she wanted (the crabs) was a limited special so they didn't have it. I was also glad I didn't have to pay for what I would call slop. That's right she suggested it now you pay for it.

Drew and I have been attempting to go to Carrabas's together. We both had frequented this spot with our collegues/co-workers but never together. Although we had to wait for our requested booth, we were greeted by Sade our server. As an appetizer, we ordered calamari and as well as our dinner items. Drew ordered the Fettucine Carraba and I had the Shrimp and Scallop Spiedino. The calamari arrived timely although it was not a great calamari, We had to wait about 20 minutes for our salads although finished our appetizer. The Cesar salads were o.k. Just o.k. Finally, our entrees arrived, Drew did not comment on his pasta but ate all of it which led me to believe he enjoyed it. My scallop and shrimp with mashed potatoes were cooked to perfection. I ate it all because I did not want to have any leftovers. We skipped dessert because nothing on the menu sounded or looked good. It was good dinner at a franchise restaurant with good service.

Crappy chain Italian restaurant. Poor service. Though she said many polite things, it took forever to order wine or get a refill on water. Bread was not good and served cold with olive oil and herbs that had so much salt in it you could taste nothing else. I got a shrimp and scallop salad, about $16, small portion with 4 small scallops and 4 medium size shrimp. Again, so salty and covered with grill char I could taste nothing else. Almost all romaine with three leaves of other greens though it was supposed to be mixed greens. I got a glass of zin for $8.50 and the bottle had clearly been open for awhile. I guess they don't sell it often or bother to rotate the bottle after a few weeks! My mom ordered a side of asparagus for about $5 and got 5 spears. Chicken Marsala portions for my dad and brother were small and overpriced too. Also, two managers stopped by to check in but instead of asking how everything was and allowing our feedback, they fed us dumb corporate lines like "I'm so glad to see everything was superbly delicious for you today". I ate my food, but that doesn't mean it was superb! They did give my brother a scoop of ice cream for his birthday, which was a nice gesture, but didn't make up for the overall dull and sterile experience.

Food and service is still great. I didn't like how my server was very skimpy with the bread dip though ... Atmosphere is still pretty good ... But this location just wasn't doing it for me.

Likely one of my better dining experiences at a chain. My girlfriend convinced me to go and we happen to be visiting on the day they offered wine flights. The price was ridiculously reasonable. I think it was something like $10 or $15 for 5 pours. And we happen to sell one of the wines at my store so it was a nice surprise to try it. The portions were huge. We over did it. But everything was tasty. We ordered calamari, some kind of melted goat cheese dip, caprese salad, veal Marsala and a seafood pasta dish. Oddly enough, the veal Marsala was actually better here than Alfredo's. My seafood pasta was so so but I was not expecting the moon and stars so to get a star was totally fine.

Came here for lunch with a coworker and got the soup/salad combo. It was about 8$. Word of warning--the salad that comes with this will pretty much just be lettuce and dressing and the soup is a small cup. I added chicken to the salad so it was a lot more substantial than it would have been without. The soup of the day was lentil sausage, and it was very good. Service was attentive and we got in and out of the restaurant in good time. Good workweek lunch choice.

Great lunch place! We had an hour for lunch on a recent business trip and Carraba's filled the bill! We ordered the half salad, half sandwich combos and all four of us loved our meals. I had the steak with a side salad! Excellent! My husband ordered the meatball sandwich with soup and really loved his meal!

O.K. Good, nothing exceptional. Service was a bit slack;I needed to search for my waitress twice, which made me "cut" her tip - which I normally do 20% +,but for what I received,I was sorry to have to leave just 11%. That's the way it is/goes.

Their steaks are damn good...chain restaurant or not. Don't get anything else. The steak paninis are excellent too. The grill guy must have the magic touch. Service is hit or miss though for both takeout and dine in hence the 4 stars. So if u r not in a rush and just want a good steak...yum yum. And this goes for the Cumberland location only. I can't say for others. I'm from Tampa where Outback and Carrabbas originated, and no one can beat this grill guy. Heaven forbid I go on his day off... My preggo butt will not be happy. :-/

Go on a Monday - they do some Amore Mondays meal: 3 courses for $12/$15/$18 depending on your main course. For $15 I got: sausage ricotta flatbread + shrimp and scallop linguine in tomato cream sauce + cup of sausge lentil soup. For $18 my dining partner got: fried calamari + breaded shrimp and scallops with a side of corkscrew pasta + cup of minestrone soup. Btw - those appetizers (flatbread and calamari) were FULL SIZED portions. Wow. It was a lot of food. We also ordered a carafe? (it was the middle sized option, not the glass, not the bottle) and it was just enough for 1 glass for each of us. Really good deal. More than enough food. Totally worth checking out on a Monday. Friendly staff.. Food is more like 3.5 stars but if I went another day I'm not sure I'd round up. But I would definitely go back (and plan to on my next b-trip)

I came in with a pretty bad mood from a long day. The server took my order and was courteous. After that though, the waitress went over and beyond to compensate for not having a menu item available (I came in after 10 PM on a Saturday). The Bryan chicken pizza was great, the tiramisu was great, and I'd just like to commend Becca for her great work. I wish I dealt with service like this at more restaurants.

I love Carrabba's already as I have been going to the chain for years. They have the best calamari. This location however was one of my best experiences. The service was awesome and the food was delicious as always. I will be back.
Just like Daniel B. wrote in his review, this is like a nicer Olive Garden. The food tastes better to me. The ambience looks dark and romantic. It feels more upscale than Olive Garden. I've been here many times for lunch. They have decent dishes. The portions and small and prices seem high for what you get. If you want pasta for lunch in the Vinings area, Carrabba's seems like one of your better options. The other places like Figo and Olive Garden just taste horrible. The last time I came here for lunch, I ordered the lasagne. The lasagne tasted okay. It didn't have any WOW factor to it. It was just a standard lasagna. I did feel parts of the pasta felt under-cooked. They bring out boring bread with some olive oil and spices dipping sauce. I wasn't a fan of their free bread. Oh well. The servers are attentive and friendly. They obviously have a lot of business people coming for lunch because they can split big checks no-problem. Overall, I think this is an A-OK Italian place. I give it 3.5 stars.

I felt a bit awkward having my ninth month old a bit upset during our dinner but the crowd was very casual and talked our son through our meal and as far as the food wa! Soup of the day was spicey and excellent! I chose the new vodka sauced pasta(mine's better) and the husband had carabaos fettuccine which was hot and served quickly topped with fresh cheese grated in front of you to your liking.. I'd do this Italian place again.

My family has been coming here for years (I think I was 6 or 7 the first time...) and I've probably dined at this restaurant more times in my lifetime than any other place--I wouldn't be surprised if the number was literally in the hundreds. I've since moved away to college, but a visit to my parents in Atlanta always involves an obligatory meal at Carrabbas. This place has come a long way in the past 15 years... SETTING: Fairly standard for your Italian restaurant--dark woody tones, random fixtures covered in vines and Italianesque decor items. A few years ago the chain got a face lift and became more modern with the feel of this particular dining room becoming a little bit more open. It seems fancy at first glance, and maybe it actually is fancy, but in my mind I've never had any qualms about strolling in for dinner in shorts and a t-shirt. SERVICE: Always pleasant. I don't remember in all our visits ever having an issue with the service so dire it required bringing it to the attention of the manager. I mean, over the course of over a decade and dozens of visits you're bound to encounter a dud or two, and I probably wouldn't have held it against them. As a kid they brought me a ball of pizza dough to play with, which can make a kid's night. I don't know if that's still a thing though. Sitting at the kitchen counter can be fun; you can watch the guys cook, if you're lucky you'll get some free samples. FOOD: The bread, with the spices and herbs they mix with the olive oil, is awesome. My otherwise gluten-conscious father's affinity for it is probably the sole reason this restaurant was a staple of my childhood. Back in the day, I got the cheese pizza off the kid's menu with a pink Hi-C to drink. The Hi-C was very important, none of the other restaurants that my parents ever took me to had it. Around the age of 10, I graduated to the rigatoni with marinara. That phase didn't last long; I got food poisoning the third time I ordered it and consequently had an aversion to any of their red sauce offerings for a time after that. Naturally, Fettuccine Carrabba was my go to after the incident. One night, we sat at the kitchen bar however and they gave us a sample of Mezzaluna. I was converted. I ordered it that night and for many nights afterwards, marking the beginning of my slow transition back to the red sauces. I later had the Lasagne a few times, but it was a bit much for me. The Manicotti, however, found its way into my rotation. You might be wondering why I only ranked three stars for a place that seems to have invoked such nostalgia... well it's never my choice to go there, I'm always the one dragged there. I ended up going less in high school, and obviously even less so when I went away to college, as my preferences in where our family would eat became a bit more incorporated. Somewhere in that timeframe was when they totally revamped their menu and look, and it was definitely for the better. Their menu has expanded greatly, with a number of those "healthy" (under 600 calories) options that are actually quite pleasing. The shrimp risotto, lobster ravioli, or tomatoes caprese are all pretty good. I'm still a bit of a sucker for their calamari, which to be clear is not under 600 calories. As I was walking to the restrooms this evening at Carrabba's I reflected on whether I would rank them 3 or 4 stars. I told myself if they still had the Italian language lessons playing in the bathrooms, I would give them 4 stars. When I walked in there was a John Mayer song playing, no Italian lessons. And thus three stars.

Service here is awesome. Darren at the bar is a whirling dervish and can multi task like a master. Perfect guy to run the bar. Good selection on on tap beer for a small bar.

Stopped by this Carrabba's for a weekday lunch with some friends. Expect to spend about $12+ per person for lunch at this American Italian chain. The lunch menu is pretty straightforward and contains over 20 entree selections, which is a little over half of the dinner items. They include soups, salads, pizzas, sandwiches, pastas, and grilled foods. Carrabba's is like the Olive Garden, but nicer. They've got an open kitchen with wood-fired grill, full-size bar, and plenty of table and booth seating. The Carrabba's restaurants are spacious and designed to handle many people, so it's an ideal venue for group dining. Interior is nice and clean. Every meal starts off with a loaf of Italian bread and olive oil with seasonings. Blocks of Parmesan cheese are grated at the table when entrees arrive. The fried Calamari is a popular appetizer ($6 single serving, $8 regular) and isn't bad. It comes with a small serving of marinara sauce. The Chicken Bryan entree ($11.50) is also quite popular and amounts to a grilled chicken breast fillet topped with goat cheese, tomatoes, and sauce. I had the Tag Pic Pac with chicken ($9 + $2, shrimp is also an option). It consists of tagliarini pasta (long, paper-thin ribbon noodles) covered in Carrabba's "Pacchu Picchiu" sauce, made up of crushed tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, and basil. It was a filling dish for lunch, but quite heavy on the tomatoes. The Chicken Parmesan ($10) is good, but doesn't come with any pasta. It's just a piece of sauteed, breaded chicken breast with melted mozzarella and pomodoro cheeses and a small side (e.g. broccoli). Not a lot of food. David H. was our server and he did a good job. Carrabba's Cumberland is located down the street from Cumberland Mall and Chuck E. Cheese's. If you're traveling on Cumberland Blvd. from the east, Carrabba's comes up on your right-hand side rather fast, after you cross over I-285. Be ready to turn.

Not your best Italian restaurant. Better you go to the Carrabba's on Barrett Parkway just 10 minutes north. First we had a salad drowned in dressing - ok, that can happen. But.... This place cooks calamari into rubber bands with lots of salt - like way over cooked for those of us who eat calamari regularly. And then there were the mussels in sweet wine sauce (oh yuk!). Have you ever tasted mussels in sweet wine sauce - they are unbelievably horrible. I told the waitress to advise the chef that a dry white wine was more appropriate for this dish but she told the manager. That works -- except we never saw the manager at all. Wonder what s/he was doing instead of reaching out to custmers???? Anyhow, the long and the short of this is - go elsewhere for calamari and mussels if you really want good food. My recommendation is Carrabba's just a bit farther north up I-75 at Barrett Parkway. They cook these two items to perfection.

Went last Saturday night and this was the first time I have been to Carrabba's in many years. I had the Spiedino Di Mare which was really good. The scallops melts in your mouth and the shrimp were just as good. Plenty of fresh bread, which was needed since the portions were really small. I don't mind paying good money for good quality food; but come on put enough on the plate....There was four shrimp and maybe three scallops...along with the grilled zucchini. Certainly won't be a place I frequent much, but on occasion, why not....as long as I am not too hungry...

I did a to go order online. Arrived at the restaurant 30 minutes after ordering to find out the order wasn't there and that if I wanted to I could place another one and it would an additional 30-40 mins before that would be completed. As for bringing anything out to your car. Yea right. I sat outside in the curbside zone for 2-5 minutes waiting on someone to come out. No one did. I finally went inside and that's when I was informed my order was in the land of not to be had. Thanks but no thanks.

I had a late dinner at Carrabba's last Thursday night and had great food and service. The warm bread with the olive oil and spices was delicious. I ordered a chicken parmasean paninni with a salad and lentil soup. The tab for 4 people before tip was about $50. The soup definitely had a kick to it because it had a generous amount of spicy italian sausage to it. It was fabulous, I could eat it everyday. The salad was refreshing and yummy with small pieces of cucumber, sliced cherry tomatoes drizzled with olive oil. The chicken parmasean paninni hit the spot as well. My wife really enjoyed the flat bread and half of my salad. While my boys demolished their chicken parm sandwiches. My kids even asked me the next day what was the name of the restaurant that we ate at on Thursday. So I'm sure they'll be back with their college buddies.

Could A Chain Be Better Than A 'Mom and Pop' Place? Generally not, but in this case, yes!!! I think Carrabba's is just that good. The chicken marsala -- which may be their signature dish -- is superb. I don't even look at the menu: chicken marsala with extra mushrooms, angel hair pasta cooked al dente with garllic & olive oil, and a house salad. Oh, and their crusty bread with olive oil and spices ..... this is my idea of a great dinner!

The first time I dined at Carrabba's was while I was living in Las Vegas. My sister came to visit, so we went here and we were both blown away from the excellent table service to the delicious food. Now that Im living in Atlanta, she came to visit again, and we decided we have to find one out here to go to. Maybe it was the Vegas air that made the food taste so good...cuz I left the restaurant like ehhh..wasn't all that! I ordered the chicken parm with garlic mashed potatoes. Tasted and looked like an amateur made it in an Manhattan kitchenette. I wasn't impressed at all. My love affair with this chain has come to an abrupt end. The chicken seemed salty. 2 cool things about Carrabba's: 1. The kitchen is there for everyone to see how the food is prepared, which is really cool. 2. The whole sprinkling the spices on a plate and throwing olive oil on it for you to dip your bread in. I swear the one in Vegas had better bread. I think they gave up just warm white bread this time around. Smh. The waiter was cool at least. The end.

It all boils down to people. Servers had a tough night which came down to some issues with delivery. Spoke with the manager Catherine ... awesome. Really wish that more managers were like her. Added an extra star for her attentiveness and her balanced support for the staff. Overall what could have been a bad experience really turned into a decent one.

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

(1)Tres B.
(3)Anthony D.
What can I say? It's Carrabbas. Its always packed on weekends, food is usually tasty, prices are good. Service can be bad though if its as crowded as it is when we are there.
(4)Kisha M.
(3)Sonja K.
(5)Albert H.
Dont think it's that bad for a chain, i enjoyed the food even though it was all a little bit too salty.
(3)Shardul S.
(1)Neeta L.
(4)Mei L.
SKIP THIS PLACE!!! no one greeted us and at least 6 people saw us. so we left. I couldn't imagine the wait for food if we actually stayed and ate.
(1)Cindy W.
(5)Desmond M.
(5)Diane M.
(5)Steve B.
I know. I know. This place gets 5 stars. This is the first location I ever been to and it's really in a secret location. I love the food! The quick service, never a wait! Portions is grand. Nice and cozy atmosphere. 5 stars across the board Overall grade: A+
(5)Maria S.
I go to this place often, sometimes order to go. Its good, people are friendly, quick, the place looks good. The food is good for the price. Family orientated.
(4)Ben C.
Filet marsala is always good, and for the price is hard to beat. Always consistent.

(2)Alex V.
(2)Anjali S.

Still good

Always consistently good. This visit was no exception. Food was spot-on. Service was a little slower than usual, but still okay.

(5)Heather B.

(4)Nelscine e.
(4)Jm P.
JP
(5)Gerald U.
my buddy from Louisiana showed me this place when we were in ATL. I love italian food and it sucks that there are none of these restaraunts in California. SMH. But whenever i'm in the South or the Eastcoast, i will be looking for a local carrabba's!
(4)Whitney T.
Pretty good. Very wide variety on the menu. Excellent customer service. I guess I just had very high expectations since I heard such great things about it. Did it live up to the rave reviews, no. But was it still good, yes. I personally prefer The Macaroni Grill over Carrabbas.
(3)Alex C.

(3)Thomas C.
(4)Jennifer S.

Serve warm.
(4)Amanda J.

(4)DM S.
The food is delicious but the service is very hit or miss. More often than not, I've had terrible service which is really disappointing because it really breaks the meal.

i have been on 85-90 carrabbas restaurants,,from boca raton to tampa from atlanta perimeter to denver to ann arbor michigan... mama mandolas sicilian chicken soup is 4 star,johnys..which is grilled chicken breast topped with fresh basil ,sun dried tomato and goat chese, sirloin steak with mushroom sauce is real good i recommended..

(1)Adree O.
4 stars because it's a chain. But Carrabbas is very tasty. Compared to Olive Garden (i really don't like ) Carrabas food is really good.
(4)Nicole W.
(5)Athena W.
(5)Matt R.
Awesome Food!!!!!!! Service was good, but not great... That's why it gets 4 stars and not 5.
(4)Stefanie R.
(5)T. Murray -.
(4)Tara H.
(3)Esteban V.
(4)Teresa D.
Great restaurant, always fresh and consistantly tasty food every time!! I've tried just about everything on the menu and have never been disappointed.
(5)J F.
Service was great! We had Ross as our waiter he was very attentive and friendly. ..the best I've had at this carrabbas so far. ..food was so yummy lol. ..everything cooked the way I ordered it. ..3 course Monday was definitely a hit! !!

(3)Natalie W.
(2)Queenie D.
Food and service is still great. I didn't like how my server was very skimpy with the bread dip though ... Atmosphere is still pretty good ... But this location just wasn't doing it for me.
(3)Rian A.
(4)Clara C.
(3)Charli P.
(4)Peter Gof L.
O.K. Good, nothing exceptional. Service was a bit slack;I needed to search for my waitress twice, which made me "cut" her tip - which I normally do 20% +,but for what I received,I was sorry to have to leave just 11%. That's the way it is/goes.
(3)Angie Q.
(4)Jenny C.

The food was very good but the service was slow. Regardless, we'll be back!

This place is absolutely pathetic. I had the Salt dish with Prosciutto Wrapped Shrimp and my date had the Salt dish with the Cavatappi Martino. The side of mashed potatoes should have been more appropriately labeled side of salt drizzled with puréed (yes, puréed, not mashed) potatoes. We were just happy there was no salt in our wine. Never having bothered to check with us after serving our meal, the waitress finally noticed our barely touched plates and dispatched a manager to our table, who started arguing with us about how much salt we eat at home and that he himself likes a lot of salt. NEITHER he nor our waitress attempted to remove the untouched dishes from our table. This being at 9 pm, we attribute our waitress or the manager's lack of attention to our table to the frantic vacuuming and other pre-close activities by the staff a WHOLE HOUR before they were scheduled to close. Pathetic. I don't know how the same corporates who own this place also own Flemings; eventually people will start to point out their affiliation with such lame excuse for a restaurant.

Good food. Curb side service is horrible.
